Chapter 52
The Sand Princess
Standing at the top of the great wall that surrounded the sand village, Naruto looked out over the endless sand sea as waves of heat distorted his view giving rise to false lakes of water and once a glimpse of the faraway ocean. Looking down the sheer cliff face that was the wall the updraft of wind blew his jacket open before he turned to Temari at his side.
"This is one hell of view, but are we training up here?", asked Naruto pointing to the wall's walkway and the village behind them.
Temari walked to the very edge of the wall and looked down the 600 or so feet, "No, this is just the best spot to jump from.", she said pulling the fan from the back and spreading it wide.
"Come, jump on.", she said as she tossed the fan into the updraft and jumped on it.
Naruto landed beside her as she kneeled down on one knee and using the natural wind with some small wind jutsu they flew out over the desert. Naruto was impressed with the skill and speed Temari displayed as they quickly lost sight of the village wall and within minutes a large series of rock pillars hundred of feet tall jutting out of the sand came into view. Each rock spire looked warn and beaten as if a giant had been using them for target practice. Broken and jagged boulders the size of houses littered the sand around the base giving the area the look of a war zone.
Temari was feeling playful so she dove down into the rocky valley pulling them up just before slamming into the cliff face. Flying up the face of the cliff she turned to look over her shoulder to see a laughing Naruto with his arms out like he was flying. He had anchored himself to the fan with chakra and stood unmoving as he waved his arms around. Wanting him to see just how important chakra control was when using a wind jutsu she flew them over the top of the highest peak and turned them completely upside-down.
"Blades of the SUN", she called out casting a wind jutsu into the rocky pinnacle. The wind jutsu collected the morning sun like a giant lens burning a hole into the rock face.
Flipping them back over Temari let them drop straight down, as the rock flew by with a roar of wind she waited to see if Naruto would say anything as the ground grew closer and closer.
When they reached a hundred feet above the ground Temari threw her hands out over the edge of the fan and called out, "Thunderstorm Down Burst!"
When the chakra-infused blast of air hit the ground it had nowhere to go trapped between the rock faces and came blasting back up from the ravine's floor stopping their fall, balancing on the column of air Temari used a little extra chakra for control landing them in a puff of sand.
Laughing Naruto said, "That was fun, can we do it again!"
Breathing heavily from all the chakra she had just used Temari looked over at the crazy Jinchuriki and thought if only Gaara was this much fun she would have had a much better life.
"Not now, we are here to train you not me,", said Temari trying to hide just how drained she was at the moment.
"Great, can you teach me that sun jutsu, that looked so cool and stuff.", said Naruto as he hopped off her fan so she could pick it up off the ground. Shaking the sand out of her fan before closing it Temari looked over at the over-excited Naruto and shook her head.
"Do you know anything about refraction or Lens focal points?", said Temari knowing that it took her a better part of 6 months to learn the theory behind that jutsu.
"Nope I sure don't", said a smiling Naruto.
"Then let's start with something a little less advanced.", said Temari, now with Naruto's attention on her Temari tried to get her mind off what happened in his apartment and back onto training.
"So this is Gaara's private training ground, you can use as much chakra as you want as there isn't a living thing out here for miles.", getting a nod of understanding she continued, "Let's start by you showing me what you do know.", said Temari as she led them out of the ravine into a more open space.
Spreading his legs wide, Naruto leaned forward and yelled out, "Great Wind Breakthrough", causing a blast of wind to rush forward into a nearby boulder polishing it with all the sand the wind picked up along the way.
Grinning at Temari Naruto was surprised by the look of disappointment on her face, "Is that all you got?", she said waving at the untouched rock.
"OK, let's try this,", said Naruto, make a set of hand signs he again yelled out his jutsu, "Wind blades!". As they watched the wind picked up dusk and sand mashed into the rock leaving small but noticeable cut lines over the rock face.
Temari look at Naruto like he was a first-year student, and a not-so-bright one at that, and pulled her fan off her back to stand in front of him.
Naruto was busy watching her shapely ass wiggle around when she spun the fan around over her head and opened it fully to display all three stars she cried out, "Wind Blade Slice."
Staring open mouth Naruto watched as a thin blade of wind shot forward and cut the large boulder in two, as the two pieces fell to the side Temari turned to face Naruto.

"I don't expect you to master the rock-to-sand technique but I need you to focus more. Gaara has an overwhelming amount of chakra just like you and he can do that," said Temari pointing to the top of a nearby peak that looked like the top had been cut cleanly off.
