Chapter 3: Getting to know one another
While making letters and creating posters and picket signs, the hotel residents and IMP have been getting to know each other.
"So how did you all know Sir Pentious?" Moxxie asked.
"Well lets see, the first time he came here, he was trying to pick a fight with Alastor." Charlie was the first to answer.
"Then he lost to him, as Alastor was having fun destroying his ship." Vaggie said.
"Why he was trying to pick a fight with the Radio Demon?" Moxxie asked, with his eyes raised in confusion.
"Because he was hoping that if he defeated Alastor in a fight, then the Vees would notice him and they would ask him to join them as their new partner and Overlord. And because he idol them as well." Angel Dust answered Moxxie's question.
"Oh, oh." Moxxie looked a little bit downcast but also shocked that his idol used to idol the Vees, the three worst Overlords in Hell, ever!
"Then he came back to the hotel, telling Charlie and Vaggie that he wants to stay in the hotel and wish to be redeemed, which she believes him, but we were unaware that he was sent by Vox, one of the Vees and a TV Overlord to spy on the hotel for unknown reasons." Said Husk as he was making posters with Angel Dust and ignoring the butterfly in his stomach each time their fingers touches.
"But of course, Vox's plan failed miserable when Angel Dust expose Pentious as the spy by showing one of his hidden cameras." Alastor added as he is helping Niffty making flyers.
"The poor guy started panicking and begged Vox to rescue him, but the flat faced jerk just abandoned him." Angel Dust continued.
"We were going to beat the living shit out of him, but Charlie stepped in and decided to give him a second chance by singing her 'It's Starts With Sorry' song and that got him to try redemption for real." Vaggie finished.
"That was beautiful." Moxxie got all teary eyed.
"I still don't like that song; it made him not being a bad boy anymore." Niffty huffed.
"Sorry, Niffy. He didn't want to die, and he really did want to give the hotel a chance along with redemption." Charlie apologized to Niffy who is still upset that Sir Pentious didn't became a bad boy anymore.
"And who knows maybe when a new guest arrived at the hotel, that guest could be a bad boy." Said Cherri Bomb as she is helping Frank making flyers and trying not to make a mess.
"Ooh, you're right. " Niffy giggled maniacally at the thought of meeting a new bad boy in the hotel. Hopefully, he continues being a bad boy.
"She really like bad boy, doesn't she?" Millie whisper to Cherri Bomb.
"She really does, to the point she would rip a piece of their hair or fur off and added them to her 'collection'. Cherri Bomb replied, remembering the time at the club, where she ripped a piece of fur from Valentino and he deserve it.
"Collection? She has a collection of hair and fur of the bad boys she met?" Blitz asked, feeling a little bit uncomfortable and somewhat nervously of Niffy now.
Everybody nodded their heads, expect for Lucifer who was unaware of Niffy's collection of bad boys.
"And what does she do with it?" Moxxie asked in curiosity and fear.
"You don't want to know. Trust me" Husk letting a poster dry after using glue on it.
"So, Blitz, what do you and your friends and Loona do?" Angel Dust asked as he put some glitter on his poster.
"Um..." Blitz froze up a bit, this is the part that he is afraid of answering that question. Even with the crystal now, he knows what he is doing is still somewhat illegal since he didn't actually go through the proper channels to start up his own business.
Loona, Millie, and Moxxie know that look on Blitz's face. If he does tell them, they will be in a lot of trouble, especially with the King of Hell in their presence, plus they will lose their new friends.
Then Emily took up his hand and gave it a comfort squeeze. She looks at him with her sweet smile, letting him know that it's going to be alright. Blitz felt a calming sensation when Emily touched his hand. "It's okay, Blitz." She tells him. For some reason, he trusts her.
So he decides to tell them the truth. He took a deep breath and said, "We are an assassination company."
Everyone stop what they are doing and looked at Blitz. The imp can sense the judgement and a bit of anger in their eyes, especially from Lucifer, Charlie, and Vaggie.
"You guys are what?" Vaggie asked with a touch of anger in her voice.
Moxxie takes this one to help defend his boss. "We take on assassination jobs for sinners who somehow got wronged in life by those who wronged them."
