Fury of the Fox

Karin pushed open the door to the flower shop, and a wave of sweet, earthy fragrance washed over her, a kaleidoscope of scents that danced in the air. The rich aroma of fresh blooms intertwined with the dampness seeping in from the outside world, where the rain began to patter against the windows, each drop a soft percussion against the glass. At nine months pregnant, the overwhelming bouquet twisted in her stomach, prompting a surge of nausea that pulsed through her head like an unwanted visitor. She held her breath for a moment, bracing herself as her gaze fell on the tall, almost breathtaking blonde standing behind the counter, a vision of beauty against the stormy backdrop of the day.

With purpose in her steps, she stormed toward the woman, whose presence seemed to glow amidst the vibrant chaos of petals and greenery. Outside, the rain continued its relentless descent, transforming the street into a glistening mosaic of stone and mud. The flicker of distant lightning illuminated the shop, casting fleeting shadows that danced along the walls.

"Tell your boss I want to talk to her NOW!" Karin snapped, her voice slicing through the fragrant haze with a sharpness she hadn't intended as her stomach turned.

Ino looked up, surprise flickering across her features before settling into a practiced mask of feigned innocence. "But Karin, I'm right here," she replied, her voice warm and disarming as she wiped soil from her fingers, setting aside the small pot she'd been filling—its flowers vibrant and full of life, a stark contrast to the storm brewing outside.

Karin's frustration bubbled over. "I'm not in the mood for games. Call her now." With a swift motion, she slammed her palm down on the counter, the impact sending the pot teetering dangerously close to the edge. It wobbled precariously before falling to the floor, shattering into a mess of soil and colorful petals, a mirror to her own emotions.

"Okay, okay! No need to get all—" Ino started, her playful tone faltering as she instinctively took a few cautious steps back, her eyes darting to the floral disaster at her feet.

In a fluid motion that spoke to her training, she formed a series of hand signs, and with a swift exhalation, vanished in a plume of black smoke and burnt petals. The shop fell silent, leaving Karin alone amidst the fragrant chaos of the air, thick with the scent of blossoms and earth, mixed uneasily with her rising impatience. Outside, the rain drummed steadily against the glass, a rhythmic reminder of the turmoil that awaited her.

Moments later, the smoke swirled and dissipated, revealing a more serious version of the blonde. "Alright, she's on her way. But really, you need to calm down, Karin. You're scaring the flowers," fake Ino quipped, her tone a blend of teasing lightness and genuine concern as if trying to coax the storm inside Karin to subside. Word of the power of the Uzumaki clan head had spread even into the darkness of Root.

Karin rolled her eyes, yet a faint smirk tugged at her lips despite the tension. "Save the jokes for later. This is serious."

"Fair enough," Ino replied, folding her arms under her large breasts, her posture shifting to a more serious demeanor as the atmosphere around them thickened with anticipation. "Just try to breathe, okay? She is coming as quickly as possible."

As they lingered amidst the vibrance of blooming petals and cloying fragrances, Karin's thoughts churned like the tempest outside. She braced herself for the confrontation to come, ready to unearth the truths buried beneath layers of deception, her heart pounding in time with the rain. Ino was a friend she reminded herself even if she sometimes acted the part of an enemy.

The bell above the door chimed softly, slicing through the tension in the air as both women turned their gazes toward the entrance. A cloaked figure stepped inside, the fabric of their rain cloak pooling around their feet like a shadowy puddle. The hood obscured their face, shrouding them in mystery as raindrops clung to the fabric, tracing rivulets down the cloak. With a huff, the figure cast back the hood, revealing yet another Ino, but this one emanated a commanding aura that contrasted sharply with her doppelgänger. The air around her was thick with power and control—an energy that sent a jolt of recognition through Karin.

"What?" the new Ino snapped, her tone laced with authority as she brushed past the other, tossing the damp cloak at her double with a casual flick of her wrist. The cloak fell to the floor, pooling like a defeated opponent as she strode purposefully toward the back room, Karin trailing closely behind.

In the cramped space beyond—a modest room furnished with a sturdy desk and a couple of mismatched chairs—this Ino wasted no time. She moved with purpose, her movements fluid and assured as she poured a cup of steaming tea. The bitter steam curled up into the air, carrying with it the soothing scents of herbs, a stark contrast to the chaos brewing outside. Handing the cup to Karin, she offered a knowing smile. "Here, this should help your stomach," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of empathy. She understood all too well how the overwhelming aroma of flowers bothered Karin as she came closer to her time.

Karin accepted the cup, cradling it in her hands, grateful for the warmth it provided. The delicate porcelain felt like a lifeline against the coolness of the room, and she took a moment to inhale the fragrant steam rising from the surface, letting it soothe her frayed nerves. After a few sips to calm her stomach, she looked up at Ino.

"Now, what is this all about?" Ino asked, her tone shifting as she took a seat on the opposite side of the desk. She leaned forward slightly, her eyes piercing and inquisitive. The teacup in her hand released a column of steam that rose like a miniature cloud, swirling above her head and adding a layer to her commanding presence.

Karin took a moment to gather her thoughts, the warmth of the tea mingling with the tension in the air. "I need answers," she said, her voice steady but edged with urgency. "There are rumors about the village, about a great danger coming. Tayuya says you know something, and I need to know what that is."

Ino arched an eyebrow, her expression shifting from curiosity to seriousness. "Rumors can be dangerous, especially when they stem from misunderstandings," she replied, her tone almost warning. "But if Tayuya sent you here, then we both know it's something more. That woman can smell danger like a bloodhound."

Karin set the tea down, her fingers brushing against the desk's surface, seeking stability as she confronted the truths lurking beneath the surface. "I know enough to understand that with Naruto gone for almost eight months, a lot has changed. Tell me what you know, Ino. It's important that we—all the clans—work together."

Ino regarded her thoughtfully, the flicker of emotions playing across her features like shadows in the dim light. "And what if I can't?" she challenged, leaning back slightly, the air between them thickening with tension. "Secrets are a necessity in this world. Power doesn't just come from strength; it comes from understanding how to wield it."

Karin felt the weight of Ino's words resonate within her, a challenge that forced her to confront her own beliefs about loyalty, power, and the true cost of survival. Outside, the rain continued to drum against the roof, a relentless reminder of the storm raging beyond, mirroring the tempest brewing in their conversation. "I will learn one way or the other, don't you think it would be best if you tell me yourself," said Karin

With a sigh that almost sounded defeated, Ino turned her head sideways, like a cat observing a mouse, not the red-headed tiger that was really there. After a moment of thought, she leaned back. "So, you want to talk about this here? I think we should move to someplace a little more private."

"Private?" Karin asked as if she were speaking to one of her many children. "I can always make it private." Her words were followed by a swift, almost unseen series of hand signs before she slapped her palm down on the desk. A web of black lines shot out, covering every surface until, with a pulse of light, they glowed, pulsing in time with Karin's heartbeat.

