Over at the Ranch, the Guardians of Light saw two of their own take off to a train and were left to plan out their schedule. Daphne asked the Keyblade Master. "Since we got time before this place is finished. If there's any planning you need to get over with, now's a good time. Stock up, tell some folks that you're going somewhere. Maybe ask around and find anymore clues." Aqua took to that offer. "Me and my friends should talk this over at Mickey's. He'll keep this behind closed doors."
She lead on as Terra gave Daphne a nest ball with an A sticker. "While we're there, could you talk with this Charcadet about what's going to happen. I've already decided on which of these two I'm going to take in." Daphne took it with the intent on handing it over to Jumba. "He could be a help for figuring out how to accommodate a fire type. I know these two are brothers, but it's almost never a good idea to have the same pokemon on your team and you want to ease up on types unless you're wanting to be a specialist."
Leon joined in. "Charcadet's a special pokemon, there's two evolutions they can go through... but the material you need is hard to find. Talk with us if you're interested." The grown up had that in interest as Ven waved a request. "Tell Litzia I said thanks!" The Wayfinders were off and Daphne let out the adamant Charcadet, he had a moment to see the grown up take off with his brother, he looked lost without much of that purpose. The girl sat down and offered to play around with him. "Don't worry, someone will come around once they know."
Riku found that as his chance to hand over a beast ball, much to the astonishment of Leon. "Hey, in case this would speed it up, Poipole might like it around here." The youngster covered his mouth as Sora tapped his foot. "What's making you want to do that?" The older boy raised a hand. "Call me crazy, but an Ultra Beast, right now, would be too much for me to handle. We're also considering that a poison type would require dangerous material to be comfortable around here. So he and Grimer would be a start." Leon felt that was a wise reason. "Well, it's true that you're pretty early to have that. Even if Poipole is considered a starter, these people would also need to know as much about the Ultra Beasts as possible, because even the smaller ones can be extremely dangerous."
Which is why Daphne took the beast ball and brought out a note book. "Special." She drew the note. "Also, you have a Slowking as a starter, it's a powerful pokemon to have on your hands and it's sometimes best to make sure you can handle a stronger one like him before rushing to catch more." She raised a brow. "Speaking of which, you've captured an Oranguru too. They're pretty good at teaching others, whether human and pokemon, new skills they ought to know. Consider asking for help in teaching Slowking something handy. Because while Disable and Yawn are helpful, the other two moves are for beginners. Some evolved pokemon can have access to the stronger stuff once they're at that stage."
Riku considered that and brought out a Great Ball, letting out the Guru, who's been wanting to see the fruits of labor for quite a while. The Oranguru was amazed by the construction at work and turned to the three children, he fanned himself and grunted. (This will do, once it is finished.) He pointed to Riku. (You seek some tutoring for Slowking?)
The boy understood the intended words. "Yeah, he's going to need something for when we head out by tomorrow. Do you want to take this somewhere else?" The sage nodded. (Show me a place that is tranquil. It must not be disturbed.) The two were off and left a few short, Goofy remembered something the trainer kids should consider. "Say, that reminds me. Kairi, Xion and Azu went on a trip the other day and found a whole band that got ported over to the forest."
The Princess gasped. "Right, these five that Azu recognizes as Pokemon!" Leon raised a brow. "Really, where are they?" Kairi looked over to the forest. "Four of them are called the Mushroom Buddies. An Amoongus, Breloom, Parasect and Shinnotic. The fifth one is hidden close to Twilight Town, a Drampa." The youngster showed four fingers and readied dusk balls. "Well, if they're in the park, then they need to be secured before someone gets any ideas. They have access to one of the most potent of sleep moves you can ask for, spore. One huff of that and you would be out. That and Amoongus and Parasect can get pretty dangerous. Drampa would be fine as long as no one is bullying any of his friends."
Sora raised a brow. "None of us would have taken kindly to that, but why would he become a problem?" Leon laughed maliciously. "Tee hee! Read the Dex, it's very on point." He leaped over a built fence and left his sister behind. He sneaked into the woods to find a tranquil pond with four figures that have woken up to some noise, a Parasect was hiding under an open tree gap, an large Amoongus was barreling through shrubbery to get a look and Shinnotic and Breloom were trying to scout the trouble out of their creek. Leon brought out a tube of a particular candy and shook out those resembling a rainbow. "They'll be drawn to all the flavors!"
Fling!
He tossed the blocks over the pond and watched it fall to the grassy ground. Parasect crawled out and sniffed, he noticed the candies and approached in a droll. (Snack, snack! Mushroom wants snack!) The Amoongus turned to the noise and hopped. (Snacks? Has a mushroom grown?) Breloom turned to have a look. (Which kind?) The two realize those are candies they've never seen before, Leon hid in the shrubbery and hurried while Shinnotic turned to call to his friends. (Guys, don't! Someone's making something around here and I need quiet to figure it-) Fling! Leon sneaked behind and tossed the dusk ball up to hit the back of the mushroom, sending it falling to the ground and into his hand. Click! He tossed the next ball at the Breloom, who realized. (Hey wha-) Tap! Then to the Parasect. Tap! Leaving Amoongus to realize something was putting his buddies in balls.
Roll!
Leon got right behind the Amoongus and tossed the final dusk ball in point blank range. One after another, the balls clicked to signal a capture. The boy picked up his haul and smiled wide. "Not going to useless here! No way, no sir!" He hurried back and kept behind the fence with four balls. "It is done!" Daphne stood up to pick up the balls and smiled with him. "That was quick! You did it the sneaky way, did you?" Leon admitted. "I had bait and those guys were talking among themselves." He jumped over as Sora looked like he read a really blunt story and was perfectly fine with it. "What other surprises do these guys have?"
Leon wondered as Daphne headed over to a finished storage box and put in the pokemon that aren't to be on the field. "Shinnotic would drain out of people if given the chance, Amoongus has poisonous spores that can give you an itch and Parasect is bound to that Mushroom on his back. It's in complete control of the bug and decides everything." The four took a step back. "Complete control?" The boy nodded. "Yes, it's part of the Paras's life cycle. Parasitic mushrooms grow over time and hit the nervous system. If anything is a threat to the mushroom, Parasect will address that with full force. Just be happy that there isn't many pokemon that go through that."
