"Kill him!"

Usopp ran for his life. He had no time to turn around or even look where he was going. He just blindly ran in whichever direction his feet were taking him. Running at top speed he maneuvered his way through the thick forest.

Unfortunately luck was not on his side as he now found himself at the edge of a cliff.

"Hold it right there, Pirate Scum!" A guard said from behind. They all had shotguns pointed right at him ready to fire.

Usopp held up his hands and slowly turned around to face them. Oh if only he still had his satchel and Kabuto right now, these guys wouldn't stand a chance.

The crew was only supposed stop on this island for fresh food and supplies.

When and where did it all go wrong?!

Earlier that week...

Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper where busy fishing on the deck of the Sunny. The sky was blue with only just a few clouds here and there.

A perfect day to go fishing.

Brook was busy playing his violin, while Nami and Robin relaxed in their lawn chairs, soaking in the suns rays. Franky was working in his workshop while Sanji was busy in the kitchen preparing food, and Zoro was busy napping in the crows nest after finishing yet another long workout session. Jinbei was quietly steering the ship, happily enjoying the peace and tranquility. (A bit of a rarity on this ship)

The seas where calm and peaceful and the three fisherman of crew where patiently waiting for a nibble. They didn't have to wait too long, as Usopp felt a tug on his pole.

"Hay guys! I caught one!" He called out excitedly.

"Really?! Alright! Reel 'em in!" Luffy cried enthusiastically, grabbing onto Usopp's pole to help reel it in.

Chopper watched with excitement as the two older teens started playing tug-of-war with their latest catch.

"It's a stubborn one, that's for sure!" Said Usopp as he and Luffy gave the pole a yank.

"I bet it's a big one!" Said Luffy, practically drooling at the thought of it.

With one final yank, the two managed to pull out... an old boot.

Their faces all fell, and they grumpily tossed the thing back into the ocean. Their growling stomachs only making things worse.

"SANJI! When is the food gonna be ready? I'M STARVING!" Luffy whined.

"YEAH! WE'RE STARVING!" Usopp and Chopper cried in unison.

"IT'S ALMOST DONE, YOU PIGS! JUST WAIT A LITTLE LONGER!" Sanji called out in frustration.

"BUT I'M HUNGRY NOW!" Luffy whined some more.

"YEAH! US TOO!" Usopp and Chopper once again cried in unison.

"WELL TOO BAD! YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT TILL IT'S READY!" Sanji said grumpily as he began adding the finishing touches to his latest dish.

Nami rolled her eyes, the piece and quiet having been disturbed. Robin chuckled and put down the book she had been reading, stood up and stretched the tiredness out of her limbs.

"Shall we?" She said smiling, turning to the navigator.

"Sure! Just give me a minute with those two!" Nami said pointing her head in the direction of the ship's captain and sniper.

"Of course!" She replied still smiling and walked up to pick up Chopper. The little Reindeer smiled back at her as she carried him up to the dining room.

The sound of two whacks were heard across the ship as Luffy and Usopp now ley in a heap on the ground.

"Now that, that's settled! Let's eat!" Nami stated dusting her hands off, she then made her way to the dining room, followed by the others.

"Yohohoho! So scary!" Brook laughed also making his way to the dining hall.

Zoro awoke from his nap and climbed down the mast, and looked at to two lumps on the ground. "Get up you two. It's lunch time!" And with that he continued to walk past them and up to the dining hall. Luffy and Usopp both jumped up and shook off their dizziness and raced each other to the dining hall... only to get stuck at door.

Franky, who just got back from his workshop chuckled as he and Jinbei also made their way to the dining room. "Never a dull moment around here!" He laughed and pushed the two struggling teenagers through the door frame. The two of them landed on the floor with a hard thud.

Sanji had just finished plating up the meals. "Alright, who's hungry?" He said hold up two plates of pasta.

"WE ARE!" came the almost unanimous call from the whole crew.

Sanji smiled and set the food in front of Nami and Robin respectively. "Here you go ladies!" He said with hearts in his eyes. He then continued to pass out food to the rest of the crew.

After lunch, Sanji went to check on the inventory to see what was needed. As he feared the crew's food stock was starting to run low. He'll need to talk to Nami about that.

He made his way to the navigators office as that's where she took off to after eating and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Nami's heavenly voice called from inside.

"It's me, my darling!" Said Sanji swooning on the spot.

Nami not even paying attention, as she was too busy drawing yet another map simply nodded and said "Come in!" without looking up from her work. He opened the door and let himself in. "What is it?" She asked continuing her work.

Sanji, after having calmed down a bit in a more serious tone spoke. "We going to need to stop and resupply. Our food is starting to run out!"

Nami stopped and looked up at him with a look that said 'seriously?! He simply nodded in return. She hung her head and shook it, having not realized there supplies have run low.

"Alright! Let me check the log pose!" She said checking the needles to see which island would be the safest and hopefully benefit them the most.

Upon making her decision she turned to face Sanji. "Call a meeting! We're taking a detour!"

A/N And that's it for chapter one. Hope you enjoy
