Sakura landed hard on the mossy ground, the impact knocking the wind out of her. For a moment, she lay there, gasping for breath, her body shaking with laughter. Moments before, she had been floating high in the air on a pillar of chakra, reveling in the exhilaration of her newfound power. But then, as she attempted to release the Second Gate of Healing, the sudden surge of energy overwhelmed her, sending her plummeting back to earth.

As she lay on the soft, moss-covered forest floor, she couldn't help but giggle at the absurdity of it all. Training with Katsuyu in the Valley of Mushroom Dreams was unlike anything she had ever experienced. The towering, luminescent mushrooms cast an otherworldly glow, their soft light creating a serene yet surreal atmosphere. This place was alive with energy, and learning to tap into it was proving to be both a challenge and a joy.

Pushing herself up on her elbows, Sakura took a deep breath, feeling the forest's life force pulsing around her. Katsuyu's voice echoed in her mind, reminding her of the importance of maintaining balance and control. The Second Gate of Healing, associated with the sacral chakra, was all about harmonizing emotions and desires, a task easier said than done.

"Sakura," Katsuyu's gentle but firm voice interrupted her thoughts. "Remember, the key to mastering the gates is not just physical strength but emotional clarity. You must find your center."

Nodding, Sakura sat up fully and crossed her legs, closing her eyes to meditate. She focused on her breathing, allowing the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest to calm her mind. The Second Gate, located just below her navel, began to warm as she concentrated, its energy swirling like a gentle current.

Katsuyu's guidance was crucial. "Feel the connection between your emotions and the natural world around you. Let the energy of the valley flow through you, becoming one with your own."

As Sakura delved deeper into her meditation, she felt the forest's energy intertwining with her own. The soothing pulse of the mushrooms, the whispering leaves, and the distant chirping of insects all became part of her. She visualized the sacral chakra as a glowing orange orb, its light radiating warmth and healing.

Gradually, she sensed a shift within herself. Her earlier laughter, a mix of joy and frustration, transformed into a steady calm. She was no longer a separate entity trying to control the forest's energy but a part of the natural rhythm. With this realization, she gently opened the Second Gate of Healing, allowing its power to flow seamlessly through her. Health, vitality, the energy of life, whatever name you gave it, it flowed within her and through her until she was one and the same with it.

This time, there was no overwhelming surge. Instead, she felt a balanced, harmonious energy coursing through her body, rejuvenating and strengthening her. Opening her eyes, Sakura looked around with a newfound clarity. The Valley of Mushroom Dreams seemed even more vibrant, its colors more vivid, and its sounds more melodious.

Standing up, she felt alive, more alive than ever before. Katsuyu, observing from a distance, nodded approvingly. "Well done, Sakura. You are beginning to understand. Remember, each gate you open is a step towards not just power, but true harmony with the world around you."

Sakura smiled, feeling both humbled and empowered. With Katsuyu's guidance, she knew she could master the gates and unlock the full potential of the Liberation Jutsu.

"I feel like I can heal the world, death, death has no meaning," said Sakura, her eyes glazed over as the natural energy flowed through her.

"Death, like life, is all part of the balance," Katsuyu responded her voice both soothing and firm. "But do not get ahead of yourself. Within this valley, our powers are nearly unlimited. However, back in your land, it will be different. There are other forces at play."

Sakura blinked, the haze lifting slightly from her eyes. "Other forces?"

"Yes," Katsuyu continued. "In your world, the energy flows are disrupted by conflict, by the very nature of human ambition and struggle. Here, in the Valley of Mushroom Dreams, you are in a sanctuary of pure natural energy, untouched by those disturbances. When you return, you must remember that your abilities will be tested by these forces."

Sakura nodded, feeling the weight of Katsuyu's words. "I understand. I need to find a way to maintain this balance even in the midst of chaos."

Katsuyu's many eyes seemed to twinkle with approval. "Exactly. That is why mastering the gates and understanding the flow of natural energy is crucial. It's not just about raw power but the wisdom to use it harmoniously."

Sakura took a deep breath, feeling the energy within her settle into a more balanced state. "I will keep that in mind. Thank you, Katsuyu."

"Now, rest and reflect on what you have learned today," Katsuyu advised. "Tomorrow, we will continue your training. There is much more to discover."

Sakura lay back on the soft moss, closing her eyes as the sounds of the forest enveloped her. She allowed herself to drift into a peaceful sleep, knowing that each day in the Valley of Mushroom Dreams brought her closer to mastering the delicate balance of life and death, of healing and harm.

"Naruto, please, you need to calm down. It's not that bad," said Jiraiya as he followed the future Hokage down the jungle path.

"How can you say that?" yelled Naruto, throwing his hands up in the air. "The fox is blocking me every time I touch Sage Mode. He thinks I'm trying to kill him or something."

"Have you tried talking to him?" questioned Jiraiya, thinking the fox was trying to influence Naruto in some way.

"Talk to him? No! I've yelled, screamed—I've even raged at him, but he won't tell me what's going on." Naruto turned on Jiraiya, stopping them both in their tracks on the path back to the toad village.

Jiraiya studied Naruto, the frustration evident in every line of his body. "It sounds like the Nine-Tails is more scared of you than you realize. There's something deeper going on here, something you need to uncover."

Naruto's face twisted in frustration. "Deeper? What could be deeper than him trying to sabotage me? You know he only cares about 2 things in this world, fucking women and fucking with me!"

"Think about it," Jiraiya urged as he realized that Tayuya may have rubbed off on Naruto a little more than he thought. "The Nine-Tails has been sealed away, controlled, and used for so long. Maybe he sees Sage Mode as another form of control, another way to suppress him."

Naruto paused, considering Jiraiya's words. "So what do I do? How do I make him see that's not what I'm trying to do?"

