Ken and his squad finished reporting the six super heroes out of uniform, about what was going on with the Corrupter. The six had feelings of mixed horror, although Honey Lemon in particular was covering her mouth in shock and repeated what was said. "That thing was trying to turn that bull into a Shadow Pokemon?!" Ken nodded, looking away, uncertain for how to describe it. "By locking their hearts from their psyche and driving the rest into a frenzy."

Hiro saw how Ken wasn't even wanting to explain those details, pressed his fingers together in thought. "So it's like hacking someone and reprogramming them towards more violence?" Ken closed his eyes, thought about those words and bobbed his head. "Sounds about right. It's like having your body hi jacked by something or someone and having to fight back against that. Knowing that the thing attacking your friends isn't you anymore."

Gogo helped Honey Lemon to a seat and had more and more of a scowl. "What kind of sicko would even think of doing that?" Hayner cringed as Xion blew to the air, not sure where to begin. "A few and one of them is still out there, trying to get that kind of power. We still don't know what's causing those things to show up or who'd be causing it."

Ken marked one villain out of the equation. "This witch we know, would try something like that, but this kind of magnitude isn't her style. We're in the dark as to who or what is causing those totems, the only thing we do know is that those things are a eliminate on sight kind of threat." He opened his eyes and worried about a more present issue. "But since that thing is gone for now, we have another issue. How many crooks, that would still try to go after these pokemon, are out there in the city?"

Pence answered with a question. "A lot?" Gogo answered bluntly. "A lot. So how are we going to get started?" Hiro looked to Baymax and had an idea. "Ken, Xion, you had a log downloaded that can help us learn about these guys?"

The girl brought out her phone and placed it on the table. "I know where this is going, you're going to download that into Baymax and make him into a walking, talking, Pokedex?" Hiro nodded. "That's the plan! I'll get to work downloading that after school. In the mean while, welcome back guys!"

Out of nowhere, he gave Ken and embrace that had a lot more pressure than one would expect from a teenage boy and squeezed the air out of the squad leaders lungs. "Erk!"

Hiro let go as Ken checked his joints to make sure there was nothing seriously bent. Pence noticed the black under shirt hidden in the sleeves of the jacket and asked. "So, what's the get up? Some kind of battle suit?"

Hiro realize he never explained that. "Right." and took off his jacket and shirt as a way to show off a skin tight black cloth that look like a synthetic device. "I just made it this morning. This nano dex can contract my movements," He flexed and gave a dorky smile. "Giving me super strength!"

The young teenagers were fascinated and Ken stretched to get the pressure off. "That explains the things I've seen. What's the reason for making that?" Hiro sighed at the tone. "Come on, most of us have powers and all I do is give people ideas!"

Olette felt the feeling mutual and raised a finger. "Correction, you all have gear that work like super powers. But there's nothing wrong with an upgrade. We're still trying to work on that." She turned to the Emboar and Vikavolt that were terrified of the knowledge and were even more determined to protect what ever innocents they could find. "Alright, we're starting good but we've only got started. Will you let us know if we have another emergency that's going to happen?"

Vikavolt grunted and looked over to Fred to give a hiss. (Be careful around Gyarados. He's pretty strong compared to most pokemon.) The comic nerd definitely had something in mind as Emboar readied push the door up. He gave an point to the visiting squad and the Dewott. (Hey, there's another thing we need to check soon. I don't think those strangers are what they are pretending to be.)

Ken thought about it and felt most of the fight to be a blur. "I'm thinking we got another lead from what I seen. Why would a martial artist wear a trench coat and those hats? What would they have to gain from showing up out of nowhere?" Hayner asked the super heroes. "You know anyone like that?" Wasabi shrugged. "Not that I know of." Fred gasped. "Maybe they've showed up since yesterday!" He cheered once more and reached a level of annoyance. "Making their own disguises to hide who they really are."

Ken gasped and snapped his fingers. "That short one said the word, hit and everything else didn't come out right." Baymax finished deciphering something. "And what they've communicated with, wasn't like any language."

The one armed boy checked the Dex and started with a description. "Big hands" Blip! He gasped at the image of a wide, cream colored, humanoid who's head triangular and have bushy dark blue eyebrows that connected to a pony tail. His head had wide open ears and his eyes were white with small black pupils. "Hariyama?! A sumo wrestler." He took the door and made himself come off as a teenager playing with a phone. "He and those three were checking neighborhood for a reason."

Hayner gasped to a forming plan. "And if they are what you think they are. Then they might be looking for a place to crash and stay." Ken nodded. "According to the log, Hariyama would occasional train up Makuhita... their previous stage, as part of a life cycle."

He showed a yellow creature resembling a humanoid punching bag with black fists and a pattern resembling a black bib. Xion recalled how the others fight. "But that guy's friends don't look like they fight like one of those." She gasped. "Could they be looking for a dojo?"

Olette felt a stronger idea. "Maybe we can help them find a place and make that into a base." Ken felt that was a valuable idea and explained to the super heroes. "A week ago, Bryn turned into a trailer that me, Xion and Dupmic used as a base. I think she can turn into a couple of apartments if we find an abandoned building. If we've found more pokemon, then we got plenty more to gain. BUT-" He crossed his arms to something that isn't allowed. "If those coat guys are a bunch of fighting types, then it's going to be a horrible idea to pick a fight with them right as soon as we find them. Gyarados was one thing, it was three of you against a giant. But three trainees going against you three would mean-" Hayner sighed at that. "That us and our partners are having to go mono and mono? It's a bad idea unless we can even those odds. But we can keep them close to one place so no one gets any ideas."