Donald shivered. "Creepy." Daphne returned with her hands empty and a Charcadet that is pretty horrified about that fate. "But the knowledge on those mushrooms will help when it's time to clear out into the deeper woods. Eating the wrong mushroom can be... fatal to just about anyone who isn't made of literal toxins. It's better the Mushroom Buddies are helping us, then it is for a fight to go out right when we're about to make a base." She looked over to the vast wilderness going to a mountain. "Has anyone explored beyond there?"
Sora, Donald and Goofy gave a no, with the boy remembering. "That's only came when I woke up the other part of the world. This town wanted to be a home to a lot of people who have nowhere else to go, wonder what it has waiting for us?"
At a tranquil lake.
Riku showed Slowking and the Guru an underground pond that is hidden from most of the town. "Here it is, doesn't look like anyone has made home of this place right now." The Guru hmmed and walked to the water's edge, inviting the Slowking to sit by with him. The royal turned to Riku and invited him along to something. The boy crossed his arms. "What are you inviting me for, this is for you?" He remembered the type these two share. "A mind trip? Are you sure?"
The Guru laughed. (It is a privilege for those who share a bond with those of a powerful mind. If Slowking wishes to show you, then it is a sign that he has great faith in you.) He turned to the boy to admit. (You haven't just saved us from being stranded on an island, you've saved us from annihilation when you and your friends confronted the evil with in that tomb! You've even saved the lost one from a fate I would not wish upon my worst foe.) Slowking blushed. (And we've brought down that guy with some fast thinking. I want to keep repaying that favor and keep surprising him.) Riku looked away, feeling that Slowking said something that shouldn't have to be.
He took a deep breath. "Alright, you guys know more about what you're doing than I do most of the time." He sat next to Slowking and asked. "This is meditating 101? Is that right?" Oranguru nodded. (Just let the mind wander, no one with malicious intent, can reach this place.)
Riku and Slowking breathed in and exhaled. With the progress they've made and how everything is simply a matter of waiting, they have the time to relax and let the sound of flowing water drown out the remaining stress. A stage light appeared and Riku found himself watching a performance with the Oranguru, appearing with a microphone, was Slowking. Who was wondering what is happening and realize. "Say, if this is the potential I could learn, why is the reception so cold? Huh?"
The Oranguru wasn't amused as the Slowking had a cloth to wipe a sweat. "Sturdy crowd! Say, if people go to the beaches to cool off, why don't they go to the desert to get warm when it's winter? Because the soft served has all melted!" That was a chillingly bad joke and the spectators weren't even going to pity laugh. Slowking half dropped his eye lids and stepped off stage while the snow blew over. Oranguru advised. "The joke was only worthy of the cold shoulder, such a chill could bring about snow if it's enough."
Riku hmmed. "A Chilly Reception from the crowd? You'd better be out of there while you can. I heard that Slowking has regenerator, which would save time on healing him when something goes wrong. It can work over disable, if we can find a partner." 1, 2 and... tada! Slowking appeared before the two with a halo of snow. "Done! We'll find someone soon."
He rubbed the temples on his forehead and sat down while the boy promised. "We will find one, just not the ones from over here. I need to earn that right and try again, now that I get it."
Glimmer!
The Slowking shivered as a shine of light appeared, a proud, womanly voice echo'd from the light. "Or so you claim! How pray tell, can you understand the full splendor of the almighty Sun?" Flutter! A figure of many feathers appeared to eclipse the light, causing rays to stretch beyond the horizon. The question was a puzzling one, even for the expert. "You mean the light of day?" The figure twirled in fanatical grace. "Yes, yes! But it only becomes night for those who do not chase it! We tired in our chase of this sun, but it never tires!" She sang in praise. "Yet it always returns, to begin our chase anew! Oh ancient light, may it never truly leave us!" She stretched her wings far, resembling that of an angel as she laughed in blissful joy. "Let us be like you, great sun!"
The vision turned to that of a star and gave off a burst. Waking the three up from their trance, Slowking was spooked and shivered. (Alright, that's enough! I think I can use that.) Oranguru stood up as that mentor. (Can you? To foresee that which is to be?) Slowking tilt his head. (Just a strange peak into a future. I think, that angel was talking some sense with how the sun works.)
Riku rotated a finger. "I've heard it isn't that the sun moves and more that the world does the moving with us. Tomorrow doesn't change, but what happens could if we can figure it out." Oranguru agreed. (It is never set in stone, but what are we to change what should be if we have seen it?) The boy blew to the air. "Who says we need that kind of power to see it coming? The foresight of today, with what we've learned, can help us guess what is to come. All worrying about that would do, is make the outcome happen anyways. And future sight is the inevitable that we can set in motion." He bobbed his head. "Yeah, confusion's not needed anymore. They won't see that future until it is blasting them in the face."
The psychic types considered that great wisdom and Slowking felt more comfortable with himself. (I'm still a bit worried about that angel, that tone sounds like someone who is serious about testing us.) Riku spun a finger to his head. "But that conviction to the Light, or the one she believes in... it's beyond strong. Those kinds of hearts, will always catch you off guard and Light help you if you happen to be giving it a reason to be angry at you. Now, I'm a bit beat, so let's go watch those guys finish making that home."
At Twilight Town's train station.
Ken and Xion were taking their leave from the station, with Oshawott and Nymble on their shoulders, the two tried not to hold hands while planning out how they were to give a secret inspection. To their surprise, the Twilight Trio hurried over with a combined cheer. "Xion, Ken, guess what we got!" The four inspected Olette with a Hoppip on her head and adamant a doughy dog by her foot, Hayner with a beaten up Poliwag and the less than intimidating mastiff keeping to the front and trying to growl. Pence had his nervous Magby by him and showed off a dusk ball. Ken was wide mouth. "Wow that was fast! You all caught that first pokemon just a little after noon."
Hayner let go of a guilty feeling. "I know that sounds cool, but I tried to catch that lizard that was causing trouble and it didn't really work." Xion closed her left eye and puckered her lips at the sting. "Eek, sorry to hear that." Olette reported. "It's still a good start. I found Yeaster helping Lil' Chef make some bread. Least we know someone in this town would get along with them." Ken pressed his hands together in glee. "It's a given since Lil' Chef-" He looked around to make sure there was no one listening. "has a reason to keep his identity a secret. He knows what it's been like to be judged before getting to show what he can do to someone who gets it."
