Author Notes
Okay... Hello there! As you can see, this is the beginning of another story, one with an unusual ship. But well, my heart just told me to do it, so here we are. Just like Limit, this one is a translation of the Spanish version, but it's not finished yet. The idea is that when both versions align, hopefully, I will take the initiative to, well, end it.
The inspiration for this one comes from the game "Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time" and a fanfic in some aspects (very few). The name of this one is "What a Decade Brings," and the author is Onhiro.
Please don't relate them because they are very different.
I hope you like it, and feel free to leave a review if you want.
Declaimer: I don't own any characters from Little Witch Academia, I'm just doing this for fun.
Chapter I
Repudiatio
"¡D-D-Diana, I like you !"
She had finally said it, after so much time, turning those feelings over in her mind and heart, she had finally let it all out. But there was just one small thing that wasn't as she had hoped; the place where she had done it was anything but the right one for something as important as this.
Indeed, her personality was supremely impulsive. Akko herself knew that she wasn't known for having self-control. However, even she wondered how her foolish heart had compelled her to do it this way.
.
.
Her entire class remained paralyzed after the magical words, and it's certain that no spell would have the same effect.
The person she was addressing stared at her with those cold eyes as she always did, and her hair, a mix of gold and green, was perfectly groomed, just like every part of her body. "Is this some kind of joke?" Diana said, and immediately, Akko felt a small crack forming in her soul. "N-no, Diana, it's not a joke. I-I really like you," she replied nervously. "Haaa," She sighed, and that definitely wasn't a good reaction. "How do you think someone like you can be with a Cavendish?"
"I-I..." she tried to respond, but nothing came out of her mouth. Every word in the universe seemed incapable of escaping her tongue, and the torment continued. "Have you even looked at yourself? You're a sorry excuse for a witch," Diana scoffed, moving her jaw forward to show superiority. "So, in case it wasn't clear, no, I don't intend to have a relationship with you."
'Crack' sounded as if something had broken, and the fissure that had previously been superficial extended to the deepest part of her being. Everything turned dark and cold, and in the silence that still prevailed, she began to hear footsteps, one after another. Occasionally, there were whispers or taunts, and that only increased her pain.
Time passed, and she didn't move from where she was, still as a statue. Diana and the others had already left, and a few rays of orange sunlight were beginning to filter through the windows. The warm feeling brushing against her skin was the only thing that managed to elicit a reaction. When she turned to gather her belongings, she saw her two best friends. Sucy played with some vials with indifference, while Lotte looked at her with tears in her eyes, clearly concerned.
Without saying a word, Akko mustered the little strength she had left, gathered her things, and began to walk back to her room.

As soon as she reached the wooden door, she opened it with force and ran directly to the bed. She didn't care about the clothes she was wearing or her shoes. She lifted the blankets and crawled underneath, covering herself completely. Curled up as tightly as she could, she began to sob like she had never done before in her life.
How could Diana be so cold?
Why did she have to fall in love with her?
Did she deserve all this mistreatment?
Was the type of witch she was really that important to her?
Was she really so damn superficial?
Thousands of questions invaded her mind, and for none of them did she have an answer. Everything was so cloudy and despairing. She just wanted to rest, forget everything, and go on with her life as if nothing had happened.

Hannah couldn't even imagine in her wildest dreams what was going to happen that afternoon.
Everything was going normally; the classes were boring, but there were occasional interesting details. Barbara, as always, was focused on her notes, occasionally taking out a small book to write some nonsensical things. Diana, on the other hand, wasn't herself today; she seemed a bit stressed. It might not have been apparent in her attitude, but after so many years together, she had the ability to notice things that others couldn't.

They were entering Alchemy class with Professor Lukic, and luckily, it was the last class of the day. Each group took their place around a small stove that contained everything necessary for the practical exercises. When everyone was ready, the class proceeded as usual.

After the class was over and the teacher had assigned homework for the next week, she saw a certain brown-haired Japanese girl slowly approaching their seats. She began to suspect that maybe Akko wanted to start another one of her characteristic tantrums. So, she was already preparing a few things she wanted to say. To her surprise, Akko lifted her head and shouted to the heavens that she liked Diana. Every foul word or insult that had come to her mind disappeared, because who would have imagined such a thing? They were as different as water and oil. How on earth had she fallen in love with her?
The response didn't take long to come, and damn, it was harsh. Even Hannah wouldn't dare to be so cold. While what she would describe as humiliation continued, she looked closely at the girl in front of her, noting her posture and every little movement she made. The sparkle in her eyes fading with every word Diana uttered, her hair arranged in her characteristic ponytail, accompanied by that bang that made her look a bit cute.
'Cute'? What the heck were you saying?
She felt footsteps by her side and realized that Diana was leaving. She had been distracted while observing Akko and hadn't noticed when they had finished talking, if you could even call it that. Barbara was already behind her, and realizing she didn't have time left before losing them, she quickly gathered her things and dashed out, not without giving one last glance to the poor girl who was just staring into space.
.
.
They had arrived in their room, and Diana quickly hid behind the bookshelf that covered her area. Hannah walked to her desk, where she first placed her things and then went to her bed. In front of her, Barbara did the same, not without exchanging glances, and she knew very well what that meant. Barbara wanted to talk about what happened in class today. Sighing, she waited for the other girl to be ready, and then they both left to the dormitory hallway.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Did you see that?" Barbara exclaimed as she shouted.
"Barbs, they were right in front of us, how could I not see it?" she said while watching the girl jump with excitement.
"I can't believe it, Akko in love with Diana. How did it happen? When did it happen?" and she continued, jumping with excitement. "Barbs, calm down, it's not the end of the world," she replied a bit coldly. "Eeeeeh, don't be such a buzzkill, and it's even weirder that you're not as excited as I am," she said.
"Pffft, like I even care," she said disdainfully. "What was interesting, though, was the way she rejected her. Didn't you find it even cruel on Diana's part?"
"Now that you mention it, I never imagined she would respond like that. Hmmm, that's strange. Diana would never behave that way. Why do you think she did that?"
"Look, the truth is, it doesn't matter. What's done is done. Let's just go before we can't have dinner because we're late."
"Hey, Han, wait."
And without looking back, she continued on her way to the dining hall. However, every time she remembered how Akko reacted to Diana's rejection, a small sense of annoyance began to form in her chest.
