It was night time at the Boiling Isles, the camera slowly showed the house of the Blight family. It slowly shows what the Blight family were up to: The twins were in their rooms, Emira had a big smile on her face with a tiny blush. Edric was looking at her sister confused and every time he tried asking her why she was so happy, she would respond saying she has become a woman. This only further confused him. The scene cuts to the basement, Alador was busy working on more abomination projects while Odalia was going on a whole rant about what happened at Blight industries. Then we cut to the youngest Blight room: Amity Blight. She was looking out at the window with a lot on her mind. She starts to remember the fight Y/N had with the abomiton and the rest of her fathers abominations. She couldn't believe how strong he's gotten. She heard that he went through training but never thought he got this strong. The young Blight couldn't help but admire him.

The more she thought about it the more she couldn't help but wonder how strong she had become. Sure she was able to slow the abomiton down, but she wondered if she could bet it. If she could, does that mean she was on par with Y/N or was she stronger than him? She started to ask herself is there a way to test that. Suddenly she started to remember the promise Y/N made to her.

Y/N:Let's fight again sometime. All out, no tricks. Just the two of us showing our strength.

Amity looked down at her hand and squeezed it. The young Blight looked up at the moonlight with a determined look and knew what she had to do.

The next day

The screen opens up at the owl house. Everyone was in the living room enjoying the peace and quiet: Eda was drinking some apple blood, King and baby dragon was playing, Luz and Lilith were working on some glyphs, Luke was reading his book listening to music, and Y/N was working out.

Luke: *looks over at Y/N* Do you have to do that in here?

Y/N: *doing sit ups* Hehe... Can't help it... Just had to...

Luke just lets out a sighs

Eda: *drinks some of her apple blood* Ahh just let the kid be.

Luz: *looks at Luke* Yea it's not like he's hurting anyone.

Luke: Uh-huh.

Hooty: *opens the door* Hoot Hoot! Guess who's here?

This got everyone's attention as they looked who came inside.

Y/N: *gets up from the floor* Amity?

Amity: *waves* Hello everyone.

Baby dragon rushes over to Amity and starts rubbing her leg. This made the young Blight giggle as she rubbed the baby's head making him purr.

Luz: Amity, what brings you here?

Amity doesn't say anything at first, she just walks over to Y/N and stops in front of him. She takes a deep breath and looks up at him

Cut to Hexside

The scene opens up to the grudgby field at Hexside. The stands were full of students all around chatting. Because a certain fight was about to happen.

"Amity vs the dragon slayer!"

"Who do you think is going to win? My money is on Amity."

"Are you kidding? The dragon slayer was able to go toe to toe with the emperor!"

"Yea well, Amity has more years in experience then he does"

"That may be true."

Elsewhere in the stands Luz and her friends were sitting at the front ready for the fight.

Levy: *looks around* I can't believe this many people showed up.

Willow: Well, it is the top student vs the son of Igneel.

Gus: Who wouldn't show up?

Levy: Fair enough.

Edric: Oh man, I'm so excited! *looks at Emira* Who are you cheering for?

Emira: Mittens duh, she's our little sister.

Edric: True, but still

Emira: Edric!

Edric: Kidding! Kidding!

Luz: I still can't believe Amity challenges Y/N to a witches duel.

Luke: At least this time we aren't losing anything.

Luz: Luke!

Luke: *shrugs his shoulder* I'm just saying.

Eda: I can't believe the hall we made.

Everyone looked over and saw Eda carrying a bag full of snails.

Eda: We are going to be good for a long time.

Lilith: *sighs and rubs her temple* Was it necessary to make this a paid event?

Eda: Hey nothing comes for free! Besides who doesn't like a good kid fight.

Luke: Our teacher ladies and gentlemen.

Gajeel: So how did this happen again?

Luke/Luz: Wellll...

Flashback

A few hours ago

Amity: *determined look* I challenge you to a witches duel.

Everyone: *shocked* What!?

Hooty: *pokes his head out* Hoot!?

Y/N: Wait wait wait! I thought everything was cool between us! Unless I er miss understand something.

Luke: *deadpan look at Y/N* Don't you always?

Y/N: *looks at Luke hurt* That was uncalled for!

Amity: It's not that. [everyone looked at Amity] It's not because I hate you, it's just... I want to see how strong you've gotten.

