Another school day for the owl house crew. The three friends were sitting down beside each other in the beast keeping track with Gajeel sitting behind them.
Luz: What do you guys think todays assignment is?
Y/N: I don't know. Maybe something cool.
Both Luz and Y/N was excited.
Luke: Hopefully something least annoying.
Gajeel: Hopefully.
And Luke and Gajeel not so much. Soon the teacher enter the classroom.
Teacher: Good morning class. Now as you know I promised you all a speical assigmeent.
Both Luz and Y/N were shaking with excitement.
Luke/Gajeel: (Idiots.)
Teacher: Today assiment isssssss... *pulls out an egg in his pocket* Egg sitting!
There was a moment of silence until Y/N and Luz both shouted.
Y/N/Luz: YEAAAHHHHH!
Luke/Gajeel: (Egg what now?)
Luz: I know this assigment! You partner up with someone and take care of an egg!
Teacher: *chuckles* Yes Exactly! I can see some of you are educated!
Luz smile from the praise she resived.
Gajeel: *raises his hand* Hey teach? What's the point of this assigment?
Teacher: For you all to learn about the process of how a creature is made in this world. We all have our beginings and ends to this world. What I want you all to learn is a beings existance.
Luke: *raises his hand* And what are the teams for this assiment?
Teacher: Lucky for all of you I already takin the libarty to assign you all partners. So don't get mad if you are stuck with someone you don't like.
The teacher goes over and pulls out a sheet of paper with names on them.
Teacher: The first team is...
Luz: *crosses her fingers and whispers* Me and Y/N. Me and Y/N. Me and Y/N. Me and Y/N.
Teacher: Luz and Gajeel.
Luz felt something shatter as Gajeels eyes widen.
Luz/Gajeel: WHAT!?
Teacher: I said no complaining. Besides you two would be good parnters.
Both Gajeel and Luz looked at each other with Luz glaring at him and Gajeel squinting his eyes at her.
Teacher: Next team is Y/N and Gaby.
Y/N turns his head to Gaby. She was a very beautiful white-skinned girl with waist-length white hair (it is often mistaken to be a shade of blue in the Light Novel) that is half tied by a hair clip with bangs covering either of her eyebrows, gold eyes with hints of auburn/brown in certain lighting and her eyes appear to be slightly cat eyed/curved up to fit with her mysterious/kuudere vibe.
Y/N just smiles at her as she turns back around making Y/N sweat nervously. He then heard Luz fall on the table as she lightly sob.
Luz: *anime sob* I wanted to be on your team.
Y/N: *pats her back* There there.
Teacher: Next team: Luke and Viney.
Luke looks over to Viney as she smiles at him as he just nods his head. Soon the teacher finished calling everyone else names for their partners. The bell rang indicating that class is over.
Teacher: One of your partners come take your egg! And remember any fracture to your egg will result into *glares* Remedial Classes.
All the students couldn't help but shiver from that. Each one of the partners grabbed their egg, Y/N grabbed his and Gaby's, Luz grabbed hers and Gajeel, and Viney grabbed hers and Lukes.
Luz: I can't believe I'm Gajeels parnter.
Gajeel: *offended* Hey this ain't no pinic for me human!
Luz: Hey my name is Luz!
Gajeel: Save it for someone who cares!
Both Luz and Gajeel started arguing as Y/N and the others just watched.
Y/N: *sweats drop* W-Well there going to have fun.
Luke: Define fun.
Y/N then saw Gaby walking up to him.
Y/N: *looks at her* Guess we're partners.
Gaby:... Yea.
Y/N: *sweatdrops* S-So how do you want to do this?
Gaby:... However... You want to?

Luke was in the back watching this. He then felt Viney walking up to him.
Viney: So how do you want to do this? You watch it tomorrow and I watch it Sunday?
Luke: *shurgs his shoulder* Don't matter to me.
Viney just pouts as Luke just raises his eyebrow.

Viney: At least try to care.
Luke: Hey! I was just going along with your suggestion!
Viney: No you just didn't care!

