Darkness. There was nothing but darkness all around, far as the eye can see. That was until a familiar dragon boy was seen through it all.

Y/N: *looks around* Where am I?

Y/N tried looking around only to find nothing but darkness. As he continued to look he heard a sound.

Y/N: Fire?

He turned around and as soon as he did his eyes widened from both shock and fear.

Y/N: N-No.

Y/N saw a burning abandoned building that was 6 stories high. The fire was burning the building inside and out. Y/N body froze. He was unable to move and was having a hard time breathing, not due to the fire but due to the panic attack he was experiencing.

Y/N: No. No. No. No. Not this.

Y/N then hears screaming he turns over and sees a past version of himself, screaming in agony with fire surrounding him. The older Y/N was horrified by this, knowing what caused this event. He tries to step back from the memory, or with any luck run away from it... But he ends up bumping into someone.

?: Your fault.

Y/N was hesitant. He didn't want to turn around, but he did anyway. As soon as he did he was meet with a emotionless Luke.

Y/N: L-Luke?

Luke: If I never saved you, if we never meet you...

Luke points his finger to the burning building. Y/N slowly turned around and was scared from what he saw. Tears started to fall from his eyes as he saw the first person he truly cared for, the person he truly loved... Sally. She had a steel beam piercing her stomach, blood dripping from her mouth, and eyes that were lifeless.

Sally: *weakly* ...Y/...N. Bro...ke...pro...misee.

Y/N couldn't stop crying as he fell to his knees and let the tears fall. He held his mouth trying his best not to vomit. He then felt Luke kneel down beside him. He slowly looked at Luke and was horrified by what he saw. Half of Luke's face was the face of slayer and was smiling sinisterly at him. Suddenly everything shattered as Y/N fell into the darkness. Before it was over he heard them say one final sentence.

Luke/Slayer: None of this would have happened.

Y/N's eyes instantly open as he shoots, from his mat, up panting heavily of what he just experienced. He was in a cold sweat as he continued to pant. He looked around and saw that he was back in his room in the owl house. He continue to pant heavily until he heard whimpering. He looked over and saw baby dragon looking at him worried. He wipes the sweat off and picks up the scared baby dragon.

Y/N: H-Hey sorry boy. Did I scare you?

The baby dragon just nozzled his head onto Y/N's shoulder. Y/N smiled and looked over to see Luke still sleeping with Nights watching him. Y/N decided to lay back down. Unknown to him the half demon was still awake. He previously had the same nightmare Y/N had. He was still trying to get his heartbeat back to normal, but was struggling to do so. Nights looked at his father worried.

Luke: (Why? Why now?)

Y/N/Luke: (Why did I have to have that nightmare?)

Theme song

The portal gate opens, as the camera zooms in on it, Y/N, Luz, and Luke are seen in the sky. They slowly start to open their eyes as they realize they are falling. Both Y/N and Luz panic as Luke just looks down with a bored expression. Suddenly something zoomed past and caught the three friends. Both Y/N and Luz open their eyes, Luz behind Y/N holding on to him tight, while Y/N was holding on to the staff, as they were caught by Eda. Luke was at the bottom of the staff hanging on with just one hand. Eda smirked at the friends and flew to her house with her palisman staff.

The door with Hooty opens to reveal the three friends. Luz had Eda staff as she twirled it around and posed, Y/N, that had Zack's sword on his back, held up a fire fist and smirked while doing a pose, and Luke had his arms crossed as he did a little smirk, as he leaned on the door way. Eda then appeared, taking her staff back, with an amusing grin. Luz then gave a sheepish smile as Y/N put his fire fist away and scratched the back of his head letting out a nervous chuckle. Luke just playfully rolled his eyes as he continued to smirk at his friends' antics. King then gets in front of the camera with a pose.

The scene changes to a three frame slot showing Willow, Gus, and Amity. Willow makes a heart with her hands, Gus holds out his arms in celebration, and Amity just ignores, and turns her back, crossing her arms. It then burns away to reveal King, holding a stuffed rabbit, commanding his army of stuffed animals. Suddenly the stuffed animals started to fall on him as some of them fell onto the camera.

The scene changes again to reveal Luke in a dark void. He then holds the necklace around his neck in his hand as he stares at the picture of him and Sally with a sad expression. Behind him was the Little Demon as he stared at him from the black room with a smile on his face to reveal his sharp teeth. Darkness engulfs the camera as we are shown Y/N surrounded by fire with a sad expression. He was holding a fire fist in his left hand and Zack's sword in his right hand. As Y/N looks at them, the fire takes the form of his father and he sees Zack in the reflection of the sword. The fire around him starts to engulf the camera.

The scene then changes with Luz riding on Eda staff, Y/N with fire wings, and Luke with dark wings. They fly around Bonesborough passing by friends and foes. Luz then picks up Eda and King as Y/N and Luke are flying beside them. Suddenly the ground below them starts to rumble and reveals a giant worm creature that lunges right at them. Everyone, minus Y/N and Luke, screams for dear life as they try to hang on to the staff. Y/N and Luke, nod their heads at each other, as they summon darkness and fire in their hands to attack the creature with a battle cry.

The scene changes to the night sky as it slowly comes down to the owl house. The five friends are standing on top of the house. Luz takes out a little ball of light, Y/N summons a small fireball, and Luke holds up a little shadow ball. The three friends share a smile as they send their balls up into the air. The three balls exploded to reveal the title screen.

The Dragon Slayer of the Boiling Isles

Cut to the morning of the owl house. Around the living room were plants all over the place. King was sitting on the couch, watching shows on Luz's phone while eating potato chips. Luz was busy trying to come up with a new spell. She used the plants to find the glyph in the plant. Y/N was watching her from the couch while petting baby dragon who was sitting in his lap. Luke was watching from the otherside of the room with his arms crossed. But the two boys were still lost in thought trying to figure out why they had that nightmare when they're trying to keep the past in the past.

Luz: *draws the plant glyph* Come on work this time.

Luz hits the glyph and a small little blue flower comes out.

Luz: *excited* Yes! *looks at Y/N and King* Check it out guys! My glyph skills are blossoming!

She noticed Y/N didn't say anything and continued to look off into space. Baby dragon noticed this and started to get worried.

Baby dragon: *whimpers* Y/N.

Luz: Y/N!

Y/N: *breaks out of his thoughts* H-Huh? W-What?

Luz: I just did a new spell. I even made a funny joke too.

Y/N: *looks over and notices the plant* O-Oh *smiles* Nice.

Luz: *worried* You ok?

Y/N: Me!? Yea of course! Just a little nightmare that's all.

Luz: Want to talk about it?

Y/N: Uhhhh...

Suddenly the scenes from Y/N nightmare started to play in his head.

Sally: Bro...ke...pro...misee.

Luke/Slayer: None of this would have happened.

Y/N: *shakes his head* I-I'm good! Heheh nothing to worry about.

Luz gives Y/N a worried look.

King: Maybe this will help Y/N. Check this out: Two warriors battling to the death!

King showed Y/N a video of the so-called two warriors... Who turned out to be cats, and for battle more like one of the cats jumped up and fell over.

Y/N: *sweat drops* C-Cool warriors.

King: I know, right!?

Baby dragon: *bark bark* Bit his neck off.

King: See! Even Second-in-command loves it!

Luz: Ah. I see we are getting enough wifi in the portal for more cat videos.

King: Senseless! Violence! Attack! Yes! Death is your god!

Y/N: *looks at Luz* M-Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get him into the internet.

Luz: Y-Yea. Luke did warn me about that. Speaking of *looks over at Luke* Hey Luke!

Luke: *break out of his thoughts* H-Huh?

Luz: You ok? You've been quiet, well quieter than usual.

Luke:...Just. Have a lot on my mind. *walks over* What's up?

Y/N: King has been watching a lot of videos.

Luke:...What kind?

Luz: Cat videos.

King: Hey guys. Did you know the earth is actually flat?

Baby dragon: *bark* It is?! *bark bark* How do you guys not fall?!

There was a moment of silence.

Luke: *looks at Luz* Cat videos, huh?

Luz: *snatches her phone for King* Ooook that's enough of that.

Suddenly both of Luz and Lukes phone went off. Luz looked at her phone and yelped, while Luke looked at his phone and just sighed. On Luz's phone it was a text from her mom: "How's camp today, carino? 3, Mama." and on Lukes phone: "Hope camp has been treading you three good. Please tell me you didn't get into any fights. Love Mom.

Y/N: You ok guys?

Luke: *looks at his phone* Yea just a text from mom.

Meanwhile Luz was looking like she was having a panic attack. She starts texting: First she types "I'm" then erases it and types "It's" then finally decides to send her a thumbs up.

Luz: Good enough.

Y/N: Uhh what?

King: *over Luz's shoulder* She just sent her mom a severed hand.

Y/N:...What?

Luke: He means thumbs up.

Luz falls on the couch and throws a pillow on her face.

Y/N: Uhh Luz?

Luz: *muffles* What am I supposed to tell my mom? *takes the pillow off* Hey mom, me and the boys aren't at camp we are in the demon realm, *walks around* learning magic and other things. Also did you know magic and demons are real? *crouches down* She. Will. End. Me.

Luke: I think you're overreacting. Also other things?

Luz: *looks at Luke* What about you? What would you tell her?

Luke: Simple *types on his phone* "Hey mom, camp is whatever. And don't worry, I haven't beat anyone else up... Yet. Love you" and send. There. Simple.

Y/N: Isn't that lying?

Luke: What she doesn't know, won't hurt her.

King: Luke's right. She'd be freaked out from our world anyway. By keeping the truth from her you're doing her a favor.

Luz: Hm. The demon and half-demon boy by my shoulder is making a good point.

King: Always trust your shoulder demons.

Y/N: I question that.

Luke: (God I have to many bad influencers.)

Suddenly the door opened.

Hooty: Hoot Hoot Hoot! Type to feel up those darling little heads of yours with. *starts to regurgitate books* Delicious knowledge.

Luke: *holds his stomach* One day I'm going to poke when he does that.

Suddenly Willow and Gus appeared on the other side of the doorway.

Gus: Please hurry.

Willow: The more I look at him the more uncomfortable I get.

Hooty: Hoot hoot!

Luke: *sighs and gets up* Let's go.

Y/N: Right behind you *kiss baby dragon on the forehead* See ya later little buddy.

Baby dragon: *bark bark* Be safe.

Y/N and Luke start to walk out as Luz follows behind them.

Luz: *kisses King on the forehead* Don't spend all day watching YouTube, ok?

King: I forge my own path!

Nights got in front of Luke.

Luke: What?

Night gives Luke pleading eyes.

Luke:...I'm not kissing you Nights.

Nights start to whimper.

Luz: Come on Luke. One kiss won't hurt.

Luke just glares at Luz but then hears Nights sniffle.

Luke: *groans* Fiiiiine.

Luke kisses Nights on his forehead making the Nightfury smile in joy as he ran over to watch videos with King and baby dragon. Luke sighs and saw the others giving him a smile with stars in their eyes.

Luke:...One word and I'll punch all of you.

The group giggle/chuckle and began there walk to hexside.

As the group made it to hexside and finished going to their lockers they noticed something different. The students and teacher started setting up balloons and streamers around the place. There were also some people holding hands and having their arms around others.

Luz: Somethings different today?

Y/N: Yea. *looks around* What's with all the decorations?

Luz: Oh right.

Y/N: Uhh what were you thinking?

Luz... *embarrassed* I thought they all had haircuts.

Y/N was quiet but then started to chuckle making Luz blush in embarrassment.

Luz: H-Hey, not funny.

Y/N: *Slowly stops chuckling* S-Sorry. Hehe.

Luz pouts from that. Suddenly, two masked health workers enter, rolling a stretcher, making siren noises.

Worker: Outta the way!

The workers surround a beast-keeping student with dark skin, blond hair that covers his eyes, and big, pointy ears similar to a bat. Skara looks on.

Worker: Come with us immediately! Your disease—it's advancing!

They help him onto the stretcher.

Bat Boy: Is there a cure, doc?

Worker: *menacingly* Only one... *cute face* finding the perfect date to Grom!

Bat Boy: If that's the cure... then, Skara, will you go to Grom with me?

He holds out a beating heart, with "GROM?" written on it in red ink.

Skara: Ahhhhh! Of course I will, or whatever!

She hugs him, and onlooking students and teachers cheer.

The group stood there as boy Y/N and Luz watched in shock.

Y/N: That was something.

Luke: Better than what I got.

The group turned around and saw Luke dripping some kind of red liquid all over his clothes and body.

Y/N: Uhhh Luke?

Luz: Did you kill someone!?

Luke: *irritated* No. But I'm about to.

Gus: What happened?

Luke went to go to his locker and as soon as he opened it the locker shot out some red liquid that sent him flying into a wall. It lasted for a while until it died down. Luke slid down on the floor and started to spit whatever it was out from his mouth.

Luke:...My mouth was opened.

He then heard his lockers started to cough up something.

Luke:...Please don't be a backlash.

It soon coughed it out and it was a note that said: "Please go to grom with me"

Luke:...I would much rather kill you instead.

Luke: That's how that happened.

The group couldn't help but giggle/chuckle but stopped as Luke did a death glare at them.

Luke: *sigh* So you have a weird version of prom here?

Luz: Me and Y/N were kicked out of our prom.

Y/N: The teachers didn't understand our vision.

Luke: You two dressed up as an otter and a dragon.

Y/N/Luz: So!

Luke: You used a lighter and a spray can to breath fire. And nearly burned down the school.

Both Y/N and Luz started to sweat and chuckled nervously remembering those events.

Luz: A-Anyway maybe I can be this year's prom queen *looks at Y/N* and you can be the King.

Y/N: *blushes* Y-Yea.

Willow: *cringes* Thaaaats not usually what people sign up for.

Luke: Annnnd here comes the weird catch.

Y/N: Huh? How come?

Before Willow could answer Y/N was bumped into someone. He turns around and sees a familiar green haired witch.

Amity: *angry* Watch it nitweet! *notices who's she's talking to* Oh Y/N!

Y/N: Y-Yea *anime crying* No need for name calling. I'm sorry.

Amity: *panics* N-No! No! Sorry I didn't-

Luke: Geez mittens. What got you so wild up?

Amity glared at Luke as he did a sly smile.

Luke: Keep looking at me like, Blight, I might get the wrong impression.

Amity continues to glare at Luke as Y/N gets in between them.

Y/N: A-Anyway let me help you clean this up.

Y/N picks up Amity books and hands them to her. She takes them and smiles. She noticed he was holding her note making her jolt.

Y/N: Oh right your no-

Before Y/N could finish Amity snatches it from him.

Luz: Wow. You got some quick grabbers.

Amity: S-Sorry Sorry. It's just private.