The two boys tapped their craniums as Hiro felt the idea was thought up enough. "Just be careful about turning that ship into a magical apartment. That can get you into some major trouble if the city finds out."

Ken squinted his eyes and had a mischievous smile as Xion assured the group innocently. "Don't worry, we don't even live in this city! No one's going to notice a thing!" Gogo huffed and warned the teenagers. "Just don't get arrested, we can't bail you out of this one."

The guardians heeded that as Emboar pushed the door up and let Vikavolt out, the fiery pig promised. (I might know what would make a good dojo! Let's get back to that scene and see if we can follow a track.) The beetle grunted and readied to fly up. (While you take care of that, I'll check the sky and see if there's fliers up there.) Zip! He took off as the two groups parted ways.

At an abandoned building in the neighborhood.

The short man in the trench coat had a look in the inside of what use to be a humble housing before someone had to move out. The front lock was firmly shut and there wasn't a way to get in without making a scene. He hurried to the back alley, to meet with his fellows. He gave a respectful bow to the wider trench coat and pressed a brown fist to a visible one. "This Den could work as a new dojo, Sensei. But the front door is locked up. We need to hurry, because I think Emboar saw right through our disguises."

The large one hmmed with a voice relatively young, if deep. "It's better if he were to find us under a roof, then out in the road, Top!" He lead to the back door with his others. "Lee, Chan, we need to figure this out." A trench coat with a set of boxing gloves was a bit nervous on the limit they have and hurried to a door that seen better years. "We'll be in there shortly!" The other, coat, who's hat is nearly to the neck of the clothes, crossed his arms in a complaint. "These disguises aren't fooling anyone." The short neck, Lee tried to open the door and found that locked.

He went for the back up plan and punched through the knob, making it open loose, Chan tapped his boxing gloves. "I could have done that, you know." Lee agreed with that. "But those fists would have made more noise, you are the stronger puncher, after all."

The three went in while Sensei followed side ways as a way to fit in. To their fortune, the complex was mostly empty, with a set of stairs going up. Sensei looked to the narrow windows and is more concerned. "We can hide in here for now." He put his hat away as Lee helped him get his coat off, the Sensei thanked his pupil as his form was revealed. A Hariyama.

Lee went to Chan and Top before giving a fast rapid spin, removing their disguise and revealing their true identity. Lee is a mouthless humanoid that is mostly an ovoid body. With no neck to speak of and black eye holes with white sclera and black pupils. His muscular arms went to similar looking bracers and his legs were cream colored, resembling a spring to go with clawed feet. Chan is a brown skin boxer with brown shoulder pads, a purple dress and purple shoes. His head was a five pointed crest and his had blue eyes to go with the white sclera. Top was upside down and flipped, showing himself as a light brown humanoid creature with a spike at the top of a head and growths that made his head look like a top.

He had black eyes with cartoonishly white pupils, a spiked tail to go with his show like feet and his body looked to have something of a skin tight vest. Top cheered. "Finally!" He looked around a place that could use improvements. "So, what do we do now?" Chan looked to the Sensei and felt a concern. "Someone's going to figure out that this place is being run again."

Hitmonlee agreed with that and found a light switch to flick upward, nothing was happening and the Sensei realize the place might have been cut off from a lot of essentials for a band of four to survive on. "Hmm. This is still going to be a problem." He imagined Chan trying to use the disguise to get through to a store, due to being the only one of the four to actually look normal in those. The imagination reached a turn with someone at a grocery store, noticing the boxing gloves, taking the coat off and revealing a Hitmonchan, many pointed at the oddity like it was sudden and dramatic. The Sensei cringed in thought. "We can't survive like this for that long." Hitmontop noticed his senior lost in thought and worried. "Sensei?" Click! Creek!

On the other side of the front door.

Xion quickly unlocked the door with the power of the Keyblade and lead the way in with her and Wooper, due to a defensive advantage poison types have over fighting moves. They entered slowly as Ken and Dewott followed, having a look around at the nearly vacant room. Then come the Twilight Town Trio and Emboar.

They spotted the strange Hitmontop that turned to face the visitors, he readied for a fight and took a step left and right in something of a battle dance. Turning around with their brother, was a Hitmonchan that realized someone arrived and raised his fists up, leaning left and right while on the defense. Along with a Hitmonlee that raised a knee up and kept a one foot battle pose, warning the visitors to heed their next move. Ken signaled the crew and raised his hands up with Dewott. A sigh they don't mean harm. "We're not here to fight. At least not in the way you're worried about. We'd just picked up the clues that you all weren't what you seem."

At that, the fourth body was out of his moment of zen and turned. "Hari?" Hayner could tell right away. "And the Hariyama that helped Ken and Xion with that brawl." He gave a nod to the four. "Thanks for that, by the way."

Emboar approached with his hands raised. (Sorry for breaking in, we caught your trail after that attack. Those things are a lot more grim than you know.) The pupils were surprised as Hariyama crossed his hands. (I know it is pure evil and if it was allowed to spread, it would threaten us all.) He laughed heartily. (If we knew more, it would only strengthen our resolve to set things right.)

Dewott waved his hands. (Hey, appreciate the courage, but that would have made things worse if it found a way to get those locks into your hearts.) Xion pointed her thumb out the door. "I've heard this city has some pretty dangerous crooks that would try to come after you if they had the chance. So it's best that we find you before they did."

Hayner agreed with that and readied three balls. "Yeah, so let's get this over with." Olette and Pence readied theirs as the lead boy explained. "We're trying to capture every pokemon we can find, but it's pretty early for us right now." Fling! Pop!