Luke: (That's a way to do it.)

Lilith: *walks beside her* Appreciate, are you sure you want to do this?

Amity looked at Lilith and then back at Y/N.

Amity: Yes I do.

Everyone was shocked by Amity's determination.

Y/N: *scratches the back of his head* W-Well I guess so.

Eda: *walks beside them* Alright then *holds them both by the shoulder* But if we are going to do this we have to do it right.

Everyone but Eda: Meaning?

End of Flashback

Luke: And that's how we ended up here.

Eda: *rubs the snail back* Ahhh what a good investment.

Lilith: How did you convince principal Bump to host this event?

King: Oh that's easy.

Flashback

Eda was at the grudgby field talking to Bump.

Bump: *rubs in between his eyes* Let me get this straight: You want me to host a fight between my top student and the son of Igneel and have my students pay to watch it?

Eda: *nods her head* Yep.

King: *pops out of her hair* Pretty cool huh?

Bump: *cross his arms* And what do I get out of this?

Eda: *leans on her staff* The wonderful joy of your students battling and learning on how to improve.

Bump looks at Eda with a raised eyebrow and an unconvinced look.

Eda: *groans* Fine 50% of the snails we make.

Bump: 70% and it's a deal.

Eda: *flabbergasted* What 70!?

Bump: Do you want me to make it 80?

Eda:... *shakes Bumps hand* 70 it is.

Flashback Ended

The group just stared at Eda.

Eda:... Don't judge me.

Luke: Hard not to.

Bump: *slowly makes his way to the center* Students of hexside! Today's witches duel will consist of two strongest witches of hexside.

The crowd started to cheer.

Gajeel: *grows a tick mark* Strongest!?

Levy: Well you did lose to Y/N.

Gajeel: It was a draw!

Bump: For our first fighter: She is the top student of hexside and the youngest of the Blight family: Amity Blight!

Amity slowly started to walk out to the center of the grudgby field. The crowd started to cheer for her as she waved at them.

Bump: And her opponent: The son of Igneel Dragneel: Y/N Dragneel!

Y/N slowly started walking to the center as the crowd cheered. He let out a smile as he waved at the crowd. Soon the two met in the middle and stared at each other.

Y/N: *smiles* Let's have a good match.

Amity: *smiles at him and nods* Yea *smirks and cracks her knuckles* But I don't plan to lose.

Y/N: *smirks* Hehe, *rolls his shoulders* Neither do I.

Bump: *looks at both of them* Are both components ready? [Both of them nodded their heads] Alright... Begin!

Amity dashed at Y/N. Y/N saw her rushing at her and pulled his arm back and went for a punch. Amity quickly dodged it and drew a spell circle. Abomination goo surrounded her hand and transformed it into a fist. The young Blight went for an upper cut but Y/N quickly jumped back to avoid it.

Y/N: (So fast.)

Y/N skatted on the ground creating some distance between the two. Amity dispelled the abomination around her and drew another spell. As Y/N came to a stop a shadow appeared under him. He turns around and his eyes widen when he sees a giant abomination towering above him. The abomination surrounded him, trapping him into a ball. The crowd watched and cheered.

"Woo!"

"She was able to trap him!"

Edric: Yea Amity!

Luke: She's definitely has improved since the last time they fought.

Gajeel: I'll say she's not as weak.

Levy smacked Gajeels head making the iron dragon slayer rub his head. Amity stood there with the spell circle still casted watching from afar. She glared at the orb Y/N was trapped in and for a second she thought that it was over... Until

BOOM!

A flame fist stuck out on the top. Y/N punched a hole in the goo and broke out as he flew in the air. He looked down at Amity with a smirk. She looked up at him and smirked back. She then split the spell in two, as both spell circles were around her wrist. The abomination orb turned into goo, then it turned into two arms and launched itself at Y/N. Y/N quickly moved to the left, in the air, avoiding one of the fist. The other one came from the right, making him dodge and run on the arm toward Amity. Amity sees Y/N coming, squeezes her fist as spikes start to appear on the abomination arm. Y/N quickly avoids the spikes and then jumps off one of the towards Amity. He holds up a flame fist ready to strike her. Quick on her feet Amity made an abomination shield as it shielded her from the flame fist.

