But it's finally here!
My First True Big Pokemon fic that's not a Mini Story/One Shot Collection/Crossover! ;)
After all the Build up I made with Metamorphosis, Paldean Memories and elements of Stories of the Smash Mansion… I'm Finally can began work on this Fic!
While Scarlet and Violet may have a Rocky Start, We can't deny the Characters (Save for Maybe Geeta) are arguably a Success at the very least and I do hope I can do so for them in this Fic!
That Said, I also recommend Reading my Two Fics (Metamorphosis and Paldean Memories) to help get better maximum enjoyment of this Fic… But I'll do my best to explain stuff for those not interested in reading another fic for extra details….

Prologue: Beginnings of a Mermaid

Long Ago In the Region of Sinnoh when it was known as Hisui, During the Era of the Hero of Hisui,
There were two Sisters, The Daughters of the Rulers of the Celestica People….
One of Birth and One of Adoption….
Both Sisters were the Pride of the Celestica People, Being the Prefect Princesses of the Ancient People of Arceus's Followers as well as allies of the Hero of Hisui.
The Sisters are more then just siblings, They're the Best of Friends as well…
However, Things took a turn for the worst however, When the Sister's parents eventually passed away… Leaving the Older Sister in charge of the Throne…
But somehow, The Younger sister's developed a sense of Envy for her older sibling and under a fit of Jealousy after learning her Sister was Adopted unlike her, Believing their Parents were wrong to justify her older sibling as their Heir to the throne instead of her due to her being the Biological Child of them instead of her…
She then took her Loyal Followers and attempted to kill her and take what she considers her rightful birthright
The Older sister fought back however, Neither intending to back down however as both siblings clashed with their Armies to the Death…
Their Conflict causing destruction in the Region of Hisui as well, Especially when the Older Sister's attacks were more on the Offense then her younger sibling's.
Those whom remain netural to the Conflict prayed to Almighty Sinnoh to end the Conflict… Hoping the Warring Sisters would be stopped by the Original One…
Surely enough, Their Prayers were heard and Arceus descend form above, to stop the conflict once and for all…. Defeating the Sister's Armies as they plead for mercy form the Almighty Sinnoh for their Actions, but the God of Pokemon didn't buy it however….
"For your Pride and Ignorance, Thou shall be Punished!"
For their Actions endangering the lives of Many, Arceus then transformed the Warring Sisters and their Followers into Creatures of the Depths,
The Younger Sister and her Army becoming Merfolk while the Older Sister and her Servants became Cecaelias… Creatures that are Part Pokemon and Part Human….
Arceus then Banished the Transformed Sisters and their Armies to the Depths of the Ocean….
The Celestica People thanked the Almighty Sinnoh as it returns to the Heavens above, As Peace soon returned to Hisui at the Cost of the Royal Family's Children however….
However, Despite their Changed forms, The Sisters' Hatred was so strong, Their Curse and new Feral Natures befall them and their Descendants to bare a Grudge against each other… Cursing them to be in a never ending battle should they encounter the other species.
Overtime however, The Merfolk and Cecaelias ventured off to other regions, their Hatred for the other remaining as well however as they believed to themselves that they're the Good Guy instead of the other species while forming Various Tribes around the world as they became what people call the Bridge between Human and Pokemon…
But One Mermaid's about to find herself in the Biggest conflict of her life….