Jiraiya's expression grew serious. "You need to confront him directly, Naruto. Not with anger or force, but with understanding. You have to face him, find out what he truly fears, and show him that you're not his enemy."

Naruto clenched his fists, his mind racing. "But what if he doesn't listen? What if he just attacks?"

"Then you fight," Jiraiya said, his voice steady. "But you fight to show him your strength. This isn't just about power, Naruto. It's about proving you have the will to be his equal."

Naruto's eyes narrowed, the challenge clear before him. "Fine. If that's what it takes, I'll do it. I'll face the Nine-Tails head-on."

Jiraiya nodded, a hint of pride mixed with concern in his gaze. "Good. Just remember, this isn't a battle, you are trying to make him your ally."

As they continued down the path, the dense jungle around them seemed to close in, the shadows deepening. The sounds of nature—the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves—faded into the background, replaced by the weight of the impending confrontation.

Jiraiya glanced at Naruto, noting the storm of emotions playing across his face. "One more thing, Naruto. The fox is a part of you. Defeating him means mastering yourself as well. Be ready to confront whatever else you have deep inside."

Naruto looked up, determination etched in his features. "I'll be ready. No matter what it takes."

As Naruto stormed off to clear his mind, Jiraiya sought out Fukasaku, discovering the old toad settled beside the serene pond, a fishing pole in hand. "What's weighing on your mind, Jiraiya?" Fukasaku inquired, his tone gentle and inviting.

"It's Naruto," Jiraiya replied, joining Fukasaku at the water's edge. "The Nine-Tails is causing trouble, and Naruto's struggling to keep it in check."

Fukasaku nodded in understanding. "Ah, that fox has always been a thorn in our side. Naruto must learn to harmonize his inner turmoil to harness its power."

Jiraiya nodded, his focus on the pond's shimmering surface. "I fear you're correct, Pa. The Nine-Tails has endured only captivity and manipulation for so many years, Its current outbursts are inevitable."

As Fukasaku reeled in his line, a pensive expression settled on his aged features. "Perhaps it's time we guide Naruto to see beyond the conflict. He must grasp the fox's suffering, not just its strength."

"Agreed," Jiraiya affirmed, determination lacing his words. "But how do we show that path to Naruto? His fixation on Sage Mode blinds him to the broader truth."

Fukasaku cast his line back into the tranquil waters, watching as ripples danced across the surface. "Sometimes, enlightenment springs from unexpected sources. Naruto must learn to heed not only the fox's cries but also his own inner voice."

Jiraiya contemplated Fukasaku's wisdom, its depth sinking in. "You're wise, Pa. Naruto's journey goes beyond mere power struggles. It's about understanding himself and those around him."

Fukasaku nodded knowingly, a smile gracing his lips. "Precisely. With our guidance, Naruto will find his path. The spirit of a true shinobi resides within him."

Hope flickered in Jiraiya's eyes as he returned Fukasaku's smile. "Indeed, Pa. Naruto may falter, but he always rises. This time will be no different."

Beside the tranquil pond, enveloped by nature's beauty, Jiraiya and Fukasaku shared a silent understanding even as Naruto struggled with a pain he couldn't understand, a pain of his own making.

Karin stood on the balcony of her bedroom, gazing out over the village. Below, she could see with her Minds Eye the bustling activity of carpenters and masons diligently working on rebuilding the Hyuga compound. Despite a week passing since the conflict, the reconstruction was far from complete. The damage inflicted by the elders, compounded by the fires set by their followers, had left the compound in ruins.

Rumors of what Hinata had done to her sister spread through the village like wildfire, fueling distrust and uncertainty among them. Despite Hinata's efforts to explain the situation, many villagers remained skeptical, questioning whether she had truly abandoned the old ways.

Hinata had been open and transparent about the events that night, but words alone were not enough to quell the growing unrest. The villagers demanded tangible evidence of change, something they could see and believe in to dispel the rumors once and for all. Without it, the whispers would continue to spread, eroding the fragile trust that Hinata had worked so hard to rebuild.

Even with the Silk Road reopened and the other clans joining in the rebuilding the civilian council was hard at work spreading distrust of not only Hinata but of all the clans. The last Karin had heard, the princess was on her way back with promises from her father that he would persuade the daimyo to sign the required papers but Karin knew better than to trust in promises alone. They would have to wait and see if the Daimyo would truly stand by their side, or if they would continue to be thwarted at every turn. Things would only continue to get worse until they removed the civilian counsel.

Turning her attention back to the bedroom, Karin glanced at the bed where Tayuya lay. The redhead was sprawled face down across the bed at an almost 45-degree angle, the words "Naruto's Bitch" tattooed across her back, her nude form partly covered by the sheets as she slept. It had been a strange week for Karin, with Tayuya's nightly affections contrasting sharply with her gruff attitude during the day. Despite her suspicions of Tayuya's ongoing affair with Temari, at least she was now keeping it within the clan. She had opened up one night sharing her need for affection to push back the pain, but even with Karin's willingness, it still didn't seem to be enough.

Naruto, that would be the solution to so many problems right now. She only wished she and the others hadn't made it so clear he didn't have to come back quickly. That Sage training was more important than the village or his family, or so they thought at the time. They could only see it as a way to get him out of the way so they could do what they must to remove the council. What fools they were, thinking he was in the way. With Naruto leading the push, the council would have fallen within the first week. Now it was a battle of wills, and the civilian council had decades of experience manipulating the villagers.

"What's happening?" Tayuya's voice cut through the silence, her head lifting from the pillow as she peered at Karin, who stood silhouetted against the morning sky, her silk robe leaving little to the imagination as she leaned against the railing.

Karin turned back toward the room, her expression composed. "It's nothing, they started work early this morning," she said, walking back into the room.