This is going to be a looooong assigment.
The scene cuts to a new morning. The sun started to rise and the three friends started to wake up. Y/N was the first to wake up and as soon as he did he was face to face with Gaby. There was a moment of silence until Y/N started to speak.
Y/N:... Uhhhh hey Gaby.
Gaby:... Hey.
Y/N: Uhh quick question: What are you doing here?
Gaby: *holds up their egg*...Eggsitting.
Y/N: Riiiight. Ok next question: How did you get in here?
Gaby just pointed and Y/N looked over and saw the window was open.
Gaby:...Open window.
Y/N: Uh huh?
Zack: Ok scratched weird she's crazy.
Y/N: (Be nice.)
Luke started to wake up and looked over to see Gaby standing over Y/N.
Luke: Uhhhh *rubs his eyes* Either I'm still tired or I'm dreaming.
Y/N: Nope all real.
Luke: Riiiight.
After that weird and akward moment the three were sitting in the kitchen getting ready to eat breakfest. Gaby was holding the egg and staring at it very very intestinly.
Gaby: Jiiiiiiiiii...
Luke on the other hand was holding his with one hand as he was looking at Gaby.
Luke: I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere.
Gaby:...Must watch... At all times.
Luke: Ooook then.
They then heard Eda walking inside the kitchen.
Eda: *yawns* Morn- *sees Gaby* ing. Ugh! *looks at Luke* Kid how many times do I have to tell you, if your going to bring girls over! Let me know!
Luke: Why did you assume it was me?
Eda: *raises her eyebrow* Do you want me to answer that?
Luke: *grumbles* I hate you.
Eda: Anyway what's for breakfest?
Y/N: Pancacks.
Y/N pulls out a plate of pancacks and sets them on the table.
Eda: Ooooh. Yummy.
Eda then started muching down on them like a savage.
Luke: *cover his eyes* Must you eat like a savage.
Eda: *mouth full* Shwt uw kwd.
Luke: Swallow when you talk.
Y/N just chuckles but sees Gaby not eatting but still staring at the egg.
Y/N: What's wrong Gaby? Not hungry.
Gaby:...Must watch egg... Please feed me.
Y/N: *shocked* Uhh sure?
Y/N then takes up a piece of a pancake and hold it up near Gaby's mouth. Without looking she takes a bit. Just then Luz walks in letting out a yawn.
Luz: Good mor- *sees Y/N and Gaby* ing.
Zack: I think these are one of those misunderstandings.
Eda: Swp kwd.
Luz: Uhh what is going on?
Y/N: *sweats* Luz! I can-
Luke: *points to Gaby* Broke into our house *points to Y/N* feeding her pancacks.
Y/N just stared at Luke.
Zack: I mean is he wrong.
Y/N: (Zack!)
Luz: *grumbles* That should have been me.

Luz: Nothing.
Gaby:...Thanks for the food... Dear.
Everything goes quiet.
Y/N: W-What?
Gaby: *looks at Y/N* We're parents... Playing the role...

Luz eyes starts to twitch as Luke tries to hold in a laugh. Eda was busy laughing but ended up chocking as she quickly grabs apple blood and chugs it down.
Gaby: *gets up* Let's go.
Y/N: Uhh where?
Gaby: Park... Family bonding.
Y/N: Oh ok.
Y/N noticed a death glare and looks over to Luz. Luz is busy glaring daggers at Gaby. Y/N sweets nervously and grabs Gaby's arm.
Y/N: L-Let's go!
Both Y/N and Gaby rushes out leaving the owl house people. Not before hearing Luke and Eda teasing.
Luke: Have fun!
Eda: Don't make more babies!
This made Y/N blushes as he and Gaby rushed off to the park. Luz just huffs and sat down.
Luke: Mad that ain't you?
Luz just glares at Luke which mad him turn. The last thing he needs is an anrgy Luz.
Luz: I can't believe this! I was hoping me and Y/N would be partners! Now i'm stuck with Mr metal face!
Hooty: *hisses* How dare you come to my house!? *hisses*
Gajeel: Like I want to be here!
Luke: Speak of the devil.
Luz: *sigh* Let's just get this over with.
Luz heads to the door and open in to see Gajeel and Hooty arguing. Gajeel sees Luz and pushes Hooty out of his face.
Gajeel: Hey.
Luz: Hey.
Silence.
Gajeel: *sighs* Look you don't like me and I don't like you. Let's just each take care of it on our own and be done with this assigment.
Luz: Uhh no.
Gajeel: Huh?
Luz: If we are going to do this then we are going to do this right.
Gajeel: *raises his eyebrow* Meaning?
Luz then reaches over to the side and pulled out a baby helper. Gajeel lets out a laugh.
Gajeel: hahahahah! What your going to put that on!?
Gajeel continues to laugh until he noticed Luz with a sly smile making him stop and go pale.
Gajeel: Oh hell no! I ain't putting that on!
Luz: Ok then guess I'll just tell the teacher you let the liitle old human do this project all alone. Leaving you with a failed grade taking *smiles* Remedial classes.
Gajeel just jolted hearing that. He remember the last time he had to do that and lets just say it was not fun.
Gajeel:... Give me the damn harnest.
Luz: I knew you see things my way.
Gajeel: I hate you.
Luz: Same.
Both Gajeel and Luz leave the owl house. While Luke and Eda was still in the kitchen.
Eda: Seems those two are going to have a day. *looks at Luke* What about you?
Luke: Me and Viney agreed we'll each take care of it on everyother day.
Suddenly Hooty appeared.
Hooty: Hoot Hoot! Guess who has a visitor!? *rubs his cheeks on Luke's* It's you best buddy!
Luke: *sigh* (Why?)
Luke gets up and walks to the door and opens it. In front of him was Viney wearing. She had a gray polo shirt, with black jean, and matching black sneakers
Viney: Hey Luke.
Luke: Uhhh hey? What are you doing here?
Viney: Well I gave it some thought and maybe it would be better to do this as a family.
Luke: What? Just yesterday you wanted to switch off everyother day.
Viney: *smirks* Well I change my mind. Beside *holds up her egg* our little child needs both parents to support them.
Luke: (Got damn it! Why me!?) *sighs* Fine why not? *crosses his arms* So what do you want to do?
Viney: *thinks for a second* Well maybe we should see what daddy does?
Luke: Huh?
Viney: *giggles* You heard me. Today we are going to see what dad does on his day.
Luke: I don't think it's a good idea.
Viney: Aww come on Lukey *gets in his face* Don't you want your family to see what you do?
Luke just stares at Viney for a bit and twitchs
Luke: (I don't even let Y/N and Luz see what I do. And why the hell does she have to be so close!) *sigh* Fine.
Viney: *giggles* You hear that little junior we get to see what daddy does.

