Luke POV
I woke up in a dark void, weird. Usually when I wake up I'm in the black room but now I was just in a void. I looked around to find something, anything but nothing, just an endless black void. I looked down and saw I was in my usual clothes I wore back when I was in the Isle.
Me: What the hell is going on?
?: Confused are we?
My whole body jolted as I began to look around. That voice I know that voice.
Little Demon: Aaah nothing like a black void to start the night am I right?
Me: Where are you!? Show yourself!
Little Demon: Oh come now Luke I am everywhere.
Me: What are you-
Little Demon: Do you really think I would continue to stay quiet in that room while you have all the fun?
I then felt some tentacles wrapped around my leg and arms forcing me down. The black tentacles started to wrap around my whole body making me unable to move. Then I started to hear footsteps as I looked up I saw nothing.
Me: What the-
Little Demon: You are playing with a force you yourself that doesn't understand and eventually…
I then felt a hand on the back of my head. Suddenly his voice became even more demonic.
Little Demon: It will consume you.
Out of nowhere I was brought back in the black room with my suit on as I was panting like crazy.
Little demon: So, enjoyed that.
Me: [looked at the demon] What the hell was that!?
Little demon: That? Well that was just a little glimpse of the future.
Me: What!?
Little Demon: Like I said Luke you think you can keep using my powers without any consequences.
After he said that it began to clink the more I used his powers.
Little Demon: The more you are giving me the opportunity to take your soul.
Me: Why would you-
Little Demon: Tell you this? Because [grins] to protect the ones you love you won't have a choice now will you.
The room around us started to become dark as he slowly approached me.
Little Demon: Can you feel it Luke? Soon and very soon I'll take control.
His form started to change and then… He looked like a blake and white version of me.
Demon Luke: And It will be a massacre.
I ruffly sat up panting and covered in sweat as I looked around and noticed I was back at the owl house. I began to wipe the sweat from my face as I looked at my hand. In a brief instant my hand suddenly turned into a demon hand and back to its own as I stared at it. What's happening to me? Am I finally losing control? How much longer do I have before I'm gone? I then heard Y/N coming upstairs as he walking in the doorway.
Y/N: Hey Luke! We are going to the park, want to come!?
There was a moment of silence until I finally answered him.
Me: Y-Yeah sure whatever.
Y/N: *concerned* Uhh are you ok Luke?
Me: Yea nothing to worry about.
Y/N: Ok? Well we'll be waiting for you downstairs.
He started to leave as I was by myself. I looked down and started to ask one important question.
Me: What is happening to me?
Theme
The portal gate opens, as the camera zooms in on it, Y/N, Luz, and Luke are seen in the sky. They slowly start to open their eyes as they realize they are falling. Both Y/N and Luz panic as Luke just looks down with a bored expression. Suddenly something zoomed past and caught the three friends. Both Y/N and Luz open their eyes, Luz behind Y/N holding on to him tight, while Y/N was holding on to the staff, as they were caught by Eda. Luke was at the bottom of the staff hanging on with just one hand. Eda smirked at the friends and flew to her house with her palisman staff.
The door with Hooty opens to reveal the three friends. Luz had Eda staff as she twirled it around and posed, Y/N, that had Zack's sword on his back, held up a fire fist and smirked while doing a pose, and Luke had his arms crossed as he did a little smirk, as he leaned on the door way. Eda then appeared, taking her staff back, with an amusing grin. Luz then gave a sheepish smile as Y/N put his fire fist away and scratched the back of his head letting out a nervous chuckle. Luke just playfully rolled his eyes as he continued to smirk at his friends' antics. King then gets in front of the camera with a pose.
The scene changes to a three frame slot showing Willow, Gus, and Amity. Willow makes a heart with her hands, Gus holds out his arms in celebration, and Amity just ignores, and turns her back, crossing her arms. It then burns away to reveal King, holding a stuffed rabbit, commanding his army of stuffed animals. Suddenly the stuffed animals started to fall on him as some of them fell onto the camera.
The scene changes again to reveal Luke in a dark void. He then holds the necklace around his neck in his hand as he stares at the picture of him and Sally with a sad expression. Behind him was the Little Demon as he stared at him from the black room with a smile on his face to reveal his sharp teeth. Darkness engulfs the camera as we are shown Y/N surrounded by fire with a sad expression. He was holding a fire fist in his left hand and Zack's sword in his right hand. As Y/N looks at them, the fire takes the form of his father and he sees Zack in the reflection of the sword. The fire around him starts to engulf the camera.
The scene then changes with Luz riding on Eda staff, Y/N with fire wings, and Luke with dark wings. They fly around Bonesborough passing by friends and foes. Luz then picks up Eda and King as Y/N and Luke are flying beside them. Suddenly the ground below them starts to rumble and reveals a giant worm creature that lunges right at them. Everyone, minus Y/N and Luke, screams for dear life as they try to hang on to the staff. Y/N and Luke, nod their heads at each other, as they summon darkness and fire in their hands to attack the creature with a battle cry.
The scene changes to the night sky as it slowly comes down to the owl house. The five friends are standing on top of the house. Luz takes out a little ball of light, Y/N summons a small fireball, and Luke holds up a little shadow ball. The three friends share a smile as they send their balls up into the air. The three balls exploded to reveal the title screen.
The Dragon Slayer of the Boiling Isles
The scene then opens with a playground or more like "The Slayground". There we see a whole bunch of Hexside kids playing on a swing set, a slide, and a sandbox that has tentacles coming out of it. The camera cuts to a sign that says "ALL BLOODTHIRSTY MONSTERS MUST BE LEASHED." We are also shown the owl house crew. Eda, Y/N, and Luz are seated on the bench, King is out playing on the playground with baby dragon by his side and Luke is leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. Eda is laying back and relaxing with her eyes close, Y/N and Luz are watching both King and baby dragon playing but Luz is more worried for the both of them.
Luz: [visibly nervous] What if they get hurt? What if the kids are mean to them? [gasps] My parental instincts are freaking out, man.
Y/N: *chuckles* Luz relax it will be fine.
Eda: Y/N is right Luz. They're going to be fine.
Luz: B-But what if one of the kids hurt them and baby dragon burns everything?
Y/N: *sweats* W-Well uhhh
Luke: I mean Y/N could just eat all of it. [everyone looks at Luke] What he can, right?
Eda: He's not wrong. Besides [gestures to baby dragon and King] look at them.
The scene cuts to King trying to climb the slide with baby dragon watching him by the side of the slide as he barks.
Luz: It does look like their having fun. I wonder what kind of cute little games his playing.
Luke: Maybe the games you two us to play back at home?
This caused both Luz and Y/N to blush as Eda was actually curious.
Eda: Ooohhh what kind of cute games?
Luke: This one game when both Y/N and Luz was pretending to be unconscious and the one that wasn't had to go through a whole lot of obstacles to-
Luz: [runs over and covers Lukes mouth] Help the person! Yes hehe help.
Y/N: [blushes] Yea help.
Eda: [snickers] Right "Help".
Both Y/N and Luz blush as Luke and Eda chuckles. We then cut the camera with King continuing to climb the slide.
King: Stand back, cretins. [grunting as he reaches the top] Yes! Yes! This is a throne worthy of a tyrant. Bow to me you snotty underlings. Bow!
Kids: [looks at each other] Ok!
One kid does a handstand and the other one does a backbend. Baby dragon barks and just bows his head.
King: Second in command! [points his finger] Come to me!
Baby dragon rises and nods his head as he flies up and lands beside King. King rubs baby dragons head as it purrs.
King: Yes together nothing can stop us! [laughs maniacally]
Luke: This is just sad to watch.
Y/N: Oh come on Luke you got to admit it's cute to watch.
Luke: Yea no.
Little Demon: Maybe if blood was added then it would be fun to watch instead.
Luke's eyes widened as he heard ringing in his ears. Luke grabbed his head as he was groaning.
Luke: (What do you want!?)
Little Demon: Just think we can paint the whole playground with their blood.
When Luke looked at the playground he saw all the kids, King and Baby dragon corpses with blood all over the playground. Luke watches with horror, still holding his head, until he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.
Luz: Luke are you ok?
Luke: *shakes his head* Y-Yea just a small headache.
Luz gives Luke a worried look as she looks back out with King and baby dragon.
King: Yes, appease your master.
Baby dragon just barks as he turns around and notices a kid behind them.
Usurper: This isn't for standing, it's for sliding. You try.
Usurper then shoves King down the slide. Instead of sliding though he ends up rolling down and landing on the ground hard. Baby dragon flies down to King and rubs on his head.
Luke: This is just sad.
King: [runs up to the others] Eda! That monster took my throne.