Pence let out the ghost dog that taken a scent to new friends and started dancing around, starting with the dogs that were caught up in a play fight. "Some of these pokemon are pretty friendly, we just need to keep them away from that neighborhood." Ken agreed with that and shook his head in concern. "Less that Scraggy ends up running into trouble he can't get out of."
He set up a log as Xion was distracted by the dogs playing. "So you found a Maschiff, a Fidough and a Greavard." The Greavard notice the girl and jumped to a leg, Xion backed up to a wall and sat down, playing with the ghost dog while Maschiff rested on a leg and Fidough waddled close to her shirt for a smell. Nymble laughed and jumped by the Fidough to make her chase him around. Xion whispered with a squeak in her voice. "Three of the cutest dogs around!" Ken was tempted to go play with them as well. "And they're perfect for what's about to be asked."
He cleared his throat and gain the trio's attention. "We talked it over and it's been decided that we need to get on out there to a world and catch every Pokemon that's there. The kids are making contact with some buddies that will help control the damage around here, at worst it will give us time to handle the far away problem."
Olette and the boys smiled in excitement and Hayner spoke out. "But?" Ken saw Oshawott jumping off to join in the fun with the dogs. "But, the worlds could be pretty big. Now that you guys have ways to defend yourself, we're thinking of you can come along with Xion and I on that adventure. Starting tomorrow. It will give us time to tell our folks and let our pokemon know that they'll be heading to a whole new place with us." He showed that gleam in his eyes. "What do you say?"
Hayner shrugged with a hand. "Let us in on that and-" he and the others jumped once their brains caught on with the request. "Wait, what?!" Olette covered her mouth in shock as Pence blurted out. "You're serious about that?" Ken nodded in a charm as Xion raised a fist and cheered. "We're finally going to take off together!" She was having difficulty breathing as the trio looked to each other to make a choice. Hayner cracked a wide smile as Olette blushed to face the keybearers, Pence crossed his arms breathed out humbly, the three answered as one. "We're going with you!"
Olette confessed heartily. "We're tired of just staying here while you all put yourselves in danger. The more of us with you, the better!" Ken stood firm like a soldier. "It is, but you're going to be in danger with us. Are you going to count on us to watch over you, like we're going to count on you to do the same?" The trio gave a hum of a yes, Hayner flexed an arm in pride. "Come on, you've been watching over us already. So it's about time we show what we can do. We're all kids here."
The word kid made Ken remember what he is, he grew teary eyed and went to play with Oshawott. The trio felt it was a good time than ever to try and know their pokemon more, bringing their business over to the park for some rough play.
Over at Mickey's Castle.
The Wayfinders were over at the Library, with the King having finished socialize the Tandemaus duo and some paper work. "So once that is finished, we'll be off in separate groups?"
Aqua watched Cyndy and Petilil play around in glee, listening to the plan. "With someone watching home and someone heading out, we won't have too many unwanted surprises for each time we make it back. Seems Goofy and Donald are okay with this, despite the gripes." Mickey was content with that. "They and Sora have always stuck around unless there's something splitting them apart. It feels like once they've connected the pieces together, they were planning to say it."
Ven and Virtu finished studying about the eleven known Ultra Beasts, the boy of the group guessed. "But it was nice that they had one more gig together. It isn't all bad." Aqua and Mickey agreed with that while Terra watched Teddiursa and the Cadet sit on a chair and kick around playfully, the grown up asked out of his mind. "While the rest of us gave gotten use to fighting with someone on the occasion. What's going to be our first stop when we're given the word?"
Aqua swallowed as Ven worked the phone and aimed a projector, showing the shiny Blacephalon and a town in the woods. Beyond a water tower with the name. Gravity Falls. "The world Bursty was dropped in, is one that isn't like most others. Gravity Falls already have some weird things going on in it and most of the people aren't any wiser. Except for this family and their closest friends. The Pine Twins and their Grunkle."
Aqua gave Terra a look of regret. "They've been the reason, Ken were able to find what they were looking for in the first place. The Twins are the mystery solvers and their Grunkle must be their guardian." Ven added in. "And Stan knows a lot more than he lets on." Mickey felt the idea had. "So they can help with the outbreak as well." Aqua raised raised a finger with high expectations. "Precisely, which means we can prepare our little helpers on the journey, until it's time for Ven to face Bursty and make it official. Daphne isn't joking about the Ultra Beasts being pretty tough, so that moment needs to count. However, this addresses another problem. Those Pokemon could be in danger from an entity that was discovered on that world." Her voice dropped to one of dread.
"Bill."
She had a flash back of a crawling mass of chaos, melded with daemonic flesh to make something of many eyes, splitting open to reveal a yellow triangle with a single eye, a top hat and bow tie. Giving a maniacal laugh.
"Hahahaha!"
She took a deep breath and shook out the image. "When me, Sora and Kairi tried to dive into Ken's dreams, that Triangle tried to trick into a deal and it was very close to working. We got to be very careful when we get frustrated there or he will find ways to make us desperate." She took in a great regret and aimed a hand to the Wayfinder with a history of dubious alliances. "Terra, it is with in our best interest if you don't come along with us."
The grown up felt his heart was hit by a high speeding truck as his partners gave a protest of (But Why?), Terra put a hand to his chest. "Come on, we're all onto him and his crud!" Aqua pressed her hands together. "Yes, we are and you've learned your lesson about trusting people. That's why Bill is going to try something else to deceive us all. Until you take your lesson to practice and expand your knowledge of the kinds of deception that exist, that world is off limits."
Ven groaned as the Keyblade Master promised calmly. "However, as soon as Ven and I are finished with that world, we can take on the rest of this mission together." The Lil' Bro slammed a fist to a table in defense of his Big Bro. "But what is he going to do while we're there? Teddiursa and Charcadet need to get stronger eventually." Mickey snapped his fingers to an idea. "Maybe he can bring that boy along for some of the other worlds. He and his sister know more about the Pokemon than we do."
