Chapter 63: The Kingdom's Newest Nemesis (Part 1)
"Are you prepared for this, Kaze?" Blue asked me as we were getting closer to the castle.
"Yes, I am. Infinite's a tough foe, but we can make the impossible possible." I said.
"It's good to have confidence in ourselves. We got each other so we're supposed to be confident." Kris said.
"Even I, as well, am confident." Peach said. "It was all thanks to your motivation. It was really the name of the game for me. Every time I was getting upset or guilty, you were showing me the light time and time again."
"We'll always have your back, no matter what, Peach." Scarlett said. "We just need the motivated Peach that you are as of now."
"Yeah. When we get to Infinite, I can put money on the table that he's no joke." Darius said.
"Dude, make sure not to spoil his info for her." Kris whispered, looking wary of what Darius said.
"I'm not spoiling his info. I'm just– he's lethal." Darius whispered.
"He is. But we can't blurt out some of the things he can do. It's like spoiling a movie to someone."
"Well… I'll be careful with what I say. But even still, Infinite's lethal."
"I don't know if I should be asking this, but what if Infinite's not in the castle? Then what's our next move?" Mimi asked.
By the way, Mimi got off Gemma eventually. She felt her legs were good to go again. So it was a blessing to our ears. But she still needs to drink water.
"*sigh* Then… we'll have to travel dimensions to find him." I said. "We weren't originally planning that, but it's our last resort if we're over an hour from finding him. But we really can't think that! Infinite gave us a whole hour. We only got 10-15 minutes left I believe."
"Let us not hope another trick leads to disaster." Blue said. "If the castle is our final stop, then we should give it our all. That yellow stone and the Mushroom Kingdom needs saving."
"Right. Let's get to it."
I don't know if what I said was an assumption, but I'll have to ask Lunia about it if we fail.
A couple more minutes after making haste, we reached the Mushroom Castle. None of us said anything that time as Peach opened the doors for all of us. We walked inside the castle, scanning the area to see if everything was good.
And… let's just say everything was the opposite of good when I saw something peculiar.
"Wait. I see someone under this table." I said as I was looking at an arm moving under the table, meaning there's someone under there.
"Wait where?" Gemma asked.
"H-Hey, whoever you are, can you come out from under the table, please?" Peach asked the person under the table.
"P-P-P-Princess? I-Is that you?" The person in which sounded like a toad asked.
"Yes. Please come from under there. Is something wrong?"
"Y-Yes, Princess." The toad said as he eventually did what he was told. It was Green Toad that was hiding from under the table.
He looked unharmed, but he felt terrified. Mainly because of an incident that happened prior.
Ok. This might be an indicator that Infinite was here. I should probably hear the toad out first.
"I-It's Cackletta! A-A-And Fawful! Your enemies! They're back! A-Along with this… clown… animal-like creature! He had a mask on! I can't describe it! I think they're looking for you, Princess! You should flee!"
"Do not worry." Peach said. "We'll handle them all. We've encountered them during our search for the stone so we'll defeat them right away."
"B-But I don't think you can handle all three of them on your own." Green Toad said.
"Don't worry, Green Toad." I said. "She's got us. And no matter what it takes, We'll make sure they all surrender."
"That's right. You just stay put." Peach said. "We don't want anything to happen to you. Let us know immediately if there's somebody else."
"O-Ok, Understood. Be careful, Princess." Green Toad said.
"Let's hurry, everyone."
We moved deeper into the castle, going to the same place that we went to where we first met Princess Peach. This was really the moment where, just like Satan and Ecolo, we fight for who OFFICIALLY gets the stone, but it's the other way around with me getting the stone back. I couldn't believe it's like a repeat of last time. Hopefully it won't be the case for our next adventure.
With Peach opening the door to the next room, we entered the room and… the place was a HUGE mess. There were tables flipped, objects smashed, and glass shattered.
All because Infinite is here, standing before us. Alongside Cackletta and Fawful.
And Peach was in awe of what happened to her place.
"W-What The?! What happened here?!" Peach shouted.
"Well, Well. I'm impressed that you were able to get here promptly." Infinite said, sitting casually on her throne.
"Infinite! You told us to meet in the very first location to settle this once and for all! What's your problem?!" I retorted at him.
"And how could you damage most of my property here?!" Peach shouted.
"Ah. That's an apology on my part." Infinite said. That would've never happened if I would've apprehended mortals swiftly instead of being too rowdy and violent."
"Apprehended? Wait what do you… Wait, you mean my Toads?!"
"Who else?! News flash! They're on top of you!" Cackletta asked.
We all looked up to see a cage cell made of energy from that was very high up to reach. It was hard to tell who was really up there. I couldn't even see from there, but Peach knew who it was.
"Toadsworth! Can you hear me?! Are you there?!" Peach asked.