Out came the rag tag band of a Skiploom, Fidough, Shroodle, Poliwag, Pawmi, Maschiff, Magby, Greavard and Silicobra. Three of them looked recently caught and the rest don't even look like they have much experience. Only the Poliwag, Pawmi and Fidough were focused on a potential battle.

Hariyama looked down at the tadpole and the marmot in particular, he closed his eyes, had a deep breath and shook his head. (You'd only get them hurt if they do battle with my pupils right now.) That was something the Hitmons were agreeing with, Chan pressed a fist to his chest and pointed to Hariyama. (And you can forget about challenging Sensei if you can't handle the three of us at once.) The three focused pokemon felt a wave of disappointment as the rest only noticed what was going on.

Poliwag bubbled out in defeat and sat down in shame as Olette shrugged. "Figured we'd get rejected before we'd had the chance to embarrass ourselves. But what are we going to do, so nothing happens to these guys?"

Ken pressed a few buttons on his phone and raised it up. "Don't worry, I think we'll still be good." In a sudden, the building shined in light into something with a smooth texture of blocks. The shabby room reconfigured into a light brown dojo with simple mats. The group had a combined reaction of shock as Ken stepped to the center, turned with grace and raised his arms wide. "Tada! Brynified! Until we're ready to leave, she's going to be using this form as a way to give us what we need. It shouldn't look different from the outside and there's just enough material that we can make the rooms how we want." He turned to his squad. "We'll still need to head upstairs if we're to arrange things."

The wild fighting types were overwhelmed by the more lively building as Ken put his cybernetic hand to his hip. "What do you all say, good idea?" Emboar had no concept about how trespassing works and gave a thumbs up before heading to take a seat. (We can use a good break after all that.)

Pence could tell that Emboar was looking to take a rest and had ill news to give. "That's great for you, but we got to get this done as soon as possible, so we can get back to searching out there." Olette agreed with that. "Just so we can keep toughening ourselves up while we wait for our friends to get the time they need." Ken pressed a button to relay a message. "True, but we got a base now. So let's make this place ours.

Half an hour later.

Emboar and the fighting types enjoyed a comfortable room bellow, that had a few couches, a kitchen and a collection of mats. Up the stairs the squadron were up in the main quarters that was split to a few rooms of use, two for washing, two distinct bedrooms, one for the girls and one for the boys, the main room had a couch and a few chairs, while having a ladder way leading to somewhere higher and having a distinct color of purple. If because it's a color Ken holds in high regards, the boy gave a final inspect and was ready to turn of the furniture system. "And done!" He turned and stretched. "We're good to go as long as we don't order in. What Gogo said might be a big deal."

Hayner groaned and leaned on a chair while using a foot stool. "I figured, we don't really own this place." Pence was relaxing from the busy day. "This place is more like a hideout." Ken pressed his hands together and went to sit down with Dewott, while Xion and Olette had Bryn set up a cable net work and provide a limited amount of channels. "Y'up. So, we got a few hours until they're done with school. What are we going to do while getting these guys trained to face the Hitmons bellow?"

He looked to the misfits resting around as Olette raised her hand. "That's easy, get to catching anything else that's close by. This corner of the city should be pretty easy now that you and Xion got rid of that Heartless." Ken went over to the t.v screen and had the smile of a mentor. "Correct. I think I spotted a few that were running for their lives. They're probably hiding somewhere else by now, so it's going to be a pretty good time to get to searching once they get the chance to calm down."

He had conjured up Nightsky and Bryn set up a map of the neighborhood for directions. He used the Cafe as a central point. "Around here should be something for a pokemon to hide in, where we have to deal with small time punks at best." Hayner added in. "And killer robots at worse."

Ken pointed at a safe assumption. "I'm thinking if we split into two groups. With you and Pence coming with me while Xion goes with Olette." He looked over to Xion, who was about to take a nap, even though she was listening. "While we toughen up our partners, we'll have someone right there in case some heartless show up."

Olette watched Xion falling asleep and giggled. "Pretty good idea, captain." Ken had a smug smile. "Thank you." The Dewott leaned his back on the couch and relaxed to a well laid out plan, listening to his trainer continuing sparked some pride. Ken coughed and gave a light tap, showing a timer of thirty minutes that began counting down. "Since Xion's phone is being used to help Bayamax, I'd say we take off in half an hour and spend time getting familiar with the town. After that, we're on our own." The map turned off and Ken went to play a bit with Dewott, Hayner and his buddies were in thought, looked to the Tinkatink that was laying out pieces of metal for a plan, then looked to the stairs. An idea gestated as Ken yawned and begun resting for a nap.

At the end of the break time.

The band split off into two different squads and took off to different parts of the zone. As of choice, Xion and Olette kept close by the neighborhood and disguised the search as a stroll together. The brown haired girl had Fidough on a leash and was surprised by how quick the dog was to behaving, if because she's distracted by all the smells. "Our squad leader knows how to improvise. I kind of wish he catches a pokemon while he's out here. He's going to be behind."

Xion half agreed as she saw a conjunction going into the city proper and of a route she was more familiar with. "He can be picky, even if his two are already pretty strong."

Fidough caught something in her sense and sprinted to a split heading off to the more olden parts of the town, finding a green sludge pile that made her nose curl. She tapped her paws and barked to where a city dump was located. The girls followed the off pattern road and were brought to a closer inspection, there was a wired fence that was chewed through by something quite small. Something with a hint of acidic properties. Olette imagined from what she seen. "Shoot, looks like a couple of poison types are on the loose."