"You know Hinata will be here in an hour, you best get dressed," Karin advised, heading to the dressing room as she had already taken her morning shower.

"Don't you worry your fucking little ass off about it, I will be ready," Tayuya retorted, crawling out of bed and stumbling into the bathroom, quickly followed by the sound of the shower running.

Once fully dressed in her silk clan robes, Karin walked into the kitchen to be greeted by her new cook. The older woman, who appeared to be from the Akimichi clan, was already busy at the stove. It had been made clear that the branch family members would not be returning until the compound was rebuilt, and even then, the peace between the main and branch families remained uncertain.

"Morning," said the cook, her voice warm and welcoming as she flipped the wok, sending rice and bacon flying only to have it all land back into the wok before she poured in some eggs and a fistful of greens.

"Good morning," Karin replied, taking a seat at the table. The aroma of the sizzling breakfast filled the room, bringing a small comfort amidst the ongoing chaos. "Smells delicious."

The cook smiled, her hands deftly moving as she continued to prepare the meal. "Thank you, dear. I figured you could use a little breakfast this morning. It's going to be another busy one, isn't it? I only wish you had time for a proper breakfast." she added, a proper breakfast for an Akimichi would put Karin in a food coma for a day, and had made it clear she only needed a "lite' breakfast.

Karin nodded, her mind already racing with the tasks ahead. "Yes, Hinata will be here soon, and there's still so much to do. The rebuilding is taking longer than expected, and the rumors are getting worse."

The cook gave a sympathetic nod, understanding the weight of Karin's responsibilities. "Just remember you two need to take care of yourself. You're no good to anyone if you're running on empty."

Karin offered a grateful smile. "I'll try. Thanks."

Not sure if it was the smell of food or just good timing, Tayuya came walking out of the bedroom fully dressed as the first wife of a noble clan. Without missing a beat, she snatched Karin's plate from her and walked into the main room, settling herself on the sunlit balcony to eat.

The cook chuckled, shaking her head as she prepared a new plate for Karin. "I see that one hasn't changed. That child of hers will come out spitting fire," she laughed, handing Karin the fresh plate.

Karin couldn't help but laugh softly in return, the cook's lighthearted comment easing some of the morning's tension. "That's Tayuya for you. Fierce and unapologetic."

The cook nodded, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Just the kind of spirit this village needs right now, even if it comes with a bit of a rough edge." She placed a steaming cup of tea next to Karin's plate. "Here, this should help you get through the morning."

Karin accepted the tea gratefully, savoring its warmth as she took a sip. "Thank you. It's going to be a long day."

As she finished her breakfast, Karin's mind raced with thoughts of the day ahead. The rebuilding of the Hyuga compound, the delicate peace between the main and branch families, and the rumors swirling around Hinata all weighed heavily on her. But there was no time for doubt. They had to move forward, one step at a time.

"Karin!" yelled Tayuya from the other room, "I think I got it."

Leaving her plate, Karin walked into the main room to find Tayuya with an overly large book on her lap and an empty plate on the floor. The number of books around her chair was ever-growing, and Karin had repeatedly told her to build a library to store them. However, Tayuya seemed to thrive in the chaos.

"What did you find?" Karin asked, her curiosity piqued as she stepped over the scattered tomes and approached Tayuya.

Tayuya's eyes gleamed with excitement and a hint of trepidation as she pointed to a page in the book. "I found a way to break the Caged Bird Seal."

Karin's eyes widened as she examined the intricate diagrams and notes. "You're serious? This could free the branch family members from their curse."

Tayuya nodded, her expression grave. "But it's incredibly dangerous. There's a high chance it could kill the person undergoing the process. It's not just about chakra and precision, we need to break the master key."

Karin's excitement turned to concern. "We can't just try this on anyone. If it fails..."

Tayuya sighed, closing the book. "I know. We need someone willing to take the risk, someone who understands the stakes."

Karin bit her lip, thinking hard. "We need to find a volunteer, someone without a family who depends on them. We need someone who is willing to risk everything for this chance."

Tayuya nodded, her face serious. "We'll have to be very careful. We need to make sure they understand the risks, we are not working on one of Orochimaru's labs anymore."

Karin looked at the book again, her mind racing with the possibilities and the dangers. "This could change everything. But we need to plan every step and make sure we minimize the risks as much as possible."

Tayuya nodded in agreement. "I will start preparing immediately."

Before Karin had a chance to fully understand Tayuya's plan, there came a knocking on the door. In walked Temari with Hinata following closely behind. Karin could see Neji stop at the doorway, assuming a guard position. She knew with his Byakugan, he would be able to see everything that was going on in the building, including the penthouse.

Temari paused at the head of the room, observing the two women in their formal attire. Realizing that this was more than just a friendly visit, she assumed the role of the third wife.

"My sisters, may I introduce the Lady Hyuga," said Temari with a slight smirk, bowing before stepping to the side.

"Karin-sama, Tayuya-sama, it is good to see you," said Hinata, addressing them with the proper respect, her every move a dance of perfection befitting the station she was born in.

"Please, come sit with us. We have much to talk about," Karin invited, her tone carrying an air of formality as she gestured towards the side table adorned with high-backed chairs.

"I will bring tea," Temari announced, promptly leaving the room. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance at the elaborate customs and pleasantries, finding them tiresome and unnecessary. In the harsh world of the Sand, time was a precious commodity not to be squandered on formalities.

"Thank you for having me," said Hinata once she was seated, her posture poised and composed.

"It is our pleasure," replied Karin, settling across from Hinata, her gaze shrewd as she observed the Hyuga clan leader. Meanwhile, Tayuya found her seat, her book clutched tightly in hand.