This resulted in a giant wave of magic energy spreading around the field. Some of the crowd had to shield their eyes from the force.

Willow: *shielding her eyes* Whoa!

Gus: *shielding his eyes* T-This is crazy!

Soon their spells canceled each other out, making Y/N fall back in the air and Amity step back. But Amity quickly recovers and summoned a spear charging at Y/N. Y/N lands on the ground, takes his sword out and dashes at Amity. The two collided in the middle creating the ground below them to crack. The two stared at each other: Y/N smirking at Amity and Amity with an unhappy expression on her face.

Amity: (...Why?)

The two separated and started attacking each other with multiple attacks. It got to the point where the crowd couldn't keep up. All they could see was red and purple magic attacking each other.

Amity: *frustrated* (...Why?)

Soon the two clashed in the middle again making the dust around them vanished. The two pulled back, skatted on the ground and looked at each other.

Y/N: *smirks* Hehe not bad *puts his sword on his shoulder* I got to say Am, you've gotten better.

Amity didn't say anything. Her hair was covering her eyes as she started to clench her teeth.

Amity: (Why!?)

Amity then clenched her spear and looked at Y/N with an angry expression. This caught Y/N attention as he looked at her confused. He was going to ask what was wrong but was caught off guard when Amity threw her spear at him. He quickly brought his sword out and was about to slice it in half but the spear became goo and fell on the ground.

Y/N: (What the-)

Before Y/N could say anything multiple spikes came out from the goo. It trapped Y/N keeping him from moving.

Y/N: W-Whoa *looks at Amity* Got to say I wasn't-

Amity: *yells in frustration* WHY!?

This made everyone in the crowd go quiet.

Amity: Why are you doing this!?

Y/N: Uhh what do you-

Amity: I mean why aren't you giving it your all!? Why are you holding back!?

Y/N stayed quiet.

Amity: Are you worried that you'll hurt me!? Are you worried that I won't be able to keep up!? I didn't challenge you for you to only use half or even some of your strength! I challenge you so you can give me everything you got! I want to see how far not only you've come but for how far I've come as well! I can't do that if you just continue to treat this as a joke!

Y/N: I-I-

Amity: *squeezes her fist* Not only that... You... You *looks at him* You promised that the next time we fought, we should give it everything we both have!

Y/N's eyes widened. He slowly started to remember the promise

Amity: I want you to show me your full power! Give me everything you got Y/N!

Y/n was quiet for a second as he looked down. His hair was shadowing his eyes. Everyone looked at him wondering what he was going to do next.

Luz: Y/N.

Everything was quiet until Y/N said something.

Y/N:... Lightning flame Dragon mode.

Suddenly fire started to surround Y/N burning the abomination goo to ashes. Not only that, lighting started to appear around Y/N's fire and body. The crowd watched in shock of Y/N's new appearance.

Amity looked at it and was shocked to see. What shocked her more is when Y/N looked up at her, his right eye was burning red and his left eye was shining blue.

Y/N:What's wrong?

Everyone noticed the difference in Y/N's voice.

Y/N:You wanted me at my best, well here it is. You're not backing out are you?

Amity stood there for a second to gather her thoughts. She then slaps her cheeks and looks at Y/N with a determined look.

Amity: I'm not. *takes a fight stance* I'm ready.

Y/N gives Amity a smile and gets into a fighting stance.

Luke: *smirks* Now the real fight begins.

Amity: *draws a spell circle* Abomination Rise!

A giant spell circle appeared behind Amity, and a giant abomination emerged from it. Y/N had to look up at it as it toward above him. The abomination let out a groan as it glared at Y/N. Y/N looked down at Amity and stared at her for a second.

Y/N:...*smirks* (She's grown.)

Amity reeled her arm back and went for a punch, the abomination copied her movements and threw a punch at Y/N. Y/N crouches down and then

CRACK!

A giant crack formed under him as he dodged the abominations fist. The fist collided with the ground, destroying it as dust and derby scattered around the field. Soon it all cleared up and Amity noticed Y/N was gone.

Amity: (Where did he-)

Suddenly Amity heard electricity and looked up and saw Y/N in the air. She commanded her abomination to strike him. The giant abomination went for another punch at Y/N, but Y/N countered it with his own. This created a giant clash for a brief second, but Y/N won and the abomination's hand was burnt to a crisp. Everyone watched in shock at what just happened. Amity was surprised for a second but quickly recovered.