Terra shook his head. "Uh uh. As soon as he steps into any of those worlds, he and his partners are just going to be targets." Ven corrected him. "They might be, but so are we." Aqua agreed with him there. "If his sister is a fighter, then he's one too." Mickey found that to be a fair judgment. "In the meanwhile, we'll also try and study on where the Regi's might be. There's something obvious that will lead us to them."
Aqua had her turn to shoot out the projection, that of braille. "There's a seal marked in this old language. Ken and his squad found that very marking, somewhere in Gravity Falls and we'll need time to look over there. Speaking of which, Daphne helped me confirmed something about this." She switched to a picture of the halo marking on the ground. One that Mickey recognizes. "Is that caused by a Pokemon as well?" Aqua turned the image off and went to the recommended Dex Entry. "According to Daphne, it's right at entry 493. Let me bring up-" Blip!
The picture revealed, a white equine with that halo in gold, around the waistline. The edges had green gem stones and the equine's face had green cheeks and red eyes to go with the green. Cyndy halted her rough play and looked to Aqua freezing up, Petilil bumped into her and chirped. (Hey, what's up?)
Cyndy pointed and hurried to leap on Aqua's leg, trying to get a read on the image with a name. Aqua pressed a button and saw an illustration of that equine, shining high in the heavens, with two dragons bellow him in a temple. One was bipedal and pink, with upward angelic wings and shoulders showing pearls, the other was a quadrupedal dragon resembling a dinosaur with a strange cranium, a metal chest with a diamond at the center and a metal looking fin at the back end. Beneath the equine was the image of a shadow of mighty wings. Aqua felt her heart making like a drum and she read an entry that made it more intense. She aimed a projection, as a way to show it, her brothers in arms saw the pale look and looked back with the expectation of something shocking. Jiminy scratched himself at the side of the head. "What's everyone's so quiet about." He looked to the illustration that made him step back and the text was read slowly. "Arceus: The Alpha Pokemon: Normal Type and a Mythical. A pokemon who've existed since before the birth of a Universe. Who shaped all of creation with a thousand arms."
He grew silent on this revelation, Cyndy looked up to Aqua and nudged her to get her to wake up as Terra noticed Teddiursa sitting still in awe. "Mickey, you've said that something with that halo helped you when the worlds were about to end. Was this it?" The King tried to look away. "Yeah, this is him! Is Arceus still trying to help us?" Aqua swallowed and turned off the projection. "I believe he is." She hurried to text and Ven noticed. "Are you sending this to the others?"
The Keyblade Master regained her sense of breath. "Only some advise! They need to know this." She insist to the King. "Your Majesty, we need to address this to Yen Sid as soon as possible!" His Majesty hurried to the door, the balance of the worlds might be at stake again if they ignore this calling. Teddiursa stood up, looked to the speechless Charcadet and turned around to Terra. "Ur?" The keybearer looked down to the two and readied a call back. "Yeah, I don't think you all need to hear what we're going to hear."
At Traverse's Project.
Wanda and Stalwing watched Sora and his company take off to the clock tower with the Sun Twins, likely to socialize and know a little more about each other. Solgaleo was dozing off to sleep, bored from all the waiting. "There's nothing more fulfilling than learning from that companion you've made through out that life." She petted her mighty Gryphon, who nudged with her in affection. "The lads are enroute to becoming fine grown ups one of these days."
At the sudden, a familiar, gray haired young man in a lab coat sprinted to the fence of a near completed Ranch and is seeing a variety of things. From Machop, Timbur and some Watchdogs bringing about a wooden pole, to Drillbur making a wider stream with his digging and Sylvia using a boxing glove to break down the final fallen tree with the aid of Tauros and Scizor. "Incredible! Just incredible!"
Wanda agreed with that. "A growing beauty, isn't it? Where forces from different realms come together to make some harmony that is needed." SPOING! At a sudden, the three watched Wander, Raichu, Sparky and some of Wanda's retinue get sent flying by a building springing up from machinations, a little in the dirt of the park was a house size laboratory. It closed it's roof and pulled itself together in finesse, Jumba was laughing at a success. "And little construction is needed!" The Chipmunk brothers marveled at the technological wonder. "A home to make on the road!" "We'd figured it would work if some of our friends have to travel again."
Jumba readied a data phone. "Now comes the fun part! The decorating!" Tap! Tap! Tap! At the sudden, Litzia and Elrena arrived in a hurry, the red head had a dusk ball in hand as her Clefairy waddled by her. Elrena however, was wearing the clingy Joltik that was quite content with herself. Litzia waved to the Mayor. "Ms. Wanda! Ms. Wanda! Look what we got!"
The General noticed the ball and the sign of satisfaction. "You caught a pokemon by now? How goes the outbreak over there?" Litzia raised a pinky. "Well, our volunteers don't have any buddies with them and because it's all busy and dark, the Pokemon have been tricky to pin point. I've been tracking down these flying meteors though." Wanda and Ienzo noticed a pink haired man with a white shirt, a black vest and red pants, along with a man with standing, spikey hair and ocean blue clothes. The more feminine gentleman had a gas mask while the other whined. "This was the only one we were able to get into a corner!"
Pop!
Out of the ball came a purple skunk with a face resembling someone's buttocks. He hissed and was spewing a poison gas in preparation before Joltik gave crackle of electricity and squinted her eyes in a glare to get him to behave. Elrena explained. "We caught Stinker making trouble by that tavern where the knight guy works. Took him setting up a honey trap for us to catch him surprise." Wanda was still pleased by the result. "I'm glad Siegmeyer lent you a hand. I think I have an route for y'all to take if you wish to be better prepared. We'll have people be aware of what to expect from these creatures, but over at Twilight Town there isn't that much luck from what I hear."
The gentleman asked in a muffled tone. "Mrmrmrmr!" He took it off when he listened to himself. "You wish for us to try our... plan, over there?" Wanda insist. "Bring more of your cohorts while you're at it, Lauriam. I think Medy can even ease up some tension in that wilderness if he knows a beat." The man in ocean blue looked around to find a lab of convenience. "If we can read up on the names, we'd be set!" Ienzo felt that could be arranged. "As soon as Jumba has a computer we can borrow, we'll have our notes."
Blip!
He had a text of something as Litzia wondered. "But what about the Pokemon around here?" Wanda felt that was a valid point. "We'll need someone who has an idea of what they're doing, leading the Twilight operation. That Lass needs to settle business back home and won't be around to hold our hands for long."