Temari emerged from the other room with a tray of tea and delicate pastries, her movements graceful yet tinged with impatience. To her, this gathering felt like a frivolous game, lacking any real significance. A game of children playing at tea party.

"How is the rebuilding going?" Karin inquired, delicately touching the tea to her lips, her eyes scanning Hinata's expression for any hint of deception.

"We are working day and night to remove the stain of the elders," replied Hinata, her voice steady and unwavering.

Tayuya, ever impatient, shoved one of the cakes into her mouth and took a loud sip of tea as if to hurry the conversation along.

Hinata looked from one woman to the other, a rare smile gracing her lips. "Is there something you wish to tell me?" she asked, her tone neutral yet tinged with curiosity.

Tayuya wasted no time breaking the veneer of courtesy. "The hell there is. I want to get out of our debt with your clan," she declared boldly, her words dripping with resentment.

"You owe me no debt," Hinata replied, taken aback by such a blunt statement.

"The hell we don't. You paid for this building by overpaying for those jewels. Don't you think I would figure that out?" Tayuya retorted, her voice sharp and accusatory.

"It was for Naruto. I would have paid any price," Hinata explained softly, her gaze flickering with a mix of determination and vulnerability.

Before Tayuya could launch into another tirade, Karin intervened. "Yes, the price paid was high, and we are honored by your help, just as we are by the help Ino gives us. But we still wish to balance that help with our own contributions."

"I do understand, I truly do. What is it you have in mind?" said Hinata, her tone betraying a hint of curiosity.

"You asked for this meeting, it is plain to see what it is you need from us," replied Tayuya sharply, her words laced with defiance. "Our clan made the Cage Bird Seal. History shows it was a fair trade and was to be used on criminals, not children of your own family."

The anger in Tayuya's voice was palpable as she dropped her book on the table, spilling tea in her agitation. Hinata's expression hardened, her resolve shining through.

"We do not wish to shame you, only to say we believe we've found a way to remove the seal, but we need to see the master key first," said Karin, wiping away the spilled tea with a napkin, her eyes locking with Tayuya's in silent understanding, they would talk of this later.

Hinata froze, her gaze fixated on the two redheads as if they had ignited into flames before her. With a few swift hand movements that defied any known hand signs, she spoke cryptically, "The scroll will be here in a moment," leaving Karin and Tayuya puzzled by her mysterious declaration.

"I had heard stories of the fabled hand talk of the Hyuga, but I didn't think I would see it used so openly," Temari remarked with a laugh, leaning back in her chair across the room. "I must say, it's quite impressive."

Seeing the look in Karin's eyes, Hinata gave her a small, knowing smile. "As clan head, there are always eyes on me. It's a fact of life I must live with. My clan can speak through walls with but a movement of our hands. Just as Anbu have their hand signs, so do we," she added, dismissing the subject with practiced ease.

A Yamanaka maid emerged with a new tray of tea, her presence a silent acknowledgment of the intricate web of espionage that intertwined with every aspect of their lives. Everyone in the room knew she was a spy, a fact that hung in the air like an unspoken truth. Yet, they allowed her to remain, for they had nothing to hide and much to share with the spy's master, whether it was Ino or the Hokage. Their motives were clear—they sought to navigate the delicate dance of politics with transparency, even in the presence of a known informant.

It took ten minutes before the door opened once again, and Neji entered with a scroll, neatly wrapped in silk. He placed it delicately in Hinata's hands before taking his position behind her chair, a silent sentinel guarding the Hyuga clan leader.

Sensing the weight of the moment, Temari shifted her position to stand behind Karin, as if to balance the room's energy. In truth, she harbored a deep curiosity to witness the unveiling of the dreaded seal of the Hyuga, a symbol of power and constraint that had long fueled her disdain.

With a decisive glance, Karin signaled for the hovering maid to clear the table, dismissing her with the tea. It was time to delve into matters of greater importance, and they couldn't afford any prying eyes, especially those of Ino's spies. Clearly, Ino needed to enhance the training of her operatives or dispatch more proficient ones to the premises.

Once the table was cleared, Hinata nonchalantly discarded the silk wrapping as if it were no more valuable than a month's chunin pay. With a sense of solemnity, she unrolled the scroll, revealing its contents to the scrutiny of all present.

"The Master Seal of the Caged Bird—a sight seen by only the clan heads until this moment," Hinata proclaimed, her words carrying a weighty significance that underscored the gravity of their undertaking.

The seal sprawled across the parchment like a vast labyrinth, its intricate design defying imagination. Yet, Tayuya rose from her seat and peered down at the intricate network of lines and symbols as if deciphering the pages of one of her books.

"The key is hidden, but I believe I see it," she declared, her finger pointing to a seemingly insignificant corner of the seal. "To be certain, I would need to witness the seal in use." Her tone conveyed both uncertainty and determination, acknowledging the complexity of their task while also hinting at a glimmer of hope.

Hinata's words held a rare intensity, emotions flickering across her usually composed demeanor. "No! I will not cage another," she declared firmly, her voice resonating with a newfound strength.

Tayuya, undeterred, responded casually, as if discussing the weather rather than the fate of another individual. "It doesn't have to be one of your clan. I'm sure T&I has someone they wouldn't mind putting a seal on," she suggested, her words carrying a chilling reminder of the darker deeds she had undertaken while assisting in the laboratories.

The piercing scream shattered the tranquil silence of the valley, echoing off the colossal mushrooms of Kinoko no Yume no Tani. Sakura found herself sprawled out once again, this time atop a towering mushroom that shimmered with blue and green light. As she sat up, she cast a skeptical gaze across the horizon.

"How can I go on?" she muttered to the empty air, her voice tinged with despair. But nearby, Katsuyu, ever vigilant and wise, responded, "You opened the gate of LIFE in a day. The gate of PAIN is but the next step."