Viney: Aww why *rubs her cheeks on Luke's* You make a good dad.
Hooty: *rubs on his other cheek* I agree!

Luke grabs Viney's arm and walks off.
Luke: lets get this over with.

As Luke and Viney get further away from the house Viney decied to ask Luke something.
Viney: Sooo what do you do anyway?
Luke: I... *sigh* Look don't be to shocked when we get there.
Viney: Uhhh ok? (Maybe I'll understand when we get there.)
Inside Bat queens deep cave
Viney: (Ok never mind I don't understand at all.)
Currently Viney was sitting down holding the egg in her hand as Luke wa busy avoiding attacks from the demon slayer.
Demon slayer: Hahahah! Your getting better at this kid!
Luke: Do you have to attack me when I wake you up!?
Luke was able to flip and dodges mutilple spears that was heading for him. He slide on the ground and looked up glaring at the Demon slayer.
Demon slayer: You know what I always say kid: Expect the unepected.
Luke: Yeeeeaaa it's hard to do that when you expected it to happened MULTIPLE TIMES!
Demon Slayer: HAHAHAH! Fair point!
The demon slayer rushes at Luke with spear in hand about to pierce him. Luke draws a circle and pulls out his sword and parries the attack. The two start unleashing multiple strikes parrying and countering each other.
Demon Slayer: HAHAHA! Not bad! Now how about this!?
The Demon Slayer does a slide kick and knocks Luke off balance and aims his spear at his face. Luke sees this and quickly dives into his shadow. He appears behind the slayer about to stab them but the slayer catches back kicks his sword out of his hand and hit's him in the face with the back of the spear. Luke grunts and falls on the ground. As he slowly starts to recover he sees the Slayer point the spear towards his neck towering above him.
Demon Slayer: *grins* Another win for me kid.
Luke: *groans* Yea yea.
Demon Slayer: Hahaha! Don't beat yourself up kid! *removes the spear from his neck* I actually had to try a little that time!
Luke: Good for me huh?
Viney: Uhhhh.
The two turn their head towards Viney.
Viney: What is going on?
Demon Slayer: A witch child!? How did she get in here!?
Luke: *facepalms* She was her the whole time!
Demon Slayer: Interesting so she can hide her apperance!
Luke: *facepalms* (Why am I surrounded by idiots!?)
Viney: Uhhh yea? Who are you?
Demon Slayer: *walks up to Viney* Why my young witch child I am *does a pose* The last Demon slayer!
There was a moment of silence as Luke continues to facepalm.
Demon Slayer: *clears throat* Tough crowed.
Viney: A demon slayer?
Demon Slayer: Yep! I'm the last of my kind!
Viney: Riight? So why are you here?
Demon Slayer: Simple really I've been cuuuursed!
Viney: *shocked* Cursed!?
Demon Slayer: *nods* Yep! A long tome ago I fought a powerful demon! Our fight was legendary! With his last breath he cursed me!

Demon Slayer: Sure I did! I told her I was cursed!
Luke: Yes but not what kind of curse!
Demon Slayer: Oh yea right. You see the curse that was placed on me was a kind were I have a limited time to move freely. Only a black blood demon can free me from it well *looks a Luke* temorarily.
Luke just rolls his eyes as Viney looks at Luke.
Viney: (Black blood demon?)
Suddenly some of the demon slayers aromer started to blacken.
Demon Slayer: Oop! Seems like times almost up! *looks at Luke* Keep training kid! *looks at Viney* Hope to see you again little witch girl!
The Demon Slayer runs back to the center of the area and strikes a pose as their whole body gets covered in black blood. The blood hardens freezing the Slayer. Viney watches in shock as Luke just sighs.
Luke: Seriously. Always need to strike a pose.
Viney: Uhhh
Luke turns to Viney.
Viney: What the heck!?
Luke: *sigh* This is where I come to train.
Viney: I get that! What about *point to the demon slayer*
Luke: Oh right. In a way that's my training partner.
Viney: Still not explaining much!