Y/N: No no I get it. Don't want to intrude on your privacy.

Luke: (What about mine?)

Suddenly the intercam came on

Bump: Attention Hexisde students! This is your principle speaking!

Gus: Oh man this is it.

Willow: He's announcing who's going to be this years Grom royalty.

Everyone was curious on who it was going to be.

Bump: This year I have the privilege to announce our grom honor to... Y/N Dragneel! Our grom King!

Everyone was shocked and looked at Y/N, while Y/N himself was shocked himself.

Y/N: M-Me?

Amity: *tries to force a smile* Congratulations Y/N.

Luz: Wow! Alright Y/N!

Luke: Wow you actually won something.

Y/N: *smiles* Yea I did. *gets excited* Alright I'm the King!

Luke: Please don't let it go to your head.

As the group was celebrating they started to notice the murmurs that were going around.

"It's the Dragneel."

"You think he'll make it?"

"Hopefully he won't die."

Y/N: Uhhh not the reaction I was going for.

Willow: Let's just say grom is a big job.

Luke: Job?

The scene cuts to Bump in the Gym. Students are setting up decorations while Principal Bump oversees. The Snaggleback is hanging from the ceiling by a rope and spinning.

Principal Bump: Very good. Lower the streamers, fill the punch bowl, and—how's my disco ball?

Snaggleback: *spinning* Nauseous.

Principal Bump: Great. Just keep it up for 36 more hours.

Bump sees Y/N and his friends walking up to him.

Bump: Aahh theres our grom King.

Y/N: *smiles* hehe Yep.

Luke: An idiot like always.

Y/N: Ok, did you have to be hurtful?

Luke: Yes.

Bump: Mr. Martins you have uhh

Luke: Plant on my head? Yea I noticed.

On Luke's head was a random plant biting on top of it. Luke tried to get it off but it would hiss at him and almost bite off one of his fingers.

Bump: Well ok then. *looks at Y/N* Now then Mr. Dragneel, are you ready for grom?

Y/N: *pumps* Heck yea! I can't wait!

Bump: You know your father was also grom King as well.

Y/N: O-Oh really?

Bump: Yes! In fact he was one of the best I've seen.

Y/N: O-Oh *looks down sadly* Nice.

Luke: (You just had to bring down his mood didn't you, Bump?)

Luz walked over and put a hand on Y/N's shoulder to cheer him up. Bump notices this and decides to change the topic.

Bump: In anycase, if it makes you feel better you weren't my first pic.

Y/N: I wasn't!?

Bump: Truth be told, I had another student line up to take on Grom, but they deciland and put you in her stand.

Y/N: I see.

Bump: Welp anyway best of luck to you Mr. Dragneel.

Bump starts to walk off leaving the group.

Luke: These people really need to work on their encouraging talk.

Y/N: Damn. So I was just a second pic.

Luz: Hey. Look on the bright side you are going to nail it as grom King.

Y/N looked over at Luz and saw her smiling.

Luz: *nudges him* Come on.

Y/N couldn't help but smile from Luz's enthusiasm.

Luz: There's the smile.

Y/N: Thanks Luz. I'm going to kill it as grom king. Maybe I might get a queen.

Luz: *mutters* Hopefully me.

Y/N: You say something Luz?

Luz: *blushes* Nothing! A-Anway let's look around.

Luz starts to run around the gym while Y/N walks over to follow her. He noticed Luke walking to the benches.

Y/N: You coming, Luke?

Luke: Nah. I'ma sit over here and rest. I can feel this thing piercing through my skull.

Luke starts to walk away leaving a sweat dripping Y/N. Y/N walks over to Luz standing beside a red button.

Y/N: What's that?

Luz: Only one way to find out.

Luz pushes the button and suddenly the ground starts to shake. The ground started to split open to reveal an underground battlefield connected by a ramp. Suddenly several weapons appeared on both sides of Y/N and Luz.

Y/N: Uhh what?

Luz: So it's a Medievial torture theme.

Y/N: Honestly not really surprising. But who are we to judge?

Amity: *offscreen* They're not for decoration.

The two friends turned around and saw Amity walking up to them.

Amity: This arena is for when the Grom King or Queen makes their debut.

Y/N: Uhh so do I have to dance with someone down there orrr...

Suddenly a noise was heard from down below. Both Y/N and Luz looked down and saw some kind of creepy black goo moving around and growling. It shot up for a second and then disappeared. This made Y/N and Luz jolt.

Luz: Uhhh what was that?

Amity: That was grom. Short for Grometheus, the Fear-Bringer.

Luke: *offscreen* And there's the creepy catch!

Amity: It's a monster that lives under the school.

Amity draws a spell circle showing past events of grom

Amity: Every year it tries to break out and a student has to defeat it before it invades the town. Ever the optimist Bump holds a party and calls it tradition.

Back to Amity

Amity: The worst thing is that Grom can read minds and shape-shift into your worst fear.

Luke: *offscreen* Again: What the hell is wrong with this place!?

Y/N: Huh. Ok then. I can see why Bump's first choice didn't want to do this.

Amity: *rubs her arm* Actually I was Bump's first choice.

Y/N: Wait what?

Amity: I'm sorry Y/N for not telling you. Bump cam up to me and wanted me to fight Grom, but I backed out and I could only think of one other person... You.

Y/N: Well I guess I should ask, why?

Amity: My fear... Is pretty embarrassing.

Y/N: Well I will say I am a little mad for you not telling me.

Amity looks down sadly

Y/N: But I still will take your place.

Amity: *looks up at him* Really?

Y/N: Heck yea! We're friends after all!

Amity couldn't help but smile.

Y/N: Amity Blight I promise that I will beat Grom in your stand.

Amity: *lightly blushes* Thanks Y/N.

Luke watches this from his seat and just smiles.

Luke: Always playing the hero act.

Suddenly the plant on Luke's head started to screech. Luke looked up and saw it fall down. He caught it and saw it slowly started to wither away. As it disappears it leaves a note: "Will you go to Grom with me?"

Luke:...What happened to just giving a note to someone in person?

Little Demon: Sad isn't it?

Luke: *sigh* What do you want?

Little Demon: Oh nothing. *looks over at Y/N* Look at him, trying to be a hero.

Luke looked over at Y/N and saw him with a smile on his face.

Little Demon: Word of advice kid, don't go to grom.

Luke: What?

Little Demon: Trust me. You'll regret it if you do. You'll end up just like that little plant creature .

Suddenly the demon disappeared and Luke just looked back at Y/N and the others. As he continued to look he failed to notice something in the air. It crashed on him breaking the benches the others looked over and saw Luke getting out groaning in pain. He looked down and saw whatever crashed on him disappeared. He then looked over and saw a note covered in saliva with the words: "Will you please go to grom with me?"

Luke:... I swear to god, if I found whoever is sending me these *yells* I will murder them!

The three looked at Luke and sweat nervously.

Luz: So uh *looks at Amity* Is there any way we can get Y/N ready for this?

Amity: I have an idea. I'll meet you all at the owl house.

Amity walked out leaving the group alone. Luke walked up to them cracking his back.

Luke: She's gotten surprisingly nicer.

Luz: Sure beats her hating us.

Y/N: Agreed.

Demon: *offscreen* I think I'm going to puke!

Luke: Alright. *walks away* I'm out.

Luke starts to walk out the gym as the others follow him.

At the owl house. The group walked inside and were greeted by baby dragon and Nights.

Luz: We're ba-

Eda: *offscreen* Ow! Watch the pins!

Luke: That doesn't sound good.

The group walked over to Edas room and saw her wearing a brown suit. King looked like she was helping her.

Eda: Careful with those pins!

King: Why am I doing this!? I don't even wear clothes!

Luz: Wow! Sweet duds owl lady!

Luke: *raises an eyebrow* Why a suit?

Eda: I'm chaperoning grom tonight. So I gotta look sharp.

King: And Gus asked me to co-emcee the fight. *holds up a poster* We're going to turn this blood-bath into a fun-bath!

Eda: Oh! Have they announced the victim yet?

Luke: *points to Y/N* Right there.

Eda: What!? *whines* Oh come on!

Y/N: Uhh thanks, I guess? Well it was originally Amity but-

Eda: She bribed you into taking her place.

Y/N: What!? No! She asked me to and I said yes!

Luke: More like, told you at the last second.

Y/N: *Sweat drop* Y-Yea that.

Eda: Well make her go back. It was her position first. Let her deal with it.

Y/N: Eda come on. I fought tough monsters

Luke: *offscreen* We fought a monster

Y/N: took on Gajeel

Luke: *offscreen* Barely survived.

Y/N: and conquered a dungeon.

Luke: *offscreen* Almost died

Y/N: I'm pretty sure I can handle a monster that shows me my worst fear.

Eda: Kid listen, ow, most of those times you had me or your friends to watch your back. Ow! This time you're truly on your own. Ow! And besides, what's the fun in watching a kid get eaten by a monster if it's one of my kids?

Luke: That's one way to look at it.

Y/N looked down with his hair covering his eyes.

Y/N: Eda. I promised Amity that I would do this and I won't break my promise. *mutters* Never again.

The only person that heard that last part was Luke, and he looked at Y/N with a little bit of sadness.

Eda: Ugh, fine. Just do your hero thing or whatever.

Y/N sighed and walked away as Luz and Luke followed after him.

King: Maybe you were a little tough, I mean all three of them are pretty tough.

Eda: He's going against Grom King. Grom! *walks up and looks at the mirror* Even his father, Igneel, had trouble fighting him.

Igneel was panting heavily, holding his left arm in pain. He had blood dripping down from his left side of his face down his eye as he had his left eye closed. Eda was watching from her seat worried for her boyfriend.

Eda: *worried* Igneel.

Igneel glared at Grom, with his right eye, as Grom slowly started to change his shape into a tall figure.

?: You'll never beat the real me. *sinnisterly* Dragneel.

King: *confused* Never beat the real me?

Eda: To this day, I still don't know what Grom meant by that. But I do know this, I don't want the kid to go through the same thing his pops went through.

King: *worried* Eda.

Eda: But anyway, do you think I pulled this off?

King: Girl you can pull off anything!

In Y/N and Luke's room

Y/N was currently trying to pick out a suit to wear.

Y/N: *thinks* What to wear? *looks at the keychain* What do you think Zack?

Nothing. Y/N lets out a sigh. Ever since he came back from Willow's memories Zack never came out to talk to him. Heck he hasn't teased him about sticking up for Amity to battle grom for her.

Y/N: What's going on? Why haven't you appeared to talk to me?

Suddenly Hooty stretches to Y/N face.

Hooty: Guess who has a visiter?

Y/N: *chuckles* Thanks Hooty. *gently pushes him* But you really need to learn about personal space.

Y/N sees the door open and sees Amity walking in with feathers in her hair.

Amity: If that bird-tube ever talks to me again, I'm going to destroy it.

Y/N: *sweat drops* Y-Yea Hooty can be a little... Much. But he means well.

Amity: Anyway, are you ready to train?

Y/N: Yea, just trying to choose what to wear.

Amity: Y/N focus! If you can't defeat grom everyone has to live out their worst fears

Hooty: *gets in Amity's face* Want to know what my worst fear is.

In Luz's room.

Luz was in her room, She had finished deciding what dress to wear and was currently writing a note.

Luz: Is it too mushy? Maybe not mushy enough? Too classy? Agh! Why is this so difficult!?

Luke: *offscreen* Having trouble there?

Luz yelps and turns to see Luke standing outside her door frame.

Luz: Luke! You scared me!

Luke: Eh I do that. So you decided what to wear yet.

Luz: Yep!

Luke: Please don't tell me it's an otter costume.

Luz: Nope! You'll see when the time comes. *smiles*

Luke: *rolls his eyes* What were you doing anyway?

Luz: *blushes and waves her arms around* Oh uhh you see I was just uhhh

Luke raises an eyebrow as Luz sighs.

Luz: I was writing a Grom note.

Luke: Let me guess Y/N?

Luz nods her head with a blush on her face. Luke just chuckles.

Luz: H-Hey don't laugh!

Luke: Sorry Sorry. It's just a little funny.

Luz pouts but then they heard the sound of punching and screaming.

Hooty: *offscreen* HOOT HOOT!

Y/N: *offscreen* Amity! Calm down! Don't! Stop! Amity!

Luke: Sounds like Hooty pissed Amity off.

Luz: We have to help him!

Luke: Do we have to?

Luz: Luke!

Luke: I'm kidding... Mostly.

The scene cuts to everyone outside with Emira and Edric. Luz and Luke were sitting down and looked over at Hooty, who had an eyepatch on his eye.

Luz: Esh. Remind me not to get on her bad side.

Luke: Eh. I've seen worse.

Amity: Grom will transform into your darkest fears. *looks at Y/N* What are you afraid of, Y/N?

Y/N had to pause and think about it.

Edrci: Wanna know our greatest fears? On three One, two, three...

Edric/Emira: Being alone forever./Being stuck with you forever.

Edric looks down sadly.

Luke: (Geez women. Can you be any more mean?)

Y/N: Well I have one: Being called a freak.

Emira and Edric nodded their heads and cast a spell circle around Y/N. Around him were a group of people calling him "Freak" over and over again. Y/N starts to get annoyed and takes out his sword and starts slashing them away. Luz cheers Y/N on but Amity and Luke notices something. Y/N wasn't really afraid of them calling him a freak, he was more like annoyed by it. Eventually Y/N finishes slashing them away and puts his sword away.

Y/N: That wasn't so hard.

Amity: *walks up to him*Not good enough!

Y/N: *confused* Huh?

Amity: Y/N. The reason I can't face Grom goes much deeper than things that just gross me out or annoy me. What is your real fear Y/N?

Y/N thought for a second until the death of Sally appeared in his head.

Y/N: *nervously* A-Actually I might not need to train.

This shocked everyone, exceptted for Luke, though Amity wasn't convinced.

Amity: Y/N.

Y/N: Come on Am. I can handle this.

Amity: Y/N! This is different from just some silly fight! You need to be ready!

Y/N: I am ready!

?: No you aren't!

Everyone turns and sees Eda.

Y/N: Eda!?

Eda: *walks up to Y/N* Look kid, you can train your body as much as you want, you can say you can handle anything all you want, but you can face grom!

Y/N: *angry* Well why not!?

Eda: Kid listen to me, Grom is something not even Igneel could barely do.

Y/N: So what!? Just because he couldn't I can't! Well I can and I will! I promised I would!

Eda: Ugh! Why are you being so stubborn!? There is nothing wrong with backing out! Forget your silly promise already!

Y/N eyes widen with shock but then change to anger.

Y/N: *yells* I WON'T! I SWORE THAT I WOULD NEVER BREAK ANOTHER PROMISE AGAIN!