Sakura shook her head vehemently, unable to accept the daunting path laid out before her. "No, no, no... It is not the same," she protested, her voice filled with uncertainty. "I have mastered life and healing, but not this. This is not a path I can go down."

The scream had unleashed a torrent of emotions within her, stirring up fears and doubts that threatened to overwhelm her. The prospect of delving into the realm of pain was daunting, not just for its physical torment, but for the emotional and spiritual toll it would exact.

As she stood atop the towering mushroom, bathed in the surreal glow of its light, Sakura felt a wave of vulnerability wash over her. The path ahead seemed shrouded in darkness, and she couldn't see a way through her fear. It felt like she was teetering on the edge of an abyss, with no solid ground beneath her feet.

Yet, even in the depths of her fear, Sakura knew that she couldn't turn away. The path ahead might be filled with uncertainties, but it was also a path of growth and enlightenment. With a trembling breath and a trembling hand, she reached deep within herself, searching for the courage to take that first step into the unknown.

Sakura's cry echoed through the valley, a raw expression of her fear and uncertainty. "No, I can't do it!" she yelled to her sensei, her voice trembling with desperation, even the act of touching the gate sent her into agony.

Katsuyu, ever patient and wise, regarded Sakura with empathy. "It's okay, Sakura," she said gently, her tone filled with understanding. "It's okay to be afraid."

Tears streamed down Sakura's cheeks as she grappled with her overwhelming emotions. The weight of her doubts and insecurities threatened to suffocate her, leaving her feeling small and helpless.

"I'm not strong enough," Sakura confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. The admission felt like a heavy burden lifted from her chest, but it also left her feeling exposed and vulnerable.

Katsuyu placed a comforting tendril on Sakura's shoulder, offering silent support. "Strength isn't just about physical power," she reminded Sakura. "It's also about resilience and the willingness to acknowledge your limitations."

Sakura nodded, her resolve wavering but not broken. Despite her fear, she knew she couldn't let it paralyze her. She had faced challenges before and failed, but each failure had taught her something valuable about herself and her capabilities.

Taking a shaky breath, Sakura wiped away her tears and squared her shoulders. "When you showed me all the bones of those that failed before me you said they all pushed past their limits before truly mastering the Gate they were on. I need to master this gate, the Gate of Life. Maybe I haven't truly mastered it."

"Only you can know if you masted the Gate of Life, it is not something anyone can judge," said Katsuyu as she grew and grew until she was larger than any of the towering mushrooms. Facing Sakura eye to eye, unblinking.

"What am I to do?", asked Sukura placing her hands on her hips as if daring her sensei to tell her to try again.

"You have opened the gate of Open, Healing and of Life, maybe that is enough," said Katsuyu

"Enough? Enough for what?", asked Sakura

"Why to save Naruto of course,", said Katsuyu as if she was stating the oblivious.

"What! But he is doing Sage training what could I do to save him?" she asked not believing this was the goal.

Sakura's mind whirled with confusion as she struggled to comprehend Katsuyu's words. Save Naruto? But how? He was off undergoing Sage training, honing his skills in distant lands far beyond her reach. What could she possibly do to aid him in his journey?

Katsuyu's gaze held steady, unwavering in its intensity. "You possess a power unlike any other, Sakura," she said, her voice resonating with quiet authority. "The Gates you have mastered hold the key to unlocking your full potential. With them, you possess the strength to aid Naruto in ways you never thought possible."

Sakura's brow furrowed in disbelief. "But Naruto is training to become a Sage," she protested, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "What could I possibly offer him?"

Katsuyu's expression softened, a faint smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Naruto may be embarking on a journey of his own, but that does not mean you cannot walk alongside him," she explained gently. "Your mastery of the Gates grants you the power to support him, to bolster his strength, and aid him in his trials. Together, you and Naruto can overcome any obstacle that stands in your way."

Sakura's heart fluttered with a newfound sense of purpose. Could it be true? Could she truly be the key to aiding Naruto in his quest to become a Sage? The thought filled her with a sense of resolve, igniting a spark of hope within her soul.

Taking a deep breath, Sakura squared her shoulders and met Katsuyu's gaze with newfound resolve. "I won't let Naruto down," she vowed, her voice firm with conviction. "I'll do whatever it takes to support him in his journey, no matter the cost."

Katsuyu nodded, her eyes gleaming with pride. "That's the spirit, Sakura," she said, her voice brimming with confidence. "Now center yourself and try to become one with the Gate of Pain."

Sakura nodded, steeling herself for the challenge ahead. With a determined expression, she focused her chakra and reached out towards the Gate of Pain. But as she attempted to connect with its energy, she felt a searing pain rip through her body, causing her to stumble backward.

Gasping in agony, Sakura collapsed to her knees, clutching her chest as waves of pain washed over her. Katsuyu rushed to her side, concern etched on her face as she tried to stabilize Sakura's trembling form.

"It's too much," Sakura whispered hoarsely, her voice strained with pain. "I can't... I can't do it."

Katsuyu's expression softened with understanding as she gently lifted Sakura to her feet. "It's alright, Sakura," she reassured, her voice soothing. "Not everyone can master every gate. Sometimes, knowing your limits is the true mark of strength. Only a true master of Life can overcome Pain."

Feeling defeated and exhausted, Sakura nodded weakly, her eyes filled with tears of frustration. "I'm sorry," she murmured, her voice barely audible. "I thought... I thought I could do it."

Katsuyu placed a comforting hand on Sakura's shoulder, offering her silent support. "You've already accomplished so much," she said softly. "There's no shame in admitting when something is beyond your reach. We will rest now and in the morning we will travel far, to the land of Mount Myōboku."

….