Xion gasped to an idea and turned to face the fence. "Call Fidough back, I think we can sneak in without anyone noticing!" Olette did so asked confused. "What are you about to-" Xion patted her shoulder and gave a slight crouch. "Get on my back and I'll jump us over!" Olette wasn't going to ask and did as instructed, holding on while Xion stood firmly, the black haired girl made a great leap and landed on the other side, a rather mundane feat by the present times. Olette was impressed and got off. "Someone's been hitting the gym!"

The ladies had a look around the dump of trash, landfills and machinery that need to be broken down and recycled. The ladies heard rummaging by a trash heap and kept a slow approach, Olette spotted a garbage bag that was moving and digging. It was a Trubbish, picking the most rancid of refuse to dine upon and grumbling happily at his findings. The girl took a great ball and tossed it to the back of the trash bag, causing a gleam of astonishment before the ball back flipped and gave a click. Xion gave her partner a thumbs up and noticed the green sludge going off towards a pile of used plastic, finding a green Grimer with oily yellow lips and what looked to be wide bucked teeth. It was happily munching on the trash. Xion took it as the initiative and used a humble pokeball for a fast back attack capture.

Click.

The ladies picked up their captures and Olette recalled a convenience both pokemon could provide. "If we're going to be using that apartment for a while, then having Trubbish and this Alolan Grimer around could come in handy."

Xion recalled a short lesson. "If I remember, that one is a bit different from the one Riku caught. We didn't even smell the foot prints and most of the toxins are in those teeth they have. That's less trips to a dumpster that we got to do."

Olette nodded and heard a scream close by, she and Xion sneaked around to a garbage truck and found a worker being forced into hiding by crackling, angry poke ball. The black hair girl gasped. "A Voltorb?!" The orb turned to show dirt on his face and had angry looking eyes, explaining why it's in a bad temper. The black haired girl took a nest ball and sent out Volty, who gave a cheerful bounce that surprised his counter part. He gave a bounce of an accepted challenge and had a fast sparkle of a charge beam to fire. Volty took it quite well and Xion ordered. "Counter with energy ball and fire the leech seed!"

Volty glowed in floral power and blasted is counter part to where it rolled back and fired an eerie impulse that brought a shiver. Volty fired a fast leech seed that snared the orb and sapped some health away. Xion stuck her tongue out and tossed a pokeball for an affected capture.

Leaving a garbage man that was under his truck and was realizing the noise stopped. The girl took the chance to take the ball and signal that her band flee to a heap of disposed machines. Leaving the worker to his confusion and conclude he must have ran into a live battery. At the next heap, Olette huffed out. "That's three in one trip. Not bad."

Xion nodded and looked around to find many metals. "You did most of the catching and we wouldn't have came here if Fidough didn't lead us here." She saw potential scraps and sent out Tinker, who wasn't put off by the smell and saw seeing herself in a dragon's horde. She leaped and squeaked while looking for various machines. Xion suggest. "Before we go, we should check around and see if there's anything for Tinker to use for that big hammer project." Olette considered it as the Tinkatink pulled out a toaster. "And in case we find any extra pokemon that don't mind this kind of place."

SMASH!

Tinker saw the toaster was a bunch of parts and slammed it to the ground before using her rattle to bash it to pieces. Xion flinched and put a hand over Tinker's head. "Hey, hey! Pick what can work with your hammer, don't just smash apart junk!"

Tinker had that in mind, saw the toaster wasn't sturdy in the slightest and pushed the bits aside, she noticed the remains of robotic parts and went to try those out, she found a particularly long pole that could go nicely. Along with a inter connecting joint that just needs to be heated into a wedge. (These will do!) She jumped and asked. (Let's find some bendy plates that won't break and I'll just need to grow!)

Xion and Olette know the question has a lot to do with adjustments for the head of a hammer and readied to go exploring, the brown haired girl caught something shining in her eye, something with knife like talons that is going for Tinker's hammer. "Incoming!" She made a reckless dive to get Tinker out of the way and dodged a swoop from a large, metal crane. Having a head with a knife like spike at the cranium, wings that were sheaths for red sword like feathers, the tail was look a hook blade and the fanged beak made the bird look akin to a sleek knight. The bird turned and gave a flap, cawing in frustration. "Skar!" (You pushed shiny out of the way!)

Volty hopped before the bird as Olette got up and gasped. "That's a Skar...skar-" She tapped the side of the cranium as Xion remembered. "A Skarmory!" The Skarmory looked ready to fly off as Xion ordered fast. "Volty, stopped that Skarmory with a thunder wave and give a volt switch!" The Voltorb rolled fast and flung himself at the bird, giving a shock wave that caused the bird to land stuff. A volt switch shocked it into a screech and Volty switched places with an irritated Tinkatink. The Skarmory turned fast and gave a great leap, clawing Tinker forward with a metal claw, the toddler growled as Xion ordered. "Give it a rock smash and let him have the ice hammer!"

Tinker gave a smash of a blow that caused a crack in the defense, Skarmory struggled to move and was knocked a ways by the ice hammer. The bird gave a jump and pressed his body against the toddler, crushing her under the defenses.

SMACK!

Tinker's rattle gave an icy hue and she smacked it away, letting Olette sneak around with a poke ball and give a toss to the back, Skarmory cawed and was dragged in.

Bop! Bop! Bop! Shake...shake...shake... click!

The girls and the Voltorb phewed at the captured foe and Xion looked above. "How long was that bird watching us? What was it trying to do?" Olette picked up the ball and observed with her. "I'm thinking that bird was interested in that hammer Tinker has made. It is said that steel types love to get their hands on metals, for a list of reasons." She noticed a cluster of barbed wires above pointed. "And we walked right under the nest! Check that out!"

Xion was on it and focused on the steel beams, flowing to each one and having enough of a view to find a nest that was filled with various metals, shiny, sharp or otherwise. In the nest was the sheds of Skarmoy wings. The black haired girl used air magic to glide over and obtain the three wings before diving down.