"Princess! I hear you! We're in danger and we need your help!" Toadsworth shouted.
"Yes! These guys are too powerful to beat on our own! We tried defending ourselves but they were too much!" Yellow Toad said.
"I don't know what's gonna happen to us, but you have to help us! Please!" Toadette shouted.
"Don't worry, everyone! I'm gonna save you! Infinite! Release them, and the yellow stone!" Peach shouted.
"Well… since you arrived… I can do one thing." Infinite said. "If you want your friends back, the only way I can make it happen is if you allow us to surrender with the yellow stone. At least, you will vow to never continue your adventure to pursue any more stones."
"Hell nah! You think we'll let you just go along with your malicious plan with that preposterous offer?! You might as well stand down now! You're outnumbered!" Darius yelled.
"Very outnumbered!" Daisy added.
"That's very disappointing." Infinite said. "Even when your friends are desperate for help. What about you, Kaze Matsuzaki? Do you wish to surrender for the sake of helping your friends?"
"I'll have to pass. You already told a trick up your sleeve that made it so easy for me to answer."
"Strong of hearing, I see. To think the brave heroine is bold enough to stop my plan. I pity you. Which mortal should I eliminate first?"
Infinite then teleported to the cage, preparing to take out everyone that was in the cell.
"Princess! Don't let him!" Toadsworth yelled.
"I'm too scared to die!" Yellow Toad yelled.
"Princess, get him, please!" Toadette yelled.
Everyone was trying to get Peach's attention, hoping for their lives to be saved as Infinite was using his source of energy to kill the first person that he saw.
We saw Peach using her energy to attack Infinite, but at that moment…
"Too late for that, Princess!"
ZAP*
"GAH!"
Cackletta saw Peach's guard lowered and attacked her by surprise with her lightning bolt, knocking her back while being electrocuted.
"Peach, no!" Blue shouted as her and Gemma rushed to her aid.
"Score one for team Infinite!" Fawful shouted.
We then saw Kinsley pull out her sword and started charging towards Cackletta. She was about to swing her sword at Cackletta targeting her head at the last minute, but then…
"Oops."
As soon as Cackletta said that, she created a dark hole that sent Kinsley falling inside, not knowing what's going to happen to her.
"NO!" I shouted.
"Just go all out! We have the advantage!" Scarlett yelled.
"Save the advantage for later! Fawful! Assist me this time!" Cackletta shouted.
"I say to you yes!"
SLAM*
As soon as we were about to begin our fight, we then heard someone slam into the ground hard. It was Kinsley who was writhing in pain as we saw cuts and bruises in multiple body parts. We saw her clothes ripped in some areas.
"Kinsley!" Scarlett shouted as she was running over to her.
"Wait a minute! Didn't you say you have the advantage! You can't run from me! I'm your opponent, brat!" Cackletta yelled.
"We still do, you senile freak!" Daisy yelled. "And now, I'm going to make you wish you hadn't said that!"
"Sorry for the long wait. Time to die."
Infinite already grabbed Yellow Toad first as he was on the verge of getting wiped out by Infinite.
"No, please! I had so many friends that I truly love!"
"Yo, Lemme at him!" Darius already got his weapon ready. He was aiming at Infinite. But then at that moment, Cackletta knew what he was doing.
"Don't even try it!" She said.
"Wide open! HAAAAA!" Daisy was now charging at Cackletta, hoping to land a hit on the old beanie…
"CACKLETTA!"
PEW*
"OWIE!"
But at the last minute… Fawful shot dark energy at Daisy, hitting her at the last minute, mainly at the chest area.
BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
"Gah!"
"AHHHHHH!"
Darius was able to get a hit in Infinite, making him drop Yellow Toad in the process.
"I got him!" Kris scrambled over to where Yellow Toad was falling and caught Yellow Toad in the process.
"Are you ok? Are you hurt?"
"I-I'm fine. N-Nothing hurts. Thank you." Yellow Toad said.
"Impressive. But not impressive enough."
As soon as Infinite said that, he teleported to Darius and kicked him in the chest that sent him flying to the wall. Something that I have never seen before.
I've then seen Zack charge up his weapon with his eyes on Infinite. Worried that he might be next, I had to step in at the last minute.
"Wait, Zack! Don't do it! You'll be his next target!" I said to him.
"But, Kaze, he hurt my brother! So now he has to pay the price!" Zack said.
"It's too late for that now!"
"Don't you dare!"
As soon as we all saw Cackletta preparing to perform the same attack as she did to Peach, Scarlett chimed in at the last minute, already having her magic ready.
"You touch my partner and I'll make sure your face is ripped apart." Scarlett retorted in a raspy tone.
"Impudent four-eyes." Cackletta said. I'll make sure your vision is doubled. Fawful, take care of the rest! I'll deal with her!"