Naruto picked up a stone and stared at it for a second and placing his other hand over it he concentrated on cutting it in two. After two minutes he grinned and held out his hand to show Temari the stone in two pieces.
Temari could also see traces of blood as he had cut his own hand in the process. Most people would have dropped the stone at that point but Naruto's willpower was unstoppable and a little blood wasn't going to stop him.
"Good but you have to be a lot quicker than that if you're in a battle.", said Temari
"Shadow Clone Jutsu", said Naruto with his trademark hand sign.
Now with 30 clones standing around them, Naruto said, "Ok guys you heard the lady get to training.", as the clones all ran off into the sand sea each with a stone in their hand Naruto turned to Temari.
"What do you want to train me on next.", said a grinning Naruto.
"Can you use the tailed beast's chakra without losing control?", she asked trying to think of a way to get him to use as much chakra as possible.
"Sure, I can use about half before the fox bastard starts to give me trouble.", said Naruto
"Good, now this jutsu uses a lot of chakra but is easy to control,", she said moving ten steps away and facing a new target boulder, leaving the fan on her back she used her hands to make five hand signs and called out, "Wind Drill", as she pushed her hands out at the target a small spinning wind shot out from her hands and hit the rock face drilling a small hole about the size of a finger.
"You need to only focus on the spinning of the wind, try to think of a dust devil but on its side. The more chakra you use the better.", said Temari walking to stand behind Naruto as he practiced the hand signs a couple of times until he was sure he had them in the right order.
"OK, here we go.", said Naruto. "Wind Drill", he yelled out forming a spinning vortex ten times larger than the Temari's and pushing it toward the rock. The effect was dramatic as the spinning funnel of wind drilled a hole the size of Naruto's head into the rock and exited the back to continue to drill into the mountain behind it.
"Good job now do it again but with more chakra.", said Temari finding a way now to get Naruto to use up as much chakra as he could.
As another hole appeared in the rock she yelled out with a laugh," Do it again but more chakra, make it bigger, I like them big.", not getting the double meaning to her joke Naruto repeated the jutsu over and over until he started to pull on the fox's chakra to drill holes into the mountain he could easily walk into without bending over.
Now with his eyes glowing red Temari knew that she was getting him where she wanted him to be, "Now use these hand signs and try this.", she said showing him ten hand signs in slow motion before repeating it again at her normal speed.
"Tornado Inner Wall.", yelled out Temari as she finished her hand signs and spun around quickly throwing her hands up at the end of her turn, the jutsu created a wall of wind twenty feet tall all around them spinning wildly for a couple of minutes before it all fell apart into a gust of wind moving the sand around.
Breathing heavily she turned to Naruto with a grin saying, "That is my original jutsu, it uses a lot of chakra so I can't use it in battle yet but I think you can. Why don't you give it a try, here watch the hand signs again."
With that, she shows a bright-eyed Naruto the hand signs once again having him repeat them over a couple of times before she was satisfied he had them right. Stepping to the side and hoping for the best Temari slaps Naruto on the ass to get him moving.
"OK, so I am going to use a lot of chakra so stay close.", said Naruto bracing himself and pulling on his chakra as he quickly made the required hand signs.
"Tornado Inner Wall!", yelled out Naruto throwing his hands out and spinning around the same way he saw Temari do but minutes before.
The effect was quick and totally devastating as the wind wall formed in a tight spinning cone only feet from them and then as it grew it expanded out as it gained more speed. Looking up Naruto could see the wall was at least a hundred feet tall and getting taller by the second.
Turning to Temari with his crazy grin showing all his teeth Naruto looked into her wide eyes as she looked up. Tuning his head to see what she was looking at, he found the wall of wind had grown so high he couldn't see the top as it twisted and turned like an out-of-control fire hose.
"HOW MUCH CHAKRA DID YOU USE?", yelled out Temari over the roar of the wind.
"ALL OF IT!", yelled back Naruto still grinning.
"ALL OF IT?!, ARE YOU CRAZY!", said Temari pointing to the wall of wind as it hit the cliffs and started to cut away at them. As pieces of rocks were torn from the cliff face and joined the wind in its mad spin around them Temari could see cuts appear on the rocks as they broke away.
"Did you add wind blades to the jutsu?", she asked moving to Naruto's side so they could talk over the wind.
"I kind of forgot that last hand sign so I added Tiger and Rabbit to the end, I guess that made wind blades.", said Naruto guessing at what he had done.
When they had started the ravine they had been standing in was only a hundred feet wide but the wind had eaten away at the walls and was near double that size. As they watched the rock fly off into the wind tunnel shooting high into the air, they could only hope it didn't all come falling back down into the center.
