Chapter 2, Lucy and the Wardrobe
I do not own the Chronicles of Narnia all rights belong to CS Louis.
No, let us begin
Before I start, I have things I need to say
authors note
I got someone who left me a comment about my writing style not being similar to Louis's riding style. There's no way I can write in the same type of style as him, but I'll give it a try. Maybe I can do better in this chapter, but I'm trying to stay faithful to the movie version that I saw that's why it's a little different that's why chapter 1 was more like the beginning part of the movie and not the beginning part of the book. But the rest of the story will be, and I will start the story similar to how the book starts now in this chapter. This chapter will probably be a little longer because I'll have to fit a lot into it, but if you send me any more awesome or even criticizing comments I will read them and approve them for the rest of my story chapters for this story.
So if you wanna leave me, awesome comments and not-so-awesome comments you can but like I said this is based on the movie, not the book itself but there'll be some elements from the book too.
end of author's note
OK let us begin this chapter now this chapter will be about Lucy and the wardrobe the whole point right and what would happen if Edwin actually believed Lucy that there was a world called Narnia in the wardrobe and not just mainly spite her and wants to see for himself.
Well, you'll have to find out what happens, won't you? I hope you enjoy this chapter. I think this will be fun and engaging and nice and lengthy because there'll be so much going on.
And we began on a rainy day.
The rain fell, but before we got to that part we had to go through introductions.
Once there were four children named Peter Susan, Edmond, and Lucy, they were sent to the house of an old professor during World War II during the raids on London.
This was just their first day here after the day that they met in each other's rooms, but we must first begin on that first night when the girls or the boys met and the girl's room to talk about what they were going to do that day for the next day?
After eating supper and saying goodbye to the professor for the evening, the boys met and the girl's room did you see the size of this place commented Peter that chap will let us do whatever he likes whatever we like I think he's an old deer says Susan.
Oh dear huh said Edmund now Edmund Peter said manners, right of course Edmund said Edmund was the type of kid who was very snappy about everything, especially now that he went to that new school where everything went wrong for him at that boarding school that he was sent to all four of them go to a boarding school together.
Like I said, you've seen the size of this place, especially the woods behind the house there we could discover anything we like they named different animals they would see from badgers to rabbits to hawks to foxes.
No, we should all go to bed now that we know the plan that we might consider doing tomorrow of exploring.
Let me all go to bed now go to bed go to bed yourself. Edmund said manners once again Peter said when Edmund just said yes ma'am to Susan about going to bed himself Lucy yawned and said I'm tired now. .
OK, it's time for all of us to sleep.
next morning
It is raining
Of course, it could be raining. Edmond complained as the rain poured outside on a miserable day. I thought we were going exploring. The children were sitting in the drawing room. They were set up for them that morning. There's a wireless encyclopedia or whatever and a lot of books books, and then said how boring.
Edmund said how boring books that's how you wanna spend time.
We can play hide and seek in the house or we can explore the house. Lucy suggested you know that's not a bad idea. Peter said I'm gonna not we could explore the house. Can we do that? Of course, there are probably all kinds of rooms. And who knows what passages are in between each of these floors they wouldn't hear us from anywhere from from here to the dining room. You're right Susan said let us do that. That'll probably be fun after all. OK, Edmund said agreeing.
Today is what they did that's what they did as they explored the house.
I say first over which way to go Lucy found a spare room empty an empty room except for one wardrobe.
She said it was such a lovely wardrobe as our siblings walked past her.
I wonder if it's unlocked or locked she wondered oh no it's unlocked. It isn't locked. She opened the door but did not close it because she knew it was silly to shut her cells up in one's wardrobe.
It is one of those most beautiful wardrobes made out of beautiful wood, and it had a looking glass in the door.
Then she started touching the fur coats in the wardrobe there's nothing more than what Lucy likes to feel between her fingers or on her face, then soft. Luxurious fur as she walked to the back she found a second-row coat she said it was a big wardrobe. This is an enormous wardrobe. Lucy said to herself.
She let her hands across the first till she got to the back, but did not find the back of the wardrobe with the wood like a normal wardrobe at the back of it as she wanted she said there was a second row of coats. Lucy loved no more than she loved rubbing her face against soft fur. It felt good across her face.