Olette and Tinker felt their eyes gleam at the blades, the human girl woahed. "There really was a nest up there?" Xion landed carefully and is impressed by the sharp look to the wings. "Filled with a lot of metals and sharp stuff. It won't be needing that thing anymore, but I think we can use these wings for something." Olette imagined. "I'll bet we can turn these into swords or something!" She looked around and found a car that was recently disposed off. "Let's try and pry some more metals from this junk and get back to the base." Tinker was lost in the thought of the word swords and waddled over to the car, she started prying while Xion lend some muscle.

Over at a sketchy neighborhood.

Ken and the boys saw they were in unfamiliar territory and the one armed boy was using his phone to map a layout. "Alright, this is the other side of the town and it's not as nice looking." He looked around to find graffiti, board windows and a hoodlum that might have been stalking him and his squad, he saw Dewott looking the punk in the eyes and use a scallop as a way to warn the would be mugger to back off. "Yeah, I think it's a good time to keep an eye out."

Pence and Hayner felt the surroundings a bit more than places they've been, the boy in the dog t-shirt asked. "Now, who would be wanting to hide out here?" Hayner had a list as Maschiff and Greavard were sniffing around. "Oh the usual; punks, trash, broken dreams. You have to be rough to last out here while staying good and honest in the heart."

Ken noticed a rather large, muscular man in a red bandanna, over hearing the last part and taking it in stride before driving off in a pink motorcycle. "Which is quite true." Maschiff and Greavard smelled something of paw prints and gave a bark, bringing the boys to an alley way. A band of punks were making a run for it.

"Those ain't any bots!" "Book it!"

Leaping out of the alley is a gray humanoid with a red head cap, red limbs and a sharp blade at its forehead, a rib cage of blades and knives for hands. Giving a stomp and pointing a knife at them. (This is our lot scrubs!) Various sharp hissing and a bark was heard, agreeing with a creature that Ken looked up. "Oh boy, a Pawniard!" The Pawniard saw the boys approaching and hurried into the alley way, the lot gave chase and found seven more Pawniards getting ready for a counter ambush, looking towards them in confusion and turning to face the boys, was a blue fur, humanoid pup a set of black feelers bellow pointed ears. It had metal bump like growths and the wrists, red eyes and what looked to be black fur pattern around the eyes, resembling a blind fold. Ken looked that one up. "And a Riolu!"

Maschiff tilt his head left and right at the fighting type and gave a woof. (What you doing over here?) Riolu crossed arms and gave a feminine grunt. (Been trying to keep an eye on this Pawniard gang until they can find their boss. What are you doing here and why do these humans know our names?) Greavard barked jolly. (Humans friends! Humans friends!)

The lead Pawniard squinted his eyes in doubt as Dewott approached with his eyes closed. (Something like that, we're here to get you all out of this mess before someone with bad intent, human or other wise, noses around here.) Dewott opened his eyes and saw the Pawniard having doubts as Riolu's feelers lifted up, she smiled and nodded. (You feel truthful.) She turned to the sharp blades. (He means it, but there's a catch before we go with them.)

A Pawniard smaller than the rest scurried out of hiding and asked. (What's ya talking about?) Dewott looked over to Ken and practice a throw, the one armed boy understood what was meant and he showed a ball. "We're going to have to capture you in these and sometime tells me you're not going to come along unless we show you our hideout. Since Bryn isn't going to move out of place, we'll have to bring you there. That makes a problem in itself." He signaled the boys to be ready. "Pawniards are part steel, so be ready in half a minute."

Pence and Hayner called their partners back in preparation as Riolu perked in glee and is feeling her heart race, she stepped back timidly and realize. (You have every plan on bringing us for more?)

The small Pawniard eeped and hid behind a garbage bin as the lead Pawniard gasped. (Maybe they can help us find the Bisharps and the Big Boss?! But are they worthy of that?)

He looked to his gang as Hayner is realizing. "Oh boy, they're up to something!" Ken had a gleam to his eyes and had a nagging urge, he signaled to the hot blooded one, spun a finger and mimic a toss. Riolu picked up on a feeling as Hayner sent out Amphib. "Come on, let's catch this Riolu first! You guys keep an eye on the Pawniards!"

Ken and Dewott approached gladly as Pence brought out Heater, getting in the way as Riolu looked a bit sheepish before the fast Poliwag and braced herself. The boy ordered. "Let's start with water gun and mud shot!"

The Poliwag fired a fast water gun that sent Riolu back, she gave a howl and followed with a fast bullet punch, sending the tadpole in a spin, Amphib fired a glob of mud for a counter attack and his partner followed. "Hypnosis!" The Riolu disappeared and went behind the tadpole for a feint punch, Amphib turned to wave his hypnotic belly, bringing the canine into a slumber. Hayner used a pokeball for a back attack toss, catching her in a fast speed and picking up the ball.

Ken and Pence had a different issue, with the eight Pawniards leaping from the debris and encircling them. The leader Pawniard pointed two of his cohorts at Ken and gave Dewott a sucker punch, two went after Heater with a metal claw and one of them was burned for their troubles, the smaller Pawniard gave a whisper of torment on the otter as a member gave a sharp leer. Ken gave a fast parry on the two pouncing blade mons and sent them back as Dewott gave the lead Pawn a razor shell slash. Heater blasted a burned mook with an ember as Ken gave a nest ball to the smallest of the bunch.