"Now tell me what is going on, oh mistress of the shadows," Karin said, sarcasm dripping from her words.

Ino leaned forward, respect showing in her eyes at Karin's skill, all humor was gone. "I have told this to the Hokage, and I know she has yet to share this with the Jonin commanders, but the Akatsuki is on the move. They have captured four of the tailed beasts, killing their hosts. We are not sure if they will target Gaara or Naruto next."

As Ino watched, she saw Karin's sharp mind at work, formulating plans within plans, arriving in mere moments at conclusions that had taken her people weeks to uncover.

"Four? So quickly?" Karin's voice filled with disbelief, her brow furrowing in concern. "Naruto has killed five of them, and Itachi has defected back to the village. How can they have gained so much ground?"

Ino's expression darkened, revealing a rare moment of vulnerability that Karin hadn't expected. "There are some new members. We haven't been able to find anything out about them... yet." The admission hung in the air, heavy with the weight of uncertainty.

Karin crossed her arms, her skepticism palpable. "I thought you had a member of your mind hive clan in every village," she shot back, her tone sharp as she sought to pierce the veil of Ino's confidence.

"I do," Ino replied, her voice steady but edged with frustration. "But these new members don't travel to villages like the others. They're more like ghosts—slipping in and out of shadows, leaving no trace behind." Her eyes flickered with worry, the reality of the situation settling in like a thick fog, obscuring any sense of safety.

"It's hard to spy on someone that doesn't show their face," added Ino allowing some of her frustration to show.

Outside, the storm mirrored the turmoil within the shop, as dark clouds loomed overhead, threatening to unleash more than just rain. Karin could feel the air crackling with danger, and for the first time, uncertainty gnawed at her insides.

"Ghosts, or well-trained Shinobi" Karin echoed, the word tasting bitter on her tongue. "So we're fighting against phantoms now? This just keeps getting better."

Ino leaned forward, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "It's not just about the Akatsuki we know of, we need to be on high alert if they're recruiting members who can vanish without a trace. We can't afford to underestimate them."

Karin met Ino's gaze, the weight of their shared worry binding them together in that tense moment. The silence hung thick, broken only by the steady rhythm of Karin's heartbeat lighting the seals around them and the insistent kick from the baby within her—a reminder that her time was drawing close, and another Uzumaki would soon enter the world. She pressed a hand to her stomach, feeling both pride and impatience simmering beneath her frustration.

"We need to figure out a plan—fast," she muttered, voice edged with urgency. "Damn it, we need Naruto back." Her words held a bite, her frustration with his absence seeping through even as she felt the baby's movements, her own inner turmoil swirling alongside.

Ino nodded, her gaze softening at the mention of Naruto, a flicker of hope lighting her eyes, and longing that Karin could see but said nothing. "Agreed. We'll need every resource we have at our disposal. I know the Hokage is holding you back, but it's time to rally the clans and prepare for what's to come. We can't afford any division right now." Ino emphasized the need for unity even as she kept secrets from everyone but herself.

Outside, the rain continued its relentless rhythm against the roof, the occasional flash of lightning illuminating the room in stark, fleeting shadows. Ino straightened, her focus clear as she added, "I'll send a message to the Daimyo's court. It's high time he made a move to support us. Those two princesses owe us and it's about time they pay up."

Karin felt a flash of irritation at the Daimyo's delay; they had relied on the princesses for help, and yet they hadn't followed through. If they returned to the village, she would have words with them. Tayuya's feelings for them be damned—they would hear from her.

Karin nodded, feeling the weight of what they were proposing. The baby kicked again as if sensing the urgency. Her fingers tightened around her teacup, grounding her in the midst of the turmoil swirling both within and around her.

…..

Naruto left the camp before dawn, slipping quietly out of the arms of Sakura who had found her way into his hut, he moved through the shadows as the women slept soundly, unaware of his departure. The chill of the early morning air nipped at his skin, but he welcomed the bite, feeling alive and focused. Beside him, Killer Bee walked with a steady pace, his presence a reassuring anchor in the encroaching darkness.

The path to the Temple of the Turtle was illuminated only by their touch light and the first hints of dawn creeping over the horizon. As they moved, the silence of the world around them was almost palpable, the stillness heavy with unspoken tensions.

"You know this ain't just a stroll, right?" B remarked, his voice low but light, breaking the silence as they navigated the rocky terrain. "That place holds some serious power, and the Nine-Tails ain't the friendly type."

"I know," Naruto replied, his expression hardening. "But I have to confront him. We can't keep living like enemies. We need to find a way to work together if we're going to survive what's coming."

The temple loomed ahead, a massive structure carved into the mountainside, ancient and imposing. The stone walls seemed to breathe a dark history, and as they stepped inside, Naruto could feel the weight of the creature's presence all around them.

"We stand on the back of Genbu, one of the Four Guardians of Life," Killer B said, his words reverberating off the cold stone. "In his temple, he will contain you and the Nine-Tails until it's done. If you fail, you and the Nine-Tails will remain here until the end of time."

Inside the dimly lit chamber, Naruto paused, letting the solemnity of the place settle over him. Every figure and symbol carved into the walls seemed to tell a story, whispering secrets of power and darkness. The air felt heavy, and charged, as though the very stones resonated with the distant echo of Genbu's power, ready to awaken at the slightest misstep. The great protector of the north, keeper of the balance between earth and water, would stand watch over this fateful battle, his silent promise echoing through the chamber: only the worthy would leave this temple alive.

Killer Bee stepped aside, leaning against a nearby wall. "I'll be right here. Just focus on what you need to do. Meditate, clear your mind."

Naruto nodded, finding a spot in the center of the vast chamber. He sank to his knees, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. The chill of the stone beneath him grounded him, allowing him to feel the energy surrounding the temple, a mix of reverence and foreboding as if the eye of Genbu was watching him.

As he focused, Naruto visualized the Nine-Tails, feeling the dark energy swirling within. He had faced this beast before, but this time he needed to approach it differently. He needed to reach beyond the anger and hatred, to find the part of the creature that longed for something greater.

Images flashed behind his eyelids: moments of pain and loneliness, the weight of a thousand battles fought in isolation. The Nine-Tails was more than just a monster; it was a being shaped by the struggles of its past.

Naruto's breathing steadied as he delved deeper into his mind. He felt the shadows close in, and in that darkness, he could sense the Nine-Tails coiled within, a storm of fury and resentment. He reached out with his chakra, feeling the barriers that separated them, the walls built on fear and mistrust.

Suddenly, a growl echoed in the depths of his consciousness, vibrating through the air. "What do you want, human?" The voice was deep and filled with contempt, resonating within the chamber like thunder.

"I want to talk," Naruto replied, his voice steady despite the dread that clawed at him. "We can't keep living like this, constantly at odds. You don't have to be my enemy."

The Nine-Tails laughed, a sound like cracking ice. "And why should I trust you? You are nothing but a vessel, a weakling who will one day betray me."

Naruto opened his eyes, grounding himself in the present. "I'm not that person anymore. I've fought to become stronger, not just for myself, but for everyone who believes in me. You can be a part of that, too."