Eda: You mean the baby?
King: No, the usurper. I want you to go over there and blow him up. Kaboom!
Y/N: [sweats] King don't you think thats a little much.
Eda: [unscrews Owlbert from staff] Yeah, I'm not using Owlbert to blow up a five‐year‐old.
King: [groans] Fine [looks at Y/N] Y/N burn him down with your flames!
Y/N: King he's a child. I'm not going to harm an innocent child.
King: Oh come on! [looks at Luke] Luke with your shadows you can scare him to submission! Come on Luke do it!
There was a moment of silence until Luke spoke.
Luke: Fine.
Everyone: Wait what?
Luke: Why not? [raises his arm] A little fear wouldn't hurt.
Eda, Luz, and Y/N were a little nervous about what Luke said while King had his eyes widen with a happy expression.
King: Great! *points* Lets go get-
Luke: Is what you think I'd say. [King looks at Luke confused] Come on King I ain't wasting magic on a little kid.
The three friends let out a sigh of relief from what Luke said.
King: *stomps his feet* Fine! *looks at baby dragon* At least I got you, let's go get him!
Baby dragon: *Bark bark* [sorry King I promised Y/N I wouldn't]
King: Yes let's go!
Y/N: *Raises his hand* Actually King he said he can't cause I told him not to.
King: What!? *growls* insubordination! Traitor!
The group chuckled as King was busy yelling.
Luz: Still cool how you can understand him.
Y/N: [scratches the back of his head] Yea I don't understand it myself but [looks at baby dragon] I just feel this special bond when I'm with him.
Eda: Just like me and Owlbert.
Luke: Speaking of which, where did you get him anyway?
Eda: Get? I made Owlbert from the branch of an ancient tree. [Owlbert hoots] Oh, he's my palisman and we're bonded for life. I'd annihilate anyone who'd hurt him.
Y/N: *chuckles* I feel the same with baby dragon.
King: Fine! None of you help Revenge will taste all the sweeter if they fall by my hand alone. [laughs]
Usurper: [shoves King over] Tag, you're it! [laughs]
King falls on the ground face first as everyone just watches.
Eda: Oh, man. Here we go. King's squeak of rage.
King lets out the most adorable squeals know to man kind. Luz couldn't help but adore King's squeals, Y/N couldn't help but chuckled, and Luke
Luke: *shakes his head* Wow that was enjoyable.
Y/N: Poor King.
As Owlbert started scratching his face when Luz notice something.
Luz: Hey, what's that? [points to Owlbert's foot]
Eda: That's his interlock. So he only fits onto my staff. Every palisman has one.
Suddenly the room around Eda went dark. The only things around her was the staff she was holding and the bench she was sitting on.
Eda: Luz? *looks around* Y/N? Luke?
Luz: [echoing] Eda?
Eda: Luz?
Y/N: [echoing] Eda whats happened?
Eda: Y/N?
Y/N&Luz: EDA!?
Eda: KIDS!
We cut back into the real world to see Eda on the ground with Luz, Y/N, and Owlbert standing above her.
Luz: Eda! Eda! Wake up!
Y/N: Come on Eda please wake up!
Eda then wakes up and looks around to notice she is laying on the bench.
Y/N: Eda! *pulls her up* Are you ok?
Eda: [shudders] What? Oh, no. The curse. Hey, we have to get home. Now!
Luke: Second on that.
Eda: [grabs her staff and looks at Luke] Glad to know you cared.
Luke: Well Sooorry teach I was busy.
Y/N: *concern* Luke, are you sure you're ok?
Luke: [holds his head] Yea I'm fine. Lets just head home.
Eda: Agreed.
Luz: King, baby dragon, we have to go!
Baby dragon starts to run towards Y/N and jumps in his hands. Meanwhile King was staying behind with Usurper.
King: [atop the jungle gym, facing Usurper] Five more minutes, please!
Luke: KING HOME NOW!
This actually spooked Everyone a bit.
King: This isn't over.
Usurper: Okay, let's play again real soon. [hugs King]
King: No, no. Keep those sticky hands away! Oh, no! He's touching me! [screams]
Luke was getting really annoyed by this as he drew a circle. The shadow below him went over to King and dragged him down into it. The shadow returned and dropped King beside the others. Everyone watches this in shock.
Luke: Let's. Go.
That's all Luke said before walking off back home. The others all looked at each other with worried expressions. Eda, they knew what was wrong with her but no one knew what was wrong with Luke or what they could do to help him.
The scene changes to the inside of the owl house with Eda coming in throwing her staff onto the couch as she falls face first into the couch cushions.
Luz: I'll go get your elixir.
Eda: [muffled] Don't worry about it. I'll get it myself in a bit.
Y/N: [Holding baby dragon] Are you sure?
Eda: [muffled] Positive.
Luz: Do you need me to stay home and take care of you? [gasps] I could put King in a little doctor's outfit.
Everyone looks at King as he just makes a little "Meh?" sound.
Eda&Luke: No one wants to see that.
Luz: I do.
Eda: Wouldn't that mean you would wear a nurses outfit?
Luz: Yep.
Y/N then thought of Luz in a nurses outfit.
Nurse Luz: [walks up to Y/N] Need me to take your temperature Y/N?
Y/N just went into a deep blush as he thought about it. Luke notices this and just looks at Y/N.
Luke: Hey Y/N you ok?
Y/N: [breaks out of his thoughts] H-Huh? Oh yea I'm fine.
Zack: Just thinking about some roleplay with his girlfriend.
Y/N: (ZACK!?)
Zack: I wonder would it be better if Amity was wearing one too?
After he said that he suddenly thought of both Luz and Amity in nurses outfits.
Amity: We'll take good care of you, our little sick dragon.
And that was enough to make Y/N nosebleed as he fell backwards.
Luz: Y/N! [runs up to him] Are you ok!?
Y/N: [dazed] Never better Nurse Luz.
Luz: [blushes] Nurse Luz?
Y/N: [Breaks out of his daze] I-I-I mean Luz! I'm fine Luz! *chuckles nervously*
Everyone just stares at Y/N as he continues to chuckle nervously.
Eda: Anyway, I know how to take care of myself. I've had this curse longer than you've been alive.
Luz: How did you get it anyway?
Eda: I don't know.
Kids: You don't know!?
Eda: Somebody gave it to me. I don't know who and I don't care because I'm fine, all right? Anyway, don't you three have plans with Tweedledum and Twerpledee?
Y/N: [gets off the floor] Oh yea!
Luz: [gets up] Well, Willow, Gus, Y/N, Luke and I are going to the Grudgby game between Hexside and Glandus High.
Eda: [screws Owlbert back onto the staff] Since when were you three into sports?
Luz: Since I found a little something called "Hexside Pride." [grunts] To think that Glandus, whoever they are, would dare face us.
Eda looks at Y/N
Y/N: I found out that Zack was once part of the Grudgby team so I wanted to see what's the sport is like.
Eda: [nods his head] Fair point [looks at Luke] And you?
Luke: I was forced.
Eda: That I understand.
Luz: But if you need us to stay we…
Eda: Gross. Sympathy. Go! Go have fun at sport.
Luz: Hooray! Hooray for sport! Hugs and kisses, King. Mwah! [sing-song] Don't spend all night plotting revenge.
King: [sing-song] That drooly‐faced heathen will know my wrath.
Y/N: [rubs baby dragon head] Watch over him and make sure he doesn't do anything dangerous.
Baby Dragon: *bark bark* [Gotcha Gotcha.]
The three friends start making their way out and heads to Hexside. As they were walking to the woods Luke is in front with both Y/N and Luz behind him looking at him with worried expressions.
Luke: Look if you two want to say something just say it.
Luz: W-Well it's just we are worried about you Luke.
Y/N: Yea you've been a lot more moody then usual and a lot more aggressive lately.
Luke: Look I know I've been acting a little weird but I'm fine.
Luz: But-
Luke: [annoyed and yelled] Listen! [both Y/N and Luz flinched] I'm fine lets just drop the subject and go watch the sports game or whatever.
Luke starts walking leaving both Y/N and Luz behind as they both looked at each other with worried expressions.
Luke: I'm fine, I just need-
Little Demon: To kill.
Luke: (No I don't need that.)
Little Demon: But why not? If something is annoying people try to crush it and destroy it so they won't be annoyed by it anymore. They are annoying you with their questions so why not kill them so you don't have to hear their annoying questions anymore.
Luke: *shakes his head* (Because they are my friends.)
Little Demon: Right friends. If you ask me their
Suddenly Luke felt a hand on his shoulder making him turn around and seeing the demon. The problem is he wasn't small he was huge making Luke look in horror.
Little Demon: Nosences that deserve death.