The leader found that an acceptable loss and delivered a sucker punch, Dewott dodged and gave a tail whip that rose a defiant vigor. Pence tossed a great ball at the burnt mook for a fast catch and had Heater scorch the other. The five stepped back in caution and Ken puffed in ashes, disappearing and looming behind the leader. The alley way drained of light and cast enough of a shadow that the boy readied a dusk ball.

Fling!

The Pawniard leader was caught in a shroud and the ball shook before landing.

The remaining four were in a panic and a side mook was hit by a mud shot, the defiant mook gave Poliwag a glare and sprinted for a swift fury cutter. Hayner cringed and called Amphib back right as the mook delivered a sucker punch. Missing comically as a Pawmi took the Poliwag's place. "Okay, we're good now!" The panicking Pawniard tried another punch that was dodged and was hit with a nest ball. Pawmi gave an stray Pawniard a mach punch that set Ken up for a nest ball capture. Leaving three. Pence watched the one with Heater give a metal claw and was burned, warranting a pokeball capture and leaving two.

The Pawniard duo gave a leer as Heater followed with ember and Pawni a mach punch. The Twilit boys used nest balls to capture the remaining two.

With that, the gang was captured and the boys cheered, Ken let the light return to the alley way and had a sweat. "They never said this was going to be easy. Now we got some options."

Hayner laughed sarcastically. "Or you have options! Finally." Ken raised a finger. "That too!" He picked up the ball holding the leading Pawn. "Let's get these guys ready for a change in scenery and keep looking around."

The Pawmi gave a cheer as a gentle voice gave a sharp lecture. "Aud!" (What are you doing with those Pawniards, haven't they've been through enough trouble?)

The band turned around and found a pink rabbit like creature that is cream colored at the chin, belly and legs stood upright and is folding her arms crossed. Her blue eyes squinted and folds of the ears resemble a stethoscope. The boys gasped. "An Audino!" Pence realized by the angry look. "Was she watching over those guys?"

The normal type's glow indicated a yes, Ken readied to call Dewott back as Hayner signaled. "I got this one! Pawmi needs to keep training!" The one armed boy respected the wish and asked. "Pence, help me gather up the balls."

While they, Dewott and Magby were at work, Hayner ordered fast. "Give the Audino a nuzzle and follow with mach punch!"

The Pawmi zipped for a fast nuzzle tackle that shocked the Audino in place, she countered with a zen head butt and was given a fast mach punch. She stiffen from her paralysis and was given another before closing her eyes for a wish. The boy knew what wish was going to do. "Oh man, oh man!" He gasped, brought out a great ball, licked his lips and made a wish. "Come on, catch her!" Fling! Tap! The ball brought Audino in and bounced onto the pavement. Shaking three times and giving a click!

The bow phewed as Pawmi leaped in joy, giving a dance of victory as he began to glow. Growing bigger and having his arms looking more bulky. Hayner's heart skipped a beat as the evolution happened rather fast, bringing about a similar marmot in a lighter orange and looking wider, he cheered and showed his paws had pads of a similar shade to the cheeks. "Pawmo!" The evolution was a pleasant surprise and the trainer cheered. "Woah, that did the trick! How're you feeling?" The Pawmo was getting use to his hind legs and gave a hop left and right. (Stronger! Now we got one more thing to do and I'll be ready for the big lifting!)

Ken and Pence finished bagging up the Pawniards and watched the end result. Pence whistled. "Nice and early too! Say, anything special we need to know from the Dex?"

Ken had a check and looked around for anymore suspicions. He saw a number of 1000 steps and put the phone away. "Um... yeah, just go on a long enough walk with Pawmo and he'll be at his next evolution in no time! This pokemon's part fighting too!"

Hayner had a spark of an idea. "If this guy can get to that stage soon, then we'll almost be ready for the Hitmons!" Ken pointed a thumb at Pence. "Then we just need one more of us to balance out his team. Those guys were looking at Silicobra weird."

The boy in the t-shirt raised his hands. "I'll get to it, I'll get to it, it just wasn't a good time, I can't use bulldoze without hurting you all." The team leader thought more. "We might get some extra help later today, so it won't be too long." He thought. "Hey, before we get to looking, that Audino was a bit worried before a fight broke out, you mind if we check on her?"

Hayner didn't and let the hearing pokemon out, Ken applied a heal to cure the paralysis and apologized. "Sorry about that, it's a big deal that we got to capture every one of you we see. This kind of place is pretty dangerous for anyone without a sharp eye and we need to relocate you all."

The Audino felt her nerves working and brushed herself. (Well, that clears it up. Have you all done this to Riolu too?) Dewott nodded and pointed a thumb to Hayner. (Yeah, she was the first.)

Audino nodded and asked the hot blooded boy. (May I check on her, she's been keeping a close eye on those Pawniards ever since we've all been blinked here.) Dewott pointed to the Riolu's ball and asked, Hayner understood and let out the little fighter, that saw Audino and had a nervous blush. (Got into it again Audino, sorry.)

The doctor groaned and sighed while using her feelers to give an inspection. (Well, we ran into someone who can help us, at least. We can finally steer clear of this den.) She gasped in a memory. (Oh, Dewott, Magby, have you seen anything else that is strange on your way here? Any misplaced objects or people that have a weird look to them? I haven't seen Ditto since that one time yesterday.) Magby shook his head. (Been in a ball the whole time.)

Dewott groaned. (Could have known about that sooner. Give me a minute) He called to his partner. (Hey, Ken) He pointed at the phone. (May I borrow that? I think I know how to work that thing.) Ken crouched and let the Dewott try it out. "Audino's asking you for something confusing?"

The starter nodded and went to work on typing an entry for Ditto, a pink blob with a blank expression of a face, resembling a line with two dots over it. Ken hmmed and gave it a read. "Ditto?"