"Why would I want to ally myself with a child who knows nothing of power?" the Nine-Tails hissed, its form shifting like a tempest.

"Because I understand pain," Naruto said, his voice unwavering. "I've lost so much, and I've fought against the darkness inside me. We both know what it's like to be trapped by our rage. But we can choose to break free from that cycle."

Silence enveloped them, the air thick with tension as Naruto held his breath, waiting for the Nine-Tails to respond. In that moment, he felt the weight of their shared struggles, the burden of their pasts colliding in an unspoken understanding.

"Speak then, if you think your words hold any weight," the Nine-Tails finally replied, its tone a mixture of skepticism and doubt.

"Let's start by recognizing that we have a common enemy," Naruto said, steeling himself for what lay ahead. "Together, we can be stronger. I can help you focus your power, and you can help me protect those I care about. I know you care for the children and the 'Mates' as you like to call them."

The Nine-Tails regarded him with newfound interest, a flicker of curiosity sparking behind its fierce eyes.

"You think you can change what I am, Child? I am rage incarnate. I exist to destroy."

"I might be a child to you," Naruto shot back, anger igniting within him. "But I've faced the same pain as you. I'm not afraid of you or your power. If you continue down this path, you'll only find yourself alone in your anger, sealed away to never see the world again."

The Nine-Tails shifted, its colossal form rippling with suppressed rage. "And what do you know of betrayal? They will always turn on you, humans always betray those they profess to love."

"I know about loss, about betrayal, and I know what it means to be abandoned," Naruto replied, his voice steady. "But I also know that strength isn't just about power. It's about choosing to fight for something greater than yourself."

The silence hung thick in the air as the Nine-Tails regarded him, a flicker of something deeper behind its burning eyes. "You think you can change what I am? Hate is all I know."

"Maybe that's true," Naruto said, unyielding. "But demons can change. We don't have to be defined by our pasts. You have a choice. Join me, and we can redefine what it means to be powerful."

A low growl escaped the Nine-Tails, the shadows within the chamber shifting ominously. "You are either a fool or brave to speak to me this way."

"Maybe I'm both," Naruto replied, unwavering. "But I believe we can forge a new path, one where we aren't just defined by our struggles. We can protect those we care about, together."

As the dawn light began to filter through the temple, illuminating the darkness, the tension hung in the air, waiting for a resolution. The Nine-Tails considered him, the glow of its eyes softening ever so slightly.

"Perhaps I will give you a chance to prove yourself, human. But know this: betrayal comes at a cost, and I will not hold back even if it cost me my life."

Naruto felt a flicker of hope as the darkness around them shifted, a hint of understanding sparking between him and the beast that loomed in the shadows. "I won't let you down. Together, we'll show the world what we're capable of."

As he spoke, the morning light began to filter into the chamber, illuminating the cold, hard surfaces around them. The light pulsed, flooding the space with warmth before retreating, a reminder of the new dawn outside—while within his mind, time moved sluggishly, caught in the depths of their impending struggle.

The air crackled with tension as Naruto rose to his feet, his physical form kneeling on the floor as his astral self stepped forward, bracing for what lay ahead. He could feel the oppressive weight of Kurama's chakra pressing down on him, a suffocating force that sought to crush his resolve.

"Remove the seal, Boy," Kurama commanded, his voice a low growl reverberating through the chamber. The Nine-Tails towered high above, casting an enormous shadow that enveloped Naruto. Bars of spiritual energy shimmered around them, the only barrier standing between him and the beast.

Naruto clenched his fists, a surge of determination coursing through him. "I won't be your puppet anymore," he declared, feeling the heat of Kurama's chakra seeping into his skin, igniting the fires of battle within him.

"Foolish human," Kurama sneered, the bars rattling as he strained against them. "You think you can control my power? You will only meet your end!"

With a deep breath, Naruto centered himself, feeling the flicker of hope ignite into a blaze within. "I'm not here to fight you," he asserted, his voice steady despite the oppressive atmosphere. "I'm here to prove that we can be allies. You don't have to be alone anymore. We can be friends."

Kurama's eyes narrowed, suspicion etched into his features. "You think friendship can break the chains of my existence? You're delusional the world is full of hate that only feeds on itself creating more hate."

Naruto felt the weight of Kurama's doubt but pressed on, ready for the challenge ahead. "No, I'm not delusional. I'm here to fight for what's right, for me, for my family, for you, and for everyone who I care for. And I want you to fight with me, not against me."

As the light pulsed again singling the start of a new day illuminating the chamber in a golden hue, the stage was set for the confrontation that would determine their fates.

Moving quickly to the bars between them Naruto reached up and pulled off the seal from the bars and with a roar as if the old gods were yelling at him to stop the bars faded and he was face to face with the Nine-tail, nothing but his own will and that of the beast keeping them apart.

"You are a fool." said the nine tail and with a swift movement batted Naruto away with its paw only to see Naruto leap away and with a cry of "Multi-shadow clone Jutsu" did he see hundreds of Naruto rushing at him.
"It doesn't have to be this way, we can find a better path." yelled the Narutos as one even as they each formed a Rasengan to slam into the fox's body.

The Nine-Tails snarled, its massive form twisting as it unleashed a fierce wave of chakra, the force of it creating shockwaves that sent Naruto's clones sprawling. "You think numbers will save you, child? I am a beast of legend! You are nothing but a fleeting shadow!" The irony of his words is not lost on Naruto.

But Naruto, fueled by the will of fire, surged forward again. "I won't give up! You don't have to be alone anymore!" As he called out, a swarm of clones reformed, each brandishing a glowing Rasengan, their voices merging into a single rallying cry.

The Nine-Tails responded with a flick of its massive tail, sending a powerful gust of wind that scattered the clones like autumn leaves. "Your words are meaningless! I am rage incarnate. I exist to destroy!"

Unfazed, Naruto reformed his clones and regrouped, focusing his energy. "I know what it's like to be filled with rage! But we can choose to rise above it!" The remaining clones charged in, their Rasengans glowing brighter.

With a roar, the Nine-Tails unleashed a wave of dark chakra, the air thick with malevolence. "You think you can change what I am? You don't understand the depths of my suffering!" It swiped its tail again, the tip crackling with energy, slamming down toward Naruto and his clones.

"Rasengan!" Naruto shouted, a Rasengan in each hand, and as the tail crashed down, he thrust them upward, the impact causing an explosion of chakra. The force sent shockwaves through the chamber, rocks, and debris flying as Naruto's clones disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

He landed back on his feet, breathless but unyielding. "You think you're the only one who suffers? I've lost everything! But I keep fighting! We can both be more than our pain! I now have something to fight for, people that love me and I love them, you can have that too, I know you can."

The Nine-Tails' eyes narrowed, its fiery gaze locking onto Naruto. "You have no idea what true pain is. You're just a child playing at heroism."