Currently Gajeel was wearing the baby harness as him and Luz was walking around town. During their walk people would stare and glace at Gajeel saying things like:
"Aww"
"The kids are playing house"
"That so precious"
"I wonder if he's going to eat that?"
Gajeel: *eye twitching* I can't believe you talked me into doing this.
Luz: Aww what's wrong? Don't you like being a father?
Gajeel can tell by Luz's voices that she is trying to annoy him and it's working.
Gajeel: *mutters* I am going to kill this human.
Luz just let out a teasing giggle as her and Gajeel continue walking around town.
Gajeel: So besides humaliting me around town, what are we doing here?
Luz: Spending time as a... family.
Gajeel: Still hard to say huh?
Luz: Yes. Besides it beats being kocked up inside a cave.
Gajeel:... That was oddly sposific.
Luz just shrugged her shoulders as her and Gajeel continue to walk around town. It was quiet for a bit until Gajeel started to speak.

Luz just pouts.

Before Gajeel could continue he then heard music. Both Luz and Gajeel turned their heads and saw a crowd.
Luz: Uhh what's going on over there?
Luz turned and saw Gajeel already walking over their.
Luz: Hey! *runs after him* Wait up!
As both Luz and Gajeel struggled to get into the front. As soon as they made it to the front they saw a person playing on a guitar. He was singing music.
Luz: Wow didn't know they do this here. Pretty cool huh?
When Luz turned her head she saw the outline of Gajeel.
Luz: What the!? *looks around* Where did he-
Soon the song ended and the crowd started to cheer.
"Thank you. Thank you. I'm also taking open preformances. Anyone want's to preform?"
?: I'll take it from here pal.
The preformer looks around to find who said that. He looked to his left and saw Gajeel with his guitar in his hand.
"Uhh who are-"
Gajeel: Names Black steel Gajeel *looks at the crowd* And I'm about to blow your minds!
Luz just stared at Gajeel.
Luz: Uhhh what is happening?
Gajeel took a sit on the chair and strum the guitar.

After the song ended the crowd let out a cheer. Even Luz had to clap for him.
Luz: He really isn't that bad.

Gajeel return the man his guitar and jumped down to Luz and began to walk away. Luz ran up to catch up to him.
Luz: Wow you must really like singing?
Gajeel: It's a passion I have for.
Luz: Really? What made you get into it.
Gajeel was quiet as he started to remember the first song he ever heard.
Flashback
A young Gajeel was walking around the beach of the Isles. As he was he saw something washed up on the ocean floor. He ran over to it and picked it up.
Young Gajeel: *holds the object up* What's this?
Gajeel blows on it, making sand go everywhere. He starts coughing a bit and looks at the object and notices it was some kind of CD case.
Gajeel: *confused* The hell is this?
He looked down and also noticed a CD player beside it. He shrugs his shoulders and opens the CD players case . He then puts the CD in the player and pressed the play button on it. As he did, music started to play.
The young Gajeel was amazed. He had stars in his eyes as he was overjoyed.
Young Gajeel: *amazed* THIS IS AWESOME!