She clapped. "Strelitzia, you're specialized in the stellar magic that might attract a few fellows to your call. Talk this out with your friends for what I'm thinking into." Lauriam gasped. "No, absolutely-" Litzia raised a hand. "Consider it done!" Medy cringed. "You're thinking that, after we heard the news?" The red head pointed a finger. "This town is going to be real busy soon and it's going to stay that way for a while. I've heard the Guardians have a pokemon that would be a real help with some protection. If I can get the approval, then there won't be anything to worry about. Besides," she looked over to the confident Clefairy. "Pix and I have potential to take it even further! It will be a while before we got to split anyways."
Elrena pouted in defeat. "Okay, I guess I'll fetch the guys and see who gets to lead this." She asked the scientist that was completely frozen. "Ienzo, you mind being the-" She saw him staring at a phone. "hey lab guy!" She saw the blank expression as Medy was counting down. "Three, two... one." Ienzo snapped back to reality and taken a step back. "Ahk!" He put a hand to his chest and breathed normally. "S..sorry about that. Have a look at this and tell me what is familiar." He showed the group an illustration of an equine that Wanda at the least, recognized. Litzia's eyes lit up.
"Arceus!"
The name was sudden and her companions looked to her strangely, the red head blanked out. "Uh... that name came out." Ienzo presumed the woman was a fast reader as Wanda answered. "Why that's the very entity that aided us in the final battle against the Forces of Chaos! A lot of brave souls, counted on us to prevail and a mighty one arrived to deal with the worst of it, alongside the angels themselves!" The scientist remembered vividly. "And it looks like Arceus was bound to test us all with this. We better not fail." Wanda helped Ienzo to a bench. "We shall not fail! Our friends at the Committee are going to need to know of this too." She got on her Gryphon and took off. "Wait here! I'll be back shortly!"
Flap! Flap!
The gang watched the only sane woman around disappear and were in their thoughts. Medy cursed the luck. "Why are we going to sign up for a gig this big?" Elrena wasn't even in the mood to snap at him. "Just don't!" She felt exhausted thinking into it. "Just don't, we've been in for it the moment we saw those holes and went along with keeping them around." She noticed Jumba approaching, having an interest in the skunk that was completely unaware. "Just hold on and enjoy the ride."
The Scientist over heard. "And hope it don't crash. I see you've caught this Stinker as you say." The Skunk took a stand and hissed as Jumba used the phone to get a log. "Specimen number 434: Stunky! Looks like a foul one that has been spraying foulness upon the locals." He laughed at the critter that looked honored and crouched to offer a hand. "Come, come! You will be first to demonstrate potential for this facility!" The Stunky looked to the others with widen eyes, Ienzo used that as an excuse to look away from the log and saw the pokemon had two stages, Stunky and a bigger skunk known as Skuntank. "A poison type that is more of an animal than a mushroom or waste material, while being familiar to an animal we know about. That could help us understand the differences between the two." He gestured. "You won't be hurt here, but we'll need that knowledge." The Skunky had a smile and went to Jumba's legs, letting it be known that he'll follow along on his terms. The scientist didn't mind. "Close enough, you have that tempered spirit I've been seeing from you all."
Over at the top of the Clock Tower.
Daphne, Leon, Keahi and Pueo showed off the Alolan greeting to the Destiny Trio and the Kings Guard with a shine of a rainbow. The Alolan Champion explained. "And this is how we say hello over at Alola." She gave the gesture. "Alola!" The band of five and the Slowking gave that greeting. "Alola!" The Comfey around Sora's neck mimiced the wave near perfectly. Fey! Sora looked to his childhood friends. "Most of us are islanders too!"
Riku blushed and scratched the side of his head. "It took us until last week, to finally take it easy on those islands. It was getting a bit boring again." Azu gave that hand wave as Kairi counted one blessing. "At least the three of us won't be separated this time." Daphne asked in surprise. "This time?! What got you all to split up in the first place?"
Sora didn't wish to remember. "It's a long story, but it's how I met Goofy and Donald." The shield bearer chuckled. "We were following King Mickey's instructions and tried to find the Keybearer." The mage nodded proudly. "While trying to find the King." Blip! Kairi picked up a text from Aqua and read out loud. "You may want to go to the Pokedex and read about this."
She read the number out loud "493?" Daphne figured. "Aqua's was looking up some stuff we've looked into?" Leon gasped. "Arceus!" Kairi and Azu sat down to check the log and found the illustration of the Alpha, showing a near identical figure to someone she and Azu had met. She froze in place and stared at the revelation. Sora noticed. "Kairi, what does that log say?" The Princess wasn't responding, Leon tried to wave a hand to the screen to make her notice and felt a powerful force compelling him to keep back. Sora flinched checked his phone nervously. "Okay... how are we going to explain that?" His inner other compelled him to look up the log. "Something big is going on in her head and Namine's not wanting anyone to interfere. Good luck telling these kids." He found the entry of the mystical entity and couldn't find a place to project the image.
Leon knew that would have been a good way to show what the Alpha is and decided. "I think it's easier if I say it straight. Arceus is a very, very, very, very special pokemon. A pokemon that was said to have existed before the creation of the Universe. Who's made everything. Through him, he's brought about the embodiment of spirit itself. Azelf; the Being of Willpower. Uxie the Being of Knowledge. Mespirit; the being of Emotion. Along them were the three who governed the foundations of how the cosmos works. Dialga; the Ruler of Time. Palkai; the Ruler of Space. Giratina; the renegade who lords over Antimatter. Check those logs if you dare."
Riku dared and almost dropped the phone when he saw the image of a gray skin dragon with a centipede like frame, having a yellow rib cage, two yellow side horns to compliment a crown resembling a demons horns and a black slit across the belly of the body with red stripes. Complimented by a set of black, shadowy wings with red spikes. He pressed a button to see Giratina in a more serpentine body, having those wings turn into something like tentacles with a red spike on each end. He clicked to see an illustration of a horned, shadowy figure of the altered form, only having the red spikes and the red eyes as something visible and showing something of a smile. Leon closed his eyes and asked the boy who had a terror in his soul. "If I understand perfectly, you've looked up the dark one among the lot? May we please, focus on Arceus?"