This made everyone flinch from Y/N out bursted.

Y/N: *squeezes his hands* The last time I broke a promise *looks at Eda with his eyes glowing red* WAS WHEN THE FIRST PERSON I EVER LOVED DIED!

This made everyones minus Lukes eyes widen when they heard that. Y/N started to breathe heavily.

Luz: *worried* Y/N.

Luke had enough and got up.

Luz: *looks at Luke* L-Luke.

Luke walked over to Y/N and stopped in front of him.

Luke: You still can't let it go, huh?

Amity: Let it go?

Luke: Y/N *touches Y/N shoulder* The past is in the past.

Y/N looks up at Luke and slaps his hand away.

Y/N: The past is in the past. Don't give me that shit!

Everyone just stared at Y/N with shock and worry.

Y/N: All you ever say is the past is in the past! But not even you let the past go!

Luke: *glares* Huh?

Y/N: Don't "huh" me! You and me both know it's true!

Luke grabs Y/N by the collar and pulls him towards his face.

Luz: *gets up and runs over to them* Ok guys lets come down!

Luke: Stay out of this Luz. Bastard. What are you implying?

Y/N: It's like I said. You keep telling me to let go and forget what happened those years ago... But you yourself haven't.

Luke continues to glare at Y/N

Y/N: You make it sound so easy, drop what happened and move on. Almost like you don't really care about what happened to her.

Luke's eyes widen and in a flash he punches Y/N in the face sending the young dragon slayer tumbling on the ground. Everyone was shocked of what just happened.

Amity: Y/N!

Amity ran over to Y/N to check if he was ok.

Eda: *looks at Luke* Kid! Have you lost your mind!?

Edric: Luke!

Emira: Why would you do that!?

Luke didn't say anything as he looked over at Y/N. Amity bend over and try to help Y/N up.

Amity: Y/N are you o-

He wipes some blood of his mouth

Luke: Get up.

Y/N looks over at Luke with a glare. Luke glared back at him

Luke: Seems this training method is too easy for you, so why don't I step in?

Y/N stands up and walks over to Luke. The two glared at each other. Luz then runs up in the middle of the two.

Luz: Listen guys! I don't know what's going on! But-

Y/N/Luke: Move.

Both Y/N and Luke shoved Luz out the way. Luz looked at the two and saw them glaring at each other, with their fist raise ready to strike each other.

Y/N/Luke: YOUR IN THE WAY!

Both boys launched their fists with full force. Both of them hit each other in the face spitting up blood in the process.

The two looked at each other, glared, and started to throw multiple punches at one another. Everyone watched in shock, especially Luz who had seen them fight before but never like this. It was almost like a fight to the death.

Luz: *shakes* Stop.

Both teens were holding their hands together squeezing them, and both their heads crashing against each other, growling at one another.

Luke: *grunts* I don't give a damn about what happened? *pushes Y/N* Do you honestly believe that, fatherless child?

Y/N: *grunts* Hard for me not to. *pushes Luke* Coming from the edgy Sisterless child.

The two continue to hold each other back making the ground shake. Everyone in view started to either lose their balance or fall over.

Luz: Guys! Please stop!

Soon Y/N had enough and punched Luke right in the face. Luke slid back and spitted the blood out.

Luke: (Why?)

Luke ran up and kneed Y/N in the stomach.

Y/N: (Why?)

Y/N spat up more blood and head butted Luke chin making him recoil.

Y/N/Luke: (Why?)

Luke then kicked Y/N in the face causing him to be sent flying into a tree. Y/N slowly got up and glared daggers at Luke as Luke did the same. The two looked up at each other panting. But one thing was on their mind:

Y/N/Luke: (Why are we fighting?)

The two didn't get why they were fighting. Was it because of the insults, was it because they always hated each other, or...

Y/N: Let's get serious *summons fire in his right hand*

Luke: I'm ready when you are. *summons his demon claw* Since you have so much trouble letting go of the past *eyes glow dark red* then allow me to send you to the past

Once Luke said that everyone started to become scared.

Edric: H-He's not serious is he?

Emira: Are they really...

Amity: Going to kill each other

The two glared at each other, for once point of view they would see anger and rage, but if you look closely you can see they both had: Sadness, regrets, and most of all pleading eyes of forgiveness. The two boys started to advance towards each other, letting out a battle cry getting closer and closer to each other. Until..

Everyone: ENOUGH!

Y/N was being held back by Eda, Luz, and Amity. Amity was holding his right arm, Luz was holding his left, and Eda was holding his torso. While Luke was being held back by Edric, Emira, and Nights. Edric was holding back his left arm, Emira was holding Luke's right, and Nights was using his shadow to hold Lukes torso.

Eda: *struggles* Have you both lost your minds!?

Edric: *struggles* This isn't how friends are supposed to act!

Luke: *struggles* Let go damn it!

Y/N: I'm going to finish this!

Amity: Finish what!?

Emira: What exactly do you two need to finish!?

Y/N/Luke: This damn fight!

Luz: *cries* Do you two even know what you're even fighting about?!

There was a bit of silence, other than the sounds of the others trying to stop the two from fighting each other.

Luz: *tears falls from her eyes* You two are my best friends! You're each other's best friends! So why, why the hell are you two fighting?!

Again there was silence until Y/N started to speak

Y/N: I know exactly why we're fighting! It's because he let go of the past!

Luke: *angry* Are you a dumbass?! You really think I've let go!

Y/N: Of course I do! You always keep saying put it behind us! Almost like you don't care about it anymore!

Luke: Only because I don't want it to control our lives! I want us to continue moving forward!

Y/N: Then why!? Why do you keep giving me that look?! The look of pity then?! Everytime you look at me you look like you pity me!

Luke: Only because you do the same to me! You pretty much asked me to beg you for forgiveness!

Y/N: You're the one that does that! All I want is your forgiveness!

Luke: I already forgave you, you moron!

Y/N: I did the same for you, idiot!

Luke and Y/N continue to glare at each other until they start to growl. Soon their hair shadowed their eyes.

Luke: Then why!?

Y/N: Why!?

Luke/Y/N: *looks at each other with tears falling from their eyes* WHY THE HELL ARE WE FIGHTING?!

The two started to pant heavily and looked at each other in sadness. Eventually the two dissummon their spells and stopped resisting. The other let go of them as the two teens fell on their knees looking at one another. Neither one of them had anything to say, or more like they didn't know what to say to each other. Y/N slowly started to get up and held his gut in pain.

Amity: *worried* Y/N.

Y/N: I'm...

Y/N couldn't say anything. I mean what could he say, He was fine, nothing to worry about, I'm ok. All of that would be a lie. He decided to head back into the house. He weakly walked back inside passing Luke. The two didn't say anything as Y/N walked passed. They both kept their mouths shut as their hair covered their eyes. Y/N walked past Luke and the twins and went inside the house, with baby dragon following behind him, as he entered and headed up to his and Luke's room. Luke looked down the whole time trying to process what happened. The group looked at Luke with worry until they heard Luz walking up to him. Luz stopped in front of him and kneel down to eye level.

Luz: Luke.

Luke looked up and for a brief second he saw Sally but that lasted a second as it went back to Luz.

Luke: Luz. (Sally.)

Luz: Please. I want to help you two. What happened that caused all this?

Eda: We all want to help you kid.

Luke then felt two hands on his shoulder. He saw the twins giving him a worried look. He then heard Amity walk up and stood beside Eda.

Luke:... It was the time my mother took Y/N in. It was new for Y/N, he had to get used to being part of the family. When he did Y/N ended up meeting Sally. When the two meet, you could say it was love at first sight. *small smile* Kids love, but still the same. The two cared deeply for each other.

A scene shows both Y/N and Sally running around laughing near a lake. Another scene shows them climbing a tree pretending to swing. Another scene showed them watching the stars as Sally fell asleep in Y/N arm as the young dragon slayer blushed.

The group was shocked to hear this and continued to listen.

Luke: Sally...was the first girl Y/N truly loved.

Luz: ...What happened?

Luke frown as he started to remember some events

Luke: One day Y/N fire got out of control, it was too much for him to handle. Sally did her best to try to help him... But

Suddenly the flashes of a burning building, Sally getting pierced, and Luke crying while holding his dead sister started to play in his head. Luke gripped his head with his hand.

Luz: Luke!

Luke: ...I'm sorry. I *sigh* It hurts to remember.

Luke gets up and holds his head. He then starts to walk away as the others watch.

Luke: *stops walking* All I can say Sally's death is the reason why me and Y/N are like this. In a way you could say losing her is our greatest fear.

Luke then starts walking deeper into the forest leaving the group alone. Luz wanted to go after him but Eda stopped her.

Eda: Let's leave him alone kid. *looks up at the window* Both of them.

Luz was hesitant but decided to. Whatever happened most have been really painful for them.

Emira: We should go.

Edric: Yea. See you guys at grom.

Luz: Yea see ya later.

Amity on the other hand was looking down the whole time. Part of her was feeling guilty from all this almost like it was-

Emira: Mittens.

Amity looked up and saw her twins calling out to her.

Edric: We got to go.

Amity: O-Oh yea right.

Amity runs and catches up to her siblings as they head out leaving the owl house.

With Luke

Luke was sitting near the edge of the cliff looking at the horizon. He started to think about the fight he had with Y/N.

Y/N: You make it sound so easy, drop what happened and move on. Almost like you don't really care about what happened to her.

Luke: I do make it sound easy, don't I?

?: Yes you do.

Luke turns and sees the demon watching the sunset with him.

Luke: In case you don't get the memo, I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now.

Little Demon: Well I am, so deal with it.

Luke just rolled his eyes and looked at the sunset.

Little Demon: A little fall out between friends. Happens to the best of us.

Luke was silent.

Little Demon: Don't go to Grom kid.

Luke: This again.

Little Demon: You think that if Y/N faces his fear that means you can get over yours.

Luke grunted in response.

Little Demon: Let me warn you, that's not going to work. All you'll be doing is hurting yourself. So head my warning *starts to fade away* Don't go.

The demon disappears leaving Luke alone. Luke looks at the sunset and grips his hand angrily. He then looks down, his hair covers his eyes, as tears start to fall from his eyes.

With Y/N

Y/N was in his and Luke's room looking down. He was sitting near the widow looking at the sunset. Baby dragon was on his lap worrying about his master. Y/N starts to remember his and Luke's fight and the words they said to each other.

Y/N: Then why!? Why do you keep giving me that look?! The look of pity then?! Everytime you look at me you look like you pity me!

Luke: Only because you do the same to me! You pretty much asked me to beg you for forgiveness!

Y/N: You're the one that does that! All I want is your forgiveness!

Luke: I already forgave you, you moron!

Y/N: I did the same to you, idiot!

Y/N: If that's true then... Why are we like this?

Y/N leans back and starts to drift to sleep.

Y/N: I'm so... Tired.

Y/N shuts his eyes and goes to sleep.

Suddenly Y/N was in a red area. He looks around and sees nothing until.

Slayer: Hey there kid.

Y/N: *sighs with his back turn* What do you want?

Slayer: Keh Keh Keh. No need to be so cold, kid. I saw that little fall out you had with your friend there.

Y/N just grunts.

Slayer: Word of advice kid: Quit while you can.

Y/N: *turns around* What?

Slayer: You're not ready to face your fear kid.

Y/N: Oh great you too! Listen I

Slayer: Made a promise. But you know promises and swears always end up getting broken.

Y/N glared at Slayer.

Slayer: I've seen people like you kid. Always making a promise, always swearing an oath, but in the end it always gets broken.

Y/N had enough and threw a fireball at Slayer, but Slayer simply caught it and crushed it. Slayer looked at Y/N and saw his eyes red.

Y/N: Shut it! I'm different than those before me!

Slayer:...keh keh. Keh Keh. KEH KEH KEH KEH! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Slayer started to bursted into laughter making Y/N even more angry.

Y/N: STOP LAUGHING!

Y/N floated to Slayers face in an attempt to punch him but Slayer disappeared. Slowly Y/N started to fall to an endless dark abyss.

Slayer: Farwell, brat.

Y/N woke up in a cold sweat and looked around and saw it was nighttime. Y/N looked down and saw baby dragon still sleeping, but was whimpering. Y/N rubbed the baby dragons back. He didn't notice but he had tears falling from his eyes.

Y/N: I swear... I won't break another promise.

With Amity

Amity was sitting on her bed with her head buried on her legs. She couldn't stop thinking about what had happened with Y/N and Luke.

Amity: *tears falling from her eyes* I'm such a coward.

The next night

It was the night for Grom night. Everyone was getting ready for the Night. Luke was currently in the bathroom getting dressed. Since him and Y/N had a bit of a fight he slept on the couch... Being annoyed by Hooty. Luke looked at himself in the mirror. He was wearing the same outfit he wears in the black room.

Luke: If it ain't broke don't fix it. Is the old saying.

Little Demon: Don't you look dashing?

Luke looked up at the mirror and saw the demon but he was a black and white version of himself.

Luke: *sigh* What do you want?

Luke?: Oh come now just wanted to say you look good.

Luke: Don't you mean we?

Luke?: *gasp* Aww you do remember we're the same.

Luke: *glares* I'm not you.

Luke?: *sigh* But won't accept that fact.

Luke just continues to glare.

Luke?: So you're really going aren't you?

Luke: That a problem?

Luke?: Yes. Last chance kid, stay home and you won't regret it.

Luke: I'll take my chances.

Luke?: *shrugs his shoulders* Eh, don't say I didn't warn ya. People's biggest regrets are when the regret happens in that moment.

The demon disappears leaving Luke alone showing him a reflection of himself. Luke just sighs and heads out the door. He begins to walk downstairs and sees Luz, Eda, and King. Eda was wearing the same brown suit as before, King was wearing a tie, and Luz was wearing a white button-down under a black blazer with purple accents, purple leggings, brown boots, and a pink tutu skirt.

Luz: Oh hey Luke.

Eda: *whistles* Sweet dudes Kid. Where'd you get'em?

Luke: Made them with my shadow.

King: Wait, does that mean you're just walking around naked?

Luke:...No.

There was a brief silence as Luke sighed. He started heading out the door.

Luz: Wait! Don't you want to come with us?

Luke: *stops walking* Me and Y/N are still...

Luz: Oh *looks down sadly* Right.

Luke looks over and sees a sad Luz.

Luke: I'm pretty sure after tonight we'll be talking to each other in no time.

Luz looked up and couldn't help but smile a little.

Luke: See ya.

Luke heads out the door and walks out a little.

Luke: Hey Nights.

Nights get out of Luke's shadow and barks at him.

Luke: Yea yea I know. I just don't feel like flying right now. Lead me a hand?

Nights barks as Luke gets on top of him as the two fly off. Luke looks back at the house and then looks back forward with a sigh. He hears Night bark.