"I will leave it to you, Cackletta! It's playtime, fink-rats!" Fawful said as he was coming towards us.
"No way! It's bedtime! For YOU that is! NYAAAAH!" Then it was Mimi who was backing all of us up in the end. Which left me with an idea.
"Take care of Fawful. We'll deal with Infinite!" I said to Zack.
"Are you sure? You don't want me to be of use?" Zack asked.
"We'll take it from here, bro. You help Mimi take down the green bug. Kaze, Candace and I will get this under control." Alexis said.
Zack then nodded his head and went over towards Fawful to attempt to take him out. This now leaves us with me, Candace and Alexis, who mentioned it just seconds ago.
We then saw Darius who was on the ground, badly injured. He was just fine moments ago, but we were distracted by Cackletta's speech. He may be in serious trouble.
"Darius…" Alexis whispered, looking worried.
"We've gotta help him." I said.
We rushed over to Infinite, who was about to hurt Darius even more to the point where was unconscious.
"It's such a waste of valuable time. Having to expose your weakness is just child's play. Expect your fate to be draconian for you." Infinite said to Darius.
"*pant* I… don't know what that means, but… you might wanna watch your six… *pant* if you know what I mean." Darius said, while chuckling.
Infinite then turned around to see the three of us, looking prepared to fight. Pissed off to say the least.
"It's time now, Infinite. Give it up." I said to him.
"So you're still that hungry for a fight?" Infinite said. "Many of your friends have become soft as pillows. This will be just fine without my backup."
"Oh, please. Only you needed those two green ugly scoundrels to do your bidding." Candace said.
"They have served me pretty well except for what has happened thus far. I can still prove that, without them, I am still capable of erasing you completely."
After Infinite said that, he then disappeared out of nowhere with the three of us looking for where he was. Afterwards we then saw these big dark red energy cubes come from above and fall towards us.
"Look out!" I shouted at Candace and Alexis.
We then moved as far as we could to dodge the cubes that were falling down on us.
After we just successfully dodged them, Infinite went for my throat as hard as he could, teleported us to the highest point of the building, and crashed me down on the ground, hurting my neck and back badly. I barely could move because of my badly hurt neck and back.
W-What is… that strength?!
"Candace!" Alexis shouted.
"Right!" Candace shouted.
But then I was able to see Candace and Alexis charge towards Infinite, but he teleported behind them at the last second and shot energy spheres at them hard, knocking them forward.
"Giving up already? But this is just the beginning of something deadly." Infinite said.
"W-We… were just getting started. D-Don't push your luck." I said as I was struggling to get up.
"You're human. Like I said. Do you wish to be exposed more?"
"You can… attempt… to expose me, but the one thing I really am… is a magic user."
"Great story. Let's see if you can prove it to me."
Infinite then went for my back again and elbowed my back as hard as he could, hurting it even more.
"Infinite… I-I… I'm not gonna… let you do– GAH!"
Infinite then interrupted Alexis's statement by firing another energy sphere at her, knocking her back.
"Come on, Kaze. Where is your strength? It's no use having to take that stone from me with you being a weakling." Infinite said.
"Y-You…"
"You don't need them. You need me."
BANG*
"GAH!"
It was Darius that said that. Infinite was shot in the back of the head by Darius's weapon. He was wincing as he felt the impact of the bullet… or a laser. I don't know what's inside of it.
"You thought hitting girls was ok?! Let's see if you can fight a man, punk!" Darius shouted.
Infinite then teleported on top of him and threw a cube like energy sphere at him hard, which stunned him. He grabbed his throat, teleported to the same position I was, and threw him down on the ground, injuring him yet again.
No… Darius!
"There will be no use of seeking assistance. That is for the weak. This is your last chance to show what you're made of." Infinite said.
"Y-You think… I'm just… weak?" I asked, struggling to get up again.
"It's starting to look like it. How about I let you breathe a little so we can finish this?"
Breathe a little?
"Very well."
I used all my power to get back on my feet. I didn't know what had happened to me ever since I easily defeated Cackletta. Infinite is a different type of enemy compared to Cackletta with his stronger attacks. Maybe it was just the fact that I didn't come in well-prepared. Which is something that needs to be corrected.
I then readied my magic as I was getting ready to get something going and actually hit Infinite for once.
"Wait, Kaze!" I then heard Blue come up to me…
"Step aside."
PING*
"Gah!"
Infinite then created a rope with his magic to hook Blue and Gemma, who was with her.
He then swung the rope hard for a few seconds and launched them to the other side of the room. Badly injuring them both.
"Y-You're trying your hardest to test my patience, Infinite!" I yelled at Infinite with anger.
"I need you to show me what you're made of. If you don't, I'll just eliminate all your friends and take the stone with me."
"Of course! I'll be sure to do just that!"