Gajeel: And that's how I got into music.
Luz: Huh cool. (Did it come from the human world? I mean who still uses CD players these days?)
As the two continue to walk Gajeel let out a sigh.
Gajeel: Hey. About-
?: Well, Well, Well.
Gajeel: *sighs and closes his eyes* Oh Got damn it.
The two partners turned around and saw Bosha with her usual group walking up towards them.
Luz: Oh hey Bosha.
Bosha: Well if it's not little human *looks at Gajeel* And the brute.
Gajeel: Say what you want. *crosses his arms over his chest* I take that as a compliment.
Bosha: Of course an uncivilized animal would say that.
The group laughed as Gajeel just growled.
Gajeel: What do you want?
Bosha: Oh just to see what you and round ears hear were up to. *noticed the egg on Gajeel* Oh. My. God! Are you two play house or something!?
Gajeel: *grumbles* It's an assignment.
Bosha takes out her scroll and starts taking pictures of the two.
Gajeel: Hey!
Bosha: "Words greats dragon slayer now brought down to sad father" #loser
The group started to laugh at Boshas post as Gajeel was unamuzed. Luz was having enough of this and stood up for him.
Luz: Hey! That's enough!
Bosha: Awww look at the weak mother defending her father and son. What are you going to do, lecture me?
The group just laughed as Luz looked down sadly. Gajeel had enough and decided to walk up to Bosha.
Gajeel: Leave her alone Triclops!
Bosha: First of all don't call me that!
Gajeel: Really? If I remember you used to loooove me calling you that back in the day.
Bosha started to blush as the group was confused.
Skara: Uhh Bosha, what's he talking about?
Before Bosha could say something Gajeel interrupts.
Gajeel: Oh you see me and triclops here use to spend, *narrows his eyes with a sly grin* intimate time together.
They were shocked by that as Bosha continued to blush madly from embersimment.
Amelia: You and Gajeel were a thing!?
Bosha: NO WE WERN'T!
Gajeel: Yeeea more like sex friends. Though I almost forgot how well built a body you have.
This comment made everyone, even Luz blush, as Gajeel laughed.
Luz: (Well... Didn't need to hear that.)
Bosha: Listen here you metal bone head! You and I were never a thing! And whatever happen didn't happened!
Gajeel: Uh-huh you remind me about that a lot.
Bosha: Ugh! How can anyone put up with you!? You're just an annoying freak!
Gajeel didn't show it but the word freak did hit him a bit, but he played it off as nothing happened and just shrugged at Bosha, making her growl.
Bosha: Lets go *starts to walk away* And not a word of this to anyone! Are we clear!?
Group: Yes ma'am!
As the group walked away Gajeel and Luz.
Luz: Well that happened.
Gajeel:... Yea.
Luz: Hey are you ok?
Gajeel: Yea I'm fun. Besides nothing she says get to me anyway. *starts to walk* Lets go.
As Gajeel was walking Luz looked at him for a bit and said.
Luz:...Thanks.
Gajeel: *stops* Huh?
Gajeel turns around and sees Luz with a smile on her face.
Luz: For sticking up for me. Not a lot of people would do that.
Gajeel was silent for a bit.
Luz: You know our first meeting wasn't the... best, and when I got paired with you, well lets be honest the both of us wasn't very thrilled to be partners, since our recent fight.
Gajeel just grunted for a bit
Luz: But... I can see you truly are trying to change, so if Y/N want's to give you a chance then I will to.
Gajeel was shocked to know that Luz was willing to give him a chance. Buuuut
Gajeel: *turns around a scofs* Like I need a chance from a human like you.
Luz just sweat drops and looks at Gajeel.
Luz: *mutter* So much for second chances.
But Luz noticed something, she didn't know if her eyes was playing tricks on her, but she could have sworn she saw Gajeel with a tear falling from his eye.
Luz: *smiles* (I guess he really is shy.)
Luz runs to go catch up to Gajeel.
With Y/N and Gaby
Currently Y/N and Gaby were sitting on a bench, with Gaby staring intently at the egg and Y/N just looked at them both with sweat dripping.
Y/N: Uh heheh G-Gaby y-you uhh you don't have to watch the egg so intestly like that.
Gaby:...Must protect.
Y/N: *sweat drops* I see.
The two then started to hear children laughing. They turned and see two kids playing on the squid-looking swing. They both were laughing and having a great time. Y/N couldn't help but smile.
Gaby:...Y/N.
Y/N: *turns to Gaby* Hm?
Gaby:...What's it like...to have friends?
Y/N: Huh?
Gaby: *takes her eyes off the egg and looks at the kids* Never had... Friends... Always alone. What's it like?
Y/N was silent for a bit but then smiled at her.
Y/N: It's really hard to explain... But having friends is well nice in a way.
Gaby: Nice?
Y/N: Yea. They are there for you when you cry.
The kid on the swing ended up jumping off the swing high in the air, however he ended up falling on the ground face first and started to cry. His friend ran up to him and started to treat his injury as best he could.
Y/N: They are there for you when you need them the most. That's my definition to a friend.
Gaby looks up and stares at Y/N. She looked at him for a bit and did a small smile
Y/N: *looks at Gaby* Why do you ask?
Gaby: *looks away* People...Think... I'm weird... Bring bad...Mood... *hugs the egg* Always...Alone.
Y/N looked at Gaby for a second but then smiled at her.
Y/N: Hey. If it makes you feel better I think your cool.
Gaby:*looks at Y/N surprised* Really?
Y/N: Yea. You might not say much, but you still wanted to help me out with this project, instead of making me do it myself. You are a good person in my book.
Gaby started at Y/N for a bit and then smiled as she hugged him. Sadly she dropped the egg, but luckly Y/N caught it. He let out a breath of relief.