Blip!

"The Transform Pokemon: Normal Type: Its transformation ability is perfect. However, if made to laugh, it can't maintain its disguise." His eyes widen as Hayner over heard. "Wait, there's a pokemon that can turn itself into anything it sees?" Ken showed his cohort the log. "According to the extra log. It can freely recombine its own cellular structure to transform into other life-forms. This is it's real form."

Pence cringed and asked the Audino. "You can't be serious?! Is there any clue at all, that can tell us if we spot a Ditto or not?" Audino pointed at her face. (They always have that face to them!)

Ken was at a blank. "It could be any ordinary squirrel, rat or pigeon for all we know and care! Although, we might be in luck if it tries to turn into a person." He groaned. "But that's only something we can react too! Our expert could be busy for all we know, so we don't have a way to really find this trouble maker."

Dewott closed his eyes in agreement. (Not a bit, Kendry! Not a bit!) Hayner put a hand on the team leader's shoulder. "Easy there, if it's going to be that hard for us to find a Ditto, then it's going to be impossible for a crook to find him as well. I think we got enough pokemon to make our hideout as good as it's going to get."

The one armed boy had a childish squirm and let go of his pride. "Yeah, it can't be perfect on that first day." He asked the Audino. "We got a lot of pokemon that are going to need care and we'll be heading to rougher places. Do you mind being our home medic if we need it?"

The hearing pokemon put her hands to her hips and had a pout. (Did you have to ask?) She nodded dutifully. (I'll help where I can, I might need some experience to learn this handy move. But I'll be with your friends until otherwise.) Dewott, Magby and Riolu took that in gratitude as Ken mellowed. "Thank you." He turned to take the lead and dismissed Nightsky. He half turned his head on the request. "We're taking a long route back to the base, just in case." The band understood and followed the appointed team leader.

Back at the Hideout.

Xion and Olette had a briefing with Emboar and the fighting types about what occurred, having Trubbish take residence in a trash bin while Grimer was allowed to satisfy his appetite on empty soda cans. The brown haired girl showed the Skarmory's ball. "I'm thinking if we ask, we can have Razor Talon be our look out bird. The ladders go all the way to a repair room and all the way to the roof."

Emboar doesn't see a problem with that as the Voltorbs spun around and wanted to hop all the way to the upper stairs. At the sudden, the door open with Hayner, Pawmo and Riolu jogging right in, Ken, Dewott, Pence, Silocobra and an Audino went in at a much slower pace. The energetic boy tried to cool himself from the work out. "*Huff*Just keep doing that until it's time."

Olette was impressed. "Pawmi evolved already?! That wasn't even a day." The Pawmo kept his adrenaline at a rush as the Riolu waved hello, the trainer reported. "Apparently Pawmo can evolve real early if we keep exercising for most of the day. If we can do this, then we can take on the Hitmons!" Lee over heard that, walked over to see the Pawmo who had a work out and gave a nod. (That would be impressive.) He grunted and flexed. (Don't slack off just yet, push yourself to the limit before you can consider yourself done!) The Pawmo flexed back. (We still got a whole day to catch ourselves up! Just don't underestimate us yet!)

The Hitmon gave a respectful grunt as Xion reported. "We found a lot over at the dump and have some pokemon to volunteer as our trash guys. We have a modern Voltorb to be a back up generator and a Skarmory to check on." She looked down to the Riolu and found her quite adorable. "You came back with friends as well?"

Hayner introduced Audino to the household. "Audino, this is our squad and our household! Everyone, this is our nurse!" The Audino breathed in the pleasant atmosphere and recognized one particular, hurrying to the Emboar that was having a look at the progress and complaining. (Where have you been? Those Pawniards were getting into another fight with the rough looking humans and Riolu had to talk with them on your stead.)

The pig blushed. (I was taking a rest over here.) He sighed and slumped forward. (Those humans ran away from me too.)

The Audino was willing to forgive that as the boys readied the eight balls, Ken finished the report. "We've also captured a whole gang of Pawniards, I have no idea how these guys can help, but we can't just leave them in that neighborhood."

He aimed the dusk ball and let out the leader Pawniard before helping bring out the others, the lead Pawn was seeing he was in the confines of a dojo and jumped in terror at the fighting types. (OH SHOOT!) The smallest of the eight was let out to see the locals and eeped before hiding behind the leader. Hariyama stood up and grunted. (It was about time someone took care of you stabbers.) He turned to them and laughed heartily. (But anyone who's willing to put that pack work to some good use, would be welcome over here!)

The leader Pawniard closed his left eye and cringed. (Well, it's a gig we can do until we can find any of the bosses!) He turned to Ken. (Speaking of which, what are you wanting us to do?) The boy saw the eight eager for orders and insist. "Just relax for a bit, at best one of you will be coming with us when we go out there while the rest of you provide some extra security. I would run if I enter a place with a bunch of tiny knives ready to stab me."

He crouched to the lead Pawniard and wanted to pet him on the side of the head, the sharp blade used the blunt end of a limb to push the hand away, letting the boy know. (Don't, you might be the Boss but we don't open up to any Boss that early.) Ken put his hand away and saw a obedient, if pragmatic, the boy didn't mind it too much. "Well, it's better than what that Meowth gave me the other day."

The Pawniards went to make themselves at home as Tinker came down and called. (I got the stuff put away in that attic! Is everyone home?) She had a look at the Pawniards and had a more passive look to them. (Are these some of the new rescues?) The small Pawniard gave a wide stare of terror as Dewott noticed tension and answered. (Yeah, they are. We're still going to be nice to each other, right?)

