CHAPTER ONE: A NEW BEGINNING
Roxanne and I made it back to Fazcade where all of our friends were still dancing to the music that the giant spider was playing with some very catchy song that I had no knowledge of. Our hands were wrapped tightly in a warm embrace. My face heated up as we inched closer to them. I looked at Roxanne, who had a small goofy smile on her face.
It had been a few minutes ago since I confessed to Roxanne how I felt about her and not long ago that we both became a couple. The entire time we made the walk back to Fazcade, the whole situation felt so surreal, like a dream you just had coming true before your very eyes, whether it was a good dream or a nightmare.
To be honest, romance was something that I gave up on a long time ago. The memories of what happened to me throughout my school years convinced me that such a thing would never happen to me in my life. On top of that, my years of being friendless didn't help with the idea of making friends after so many had stabbed me in the back many times. However, it looked like fate planned for me to get together with the one and only Roxanne Wolf. Plus, I had made many friends in a short period of time.
One of them was a man named Peter Brown, one of my neighbors in the small neighborhood I moved into a few years ago. I wasn't into the idea of being friends with him back then, but now, after all that's happened, I can now consider him a friend. Not only that, I made friends with the other Glamrocks, along with my manager, Kyle Baker who has been there every step of the way.
We entered the dance floor and looked around for our friends.
"Do you see them?" I asked as I continued to look.
"No, I don't," Roxanne replied. She stopped looking and turned her attention to me. "I can't wait to tell them that we're boyfriend and girlfriend now. They will be so happy for us."
I stopped and turned my attention to her, a smile forming on my face.
"I have no doubt in my mind that they will be ecstatic about the news," I said. I suddenly thought about Chica and I couldn't help but chuckle. Knowing Chica, she would scream in happiness as soon as we told her.
"What's so funny?" she asked.
"I just thought about how Chica would react to the news," I said. "I bet you that out of all of them, she would be the most excited and shout in joy."
Roxanne chuckled lightly at that. "I think she would. She has been wondering when we would get together since we started getting very close. You wouldn't believe how much she asked when you and I would finally become a couple whenever you weren't around. She has been the most supportive of us getting together. Freddy has been just as supportive about it. Monty, on the other hand, has been a little against it after…" She hesitated for a moment, an uncomfortable expression forming on her face. "Well, you know."
I nodded, understanding what she meant. On my first night on the job, I stupidly called out how I knew about her problems, reducing the wolf to tears. I was almost ripped to pieces for that. I could see why Montgomery would be somewhat against the concept.
"I get it," I said. "It's good to hear about that. Gives me a good idea about the whole thing."
Roxanne nodded and turned her attention back to the dance floor to find any signs of our friends. She turned her head in a specific direction and smiled.
"Found them," she said before pointing in that direction. I looked and smiled as well.
At the far corner of the room were Kyle, Freddy, Montgomery, and Chica dancing to the music. My expression turned into surprise when I saw how Montgomery and Chica were dancing. They were doing the same thing Roxanne and I were doing before we headed to Roxanne's old green room. I smirked at the sight. Something told me that it wouldn't be too long before those two would get together. It would be a good day for them.
Roxanne and I walked over to them, our hands still wrapped in that warm embrace. My heart began pounding rapidly in my chest as we got closer. From fear? Excitement? I couldn't tell.
"Hey, guys," we both said at the same time, the realization almost causing us to laugh. They stopped what they were doing, turning their attention to us.
"Hey, you two," Kyle said, looking at us with a smile.
"You two enjoying the dance?" Freddy asked.
We looked at each other for a moment before returning our focus to them.
"We are," I replied.
"It's just that we both have something to tell you guys," Roxanne added. "Something that we prefer to tell you all in private."
"Sure," Chica said. "Where do you want to tell us?"
I thought about it for a brief moment. We could tell them back at Rockstar Row, but Roxanne and I were just there not too long ago. I didn't think it would make any sense to do so. I tried to think of any place, but nothing came up.
"Why don't we talk about it on the third floor?" Roxanne suggested suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Since no one is up there right now, we can tell you guys the news."
They looked at each other and nodded. With that, we left the dance floor and walked up the stairs to the third floor of Fazcade.
As we inched closer to the third floor, my heart began pounding rapidly in my chest again, this time out of nervousness. I did my best to keep myself calm. I didn't know why I was so nervous to tell them about Roxanne and I getting together. This was something that was going to happen in the future, but now that it happened, I was nervous about how it was going to go.
We reached the third floor where there was indeed no one up here besides us. We went to the center before stopping. Roxanne and I turned to face them, each of them having curious expressions on their faces.
"So, you know how Roxanne and I have been getting close for a while now?" I asked. They nodded. I noticed that Chica was shaking slightly. Something told me that she had a good idea of what we were going to tell them. "Well, Roxanne and I went to her old green room and we talked."