Luke: Yea yea I know. Running from my problems won't help. I just don't want him to think about our fight and focus on fighting Grom.

Nights: *bark*

Luke: It's not an excuse.

Night: *bark*

Luke just sighs as him and Nights continue to fly off to the school.

Back at the owl house

Y/N was putting his suit on. He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled.

He frowned, looked down, and sighed. He then looked over to his sleeping back and saw Zack's necklace and picks it up with a sad look.

Y/N: You haven't come out at all. I could really use some words of encouragement right now.

Nothing.

Y/N: *sighs* Where are you Zack?

Luz: *offscreen* Y/N! Hurry! We're going to be late!

Y/N: Right! Coming!

Y/N puts the necklace around his neck and walks out the room. He then walks downstairs and sees the others.

Y/N: Sorry. I Was getting ready.

Eda: *whistle* Looking nice kid.

Y/N: *chuckles and rubs his head* Thanks.

King: What do you think Luz?

Everyone looks over at Luz and notices she was staring at Y/N with a blush on her face. She was so busy admiring Y/N in a black suit with a white button up shirt. He was also wearing f/c pants and f/c shoes.

Y/N: Uhh Luz?

Luz: *breaks out of her thoughts* H-Huh?

Y/N: You ok?

Luz: *blushes* O-Oh yea! I-I'm fine.

Y/N: Oh ok. What do you think?

Luz: *daze* You look hot.

Y/N: *blushes* R-Really?

Luz: *panics* Uhh no! I mean yes! I-I mean of course! I-I mean

Both Eda and King couldn't help but laugh from this.

Eda: Ok that's enough flirting you two.

King: We got a fight to get too.

Both teens nod their heads with blushes on their faces. The group started heading out to Hexside.

Cut to Hexside

Luke was the first to arrive. As soon as he walked in he looked around and saw students already dancing. He sees people chatting with one another enjoying themselves and having a good time. He noticed that music was playing, as if the instruments were literally playing themselves.

Luke: That's not weird at all.

He then sees Willow doing a spell. She goes around each student putting flowers on their clothes.

Luke: *small smile* Nice.

He starts to walk around and tries to enjoy the night. A little while later Y/N and the others showed up too.

Y/N: Guess I should go find Amity.

King: Good Luck Y/N!

Eda didn't say anything as she and King walked in. Y/N was about to walk off until he felt Luz hug him from behind.

Luz: *buries her face on his back* Please be careful.

Y/N smiles and puts his hands on top of hers.

Y/N: I will Luz.

Luz breaks the hug as Y/N turns around and smiles at her. Luz smiles back at him and blushes. She kisses him on his cheek making the young dragon slayer blush.

Luz: Save a dance for me.

Y/N: U-Uh Y-Yea.

Luz giggles and runs inside as Y/N touches his cheek she kissed him on. He shakes his head and slaps his cheek.

Y/N: (Focus Y/N! Grom first, figure out the kiss later.)

Y/N walks around to find Amity. In the gym Luke was sitting down on top of the stands watching everyone have fun. It's not like he wanted to go down and enjoy the dance... Ok maybe he doesn't want to go down to dance. He was never one for school dances. He mostly went because Y/N and Luz went... Mostly to keep them out of trouble. Luke sighs and puts his hand on his cheek and rests his arm on his shoulder.

?: Not having fun?

He looks up and notices the twins walking beside him. Emira was wearing a beautiful yellow dress with a matching yellow bow tie. She was also wearing brown heels. Edric was wearing gray suit and a yellow shirt underneath. He also had a matching yellow bow tie as his sister and brown shoes.

Luke: Eh not really into dances.

Edric: *sits beside him* Really?

Emira: *sits on the other side* I find that hard to believe.

Luke: *raises an eyebrow* Really?

Emira: Nope.

Luke: *sighs* of course.

There was a brief silence, other than the sound of music playing.

Edric: Soooo about what happened at the house-

Emira: Edric!

Edric: What!? We were all thinking about it!?

Luke: (I mean he's not wrong.)

Emira: Still though!

Luke: It's fine Em.

Edric: So have you guys talked?

Luke: Not yet. Right now I want him to focus on his fight with Grom.

Edric: Oh ok.

Emira:... So did anyone ask you to Grom?

Luke: If you mean damn near killed me when trying to ask me out then yes.

Emira/Edric: Near killed you?

Luke: I was sprayed by some kind of weird red liquid, Attacked by a crazy plant, and crashed on by some creature.

Emira/Edric: Ooooh.

Luke: *sigh* Whatever happened to simply giving someone a note and calling it a day?

Emira: Maybe the person was scared and decided to be creative.

Luke: (More like deadly.)

Edric: I mean you've been there before, haven't you?

Luke: No.

Edric: Wait really!?

This made the twins confused.

Luke: People back at school saw me as a teacher's pet. They thought by dating me they would be able to get whatever they want. Other times they only saw me for my looks, nothing more. *closes his eyes and leans back* I rather date someone who's interested in me as a person, not for anything else. (Even though I have a hard time letting people into my life.)

The twins were shocked by Lukes responses. All Luke ever wants is for someone who likes him for him.

Luke was a bit surprised and smiled.

The three looked down and saw Luz waving at them with Willow beside her.

Edric: Hey Luz! *looks at Luke* Let's go have fun!

Edric starts to walk down as Luke sighed and got up. He then felt Emira grab his hand. He looked over and saw her with her head down and her hair covering her eyes.

Emira: H-Hey Luke?

Luke noticed the little change in her voice. She sounded nervous.

Luke: What is it?

Emira: U-Um about what you said *blushes a bit* If someone likes you for you as in like like would you give them a chance?

Luke was quiet for a bit and was about to respond until they heard Edric's voice

Edric: Hey you guys coming or what?!

Luke and Emira looked over to Edric waving over to them to come. He notices Luz with a sly smirk and a jealous Willow.

Luke: (Oh great just what I needed.) *looks over to Emira* Let's go enjoy the dance before they annoy us.

Emira: Y-Yea lets go.

Both Luke and Emira walked over to the others as they all started to enjoy the dance

We cut to Eda leaning on flowers with eyeballs. She had her arms crossed as she had a bored look on her face. She then looks at her watch looking at the time. She then hears King walking up to her.

King: Why so twitchy witchy? I'm trying to remember, have I seen you this worried before.

Eda: Of course I'm worried! I'm going to have to save Y/N from a nightmare monsters! *groans and crosses her arms* Ugh. So much for momma's fun night out.

Suddenly the lights turned off and Gus's voice was heard. Gus was on the stage wearing... And was holding a microphone in his hand.

Gus: Ladies and gentlemen and assorted demons! It's almost time for our main Grom event! Please take a seat and be aware that our first three rows are designated splash zone.

Everyone turns and sees and on the floor was in fact a sign that said "SPLASH ZONE ''. A demon in a raincoat had an umbrella in his hand and opened it with a smile.

Luke: This place just gets weirder and weirder.

Luz: Let's go find some seats!

The others started making their way to the stand to find a place to sit. Luke was about to follow them but suddenly everything went dark. He looked around and was confused until he heard a voice.

Little Demon: So your really doing this huh?

Luke: *sigh* I already told you, I do what I want. Why are you so worried about me anyway?

Little Demon:... Good luck.

Soon Luke was back to the dance hall as he shook his head and went to where the others were sitting. He sat down and saw Eda and King walking up to them. They both took a seat as Eda had her arms crossed with her leg over her other.

Luke: Something the matter teach?

Eda: Meh.

Luke: *sweat drop* Ok then.

King: Man Gus is really good at this. They are appealing by his every word.

Gus then started to do some weird poses as Luke just sweat drops.

Luke: Yyyyyea.

Gus: I see that principal Bump is in the house! Now sir I hope you don't know what's in the kitchen cause we are going to raise the roof!

The light shines on Bump as the crowd cheers. Bump gave a nervous smile.

Luke: (What does that even mean?)

King: *takes out cards and drops them* I uh hope I have some good material.

King then falls on the ground and lands on a whoopee cushion.

Luke: (Why does he even have that?)

King: What do you think would go better with the youth? Close up magic or impressions.

Luke: (Neither.)

Eda: *grabs King* Oh King. *gets in his face sinisterly* Teenagers are brutal. They'll boo anyone, and that kind of public humiliation will stick with you for life.

King lets out a yelp and Luke just facepalms.

Luke: (Does everyone not know how to encourage people?... But the sad part is she's not wrong.)

The scene then cuts to outside the dance. Amity was standing alone outside wearing a light purple undershirt with puffed sleeves, a darker purple vest over the top, and a knee-length skirt somewhere in between. Her socks match her shirt and come up to her ankles while her shoes are a little shorter than that and more closely match her vest.

She had a look of sadness. She then took out her note and rubbed on it. She lets out a sigh.

?: There you are.

Amity looked up and saw Y/N walking up to her with a smile on his face.

Y/N: I was looking for you.

Amity: *sadly* Y/N.

Y/N: *worried* You ok?

Amity lets out a sigh and looked down sadly. She then felt Y/N put his hand on her shoulder.

Y/N: Hey. I'm here if you need to talk about it.

Amity looked up at Y/N and did a small smile.

Amity: It's just that *sigh* I wish I can be as strong as you. Face my fears like you can. *looks down sadly* All I am is just a coward.

Y/N: Amity.

Y/N gently brought his hands to Amity's check and gently brought her up to look at him.

Y/N: There's nothing wrong with being scared, Amity. Sometimes we need others to help us out.

Amity couldn't help but smile a bit.

Y/N: There's the smiling Amity Blight I know.

Amity just giggled and shoved him a bit.

Amity: Oh shut it "Dragneel"

Y/N: Hey! Why did you use quotation marks!?

Amity just giggled more as Y/N let out a chuckle. The two were enjoying their moments until they heard Gus's voice.

Gus: Now to introduce the challenger! You know him, you've heard of him, the legendary son of Igneel Dragneel; Y/N Dragneel the Dragon Slayer!

The crowd started to cheer.

Luke: *Looks at Luz* Speaking of Dragon slayer's, where is black steel anyway?

Luz: Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him or Levy. I wonder where are they?

Cuts to Gajeel and Levy

Gajeel was laying down on his side as Levy was in a beautiful blue dress as she was pouting at him.

Levy: What do you mean you're not going!?

Gajeel: *back facing her* I think I made it clear that I'm not going.

Levy: But why grom is a once in a life chance event

Gajeel: That happens once every year.

Levy: *pouts* Oh come on! Don't tell me your mad Y/N was picked instead of you?!

Gajeel:...Shut up.

Levy lets out a sigh

Back to the school

Luz: Eh I'm sure they're fine.

Cuts to Y/N and Amity.

Y/N: Welp I better get out there. *smiles at Amity* Wish me luck.

Y/N starts walking until he was hugged behind by Amity.

Amity: Good luck. And *buries her hand in his back* Please be careful.

Y/N: *looked back and smiled* I will.

Amity lets go of Y/N as the young dragon slayer he starts walking he then stops and looks back at Amity.

Y/N: I promise. I'll win.

Y/N turns back and starts walking to the arena.

Y/N: Wish me Luck!

Amity looks at him and smiles with a blush on her face. But she still had a worried look

Amity: Luck

The scene cuts to the red button crawling beside Gus. Gus presses the button and the arena floor starts to open as the crowd goes to their seats to watch. Y/N looked at all the weapons.

Y/N: Nah *looks at his blade* I'll stick with this guy.

Y/N looks down and sees grom slithering around. He had a look of determination and started walking down. Just then everything stopped. He looked around and noticed everything had stopped moving.

Y/N: What's going-

?: Keh. Keh. Keh. So your really doing this huh?

Y/N eyes widened as he knew the sound of the voice.

Slayer: Last chance to walk away kid.

Y/N: *glares* Sorry, but I'm not running.

Slayer: Keh. Keh. Keh. Alright then. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Time started to play again as Y/N just sighed and kept walking. As soon as he entered the arena Grom came up and looked at Y/N.

Y/N: *turns around and takes his sword out* Let's dance ugly.

Grom growls and starts to launch at Y/N. Y/N runs at him with a battle cry. Grom uses one of his tentacles to try and hit Y/N but Y/N dodges it and cuts off the creature's tentacles. Grom lets out a cry and backs away. Soon Grom started to change into a black mist. The mist then circles around Y/N. Y/N looked around and was on guard until he heard.

These were things people always said to Y/N. Calling him all these names always used to hurt Y/N the keyword was uses to. Y/N put his sword away and fire started to surround him.

Y/N: Flame commandment: Fire pillar!

The fire that surrounds Y/N launches high into the sky burning the mist away. The crowd starts to cheer.

Luz: Go Y/N!

Luke: Not bad.

Gus: And there he goes, folks! Using that famous dragon slayer magic to keep Grom at bay! And now, to hand things over to my co-emcee: King!

The students cheer. King walks onto the stage.

Luz: Go King!

King: Hel-LO, Hexside! So...

He drops his cards and the microphone feedback screeches. He tugs at his collar.

Luke: (Oh boy)

King: Oh, oh gosh. Um... whoo. Wow, these lights are warm. Observe! Y/N, is um... he's down there, all right. And, uh, yes he is! There he goes! Folks, he's battling the thing, and uh...

The crowd begins to boo.

Luke: (Great Eda, you made him crack.)

Guest: Bring back the funny kid!

Luke: (I wouldn't say that.)

King: You will clap for me! Please?

He throws down the microphone and runs offstage, wailing.

Gus: King! [Goes after him.]

Luz: *worried* King

Suddenly Grom starts to appear a few feet away from Y/N as Y/N smirks at him.

Y/N: That all you got?

Grom starts to growl and starts to change his shape again. This time he started to turn into an adult male with wild hair and a beard. Y/N eyes widen from this. The group looked and was shocked.

Luz: Who is-

Eda: *shocked* Igneel.

Grom Igneel looked at Y/N and smirked at him.

Grom Igneel: Hello Y/N.

Y/N glared at Grom. Grom vanished and appeared in front of Y/N. Y/N was shocked until he felt the Grom Igneel grab him by the neck and held him up. Y/N was struggling to breath from Grom Igneel squeezing his neck.

Grom Igneel: This is the power of my son.

Grom Igneel slams Y/N on the ground, shattering it in the process. Y/N coughed up some blood as Grom Igneel smiled sinisterly.

Grom Igneel: I'm very disappointed.

Y/N: *grabs Grom's arm* Well sorry to disappoint *fire starts to appear in his hand* But I don't give a damn!

Y/N started to burn off Grom Igneel's arm making him back up. Y/N jumps on his feet and charges at Grom Igneel, with his sword in hand.

Y/N: I'm not you! I'm my own person!