Riku put the phone away in defeat. "You're saying Arceus is behind those guys, who are behind the foundations to everything... ever." Leon nodded. "Correct; Arceus has a unique power, to take on any known type. He is all and he is none." Daphne showed off the heal ball Chimery's in. "He's the pokemon that Chimery, a Silvally, was made after. With that same kind of ability, the RKS system. They even share a similar move, that matches the type they're using. For Silvally, it's Multi Attack. For Arceus; judgment!" Donald leaped. "Judgment?!" Goofy swallowed nervously. "Do we gotta say what we're hearing?" Sora blew out and explained. "We've been seeing that symbol over at the other land and everything! He was definitely doing something before we had the chance to know it. So why is Kairi acting like this?"
In the back corner of the mind.
Kairi was in a white room with decorative gray flowers, thinking deeply about that image long with Azu at her left. Folded in memory of the Alpha and the name that was given. Kasuer. Each letter was a symbol of the Unown. The Princess pointed at the name and pressed to the K, clicking her tongue. "K, C." The K transformed into a C as Azu squeaked out. "Casuer." She waved her hands to rearrange the name and change it to a name the Princess called.
"Arceus."
She covered her mouth and felt a hand at her right, Namine was keeping her sanity guarded. "He had his real name, right there the whole time. The tale he spoke of, connects to what we fought this morning. Take a deep breath." She breathed in, Kairi did so as her other counted down from five on the inhale and counted down to zero on the exhale. "He's been on our side before, there's something he wants us to know of and we have a way to discover it."
Kairi felt calm in her mind. "Yeah, I think I know what it might lead us to. We better not let him down." Azu jumped up in her excitement. "That's the guy who made that thing for us!" The Princess nodded. "Yeah. I don't know if those wormholes were planned or not. But I think that also means one possibility. If we find any pokemon that are more equipped than the others, we need to bring them to the town." Azu gasped. "That could be the Rescue Team that's been looking for us!" and started laughing. "They've been looking for us." Turning it into a sob. "Oh, thank you! Thank you!"
The ladies gave Azu an embrace and let her cry her heart out, Namine rubbed at the rabbits ear in affection. "There's nothing confirming that yet, but it will be easy to spot them." The three blinked back to reality, Namine was sitting with in and the Princess stood up to see Leon had finished a lesson and found Azu crying in hope. "Sora, Riku. Don't worry about that. That halo is no coincidence, but someone's been looking out for us for a while." Riku was over his moment of terror as Sora pointed to the stars. "Yeah and Shadey's gone with him for a reason!"
Riku explained to the Sun Twins. "Shadey's a complicated one. He came out of Sora and was meant to be a weapon against us until Xion and her brother, Dupmic, nurtured him into be our friend. He was last seen, as an egg."
The siblings and their partners felt their minds blown, Leon broke from that insanity and suggest. "So, until we are comfortable with connecting this together, we need to play along? This is pretty grand for our scopes." It's was unanimously voted upon and Daphne wanted to change the subject. "So, if you've traveled the worlds, then you all know about cooking right? You're going to have a lot of mouths to feed."
The Guardians shared a laugh to confirm that and Daphne had a recommendation. "In case you can't find too many ingredients, some rice, spices and imagination can help you make some killer curry. How about we head back to the ranch and practice that?" She nod. "Yeah?" Riku knew the girl was trying to change the subject, Daphne asked. "Yeah?"
Azu felt peckish and nodded, Leon voted. "Yeah!" Goofy gave his vote. "I could go for some of that." Donald gave up on resisting. "Sure." Kairi voted. "We could use that since we won't have access to a kitchen for a long while." That made perfect sense to Sora. "A campfire ought to do." Riku shrugged in defeat. "You're right about that."
At Twilight Town.
The five kids and their companions were having hearty, french onion soup as a way to celebrate the accomplishment. With fresh bread on the side to compliment the harmony. Nymble was full from his serving and gave the rest to Wooper, while the grass types were soaking in the sunlight for their energy. Ken and Oshawott were enjoying the tranquility that was longed for, Xion found the various critters a delight. "Tomorrow's going to be a fun day!" Hayner half agreed. "Now that we got the hang of catching something, we got to get the hang of battling with what we can get." Pence didn't mind. "Then maybe, we can learn to fight once we find that sync." Blip! Ken and Xion had a text from Aqua, about an entry for a number 493. Showing the image of Arceus, Ken froze with his cheeks full of soup as Xion nearly swallowed wrong and coughed.
Ken gave her a pat on the back to ease it up. "Woah! Some art!" He showed the three the image as Xion swallowed again and managed her breath. "That's the symbol we saw the other day!"
Volty turned in reaction as Ken saw the trio were connecting a mystery. "You guys remember that search we did the other day? Sora showed that symbol he found and he talked about a symbol Shadey turned into that looked exactly like this." Pence believed it. "This looks like the Light Incarnate!" Ken nodded. "Yeah, and he has a name. Arceus." Xion was putting a K away and placed a C somewhere before scrambling something with her fingers, Oshawott looked to the entry. (Arceus? What's he got to do about all this?) Ken read in silent and backed up from his chair, nearly falling and spilling his food. "Holy-" "Dudes, you better read this silently."
The trio did so and were halting as Xion recalled the fake name Kit used. "He's been laying those clues in plain sight for a week now!" Ken used his fingers to stretch his imagination. "Maybe bigger, since trees don't grow that big in that time." The trio got to the part that explains what Arceus is and Hayner jumped up. "Woah, woah, woah, woah! What did we just signed up for?"
Ken put a fist to his chest in a vow, not aware of a boy in an orange hoodie that was approaching from behind. "To defend the worlds and guide the lost to a place to call home. I think we have someone that backed us up with what we need."
"How the heck can you keep calm at something like that?"
The band turned to the boy with the familiar sounding voice, Ken and Xion gasped as the Twilight Trio waved to an old friend. Ken answered in determination. "Dupmic, Sis spoke to me about where one of her summon charms came from. This guy helped her make it and it helped her when she needed it, we gotten ourselves into something grand scale, one way or another. So even if we're not certain of what Arceus is up to, we know there's some serious consequences for ignoring it." He turned crestfallen from the morning. "Cyclizar had no idea where he is nor any clue as to how he's been making trouble. People getting scared of him did nothing to help." He felt his voice crack in the moment. "How many more are living like that? What kind of trouble is that going to make if it goes on for too long?"