Naruto felt the weight of those words, but he pressed on, feeling the swell of chakra around him. "I may be young, but I've faced demons just like you, demons in human form! And I know we can turn our suffering into strength! We can protect those we care about together!"

With a growl, the Nine-Tails unleashed its signature attack: the Tailed Beast Bomb. The swirling mass of dark energy gathered in front of its maw, pulsating with destructive potential. "You will regret this, human!"

Naruto's eyes widened, but he didn't flinch. "I won't let you destroy everything I care about!" Channeling all his chakra, he focused on creating a massive Rasenshuriken. "Rasenshuriken!" he yelled, launching it toward the Tailed Beast Bomb.

The two attacks collided, creating a catastrophic explosion that shook the very foundations of the temple. The energy surged, mixing in a chaotic display of power as Naruto pushed against the overwhelming force of the Nine-Tails. The chakra of the temple, of the very turtle it stood on flashed for a moment as it absorbed the chakra from them both. Genbu's power was greater than a dozen foxes as he pulled the chakra back into the world's life force. Out in the real world, B was shocked awake feeling the power all around him.

As the smoke began to clear, Naruto emerged from the chaos, battered but standing strong. "I won't back down! You can't hide behind your anger forever! Let's find a better way!"

The Nine-Tails hesitated, its form flickering for a moment as it absorbed the impact of the Rasenshuriken. "You're persistent, I'll give you that. But you don't understand! The world is cruel. It only brings suffering and hate to those that love."

"Maybe it does," Naruto replied, panting heavily, his determination unwavering. "But together, we can face that suffering! You don't have to destroy to be powerful! You can protect! Protect the family, protect the children, that is all I ask."

The Nine-Tails snarled, visibly rattled by Naruto's words. "You believe that you can change me? I am a force of nature!"

"Yes!" Naruto shouted, confidence surging through him. "Because you are a part of me, just as I am a part of you! We can learn from each other! Don't you want to be free from your rage?"

With a roar, the Nine-Tails unleashed its tails, each one swinging with devastating force. "You think you can reach me with your childish ideals? I will crush your dreams!"

Naruto dodged the first tail, rolling to the side, and then leaping into the air as another tail whipped past him. "I know what I want! And it's not just power—it's to fight for something greater! To make the world safe and my family happy. Join Me!"

He focused his chakra, channeling it into another Super Rasengan. "We can be allies! We can protect the ones we love!" He hurled the Rasengan directly at the Nine-Tails' face, the impact causing it to stagger back.

The Nine-Tails, momentarily thrown off balance, growled in frustration. "You are insufferable!"

Naruto pressed his advantage. "Then let's work together to be something greater than our pain! We can be unstoppable!"

The Nine-Tails growled but paused, its eyes flickering with uncertainty. "What if I cannot trust you? What if you betray me as they all have?"

"I won't!" Naruto shouted back, his voice filled with conviction. "I promise! I've faced betrayal, too. But we can rise above it! You're not just a beast to me—you can be my partner!"

For a moment, silence enveloped them as the Nine-Tails considered Naruto's words, its fiery eyes glowing with a mix of fury and curiosity. "You are truly naive," it finally said, its tone almost contemplative.

"Maybe," Naruto replied, catching his breath, sweat dripping from his brow. "But I believe in us. Together, we can face anything!"

With a roar, the Nine-Tails charged forward again, but this time, there was something different in its movements—a hesitation, an inkling of understanding lurking beneath its rage.

"You think this will change anything?" it hissed as it lashed out with its tails again, but Naruto's eyes shone with a willpower that could not be stopped.

As the Nine-Tails lunged, its tails sweeping through the air like deadly whips, Naruto darted to the side, narrowly avoiding the crushing force. The beast's growl echoed in the cavernous space, a chilling sound that rattled the very walls. But amidst the chaos of their battle, the Nine-Tails felt something stir within—an emotion long buried beneath layers of rage and pain.

With each clash of jutsu, the Nine-Tails saw flashes of memories, vivid and poignant, moments from a distant past that clawed at its heart. It was a life before the pain, before the endless cycle of hatred and revenge. Images of a family—a mother, a father, and playful children—flickered through its mind, each memory like a ghostly whisper that beckoned it to remember what it once was.

"Children?" the Nine-Tails growled, momentarily distracted by the images. "You think family can change anything? They will only suffer like I have!"

But Naruto seized the moment, his voice steady and filled with compassion. "No! They will not! I won't let them! Look at what I've built! Look at the love that surrounds me! I have a family who cares, and they give me strength every day! I know what it's like to be alone, but together, we can make something beautiful."

As Naruto spoke, the Nine-Tails' memories collided with the reality of Naruto's words. He saw glimpses of Naruto's wives—Karin and Tayuya—standing by his side, their faces filled with warmth and encouragement. He envisioned children laughing, and playing in the fields, their innocent joy lighting up the world. The very thought of it sent a tremor through the beast, the long-forgotten yearning for connection igniting a flicker of hope deep within its core.

"You think love can conquer all?" the Nine-Tails hissed, a mix of skepticism and intrigue in its voice. "You are but a child, dreaming of a world that does not exist!"

But Naruto, undeterred, continued. "It exists, I promise you! I've fought to protect those I love, and they have fought for me. I've lost, I've hurt, but I've also found joy, laughter, and purpose! We can build a future together, one where pain doesn't have to define us!"

With each word, the Nine-Tails felt the barriers around its heart cracking, memories flooding in—nights spent under the stars, laughter echoing through the air, a family united against the darkness. It was a feeling so foreign yet so intoxicating, a warmth that cut through the coldness of its existence.

"What do you know of suffering?" the Nine-Tails roared, lashing out with another attack, but this time, there was less fury in its strikes, a tinge of uncertainty threading through its movements.

"I know enough!" Naruto shouted back, leaping to evade the powerful tails. "But I also know that we don't have to carry it alone! I want you to feel what I feel, to know the bonds that can be forged through love and trust. You can be part of something greater than your pain, and I can show you!"

In that moment of conflict, the Nine-Tails saw a flicker of light in Naruto's eyes—an unwavering belief that echoed the essence of hope itself. It felt the weight of its own heart, heavy with centuries of loneliness, and the possibility of being something more tugged at its spirit.

As they continued to clash, Naruto unleashed another wave of chakra, summoning more clones, each one embodying his conviction. "Look at them! Look at my family!" he cried, gesturing to the faces that swirled around him, those who stood by his side, each one a testament to the strength of their bonds.

And for the first time, the Nine-Tails hesitated, its fiery eyes narrowing as it contemplated the very notion of family—something it had long given up on. "What if I embrace this... this 'family'? What if I become vulnerable? What if they suffer for my choices?"

Naruto felt the shift, the tiniest crack in the armor of the beast's heart. "You have a choice! You can learn to trust again! Together, we can protect them! You don't have to fight alone! You can be their guardian!"

With a surge of power, the Nine-Tails unleashed one final Tailed Beast Bomb, but this time, it wasn't directed at Naruto. Instead, it soared into the sky, illuminating the dark cavern with a brilliant light—a signal of its surrender to the hope that Naruto had ignited within it.