Y/N then slices Grom Igneel in half as the creature screams in pain and slowly starts to disappear.

Luz: Alright Y/N!

Luke looked at Y/N and saw him panting. He also saw Y/N's arm shaking a bit.

Luke: (Trying to live up to his dad's legacy, guess that really effective him.)

Principal Bump: Y/N has lasted surprisingly long. But what form will Grom take next?

Y/N pants a little as he turned to Grom and saw him struggling to change into a different form.

Y/N: Seems that was all you got. *holds his sword in front of him* So let's end this!

Y/N then starts charging a Grom and jumps in the air with his blade over his head.

Y/N: This ends now!

Y/N swings his sword down and then... Everything goes dark. Y/N eyes opened and saw he was back in a red void.

Y/N: W-What just-

Slayer: Keh. Keh. Keh.

Y/N eyes widened as he looked around to find Slayer, but the demon was nowhere to be seen.

Slayer: Not bad kid. Not bad. You almost impressed me for a second.

Y/N: W-What are you-

Slayer: Using anger to bury your fears, a smart idea indeed but however, It's not enough.

Suddenly a door appeared before Y/N. Y/N looked at the door and soon horror was on his face when the top of the door said: "Y/N Biggest fear".

Y/N: *horror* N-No.

Slayer appears, smaller than before, with his hand on the door handle and smiles sinisterly.

Slayer: You wanted to face your fear, right?

Y/N: N-No.

Slayer: Then allow me *turns the handle*

Y/N: *runs forward to stop slayer* NO!

Slayer: To help.

Suddenly Y/N was back fighting Grom... However it wasn't Grom he was fighting anymore. Y/N eyes widened as he stopped his movements and landed on the ground. Luke's eyes widen as he mouth was slightly open and his body started to shake.

Luz: I-Is that?

The camera slowly shows a girl wearing a white dress with brown hair. Her eyes slowly open revealing her brown eyes and smile innocently at Y/N.

Y/N/Luke: S-Sally?

Sally: *looks up at Y/N* Hello, my dragon boy.

There was a moment of silence as Y/N stared at Sally. The young dragon slayer's body was shaking uncontrollably.

Sally" *stares at him confused* What's wrong Y/N? Aren't you happy to see me?

Y/N: *lowers his sword* I-I

Sally started to walk forward a bit making Y/N take a step back.

Sally: What's wrong? It's almost like your afraid of me.

Y/N: I-I-I

Sally: Is it because I'm here? Is it because I'm not that tall? Or *whispers in Y/N ear* Is it because... You let me die?

Y/N eyes started to dilate. He then moves back only to trip and fall. Y/N looks up and what he sees next horrified him. Sally had a giant hole in her stomach and her eyes were pure white.

Grom Sally: Your biggest fear is failing to keep your promise to me. You let me die.

Y/N: *starts to cry* I-I didn't mean to! I-I

Grow Sally: Aww my poor dragon. *holds her hand out and walks towards him* Don't worry *smirks* I'll make the pain go away *eyes glow* Permanently.

Luz/Amity: Y/N!

As Sally was getting closer to the scared slayer. Someone appeared between them. It was Luke. He held out his sword and pointed at Grom Sally. Even though he had the look of anger, inside he was panicking just as much as Y/N.

Y/N: L-Luke?

Grom Sally: Hello Little brother.

Luke: *glares* Don't call me that, you monster!

Grom Sally: *hurt expression* Monster? How can you be so cruel?

Luke bit his lip as he continued to glare at Grom Sally.

Grom Sally: We're family aren't we? You wouldn't hurt your own sister, right?

Luke's eyes widened as his glaring expression started to drop to fear and panic. He could only say one thing.

Luke: *tears fall and mutters* R-Run. Y/N.

Y/N was able to hear that and picked his sword up and started to run. He pushes open the door and runs down the hallway.

Luz: *runs after him* Y/N!

Eda: *runs after them* Oh Titan, damn it!

Grom Sally sees this and smiles. She starts walking past Luke and stops beside him.

Grom Sally: It's a shame, even with all your power, you still can't save anyone.

Grom Sally started to morph and chased after Y/N, while Luke lowered his sword and his head. He was panicking on the inside and out.

Meanwhile, King and Gus. Gus walks over to King, who is sitting in front of the lockers, looking down. He sits next to him.

Gus: What's going on, little dude?

King: Nothing! Leave me be! [Lays down.]

Gus: The thing is, you're sitting in my personal chit-chat zone, which means you gotta talk.

King: Well if that's the rule... Oh, how can this be? I get stage fright! Me! The King of Demons!

Gus: Well, sometimes, you just have to—

King: I know, I know. Imagine everyone in their underwear.

Gus: [Blushing.] Gross! Why would you do that?

King: I dunno. I always do that. [Chuckles.] I am a little weirdo.

Gus: No, King. Sometimes you just have to face your fear, like Y/N is doing right now.

Just then they heard Y/N slamming into the locker, starling both of them. They turned and see Y/N with tears falling from his eyes as he ran past them not saying a thing.

Gus: Was that-

Grom Sally: *offscreen* Why are you running from me!?

They turned and saw Grom Sally running after Y/N. Grom Sally was crawling after him leaving King and Gus alone. Just then they heard Principle Bump and the students coming out.

Principal Bump: Grom has escaped.

"He escaped!"

"Oh no!"

"Grom escaped."

"What are we gonna do?"

Gus: King, now's your chance.

King grabs the microphone as the students chatter.

King: Gimme! *To himself* King of Demons, you got this. *To crowd* Well, folks, it looks like our show literally just took off!

They look at King, confused.

King: Weh?

Gus: *To King* You gotta pander.

King: Uh, took off just like your local sports team would take off when they're about to make a goal?

The students cheer.

Students: Yeah, sports team! Sports team! Oh, yeah! I love our team!

King: Yeah, that's right, so let's follow them and see what happens next.

Gus takes King into his arms, and they lead out the crowd. As everyone was running outside Luz and Eda ran out last. They both looked at each other and nodded. They were about to run after Y/N until they heard a voice.

?: Wait!

They both turned and saw Amity panting running up to them.

Amity: Let me come with you!

Eda: Kid I don't think-

Amity: Please! I got him into this! I want to save him!

Luz walked up to Amity and smiled at her.

Luz: Let's go save him.

Amity smiled and nodded her head. Eda sighed but smiled at the two. The three of them went to go help Y/N. Meanwhile Luke was still looking down the whole time. He had a look of pure panic on his face. He was so lost in thought he didn't notice three people approaching him.

Edric/Emira/Willow: LUKE!

Luke's eyes widened and looked at the three.

Luke: W-What? W-What happened?

Edric: Grom broke out and went after Y/N!

Luke's eyes widened.

Willow: *worried* Luke are you-

Before she could finish Luke dropped into his shadow and left.

Willow: Wait!

The twins looked at each other, nodded, and ran after him. Willow slowly started to run after them as well.

With Y/N

Y/N was busy running for his life. He didn't care where he was going, he just kept running, panting, tears falling from his eyes. Soon he saw a clearing and kept running. As he made it to the clearing he realized it was a cliff edge. He stopped before he fell into the ocean. He looked down at the view panting heavily as he fell on his knees panting heavily. He looked down as tear fell from his eyes.

Y/N: *Pants* Why!? *pants* I thought *pants* I could

Y/N couldn't finish his sentence as he kept crying. He then starts to remember that day

Flashback

We see a small Y/N in the middle of a burning building. Fire was around his body as he was screaming and crying in agony. He held himself, trying to keep the fire end, but it was useless. He kept crying as he held himself. Just then he heard a voice.

?: *offscreen* Y/N!

Y/N eyes widen. The person he called his name was Sally. She entered the building panting heavily. She saw Y/N holding himself crying. Rubble and steel started to fall around them.

Sally: Y/N! It's me!

Y/N: STAY AWAY!

Sally: Y/N please! I want to help you!

Y/N: I SAID STAY BACK!

Suddenly Y/N fire starts to burn out of control burning more holes in the building. The building started to crumble more. Sally shielded her eyes but kept walking towards him.

Sally: Y/N. I know you're scared. But I'm not going to leave you.

Y/N: STAY BACK! SALLY, PLEASE!

The fire started to head for Sally hitting her dead on. Though it didn't burn her at all. She looks down at it and then back at Y/N to see him crying.

Y/N: Please. *whimpers* I-I don't want to hurt you.

Sally looked at Y/N for a moment and then smiled. She kept walking closer to him, ignoring all the falling ruble.

Sally: I know Y/N. I know you don't want to hurt me. Your fire is proof of that.

Y/N turned to Sally and saw her in front of him. She gently grabbed his face for her to look him in the eye.

Sally: See? It doesn't hurt me.

Y/N looked at her surprised. Sally brushes some of the tears of his eyes and smile sincerely at him.

Sally: Your fire is yours and nobody else's. *hugs him* And I'll always be there to remind you.

Y/N started to cry again as he held her. He cried into her shoulder as she smiled and rubbed his back. It was a happy moment...Until...A loud sound was heard above them. Sally's eyes widened as she pushed Y/N off him.

Sally: Y/N!

STAB!

It was as time slowed down. Y/N was in the air getting pushed as he looked at the scene with pure horror...In front of him... Was a steel beam... That pursed through Sally.

Sally: ...Y/...N.

Y/N: S-S

The screen goes dark as Y/N voice was heard.

Y/N: SALLY!

Flashback ends.

We cut back to Y/N crying on the ground. He continued to cry until he heard something approaching him.

Y/N: *turns around with hope in his eyes* L-Luke?

Y/N eyes dilated when he saw who it was.

With Luke

Luke exited out his shadow as he looked around frantically. He then hears running and for a spilt second he saw Y/N. He ran after him. He was deep into the woods as he looked around to find him. He stop to catch a breath and continue to look around. He then heard small whimpering as he turned and saw Y/N crying. Luke started to approach the dragon teen.

Luke: Y-Y/N. I-I know your scared. B-But don't worry *attempts to grab Y/N shoulder* I-I'm her-

Before Luke could finish "Y/N" grabbed Luke's arm. His cries started to turn into laughter. He looked up at Luke and his eyes were pure white. Luke's eyes widened as he smacked "Y/N's" hand off his arm and jumped back a few feet.

Luke: *glares* You!

"Y/N" starts to stand up smiling evilly at Luke.

Grom Y/N: It's funny really. To think the kid is also scared of himself.

Luke glared daggers at Grom Y/N. Grom Y/N looked at his hand.

Grom Y/N: Fear is such an interesting emotion. It's something everyone has and no matter how strong they are, or how smart they are, they can never escape it.

Soon Grom's body started to change. Luke gets into a defense position as he watches. That was until Grom's voice started to change.

Grom: Even you...

Luke's eyes widened as Grom's appearance started to change into Luke's inner demon.

Grom Little demon: Martins.

Luke: W-What?

Grom disappeared and Luke looked around.

Grom Little demon: *offscreen* I find your fear actually funny.

Passes a tree, with the camera on Luke.

Grom Little demon: Just like the slayer, you try hiding your fear with anger

Passes another tree, with the camera close to Luke.

Grom Little demon: You try to stand tall acting like a tough guy

Passes another tree, with the camera on Luke's face.

Grom Little demon: *offscreen* But in the end

Passes one final tree, Still on Luke's face but with Grom behind him

Grom Little demon: *smiles* You're scared out of your damn mind.

Luke's eyes widened as he turned around, but a loud smash sound was heard as birds started to fly off from nearby trees.

Cuts to Y/N

Y/N saw Grom Sally walking up to him. He tried to crawl back but stopped when he heard a pebble fall in the water. He looked back and saw the oceans crashing on the shore. He looked back at Grom Sally and she smiled and walked towards him.

Y/N: S-Stay back!

Grom Sally: Funny. Didn't you say those same words when I tried to help you?

Y/N eyes widen as he started to cry

Grom Sally: All I wanted to do was help you. But you pushed me away.

Y/N: I-I didn't mea-

Before Y/N could finish, Grom summoned a tentacle and grabbed Y/N by the neck. Y/N made choking noises as Grom Sally held him up in the air.

Grom Sally: Don't worry. There is one way for you to make it up to me.

Y/N continued to get choked as he looked at Sally weakly.

Grom Sally: You can die for me.

Grom Sally started to apply more pressure around Y/N neck as she was choking the life out of him. Y/N didn't even have the energy to scream in pain. His eyes slowly started to close as death started to take him. He stopped fighting back as his arms dropped to his side. Slowly the air around him started to fade and death was approaching.

That was until.

SLASH!

An abomination ax chopped off Groms arm making the fear demon let out a cry of pain. Grom took a step back and was met with an ice glyph. It froze the monster's left leg. The creature got annoyed and was about to use its free hand to break the ice, but the creature was met with a fireball that hit its back making a giant smoke cloud. Y/N body started to fall. Before he hit the ground he was caught by a familiar latino girl.

Luz: Y/N!

Y/N slowly open his eyes. He could barely see but he could tell it was Luz. Luz looked at her friend and saw barely any life in him. Her heart sank. Just seeing him like this was hurting her.

Amity: *runs up to them* Y/N!

Amity ran to the otherside of Y/N and had the same pain expression as Luz. Seeing Y/N like this she couldn't help but have tears in his eyes.

Eda: Girls! How is he!?

Amity: *looks at Eda with tears in her eyes* H-He's

Luz: *looks at Eda* He's hurt real bad!

Eda: Don't worry *starts running to them* I'm com-

Before Eda could get close, one of Grom's arms grabbed Eda, sending her deep into the woods.

Luz/Amity: Eda!

Slowly the dust started to clear as Grom, back into his original form, glared at the direction he sent Eda.

Grom: Stay out of this owl lady!

Grom looked over at the two girls and glared.

Grom: Out of the way. I haven't had my fun with him yet.

Amity gets up and stands in front of Luz and Y/N with her hands out.

Amity: Stay away from him!

This angered the creature as she grabbed Amity, wrapping his tentacles around the young Blight.

Luz: Amity!

Luz got up, took out a glyph, and ran towards the creature. Grom saw the human charging at her and summoned another tentacle around the girl and held her up. Both girls screamed as they were held high up. Y/N slowly turned his head and saw what Grom was doing to his friends. Sadly though the young dragon slayer was too afraid to do anything. Any attempt of movement was impossible for him. His whole body was frozen in fear.

Amity: Y/N! I'm sorry! I shouldn't have put you in danger! I should have faced my fears on my own!

Y/N: *mutters weakly* Am...ity.

Amity: I should have-

Amity eyes started to glow blue.

Luz: Amity! Your-

Before Luz could finish her eyes started to glow blue as well.

Amity's fear

Amity was looking around the corner and saw her crush Y/N taking books out of her locker. She turns around, holding the note in her hands and breathing in and out.