Oshawott pet the boy on the elbow as Dupmic sighed and undid his hoodie, showing an appearance near identical to Riku. He sat by the long time friend. "Ding! Ding! You've got the right answer with those questions." He passed along intel to the three not in the know. "Arceus passed on an alias with a fake name that in hindsight was pretty obvious once we had the major clue. Once we knew about where the Seafarers came from, it became easier for us to connect with these pokemon and thus make it easier for Arceus's plan to set in motion."
Xion remembered from the meeting. "And apparently, a long time ago. Some pokemon tried to settle on the world, Arceus kept that door closed for a long time until something drew him back."
Ken imagined. "And I know why he did it in the first place. Some people did dangerous things with the blade and he didn't want anything to do with it, so now he's wanting to see if we've evolved since then." He breathed in a desire for another adventure. "Makes me want to set off sooner." Dupmic waved a hand and kept a firm voice. "Oh no, Mr. Public enemy to the Dark Forces" he point an order. "You're staying put until everyone says it's okay to take off."
Ken kept his eyes closed as Olette took the time to ask. "Dupmic, was this all you came out here for? We never even got a letter." The replica sighed had hard times. "Dream hopping isn't easy and Oswald sent me to this weird world in the subconscious that I'm free to do what ever I please in. The catch, is that I need to uncover it's secret and leave the world better than when I found it. I got to dig and finish building my shack to where it's just right." He nodded determined. "But with this, I got to be ready for worlds that are coming back on the radar." Ken and Xion knew one in particular, the adopted sister invited her brother. "So until then, do you want to hang out with us? We got enough together to get one more bowl." Dupmic felt quite peckish. "Yeah! I got time for that."
At a Mysterious Tower, overlooking a cloudy landscape.
An elderly, gray beard wizard in blue night pattern robes and a pointed hat, pressed his hands together as he observed the image the Wayfinders and Mickey provided. Everything needed to be known about Arceus. "So now, he's revealed his hand."
He stood up as Mickey asked. "Master, what does this mean?" The wizard headed to a window to look upon the lands, seeing a constellation that might resemble that halo. "He has been preparing us for this day. For when revelation is brought to the light."
Aqua sighed with guilt. "Of a mortal sin that our forefathers have committed against his kind and kept away from history?" Ven gave Aqua a defensive gaze. "Where did you think Nort got that Keyblade from? Where did it come from in the first place?" Yen Sid turned and waved his hand to ease the tension. "Enough. They are connected to something more foul. That keyblade, must not be allowed to be completed again."
Terra felt a chill. "But something that evil, always finds a way to come back. Arceus is helping us clean up our own mess." The wizard agreed to that. "It is shameful, for the child to correct the mistakes of the mother and father, but that is what it comes to. But, this is not a burden, you have to bare alone. Give aid to these creatures and they will give aid to you. If one of these pokemon have evolved by the aid of one of us already, then perhaps that will teach us more about their potential."
Riku and Slowking came to mind as Ven sent out Virtu to show case. "If I thought Virtu was strong, then apparently she gets even better when upgraded. She talks more clearly too." The Porygon2 spun around to analyze the room as Aqua thought more about Slowking. "And there is a Slowpoke that evolved into something beyond our surprise. We're still in the early afternoon, Master. Think we should ask about where that is going?"
Mickey didn't see why not. "It's better we focus on the task before us and learn to handle what's coming." Yen Sid smiled and nodded. "The time for war has passed days ago, now's a time for discovery." He aimed to the door. "Go, and learn through these eager hearts as they will learn from yours."
Later on to the late afternoon.
The Ranch at Twilight Town neared it's completion, the unbound wilderness was trimmed and rearranged. Most of the Ranch had trees with little huts, scattered about, with a cluster going to the far back, right by a frosty creek formed from a large deep pond that connected all across the reserve. Flowing from a river that spanned all the way to the wilderness. At the upper east was a rocky mound with a vast spanning set of burrows, to the west was self contained zone for the more volatile of pokemon types. The south had tiny trees and poles hooked to generators design to let loose wild electricity, the north had dens with charcoal placed with in, made to heat up the earth. Close by the lab was a garbage dump, meant to appease pokemon that embodies pollution. At the front were simple thick bushes going over to the trees and a garden of flowers. Wanda and the Sun Twins were quite impressed as Jumba gave an estimate. "For now it can fit in the life forms we have available and then some. I'll have to design some specifics for when we find them." He looked over to the garbage dump. "I question if it is sanitary to have the polluted biome this close, but it connects to the rest of the reserve with ease."
Leon looked over a fence that would block a small creature crawling through as Daphne had a peak through windows and a few door ways for easy authorized access. "If the likes of Grimer, Koffing, or Trubbish don't exist, it really wouldn't be a good idea. But since separating zones from each other would make things a lot worse, we just need to be extra careful so Grimer doesn't break out and slide across the plant life. We can always reinforce and rearrange when some of these pokemon evolve and get bigger. Especially Wailmer since Wailord is one of the largest of pokemon."
The girl raised her hands to the wider wilderness. "And worse case scenario, we got all this to use for later!" Wanda imagined hearty work. "The limit's to the imagination by the time we'll need it." Daphne agreed and watched the Bruxish gnawing on clams, while the Tauros was grazing in peace. A Spearow was perched on the back, keeping watch of a Yungoos that was teething at a root as the Guru kept close to a Purrlion that was licking herself. "And if any of these pokemon make a fuss with their neighbors, we can remind them that the bullying isn't going to fly over here." Jumba was feeling envious of the living conditions the pokemon are in for. "We will have to be concerned about that in due time little girl, but this already rivals most living stations across the sector."
Daphne snickered. "I'm counting on that." She turned to find Riku and Slowking finishing a chat with Terra and the Teddiursa. "I'll be honest, I only caught Slowpoke because he was the only one who wasn't trying to run from me or attack me. I mean, come on, we got out of a whole war in one piece. We only needed to make sure that this kind of thing gets built." Terra raised a brow. "But-" Riku huffed, feeling more like a jerk for the way he talked to Slowpoke. "But once Slowpoke got to showing himself, he put in the work. With some help from Comfey, he was even able to ensure that the Guru was beaten. Once Slowpoke evolved, he stopped acting like the kind of people we have to protect and he's fought an echo of a rogue keybearer to where he can be beaten." He looked to Donald and Goofy, who shown a similar story. "Once Slowking stopped acting like a slow wit, I wanted to try this gig more."