"You... you would accept me?" the Nine-Tails asked, its voice trembling, a mix of anger and vulnerability.

Naruto nodded, breathless but resolute. "Yes! You can be part of my family! We can stand together against the darkness, you and I. It's not about being alone anymore! It's about finding strength in each other!"

The Nine-Tails paused, a deep rumble vibrating through its form as it considered Naruto's words, the weight of its own pain clashing with the allure of connection and acceptance. "Then show me," it finally said, the ferocity in its voice giving way to a whisper of hope. "Show me that there is still something worth fighting for."

With that, Naruto smiled, a light in his eyes that shone with determination. "Together, we'll find a new path. I promise you this: you will never be alone again."

At that moment, beneath the temple and the weight of their battle, the bond between Naruto and the Nine-Tails began to take root—a promise of trust, a flicker of hope, and the chance for a future united in strength and love.

As Naruto slowly rose to his feet, the remnants of the Tailed Beast cloak its golden glow still shimmering around him, he felt a rush of energy surging through his body. The chakra radiated off him in waves, intertwining with the very essence of the temple and resonating with the power he had just awakened with his newfound friend the Nine-Tails. Exhausted but exhilarated, he looked around, the battlefield gone, the room now silent in the aftermath of their intense confrontation.

Standing off to the side, Killer B couldn't contain his excitement any longer. His characteristic grin stretched wide across his face, and without a second thought, he broke into song, his rhythmic voice echoing through the temple:

"Yo! Yo! It's time to rise,

Naruto's back, ready to surprise!

A battle fought in the depths of the mind,

With the Nine-Tails now intertwined!

You faced the beast, strong and true,

Now you're cloaked in power, it's all brand new!

Through shadows and darkness, you found the light,

Together as partners, ready for the fight!"

As he danced and twirled, B's movements were a fusion of strength, rhythm, and humor, the essence of a true Jinchuriki who had always embraced the power within. He clapped his hands together, the beats of his song intertwining with the pulsing energy in the air.

Naruto couldn't help but laugh, the infectious energy of B's song lifting his spirits even higher. "Thanks, B! I needed that!" he exclaimed, feeling the warmth of camaraderie swell within him.

Naruto felt the spirit of his friends surrounding him, the warmth of their support like a gentle embrace. "Together, we can face anything!" he shouted, feeling the power of the Nine-Tails alongside his own, ready to embrace the future.

As B finished his song with an exuberant flourish, the air around them crackled with renewed energy, the power of their bond stronger than ever. Naruto felt invincible, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead, buoyed by the rhythm of friendship and the promise of a brighter future. Together, with the Nine-Tails and Killer B by his side, they would carve their path forward—united, unstoppable, and filled with hope.

…..

As Naruto walked back to the camp under the starlit sky, he felt a weight lift from his shoulders, he felt free, truly free for the first time in his life. The quiet air around him hummed with new energy, the presence of the Nine-Tails simmering in harmony within him. Kurama as he had learned the name of the Nine-Tail was a silent partner watching over him now more like an older brother. Yet, as he drew closer, the crackling sound of a campfire and the low murmur of voices brought him back to reality. He steeled himself for what was coming, B had told him he had been gone a week without any word and it was bound to stir emotions in the camp.

He stepped into the clearing, and four pairs of eyes shot his way. Karui was the first to spot him, her face a storm of anger and relief that she could barely contain. "Naruto Uzumaki! Do you have any idea what you put us through?" She stomped toward him, fists clenched, her voice sharp. "We thought you were dead, you idiot! And not even a damn word to let us know you were alright?"

Naruto gave her an apologetic smile, scratching the back of his head. "I... didn't mean to worry you. Things got complicated."

Karui huffed, crossing her arms and looking away with an irritated sigh. "You always make things complicated. Just... just don't disappear on us like that again!"

As Karui simmered, Temari came forward, her usual steely demeanor softened by a worried frown. Her gaze swept over him, and she exhaled, tension leaving her shoulders. "We all thought the worst," she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I thought I'd have to go back to the kids without you." She gave him a stern look, but there was a flicker of relief in her eyes. "Try to keep us in the loop next time. We're in this together."

Naruto nodded, feeling the warmth of her concern. "I'm sorry, Temari. I'll make sure you're not left in the dark."

Sakura was next, stepping forward with arms crossed, but her expression was more hopeful than anything. She studied him closely, taking in the faint golden aura still flickering around him. "You did it, didn't you?" she asked, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You made peace with the Nine-Tails."

Naruto returned her smile with a nod. "Yeah, it wasn't easy, but… we're partners now." He felt the energy of the Nine-Tails hum within him, a newfound unity that had altered his chakra and spirit. "He's... not what I thought he was."

Sakura's expression softened, admiration clear in her eyes. "Only you could do something like that, Naruto. Just… don't scare us like that again. We're here for you, you know."

Naruto took her hand and squeezed it, grateful for her steady presence. "I know. Thank you, Sakura."

Fu stood off to the side, her eyes wide with wonder and a tinge of shyness. She had watched the others speak, but now that it was her turn, she hesitated. Naruto noticed and offered her a gentle smile. "Fu, what's on your mind?"

She shuffled her feet, glancing away before looking back at him. "I just… I was worried too. It's strange, but I feel this… connection with you. Maybe because of the Tailed Beasts, but… I didn't want to lose you. Your family now and I think that is important." Her voice was soft, but the sincerity in her words touched him deeply even as she moved up behind Sakura and wrapped her arms around the pink-haired girl as if this was normal and maybe it now was.

Naruto looked at her and Sakura and shrugged, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you, Fu. I felt that too. And trust me, I won't let you down. None of you."

The campfire crackled as the warmth of reunion spread among them. Naruto sat down with his friends, letting their presence ground him after the week of inner turmoil.

As Naruto sank onto a log by the fire, the others exchanged glances, and soon enough, a plate piled high with food was shoved into his hands. He blinked in surprise, then realized just how ravenous he was. Seven days without food felt like an eternity to his stomach, and before he knew it, he was tearing into the meal with a ferocity that made the others stare.

Karui smirked, crossing her arms as she watched him devour the food. "Look at him go! You'd think we hadn't fed him in years. Slow down, you'll choke!"

But Naruto barely heard her, too busy stuffing his face with rice, meat, and anything else they handed him. Temari handed him a second helping with a laugh, her eyebrow raised. "Careful, or you'll eat yourself into a coma. We need you awake, you know."

Naruto barely paused between bites, grinning at her through a mouthful. "This… is… amazing!" he managed, his voice muffled as he stuffed another dumpling in his mouth. "You have no idea how long it's been!"

Fu giggled softly from the side, watching Naruto wolf down the food. "You look like a kid who's never seen ramen in his life," she teased, a shy smile brightening her face. "Maybe we should start rationing if this is how you're going to eat."