Naruto sat cross-legged on a rugged stone at the peak of Mount Myōboku, the tranquil beauty of the landscape contrasting with the turmoil within his mind. Across the vast expanse of his consciousness, he engaged in a silent battle of words with the Nine-Tailed Fox, seeking understanding amidst the anger and resentment that simmered beneath the surface.

"Why are you so mad at me?" Naruto's voice echoed in the recesses of his mind, a mixture of frustration and genuine curiosity.

The Fox's response was a low growl, reverberating with the weight of centuries-old grievances. "You know why, brat. You've always known."

Naruto's brows furrowed as he grappled with the Fox's cryptic words. "But I'm trying. I'm trying to understand you, to work together."

The Fox's laughter was harsh and mocking, a reminder of the distrust that had long defined their relationship. "Trying? Trying isn't enough, Naruto. You can't just sweep all of the pain and betrayal under the rug with a few half-hearted attempts at cooperation. You are still only taking, never giving anything in return"

Naruto's fists clenched in frustration, his will waver against the Fox's relentless onslaught. "I don't know what else to do, Kurama. I want to make things right, but you have to meet me halfway. Tell me what it is you want."

There was a tense silence as Naruto awaited the Fox's response, the weight of their history heavy in the air.

Finally, the Fox spoke, its tone softer, almost contemplative. "Freedom…. A life that isn't these bars. I want the simple pleasures you have with your mates. This is what I want."

Naruto nodded, a glimmer of hope flickering in his eyes. "I know, and I'm willing to try, to do whatever it takes. But you know breaking the seal doesn't let you go free, it kills us both and I am not ready to die."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the mountaintop, Naruto and the Fox continued their silent dialogue, searching for a way to reconcile their conflicting desires. Lost in their contemplation, Naruto was suddenly jolted back to reality by a sharp pain in his arm.

"Naruto, come down here. It's time to rest," called out Jiraiya, his voice tinged with impatience as he gestured for Naruto to join him.

"Alright, I'll be right down," Naruto replied hastily, not wanting to incur Jiraiya's wrath.

Sitting down for a meal with Jiraiya, Ma, and Pa, Naruto recounted his conversation with the Fox, grappling with the complexities of their relationship. While the idea of freedom seemed out of reach, given the Fox's deep-seated hatred, Naruto couldn't help but wonder if there might be another solution.

As they talked around the flickering fire, the warmth of their camaraderie mingling with the chill of the mountain air, Naruto's thoughts drifted. He couldn't shake the image of his vision in Sage Mode, the world appearing clearer and more vibrant than ever before. It was a fleeting glimpse of the power he could wield if he could only find balance within himself.

Eventually, he bid his companions goodnight and retreated to the small stone building he had carved out for himself.

Lying in bed, Naruto reflected on the day's events, his mind still buzzing with the revelations he had uncovered. Despite the challenges ahead, he felt a sense of clarity wash over him as if everything in the world had suddenly fallen into place.

"See you in the morning, Fox," Naruto whispered silently to himself, acknowledging the bond they shared, however tumultuous it may be. And with that, he let the soothing embrace of sleep carry him away into the realm of dreams.

As a thud reverberated through the air, Naruto bolted upright, the earth trembling beneath his feet, jolting him awake with a start. Barefoot and clad only in his shorts, Naruto emerged into the morning air, greeted by a sight that bordered on the surreal. Katsuyu stood tall and imposing, her massive form casting a looming shadow over the landscape, while Gamabunta, a titan of a toad, stood proudly beside her. Their playful sparring filled the air with a symphony of thuds and rumbles.

"Katsuyu!" Naruto called out, his voice filled with both joy and disbelief. "What are you doing here?"

"Can I not visit a friend?" said Katsuyu, her voice resonating with a hint of playfulness as she grew even larger than Gamabunta and pushed him onto his back.

"What's going on?" Naruto questioned, his voice echoing in the crisp morning air. He didn't expect an answer, especially as the two giants engaged in their playful exchange.

"Hi, I heard you needed some help," said a voice behind him as he spun around, coming face to face with Sakura.

"Sakura!" he yelled out, picking up the smaller girl and spinning her around as she hugged him close. He was so happy to see her after all this time, he didn't notice she had somehow changed.

Breaking free, he held her at arm's length to get a better look at his first love, not realizing that he was holding her off the ground as she kicked her feet. Pink hair, as long as his arm, hung down her back in waves of natural, soft curls. Her skin glowed with a radiant, almost ethereal quality, and her bright emerald eyes seemed to sparkle in the morning light as if she possessed some inner power he had never seen before.

Her red dress was old and worn, ripped in places, and adorned with patches of moss that had naturally grown over time, blending her seamlessly with the environment of the Mushroom Valley. Her feet were bare, her sandals long lost, and her toes were tinged green from the moss and earth she had been living in. Despite the rugged state of her attire, there was something undeniably beautiful and otherworldly about her, as if she had become one with the natural world around her.

"Sakura, you look so beautiful, but what happened to your dress?" asked Naruto with his trademark grin, still effortlessly holding her off the ground.

"I've been training like you, with Katsuyu-sensei. There's a valley of mushrooms as large as trees, and I've been training there to become a master of the Release Liberation Jutsu. Oh, Naruto, I missed you so much, but can you put me down?" said Sakura, her voice a mix of excitement and longing.

As she slowly kicked her feet in the air, she turned her head to the side and smiled, a soft, knowing smile that spoke of the countless experiences she had endured. Her smile carried a blend of joy and wisdom, her eyes sparkling with the serene confidence that comes from overcoming great challenges. The morning light caught in her hair, illuminating the waves of soft pink curls that framed her face. Even with her worn dress and bare feet, she radiated a natural beauty and strength that took Naruto's breath away.

"Oh, sorry, Sakura-chan," said Naruto, gently placing her on the ground.