Amity: *mutter to herself* Ok here goes.

Amity then walks over to Y/N.

Amity: *blushes* Y-Y/N.

Y/N: *notices Amity and turns around with a smile* Oh hey Amity.

Amity's brain almost stopped working, just seeing him smile so sweetly at her was making her mind go blank.

Y/N: *confused* Amity, are you ok?

Amity: I- uh- well, um I,

Y/N: *chuckles* Hey, it's ok. Just tell me what you want to tell me

Amity looked into his eyes and smiled brightly with a blush on her face. She took a deep breath in and out.

Amity: *holds up her note* H-Here.

Y/N looks at it for a bit and gently takes it from her. He opens it and starts to read it, the more he was reading the deeper Amity's blush became.

Y/N: *continues to look at the not* You wrote this for me?

Amity: *nods her head* Mh-hm.

She could barley form any words anymore.

Y/N: *hair covering his eyes* Why?

Amity: *blushes deeply* W-Well *voice cracks a bit* I-I-I

Y/N: *raises an eyebrow* You?

Amity: *takes a huge breath* I LOVE YOU Y/N!

Amity started to pant heavily. Her entire face was crimson red and her heart was beating. She was sweating uncontrollably and her body was shaking like crazy. No matter what she did she couldn't calm down. The only thing that she need to help [or make it worse] is Y/N's response.

Y/N: *chuckles* Oh Amity.

Amity looked up at Y/N and when she did she immediately flinch.

Y/N: *emotionless* Did you really think I would love someone like you?

It was as if he had pierced her heart with just those words His voices and eyes both were emotionless.

Amity: W-What?

Y/N: Get real Amity. *holds the note beside his face* Why would I go out with someone; who belittles others, hurts people, and thinks she's superior to everyone.

Amity: *begins to panic* B-But I-I

Y/N: What? Changed? Heh. Yea right.

All of Y/N's words was piercing Amity's heart like a knife. What he did next shattered whatever chance she had with him. Y/N starts to rip Amity's note in half and drops it to the ground.

Y/N: Safe it for someone who actually can put up with a bitch like you.

Y/N starts to walk away as Amity starts to cry. She falls to her knees and lets her tears out. If the rejection wasn't enough, what she saw next hurt her even more. She looks up and sees Y/N holding hands with Luz as they are entering the portal to earth. Seeing the two of them happy and leaving her alone made her break even more. She tried to get up, run and stop them but someone grabbed her arm. She turned around and saw it was her parents that grabbed her. She looked horrified seeing them.

Amity: *turns to Y/N* Y/N! Please! HELP!

Y/N: *turns around* See ya. Blight.

Y/N and Luz enter the portal, all lovelny leaving Amity to scream all alone.

Amity: *yells* Y/N!

Luz's fear

Luz was in the house finishing writting her note.

Luz: Ok! It's done! Now to give it to Y/N!

Luz walked out her room and was meet face to face with Y/N.

Luz: *surprised* Oh Y/N!

Y/N: *smiles* Hey Luz. What's the rush?

Luz: *blushes* O-Oh um well.

Luz tried to come up with words, but being around him always made her weak and unable to say anything.

Y/N: Yoooou?

Luz used what little bit of courage she could and gave Y/N the note.

Luz: *blushes bright red* Here!

Y/N takes the note and was about to red it, but before he could even get the chance Luz bluttered out.

Luz: *blushes bright red*TE AMO! I LOVE YOU Y/N!

Y/N looked at the girl shocked. Luz's eyes were shut and her heart was beating fast. She did it. She confessed to her best friend in the world. She looked up at him, hoping he would tell her the same, but what she saw next made her heart shatter. Y/N had ripped the note and glared at the girl.

Y/N: Childish. Hard headed. And completely dumb.

Luz: W-What?

Y/N: Did you really think I would go out with someone like you?

Luz: B-But w-we've know each other-

Y/N: For a long time? *chuckles* And you thought that gave you an advantage against others huh?

Luz was hesitant.

Y/N: I'm right aren't I? You never learned when to think things through. Always doing whatever you want, with no regard for others.

Luz: T-That's not true!

Y/N: *raises his eyebrow* Oh really? Then stop me if you heard this one before: "Maybe it was a mistake to be friends with a freak like you."

Luz's whole body stopped working as her eyes widened. She remembers those exact words she told him.

Y/N: All I did was want to help you, but you didn't want my help.

Luz: *beings to cry* Y-Y/N please. I didn't mean it.

Y/N: Save it for someone who cares about you. As a matter of fact.

?: *offscreen* Mija?

Luz's eyes immediately widened. Her whole body went cold. She didn't want to turn around, she couldn't, but sadly she did. She was met face to face with her mother, who was standing exiting out the human portal door.

Luz: *scared* M-Mom?

Camilia: *walks up to her* This isn't summer camp. What is this terrible place?

Luz: *panics* Mom! I-I can explain!

Camila: *gets mad* Explain what!?

Luz flinches from her mothers outbursts. Her body was shaking, her body was racing. She was trying her hardest to find some way to explain herself... But nothing came

Camila: Espérate un momento. You've. Been. Lying to me!?

Luz: *starts to cry* M-Mom no I-I

Camila: Save it! *grabs Luz's hand* We're going home right now!

Luz: *struggles* W-What!? No! What about Luke!? What about Y/N!?

Camila: Luke's mother already got him, and Y/N can take care of himself here!

Luz: No! *looks over to Y/N* Y/-

Before Luz could say anything else, it was as if time stopped. Y/N was in a deep make out session with Amity Blight. She had her arms around his neck and Y/N had his arms around her waist to deepen the kiss. Hurt was a weak word to use for Luz in this situation. She was destroyed, shattered, dead, from what she witnessed. If, being called out from her friend, found out by her mom, and being forced to go back home leaving her best friend for the rest of her life behind, wasn't enough seeing him make out with another girl that wasn't her truly broke the girl. Y/N removed his lips from Amity and smiled at Luz.

Y/N: Farewell, Noceda.

Both girls started to tear up as they were experiencing their worst fears.

Grom: HAHAHAHAHAHAH! YES! YES! GIVE IN TO THE FEAR!

Grom then reaches into their pockets and rips the note in their pockets throwing it into the ground. Y/N, who was still barely conscious, watched the notes land in front of him. They both read: "Will you please go to Grom with me". Y/N barely had the energy to say anything, as his eyes slowly started to close.

With Luke

Luke was slammed and being held up on a tree. Luke had blood dripping down from his head as he was getting choked.

Grom Little Demon: Now which hurts more? A.

Grom punches Luke in the face as he lets out a grunt. Blood spit out from his mouth landing on the ground

Grom Little Demon: Or B.

Grom punches the other side of Luke's mouth as he spits out more blood.

Grom Little Demon: Forward hand

Grom opens his hand and slaps Luke across the woods. Luke louds on the ground with a painful grunt. Luke slowly starts to get up but is met face to face with Grom, who has his hand up.

Grom Little Demon: Or backhand?

Grom then slaps Luke again as he falls down on the ground again, spitting out more blood. Luke starts to cough up more blood as Grom watches.

Grom Little Demon: The joy I get from torturing people with their own fear is so amazing!

Grom kicks Luke into a tree. Luke slowly falls down and pants heavily.

Grom Little Demon: I'm going to keep torturing you over and over again until I get bored!

Grom lifts up his hand and was about to strike Luke again. Until a vine wrapped around Grom's hand and pulling him. Grom ends up slamming hard into the ground. Luke looked up with barely any life in his eyes and saw two familiar figures.

Edric/Emira: Luke!

Willow: *runs up to them* Are you ok!?

Luke couldn't say anything as he just barely stares at the three.

Grom: Excuse me?

The group turned and saw Grom still in the Little Demon form walking up to them.

Grom Little Demon: We are in the middle of something, so I would appreciate if you get out of the way.

The twins glared at Grom and walked beside Willow. Willow summoned a spell circle as vines came out from the ground.

Edric: If you want him

Emira/Willow: You have to get through us!

Grom Little Demon: *smirks* Have it your way then. I could show you your worst fears *hand starts to turn into a claw* But I'd rather kill you all instead.

Grom rushes at the teens as the group runs after them. Luke weakly looks up and sees them try their best to fight the fear demon but is failing miserably. Luke felt so pathetic. He could barely move and barely say anything. All he could do was watch as his friends were getting beaten by the creature. Grom was holding Willow up by her throat, held Emira by her dress and had his foot on Edric.

Grom: How sad. And I thought you would put up a better fight than that. Welp once I'm done with you that little half demon is next and then I'll spread fear through this whole land!

Grom started to laugh sinisterly as he started choking the life out of Willow. Just then Luke's blade came from the sky and landed in front of Luke. Luke looked down at his sword and saw his reflection. Slowly his reflection started to show a demon, but this demon was different from his inner one. This one was older. Luke's eyes slowly started to shut as everything went dark.

Y/N

Y/N was in a dark void. He was on his back, eyes open, barely any life in them.

Y/N: I-I can't... Face my fears... I can't protect... I can't do anything... I can't...

Y/N eyes slowly started to shut as he succumbs to the darkness...Until

?: Y/N.

Y/N felt someone gently grab his cheeks. His eyes slowly start to open. He couldn't tell who it was, they were too blurry for him to make out.

?: Don't say you can't Y/N. You can do it. I know you can.

Y/N: But... But I... I'm too weak...

?: Y/N.

Y/N: I couldn't save... Sally... And I failed... Zack.

Flashback

Y/N was on his knees with a bleeding Zack. Zack smiled at his student weakly as he held Y/N's hand.

Zack: My honor... My dreams... There yours now.

Flashback ends

Y/N: I'm sorry... Zack... Some students... I turned out...

The figure watches as Y/N was blaming himself. Soon the figure smiled at Y/N.

?: Sometimes we can't defeat our fears. The best we can do is make sure they don't take over our lives.

Y/N eyes slowly started to glow as he remembered those same words Zack once told him.

Zack: No matter the person, fear is in us all. It's not about how we conquer it, it's to not allow it to take control of us.

?: As long as you feel fear you are human. Just know that the fear is there and don't give in to it. Use that fear as your strength.

Y/N: As my...own...strength.

?: Yes. You have many things that make you strong: Your friends, your loved ones, and the promises you made.

Y/N: B-But...I.

?: It's true you didn't keep your last promise, but remember you swear to never break another promise, right?

Again Y/N eyes started to shine when he remembered what he told himself.

A little Y/N was at Sally's grave. He was crying on it as he started to say something

Y/N: I swear I will never break a promise! Ever again!

?: Remember the promise you made to Amity.

Y/N: Am..ity.

Y/N: I promise. I'll win.

?: And the promise you made: Never lose your light.

Y/N eyes start to widen when he remembered that promise

?: Y/N. Even if the world is covered in darkness. Along that dark world is a shining light. That light would lead you to people who will love and care for you. Promise me when you find that light, you will protect it no matter what

Little Y/N: I-I, I promise.

Y/N continued to look at the figure as they became more clear. It was her... His mother.

Y/N Mother: Go. My child fulfilled your promise. *starts to fade away*. Go, my child.

His mother starts to fade as he watches.

Y/N: Get up.

Y/N eyes started to change into red.

Y/N: Get up.

Fire started to surround Y/N as he slowly started to get up from the void.

Y/N: I have to get up!

Y/N starts to stand up.

Y/N: I promised Amity. I promised my mother... I swear... That I would never. Break a promise *eyes shine red and looks at the void* EVER AGAIN!

Fire starts to spread around the void and a dragon forms letting out a roar into the void.

Luke

Luke was laying on the ground staring up at the dark void. He barely had any life in his eyes as he continued to stare into the dark void. Soon a figure appeared above him.

?: Life sucks, doesn't it?

Luke looked at the figure. He was too blurry for Luke to make out.

?: I never wanted this for you. The boiling isles is a harsh place. Demons hurting other demons, people putting down each other *sigh* "A demon eat demon world", "eat or be eaten", "the weak die and the strong survive". All the things I heard when I was alive. I had enough of all of it and wanted to end it all. *looks up* I figured by ending my life I could finally escape this hell hole... But life has an interesting way of working.

Luke continues to look at the figure as he slowly starts to see the figure more clearly.

?: Somehow in some way I was able to meet a wonderful woman in my life. She accepted me for being weak and loved me just as much as I loved her. Sometimes I think I really did die that day and ended up in my own version of heaven. *looks at Luke* And when I held you and your sister in my arms, I felt like the happy's demon in the world.

Once he said that Luke was able to see him clearly, it was his father, Ragnorake Martins.

Ragnarok: Me and your mother wanted you both to have the life we could never have, a happy one. *sigh* But deep down I knew that couldn't happen. You both carried my blood, the black blood inside. I feared that you two would go through trauma, pain, and suffering. The thought of that pains me... But somehow you were able to still find happiness. Even though you lost something precious to you, you were able to find more people precious to you. Friends, a new family, you managed to find things you want to protect.

Luke's eyes started to shine for a bit as he continued to listen.

Ragnarok: My story might have ended, but your story is just beginning. *holds up a balled up fist* I can't say things will get easier for here on out, but I can say this: you can do it my son.

Luke's eyes widened as his face started to soften up.

Ragnarok: Now get up, beat that demon, and win.

Luke slowly starts to get up and looks behind him. Him and his dad stared at each other for a bit.

Ragnarok: And plus you can get your peace and quiet back.

Luke just lightly chuckles as he turns back around.

Sally: I believe in you little bro!

Luke's eyes widened as he heard Sally's voice. He looked down until he felt his dad put his hand on his shoulder.

Ragnarok: Gone.

Luke: *smiles* But not forgotten.

Ragnarok: *smiles* That's my boy.

Luke looks up and starts walking as both Ragnarok and Sally smile and slowly start to fade.

Luke: *transforms his right arm into a demon arm* Let's end this. *holds his hand out* Come to me!

Back in the real world

Grom continued to choke the life out of Willow until...

SLASH!

Grom's eyes widened as he saw Luke sliced his arm off. Grom let out a painful yell. He drops Emira and jumps back away from the teens. Luke grabbed Willow and held her.

Luke: You three ok?

Edric: *groans face on the ground* More or less.

Willow: *blushes* Y-Yea.

Emira; *smirks* Took you long enough.

Luke rolled his eyes at her remark. He then heard Grom morphing in front of them. Luke set Willow down and walked up to the creature.

Willow: *holds her hand out worried* L-Luke.

Luke: Don't worry little flower. *stops and turns back at her with a smile* I got this.

Willow's eyes widen, she could tell from Luke's eyes that he wasn't scared anymore. She smiled and nodded her head.