The Tinkatink squinted her eyes and thought about it. (….Sure, if they promise they'll help us with this project we got. We found a Skarmory that has a treasure trove of sharp wings and Olley's wanting to make a sword. Gotta know how to use it once it's ready 'n all.) She warned the pack. (We're all going to be in this together now, aren't we?)

The small Pawniard nodded meekly while the rest of the pack had a sweat in fear for their lives, the leader looked up to the humans and asked. (Please tell me, this psycho fairy's with one of you? Can't leave them alone 'ere.)

Emboar recalled (Tinkatink's with this girl over here) he pointed to Xion. With the ominous tension lowered, the girl begun to remember. "Oooooh, yeah. Forgot about Tinkatuff." She cringed to the Pawniards. "Sorry," She bowed. "Tinker's with me, she won't give you any trouble with all the metal junk we've found." She asked her fellow girl. "So, should we tell the guys the other news?"

Olette nodded and asked the two boys. "Pence, Hayner, keep an eye on the guys bellow. I need to talk with the captains on the roof." The boys gasped. "The roof?" Pence gasped. "You found a good watch bird?" Olette let them know. "And more." She signaled that the keybearers and the Tinkatink to follow her up the stairs and to the ladder going into the attic. Which housed the ships engine and block storage

. Housing containers of laid out metals, including the three metal wings. Olette hurried to the box and showed it off. "So Ken, before we show you who we caught, we found these in the nest. Metal wings that look pretty sharp." Ken put his gauntlet away and had a feel of the feather, slick and sharp. "It's a little red. Who did these wings belong to?"

Xion answred. "A Skarmory, what does the Dex have to say about it?" Ken checked and gave a fast read. "Can't say no to steel types, a big enough flier is good and-" He tapped at an entry. "guess what, people use to use the shed wings as swords!" He looked over to the wing and gave a firm slash. "This calls for some adjustments in the storage room." He put the wing away and smiled in approval. "This is a great idea that came all the way from a dump?"

Olette shrugged and put her hands to her hips while swaying boldly. "Well, we couldn't let good material go to waist, can we? What's going to be the catch if say... I get a sword made?"

Ken blew to the air, laughed and thought more into it, turning more serious on the matter. "Well, as soon as I turn this attic into a Forge Room and a warehouse, those things are staying put. Then you need to know about what a sword even is and how it's going to be made, it isn't any ol magic to make it happen. It's an extension of you that's going to last a good part of your life. How are you going to start, providing we have a place for that?"

Olette felt herself in a challenge and looked over to the three wings, thinking more about it. "Well, the material for the blade is right there. So I guess I should see which one can cut the best before make that into the sword. Then get things like a handle, sheath and even the wears out so it will be sharp once it's ready to be used."

Ken nodded. "Yep, all the foundations to make the sword. There's only one thing-" He raised a finger with elegance. "it's not just a good weapon that will work, if you ever think that, then there's a good chance someone more qualified will take it from what ever is left of you. Once reality humbles you."

Xion cringed. "That's cold." Ken agreed with that. "As it is when any times have turned dark and thou needs to survive." Olette considered the sage advise. "And then I have to learn how to use that sword. I've only ever had the chance to watch you and Sora use the blade, but we all know it's not the same thing as this."

Ken put a fist to his chest. "Far from it. I want you to think about this, when you have the time to pick which wing to make into that sword and have decided, then we can talk about where you and that sword would go." He tried to lighten the mood. "It might take a while to find that chance, even with Hiro's help. But it's nice to know you're considering this."

Olette appreciated it. "I'll bring them along until I find a place where it wouldn't hurt to do some tests. Now-" She went to a ladder going to a hatch. "Shall we?"

Xion let Tinker get on her back and followed behind, with Ken ascending last, to the top of the roof, overlooking much of the neighborhood. Olette opened the ball and let out the Skarmory that was worn down from battle, Xion gave a fast heal and earned a sharp glare. The bird raised his wings and cawed. (What did you all do?!) He looked around to find himself in strange territory and flapped. (Where am I? What did you do to my nest?!)

Olette sighed. "If it's about your nest, it's right where we left it. Xion only took some of your wings for me. Before you go get that over here, we need to talk." The bird was willing to listen as the girl took a deep breath. "We're turning this building into a hideout and we need someone who wouldn't mind being up here, to be our watch bird. We'll get what you need to get by, but we need someone to let us know if something's coming or not."

The Skarmory contemplated and peered his head down the hatch, finding quite a comfortable place in case of the rain. He turned his head to the humans and the Tinkatink before giving a nod. (This place would work better than the last one. Would you tell them that I'll be back with my nesting stuff?)

Tinker nodded as the Skarmory took off back to the dump. Xion imagined by the air. "He's going to get his stuff over here, it's full of pretty sharp stuff, so we got to be careful." Ken ahed. "Sharp and dangerous? Guess he can't find anything else to scratch against that armor." He readied to climb down. "Let me know when he's back, I'll be working on the attic." Xion saluted him. "Will do, Captain!" Ken let himself slide down as Olette sighed at a heart felt desire. "He's taken his spot pretty seriously, huh?" Xion saw the blush and turned red herself. "What you asked is personal for him, he and Kairi spent months training to get better." The average girl remembered the tales. "It didn't help that I warned him, what my dad would do if anything happened to us out here. That boy has his heart in the right place, that's for sure."

They heard a distant caw of frustration and watched Skarmory return to the base, looking embarrassed about something. Olette guessed. "Did something happened to your nest?" The bird nodded. (I tried to move it and pick it apart, but then it all fell apart. Do you got any sharp brambles or something? I think I work from that.) Xion had something else in mind. "Let me get some seeds and I'll do you better."