Naruto looked up, pouting in mock offense, cheeks still stuffed. "I've been through a lot! This is my reward!" He took another huge bite and grinned at Fu, who laughed, covering her mouth.

Sakura, however, rolled her eyes, but couldn't help smiling. "Alright, alright, but if you keep going like that, don't expect me to help when you inevitably get a stomachache," she said, though her words were light and teasing.

Naruto just laughed, waving off her warning as he reached for another helping. "Worth it!"

As the others continued to tease him, Naruto ate with unrestrained joy, crumbs flying, and his childlike excitement infectious. The mood around the campfire shifted, everyone relaxing, feeling the warmth and laughter pulling them together in a way that only Naruto could inspire. For a moment, the seriousness of their journey faded, replaced by the simple joy of sharing a meal, the sound of laughter mingling with the crackling of the fire.

When he finally polished off the last bite, Naruto leaned back with a sigh, patting his stomach. "Now that's what I call a feast. Thanks, guys."

Sakura rolled her eyes again, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Just try not to fall asleep right here."

Naruto grinned, feeling the lightness of the moment settle over him, knowing that this bond, this family, was exactly what he'd fought so hard to protect.

The firelight flickered warmly around the group as laughter filled the night air, Naruto animatedly recounting his battle with the demigod. He was halfway through an exaggerated description of dodging a monstrous jutsu when the sound of rapid footsteps shattered the jovial mood.

Omoi burst into the camp, his face pale and eyes wide with alarm. Over his shoulder was a tall, blonde woman slung like a rag doll, her battered form slumped and unmoving. The firelight caught her features, illuminating the blood streaking her face, one eye swollen shut, and singed hair clinging to her forehead. Her clothes were torn, and half-burned, and blood trickled from her cracked lips, leaving a dark stain down her chin.

Killer B's eyes widened, and he was on his feet in an instant, his voice booming in panic. "Yugito!" he shouted, his tone unlike anything the others had ever heard from him—raw, desperate, filled with urgency. He stumbled forward, reaching for her with shaking hands. "Yo, yo! This can't be! What happened to my sister, my friend, Nii?!"

Omoi set Yugito down gently as Killer B hovered close, his expression torn between fury and fear. Naruto and the others gathered around, chaos and confusion filling the air as they exchanged panicked glances. B's face twisted in agony as he took in Yugito's injuries, muttering under his breath as he clutched his fists. "Who did this to you, Yugito? I swear, they'll pay!"

"Sakura!" Karui's voice cut through the confusion, steady but laced with worry as she gestured for Sakura to take charge, she had learned many things over the past week and one was that Sakura was the best medic in the world.

Sakura moved quickly, laying Yugito flat on the ground. She reached for her medical supplies, her hands glowing green as she began her healing techniques. "Everyone, back up!" Sakura commanded, her voice sharp and authoritative. "I need space to work!"

Naruto and the others stepped back, watching in silence as Sakura's hands moved over Yugito's battered form. Her chakra flowed through Yugito's body, closing wounds and soothing the bruises that marred her face. Blood stopped seeping from her lips, and her breathing grew steadier as Sakura continued her work.

"There is a lot of internal bleeding, we need fluids," said Sakura as if talking to a team of nurses she didn't have.

Killer B paced back and forth, hands running over his head as he muttered to himself. "My friend, my sister… who did this? Just say the name, and I'll strike like thunder!" His usual playful tone was nowhere to be found; instead, it was replaced with raw, seething anger and desperation.

As the green glow from Sakura's hands spread, Yugito let out a pained gasp, her one good eye fluttering open to take in the faces around her. She reached out weakly, her voice hoarse and barely a whisper. "B… they came out of nowhere… too strong…"

"Don't worry, Yugito," Sakura murmured, her voice gentle as she concentrated on healing. "You're safe now. Just focus on breathing, stay with me now."

As Sakura's chakra pulsed, Yugito's labored breaths grew steadier, and the chaos around the campfire began to settle. Killer B dropped to his knees beside her, gripping her hand tightly, his face softening with relief as her condition slowly stabilized. "Hang tight, sis… you're safe here. We'll get whoever did this," he promised, his voice low but brimming with rage.

As Yugito's one good eye cracked open, she rasped a single word, her voice trembling with a fear that cut through the campfire's warmth. "Akatsuki," she whispered, her gaze darting around, haunted. "They're… coming." And with that, her eye closed, her body surrendering to exhaustion as she slipped back into unconsciousness.

The camp fell deathly silent as everyone processed the gravity of her words. Akatsuki. The name struck like a thunderclap, and a cold wave of dread spread through the group. For a moment, no one moved; every shinobi was tense as if frozen by some invisible force.

"Water! I need clean water, and somebody build me a tent to work in," yelled Sakura as frantically moved her glowing hands over Yugito.

Then, Killer B sprang into action, his voice a booming call to arms. "You heard her! Akatsuki's on the move! Everyone, positions—now! You three set up a tent NOW!" His commands snapped the shinobi out of their stupor, and the entire camp exploded with activity.

Shinobi darted across Turtle Island, the rhythmic thud of boots pounding against the earth. Torches flared, illuminating the camp in harsh light, and casting long shadows against the surrounding trees. Within minutes, Land of Lightning shinobi assembled in formation, each group moving with practiced precision as they readied themselves. B's voice rang through the night, directing squads to take up strategic positions along the island's perimeter, preparing for any incoming threat.

Naruto's gaze swept across the camp, heart pounding with worry as he watched everyone ready themselves. The severity of the situation settled in when he noticed familiar faces from nearby villages joining the mobilization. Karui, eyes hardened with resolve, was already at the edge of the island, coordinating with Omoi and their squad to secure the coastline. Temari, usually so calm, was now standing near the main camp entrance, her fan open and poised for a potential strike.

Hours passed, the night thick with tension as shinobi continued to arrive. They appeared in waves, their silhouettes marching in the distance under the glow of the moon. By daybreak, Turtle Island was crawling with shinobi, each one armed and alert, their weapons gleaming in the dawn light. Even the Raikage himself appeared, storming into the camp at first light, his powerful presence adding a layer of assurance as he commanded his warriors into their posts.

B approached the Raikage, his face a mixture of anger and worry. "Yugito's in rough shape, bro, but Sakura's doing all she can. Once she's awake, we'll have answers—and the Akatsuki won't know what hit them!"

The Raikage's fists clenched as he surveyed his forces, his expression as sharp as steel. "They'd better be prepared for the full might of the Land of Lightning," he growled. His gaze shifted to the horizon, where shinobi were setting up a perimeter, their eyes scanning for any sign of the enemy. "We're here to protect our own, no matter what it takes."

Naruto stayed close to the main tent they had set up for Sakura, his gaze drifting toward her every few minutes as she continued her intensive healing on Yugito. The glow from her jutsu illuminated the tent from within as Sakura unlocked the gates of nature, using all her power to try to save someone who had barely survived having their tailed beast torn from them. Yugito lay on the edge of death, her breathing shallow and labored as her body struggled to hold on. The rest of their group waited nearby, their expressions reflecting the heavy worry and tension that thickened the air. The unease grew, building with every hour as dawn gave way to morning, and morning to noon—yet no sign of the Akatsuki emerged.