Cuts to Y/N

As Grom was showing both Luke and Amity their worst fears, as he smiled, a fire wave came out and chopped the creatures arms off. Grom yelled in pain as he stepped back. The two girls slowly started to fall but were caught by Y/N. Y/N landed on the ground and set them down gently. The girl's eyes turned back to normal and looked up and saw Y/N.

Luz/Amity: Y-Y/N.

Y/N: Sorry it took me awhile, but *turns to them with a smile* I'll handle this.

Both girls were amazed to see Y/N back to his old fighting self. They can tell he has changed a bit and smiled at him. Y/N turned back to Grom with a glare. The fear demon started to regrow his arms back and looked at Y/N with his own glare

Grom: So your back... Wait, something is different about you. Your eyes, there is still fear in them but there's something else.

Cut to Luke

Grom: *angry* What's going on!? Aren't you afraid of me!?

Luke: *chuckles* hehe. Afraid *thinks for a second* maybe a little,

Y/N

Y/N: But you've changed that.

Grom looks at Y/N and Luke confused.

Luke: Let's just say

Y/N: You change that fear

Y/N/Luke: *Eyes glowing red/Black* Into unyielding rage.

Luke slowly started to walk towards him.

Luke: Now let me ask you something fear bringer: Can a being such as yourself... Feel fear?

Grom slowly started to back up as his eyes widened. For the first time, in all of his life, the fear creature started to feel an emotion that he never thought he would ever feel: Fear.

Grom: No. No. No! No! NO!. NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I AM THE BRINGER OF FEAR, THE THING THAT HAUNTS EVERY DARK CORNER OF EVERYONE'S DAMN MIND! I AM GROM THE KING OF FEAR!

Grom suddenly transforms and launches himself at Luke and Y/N. Both boys smile from this.

Y/N: *brings his arms to his right side* Then let me show you

Luke: *whips the blood of his forehead and puts it on his sword* Real fear.

Fire started to surround in the center of Y/N's hands, and the black blood started to spread around Luke's sword, turning full black with black magic around it.

Y/N: (From here on out)

Luke: (I'll move forward.)

Y/N: Dragon Slayer secret arts!

Luke: Blood demon secret arts!

Suddenly a dragon appeared over Y/N's head and a demon appeared above Luke's head. Grom stopped and saw the creatures. His whole body started to tremble as his eyes started to dilate.

Grom: (T-This can't be happening!)

Y/N: Flame Lotus: EXPLODING FLAME BLADE!

Luke: *holds his sword over head* BLACK BLOOD: DEATH SLASH!

Y/N extended his arms forward as a powerful, and highly destructive, torrent of flame headed for the creature, as for Luke he swung his sword down as a dark wave of black blood headed towards him as well. Grom could only watch in fear as the blast head for him

BOOM!

SLASH! BOOM!

In two different areas and explosion happened pushing all kinds of dirt, derby, and trees away. Anyone nearby had to shield their eyes from the explosions. Soon the dust started to die down, and as the dust settle, there was no trace of the creature in either side. Luke let out a sigh and put his sword away. He turned and looked at the three friend as they were amazed of what just happened.

Luke: Well glad that's ov-

Before Luke could finished he was tackled into a hug.

Edric/Emira/Willow: LUKE!

They all landed down on the ground on top of Luke.

Luke: Ow.

Edric: *cries* You're ok!

Emira: *cries* You had us worried, you idiot!

Luke looked down and saw all three of them crying on him. He lets out a sigh and smiles at them. After a little cry fest the three stood up.

Luke: Let's go check on the others.

The three nodded their heads and started to head for Y/N and the others.

With Y/N

Y/N was staring at the dust cloud and let out a sigh as his eyes went back to normal. He turned around and saw both Luz and Amity looking at him

Y/N: *smiles* Are you two o-

Y/N was cut off when both girls went up and hugged him. He felt their tears on him.

Luz: *cries* Y/N!

Amity: *cries* We were so worried!

Y/N smiled at the two and rubbed their heads.

Y/N: I'm sorry girls.

The girls hugged him tighter and let their tears out as Y/N just rubbed their heads. The three heard walking and looked and saw Luke and the others. Y/N and the girls breaked away from the hug. Both Y/N and Luke walked up to each other. They stopped in front of each other and looked at one another. The group got worried, thinking they were going to fight again, but the two shocked the group when they hugged each other. The group couldn't help but smile from this. The two broke the hug, Y/N smiled at Luke as Luke did a small smile.

Suddenly the dust started to clear to reveal a beautiful blue tree. Both Y/N and Luke stared at it.

Y/N: I-Is that

Everyone heard humming as they looked up and saw Sally. She was swinging her legs back and forth. She looked down and smiled at the two boys. She jumped down and walked up to the two. She stops in front of them and smiles sweetly at them. Both Y/N and Luke looked away, unable to look her in the eye. She giggles from this and vanishes. She appears in front of Edric, Emira, and Willow. The three were cautious, thinking it was Grom.

Sally: So you're the three that have been looking after my baby brother?

The three were hesitant at first but nodded their heads.

Sally: *smiles* Thank you. Please look after him for me.

The three looked at each other and nodded. They looked back at Sally and smiled.

Edric/Emira/Willow: We will.

Sally smiles and vanishes again. She reappears in front of Amity and Luz.

Sally: I guess you two are looking after Y/N?

The two girls nodded their heads.

Sally: *pouts* Lucky *looks down mutter* I wanted to be the one to be with him. *smiles and looks back at the two girls* But I'm happy you both make him happy. Please take care of him for me.

The two girls looked at each other and nodded.

Amity/Luz: *looks at Sally* We will.

Sally smiles and vanishes. Finally she appears in front of Y/N and Luke, who still had their heads down.

Sally: Still can't look me in the eye.

Sally turns around with her hands behind her back.

Sally: Even though you two are still breaking inside.

The two boys continued to look down as they cringed.

Sally: *smiles* But that's a good sign... So why did you two come? What is it that you two want?

They were quiet for a bit.

Luke: We want...

Y/N: ...To be forgiven.

Sally:...By who?

The two boy's didn't say anything.

Sally: *turn around* Can't be by me. I don't blame you two for what happened years ago. Each other? No. You two already forgave one another.

The two continued to stay quiet.

Sally: Maybe, you two need to forgive: Yourselfs.

Both Y/N and Luke's eyes widened as they looked at Sally, as she continued to smile at them.

Sally: You two have been blaming yourself for too long, and it's been hurting you both more than you realize.

She walks up to them and takes both their hands.

Sally: It's time for you to forgive yourselves and move forward. Don't forget what happened, just don't let it take control of your lives and move forward. And make sure it never happens again. *looks up at them and smiles* Ok?

Both Y/N and Luke stared at Sally. They both smiled with tears in their eyes.

Y/N/Luke: Y-Yea.

Sally smiles as she gently pulls their hands. When she did a smaller version of Luke and Y/N came out as they both were crying.

Little Luke: *crying* S-Sally.

Little Y/N: *crying* I-I'm sorry.

Sally: I'll look after these two, you two just continue living.

Both Y/N and Luke looked at their younger selves and smiled. The two continue to cry and apologist as Sally just sighed.

Sally: Yea yea. I know. Geez I thought boys don't cry.

Sally pulls the two boys to the tree and smiles at everyone.

Sally: See ya.

The three children turn into balls of light and disappear at the top of the tree. Everyone looked up with a smile. Suddenly King appeared holding a mic and standing beside Y/N.

King: And there you have it folks! A happy ending for this year's Grom!

Luke: *confused* Wait *looks around* Where did-

King: Let's give a big shout out to our Grom King, Y/N Dragneel!

Suddenly everyone came out from the forest cheering Y/N. Y/N just scratched the back of his head and let out a chuckle. Luke sighs, not trying to figure out where they came from, and patted Y/N's back.

Luke: *smiles* Good job.

Luz and Amity walked up to him and patted his back.

Amity: Congrats Y/N.

Luz: You did it!

Y/N: *chuckles* Thanks guys.

Suddenly the crowd surrounded Y/N and picked him up and held him over their heads.

Y/N: Whoa! Hehe got to get used to that.

The group giggled and started to walk over to Y/N. Luke started walking but stepped on something.

Luke: *looks down* Huh?

Luke saw two notes that were ripped and balled up. Curious he picked them up and unravel them. Both said "Will you go to Grom with me?", and one note had Luz's name signed at the bottom and the other had Amity's signed. Luke raised an eyebrow until he unraveled the other halfs of the note. They both had one name on it: Y/N. Luke smiled at this and was going to comment until he heard a voice.

Willow: *offscreen* Hey Luke! You coming!?

Luke: Yea! *puts the notes in his pocket* Yea.

He walked over to catch up to the others.

At the Dance floor

Music was playing as everyone was dancing beside their partner or with themselves. Luke watched as Edric was trying to bust some moves, only to fall down repeatedly. Emira would laugh as Luke would chuckle lightly. He would pout and Luke would rub his head making the Blight twin blush. Viney eventually showed up, she was late since she had to help her mother with something. She heard everything and hugged Luked tightly... Much to his protest. Luz was doing a robot dance as everyone was amazed. Amity was sitting down on one of the benches smiling as everyone was enjoying themselves. She then heard someone call out to her.

?: May I have this dance milady?

She turns around and sees a familiar dragon slayer boy smiling at her. She couldn't help but giggle.

Amity: Why so formal?

Y/N: *chuckles* Just trying something new. Want me to stop?

Amity: *giggles* I didn't say that. *stands up and clears her throat* Yes you may.

Amity holds out her hand as Y/N chuckled. He gently took it and took her to the dance floor. Soon a slow saw started to play and everyone was dancing with their partners. Luke was slowly dancing to Emira. Though the older Blight was reeeaally close to him making him blush as he cursed her out in his head. Emira giggled from this and laid her head on his chest. Meanwhile Y/N was dancing with Amity as they swayed along with the song.

Amity: Wow. Good at fighting and dancing

Y/N: Hehe I picked it up a little when I was younger.

Amity couldn't help but giggle as they continued to dance.

Y/N: Amity, thank you.

Amity: *confused* For what?

Y/N: For having my back against Grom.

Amity: *looks down sadly* I didn't really do anything. All I did was put you into danger.

Y/N: That's not true. When I thought I couldn't fight anymore, when I thought everything seemed hopeless, I remember the promise I made to you. That promise that I made to you gave me the strength I needed to fight back.

Amity: *looks at him shocked* R-Really?

Y/N: *smiles* Yea. You my friend Amity. You accepted me, for me. I'll fight for you no matter what.

This caused Amity to blush as she smiled at him. Hearing him say how much she cares for her made her heart flutter. She then buries her head in his chest.

Amity: T-Thank you Y/N.

Y/N chuckled and smiled.

Y/N: Soooo out of curiosity, did you have someone you wanted to go to Grom with?

Amity: *blushes* O-Oh it's not important. Let's just enjoy the dance.

Y/N: *smiles* Fine by me.

The two continue to dance, unknown to them a pouting Luz was watching them.

?: Mad that's not you?

Luz: Of course I ammmmmmmm

Luz turns to see Luke, who was covered in kiss marks around his cheek and neck.

Luz: Uhhhhhh

Luke: Emira. Willow. Viney.

Luz: Ooooooh.

?: We made it!

The two turned and saw Levy and Gajeel walking in. Levy was wearing her blue dress and Gajeel was wearing a black suit.

Luz: Levy!

Levy and Gajeel walk up to Luz and Luke.

Levy: Hey Luz! And Luke!

Gajeel: *whistles* Wow Martins, who got hands on with you?

Luke: *grunts* None of your business.

Both Levy and Luz giggle from this.

Levy: Sorry it took us so long *glares at Gajeel* Someone didn't want to show up!

Gajeel just grunts as he turns his head away. He then saw Y/N dancing with Amity.

Gajeel: Damn look at Salamander. Think she's a biter?

Luke: *shrugs* Maybe.

Both Gajeel and Luke were hit in the head by Luz and Levy.

Gajeel/Luke: Ow!

Y/N overheard this and saw them. He and Amity broke away and were about to walk to his friends until Y/N noticed Amity not moving.

Y/N: You coming Amity?

Amity: I-I'll be here.

Y/N: Are you sure?

Amity: *nods her head* Yea. Don't worry I'll still be around.

Y/N: *smiles* Ok.

Y/N let go of Amity's hand and started walking to his friends. Amity held her hand out for a second then dropped it to her chest. Even if it was for a moment, she started to miss the feeling of him holding on to her. She felt so alone when he left her. She let out a sigh not noticing her siblings walking up to her.

Emira/Edric: Hey mittens.

Amity: *jolts* Where did you two come from!?

Edric: From our mother.

Emira/Amity: *deadpan look* Really?

Edric: *pouts* You two don't know anything about good comedy.

Emira: *rolls her eyes* Anyway, we just got back from dancing. Aah it was magical.

Edric: *sigh* Sis you do realize he was giving you a death glare?

Emira: Oh when hasn't he?

Edric: Good point.

Amity just sighed as she looked over and saw Y/N talking with the others. The twins noticed this and smiled.

Emira: Soooo how was your dance with your prince?

Amity: *blushes* It was *looks down* nice.

Edric: Weeell did you tell him?

Amity: *sighs* No I didn't. It wouldn't matter anyway.

The twins looked at their younger sister for a while.

Edric: Oh come on sis, you can't just give up.

Emira: If you truly love someone you will do anything to be with them.

Amity: *looks at her siblings* But how do I know I truly do?

Emira: Give it time. Soon you'll know.

Amity smiled at her siblings as she thought more about their words.

With Y/N and the others

Levy and Luz went to talk with Willow about the dance as the guys were chatting with each other. After a while Gajeel was starting to get annoyed.

Gajeel: Man this music sucks! I wish they would play something else!

Y/N: *smiles* Well lucky for you we have just the thing.

Both Gajeel and Looked looked at Y/N confused until they heard Gus's voice

Gus: Hey Y/N!

They all turned and saw Gus running up to them.

Gus: Everything is all set up!

Y/N: Perfect!

Gajeel/Luke: All set up?

Y/N: Oh yea! Us four guys are going to be performing!

Gajeel smile as Luke raised an eyebrow

Gajeel/Luke: Really!?/Really?

Y/N: Yep! Let's go!

Y/N and Gus started to go behind the stage as Gajeel and Luke started walking behind them.

Gajeel: Hell yea! That's what I'm talking about!

Luke: Don't I get a say in this?

Luke just lets out a sigh as he continues to walk behind the stage. As everyone was enjoying themselves, the lights started to turn off. Everyone was confused and muttering until they saw a single light pointing to the stage.

The crowd started to cheer as the boys were breathing heavily.

Gajeel: Now that's how you play music!

Gus: That was more fun than I thought!

Luke: *smiles* I guess that was interesting.

Y/N smiled and looked at the crowd. He couldn't help but ve overjoyed from everyone enjoying it.