Gaby:...Thank you.
Y/N: heheh no problem.
?: Y/N?
Y/N fliched as he turned and saw a certain green haired girl.
Y/N: A-A-Amity!?
Amity stared at the two for a bit and then started to glare.
Amity: What are you two doing?
Y/N and Gaby separated, mostly due to Y/N letting the hug go, as Y/N had his hands up.
Y/N: A-A-Amity! I can explain! (Wait why am I so nervous explaining!?)
Gaby:...Couple.
There was a moment of silence. Y/N slowly turned to Gaby with his mouth open and a shocked expression.
Gaby:...*holds up the egg* Project... Parents.
Amity: Oh I see.
Y/N let out a sigh of relief
Gaby: *looks at Y/N* Good parent... Daddy.
Y/N hold body just froze as a crack formed. As Amity heard it, on the outside she was calm...esh, but on the inside she was feeling so much: UNYIELDING RAGE!
Amity: *threatenly* What?
Y/N: Uhh nothing she mean uhh
Zack: At times like these it's best to just... RUUUUN!
Y/N: (AGREED!)
Y/N started to run leaving the two girls alone. Gaby just did a light chuckle as Amity continued to pout at the whole scene.
Gaby: Lucky.
Amity: Huh?
Gaby: Lucky...To have...Him...in life.
Gaby started to walk away to catch up Y/N. Amity was confused for a second but then started to understand what Gabt meant and blushed.
Luke and Viney
Viney: So you meet her in the bat cafe?
Luke: *groans* Yes.
Right now Luke and Viney were walking out the bat queen forest, and Viney was asking Luke a whole bunch of questions... Much to Luke's annoyance.
Viney: I still can't believe you fight against the demon slayer a lot.
Luke: I feel like the slayer enjoy's it more than I thought.
Viney couldn't help but giggle.
Luke: So we saw what I do, what about you?
Viney: What? Oh come on! That can be all you do! What else do you do?
Luke: Sleep. Eat. Read.
Viney: *deadpand look* Seriously?
Luke: What? I don't live an exciting life.
Viney just sighs as she holds the egg as they continue to walk. But Luke started to noticed something.
Luke: Hey. Did we enter another forest or something?
Viney: Huh?
As the two started to look around they noticed they were not outside the bats cave but inside another cave. This one was darker.
Viney: Uhhh how did we get here?
Luke: I don't know.
Luke then turns around and starts walking.
Viney: Hey! Where are you going!?
Luke: Back the way we came. Best way to get out of here.
Viney: Well you could wait for me you know!
Luke: Try to keep up then.
Viney just pout as she caught up to Luke. As the two were walking they heard something that made them turn around.
Viney: What was that?
Luke: I don't know. But whatever it is it, it can't be good.
Viney then held on to Luke.
Luke: Uhhh..
Viney: What? Can you blame me?
Luke just shook his head as he looked around. Again he heard something move. He turned and saw nothing. He then kept looking around and saw nothing, but he felt something that caused his eyes to widen.
Luke: *pushes Viney* Watch out!
Luke pushes Viney out the way as a blast comes out of nowhere from the sky. It ended up missing Viney and Luke and hit the ground destroying it. Luckly Luke ducked into his shadow and came out of it after the blast cleared up.
Viney: What was that!?
Luke: Don't know. But if this thing what's to play hide and seek. *goes into his shadows and smiles* Then I'll play.
Luke then disappears in his shadow leaving Viney alone. Viney started to panic as she looks around. She then hears fighting and blasting coming all over the place. She then hears Luke grunt making her even more worried.
Viney: L-Luke?
Suddenly a figure appeared heading towards Viney. She yelps and avoids it just in time as the figure hit's the wall. Viney looks over and then see's Luke exiting out of a shadow.
Luke: Caught it.
Viney then hits Luke on the head.
Luke: Owwwww! What the hell was that for!?
Viney: Were you trying to kill me?!
Luke: Well excuse mee! I saved your life!
Viney: You almost ended my life!
Suddenly a blast came as the two moved out the way and avoided it. They looked over and saw some kind of beast. It had a pair of large, yellowish-green, cat-like eyes and sharp retractable teeth. It had flaps and aerodynamic fin-like appendages. The tip of the snout is also prominent, resembling the rhinarium of a mammal.
Luke: The hell is that thing!?
Viney: I-It's a nightfury.
The beast known as the nightfury roared at the two and started blasting at them again. Luke used his shadows to move Viney and the egg to saffy as he handle the Nightfury alone.
Viney: Luke!
Luke: Stay there and guard the egg! *glares at the Nightfury* I got this.
The nightfury glared at Luke and shot another blast. Luke uses his demon claw and catches it. The blast explodes in his hand as Luke looks at his hand unimpressed.
Luke: That all?
The Nightfury growls and starts running at Luke. Luke does a battle stance, but was cut off guard when it went into the shadows.
Luke: How did-
Viney: Luke! NIghtfurys are known from traveling through shadows!
Luke was surprised but was cut off guard when he got hit in the gut. The Nightfury exited its shadow, and attacked Luke with his tail. Luke hit a nerby wall as he coughed up blood.
Viney: *worried* Luke!
Luke slid down from the wall. The night fury then charged another roar and was about to blast Luke. Viney, seeing this, quickly tries to run and save Luke, but was surprised of what she saw next. Luke slowly started to get up and looked up at the nightfury, scaring it. Though there was a problem, and it scared her as well, his left eye was fully red and he was smiling sinsterly.
Luke: That the bets you got.