Kairi over heard and puffed her cheeks, leaving Azu and Crinoid to watch the pokemon enjoying themselves. "Hey, if you thought Slowpoke was just going to be useless. You wouldn't have tried at all." She thought about it. "If the Dex is correct, there are a lot of pokemon who start off pretty weak and some of them weaker than others. But hoo boy-" She cringed to a particular one. "you better watch out for when they evolve!"
She looked over to Sora, who was having Rowlet on his head, Comfey at the neck, Butterfree perching on the arm and Zigzagoon by the leg. "Just what kind of friends are we going to find tomorrow?" Terra's thinking about it and was distracted by Ven, who had the chance to study something and get confused.
The Wayfinder boy went over to Daphne and asked. "Hey, if this place is finished. Then I want to ask while I have the chance." The girl looked to the Porygon2 singing a tune. "It's about an evolution you found in the Porygon log? You know... evolving to that final stage isn't always a requirement for some pokemon."
Ven showed the Dex. "Now all pokemon need that to get stronger?" Daphne shook her head. "I know the pokemon you're looking at, my Uncle and my Big sister have the pokemon you're wondering about. Porygon-Z is an amazing fighter, but they're unpredictable due to the code scrambling everything. Few Porygons are willing to go through with becoming that and opted to stay as a Porygon2. If there's nothing wrong with the upgrade, why pile another that you wouldn't want?" She raised her eye lids in an idea. "Because Virtu can still evolve, she has a massive benefit over Porygon-Z."
Ven was glad he didn't have to evolve Virtu any further if she doesn't want it and saw she was pleased to hear that, Daphne held off on anything particular. "For now, I want you two to think about that. Play Virtu to her strengths and cover for her weaknesses. Once I get back, I might have a present for ya."
Ven considered that advise as Daphne headed to Sora, who looked content with his band of friends. "And as for you, not bad of a line up. I know this Zigzagoon as Extreme Speed, one of the best priority moves you can have." Sora guessed. "It's a move that helps him go way ahead of everyone else?"
Daphne raised her hand higher. "Ahead of most priority moves and it hits harder than the more common quick attack. You look like you're set for that adventure." Sora took the criticism and showed her the Komala's ball. "There's just one thing I got to do, can you make sure Komala's going to be alright around here?" Daphne took the ball and guessed. "You thought about that sync?"
Sora nodded and pointed to the Rowlet taking a nap. "There's already two sleepy heads here and I think the others can cover some places I'll need." The girl understood. "Komala's not going to mind that, in fact I think it might be better if he sticks around here. I'll be right back."
She headed over to the lab, to put the Komala in storage while Leon looked on at a long day's of work. Solgaleo walked by and growled in approval. (You and your sister did a lot of good today!) The boy pet him the closest leg. "I know, but this is only the beginning. Just make sure those monsters don't try anything funny, the sooner they stop being our problem, the sooner we can focus on this."
The lion grunted as Daphne came running out with a Poipole that was being a mischievous little scamp. "Ha! He got out by himself!" Jumba and Stitch had a moment to laugh to that, Daphne dodged the Poipole's tackle and redirected him to getting close to the blue alien that offered to take over. The sister called for a gathering of the Guardians. "Alright, everyone, it's time I gotta say this." With the band ready, the girl announced. "This looks like the most that's going to need me. So me, Solgaleo and the Champs are going to be taking off." She went for her bag. "Leon, do you got any plans for your stay here?"
The brother thought about it as Sora waved to offer. "One of us has a spare bag he can use. If he can't find a place-" Leon had a strange smile for the spikey haired boy. "All I have with me are my partners, a title that doesn't mean anything out here and money that from I could see by what you call it around here, is practically worthless. I can't even afford a room at a lousy motel!"
Kairi flinched and gave Sora a passive stare. "He's right you know, he's broke!" Sora realize what he actually said and cringed. "Eek!" Leon closed his eyes and took it as an apology. "Since you've offered, I hope you don't mind the extra room mate."
Daphne nodded humbly to Sora. "Thank you for watching over my brother! He's quite the house mate!" She smirked to her twin and gave him the Scarlet Book. "As for you, Leon, if you can pull this off, then Uncle Gladion might hire you to work at Aether!"
Leon eeked. "Daphne, you know I'm still too young for that!" He smiled back and took the book. "But I get what you mean. "Tell Mommy and Daddy that I got it from here! Blast those monsters out of Ultra Space and show them that The Sun, Moon and Stars aren't any simple lights to put out!"
The sister cheered that she will. "When I come back, I want to see some trainers who might give this Champ a challenge and a whole plethora of pokemon here that are ready to make a bright world!" The siblings hugged each other, gave a hand shake and gave the Alolan wave of fare well. The five in the know gave that wave in goodbye as the girl jumped onto the lion and had him make a sprint to the air, circling around like a shooting star. The legendary Sunne glowed, opened his third eye and blasted open an Ultra wormhole to sprint into, with the rider yelling out in glee. PEW!
With her gone, Wanda took the chance to assume control and blew a whistle to the townsfolk. "Alright, break it up. This doesn't change anything about our duty." The towns folk went back to their routine and volunteers took the chance to marvel at their hard work, Leon asked the Guardians. "So, while we still have an afternoon, anything we need to prepare for before tomorrow?"
Aqua shook her head. "Just make the most of it, we'll explain once it's time for us to meet up back here. Some worlds might take longer to scout out than others." Ken agreed with his mentor. "Miss is right, Kairi, Sora and their band took a few days out in sea to get this one thing done. While Me, Xion and Dupmic almost took a whole week! Spend some time with your buddies and be packed up. Because you don't know what world you'll end up at when you're guided along."
That wasn't something the teenagers minded as Aqua finished. "You'll be in for the best part once you see it. Alright everyone, dismissed!" Kairi, Ken and Xion stood firm in a warriors salute while the rest laughed it off in the merry, star lit town.