Luke didn't say anything it was as if any words that tried to come out didn't it was as if he lost all words to speak. Unknown to Luke he heard someone yeld his name.
?: Luke watch out!
Luke was then tackled to the ground with the person who knocked him down on top of him. Luke then opens his eyes as he moans and looks down to see Willow on top of him.
Luke: W-Willow what are you-
Willow opens her eyes and notices she was on top of Luke. She quickly gets up off him with a deep blush.
Willow: L-Luke! I-I-I'm sorry! I-I-I saw you running into the Dragon bus!
Luke: [confused] Dragon *looks up and sees it* Buuuuusss?
What Luke saw was a Giant looking boat with 6 feet, with two wings on the side, a tail, and with some kind of dragon head with sharp fangs.
Luke: What the hell? What the hell?
Gus: Yea [runs up to Luke] We saw you walking up towards it and tried to call out to you.
Willow: But you were too much in thought to hear us.
Luke: Oh *scratches the back of his head* Sorry.
Y/N&Luz: Luke!
Everyone turns around and sees both Luz and Y/N running up to them.
Luz: Are you ok!?
Luke was about to answer until Willow said something.
Willow: Where were you two I thought you were with him!?
Both Y/N and Luz flinch a bit and look down.
Y/N: We're sorry Willow he got ahead of us and-
Luz: We lost sight of him.
Willow just sighs as Luke gets up.
Luke: Look I'm fine so lets just forget it and continue on.
Everyone just looks at Luke and nods their heads.
Luke: What took you two so long anyway?
Y/N: *scratches his head* Well Luz was busy thinking of a catchphrase for Hexside.
Luz: I almost have it to. Also
The whole group, minus Luke, were doing poses and screaming "Game day roar". They then looked at Luke waiting for him to do something as well.
Luke: *sighs* [lazily] Yoray Hexside.
The group just smiled knowing full well Luke would say something like that.
Luz: By the way what are we called? Are we Hexidians? Hexies? [gasps] Hexoleos?
Willow: Actually, most people call us... winners.
Gus: Grudgby games are the best. The players go through these action‐packed trials. And the audience gets to wave flags. Look, I practiced. [He pulls out two flags, turns in a circle as he waves them and hums.]
Luke: Aaah sports watching two teams compete while getting upset from some BS to happen to cause your favorite team to lose. [everyone looks at Luke] What?
Luz: [looks at her hoodie] Is it weird that I'm not wearing anything Hexside?
Y/N: I mean me and Luke aren't either.
Willow: I think it's more of a problem that she is wearing [points to a flag] Glandus colors.
The group then looks at the flag to see a giant green monster wearing a shirt that says "Hexside" vs a red monster with a shirt that says "Glandus".
Giant: Get ready to be creamed, Glandus nerd.
Luz: Hey! I'm a Hexside nerd.
Luke: Great comeback Luz/
Luz: Gotta change out of this shirt. Where can I get a Hexside one?
Gus: I know. There's a lost and found box in the cafeteria.
Luz: Ah! The lost and found. Where mouthguards go to retire.
Luke: Taking something that someone once used just asking for some kind of disease. [gets elbowed by Willow] Hey!
Y/N: We'll be here waiting for you.
Luz nods her head and goes inside to change. She eventually makes it to the "Lost & Found" where there were objects all around a giant chest. Luz opens the chest and diggers around and finds a hat the says "HEXSIDE"
Luz: Yes!
Back outside the others are waiting for Luz. Y/N is pacing back and forth, Gus was waving his flags around, Luke was leaning on one of the pedicles with his arms crossed, and Willow was beside him waiting. Eventually they hear the doors open to reveal Luz wearing a blue and yellow skirt with a blue and single stripe hoodie. She was also holding a blue pum-pums in her left hand and a yellow one in her right hand and she had a drinking hat with blue and yellow flags at the end of them.
Luz: Goooo, Hexside!
Luz jumped into the air and landed on the ground doing the splits. Problem is when she did it a loud crack was heard that made everyone flinch.
Luke: So I'm not the only one that heard bones right?
Everyone shakes their heads as they heard it too.
Luz: Well, I never did that before.
Y/N: [walks up and helps Luz up] Hehe be more careful Luz.
Luz: Yea your right thanks Y/N. [looks at Y/N] Sooo what do you think?
Luz does a little spin and shakes her pum-pums in the air. Y/N was too busy being in a dazy as he was watching Luz. It reminded him back at home when she was try-out for the cheerleading team.
Zack: [nudges Y/N] Come on say something.
Y/N: [breaks out of his daze] Oh well *scratches his cheek and blushes* I think that outfit looks great on you Luz.
Luz: *blushes* Really [Y/N nods his head] Thanks. Umm did you also like the one I wore back at home?
Y/N: *blushes* Y-Yea I think you look beautiful in it.
This made Luz go full red as she looked down the whole time.
Luz: T-Thanks Y/N.
Y/N: [looks down blushing] No problem.
Luke and the others watch this from afar.
Gus: [confused] What is happening?
Luke: A question I've been asking myself for years, Gus.
Willow: I think it's sweet.
Luke: Wouldn't be saying that if it kept happening over and over again.
Little Demon: Annoying right. Why don't we [smiles] end it for good?
Luke gripped his head as he grunted. Willow notice this and approached him.
Willow: Luke are you ok?
Luke: *grunts* I'm fine.
Willow just looks at Luke with concerned before they heard Luz's voice.
Luz: Hey wait a minute [looks around] Where is everyone!?
They all hear a noise causing them to look up and see the bus flying away with the same giant that pocked Luz hanging from a banner
Giant: Hexside Rules!
Luz: Oh, no! Come back! Why didn't you guys board the bus?
Y/N: We made a promise to wait for you and we are sticking to it.
This made Luz blush a bit as she looked away nervously.
Willow: Y/N is right Luz we weren't going to leave you behind.
Gus: I was.
Both Luke and Willow elbow Gus as he yelps.
Luz: Can we walk to Glandus?
Willow: We'd never make it in time. Glandus is... [rolls his flags, points with them] all the way out in the middle of the island.
Y/N: Well what other options do we have?
Willow: I don't know. If only my parents weren't working, otherwise I'd see if they could give us a ride on their staff.
Luz: A staff... because staffs fly.
Luke: Luz please no.
Luz: Come on Luke it will be fine.
Luke: If I had a dollar every time I heard that one before.
Luz: Anyway I can get us a staff.
Gus: You can?
Luz: *smiles and nods* Yep, come on.
Luz grabs Y/N arm and runs. Gus leaps after them. Willow was going to go but she saw Luke with his hand over his head.
Willow: *worried* Luke, are you sure you're ok?
Luke: Willow listen I'm fine let's just go alright. That way it can all fall apart and we miraculously find a way to fix it.
Luke starts following the others with Willow looking at him worried. She then starts slowly walking after the others.
Willow: (What's happening to you Luke?)
The scene then changes with baby dragon and King walking upstairs and heading into Eda's room.
King: Eda! Great news. I thought of the perfect way to get revenge on that usurper. [holds out a piece of paper reading "FIRE?"] Now before you ask, no I'm not going to use baby dragon to help since [looks at baby dragon] Someone won't do it.
Baby dragon: *bark bark* [I promise Y/N I wouldn't]
King: Anyway I'll break it down for you in small pieces. Huh?
Both King and Baby dragon sees Eda in her owl beast form but it seems like that it wasn't complete since one of her eyes still had that same gold shine. The owl beast notices the two and starts to slowly make its way towards them while growling.
King: [screams, falls down] Owl Beast!
Baby dragon steps in front of King and growls at the owl beast as it does the same. The two were both growling, waiting for one of them to make a move. Soon Eda raised her hand and was about to attack baby dragon until.
King: Stay back!
Eda then stops and drops her claw and slowly starts to back up confusing King and baby dragon.
King: Did you just listen to me? [stands up] Uh, come here. [Eda walks up to King] Sit. Oh, this is an interesting development. Eda's only partially transformed which means she's totally suggestible. [chuckles] Yes. Yes! I think this will do nicely. Forget fire. I've got a greater force to unleash. You! You're going to help me regain my throne. I mean, if that's okay with you. Right?
Both Eda and Baby dragon give King a growl.
King: I'll take that weird grumble as a yes. I'm just gonna grab a little bottle of elixir in case you go rogue on me.
He grabs a full bottle of elixir and a messenger bag. Several empty bottles fall out of the bag as he drags it. Baby Dragon walks over and sees it and looks at Eda worried.
King: Now, to destiny's battlefield: the playground!
Luz: [downstairs] King, are you home?
King: What? [to Eda] Sit. Stay.