Millie decided to take a stand. "Now hold, before you all get all judgmental and jump at us. Yes, what we are doing is technically wrong and somewhat 'illegal', but if you y'all look at it in a different angle, what we are doing is pretty much good for the community. In a way, we are helping the sinners who we believe got the wrong end of the stick when they were alive, and they deserve the justice they should have."
"But killing is wrong, it goes against what we stand for in this hotel." Charlie debated, but still trying to be nice about it.
"Yeah, maybe to you, but think about the sinners that we are helping." Loona steps in. "Do you think they deserve to be in Hell? They were probably just good people who made a few mistakes or accuse of something that they didn't do, and boom somehow gotten ended up in here."
"Yes." This time, it was Moxxie's turn. "We have this one client named Rita Mayberry. She used to be teacher who is a good person. She was kind and thoughtful. All her students loved her. Then one day, she caught her husband cheating on her with some other woman. She became so furious that she drove back home and killed them. But she felt so guilty for what she did, she killed herself. What's worst that her students saw the whole thing on her computer. It left them traumatized, probably for life."
Millie takes over. "So she came to us and told us her side of the story about how the adulteress some how survived and everyone else started praising her as a hero. She hired us to take her down."
"When we got to her home, I was hesitant because she has a family, a husband and two kids. I felt bad for trying to kill her." Moxxie admitted.
"Turns out that she and her family are cannibals, so that makes it easier for us." Millie exclaimed. "So Blitz and I took down the bitch and Moxxie, even though he still feels bad about it, got the husband and her creepy kids, exploded in their home."
"Please everyone, don't be mad at Blitz and his friends." Emily defends them.
"But Emily, they are assassins for hire." Vaggie reminded her.
"Yes, I know, Blitz told me about it when he brought me here." She looked at Blitz.
"Wait, you knew?" Vaggie asked incredulously.
"Yes, he was being honest with me after I was being honest with him when I told I was cast out of Heaven. I don't like what they are doing either, but Blitz was the one who helped me. If it wasn't for him, I would've still been pinned down or be killed by someone else. Plus, if you think about it, what they are doing is a service."
"It's okay Emily, I think they have made up their minds about us already." Blitz put his hand on Emily's shoulder but has a sad look on his face. "I am sorry that I caused you guys any trouble, and I understand if you don't want anything to do with us, but it's nice meet you all. So, we'll just leave and none of you we'll see us again. Come you guys."
Just as Blitz and company were about to leave, they were stopped by the Radio Demon. "Not so fast, my good man." Alastor appeared before them. "It seems we might have a golden opportunity here."
"What do you mean, Alastor?" Charlie asked. She knows that he is up to something.
"Why a chance to make a business deal with them, my dear." Alastor confirmed.
"What kind of a deal?" Blitz asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It's quite simple really, I'm surprised that no one has even thought about yet." Alastor answered as he straightens his bowtie.
"Exactly what you are getting at?" Vaggie knows whatever Alastor mentions a deal, it can't be good.
"Why, becoming partners with them, of course."
"What?" Both the Hazbin Hotel and IMP were shocked when Alastor suggested the idea.
"Think about it. What if they send us the sinners that hired them to the hotel. They can do the jobs that they are hired, and we can help redeem those sinners?"
Everybody looked silent, even Vaggie.
Alastor is right, being partners with the IMP would help them bring more sinners to the hotel and helping them redeem and to mention, it would...
"It would also help Sir Pentious in Heaven, and it would prevent him from getting kicked out. And not to mention, Heaven would see that all Sinners can be redeem, not just Pentious but others as well." Moxxie looked at Alastor then everybody else.
It like Moxxie has understand what everybody was thinking and said it out loud.
"Moxxie is right, if we made a deal with you and become partners with the Hazbin Hotel. We will be helping a lot of sinners that will have a second chance to go Heaven. After all," Blitz looked at Emily. "Sinners deserved a chance to go to Heaven."
Emily looked surprised but slowly a smile appears on her face, and she could feel tears in her eyes. And slowly everybody agree it is a good opportunity, even Lucifer and Vaggie.
"I'm glad you agree with me. So, do we all agree working with the IMP will help us bring more sinners and helping them redeem? If so, raise your hands." Alastor taps his thin cane with a sentient vintage style microphone attached to it.