I turned my attention to Roxanne, signaling to her that it was her turn to speak. Roxanne hesitated, a goofy smile forming on her face and her tail wagging happily. She looked at them.
"Mihael and I… are now officially dating," Roxanne finished. "We are boyfriend and girlfriend now."
We watched as their eyes widened at the news. Chica's eyes were the largest out of all of them. I waited for what they were going to do or say next. I could only imagine what was going on in their heads right now. To think that something like this could happen on a day like this… That was something I bet it was something none of them expected to happen.
"YEEEEEES!" Chica shouted out loud, throwing her arms up in the arms in victory, her hands clenched into fists. The shout snapped the others out of their stupor.
She lunged at Roxanne like a leopard trying to catch their prey that was trying to get away. The chicken collided into her before wrapping her arms around Roxanne.
"I've been waiting for this day!" Chica exclaimed happily, the chicken mascot looking like she was going to cry happy tears. "Congratulations, Roxy!"
"Indeed," Kyle said with a smile. "I'm happy for the both of you. I was wondering when that was going to happen. I had no idea it was going to be on this day."
I chuckled, rubbing the back of my head sheepishly. "It has been something I wanted to do for a while. Roxanne actually confessed to me over 2 months ago. I figured today would be the day."
Kyle nodded, the smile still plastered on his face. Freddy walked over to me, a big smile plastered on his face. I smiled brightly at him.
"I can't think of anyone better suited for her than you, Mihael," he said before he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug. "Congratulations, Mihael!"
"Thanks, Freddy," I said, trying my best to get some air into my lungs. "Now, can you please let me go? You're crushing me."
"Oh, sorry," he said before he let me go. I took in deep breaths to fill my lungs with the air that they begged for. I looked to see Montgomery walking over to me.
I noticed that he had a stern look on his face. I knew right away what he was going to say. Roxanne mentioned that he was slightly against the idea after what happened on my first night on the job. I mentally prepared myself for what he would say. Whatever it was, it was probably something serious.
"I'm happy for you two, but I will give you a warning," Montgomery said, his voice dead serious. "If anything bad happens to her or you do something to hurt her, I will make sure you pay dearly for it. Got it?"
I couldn't help but mentally chuckle at that. I understood where he was coming from. This was something brand new to her, and for me as well. Although I knew Roxanne and Montgomery got along fine, I knew that he would have her back no matter what.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine," I said casually. He nodded and his expression softened.
I looked to see Kyle and Freddy giving their congrats to Roxanne, who was still being embraced by Chica. I smiled at the sight. I had a feeling that everything would be okay. However, deep down, I knew that we would face obstacles in our relationship. Whatever they may be, Roxanne and I will face them.
JANUARY 14 2039 - 3 MONTHS LATER*
I woke up to the feeling of someone shaking me. I groaned softly as I shifted in my bed. I opened my eyes and looked to see who was shaking me. I smiled at the sight. Roxanne Wolf was standing beside the bed, a warm and loving smile plastered on her face.
It has been 5 months since I gained custody of her from Cress, the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. Roxanne has been pretty happy since then. Despite that, she misses her friends from time to time. So, on special occasions, I would bring her to the Pizzaplex and have her do what she did when she was still the company's property. She even gets to hang out with her friends on game night, so it wasn't all that bad.
Life has been great ever since. Well, not exactly. It has also been five months since the fateful battle against William Afton, a monster who almost killed both me and Roxanne. It didn't help that he survived the fight as well. Even though I do my best to spend my time with Roxanne, he still plagues me every day. I knew that we would have to face him. I had to be ready when that happens.
"Good morning, Roxanne," I said softly.
"Good morning, big shot," Roxanne said affectionately. "It's time to wake up."
I yawned and stretched to get my blood flowing. Once the tiredness left my body, I sat up on my bed and faced her. The blanket fell to show my bare chest. I was the kind of person who preferred to sleep in their undergarments.
"Did my mom send you to come wake me up?" I asked, even though I knew the answer to that stupid, silly question.
Ever since we moved back into my mom's house, my mother has been sending Roxanne to come wake me up. Even though I had an alarm clock to wake me up from my slumber and to signal the start of a new day, my mother felt the need to send her to come wake me up.
I didn't mind in the slightest. It was nice to wake up and see the face of the wolf mascot looking at me with a loving smile on her face. Seeing her every morning was a blessing in disguise.
Ever since Roxanne and I started dating, every day has been such a wonderful experience. To think that I missed out on something like this was crazy to even think about now. Meeting Roxanne Wolf and falling for her has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I don't think my life would be the way it is now if it wasn't for her being right here with me.
"She sure did," Roxanne replied. "She's already made breakfast for you. Come on down so it doesn't get cold."