I then created multiple holy swords with my energy and started to fire every single one of them at Infinite. But with his teleportation, he dodged every single of them. And suddenly, he teleported behind me again. I was predicting it was gonna happen and as soon as he started to attack, I dodged out of the way and landed a magical punch that affected him a little.
But suddenly…
"GAAAH!"
He then summoned a cube and threw it at my face, which hurt badly. I covered my face and it was hurting as bad as it was. I felt my nose and mouth bleeding from that.
I was dropped down on the floor again by Infinite as I was still badly hurt. It was everything that was hurting except for my legs and feet.
"What a disappointment. You did hurt me a little. But I expected more from you. Looks like we are victorious."
Infinite said.
"We are done eliminating them, Infinite. Now what's left is killing the rest of these whippersnappers." Cackletta said.
"Looks like you already lost, Purple one. We have already established a terrifying trio."
"We should leave her be. She's not worth killing her." Infinite said.
"Wait, what?! But she's your enemy! We have to eliminate her!" Cackletta yelled.
"No. We have to spare her for now. We can eliminate her friends but not her. I'll give some reasoning later. Just bring me my previous victim."
"You sure are a picky one…"
"Just do what I requested." Infinite said, cutting off Fawful.
"NYAAA! Fine! Let me summon him." Cackletta created a portal that sent Yellow Toad from his current position to Infinite's position.
"W-What are you doing?!" Yellow Toad yelling.
"Get ready for your death. Sorry, but this is business."
As Infinite said that, he summoned his sword to attempt to cut his head right off.
"NO! STOP!" Toadsworth screamed.
"DON'T DO IT!" Blue Toad screamed.
Everybody else who was in the cage was pleading for Infinite to resist from cutting Yellow Toad's head off.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure hell will take good care of you."
And as soon as Infinite winded up his sword…
BOOM*
"GAH!"
There was a light-blue explosion that launched Infinite a couple of yards away from him. There were starry bits on the floor. I don't know who caused that.
"NYAAARGH! I-INFINITE! What's the meaning of this?!" Cackletta yelled.
"I am the meaning of this, to answer your question."
It was a new type of voice as I saw a woman with platinum-blonde hair with hair covering the right side of her eye as I can only see her cyan-colored eye. She is wearing a turquoise gown and silver round high heels. I can even see that she has fingernails that were purple so she's the second person that I saw with colored fingernails with the first being Candace. I also noticed the silver crown on top of her head with two sapphires on the side and a ruby in the front (I couldn't figure out if there was another ruby in the back due to her showing her face). I even saw a yellow star brooch on her gown– it was so many accessories to talk about, but the thing is… she saved Yellow Toad from being slain. Which is a sigh of relief.
"You will let them all go immediately." The woman said.
"And just who are you telling us what to do at a key moment like this, ninny?!" Cackletta shouted.
"I do not wish to give information to villains like you."
"Gah! Fine! You deserve to die then! Fawful! Assist me!"
"I say to you, yes!"
Fawful and Cackletta started to fire attacks from all cylinders, but the lady dodged all of them leaving herself with an open attack.
"What?!" Cackletta shouted.
"Hah!"
WHIP*
The lady then created a star and used it to make it into a rope to tie up Cackletta and Fawful. I've never seen anything like that before. Even though I've seen Infinite try that method.
"There. That will get you to obey me now." The woman said.
"Hey! What's your deal with us?! Do you even know who I am?!" Cackletta shouted, struggling to break free from the rope.
"This rope is strong!" Fawful said, trying to do the same.
"R-Rosalina?!" I then heard Peach from a mile away. She looked shocked.
"Don't worry, Peach. I'm here now." The woman said.
Wait… her name is Rosalina? Is this… another one of Peach's recruits?
Author's Note: I can explain this long hiatus. I wanted to finish this chapter. I really wanted to. But it was freaking college that was delaying things. I'm not dead. I wanted to keep going. I never lost love for this story yet. I'm honestly mad at myself for not making time to write this chapter earlier. But it was college that was so important to me that I needed to spend so much time on it. I'm sorry for taking so long. It was just… so much I had to do, but we got it out the way. I don't have much to say.
Anyway, this is the moment we have waited for. Our second boss battle. Infinite, Cackletta and Fawful. It's not looking so well for Kaze and the crew as they are demolished badly, but… one person came to the rescue at the last moment. I wanted to add Rosalina because why not? I thought she would look good in this story. But can I be honest? This would shock you guys…

I've never played the Super Mario Galaxy series before. Yup. I never did. But I had plans for it. I might get those games and play them. I just have to find the right time to play them all. I really do.
Anyway, this is all I got for now. I'll see if I would do a 2-Part boss battle or a 3-Part boss battle. It depends. But for now, you'll just have to see how the next chapter plays out. If you guys are enjoying this story, make sure to follow/favorite/review, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