World of Pokemon, Hoenn Region, Route 129, Small Seaside Craven:
"Come on Mizu… It'll be ok…." Said Johnny Nami as he looked back to his Mermaid Wife Mizu Nami as the Palafin Mermaid was currently giving birth to their Child, The Palafin Mermaid trying to push out the Baby inside her while her Husband, Brother in Law, Grand Mother and Several of the Elders in the Hoennian Merfolk Tribe are looking
"Thank you Johnny…" Wheezed Mizu as she smiled back to her Husband. "Our bundle of joy… She's coming soon… I can feel it…"
("Don't worry Sis! Just do it!") Said Athena, Mizu's Milotic Sister as she, Johnny's Plusle Plu-Plu and Alvin's Manetric were beside her as well… The Former even comforting Athena as she tries to get her Baby out while the Elder of her Tribe Arashi, An Elderly Merman of 100 Years old with a Gyarados Dorsal fin and Royal Blue Scaled Tail was beside her, Riding on his Gyarados as he held his staff nearby while chanting to help Mizu's with her Birth.
"Thanks Anthea…. Thanks Plu-Plu… And thanks Manetric…" Mizu answered back with a smile to her Sister as well as both of her Husband and Brother's Pokemon…
As Alvin looked at his Sister in Law, He remained slient as while he wasn't exactly Gung-Ho of his Little Brother marrying a Mermaid, He rather not invoked the wrath of her Tribe onto him given the Merfolk oath to secrecy to outsiders unless they're in love (And even then, Said Lovers must be trusted if it's not a trick as well)
'Ok, Keep it together, Don't think of your Future Niece as a Freak, Just treat her like you'll treat Mizu lately, She's a Freak but she's family and you certainly don't want to invoke an angry merfolk army against you because you betrayed their Oath of Secrecy…' Thought Alvin as he never questioned when Johnny fell in Love with Mizu,
Intially she seems to be just an odd girl whom's oddly very Pokemon-like for him but as time went on, He and Johnny eventually learnt Mizu was a Mermaid and thus, fallen into a Promise by her tribe to keep their existance safe as well.
However despite his Wife's Mermaid Nature, Johnny still loved Mizu and was helping her birth their little bundle of joy as well.
After a While, Alvin then noticed a Loud sound of crying as the Spikey Haired Brother rushed towards his Brother and Sister in law…
Which to his Surprise, Besides Mizu's Watery Eyes, Was a Baby whom was crying out loud with Palafin like Squeaks escaping form her mouth…
Said Baby was no doubt a Mermaid, Sharing her Mother's Scarlet Red Scales and Palafin like Dorsal Fin (Abit with her Tail fin lacking the Blue Hue present in her Mother's Tail Fin as well) as she opened her brown eyes as she gazed them into her Mother's.
"Welcome to the World, Juliana…" Said Mizu as the Older Mermaid as she shed some tears while her newborn baby, As she looked back to her Husband whom smiled back to her.
"Juliana, I'm you Father.. and this is your Mother Mizu… We're your Parents…. So don't be scared…." He said as Juliana looked back to her and the Woman holding her, The Mermaid realizing they're a Parents as she let out a Squeak of joy as she did.
Johnny then hugged his Wife as she held their Newborn Daughter as she looked back to him and squeal in joy as she looked back to her Father as an Elderly Mermaid with a Palafin Fin and Scarlet Scale Tail (Accompanied by a Gorebyss) looked back to Mizui as she grin as wide as a Meowth at this.
"Aw…. You caught yourself a Good one Mizumi!" Chuckled Koraru as she looked back to her Daughter with her newly borned Granddaughter. "You gotten quite the Man you mated with but you got a Wonderful Bundle of joy as well!"
"Personally, I'll call her Aoi but that's just me…" She admitted with a Chuckle to her Granddaughter as the Mermaid smiled back to her Mother.
"Well Mom, It was Johnny's Idea… And besides, Her Scales are Red not Blue…" Said Mizu as Juliana began nibbling her Mother as no doubt her Pokemon Instincts are showing already.
Soon Elder Arashi soon approached Mizu as she looked back to the Newborn Mermaid and then to her Human Husband, the Elderly Merman Leader of the Hoenn Merfolk Tribe.
"Raise Juliana well Johnny… She's your own Flesh and Blood….A Merfolk's life may not be a Human but we're just as much like them as we are Pokemon…"
"I will Mr. Arashi…." Said Johnny as he looked back to the Merman Leader of his Wife's Tribe. "You have my word…"
"Same with you Mr. Alvin… Remember the Pact extends to you… You're responsible for Mizu and Juliana as the Brother of Mr. Johnny... The Merfolk must remain a Secret form the outside as much as possible." Arashi admitted as the other elders of the Clan including Koraru as she chuckle
"Well Deary, You better not break my dear Mizumi's Heart! Cause we Merfolk don't take well to broken Promises to say the least!" Said the Elderly Palafin Mermaid as she took out her Staff and pointed to the Spikey haired Brother gulped in fear with those words, No doubt he's part of the Deal with Johnny to allow him and Mizu to date and marry each other.
"We won't Mrs. Koraru! You have me and Alvin's Word!" Said Johnny as Alvin looked back in Surprise as he nodded back quickly. "We'll keep Mizu and Juliana safe as well!"
"Don't worry Mom! I'll make sure Alvin and Johnny stay true to their words and raise Juliana well!" Mizu added on with a smile as Juliana looked towards the other Merfolk (and briefly Alvin) and then to her Parents.
("Same here! You can trust Little Juliana would be well treated Mom!") Athena answered back as she smiled back to her Mother by her Mermaid Sister's Side as Koraru chuckled back this.
"Indeed…. You better cause we Merfolk aren't exactly the Forgiving type if a Promise is Broken!" Said Koraru as she and her Gorebyss sister glared back to the two Brothers.
"We got it… Don't worry!" Said Alvin as Johnny just nodded back in Agreement to his Mother in Law.
"….Very Well then… We shall see… See you again one day Johnny… Treat Mizu well…." Said Arashi as the Elder Merman soon dived back into the Depths with his Gyarados Brother with Koraru and the other Elders and their Pokemon doing the same as Mizu looks back to Johnny as he smiled back to his Wife.
"Mizu, Even if my Work keeps You, Juliana and I apart… I'll do everything I could to keep you safe… I Promise you that…"
"You Promised?" Said Mizu as Juliana looked back to her Father and Mother, The Baby Mermaid looking Curious at this as she simply squeaked out in puzzlement.
"I promised!" He said as he and Plu-Plu smiled back to her, The Mermaid and her mate Smiling as tears rolled down their eyes as they did while Juliana squealed in joy being with her Family as she rubbed her webbed hands onto her Father's Face as he chuckled back at this.