"I will be down in a bit," I said. "But first, I need to get ready for work before I go downstairs. Let her know that."
She nodded before she kissed me on the cheek and left the room. I smiled at that before surveying my room. I couldn't help but smile a bit.
The bedroom in particular was my childhood bedroom that I used to sleep in before I moved into the neighborhood 5 years ago. It even looked exactly like it did when I moved out. A decent-sized room with a Queen-sized bed, a wooden computer desk with a second-hand computer and lamp, a large dresser filled with clothes, and a large bookshelf filled with books.
I sighed before getting out of my bed. I walked over to the dresser and opened it. I looked around for a bit before I pulled out a long-sleeved white T-shirt, black pants, and a pair of socks. I closed the dresser before putting on my clothes. Once they were on, I walked out of the bedroom, closing the door behind me.
I entered the dining room where my mother and Roxanne awaited me. I looked to see them sitting at the table, my mother sitting at her usual spot at the table and Roxanne sitting at the south end of the table. My mother was eating eggs and bacon while Roxanne sat with nothing in front of her. Even though Roxanne Wolf couldn't eat food or drink anything, she still enjoyed sitting at the table to talk and such. It was a nice change that I never knew we needed.
Plus, my mother was really happy when we told her that Roxanne and I were dating now. My mother prepared a feast to celebrate the news. I will never forget how I reacted when she called Roxanne a 'robot'. I went overboard with that and it was something that I was embarrassed over.
My mother and Roxanne turned their heads in my direction. A smile formed on their faces. I couldn't help but smile as well.
"Good morning," I said.
"Good morning, Mihael," my mother said. I walked over to my old spot at the table. A plate of eggs and bacon awaited me to devour it. I sat down and began to eat.
"How did you sleep?" my mother asked. I looked at her, the smile still on my face.
"I slept like a log," I said. "Haven't woken up in the middle of the night."
What I said was true. I moved back into the family home due to my current house being under construction to have it be big enough for Roxanne and I to live together, which was one of the demands I made for Cress to follow. The plan was for the house to be two-stories tall with a race track in the basement so that Roxanne could do what she loved the most; race driving.
"And knowing you, Roxanne, you stayed up all night watching TV," I said after I swallowed my bite.
The thing about Roxanne was that she didn't sleep. Due to her having an unlimited power supply, she could do what she wanted as long as she didn't do anything stupid while we were sleeping. To top it off, she also had to make sure she kept it quiet and did not make too much noise so as to not wake up my mother and I.
I will never forget the time that Roxanne woke me up in the middle of the night over a video game.
It was about a month after Roxanne and I got together. I was about to head to bed when she asked me if there was anything she could do while I slept. She had grown tired of just watching TV and wanted to do something fun. I came up with the brilliant idea to let her play my GameCube, an old Nintendo console I had when I was a kid. I had it stored in my closet when I got new gaming consoles. I told her about it and she agreed to try it out.
Once I got it set up, I put in a game that I knew damn well that she would love to play in a heartbeat; Mario Kart: Double Dash. It was a racing game Nintendo made solely for the GameCube. I knew she wouldn't be interested in any other game so that was the game for her. The way her eyes lit up once she understood what Mario Kart was about was all the confirmation I needed to know that I made the right choice, or so I thought.
After teaching her how to play and when she felt like she could play it by herself, I went to my bedroom and went to sleep. What I expected was for her to have a good time. What I didn't expect was for me to be woken up in the middle of the night to her screaming in rage. I ran out of my room to see her with my GameCube in her hands. She walked outside and threw it to the ground, shouting 'You are nothing!' at it before walking away, only to return and smash it with her left foot. I had to intervene and carry her back inside before she could do any more damage to my poor game console.
To say I was mad would be an understatement. I. Was. Livid. I made it very clear that she shouldn't do stuff like that and to control herself when she got mad, and if she did, she should turn it off and let herself calm down. Roxanne never did anything like that ever again. The downside was that I had to get a new one. On the bright side, the disc survived the carnage.
"Yes, I did," Roxanne replied with a smile. "Mainly just reruns of 'The Big Bang Theory' or 'Looney Tunes'."
I smiled at that. 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Looney Tunes' were her favorite TV shows. She would watch 'The Three Stooges' and many other old shows, but she preferred those. I couldn't count how many times she has watched those shows. Sometimes, I would catch her watching one of those shows when I woke up and went downstairs to eat breakfast.
"Figured as much," I said. "You've started watching 'Looney Tunes' since I introduced it to you back at my house. You also started watching 'The Big Bang Theory' after I went to bed that night."
"I love watching those shows, Mihael," Roxanne said. "Sheldon is my favorite character in the show. I love how funny and dumb Daffy is. Always falling for the same tricks every time."