King and Baby dragon runs outside as King closes the door behind him.
Luz: Is Eda up?
King: Who? Oh. [chuckles] That Eda. No, no. She is out like a light.
They then hear growling coming from inside as baby dragon starts walking up and rubbing in Luz and then the door.
Luz: Hey what's wrong boy?
King: Oh you know baby dragon just really misses you.
Baby dragon gives King an "are you serious" look.
Luz: Aww I missed you two little guy [rubs baby dragons head] Well anyway I wanted to ask if I can borrower her staff buy since she's asleep I guess-
King: [grabs Eda's staff and gives it to Luz] Oh, I'm sure it's fine. It's fine. Just take it.
Luz: I can't. Not without Eda's permission.
A scream was heard in Eda's room.
King: Well, there's your permission. Off you go.
Luz: I really owe Gus and Willow one. And it's just for the afternoon.
Baby Dragon starts to whimper as he starts to climb on Luz's leg a little.
Luz: Aww don't worry baby dragon I'll be careful and be back soon. [rubs baby dragons head] I'm sure Eda won't mind.
King: Not our generous, kindhearted Eda. Big heart on her.
Luz: [starts to leave] I'll be back soon.
King: Close call. [sees baby dragon glaring at him] What?
Baby dragon: *bark bark* [This is a horrible idea]
King: Oh I get it you're jealous that I found someone better to help me with my revenge.
Baby dragon: *bark bark* [What no it's not like that]
King: Oh "bark bark" somewhere else I found my new second in command now scram I don't need you anymore. I have my new second in command.
King walks inside and slams the door behind him leaving baby dragon by himself as he looks down in sadness and starts walking away.
Back outside The owl house.
Everyone was outside waiting for Luz. Y/N and Luke were beside each other talking.
Luke: I have a horrible feeling about this.
Y/N: Aww come on it will be fine besides if something does happen we can just bust in and save the day.
Luke: Yea about that, don't you think she needs to clean up her own mess sometimes?
Y/N: [confused] What do you mean?
Luke: I mean I think there are times we aren't going to be there and for that she needs to know when to do things on her own.
Y/N was going to respond until he thought about it. There will be times when he is not there for Luz so maybe she needs to do things on her own. Just then the front door opens revealing Luz holding Eda's staff.
Luz: To Glandous high. [She gestures with the staff, hitting Owlbert against the house.] Oops sorry Owlbert.
Luke: Geez Luz.
Luz: We're just on our way to help some friends.
Both Willow and Gus stare with amazement.
Luke: So we are really doing this?
Luz: Yep! So [gets on the staff] Who is ready to board air Luz?
Luke facepalms while Y/N just chuckles. Both Gus and Willow hopped on the staff excited.
Willow: Feel that power-to-weight ratio. [realized] Wait, what about [looks at Y/N and Luke] you two?
Y/N: *smiles* Don't worry [summons flame wings] I got my own ride.
Both Willow and Gus looked at Y/N with amazement.
Luz: (Maybe I should have asked Y/N to carry us.)
Willow: What about you Luke?
Luke: I-
Luke gets cut off by a headache. He holds his head with his right hand. This made everybody worried about him.
Gus: Hey Luke are you-
Luke: I-I'm fine. [looks at Y/N] I'll catch a ride with Y/N.
Y/N: Uhhh Ok?
Willow: But-
Luke: We are going to be late, let's hurry up.
Everyone just nodded their heads but was still worried about Luke.
Luz: Next stop, Glandus High. Let's go.
Owlbert slowly starts to levitate Luz, Willow and Gus off the ground. Luke then climbed on Y/N's back as they slowly started to levitate as well.
Luz: Step on it Owlbert!
Luz slaps the staff causing the three friends to fly crazy around the air. Both Y/N and Luke just watched.
Y/N: [Sweatdrop] Oh boy.
Luke: [facepalms] Idiots.
Y/N starts to fly towards the direction of the others. He then sees them running into a whole bunch of trees until they hit one more that causes all of them to fall off the staff. Willow and Gus lands on bushes while Luz's hoodie gets stuck in a tree branch. Soon Luz gets out of the hoodie causing her to land on the ground. Y/N then sees Owlbert land head first on the ground. Y/N and Luke flies down. Luke gets off Y/N, as Y/N ran up to the others.
Y/N: Everyone ok?
Gus: *groans* Somewhat.
Luz: *rubs her head* I've been better.
Luke: [walks up to Willow] *holds out his hand* You ok?
Willow: [looks up] *takes his hand* Yea Luke I'm fine.
Luke helps Willow up but suddenly he sees blood all over his hand and body. He pulls his hand away from Willow as he starts to breath heavily. Willow was about to ask what's wrong until they heard Owlbert hooting. They turn and see Owlbert unscrewing himself from the staff and starts to fly off.
Y/N: Owlbert wait! [runs after him]
Luz: Owlbert, come back! [picks up the staff and runs after him]
Gus: Guys wait up! [runs after them]
Willow: Come on Luke! [runs]
Luke was about to run until his head started to hurt again and his ears started ringing. Suddenly everything around him started to go dark.
Little Demon: Poor owl. Welp they're gone, let's have some fun.
Luke: I'm not letting you-
Little Demon: Aww don't be like that. Owl lady lost her staff, friends are gone, sounds like the perfect opportunity to let loose.
Suddenly everything around him went from dark to red. Luke looked down and saw hundreds of dead bodies all over the ground. He then looked down at his hands and saw them covered in blood. Luke started to pant heavily as he held his mouth terrified for his life.
Little Demon: Let's make this dream into a reality.
Luke: N-N-No. No!
Little Demon: Let's end this world.
Luke: No!
Little Demon: Let's-
Willow: Luke?
Suddenly everything around Luke went back to normal as if it never happened. Luke looked up and saw Willow looked down at him.
Willow: *worried* What happened?
Luke: [looks down at his hands and squeezes them] Nothing lets go.
Luke begins to run off to catch up to everyone while Willow looks back at him.
Willow: Luke, What's wrong with you?
Luke and Willow finally catch up to the others and see them outside of some trees
Luke: What's going on?
Y/N: We saw Owlber went into those trees.
Luke: Why didn't you all go in?
Luz: Well we notice you didn't come so we waited-
Luke: And possibly let Owlbery get eaten or worse!
This made everyone flinch for a bit. Luke realized how loud he was and slowly started to calm down by grabbing his head.
Luke: Lets just go get him back.
Luke started to walk inside the forest but his arm was grabbed by Willow.
Willow: Wait! We have to be careful. It's really easy to get lost in this part of the forest.
Luke: Well do any of you want to tell the owl lady we lost her palisman. [silence] I thought so *pulls his arm away from Willow* Let's go.
Everyone watches Luke walk on ahead with worried looks. They all eventually started following Luke to find Owlbert. As they were walking they looked around and saw webs everywhere. As they were walking they heard crunching sounds.
Willow: Wow. I keep stepping on a lot of crunchy twigs.
Luke: Those are bones Willow.
Willow: [looks up] Not if I don't look down.
Little Demon: Or if it's your bones instead.
Luke started to groan as he gripped his head. The group was about to say something until they were cut off by a random shadow passing by them. Everyone, but Luke, yelped.
Luz: This isn't any kind of forest I'm used to. [pokes a spiderweb with the staff]
Willow: That's because this isn't a forest.
The group looks down and see three bat babies walking up to them.
Willow: It's a nest.
Luke: Oh don't tell me this is bat queens nest isn't?
Gus: [panics] Bat Queen!?
Willow: I think I'd rather take my chances with Eda.
Luz: [walks up to the babies] Uh, we're looking for a little owl and... There he is.
Y/N: [looks at Owlbert] Hey Owlbert!
Owlbert slowly starts to back up as he hoots nervously.
Luz: Come here, buddy. Time to come home.
Luke: Somethings coming.
Everyone looked at Luke confused until a giant foot came in front of Owlbert. The group looks up and sees the figure exit from out of the shadows to reveal the bat queen. The bat queen slowly approached the group of friends as they watched her in shock.
Bat queen: Hello, [looks at Luz] Small human, [looks at Y/N] Dragneel, [looks at Luke] and half demon.
Everyone: [looks at Luke] Half Demon?
Luke just gives the bat queen a glare as he holds his head. The two glared at each other for a bit until Y/N decided to say something.
Y/N: Uhh excuse me Ms. Bat queen ma'am. [bat queen looks at Y/N] Hi umm names Y/N Dragneel-
Bat Queen: I know. Son of Igneel Dragneel.
Y/N: Oh umm I see.
Luz: *places a hand on Y/N shoulder* Let me try. Hiya, BQ. My, your hair is looking greasy. And your kids [chuckles] they're as hideous as ever.