Juliana soon lived a happy life with her Mother, Father and Uncle afterwards….
While Juliana and her Mother often live with their Merfolk Tribe, The Days whenever she spents time with her Father were some of her most treasured moments,
But even then, She still treasured her time with her Mother and her Mer-tribe, Getting along with other Merfolk Children as well…

When Juliana's 7 years old, Hoenn Route 124, Under Water:
"Tag! Your it!" Said Lola, A Brown haired Mermaid with a Bob haircut, Light Blue Scales and a Seaking like Backfin was currently tagging Juliana with another Mermaid named Annie whom was a Girl with a Pony Tail, Brown scaled tail and Backfin that resembles a Whiscash's Fin, Just tagging Juliana whom smirked back while gashing her fangs back to them,
"Well, It's tag time!" Said Juliana as she swam towards her friends as both Lola and Annie tried to swim away which Juliana then swam towards like a Floatzel towards her friend which she was able lunge towards Annie and tagged her.
"Tag your it now!" She sneered as she tapped Annie as the Whiscash Mermaid froze form the Palafin's Mermaid's touch, No doubt she's the it now.
"Aw Man! You got us Juliana!" Said Annie as she and Lola smiled back to Juliana, their own fangs showing as well as they did.
"Awe it's nothing, Well you're the it now!" Said Juliana as she and Lola smiled back to Annie whom smiled back to them as the Game of Tag Resumes onwards with Annie now as the It, Joy and Laughter resuming as the three Mermaids continued their little game.