Even though the Nightfury was scared, it still growled at Luke and was about to shoot it's beam, but was stopped when Luke summoned his shadow hands to hold the beast down.
Luke: Looks like that's all. *slowly starts to approached it* How sad. I thought you would put up a better fight then that.
Luke draws a demon claw and lifts his head up about to strike the creature down.
Luke: Welp. Time to end this.
As Luke was about to bring his hand down, Viney stepped in front of him, stopping him.
Viney: Luke stop!
Luke: Move Viney.
Viney: I won't! Please Luke!
Luke: This thing attacked us, why should I let it live?
Viney: The Nightfury is an endangered species! As a beast tamber, I can't let it die!
Luke: So what?
Viney looked at Luke shocked.
Luke: You said it's an endangered species, why not let it join the rest of his kind?
Viney's eyes widen when Luke said that as tears started to fall from her eyes. But there was still determination in them to stop Luke.
Viney: I won't let you kill the Nightfury. If you want to, then you have to kill me too.
Luke just stares at Viney and then the Nightfury. He noticed the thing wasn't even trying to escape, it was watching the scene. The Nightfury then made eye contact with Luke as they stared at each other. Soon the Nightfury closed its eyes and lowered its head. Luke stares at the creature for a second and then puts his claw hand down. Viney looked up at Luke and noticed he had a look of shame.
Luke:...Sorry.
Luke starts to walk away as Viney stays there a bit worried for Luke. She then heard the Nightfury move. She turns around and sees the Nightfury was untied and slowly getting up and slowly approaches Viney.
Luke was currently outside the cave as he looked down at the horizon. As he was looking at the sunset he couldn't help but sigh.
Luke: I lost control again. *puts his hand over his head* Damn it. I can't keep this up.
Little Demon: Then what will you do?
Luke just narrows his eyes.
Little Demon: *smiles* You're thinking about plan "nuclear", aren't you?
Luke was silent as he continued to look at the horizon and then to his hand.
Luke:...To protect them
Little Demon: Would that really though?
Luke was about to respond until he heard someone walking up to him. He turned and saw Viney holding onto the egg.
Luke:...Hey.
Viney: *stops walking and stands in front of Luke* Luke...Is that the reason why you train? Too hurt innocent animals.
Luke: No. It's just... *sigh* You wouldn't understand.
Viney then got irritated.
Viney: *angry* Then let me understand!
This made Luke flinch.
Viney: You always do this Luke! One minute you want people close to you and then the next you push them away! Why Luke!? Why won't you let people help you!? Why won't you-
Luke: *yells* BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO LOSE ANYONE ELSE, OK!?
Viney was flinched from Lukes outburst.
Luke: Do you think I enjoy pushing people away?! Do you think I get a sick kick of playing with people's emotions?! NO I DON'T! I don't even know what I want! Do I want people close to me or do I want them to leave me alone! I don't know! All I know is that I don't want to lose anyone anymore especially if it's by my hands!
There was a moment of silence as Luke was panting heavily.
Little demon:... Mom, dad, please stop fighting.
Viney: L-Luke I
Luke: *Looks away* Save your pity. I don't want it.
Viney: Luke. *puts her hand on top of his* Letting people into your world is scary, cause you don't know what they will do or what could happen, but you can't keep pushing them away, especially if it keeps hurting you so much.
Luke: *looks down* Then what the hell should I do?
Viney: Let them in, tell them what you truly feel.
Luke:...What if I lose them? What if they disappear?
Viney: Even if they're not around anymore, the memories and good times you all shared will still be there. True, losing them will hurt, but you can't let that take control of your life. Keep moving and live for them.
Luke's eyes widened from that as he gave a small smile. A single tear fell from his eye, shocking Viney.
Luke: *wipes his tear* Huh, a little words of encouragement.
Viney just smiled as she hugged Luke, Luke slowly hugged her back. Suddenly they heard a crack as their eyes widened and looked to see the egg started to hatch. Soon the creature came out of the egg and it was a baby Nightfury. The baby Nightfury did a little chirp at the two.
Luke: What the-
Viney: Oh right. You see the reason that Nightfury attacked us is because it saw us with this egg. Turns out it was a Nightfury egg.
Luke:... I began to question where that man got that egg.
Viney just giggled as the bigger Nightfury came out and looked at the two. The two students turned around and looked at the bigger Nightfury. The smaller one walked to the bigger one and chirped at him. The bigger one smiled at him and rubbed his head on it. The bigger one looked at the two and smiled at them he started to talk and said.
Big Night Fury: Take care of him for me.
Soon the Bigger Nightfury started to fade away into the shadows and disappeared. The two were shocked by this.
Luke: Wait a minute was that a spirit this whole time?!
Demon Slayer: You betcha!
Luke's eyes widened as he looked around.
Luke: What the hell!?
Viney: Uh Luke?
Demon Slayer: Like my little test kid?
Luke: Test?
Demon Slayer: Uh-huh. You see when I saw the egg your friend was carrying, I knew right away it was a Nightfury egg! So I wanted you guys to meet an old Nightfury friend I once had! Sadly the old guy wasn't going to last much longer. His one wish was to see another little nightfury before he passed on.
Luke: And you didn't mention this to me because.