Everybody including Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona raise their hands, even Lucifer. All expect Vaggie who is hesitated to raise their hands. She doesn't think it a good idea to become partners with the IMP who killed peoples on earth thus bringing more sinners on Hell.
But seeing her girlfriend and Emily raise their hands, agreeing with Alastor along with determination in their eyes. She knows Charlie and Emily really want Sinners to go to Heaven and help Sir Pentious as well. She can't let her girlfriend's dream down or make Emily sad.
Vaggie let out sigh and slowly raise her hand as well. Charlie turns to her girlfriend and give her a smile. Knowing how happy she is that she agrees with them. Vaggie give her a soft smile as well, but deep down, she isn't happy about it.
"Now that we all agree being partners with the IMP, how we go back making posters and flyers for Sir Pentious?" Alastor said.
"Yeah, we should. For Pentious." Moxxie went back to the posters he was making, and his wife followed him and join in as well. So did Blitz, Loona, and Emily.
And soon everybody went back making the posters and flyers, while Vaggie isn't happy agreeing to become partners with the IMP, but she hope they don't betrayed her and ruined Charlie's dream and helping Emily to save Pentious in Heaven.
Because if they do...Vaggie clenches one of her hands. Then they are going to regret coming here and the imp named Blitz saving Emily.
"I'm glad you guys didn't leave the hotel and for agreeing becoming partners with Charlie, her dad, her girlfriend and her friends." Emily looked at Blitz with a soft smile. "I know you guys will do a wonderful job bringing the sinners to the hotel so we could redeem them."
Blitz could feel his cheeks turning light pink.Wow, she looked so cute and beautiful when she smiles."Y-you're welcome and I'm glad we stayed too to help you guys save Pentious from getting kicked out from Heaven." Blitz sheepishly smiles back at Emily.
As Blitz and Emily smiles at each other, Millie is looking at them and is squealing in the inside, she could sense something between her boss and their new friend Emily. And whatever is, she will sure make it happened and come true.
After all, Blitz deserved somebody who truly love him, and won't break his heart, like that asshole cruel Stolas did.
Now, the hotel is filled with chattering as the residents and Charlie are talking about Pentious time in the hotel and what he did to Blitz, Loona, Moxxie, and Millie while they are making posters and flyers.
Charlie hopes the #JusticeForPentious will not only be captured everybody in Hell and other Rings but Heaven as well.
I hope we save Pentious in time before he get kicked out from Heaven. He did a wonderful job to protect us and the hotel from Adam and the Exorcists and he has the right to stay in Heaven.Charlie looked at the picture of Pentious with determination in her eyes.We will help you, Pentious!
At Stolas's mansion~
"Via, my sweet owlette. How would you like to come shopping with me, Lance, Vassago and Verosika? It would be a good idea for you to bond with Lance and get to know him better."
I would rather babysit a herd of wild hellhogs."Sure, Dad, that would be fun." Octavia put her best smile so that she won't dissapoint her father.
"Splendid, ooh I just knew the two of you will get along." Stolas hugged his daughter, which made her smile for real. This could be the only nice moment she'll ever have. "Now I'll go change and I'll see you at the living room." The Stolas leaves humming to himself.
A few mintues later, she arrived in the living room and sees her Uncle Vassago also waiting. "So, you decided to join us."
"Well, maybe it won't so bad." Octvavia sits next to Vassago. "I did get a hug from Dad. It was the most pleasant and comforting thing he did since that time in L.A. In the human world."
"Who knows, perhaps this little shopping trip would might be enjoyable." Vassago reasssured Octavia until Stolas and Lance appeared. Stolas was wearing his usual casual clothes, but Lance was wearing an open Hawiian shirt with nothing underneath and daisy duke denim shorts and yellow flip flops.
"Alright everybody let's go." Stolas announced in a singy songy voice.
"Yeah, we don't want to keep Verosika waiting." Lance said in his chad-like manner.
"Then again, I could be wrong from time to time." Both Vassago and Octavia are appalled by Lance's choice of outfit. "Oh God, I wish that Moxxie guy was here with is medicine bag."
Back at the Hotel while everyone was working on the Justice4Pentious campaign, Charlie notices that everyone looks tired and bored from making the posters and flyers, even Moxxie looks a bit disinterested, and the campaign was his idea. "Okay everyone, I think it's time we take a break."