The moment her feet touched the earth, Sakura leaped forward, wrapping her arms around him in a powerful hug. She pressed her face into his chest, her body trembling slightly. Naruto could feel the raw emotion in her embrace, a mixture of relief, joy, and the weight of everything she had gone through.

"I missed you so much," she whispered, her voice muffled against his chest. "Training was intense, but thinking of you kept me going."

Naruto hugged her back just as fiercely, his hands gripping the worn fabric of her dress. "I missed you too, Sakura-chan. It hasn't been the same without you."

After a long moment, she pulled back slightly, looking up at him with tears in her eyes. "I'm glad we're both here now. We have so much to catch up on."

Naruto nodded, his blue eyes shining with determination. "Yeah, and we'll get stronger together. Whatever comes next, we'll face it side by side."

Just then, Katsuyu's voice boomed from behind them, interrupting their moment. "Naruto, Sakura, there's much to discuss. The world isn't going to wait for us to catch up."

Naruto turned to see Katsuyu and Gamabunta watching them, a serious expression on the giant slug's face. "Right," he said, releasing Sakura and stepping back. "What's the plan?"

Sakura straightened up, her expression resolute. "We need to talk about what I learned in the Valley of Mushroom Dreams. There's a lot we need to do if we're going to be ready for what's coming."

Katsuyu nodded. "Indeed. Let's gather everyone and strategize. Time is of the essence."

As they walked back towards the heart of Mount Myōboku, the sacred home of the toads, Naruto couldn't help but glance at Sakura. She had changed, but she was still the same in so many ways. The sway of her hips as she walked ahead of him, the feel of her body pressed against him moments ago, and the look in her eyes reminded him of all the times they had spent together.

Lately, it had been images of Sakura that haunted his nights. Not the smiling faces of his wives, but the pink hair and demanding smile of Sakura in his dreams. Her presence had a way of grounding him, making everything else fade into the background.

As they approached the gathering area where Jiraiya and the toads waited, Naruto's mind raced with thoughts of the future. The bond he shared with Sakura was undeniable, a connection forged through years of hardship and triumph. He knew that together, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Sakura-chan," he called out, his voice filled with a mix of emotions.

She turned to look at him, her eyes softening. "Yeah, Naruto?"

"Thanks for being here," he said, his voice sincere. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Sakura smiled, genuine and warm, the expression reaching her eyes. "We've always been more than a team, Naruto. Always have been, and always will be. I've sworn never to leave your side, so get used to me being around."

Naruto senses an undeniable tension in the air, a palpable energy crackling between them. Sakura's presence stirs something primal within him, igniting a fire that burns hot and fierce.

"Sakura," he says, his voice low and husky, betraying the intensity of his emotions. "You and me... it's always been complicated, hasn't it?"

Sakura meets his gaze, taking his hand and pulling him along, her own eyes dark with desire. "Complicated doesn't even begin to cover it," she replies, her voice a mere whisper.

Caught in the throes of an undeniable attraction, Naruto can't help but wonder. What might have been if they had followed a different path?

The morning stretched on, consumed by a relentless stream of conversation that blurred into a monotonous hum for Naruto. Jiraiya meticulously detailed every aspect of his training, while Katsuyu provided updates on Sakura's progress in mastering the first three gates of the Release Liberation Jutsu.

Despite his best efforts, Naruto found himself drifting into a mental fog, the words of his companions washing over him like distant echoes. It was Pa's sharp voice that finally pierced through the haze, snapping him back to attention.

"The Great Toad Sage has foretold that the boy needs to depart and master his connection to Kyūbi no Yōko," the venerable toad Fukasaku proclaimed, his words slicing through the idle chatter.

"What do you mean, Pa?" asked Jiraiya, the silence falling over the group.

"Ōgama Sennin, the Great Toad Sage, has foreseen the boy and girl going to Genbu, the oldest and wisest of the ancient ones. On his back are the Falls of Truth; it is there you will find all that you seek," said Pa as he puffed on his pipe.

"Who or what is Genbu?" said Naruto, pondering how falls could be on a man's back.

"Genbu is one of the four legendary guardian beasts known as the 'Four Celestial Guardians.' Genbu represents the north and is the embodiment of the element of water," explained Jiraiya, having visited the turtle in his travels.

"A celestial guardian? And we have to get on its back?" questioned Sakura, gripping Naruto's hand tighter.

"Jiraiya jumped up and did a little dance. 'I am the master spy of all the lands! I can take you to the island of the Turtle, Genbu, in the Land of Lightning,' he sang out as he hopped from one foot to the other.

'Is he always like this?' asked Sakura, looking at Naruto, who was hiding his face in her hand.

'Yes, please forgive him; he is old,' said Naruto in a deadpan voice that got all the toads laughing.

As the conversation wound down and the morning turned into the afternoon, the group prepared for the journey ahead, the weight of Pa's prophecy lingering in the air like a heavy fog. Naruto stole a glance at Sakura, her silhouette outlined by the soft glow of the sunlight filtering through the trees.

"Hey, Sakura," Naruto said softly, breaking the silence. "Since we're heading out in the morning, I was thinking... do you want to go to the hot springs before we leave? It might help us relax before our journey."

Sakura turned to him, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "That sounds perfect, Naruto. I could use some relaxation," she said with a knowing smile.

"Naruto! Come here, I need your help with this," Jiraiya's voice rang out, cutting through the peaceful atmosphere.

It wasn't until later, as the setting sun dipped behind the mountains, that Naruto found a moment to look for Sakura once more. He discovered her engaged in deep conversation with a much smaller Katsuyu and Shima, the elder toad. Shima was trying to explain the Gate of Pain to help Sakura progress in her training.