When Juliana's 7 Years Old, Rustbro City, Johnny and Alvin's Apartment, Juliana's Bedroom:
"Papa! Papa!" Said Juliana as the Mermaid was in her Human Form (With a Small Clip resembling a Pokeball on her braid as well), Wearing a Simple white Dress (Merfolk then to usually Detest Clothing and wore only simple clothing when on the Surface save for Royalty and Kalosian Merfolk) as she was currently in her Room (Which Contains so Many Plushes and Stuffed Toys of Pokemon that are mostly Water Types like Wailord, Palafin, Swampert, Piplup and Greninjas with amusingly a Small Plush Collection of a Floette, Skiddo, Swablu and Eevee (Which Alvin got Juliana as a Birthday Present recently as well) as her Father entered the Room, The Little Mermaid dashing towards him and launching herself in his arms.
"Awe Juliana! I told you I'll be back today!" Said the Office Worker as Johnny and Plu-Plu smiled back to her daughter whom was just smiling to her father as she snuggled him while smiling with her Fangs present in her mouth.
"Yeah Papa! Let's play Let's play!" Said Juliana as the Mermaid snuggled her Father as he then placed her down before taking one of the Plushes as Juliana took another, the Two of them and Plu-Plu having a Make-Believe Pokemon Battle with them as Juliana let out more Palafin Squeaks form her mouth
All while Mizu is smiling at this with Anthena and Alvin with the Former two smiling at her Husband and Daughter/Brother in Law and Niece while the Latter just rolling his eyes at his Brother's Antics as well… No doubt something he was used to already.

She also meet one of her Mother's Friends and Befriended Siblings Merfolk Nate and Rosa Coral, Unovan Merfolk which Juliana quickly became fast Friends with the Latter especially, As the two Mermaids quickly became quick friends in the Process….

When Juliana was 8 years Old, Unova Region, Undella Bay, Underwater:
"So you're a Palafin Mermaid?" Said Rosa as the Brunette Alomomola Mermaid was currently swimming with Juliana whom was also currently swimming with her the Daughter of her Mother's Friend as Nate was swimming somewhere close to their Mother however.
"Yup!" Said Juliana as she swam beside her New Friend as the Palafin Mermaid was smiling back to her as well…
"Wait, Can you transform into a Hero Form Palafin?" Said Rosa as the Mermaid swam up to her Friend, With a Curious look. "You can do it right?"
Juliana remained slient as she looked back to her Back Fin and then to her Friend before saying:
"Not really… I don't think any of the Other Palafins in my Tribe can transform either.. Not even Mr. Wallence or even Lisa as well…" She admitted with a Sigh as she recalled as the Sootopolis City Gym Leader and his Niece are fellow Merfolk as well…
Palafins can transform into a Hero Mode but for some odd Reason, Merfolk that are related to Palafins can't do the same…
While the Mertribes aren't hostile about it nor do they bully Palafin Mermaids, It does make them feel Average at times lacking an Ability like the other Merfolk as well…
"That's ok Juliana! I'm sure it'll be fine!" Said Rosa with a Smile as Juliana looked back in shock.
"Really?" She questioned as Rosa answered back with a Smile..
"Sure! Wanna play tag!" She said as Juliana eager smiled back to her.
"Let's do this!" Said Juliana as a Palafin Click escaped her mouth, The two of them preparing to chase each other in a Game of Tag as the Two Mermaids became fast friends form this.

However When Juliana was 14, Tragedy Struck when the Actions of Team Magma and Team Aqua sought to awaken the Super Ancient Pokemon of Hoenn, Groudon and Kyogre which they not only succeded in Doing So but also awaken them in their Original Primal Forms…
Sending Hoenn's Ecosystem into Chaos as well, No doubt which would have destroyed Hoenn had not been for a Girl named May, Whom with the Help of a Draconoid Woman named Zinnia, Summoned the Legendary Rayquaza and Mega Evolved it to send the Hoenn Legendaries back to their Slumber.
However, It became unsafe for Merfolk in the Hoenn Region due to the Relentless Storms which makes Merfolk with Children understandable concern for their Children, Some deciding to relocate to other regions for the time being.
Mizu reluctantly decide to make sure Juliana doesn't get near anywhere near Poachers or Hunters, Decided to temporary relocate to another Region, Originally planning to go to Unova but however, It too was suffering form it's own Problems as well…
So upon a Call to Alvin, Johnny said that Paldea could be a Good Place for Mizu and Juliana to stay for the time being…. Especially since the Local Naranja Academy could help Juliana adjust to life on the Surface as well
Juliana was initially upset by this… But she bregrudgingly accepted it as it'll be Temporary and she'll return back to her Family soon….