"I remember when I introduced 'Looney Tunes' to Mihael," my mother added. "He would be laughing up a storm when something ridiculous happened every time. He would spend hours watching that show. It became a chore to just get him away from the TV so he would sit down and eat or do something around the house. Those were the days. I wouldn't trade them for anything."
I smiled at that. What my mother said was true. I used to be like that when I was a kid. I couldn't help but sit in front of the TV and watch that show all day, becoming a little rascal when I had to get away from the TV. However, as I got older, I stopped doing such a thing and watched the show when I felt like it.
"They were, indeed," I said. "The old days of childhood. Being a saint or being a little rascal. The list can go on depending on the kind of kid you were."
"I can see you as being a little rascal, Mihael," Roxanne said. I looked at her, a smirk plastered on my face.
"I bet you do," I said. Roxanne laughed loudly at that, along with my mother. I rolled my eyes at that before I continued eating. It took a moment for my mother and Roxanne to regain their composure.
"So Mihael, how is everything at the Pizzaplex?" my mother asked. I swallowed before turning my attention to her.
It has been 5 months since I got the job as a security guard for Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, a large entertainment center that was fitted with attractions and all sorts of places to eat. I hated the Pizzaplex with every fiber of my being. However, since I needed a job and my mother forced me to return there after not having gone back for 10 years, I decided to work there so something like the Missing Kids Incident of 2026 - 2028 never happened again.
As for how it has been, everything over there has been pretty much okay for the most part. Its reputation has been affected somewhat after Roxanne's departure. It wasn't anything major, but a lot of the kids do miss seeing Roxanne. Of course, she would come back for special occasions, so it wasn't anything awful or anything.
"It has been okay," I said. "Freddy, Montgomery, and Chica do miss Roxanne a lot. I understand that a lot."
"Yeah," Roxanne said, her face turning sad. "I miss them too. But, the good news is that I still get to see them and have game night over there." Her smile returned. "Especially when I get to see the kids as well."
I nodded, understanding it fully. Gaining permanent legal custody of Roxanne Wolf has been something I couldn't help but think that I made the right choice or not. While Roxanne was happy living here with me, she has expressed homesickness from time to time. I really couldn't blame her for that since the Pizzaplex was something she considered her home for over 12 years. Leaving such a place is not something that should be taken lightly.
However, I knew that if I didn't make that call, the CEO would've scrapped her entirely. That was what made me think the choice I made was right while at the same time, I felt very bad that my girlfriend had to be away from her friends whom she has considered family since she was created.
"I hear you," I said before finishing my breakfast and getting up from my seat. "Well, I better head to work. I can't be late."
Roxanne got up from her seat and walked over to me.
"You have a great day, Mihael," Roxanne said. "I love you."
"I love you too," I said before we kissed each other briefly. I took my plate and silverware to the kitchen and placed them in the sink. I walked over to my mom who was still eating breakfast and gave her a big hug. "Have a good day, Mom. I'll see you when I get back."
"Have a good day, Mihael," my mother said as she hugged back. We stayed that way for a while before we broke the embrace.
I kissed Roxanne on the cheek before I walked over to the front door and grabbed my keys for my truck. I opened the door and left the house, closing the front door behind me. I walked over to the driveway where my truck awaited me.
My truck wasn't a modern truck that many people had. It was an old 1950s Old Classic Chevy that I've had since I was 16 years old. It has been my pride and joy ever since. Aside from Kyle, who had to drive it for a good reason a few months ago, I never allowed anyone to drive my truck. Not even Roxanne was allowed to drive my truck. I forbade it.
I got inside and closed the door. I put the keys in the ignition and turned them. The truck roared loudly to life. As I sat there, I thought about how much my life has changed over the last couple of months. To think something like this would happen was like watching something fictional come to life. If someone told me that I would be dating Roxanne Wolf, I would've told them that they were insane. Out of their mind. Bonkers. Out of your marbles. Having lost your sanity.
However, having it happen to me now was a life-changing experience for me. One I would never trade for anything. We may have had a few bad things happen, like William taking control of her before moving her stuff to my house, fighting William Afton, my mother losing a leg and Kyle losing an eye. Despite that, things were okay as they were.
'Better head to work before I become late,' I thought to myself. I pulled out of the driveway and began the drive to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex to begin another day at work.
Author's Note:
After a long, agonizing wait, the anticipated third book to the Robotic Saga is finally here! :D
I'll be honest, I began working on this thing back in January and wanted to get as many of the chapters done as possible. A good chunk of the chapters are completed, but I will wait for a time before releasing the next one.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter as much as I did writing it. It was a lot of fun and it felt good to pick up the story from where Robotic Love left off. Things will be getting interesting very soon. I promise.
That is all. Keep an eye out for Chapter Two, constructive criticism is appreciated and I will see you guys later! :)