"Sakura-chan!" called out Naruto as he walked up, rubbing the back of his head. "You still want to use the hot springs?" The heat of the day, combined with all the work Jiraiya had insisted needed to be done before they left in the morning, left Naruto looking hot, sweaty, and—to Sakura's eyes—undeniably sexy.

She glanced up from her conversation, her eyes lingering on him for a moment before she smiled. "Absolutely, Naruto. I think we both need it," she replied, her voice warm and welcoming.

"Can you go ahead? I need to do one more thing with Shima. I promise I'll be there in a few minutes," she said, waving him away like you would a small child.

Naruto nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "Alright, but don't take too long. I'll be waiting!" he called over his shoulder as he headed towards the hot springs.

Naruto had learned that Mount Myōboku was on an island deep in the Cloud Sea, but the mountain itself was a volcano that bubbled and smoked most of the year, producing the greatest natural hot springs in all the lands. The Great Toad Sage had chosen Mount Myoboku so he could soak his tired old bones in the hot springs.

Now, Naruto was soaking in a pool he had carved out of the black volcanic rock using a Rasengan in his spare time over the past months. Once complete, it took no effort to direct one of the many streams to flow into and out of his little piece of paradise.

Laying back and floating in the bubbly water, he remembered using the hot springs at the hotel with Tayuya as a template for making this one. Thoughts of his fiery wife and her tight little body brought to mind all the times he had spent with her.

The warmth of the water enveloped him, easing the tension from the day's work. Despite the serene environment, Naruto's mind buzzed with memories and emotions. The solitude of the hot spring provided a perfect space for reflection, but it also intensified his longing for the familiar comfort and presence of his loved ones.

In the midst of these thoughts, Sakura appeared at the edge of the pool, wrapped in a towel. She smiled at him, then dropped the towel to the side and stepped into the pool across from him. The sight of her as she lowered herself into the water pushed all thoughts of Tayuya from his mind as he gazed at her naked form.

"Sakura-chan," he said softly, his voice carrying a mix of surprise and admiration.

Sakura's eyes twinkled with amusement. "You look like you could use some company," she said, her voice warm and inviting. The water rippled around her as she moved closer, her presence both calming and electrifying.

Naruto's heart raced, the heat of the water doing little to match the warmth spreading through him. "Yeah," he replied, his voice a bit shaky. "It's been a long day."

She reached out, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "We've both been through a lot," she said softly. "But we're here now. Together."

Her hands roamed over his chest, tracing the contours of his muscles with a delicate yet firm touch. As her fingers trailed lower, he felt a jolt of pleasure when she reached his hardness. Their kiss deepened, growing more passionate with each passing second.

Naruto's hands moved to her waist, pulling her closer, feeling the heat of her body against his. The water around them seemed to intensify the sensations, every touch amplified by the warm embrace of the hot spring. Sakura's breath hitched as he responded, his hands exploring her back, and her shoulders, memorizing every curve and line.

She pressed herself against him, their bodies molding together in the warm water. Her fingers wrapped around him, eliciting a low groan from Naruto as he shuddered with pleasure. The world outside the pool ceased to exist; there was only Sakura, her touch, her warmth, her love.

Naruto's hands roamed over her, his touch tender yet hungry. He cupped her breasts, feeling their firmness, rubbing his thumbs over her sensitive nipples, drawing a gasp from her. She responded by pressing closer, her hands moving over his body with desperate urgency, memorizing every inch of him.

Their kiss broke as they gasped for air, their foreheads resting against each other. "Sakura-chan," Naruto murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "I..."

She silenced him with another kiss, this one softer, more tender. "Shh," she whispered against his lips. "We don't need words right now. Just feel." With those words, she opened the first gate and then the next as her body lit up with a natural glow sharing and taking not only his chakra but his pain of failure and loneliness.

Naruto let himself be lost in the moment, in the feel of her skin against his, in the taste of her lips, in the rhythm of their hearts beating as one. He trailed kisses down her neck, eliciting soft moans from her. His hands moved to her hips, pulling her even closer.

Sakura's fingers moved deftly, exploring him, stroking him with a rhythm that made him ache with desire. He responded in kind, his hands sliding down to cup her ass, lifting her slightly so she could wrap her legs around his waist. The sensation of her slick skin against his was electrifying as he entered her. They had done this a hundred, no a thousand times before but this felt like the first time.

The hot spring water swirled and bubbled around them as they moved together, their bodies finding a rhythm, a dance as old as time. The flow of chakra grew with every touch, every kiss, every movement, each an expression of their unspoken love and desire. They moved together in perfect harmony, lost in each other, their passion a blazing fire.

As their movements grew more urgent, the intensity of their connection reached a crescendo. The energy between them surged, building up with an almost palpable force. Their breaths came faster, their hearts pounding in sync, their bodies attuned to each other in a way that transcended physicality.

Finally, they reached the peak together, their climax sending waves of pleasure coursing through them. In that moment of release, their combined chakra exploded outward, a pillar of pure energy shooting into the sky, illuminating the night with a brilliant light. The surrounding area shimmered with the afterglow of their powerful connection, the water rippling with the remnants of their intense union.

As the light faded and the water settled, Naruto and Sakura held each other close, their foreheads touching, their breaths mingling. The hot spring water lapped gently around them, soothing their bodies as they basked in the afterglow of their shared moment.

"What do you think, Jiraiya boy?" said Pa as they sat smoking a pipe, looking up into the sky as the afterglow of the beam of chakra faded away.

"I think I have an idea for my next book," said Jiraiya, giggling like a perverted schoolgirl.

The loud clang of an iron pan hitting the back of his head rang out as Ma stood over his fallen form. "That boy needs some manners, Pa," said the elder toad as she walked away.

Pa shook his head, exhaling a puff of smoke. "He'll never learn," he muttered, watching Ma disappear into the distance.