Hoenn Region, Lilycove City, Airport:
"Juliana… I know it's hard to be together right now… But I promised, I'll try to call you and Mizu when I can…." Said Johnny
"You will?" Juliana questioned as she tried to fight back the Idea of being Separated form her Father, Small Droplets rolling down her checks as they did.
"Yes, Via this…." He said as he took out a Rotom Phone with a Blue Casing to Juliana whom takes it with some surprise.
"This will help keep us in touch as much as Possible, Mizu has one of her own, So this Rotom Phone would be prefect for you…." Said Johnny with a smile as Juliana smiled back to him
"Thanks Dad…" Juliana as she couldn't control some of her Tears as they rolled down her eyes as well… No doubt still conflicted about her new Situation.
"Don't cry Juliana… It won't be goodbye forever… I promise…" Said Johnny as he was also about to cry as well. "You and Mizu are my Greatest Treasures, No matter what others say about you…."
"Thanks dad…" Juliana said, Letting out a Palafin Click that was softer then her usual.
"We'll be safe dear, Don't worry…" Said Mizu as her own eyes have tears in them, No doubt while it's not goodbye forever, She'll miss Johnny as much as Juliana misses him.
"Stay safe dears…" He said as he gave his Mermaid Daughter and Wife one final hug for the time being as afterwards, Juliana and her Mother rushed off to their Plane, Mizu and her Child looking one final time at Alvin whom smiles back to them with tears in his own eyes as the two Mermaids soon got onto the Plane for the Paldea Region… Where Juliana would be living till the Primal Groudon/Primal Kyogre Incident can get sorted out….
Both Mother and Daughter have heavy hearts about this, But they knew one day, They'll be reunited with Johnny once the mess in Hoenn is fixed.

However, What Juliana doesn't know, Is that The Biggest adventure of her life would soon began in Paldea as well….
And it all started when she was enrolled in the Naranja Academy… Where she'll meet Three People she'll treasure the Most together…
As well as the Secrets of her Kind….

Yeah, I Suppose this Prologue is moreso Snippits of Juliana's Home Life before she moved to Paldea in Hoenn including her Birth,
Ok, I Done this with Metamorphosis Chapter 10 (Memories of a Mermaid), But I figured for a Prologue would be fitting here to some extent as well as Show some of Juliana's Merfolk Tribe as well (Also, Juliana's not of Royality btw, It's basically a Ceramony by the Mertribes for Mermaids with Human Husbands to make sure they'll stay true to their word to keep them a Secret)
Yeah, She's basically has the most stable Family between her, Arven, Nemona and Penny…. (Penny's Mother's Abusive in my Stories, It's another reason why Team Star Matters so much to Penny besides concern for her Friends and their Futures, It's cause they're more of Family then her own Family)
And While her Father's Busy with work and She and her Mother and separated form him due to their Different species… Johnny's trying his best to spend as much of his Time with his Family as he could unlike Sada/Turo at least.
And yeah, I already mentioned it before in Metamorphosis Chapter 2 that Juliana and her Mom moved to Paldea due to the Primal Groudon/Primal Kyogre and Team Magma/Team Aqua Stuff… It's mostly because Mizu didn't want Juliana to be exposed to other Humans that aren't trustworthy…
And Since Alvin's in Paldea due to getting a Job there… They decided to move there for the time being…. (Unova was originally Mizu's Choice since Rosa and Nate's Mother was a Friend of hers but since the Events of B2W2 has occurred, So Paldea it was for Juliana)

Now for the Mermaid/Cecaelia Origin Story….
Yeah, It's not exactly Shakespeare/Tolkien levels of Quality but I figured the Origin of the Merfolk should be at least be basically a Punshiment form Arceus at least (A Cruel Mercy at least)
And tying the Merfolk and Cecaelias to Arceus is intentional…. And if you seen Metamorphosis, All I can say is a Certain Merchant is going to be playing quite a Role in Mermaid Legends at least….
Plus, I hope I did these family moments well enough!
I hope I did Little Juliana's Scenes with her Parents and Uncle well enough…
Cause Next Chapter would be back to the Present Time with Juliana as well! ;)