Everyone let out a sigh of relief as they start rubbing their wrists and stretching their backs, arms, and legs and mumbling things like "Finally." and "My arms are getting tired." and "I think my legs are asleep." and "my wrists are hurting." Then Charlie looks toward Emily. "Say Emily, would you be interested in a tour of Hell?"
"Oh yes, I've been couped up in here for two days and I need to stretch my wings." Emily got really excited when Charlie asked her.
"Now, who would like to help me give Emily the tour?"
"I would." Blitz volunteered when he raised his hand.
This surprised Moxxie and Loona, as Blitz never volunteered for something before, never. But Millie isn't surprised, and she knows why he is volunteering to give Emily a tour of Hell.
She squealed quietly, so her husband and Loona won't hear it.Blitz volunteered so he could get to know Emily better. He is being a sweet guy!She couldn't stop the smile appearing on her face, but she doesn't care. All she cares about her boss Blitz and Emily hanging out together.
"Thank you for volunteering, Blitz. Anybody else want to join with me and Blitz?" Charlie asked as she looked around the room.
"I would, since my arms are about to get cramps, and it would be nice to go outside." Angel Dust said, he stretched his four arms above his head.
"I'm joining too." Cherri Bomb raised her hand but quickly put it down as her hand has got cramp.
"I want to join too as well! Maybe I will meet some new bad boys!" Niffy giggle maniacally as she is thinking how many furs or hair, probably that she is going to add to her collection.
"Oh boy, I guess I will come too. Just to keep an eye on her." Husk said, looking at Niffy who is still giggling maniacally.
"I will too, as well, Charlie." Vaggie raise her hand as well, so she could protect Charlie and Emily from dangerous sinners and demons and so she could keep an eye on the IMP.
The only peoples who aren't coming is Alastor and Lucifer, as Alastor suddenly teleported to his room and Lucifer want to take a nap in his room after spending so many hours making posters and flyers for Justice4Pentious campaign and he was feeling tired.
"Well, you kids have fun and be careful." Lucifer stretched started going back to his room.
"Okay Dad." Charlie wave good-bye.
"Miss Charlie." Moxxie addressed the Princess of Hell.
"Please call me Charlie." Charlie reassured Moxxie.
"Um okay, Charlie, Millie and I want to join on the tour too."
"Yeah, we want to show Emily all the fun places around here." Millie is being enthusiastic.
"Really? That's great!" Charlie is really happy that more people want to join in.
"Yeah, you can count me in too. I can help buy some new clothes for Emily. Not that there's anything wrong with the clothes you gave her, Charlie. I just thought she would like some of her own." Loona hoped that she didn't insult Charlie.
"Oh no, I totally understand." Charlie put a reassuring hand on Loona's shoulder, showing that she is not offended. Loona just gave her a big eye look and quivering smile and a small whimper and hugged Charlie. "Aww." Charlie gushed when Loona is showing affection.
"Thank you, Charlie." said Loona.
Blitz has adoration in his wide eyes as his daughter is giving affection to Charlie along with a big hug. However, Vaggie is show a little bit of jealous which luckily nobody noticed it.
"Ok, now that everybody has volunteered with me to give Emily a tour. What part of the tour we should show to Emily?' Charlie asked and Moxxie raise his hand.
"I think we should go swing by the Industrial District to go visit Carmillla so we could ask her if she want to help us with Justice4Pentious campaign." Moxxie said, and this made everybody shocked, expect for Emily as she doesn't know who Carmilla nor she is has been to the Industrial District before. They can't believe that Moxxie want to go to the Industrial District, to go see Carmilla. Is he out of his mind!? Charlie however looked happy. "That is a great idea, Moxxie! Since she gives us weapons to fight back against the Exorcist, she will be sure to help us to save Pentious in Heaven!" Charlie starts to jump up and down, with a huge smile on her face.
"Uh Babe, can I talk to you for a minute?" Vaggie takes Charlie to a private corner. "Look, I know that you want to help the campaign and Pentious and I love you for it, but taking Emily to the Industrial District? That place is dangerous, it's mostly mobsters and weapon dealers. Emily can seriously get hurt."
"Ooh you're right Vaggie, what was I thinking. I just got really excited when Moxxie mentioned Carmilla, she did help us with the battle against the exorcists and provide us with the weapons. I just thought she would want to help save Pentious."
