Lady Carina Fenring is a woman trained in the teachings of Bene Gesserit. She and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen entered into a contract long ago, with him promising to help her exact her revenge upon the Great Houses and the Bene Gesserit for orchestrating her kidnapping and upbringing in the harsh and brutal teachings of the organization.

Feyd-Rautha wins the dule instead of Paul Atreides, and the Emperor offers him Princess Irulan's hand in marriage.

The true events of Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah and Children of Dune are here revealed as free as possible from the historical misrepresentations of the documents which inspired those accounts. Don't expect a consistent update pattern, although chapters will be continuously released. More Dune-inspired and other stories should follow once I acquire the time.

After a Fremen raid on a Harkonnen Spice Harvester goes terribly wrong, a badly injured Paul Atreides is trapped in the open sands, along with Chani, Stilgar and their troop of Fedaykin. Unable to return to the safety of Sietch Tabr, they fight for their survival in the harsh desert of Arrakis, facing storms, sandworms, Harkonnens and other dangers on their journey.

The evening after the battle at Arrakeen, Paul Atreides feels the loss of his beloved Chani, and slips away to collect his thoughts, reflect on the terrible future that is yet to come and take the first step down the path that has been pre-determined for him.

This story has the recent Dune movies parts 1 and 2 in mind. Most of the writings that I'll do will be centered around Paul's and Chani's evolving relationship. There will be some deviations from the movie though. Its been awhile since I've done this, so I'm a bit rusty. The Dune movies got me charged back up to do some writing again. Lady Jessica worries her son may be more seriously injured than she thought. Set immediately after the ending of Part Two, this story deals with the aftermath of Paul's fulgurant ascension to power.