Killer B's voice softened with frustration as he called over to Karui. "Where are they? You'd think if they were coming, we'd see some action by now."

Karui shrugged, her eyes scanning the treeline. "Maybe they're regrouping, waiting for us to tire out," she muttered. "Akatsuki's tricky like that—they know how to make you second-guess."

As the day dragged on, the shinobi grew restless, hands twitching over weapons, nerves on edge as they kept watch. But with every hour that passed, it became clearer: there would be no attack today. The enemy was nowhere to be found, leaving the warriors of the Land of Lightning standing guard over an empty horizon.

Temari came floating down out of the sky, she had used her fan and wind jutsu to fly endless circles around the island to no effect, "I can't see anything but our people, I don't think they are coming ." she said to the Raikage as she landed.

The Raikage's face twisted with anger, and he turned sharply to B. "We'll keep our forces on high alert, but this delay is something we can't afford. Once Yugito wakes, we'll have answers. Until then, keep the shinobi prepared—but don't exhaust them." Then, with a commanding tone, he turned to his men and barked, "No one stands down until we know what happened to her."

B gave a nod, his gaze sparking with fierce loyalty. He rallied the surrounding shinobi with a look of shared understanding, their readiness evident. Just then, Sakura emerged from the tent, visibly worn out, with deep shadows under her eyes that made her look almost owl-like. Blood smeared her hands, and her once-clean dress was now stained with fluids no one dared to question.

"Her tailed beast is gone," she said to the Raikage, her voice steady but strained. "I don't know how, but she's alive—barely. The damage to her chakra network is extensive. I've done everything I can, but now… we'll have to wait and see if she recovers enough to regain consciousness. I … I have to tell you she may never be able to use chakra again."

A few steps away, Naruto sat alone, staring into the distance, his gaze unfocused as he quietly spoke with Kurama in his mind.

"Do you think she'll make it?" Naruto asked, his tone heavy with worry.

Kurama rumbled within him, his voice filled with anger. "The woman is strong, but so was my sister, Matatabi. They must pay for what they've done."

Naruto clenched his fists. "Pay? Yes. But first, we have to find them and figure out what they're doing with the tailed beasts. We can't just run off without a plan."

Kurama growled in agreement. "The lands are vast. It would take an army to search everywhere."

"An army…" Naruto's eyes widened as the idea clicked. "Yes! That's it!"

He leaped to his feet, drawing curious glances from nearby shinobi.

"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu! BEAST MODE!" Naruto roared as he glowed bright yellow. In a surge of chakra, a hundred clones appeared, then a thousand, each radiating energy as they filled the island. As each clone's feet hit the ground, they immediately scattered, leaping into action. A sea of blonde swept across the island, clones spilling over the water's edge, darting toward every shore and spreading out like a tidal wave. They adopted the appearances of villagers and travelers, each imbued with enough chakra to search for weeks if necessary, moving out into the farthest reaches, hunting down any trace of Akatsuki and their plans.

The island watched, momentarily awed by the sheer scale of Naruto's army, an unstoppable force now spreading in every direction. The Raikage, seeing Naruto's resolve, gave a single approving nod, his fury now tempered with respect for the man the boy had become.

As the blond horde faded away, everyone shook their heads, thinking Naruto was being reckless, not understanding that he now had the chakra to support this many clones and years of experience on how to handle the memories flooding back. Only Sakura had an inkling of what he could do, while the other girls thought it was a waste of chakra.

Unbeknownst to them, a tall blonde slipped out of the forest, her pale eyes sparkling with mischief. No one noticed her as she sneaked up behind Naruto, tapping him lightly on the shoulder.

"Hmm?" he jumped, startled, completely unaware of her approach.

Turning around, he was greeted by a girl who looked remarkably like Ino. "Ino! What are you doing here?" he exclaimed, a grin spreading across his face.

"I'm not the clan head, just a cousin," she said with a playful smirk. "But I'll take the compliment!"

"What?!" Naruto's eyes went wide with surprise. "Who are you?"

"Name's Haru," she said, casually brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as if she hadn't just popped out of nowhere. "I've come with an important message from Ino."

"A message?" He rubbed the back of his head, winding what Ino would want now. "What's it about?"

"Let's just say," she leaned in closer, lowering her voice dramatically as she whispered into his ear, her warm breath sending delightful shivers down his spine, "she needs you back in the village. Things are getting a bit… chaotic without you around."

Naruto pulled back, scratching his head in confusion. He glanced back toward the clones vanishing into the distance. "But I'm busy! We're hunting down the Akatsuki!"

Haru pouted playfully, her eyes glinting with mischief. "But Naruto, you can't just leave your friends hanging! Besides, do you know what's happening in a couple of weeks?"

"NO! What's happening?" His brow furrowed as he tried to recall if he'd forgotten something important.

"You're going to be a daddy again!" Haru beamed, clearly enjoying the playful banter. "And trust me, you don't want to miss Karin and Tayuya going into labor again. They might just lock you out of the house for good if you do!"

Naruto nodded, a bubble of joy mixed with a hint of panic welling up inside him. "Oh my god, we have to get back there quickly!" His voice boomed, drawing curious glances from Sakura and Temari, who approached with puzzled expressions.

"What's going on, Naruto?" Temari asked, concern lacing her voice as she wondered if all those clones had fried his brain.

Looking between the two blondes, Naruto felt a surge of confusion. Before he could speak, Haru's smile widened, and with a playful twirl, she flicked her wrist. "Oh, don't worry! I'm using a little mind jutsu so only you can see and hear me."

"Got it!" he said, nodding vigorously. "But can't you let them see you?" He gestured to Sakura and Temari, who were giving him the kind of look that suggested he lost his mind and was talking to a tree.

Haru giggled, her playful demeanor shining through. "Why, it's cute that they think you've gone completely bonkers! Besides, it's much more fun this way, don't you think?"

"Yeah, but—" Naruto began, but he couldn't help but smile at her infectious energy. Maybe this was exactly what he needed to lighten the mood.

"Naruto?" Sakura said, her voice taking on that familiar tone that warned him he was treading on thin ice, her hand glowed as she reached out to him thinking something was terribly wrong.

"OK, OK, I know that mean mama voice," Haru said with a teasing grin. With a snap of her fingers, she released the jutsu. To Sakura and Temari, it looked like a tall, overly attractive blonde in a skin-tight black body suit had popped out of thin air, her arm casually draped over Naruto's shoulder, a wide grin plastered on her face.

"What the—?" Sakura's eyes widened in disbelief, her jaw dropping. "Naruto! Who is this?!"

Haru winked at Sakura, her playful demeanor undeterred. "Just a friendly little Yamanaka, here with an important message for our favorite ninja! No need to worry!" Her grin was wide but the two women noticed her smile didn't reach her eyes.