Gus: That could have gone worse.
Luke: You have no idea.
Luz: [chuckles] So... Owlbert ran away and I need to get him back. I'm just gonna grab him and we'll be on our way.
Before Luz could approach Owlbert, Bat Queen blocked her path with her claw startling Luz.
Y/N: Hey!
Bat Queen: To be careless with a staff, it's very serious. I protect him
Y/N: *moves bat queens claw off Luz* And we appreciate that but Owlbert belongs to Eda.
Luke: And if you remember you owe her one.
Bat Queen: Owl Lady is careless. Her staff left her sight. Taken by human who steals, hurts, frightens…
Luz, Luke&Y/N: What?
Bat Queen: He told me all!
Suddenly Bat queens and Owlberts eyes begin to glow a golden color.
Luke: Is that how they communicate?
Luz: Owlbert, I never meant to hurt you. [kneels down] Please trust me.
Y/N: Yea [kneels down] come back to us buddy.
Owlbert flies onto Bat queen's head and both his and her eyes begin to glow again.
Bat Queen: Trust must be earned... [flies to a perch] ...through trials! [Fire bursts from the ground with the final word.]
Gus: [happily, waving flags] Trials?
Luke: *glares at Gus* Really?
Willow: Luz, the Bat Queen is well‐known for her impossible trials. I've never heard of anyone winning against her.
Luz: But I have to get Owlbert back. I acc-
Luke: Enough!
This made everyone but Bat Queen flinch.
Luke: I've had enough of this nonsense! [walks up to Bat Queen] You have no right to hold someone else's palismen! And I'm through sitting by and letting this play out! So hand over Owlbert or
Luke's whole right arm turned all black as his hand turned into a claw. Luke lifted his hand at Bat Queen as a shadow ball slowly started to form. Luke's right eye begins to change into a red eye as a black slit.
Luke: I will kill you.
Those words came out cold and murderous. No emotion. Everyone minus Black Queen was scared and shocked of Luke.
Bat Queen: I see you struggle with the black blood inside of you.
Luke continued to glare at Bat Queen, as he was still holding the shadow ball up.
Bat Queen: [raises her claw to a cave] If you wish to learn, child go there.
Luke looks at the cave and makes the shadow ball disappear. He lowers his hand as the darkness around his arms disappears as well. Luke starts walking towards the cave.
Willow: Luke wait-
Willow was cut off by webs that trapped not only her but Y/N and Gus as well.
Gus: Hey!
Luz: Guys! [looks at bat queen] What are you doing!?
Bat Queen: No helpsis. You must conquer the trails alone.
Luz looks back at the others as they try to get out, well everyone except for Y/N. Y/N just gives Luz a look that says you can do it. Luz nods her head with a new determined look.
Luz: Alright I accept!
Bat Queen: First trial: Milk the spider demon.
Y/N&Luz: Spider what now?
Out of nowhere, something that was a combination of a spider and a cow came into view. Though it was more spider than cow.
Y/N: (I have no words.)
A buck appeared into Luz's hands as she looked at it and then at the Spider demon. She looks at the Spider demon with an uneasy look, but she then looks at Owlbert that gives her a sad look. Luz then turns back to the spider with a new wave of confidence.
Luz: (For Owlbert!) All right. Come here, pal. Let's do this.
The spider then jumps over Luz and starts running away.
Luz: If you run you'll just make this harder for yourself.
The others watch as Luz struggles to get the milk from the spider demon.
Gus: Go Luz you got this!
As Gus was cheering, Y/N noticed that Willow was staring at the cave Luke went into. Seeing the Bat Queen was distracted, Y/N turns his head and spits out some fire from his mouth that causes Willow's webs to burn away.
Y/N: [faces forward] *whispers* Go to him.
Willow nods her head as she slowly sneaks away and goes into the cave to help Luke.
Gus: Y/N why not free us to?
Y/N stays quiet as he just watches Luz milk the spider demon.
Gus: [confused] uh Y/N?
Luke POV
Damn that Bat queen, what does she mean learn more!? The last of my kind has been killed a long time ago. Damn that woman who does she think she is, I should have Killed her when I…
I gripped my head. No, don't think like that. I'm not like that I'm, I'm, what am I?
Eventually I made it to a clearing similar to the one when we first came in, the difference is there was a statue of a person there. As I slowly started to approach it I suddenly got another headache.
Me: *grips my head* Ahhh! What the hell!?
This one was different though it was like I was in bigger pain than usual. Suddenly images started to play in my head. There were a bunch of people surrounding a demon as he bared his fangs at them. Another image played as the people around the demon started to impale him causing him to scream in pain. Another image, this one showed the demon above some of their dead corpses as he was holding one of them in his hand. One of those people was watching with tears in their eyes looking at the demon with hate. Both of them glared down at each other and shouted these words.
?&?: I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!
My head was pounding like crazy as I fell on the ground, with both my hands on the ground as I panted heavily.
Me: W-What *pants* the hell *pant* was that?
?: Luke!
I heard someone call my name as I turned around and saw Willow standing at the entrance as she was breathing heavily. I slowly started to get up facing away from her.
Me: You shouldn't be here Willow. Go back and help the others.
Willow: Luke. Why?
Me: Why what?
Willow: What's wrong with you? Why are you pushing us away!?
I stayed silent.
Willow: This isn't like you Luke. There is something wrong with you I can feel it *starts walking up to me* Please just let us-
Me: [irritated] Why should I tell you anything!?
Willow: Luke please I want to help-
Me: Help me!? HELP ME!? THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO HELP!
Willow: NOT IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG! [tears start to form] IF YOU EXPLAIN THEN I-
Me: [turns around with my eyes red] AND THEN WHAT!?
This caused Willow to flinch. I didn't realize it but I felt the darkness started to surround my body.
Me: YOU THINK IF I JUST TELL YOU, YOU WILL MAGICALLY FIX IT WITH NO PROBLEM!? THIS IS MY PROBLEM WILLOW NOT YOURS OR ANYONE ELSE'S! SO STOP TRYING TO HELP ME OR I'LL!
The next words that escaped from my lips was something I thought I would every say to my comrades.
Me: I'LL KILL YOU!
There was silence as I was breathing heavily. I then realized what I said as I looked down and saw the darkness that was around my body. Not only that I then rubbed my mouth and saw that some of the black blood escaped as well. I then looked up at Willow who had a look of horror on her face.
Me: W-Willow I-
?: Black blood.
My eyes widened when I heard that voice. I turned around and saw that the statue began to shake and slowly started to crack. The crack started to spread around its whole buddy. Eventually the cracking stopped for a moment until all the dried up black blood that surrounded the person burst causing me to be sent flying to a nearby wall. I slid down and landed on the ground. I slowly started to look up and saw a person wearing, a dark armour with a red ponytail. Slowly the figure lifted it's arm and a blue spear appeared in it's hand. The figure turned towards me and it's right eye began to shine as it pointed it's spear towards me.
?: Your time has come Black blood demon.
I slowly started to get up.
Me: Who are you?
?: Who I am matters not. Just know I, the last demon slayer, will strike you down.
Me: [cracks my neck] Bring it on.
3RD POV
Back with the others Luz was busy trying to fight off the Bees, Gus was busy trying to free himself from the webs… and he succeeded.
Gus: I am free! Bat Queen, you will rue the day you tried to trap‐‐ [Bat Queen closes her claw trapping Gus on the ceiling] Ahhh [looks at Y/N] Y/N come on a little help!?
Y/N just continues to watch Luz as she is fighting off the spiders. But he then turns his head at the cave Willow and Luke went into.
Y/N: (Not only do I feel another strong magic energy in there, but there seems to be a problem with Lukes.)
Zack: You noticed it huh?
Y/N: (For a while actually. There are times when it spikes, then it plummets, then spikes again. However one thing never changes. Murderous intent.)
Zack: Yea do you think-
Y/N: (No I trust Luke. And even if I'm wrong. I know Willow can help him.)
Zack: But what if he kills her?
Y/N stayed silent as he went back to watching Luz fight off the bees. Bat Queen looked at the cave.
Bat Queen: (So you are finally free? This trail isn't only for the young half demon but for you as well old friend.)
Back with Luke.
Luke is seen getting thrown into a wall as he falls on the ground hard. He slowly starts to get up groaning in pain.
Demon Slayer: Don't tell me that's all you got?
Luke: [spits up blood] Shut it.
Luke then charges at the Demon slayer as he falls into his shadow leaving the slayer's view. It then starts to get quiet as the demon slayer stays in the same spot holding their spear. Soon the demon slayer spines their spear around as they stab the ground. Luke grunts as he is lifted from his shadow with the spear digging in his left shoulder as blood starts to leak out.