"Yeah, he was one of her customers. Tell you want, I'll take Moxxie to the Industrial District and we'll catch up with you and the others on the tour."
"Really, you'll do that?"
"Of course, I'll do anything for you Babe." They hugged and kissed and went back to the others.
"Okay, everyone new plan. Moxxie, you and Vaggie will be going to the Industrial district to talk to Carmilla. The rest of us will be giving Emily the tour."
"Really, you don't mind?" Moxxie asked Vaggie.
"Eh, it's no biggie. Carmilla helped us before, maybe she can do it again. But promise me you won't bet upset if she declines."
"Oh okay, thank you." Moxxie hugs Vaggie.
"You better take good care of my Moxxie, you hear."
"Don't you worry, I will." Vaggie promised Millie.
"Thank you." Millie said, as she went to give her husband a kiss on the forehead. She will not forgive Vaggie if anything happened to her husband.
"Ok, since Moxxie and Vaggie are going to the Industrial District to see Carmilla. That leaves the rest of us goes shopping and I know the quickest way to get to Pride Ring." Blitz looked at the crystal on his wrist, give it a little spit and rubbed it, causing the crystal to glow and open a portal in front of the hotel lobby.
Everybody looked at the portal in awe, and Emily has some amazement in her eyes as she never saw a portal that looked so pretty.
"Mr. bad boy, where did you get that crystal on your arm?" Niffy asked as she pointed at the crystal in Blitz's wrist.
"The crystal was given me by Stolas Goetia, he was...a friend of mine." Blitz mumbled at the last part.
Charlie and Emily can tell that Blitz doensn't want to talk about it, at least not yet anyway. "Okay everybody, let's not waste any more time." said Charlie and she and everyone stepped through the portal.
When everyone came out of the portal, they realized that they are in the Inner City of the Pride ring. "Whoa, that is faster than most of the buses here." said Angel Dust.
"Okay little guy, time for us to get to the Industrial District." Vaggie picked up Moxxie and put him on her back.
"Whoa-ah, wha-what are you doing?" Moxxie has no idea what is going on.
"Relax, Vaggie is a safe flyer." Charlie tells Moxxie not to worry about it.
Moxxie became amazed when Vaggie revealed her wings. "Hang on tight Moxxie and here we go." Soon Vaggie and Moxxie took flight.
"Whoa! This is awesome!" Moxxie shouted as he admires the city of Pride Ring below. Normally, he would be afraid right now due to how they are, but the view looked amazing, and he has the urge to touch some of the clouds.
Vaggie looked at Moxxie who has the biggest smile on his face, he looked like an innocent child right now, along with the adoration in his big wide eyes. She couldn't help but let out a small chuckle and a laugh. Maybe this Moxxie imp isn't such a bad demon. She flap her wings again as they are heading to the Industrial District.
Meanwhile with everybody, they are still in the Inner City of the Pride ring, and they are wondering which stores they should go.
"Now then, what shall we do first?" Charlie asked.
"How about we let Emily decide, after all, she is the guest of honor." Blitz suggests, which made Emily blushed.
"Ooh, how about that one?" Emily pointed to a store called Sinmart.
"Oh, this is good store. It's where I get my horse figurines there." Blitz said, and quickly regret saying in front of Emily and half of the hotel's resident.
"Horse figurines? You have horse figurines?" Cherri Bomb asked, trying not to laugh.
Blitz nodded his head; his cheeks is bright red from the embarrassment. He just hopes they don't laugh at him.
"I think it cute that you buy horse figurines from this store." Emily said, as she placed her hand on Blitz's shoulder.
Luckily, he is already blushed. "T-thank you, Emily." Blitz said, his heart pounding in his chest right now. "You're welcome." Emily replied with a soft smile.
"Ok, since Emily wants to go Sinmart. Let's go with her." Charlie said and everybody nodded their heads. And together, they enter Sinmart, unaware they will be meeting some demons that Blitz, Millie, and Loona know.
I would hate what will happen if IMP and Hazbin ran into Blitz's exes. What if Angel and Verosika knew each other and they have some kind of rivaly? And what will happen if Stolas meets Emily and what is she to Blitz? Find out next time in Forgetting About Stolas Ars Goetia.