Demon Slayer: Expect the unexpected!
Luke just facepalms as Viney just stared at him confused the whole time to who Luke was talking to. Soon the baby Nightfury flew to the two and landed on Luke's shoulder and started rubbing on him.
Viney: Awww I think he likes you.
Luke: I wonder why?
Viney just giggled as the baby Nightfury rubbed on Luke. The scene changes to Luke dropping Viney outside of her house.
Viney: *stretches* What a day am I right?
Luke: Yea, loud and chaotic like most of my days.
Viney just giggled. She then looked at Luke.
Viney: Hey Luke.
Luke: Hm?
Viney: *smiles* Always remember if you need someone to talk to I'm here.
Luke: *small smile* I'll keep you in mind, Viny.
This made Viney light blush as Luke chuckled.
Luke: A little nickname I decided to give you.
Viney: T-Thanks, *sly grin* Lukey *kisses his cheek*.
Luke just lightly blushes and turns his head. Viney couldn't help but giggle as she walked off.
Viney: See ya later Lukey! And heads up you get to see what mommy does next time.~
This made Luke shiver as Viney walked inside.
Luke: I can't tell if she's innocent like Luz or very perverted like Emira.
The Nightfury just chirped and rubbed on Luke.
Luke: Oh right, forgot about you. Well guess you can head home with me. We should give you a name... Ehh screw it I'm calling you Nights
The Nights starts to chirp happily and starts climbing on Luke's head as Luke grunt.
Luke: Hey! Watch the hair!
Luke just sighs and starts heading back to the house.
Luke: I'm having second thoughts now.
Soon the days of the assignment were over and now everyone is in class with their partners. Luke let out a sigh of relief.
Luke: Finally this is over.
Y/N: Come on it wasn't that bad, right?
Luke: Compared to all our other adventures, it was a 7/10.
The nightfury chirps as Luke said that
Luke: No offense to you Nights
Y/N couldn't help but chuckle.
Luz: *speak to the two* Soooo how was the weekend with Viney.
Luke: The first day was... Eventful... The next few days... Well, we're.
Luke turns to Viney as she smiles at him. He then starts to remember.
Luke and Viney were currently in a clothing store as Viney was trying on different clothes. Luke was on the other side with Nights on his head.
Luke: *sigh* I was thinking we would take care of animals or something.
Viney: I'm ready!
The curtain opened and relieved Viney wearing a blue women's lace up strapless denim bandeau sleeveless shirred tube crop tops, annabelle high-rise denim shorts. Wearing some white sneakers with black socks. Luke was quiet as he covered Night's eyes.
Luke: Shield your eyes, Nights.
Viney: *giggles* Your fathers right Nights, *sly grin* Only he gets to see me in this~
Luke: *blushes* (She's just like Emira!)
Flashback ended
Luke:...Want to erase it from my mind.
Y/N and Luz were confused as Viney smiled. Soon the teacher walked inside.
Teacher: Alright Class! Let's see how you did!
The teacher walked around seeing how the students did: Some of them lost their egg, Some cracked it and others straight up ate it.
Teacher: *sigh* Disappointing. Very. Seems most of you students need remedial classes.
Most of the classes just groan.
Teacher: *approaches Gajeel and Luz's egg* Now then- Oh! Mr. Black Steel! Ms. Noceda! Your egg is perfectly fine!
Luz: Yep. Thank Mr. Music over here. I had to stop him from almost killing a guy when they tried to eat it.
Gajeel: You also tried to fry him alive when you used one of your glyphs.
Luz:...Touche.
Luz did a low five as Gajeel slapped it.
Teacher: See that's how you take care of an egg! And it seems you two also started to get along as well! A+!
Gajeel: Wait a minute! Did you plan this!?
Teacher: Now then *walks up to Y/N and Gaby* Next group!
Gajeel: *offscreen* Don't ignore me!
Teacher: Hmm you two did good as well!
Gaby: *points to Y/N* Kept... Egg warm.
Y/N: Well you watched over it.
Teacher: Careful watching and keeping it warm from the cold! Genius! A+
Y/N: Yes! *holds up his hand* Up top!
Gaby stares at his hand confused as Y/N sweet drops.
Teacher: Now then *walks up to Luke and Viney* You two, where is your egg?
Viney: *excited* Well...
Suddenly a chirp came out of Luke's jacket as Nights popped out.
Luke: Don't know why he likes hiding in there.
Teacher: *gasp* COULD IT BE A NIGHTFURY?!
Luke: *sweat drops* (So he didn't know what kind of egg it was?)
Teacher: REMARCABLE! TRULY! CLASS CHANGE OF PLANS! THANKS TO LUKE AND VINEY'S DISCOVERY EVERYONE GETS AN A+!
Luke: How does that-
Viney covers Luke's mouth as the crowd cheers.
Luke: (This schools gonna kill me.)
(A/n A little short I was working on.
So I had Luz and Gajeel partner up so they can clear up the fight between them. It was more so Luz can see Gajeel is a good person and a cool guy to hang out
Luke and Viney was for Viney to understand more about Luke. She sees him from a far and noticed how he acts is strange. So she confronted him about it. Though she somewhat got through to him... The pain of loss is still there for our young half demon. Hopefully he can find it in his hard to let others truly into his heart. Hey but at least he has a little buddy with him now.
Y/N and Gaby... I needed to give Y/N a partner. I always have been a fan of quiet characters. So I made Gaby a quiet one. Though I might go more into detail with her. Like she said she's usually the quiet one in the class. Doesn't care much about groups, and keeps to herself. But if anything she does fine joy when other people are happy more than her own happiness. That's why getting paired with Y/N isn't that bad... Also at times she makes crazy decisions.