Temari crossed her arms, a skeptical brow raised. "A friendly Yamanaka who just happens to look like Ino? This isn't suspicious at all."

"Hey, I can't help it if the genes are strong!" Haru laughed, flipping her hair over her shoulder with flair moving a little to the left using Temari as a shield from prying eyes. "But really, I'm just here to make sure Naruto doesn't get himself into trouble by forgetting his responsibilities."

"Responsibilities?" Sakura echoed hands on her hips. "Are you sure you're not making it worse? Naruto doesn't have time to go play games with you or Ino for that matter."

Naruto chuckled nervously, glancing between the two blondes. "It's all good! Right, Haru?"

"Absolutely!" she chimed, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I am bringing him news that he has forgotten."

Sakura shot Naruto a look that clearly said, What kind of trouble have you gotten into now? But before he could respond, Haru leaned in closer, whispering conspiratorially, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone you were talking to a tree before I showed up."

"I was not talking to a tree!" Naruto protested, his cheeks flushing a bit. "It was Kurama."

"What is the news?" Temari interjected, her gaze narrowing at Haru, clearly unimpressed with the blonde's playful demeanor. If she didn't take her hands off Naruto soon, there was going to be trouble.

"Well… Ino said that if Naruto isn't back in the village in the next two weeks, he's going to miss the births of his next two children, and…" Haru leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a dramatic whisper, "Tayuya said she would cut off his balls if he wasn't there."

"Yeah…" Temari stepped back, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow. "That sounds about right. God, has it been that long? Time flies when you're fighting a world-killing monster."

"B! Killer B!" yelled out Naruto, quickly backing away from the three women, thinking it would be safer around the guys.

"Yo yo, my flaming friend!" B called out, waving enthusiastically.

"B, I've got to go back to the village! My wife is having a baby in a week or two. I can't miss that; she'd kill me," Naruto said, trying to keep the urgency out of his voice while avoiding the full story.

B nodded knowingly, a serious look crossing his face. "I can't fault you for that. You better run, or they'll think you're a rat!"

Naruto chuckled nervously, glancing back at Haru, who was still grinning like a cat who just caught a canary. "Right! Time to go!" He turned, ready to leave but paused as Haru flashed him a wink.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure no one else hears about your little tree chat," she said with a playful smirk.

"Thanks, I guess," Naruto replied, shaking his head as he sprinted off toward the village. The image of Tayuya's threat was fresh in his mind, and the thought of being on the receiving end of that kind of wrath made him pick up the pace.

As he dashed away, he could hear B's laughter echoing behind him. "Good luck, my man! You'll need it!"

"Did he just run off like that?" Sakura asked, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Guess so," Temari replied, her gaze still fixed on the path Naruto had taken. "He must be scared of Tayuya. I hope he knows what he's doing."

Haru looked from one to the other dropping her charade of playfulness, "The Hokage is worried, we have reports that four of the tailed beasts have been captured, their containers killed. Ino wants you all to return to the village."

Just then, a rustling in the tent nearby caught their attention, and Yugito emerged, looking pale and weak. She looked around with her one good eye, but she managed to stand. "What's going on? Where am I?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Yugito!" Sakura rushed to her side, instinctively supporting her as she swayed. "You're in our camp. You were hurt badly… but you're safe now."

"What happened?" Yugito's gaze darted around, taking in the concerned faces of her companions and the chaos surrounding them. "I remember... the Akatsuki. They attacked us."

Temari stepped closer, her voice steady but edged with urgency. "They're still out there, Yugito. We need to know what happened to you. Can you tell us?"

Yugito's brow furrowed as she concentrated, trying to piece together the fragments of her memory. "They came out of nowhere. I tried to fight, but… they were too strong. I saw… I saw them taking down my team like they were nothing. I don't know if anyone got away." She leaned heavily against Sakura, exhaustion clawing at her.

Killer B, who had been pacing nearby, stopped abruptly, his expression darkening. "They took down your teammate, those were good men."

Sakura nodded, her chakra flaring. "I'll need to stabilize you, Yugito you're still too weak. We can't afford to lose you. If the Akatsuki are targeting Jinchūriki, they could come back after Killer B. We need to inform all the villages and prepare for a counterattack."

"Right," Yugito replied, her voice gaining a bit of strength. "But I need to tell you something first. Before I passed out… I overheard them talking. They're after something specific."

"What do you mean?" Temari pressed

"They mentioned a god and something about 'unlocking its potential.' I think they're after all the tailed beasts," Yugito explained, her voice growing steadier as the adrenaline kicked in. "If they get a hold of them all… it could mean disaster."

Killer B clenched his fists, rage boiling beneath the surface. "If they want the Gyūki, they'll have to go through me first."

Yugito offered a faint, grateful look before her expression turned serious. "We need to be smart about this. Charging in recklessly is what got us into this mess. They're a threat, and we can't underestimate them."

Sakura's hand glowed with healing chakra as she continued stabilizing Yugito. "We're taking her back to the Leaf Village. The only way I can save her is with a full medical team, and if Akatsuki strikes again, we need her safe and hidden."

Just then, the Raikage stepped forward, his sharp gaze taking in Yugito's weakened state and the evident strain on Sakura and the others. His face darkened as he saw one of his prized Jinchūriki nearly broken. Sakura's words from before that she would never mod chakra again were fresh in his mind.

"Her Tailed Beast… gone?" His words were a low growl, eyes narrowing as he glanced over at Killer B and then back to Yugito. "They took the Nibi?"

Yugito managed a weak nod. "They're targeting all of us. They want more than the beasts—they're planning something… bigger."

The Raikage's jaw tightened, and he crossed his arms, the weight of the revelation sinking in, she was useless in this fight, "Fine. Let her go with you. In her state, she's of no use here." He turned his gaze on Sakura, steel in his voice. "You better see that she recovers."

Sakura held her ground, looking him straight in the eye. "She'll be safe with us. I'll make sure of it."

Temari glanced around at the dense forest encircling the island, she couldn't find Haru anywhere and assumed the spy had run off now that her mission was complete. "If the Akatsuki are still out there, we need to move quickly. Any delay, and we risk another ambush."

Killer B placed a hand on one of his many sword hilts, eyes scanning the treeline. "They won't catch us slippin' twice. Let's get her outta here while we still can. Karui, you and Omui go with them and keep an eye on Yugito."

With a final, grim nod from the Raikage, they wasted no time. Sakura kept her chakra flowing into Yugito, she had been using the Gates of Nature for hours, and the strain in her was building by the hour. Temari took the lead, keeping her eyes sharp for any threats.

They moved carefully through the island's dark, winding paths until they reached the shore. One at a time, Fu unfurled her wings, lifting each of them across the water. The journey was slow and methodical, her wings casting brief glimmers across the blue sea as she returned, again and again, to bring each of them safely to the mainland.

Once they regrouped, a silent, tense understanding passed among them: every step back to the Leaf Village was critical. All they could hope was that Naruto hadn't already encountered the Akatsuki alone.