Demon Slayer: Predictable.
The Demon Slayer removes the spear and then winds up their fist as they punch Luke in the face sending him flying on the ground.
Willow: LUKE!
Luke ends up crashing into a wall as he is seen panting like crazy.
Luke: D-Damn it!
Demon Slayer: Is that really all you got?
Luke: [slowly get up] Shut *pants* up.
Demon Slayer: …. What are you afraid of?
There was a moment of silence.
Demon Slayer: I can tell fear is holding your true power back. So tell me what are you afri-
Luke: [irritated] I said shut u-
Luke was then stabbed in the leg by a spear. Luke looks down to see a spell circle that was behind his left leg. Just then multiple spears started to impel Luke all over his body as he coughed up blood falling down on his knees.
Willow: *tears in her eyes* LUKE!
Willow tried running to Luke but was trapped in a cage of spears.
Demon Slayer: Stay out of this little witch girl.
The Demon slayer started to approach Luke.
Demon Slayer: I've killed demons from different shapes and sizes. But I've never killed one that was so scared of its own power, that was so pathetic, he would just give up and die. How sad. [lifts up the spear] Now I will finally put an end to this black blood curse *eyes glow blue* Disappear for good.
As the Demon Slayer drives their spear down to Luke, time starts to slow down.
Luke: (So this is it huh?... This is how I die?... Damn….. Why here?... Why now?... If only I was stronger.. If only I was better.. I need power.)
Little Demon: Then stop holding back.
Luke looks to the side, from the corner of his eye, and sees the demon slowly approaching him.
Little Demon: Kill or be Killed is how the world works Luke. And right now a choice is in front of you: do you want to be killed or be the killer. The choice is yours.
All Luke did was turn back around, close his eyes. The demon started to grow bigger holding Lukes head with both his hands.
Luke: (Heh. Either way…)
The demon covers Luke's eyes smiling as the screen goes black.
Luke: (I lose.)
Suddenly a giant wave of magic causes everything to shake. Darkness starts to surround Luke as it pushes the demon slayer back making them slide on the ground. The slayer looks up and sees dark magic surrounding Luke. Willow had to cover her eyes as the power was blinding her. As the Demon Hunter just watches.
Back with the others
Luz was busy trying to give the babies a bath as one of them was biting her and the two were squirming around.
Gus: Luz! Cut us free so we can help you! Or better yet get Eda!
Luz: No, I was Selfish.
Y/N: Luz.
Luz: and I hurt Owlbert. I need to do this alone so he knows I care about-
As Luz was trying to finish her sentence and dump water on the baby's head, a wave of energy knocked the water out of her hands as it spilled on her and the babies.
Luz: Well that worked [looks around] What was that?
Y/N and Bat Queen look at the cave.
Bat Queen: (So he has come out.)
Y/N: [worried] (Luke.)
Back with Luke
Soon the darkness started to calm down as it started to reveal Luke.
Willow: L-Luke?
Luke's whole body was covered in darkness. Claws coming out of his hand and feet. His teeth had fangs and horns coming out of his head. The same appearance he had back when the boiling rain.
Demon Slayer: No not anymore. [Slowly approaches him] So this is your true power huh? Not Human nor a demon. [spins her spear and holds it with two hands] Just a brat who doesn't understand what power he poses.
Luke growls at the demon slayer then roars.
Demon Slayer: Guessing you can't understand what I'm saying?
Luke then charges at the Demon Slayer as he goes for a high punch but the Demon Slayer blocks the attack and spins their spear causing Luke to fall on the ground as he lands on all four. Luke then turns around and tries to claw the Slayer but the slayer grabs his hand and flings him. Luke then continues to land a hit but continues to miss.
After the demon slayer disappears again Luke lands on the ground and then gets impaled by the Demon slayer's spear. Luke coughs up black blood as he looks down at the spear.
Demon Slayer: You have gotten faster but that won't - !
Luke then pulls the spear out of his chest as he crushes it in his hands. The wound begins to heal as Luke looks at the slayer growling his teeth.
Demon Slayer: High speed regeneration.
Luke then draws to circles and slam it in the ground multiple circles appear behind him. Luke then slams his hands down as multiple shadow balls attack the slayer. The slayer looks ahead and runs towards it dodging and parrying some of slayer then gets in front of Luke and tries to stab him but Luke disappears in his shadow. The slayer looks around to find him but feels his magic all around them.
Demon Slayer: I see spreading your magic around. Well then in that case.
The slayer draws a circle and drives their spear into it causing a bunch of spears to spout from the ground. One of the spears had impaled Luke, leaving him in the air. The slayer then jumps and runs up the spear wall as they leap in the air, higher than Luke, and begins to fall down and goes to stab Luke through his head. Luke, who was impaled through the stomach, looks up at the slayer, smiles, and mouths.
Luke: Bye Bye.
A giant explosion causes the whole ceiling above to be destroyed causing dust to spread everywhere. Soon the dust starts to settle as Willow slowly removes her hands away from her face to see Luke laughing with his stab wound healed. Luke then notices Willow with a smile on his face. Luke then slowly started to approach Willow. Willow starts to become scared but still tries to stand her ground.
Willow: *shaking* L-Luke I-I know you're in there. P-Please snap out of it.
Luke was still walking up to Willow with a smirk on his face. Willow, who was scared out of her life, had only one other option.
Willow: Little flower.
Luke stopped walking but was still smiling.
Willow: *tears falling* You never called me your Little flower.
Luke just stared at Willow and then looked down at the ground and started to remember that name.
Luke: Little…. Flower.
Willow: [smiles with tears] Luke yes it's me!
Before anything else was said Luke was then impaled through the gut and slammed down on the ground creating a crater. The Demon Slayer then grabs Luke's arms and put his hands together as they stabbed them together then stabbed his legs and back to keep him from moving. Luke yelled out in pain.
Willow: LUKE NO!
Demon Slayer: I'll admit if I hadn't created a barrier around me I definitely would have lost an arm or worse.
Luke was trying to squirm around but was unable to since he was immobilized. Willow was watching in horror and had enough.
Willow: Stop! Please, you're hurting him!
Demon Slayer: It. Hurting it. Whatever "he" was is gone. Now it's an It now.
Willow: That's not true he's still in there somewhere.
Demon Slayer: And soon he'll be somewhere else.
The demon slayer then lifted their spear and was about to stab Luke through the head.
Willow: [eyes widen] No please.
Demon Slayer: Die. Black Blood Demon.
Willow: Stop.
The demon Slayer brings down their spear with great speed ready to kill Luke.
Willow: [eyes go full green] I SAID STOP!
Suddenly vines started to spread around Willow destroy the cage she was in as it headed towards the Demon slayer. The demon slayer turns their head and immediately jumps back, but was caught by another vine that appeared below. The vine wrapped around the demon slayer and threw them down on the ground still around them.
Demon Slayer: *grunts* This power! *grunts*
Willow uses her vines to bring herself towards Luke.
Willow: Luke.
Luke just lets out a low growl as he was in pain.
Willow: Don't worry I'll help you.
Demon Slayer: You fool! [Willow looks at the slayer] If you free him he'll kill you!
Willow ignores the Slayer and uses her vines to free Luke from the spears. Luke then gets up slowly and gives Willow a death glare. But all Willow did was give him a caring smile. [eyes are still green].
Willow: Hey it's ok [grabs his face with both her hands] remember [rubs her forehead on his] I'm your little flower.
Luke just stares at Willow until he mutters.
Luke: Little… Flower…
Soon the darkness around Luke started to disappear until he was back to normal with his clothes turn up. Luke then falls on Willow as she hold him.
Willow: I'm here Luke. [Hugs him tight] I won't leave you.
Demon Slayer: (But how?)
Back at the Owl House
Baby dragon is seen laying down on the couch, curled up in a ball, sadly. Hooty approached the poor dragon.
Hooty: Aww don't worry baby dragon I'm sure he didn't mean it. He's just lost for power, that's all, happens to the best of us.
Baby dragon just lets out a sad chirp. Hooty looks down at him with a sad look decide to give the poor baby some space.
Hooty: *sad* I'll come back to check on you later.
Hooty leaves the baby dragon as it slowly starts to drift to sleep.
King: Oh "bark bark" somewhere else I found my new second in command now scram I don't need you anymore. I have my new second in command.
The words "anymore" echo over and over again until something else is heard. Shatter images of something in chains growling and screaming. Another image of it breathing fire. Another of it with tears falling from its eyes. And finally a random person staring at the chain dragon and undering the same words King said to him.
?: I don't need you anymore.