Amity: Not done yet!

Amity quickly drew a spell and slammed it on the ground. The giant abomination turned into blades heading straight for Y/N. Y/N quickly dodged them one after another. He then jumps off them leaving blue lightning streaks.

Amity: (S-So fast)

So Amity lost sight of Y/N. She tried to look for him but she heard electricity behind her. Y/N had his fist reeled back and was about to punch Amity, however the Blight quickly resummoned her giant abomination. It had both his hands over his head and was about to strike Y/N.

Luz: Y/N!

Y/N: *inhales*LIGHTING FLAME DRAGON: ROAR!

A giant breath attack hit the abomination head on creating a giant explosion. Everyone had to shield their eyes from the explosion. Soon the dust started to settle and everyone un shielding their eyes.

Gus: What happened!?

Willow: Where are they!?

Amity was recovering from the attack. She was breathing heavily. She thought she was going to die from the attack. It took her a while but she slowly started to get her vision back. Once she did, she saw Y/N fist was close to her face. The screen slowly started to show Y/N, still in his lightning-flame dragon form, with his fist directly in front of Amity's face.

Y/N:Do you give up?

Amity: *stays silent for a bit*... *lifts up her hands* I give up.

Y/N smiled at her and turned off his lighting flame dragon mode. His eyes started to change back to normal.

Y/N: *Boops her nose* Boop.

Amity: Hey! *chuckles* I already gave up.

Y/N: *chuckles* I know, I just wanted to get one more hit in.

Amity just giggled as Y/N chuckled.

Bump: Students of Hexside, the winner is Y/N Dragneel!

The crowd started to go crazy.

Y/N: *puts his hand out* That was a good fight Amy.

Amity: *stares at his hand and smiles* Yea *takes his hand* it was.

Y/N just chuckled. He remembers the last time she and him fought she didn't want to shake his hand. But now he could tell she's changed, not only personality but strength.

The scene cuts to the end of the school day. Y/N and the others were outside the gates of Hexside.

Y/N: *stretches* Man that was a good fight!

Luke: *crosses his arms* It was over a few hours ago.

Y/N: Still a good fight!

Luke just rolled his eyes and sighed.

Luz: You were amazing out there Y/N.

Y/N: *chuckles* Thanks Luz, at least someone appreciates me.

Luke just grumbles, making everyone chuckle/giggle.

Amity: *offscreen* Hey.

Everyone turned and saw Amity walking up to them.

Y/N: Amity!

Amity: That was a great match Y/N.

Y/N: Agreed *smiles* Let's do it again sometime.

Amity: *blushes from his smile* Yea.

Amity holds her hand out as Y/N smiles and takes it. The group couldn't help but smile for the two. They remembered how much they didn't get along. Seeing two people going from hating each other to liking each other was nice to see. Though Amity did something that caught everyone else off guard.

Chu!

She had suddenly kissed Y/N on his check. This got different reactions from the group: Y/N was a blushing mess, Willow let out a gasp and had her hands over her mouth, Gus had his eyes opened wide, Levy was busy fangirling out, Luke smirked at the whole scene, Gajeel raised his eyebrow, and finally Luz.

Luz: *gritting her teeth and muttering* [Well played Blight, well played]

Amity: *pulls away and gives Y/N a smirk* Never got my hit in *winks at him* See ya.

Amity started to walk away leaving Y/N a blushing mess. She held her hand close to her chest and couldn't get her heartbeat back to normal.

Amity: (Why did I do that!? Why did I do that!? Why did I do that!? Why did I do that!?)

The young Blight was busy having a panic attack in her head. Somewhat regretting what she did. But at the same time a part of her was happy she did that.

(A/N: BOOOOM! Short is out!

Amity decided to fight Y/N to fuifilled the promise the two made, not only that to see how strong she has become. As seen Y/N was holding back but saw how frustrated she was from him doing it. So he decided to start fighting forreal. But the girl wasn't going down without a fight.

Overall this was to show that Amity can still keep up with Y/N somewhat.

Also she made a bold move by kissing him on the cheek, what happeneds next?