Cuts to the owl house

Luz was walking into her room as she let out a tired sigh. After the whole Grom thing she was tired. She went to rest at the window steel as she started thinking.

Luz: (In the end we all didn't really face our fears. Maybe I am just useless.)

Suddenly Luz's phone went off. She takes it out of her pocket and looks to see she got a text from her mom: "How was your day? Love Mama! I miss you mija!" She looks at it with a sad look and types a duck emoji. She hovers her thumb on the send button but hesitates for a second. She then erase the duck emoji and types: "Miss you too Mami."

Luz: (I won't lie. Today was kinda hard, and I don't know if I am supposed to be here.

She then remembers Y/N standing up for her which made her blush and smile.

Luz: (But when things got tough my friends helped me out. I think you'd like them.)

She then looked outside and felt the wind blow on her as the moonlight shined at her window. She then heard her phone go off again and looked at the text: "Can't wait! P.S love receiving your letters!"

Luz: Aww that's a cute way of saying text. *noticed something outside* Huh?

Luz looked outside and saw Y/N sitting down at the edge while the wind blew around his hair. He had his eyes closed with a smile on his face as he enjoyed the breeze. Luz looked at him and smiled with a blush on her face.

Luz: *takes a deep breath in and out* Ok Luz, you can do this.

Luz puts her phone down on her bed and heads out.

Y/N was sitting down enjoying the sounds of the waves and the wind. He then heard someone walking up to him as he opened his eyes and turned his head. He was met with Luz standing a few feet away from him.

Y/N: *smiles* Hey Luz.

Luz: *smiles* H-Hey. Do you mind if I sit with you?

Y/N: *shakes his head* Not at all.

Luz walks up to him and sits beside him as they enjoy the ocean view with the bright moonlight.

Y/N: Times like these are nice. aren't they?

Luz: Yea. They are.

The two continue to enjoy the sounds of nature until Luz decides to say something.

Luz: Hey Y/N *looks at Y/N* Can you be honest with me?

Y/N: *looks at Luz* About what?

Luz: Is the reason why you didn't tell me about your fire powers, because you were scared of losing me?

Y/N was hesitant for a second but decided to tell her the truth.

Y/N: *looks at the ocean* Yea. I was always afraid of my fire, because whenever I summon it, it would always hurt people I care for. When I lost Sally I also lost a piece of myself.

Luz: Y/N.

Y/N: Though I had Luke, the two of us knew we were distant from each other. I felt so alone I felt like I didn't belong anywhere.

Luz felt her chest tighten, hearing Y/N say that was hurting her.

Y/N: That was until I met you.

Luz: *surprised* H-Huh?

Y/N: Even though people might have said you were annoying, or that you were weird, you still kept being you ignoring how people felt about you. When we first met and you enjoyed the same stuff I did, I felt like I found someone who truly liked to be around me.

Luz smiled at this.

Y/N: *looks down* The closer we got, the more I wanted to tell you about what happened, about the place my teacher grew up, about... Sally. But... I was scared. Scared that you found out the truth you... would leave me.

Luz let out a small gasp as she saw Y/N with tears in his eyes.

Y/N: The thought of losing you Luz *starts to cry* was too painful for me to bear.

Luz hugged Y/N tight as Y/N let out a small gasp.

Luz: I would never leave you Y/N. You were the first friend I ever made, you helped me when I needed you the most, you accepted me for me. *smiles with tears in her eyes* And I'm grateful to be your friend.

Y/N looked at Luz with a smile and hugged her. The two stayed like this for a while, until they broke the hug and looked at each other.

Y/N: Thank you Luz.

Luz: *giggles* I should be thanking you.

Y/N couldn't help but chuckle. Luz then got up and held her hand out.

Luz: Dance with me.

Y/N: Huh?

Luz: Well you kinda owe me a dance *pouts* Since you got to dance with Amity.

Y/N let out a nervous chuckle as he took Luz's hand and got up. He then pulled out his phone and turned on a song.

The two held each other close, Y/N hands were around Luz's waist, and Luz's hands were around Y/N's neck. The two swayed around the song, smiling and staring at each other. As they danced they couldn't help but remember all the moments they shared together. The times they spend on earth: Picking each other up when they fell, helping each other out, and for some strange reason, images of them in animal costumes. Then they remember the moments in the isles: Meeting new friends, the time at the carnival, and the fight with the group, when they protected each other. All moments the two shared as friends... But for some reason at this moment they felt like there was something else. Something more than just friends.

The two stared at each other for a while. Y/N rested his hand on Luz's cheek as the human girl nuzzled into his hand. She rubbed her hands through Y/N's hair making him smile at her. They both had clear blushes on their faces wondering what the other would do next. Luz started to stand on her tippy toes and closed her eyes. Y/N slowly closed his as they both inched closer to each other. They both had blushes on their faces as their hearts were pounding hard. The closer they got the more they could feel each other's breath. And soon

Crunch!

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH! It was ruined. The two opened their eyes, turned their heads, and saw an awkward Luke just looking at them and waved his hand.

Luke:...Yo.

The two stared at him for a second.

Luke:... So were you two going to kiss oooooor

The two separated with burning blushes on their faces.

Y/N/Luz: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?

Luke: Well besides the fact I live with you people! I'm tired and I was about to go to bed until I saw *gestured to the two of them* that.

Both Y/N and Luz continue to blush madly.

Luke: Again if you two were going to kiss don't let me stop you.

The two were going to respond but only gibberish came out of their mouths. Luke sighed and walked inside the house. Y/N just rubbed the back of his head as Luz rubbed her arm awkwardly.

Y/N: I-I guess we should go to bed.

Luz: Y-Yea.

Y/N started to head inside as Luz looked up at the sky and sighed.

Luz: Another fail huh. *smiles* But I'm not giving up. *walks inside* Not yet anyway.

Luke was inside and sighed as he took out his phone. He saw a text from his mom "Glad camp has been fun. Look after those two ok" Luke smiled from the text until he got another one "P.S Ms. Noceda loves the letters Luz's has been sending her. Send me one when you get a chance." Luke raised an eyebrow.

Luke: (Letters? Ok either that's a old fashion way of saying text, or)

Luke was cut off from his thoughts when heard Y/N coming inside the room.

Luke: Hey.

Y/N: *smiles* Hey

Y/N layed down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. Baby dragon laid on his stomach and yawned.

Y/N: What a day huh?

Luke: Yea. *looks at the widow* Ready to move forward from here?

Y/N: Yea. The past is in the past. She may be gone

Luke: But she isn't truly forgotten.

The two smiled and decided to move on and keep pushing to a better future.

Luke:...So *looks at Y/N* Did you two kiss?

Y/N blushed madly. He put his hands over his face and turned over. Baby dragon fell on the bed and chirped. Y/N rubbed his head as an apology. Luke chuckled from his friend's reaction and looked back at the moonlight.

Back at the School

No one was there. Leftover decorations and food were left out. But suddenly a hooded fellow walked around the gym and looked around. The figure saw nothing but piles of grom as he did a spell circle burning any trace of the creature. There was nothing but ashes that were left as he looked around the floor. From one's perspective it was almost like he was remembering old times here.

?: It's beautiful, you know?

The figure turned around and saw a spirit. This spirit was familiar to all, Y/N's mother.

Y/N's mother: *walks around* You would always tell me stories of the place you grew up in. I had trouble believing them at first. *giggles* I mean a place where they would make kids fight their own fears, and called it tradition. It's kinda unbelievable.

The figure continued to look at the woman.

Y/N's mother: But I could tell you weren't lying. *hands behind her back and sighs* Sometimes I wonder, what life would have been like if we came here together, as a family? Would we be happy or sad? Would we be able to survive being here?

She then smiles at the figure.

Y/N's Mother: But I knew we'd be fine. Because you would be there to protect us. That's what I always loved about you.

She started to fade as the figure stood there for a bit. The cloaked figure turned and started to head out.

Demon: Uhh a little help.

The figure drew a spell circle and blasted the ropes off as the demon fell.

CRASH!

Demon: Thank you.

Zack: Well all's well that ends well.

Zack was in a red void and behind him was Slayer that had a displeased look.

Zack: Funny how the almighty fear bringer had a fear, and that was people no longer being afraid of him. *chuckles* talk about irony. Well in any case, the kid won. And might I add without my help.

Slayer: I hardly call that a win.

Zack: *sighs* Oh here we go. *turns around and faces Slayer* Look, why are you being so stubborn!? The kid beat grom didn't he!?

Slayer: He didn't do it on his own.

Zack: *gibberish* Are you kidding me!? Our deal was if he beat Grom you'd help him!

Slayer: I agreed if he beat grom and faced his fears then I would help him.

Zack: Oh no no no! Don't you dare add anything extra to it! You said if he beat Grom and nothing else!

Slayer let out a growl as he turned away from Zack.

Zack: Look, sometimes we can't truly face our fears, the best we can do is push them aside so they don't continue to drag us down.

Slayer: Sounds like cowardly talk.

Zack: Are you kidding!?

Slayer: He had his friends help him. Only the truly weak get help from others.

Zack: Well call me a weakling then! Cause we both know without my friends I would have ended up dead a long time ago!

Slayer lets out another growl.

Zack: Oh my titan! Why are you like this!? I know for a fact, other people who wielded you, also depended on the help of others! You never gave them a hard time! All I'm asking is for you to help the kid when he needs it!

Slayer had enough as he turned to Zack

Slayer: *eyes glowing red* I WILL NEVER HELP HIS KIND!

The void around them started to vibrate and shake, but Zack was unfazed as he had his arms crossed.

Zack: So that's what this is about?

Slayer continue to glare at Zack

Zack: Just like other soldiers, you are bound. When are you going to let the hate go and move forward?

Slayer just glared until the demon sat up and turned away.

Slayer: This conversation is over. That kid is not worthy of wielding my power and I will never accept him as the owner of this blade.

Slayer started to disappear leaving Zack by himself. Zack let out a sigh and just stared at the void.

Zack: History of hatred has affected you. Funny how you hate him even though you are made from the same scales of those you hate. And yet you don't realize you've helped him more times than you think. *sighs and looks at the void* Sorry Y/N. Slayer is a tough one to crack, but one day I know this big bad demon will accept you. *smiles* You've made me so proud.

The scene cuts to Y/N sleeping with a peaceful smile on his face.

Zack: My student.

In the black room

Luke and the little demon were sitting across from each other. They both were drinking coffee sitting in silence.

Luke: Welp that was something.

Little Demon: Indeed.

There was a brief silence.

Little Demon:... Luke.

Luke looked up and saw the demon looking down.

Little Demon:...Are you afraid of me?

Luke:...Yea.

Little Demon: Why?

Luke: *sigh* Because you're stronger than me. All I can do is hold you at bay as best as I can.

Little Demon:...I see.

For some odd reason Luke could hear a bit of sadness in his voice. The little demon gets up and starts to walk out.

Little Demon: Sleep well Luke... You've earned it.

The demon starts to walk out and disappears into the void. Luke sat there alone in the room as he let out a sigh.

Bonus Scene

As Eda was laying down with King on her stomach, she smiled at him and then frowned a bit when she remembers Grom.

FlashBack

Eda was being held up by Grom, who took the form of the person she loved: Igneel Dragneel.

Grom Igneel: What's wrong Owlet? I thought you wanted to see me?

Eda just choked out grunts as she glared dagger at Grom. Grom smiled as he threw her against another tree. Eda hit the tree hard as she coughed up blood. She fell down coughing up a storm.

Grom Igneel: You see me, now what? What do you want?

Eda: *pants* Y-You're not *cough* real.

Grom Igneel: *smirks* I'm real enough to finish you.

As Grom Igneel charged at Eda with full force, until a fireball came out of nowhere, hitting the creature. It burns Grom as it screams in pain. Eda sits up and watches as the creature starts to burn away until it's nothing but ashes.

Eda: T-That wasn't me.

When everything was over she looked around trying to find out who did, but sadly she was by herself with no one there. Suddenly an explosion broke her out of her thoughts.

Eda: Kid!

Eda runs to were Y/N and the others were.

End of Flashback

Eda was back laying on the couch.

Eda: (Who was that?)

Picture Scene

A was shown on the screen titled "Grom Activities". The pages flip showing students either with their friends or with their partners. The pages flip to Luke with his hands in his pocket smiling at the camera. The page turns again this time Luke with Willow as she rested her head on his shoulder, with a deep blush on her face, while Luke rubbed her head. The page flipped again this time with Emira, dangerous close to Luke. Luke had a mixture of annoyance and accepted, while Emira, had a smile on her face, and Willow was pounting from the whole scene. The next page showed Luke, Edric, Emira, and Willow. Edric rested his head on Luke shoulder, Willow, who was still recovering from Emira's outburst, had her head on Luke's other shoulder, and Emira, who was on top of Lukes head. They all smiled, though Luke had a small smile with a tired look.

The next page showed Y/N, striking a pose, smiling at the camera. The page turned with Luz beside him holding up a sign that read, "Grom King". She had a big smile on her face while Y/N was chuckling in the picture. The next picture showed Y/N seeing people who he wanted to invite to the picture. The next picture showed Y/N's arms around Luz and Amity's neck as he pulled them close to him. Both girls had a burning blush on their faces but smiled. Gus, Willow, Gajeel, and Levy were in the picture. Gus had a microphone, close to his mouth, as he was shouting with joy, Willow did a peace sign with a big smile on her face, Levy smiled brightly as her arms was around Gajeel, and Gajeel looked like he was annoyed, but still had a small smile on his face as he also did a peace sign.

The next few picture showed Y/N, Luke, Edric, Gajeel, and Gus. All the boys had their hands in their pockets and had shades on. Both Y/N and Gus had a small smile, while Gajeel, Edric, and Luke smirked. A banner title: "Cool guys". The next one had all the girls standing making cute faces. Finally the three friends were together smiling: Luz was in the middle with a big smile on her face, Y/N was at her right side smiling happily, and Luke was on the left with a small smile. Even though it was rough at the beginning, this was the group's best night ever.

(A/n: BOOM! I promised you guys 2 chapters and I hit y'all with two chapters! I ain't going to lie this was a chapter I was really excited to write!

So first we can see what was always bothering Y/N and Luke, the death of sadly effected them badly. They both were to scared to get close to others cause they were worried they would die by there hands. But the two boys now they can't keep living in fear, they have to move forward and make sure it will never happened again.

The fear for Luz and Amity, Whoa boy doing that was a hard one, mostly because I had a hurt time bringing myself to write it. But yea that's the girls fear, not only getting rejected but Y/N choosing the other and staying in that realm. But the question remains will Y/N stay in the Demon Realm or we he return to the human Realm with his friends.

There was some stuff I'm proably going to make a little short about such as: Where did Luke sword come from?