Soon the figure to shape to Y/N as he dropped baby dragon on the ground and started walking away from him baby dragon tried running to Y/N but the more he ran the further Y/N got. Soon Y/N turned around and said.
Y/N: I don't need you anymore.
The ground around baby dragon broke as he fell and screamed.
In the real word baby dragon was shaking as tears were falling from his eyes.
Baby Dragon: *sad bark bark* [Don't leave me.]
Hooty was letting out so many tears. He then looked forward and waited to have a few words with King.
Back with Luz
We cut back with another one of the fires that went out. Meanwhile Gus finally cut himself free again.
Gus: Yes, I am free again. I-
Until he gets trapped again by more webs. Gus lets out a muffled scream as Y/N just watches.
Luz: Okay, Bat Queen. That's the last one. I've done all your chores. And I've proved my dedication to Owlbert. I'm so sorry for the pain I caused you, Owlbert. I promise to be more careful. Will you come back home with me?
Owlbert looks at Luz for a second then back to Y/N who gives him a "please come back home" look. Owlbert then nods his head as he flies down and starts to wattle to Luz. Both Luz and Y/N smile, but before he gets close to Luz Bat Queen lifts up her claw for webs to incase Owlbert.
Bat Queen: No! More trails. Last trial. You must face... me. [flames ignite behind her]
Luz: WHAT!?
Bat Queen then attacks Luz as she dodges it just in time.
Bat Queen: You will never get him back!
Luz then gets off the ground as she was then attack by the bat queens babies. Y/N then uses his fire powers to burn off his and Gus's webs.
Gus: Finally! [looks at Y/N] Why did you wait for so long!?
Y/N: Help Luz. Questions for later.
Gus: Alright then. I'll hold em off with my flags.
Gus waves his flag in a weird way. The bat babies see this and attack Gus.
Gus: Ahhh! Bad idea! Y/N help!
Y/N just smiles and rolls his eyes as he just summons a little fire to scare the bat babies away.
Gus: Thanks.
Y/N: No problem.
Y/N then sees Owlbert struggling to get out of the webs as he uses his fire to burn off the webs to free him. Owlbert flies up and lands on Y/N shoulder.
Y/N: Ok let's go help Luz.
Before Y/N went after him he felt something wet on his cheek and rubbed it. He was crying. But why?
Gus: Y/N you ok?
Owlbert let out a worried hoot.
Y/N: Y-Yea. Let's go. (Weird, why did I cry?)
Back with Luz. She was running away from bat queen. She managed to lose her in some trees but Bat queen found her and started shrieking at her. Luz panicked and started to run, as bat queen knocked over the trees and chased after her.
Luz: I won't let you imprison Owlbert.
Luz tries to hit bat queen with the staff but misses. Bat queen tries to swoop down and attack Luz but she ducks just in time. However she didn't watch where she was going as she trips and falls on some vines. She looks down and sees that the vines had wrapped around her legs. Bat Queen sees her chance and attack Luz with her claws, but before her claws make contact Luz stops it with Eda's staff. As Luz was struggling to hold Bat Queen she looks to her left and sees something on Bat Queens left foot.
Luz: Wait is that-
Y/N&Gus: LUZ!
Both Luz and Bat Queen looked up and sees Y/N, Gus, and Owlbert approaching them.
Luz: Guys!
Bat Queen lifts her right claw up and uses her magic to try and trap Y/N and Gus in webs. But Y/N sees this and picks up Gus and jumps into the air before the webs trap them. Bat queen looks up at Y/N and was about to trap him but Y/N says something.
Y/N: You should focus on your opponent in front of you.
Before Bat Queen could question it she feels the human pushes her off the staff. Do to her having her right foot up she loses balance and falls on the ground. Luz gets up from the ground and looks at Bat Queens left foot and sees an interlock.
Luz: Bat Queen, you used to be on a staff, didn't you? You were a Palisman.
Bat Queen gasps and looks up from the ground in utter shock that a human and a dragon slayer knows her secret.
Back with Luke and Willow
Luke was slowly starting to regain consciousness as he looked up and saw Willow.
Luke: W-Willow.
Willow: Shhh. [hugs him tight] I'm right here.
Luke just lets the hug happen as he was too tired to do anything else. The demon slayer was watching this in shock but then decided this was enough. The demon slayer breaks through the vines with pure strength and lands on the ground staring at the two. Willow looks up at the demon slayer and glares at the slayer.
Demon Slayer: Young witch girl [holds up hand] Hand over the demon.
Willow: No. I won't.
Demon Slayer: Don't be foolish. If we don't deal with him now he will-
Willow: I said I won't.
Demon Slayer: *irritated* I'm trying to save you and everyone! Don't you get it!? Look around! [gestures to the destroyed place] That much power could possibly wipe out all the Isle! If we don't deal with it know it will kill everyone and everything! Just like- [breaths in and out] Hand over that thing now.
Willow gently places Luke on the ground and slowly starts to get up.
Willow: [closes her eyes as her hair blocks them as well] He is not an it [slowly lifts her arms] His not a thing. [begins to draw two circles] He is my friend. [vines starts to surround her] And I won't let anyone [opens her eyes to revel green eyes] take him away.
The demon slayer says and summons the spear.
Demon Slayer: So be it. I will do whatever it takes [eyes glow] To protect the Isles
The Slayer then gets into a fight possession doing a stare down at Willow. The slayer starts running at her as Willow commands her vines to attack the slayer. The slayer manages to run pass all the vines going in to pierce Willow only for the slayers spear to be stopped by more vines. The ground below them then starts to break open to revel a giant venus fly trap as it tries to chop the slayer. The Demon slayer summons another spear and jumps off of it just in time. The slayer turns around and sees two vines approaching. The slayer dodges the first one and then the second one but was cut off guard when two more appeared from under ground grabbing the slayers leg. The slayer was brought down and hit the ground hard. The Slayer grunts using a spear to cut the vine off creating some distance away from Willow.
Demon Slayer: Ok your good but let see you handle [draws a circle] this.
The Slayer then finishes the circle as multiple spears appear. The slayer holds up a arm as multiple spears attack Willow. Willow then draws a circle as a giant Oak tree appears taking all the spears. Some of the spears were able to get through but since the tree was too thick they fell in front of Willow.
Demon Slayer: A great defense I see.
The tree starts to disappear as Willow continues to glare at the Slayer.
Demon Slayer: I find it impressive that you were able to block that.
The Demon Slayer runs up and dashes around the tree summoning a spear to throw at Willow. After appearing around her Willow sees the demon slayer from the corner of her eye.
Demon Slayer: It's over now.
The Slayer was about to throw the spear but was cut off when vines wrapped around the slayer's armor.
Demon Slayer: Damn it! [looks at Willow] Looks like I underestimate you.
Willow just glares with her hands up keeping the Demon slayer at bay.
Luke: *chuckles weakly* (Was she always this strong?)
Demon Slayer: *struggles* Why are you protecting it?
Willow: First of all he's not an it and second of all like I said he's my friend.
Demon Slayer: You saw first hand what power your so-called friend possesses. Keeping him alive will only bring destruction to the boiling isle.
Willow: Then I'll save him.
Demon Slayer: With that "little flower" nonsense. Soon that will fall to work and then what. I'll tell you everyone will die. Now release me and let me-
Willow: I DON'T CARE!
This shocked both Luke and the demon slayer.
Willow: I don't care how destructive his power is! I don't care about him being a demon! I won't stand by and lose another friend!
Luke: (Another? Wait, does she mean Amity?)
Willow: So if you want him [Green Magic Aura surrounds her] You have to get through me.
Once Willow said that the demon slayer had a sudden memory.
Standing in front of an old house, All the demon slayers surrounded a black blood demon, his wife and his baby.
Demon: If you want them [eyes glows red] You have to go through me.
The scene changes from the demon to Willow staring at the Demon Slayer as the slayer just looks down.
Demon Slayer: *sigh* Fine, you win.
Willow glares at the slayer for a bit but decides to let the demon slayer go. The vines slowly start to unwrap around the slayer as they all disappear. The slayer begins to walk back to the middle of the clearing as the slayer's body and armour becomes hardened black blood.
Demon Slayer: I must return back but before I go [looks at Luke] If you wish for help to control that power inside of you come back and challenge me again someday.
The blood takes over the Slayer as the slayer becomes a statue like before. Both Luke and Willow look shocked as of what happened. Luke replays the demon slayer's words in his head as he just lays there for a bit.
Willow: [walks up to Luke] Are you ok?
Luke: More or less.
Willow: *smiles* hehe Well I'm glad I didn't lose you.
Luke just chuckled a bit but remembers what he said to Willow as he looked down in sadness.
Luke: Hey, sorry for what I said before.