"Can you stop it?", asked Temari
"It's your jutsu, you tell me.", said Naruto as the wall of wind was now two hundred feet across and the sound of falling rocks filled the air as it ate away at the mountain on both sides.
"I never had to think about it, I just always ran out of chakra before.", said a worried Temari standing as close to Naruto as she could without looking like she was scared or anything, being Gaara's sister she had seen a lot of strange things but this was in the top five.
Naruto looked over at the clearly scared girl and thought about what that pervert sensei said about stopping an overloaded jutsu. It was something about equal but opposite forces canceling each other out.
"Wind is weak against fire, right?", asked Naruto turning to Temari
"Don't you dare us to fire in here, it will burn us to dust.", yelled out Temari grabbing Naruto's arm and pulling him to her side.
"Then do you have any ideas:?", asked Naruto
Temari looked around seeing that the wind had grown to three hundred feet across and was still moving outward but at a slower pace. Looking up she could see the blue sky with the top of the wind tunnel turning a shade of red as the sun started to set.
"We wait as the inverse square law says that intensity equals the inverse of the square of the distance from the source so the greater the distance from the center it gets the weaker it will get.", said Temari thanking her jutsu theory sensei having beaten that into her head as wind jutsu are susceptible to quick power lose at greater distances.
Naruto looked at the wind wall then at Temari then at the wind wall again and shrugged.
"If you say so but I used a lot of chakra.", said Naruto
They waited and waited some more and by the time the sun was touching the sand sea almost two hours had passed. The wall of wind had grown nearly a thousand feet across but was unable to break away any more rocks and was turning to nothing more than a great gust of wind. Temari told up from the rock she had been sitting on and looked at the remaining winds noticing that the wind blades had faded away first.
"I think we need to head back to the village and this.", she said pointing at the swirling wind, "Give me an idea. Come on over."
With that she pulled the fan off her back and spread it out wide, making eye contact with Naruto so she knew he was ready she tossed the fan into the air using a small wind jutsu to get it moving and jumped on. As soon as she felt Naruto land on the fan behind her she steered it into the remains of the wall of wind.
They were shot straight up by a gust until they found themselves cresting over the top at a thousand feet. Looking down the devastation was shocking, they could see large boulders spread miles around with the center of the jutsu a great round circle cut neatly into the mountains.
"Ok so next time, don't use that much chakra,", laughed out Temari as she circled the annihilated rocky mountains.
"You know when Gaara sees this he is going to try to outdo you.", said Temari as she turned the fan toward the village, with the sun to their backs the sea of sand was turning golden with shades of black as the sand dune cast longer and longer shadows. Finding the great wall surrounding the village Temari sent out a fire jutsu so the watch towers wouldn't attach them as they landed.
Landing on the top of the wall they both jumped down and turned to face the last of the seating sun before turning back to the village.
"I don't know about you but I need a long bath.", said Temari looking sideways at Naruto as they walked down the long stairs to the base of the wall. She was leading the way and was taking her time to make sure Naruto had a chance to get a good look at her long legs.
"You're telling me, I am going to grab some food and jump in the shower as soon as I get to my room. Dam sand gets into everything doesn't it.", joked Naruto with a vague memory of the time he and Temari had sex.

Danzo whispers in Sasuke's ear, "If it wasn't for Itachi's loyalty to the grand plan I would end you know but I still have use for her."
As Sasuke reals with this new information that Itachi may be working for the Root Commander Tayuya screams in pain as she goes into labor.
"The Baby, the baby is coming.", scream out Tayuya as loudly as she could as the pains of labor raced through her body. The pain was more than she had expected and more than it should be as the child had not moved into the right position to come into the world.
As Naruto and Tsunade run out into the hallway Danzo fades away leaving them to wonder what was going on with Sasuke bleeding and unmoving on the floor and Tayuya screaming as she goes into full-on labor.
Tsunade runs to the nurse's desk and sees the unconscious body of the day nurse behind the desk and slaps her hand on the alarm button yelling, "Code blue floor six, code blue this is not a drill code blue." as her voice echos down the many halls and room of the whole hospital Naruto holds Tayuya in his arms as Karen comes running from hearing the alarm.
"We need to get her into an operating room your healing chakra isn't stopping this baby from being born.", said Tsunade as Karen was rolling her sleeve up on her shirt.
Scanning over Tayuya with her mystic palm technique Tsunade looked at the other two members of the small family and said, "This is bad really bad we have to move her now".