Willow: *shakes her head* It's fine I knew you didn't mean it.
Luke just smiles a bit as he tries to sit up but can't due to exhaustion. Willow notices this and lifts Lukes right arm over her shoulder as she carries him.
Luke: (Seriously was she always this strong?)
Willow: Ready to head back?
Luke: Yea.
Both Willow and Luke slowly started making their way back to the others.
Meanwhile with the others. Bat Queen gets up from the ground and hides her left foot.
Luz: You were once a Palisman, weren't you?
The Bat Queen sighs and lifts up her foot to show the kids her interlock.
Bat Queen: Yes, I was once part of a grand staff. A staff made for a giant. But I was broken, discarded.
Zack: *worried* Bat Queen.
Y/N: I get it now. That's why you're so protective of Owlbert.
Bat Queen: I protect [eyes glow golden] ALL!
Suddenly all around Bat Queen golden eyes start to appear. The others were surprised but then noticed that all around them wear palisman in different shapes and sizes.
Y/N: Whoa.
Bat Queen: I made home in forest. I'm here to take the lost. The forgotten.
Luz: *Walks up to Bat Queen* I understand. But Owlbert is not forgotten. He has someone at home who loves him very much.
Bat Queen: He will not go back with you. [starts to walk away]
Luz: *irritated* That is not your decision to make!
Bat Queen: *turns around angrily* I won't let him!
Bat Queen then lifts up her claw and is about to attack Luz. Luz uses her hands to shield herself in fear until she feels heat and hears a hoot. She looks up and sees Y/N with a fire fist and Owlbert with his wings out.
Y/N: Enough. [looks at Owlbert] Let Owlbert decide.
Bat Queen looks at Owlbert as Owlbert eyes start to glow golden, as well as bat queens.
Bat Queen: You… You care for her. [looks at Y/N] and him.
Their eyes stopped glowing as Olwbert nods and hoots as he wodles to Luz and Y/N. Luz picks up Owlbert and holds him close. Olwbert then starts to rub on Luz.
Y/N: *chuckles* Good to have you back buddy.
Owlbert flies up on Y/N shoulder and nuzzles on his cheek as well.
Bat Queen: Go and take your friends.
Everyone looks at the cave and sees Willow carrying Luke over her shoulder.
Everyone: Willow! Luke!
The two friends approach Y/N, Luz, and Gus.
Willow: Hey guys!
Luz: What happened to you two!?
Luke: *chuckles weakly* Long story. But that's for another time.
Even though they wanted to know, they also knew it was time to head home. Owlbert flies over to the staff and grabs it and hands it to Luz.
Luz: Bat Queen, do you know what happened to your owner?
Bat Queen: It has been thousands of years. I've forgotten.
Luz: If you ever want to search for the truth, I'll help you.
Bat Queen: Thank you [starts to fly off but stops] Young dragon slayer.
Y/N: Yea?
Bat Queen: I must ask why didn't you try to help your friends?
There was a moment of silence as everyone was looking at Y/N.
Y/N: *sighs* Because I know I can't always be there to save my friends. There are going to be battles when they have to fight on their own. So I have to let them fight on their own so that way they two can become strong to.
Bat Queen: But what if the choice you made was the wrong one?
Y/N: Then I'll have no choice but to leave in regret. However *smiles* I believe in my friends and I know whatever they can handle *lifts his fist up* they can handle it.
Both Luz and Luke just smiled at Y/N's response as Bat Queen was surprised by it and just smiles.
Bat Queen: (He really is different from you. Igneel.)
Bat Queen: I see then. Well until we meet again children.
Bat Queen begins to fly away leaving the friends by themselves.
Willow: I still can't believe you took on the bat Queen.
Gus: And were not dead.
Luke: (Yet.) *whispers* and I can't believe you took on the demon slayer.
Willow: *blushes* that was nothing.
Luz: Yea. *sadly* I'm sorry we missed the game.
Gus: Are you kidding? That was better than any grudgby match. There were action‐packed trials. I got to do my flag wave, and I'm slightly traumatized. Hooray!
Luke: (You and me both Gus.)
Y/N: *chuckles* Alright lets head home.
The group begins to head back home while Zack spirit was watching and looked back down at the ground.
Zack: Told ya this new generation would surprise you BQ.
Timeskip.
Luz: [puts on a bandaid on Owlbert] And now you're a part of the boo‐boo buddy club.
Y/N: [rubs Owlberts head] Hehe welcome buddy.
Suddenly they hear the door open to revel Eda and King.
Eda: Owlbert, why are you off the staff? [Owlbert lands on Eda's shoulder and hoots] The kids took you to get ice cream? Aw, that's... a horrible lie.
Both Y/N and Luz give a sheepish grin.
Eda: Well, lucky for you all I don't care right now. [looks around] Where is Luke anyway?
Y/N: His upstairs with Willow.
Eda: Oh the little plant girl huh? (Guess I can have fun with this one to) Well anyway I'm going to take a nap. [walks upstairs]
King: I'll, uh, be at the playground.
Hooty: *wraps around King* OH NO YOU DON'T!
King: Wha- Hooty what are you-
Suddenly the door closes. Owlbert flies back on Luz's shoulder.
Y/N: W-What just happened?
Luz: I uh don't know. [looks at Y/N] So you really trust me?
Y/N: Yea of course. You want to be a witch which means you want to become strong. I know I can't be there with you all the time so there are things you have to do on your own. But if things do get to out of hand *smiles* you can count on me to help you out.
Luz smiles and blushes at Y/N words. She couldn't believe how much he trusted her. She then goes up and kisses Y/N's cheek causing him to blush bright red.
Luz: That's for believing in me. And maybe [blushes] When your fighting I'll be your cheerleader. Or if you get hurt I could be [blushes bright red] Y-Y-Your nurse Luz.
Y/N went through a whole new shade of red as steam started to come out meanwhile Luz couldn't keep it on anymore as she got up and ran out.
Luz: trynottopushyourselfandIwon'teitherbye!
Luz leaves the room as Y/N looks out blushing bright red as Owlbert lands on his shoulder.
Y/N: W-What just happened?
Owlbert just hoots. Then Y/N sees baby dragon walking up to him all sad.
Y/N: *bends down* Hey what's wrong buddy?
Just then the door opens releveling King all beat up.
King: Uhhh sec- baby dragon I would like to apologise for what I said. If you want, could you please become my second in command again.
Baby dragon walks up to King and gives him a small smile. King smiled…. Until he was shot with black smoke that came out of baby dragon's nose.
King: Ok I deserve that.
Baby dragon starts rubbing on King.
King: haha yes the King and his second is back! Now let's reclaim our throne.
Both baby dragon and King start to head to the playground leaving a confused Y/N.
Y/N: uhhh What just happened?
Owlbert just shrugs as he hoots.
With Bat Queen
Currently Bat Queen was busy chasing her kids as their were flying everywhere.
Bat Queen: Babies to bed.
The three babies lands inside a branch chirping.
Bat Queen: And now it's time to have book before sleeping. [burps]
Bat Queen then throws up a book that says "A pox on a Fox". She opens the book and rips it out and… feeds the babies.
Bat Queen: Yes, consume. Grow wise. Avoid paper cuts.
The baby slowly start to shut their eyes as Bat Queen appears behind them as she surrounds them with her wings. The camera zooms out to show them hanging upside down. Before Bat Queen falls asleep she starts to remember Y/N Dragneel.
Bat Queen: (For you to have that much trust for your comrades. You really are different them him.
Igneel: A true King never loses and never shows weakness. He must sacrifice for the great or good.
Bat Queen: The road you have set yourself is doom to fail Igneel. You will end up being consumed by this power.
Bat Queen: (He only cared about himself winning not others but you were different young dragon slayer. Just like he said.)
Bat Queen: The cycle continues with this bloodline.
Zack: That may be true but I believe there will be someone who will break this cycle.
Bat Queen then shots her eyes and smiles and drifts to sleep.
Luke POV
Luke: Failed again huh?
Little Demon: I guess so.
Right now I was in the black room staring at the demon.
Luke: So what now?
Little Demon: Now? *chuckles* Well now you know I won't continue to sit quietly. There will be times I'll take control and times when I won't. The problem is you don't know when right?
Luke: I guess not the best I can do is just slow it down.
Little Demon: But how long do you think that will last?
Luke: *sighs* I don't know. At this rate I might have to do that plan.
Little Demon: Plan nuclear huh?
Luke: Weird you know about it but decide to do nothing.
Little Demon: *smiles* Of course If I can't take control then I rather no one else does.
Everything begins to go black as I slowly start to wake up and see Willow holding me close to her as she is asleep.
Plan nuclear seems to be my best option right now.