Eventually, she felt something crunchy for her feet as she kept on walking what was going on she wondered if she stepped out into the cold, brisk air and snow falling she found herself in the middle of a wood with snow falling around her.
The trees are also covered in snow and a lamp post. She wondered why is there a lamp post in the middle of a wood. She knew she was in a wood because she saw trees everywhere she stood. Why am I in snowy wood? She wondered.
Lucy Pevey didn't know where she was. She looked back to see the room behind her in the light from the summer. She said I could always get back if I could find this lamp post and the light to the spare room, she thought and said out loud as she continued to walk it was cold, but she bit through it.
As she was walking, she almost ran into someone.
This person was no bigger than Lucy herself.
He was about as tall as her, but he was an odd little person to say so, to say the least.
He had hooves on his feet and his hands where she could see of them one was holding a parcel or package in his hand, and the other was holding an umbrella. He had a scarf around his neck and black hair on his legs down to his hooves, they were shaped like goats hooves, and a horn or horns on his head. His skin was red, and most of him was bare except for the scarf around his neck.
He was a fun, Lucy. I had never seen a farm before except in drawings or books. This was the first time she saw one in person. The phone was startled as he dropped his parcels his packages onto the ground. Oh, I'm sorry Lucy said it's quite all right the phone said as Lucy went to help him pick up the packages. What's fun doing out here with a pack of packages she asked and an umbrella in the snow?
I'm on a walk with these packages to return to my house. He said I was about to put on the kettle for a cup of tea. Would you like to come?
Yes, Lucy said what else will that be cake? He said with sugar on it and toast and jam and sardines and honey he said Lucy smiled. What a feast she thought to herself. Yes, I would love to have tea with you, but what is your name because you are a stranger to me?
My name is Mr. Thomas said Mr. Thomas on the phone and said well, Mr. Thomas I would be glad to join you for tea. Lucy said that she took the little font hand and held him with the umbrella. I will sign this on top of both of us, he says that'll keep the snow from following us.
Lucy smiled as she took Mr. Thomas's hand as they walked in the snowy wood.
She didn't notice his beard, but she saw it. He didn't have a beard much, but he had a little bit of one.
She saw that his eyes were blue or brown. It was hard to tell as they walked. He told her things about the trees about each tree that they were walking past, and they talked and shattered along the way.
Lucy told her her full name. My name is Lucy Pevey. She said to Mr. Tom, this is Lucy Peven he said, would you like to have tea with me as we walk they walked on. I would love to she said where are you from? He asked, I am from well. I'm not sure she said back there. Where did you come from the spare room in a wardrobe? she said well Lucy Pevey from the bright city of wardrobe in the land of spare room let us continue our walk. You know it's summer there she said interesting. He said it's winter here it's been always winter and never Christmas he said can you imagine Lucy shaking her head? No, I can't imagine that there would be eternal winter and no Christmas.
Well, it has and it's been forever so long he says.
Finally, they arrived at Mr. Thomas's home he turned sideways into a little door into a cave here we are we see and see he said my home. She looked around herself and saw a picture of an older phone on the mantle as he got the fire going in the kettle.
To boil the tea, she made herself a comb to sit down on a stool she saw his tail now, which was wrapped around the umbrella earlier of course falls would have a tail.
Then he laid out the tea things it's time he says for tea as he laid out all the food and the tea.
cliffhanger
Is cliffhanger time ending this chapter I hope you enjoy it. I want to put the tea party in a separate chapter. I think that'll make things more fun. Don't you think a whole chapter dedicated to the tea party and other things I wanted to get it up to where she met Mr. Thomas, but I also wanted her to have at least some kind of death here but the next step will be the tea party and everything else that happens in this chapter I hope you enjoy it and I'll see you in chapter 3 not three yeah three sorry about that chapter 3 soon.
This would be a companion chapter to this one so I hope you enjoy it like I said earlier in that author note up there, my writing style is not like CS Lewis's, but I hope you enjoy my unique take on the Chronicles of Narnia, the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe and I like I said I'll figure out a way for the betrayal. I'm not sure how that'll work out yet but I will see you in the next one. .
The next chapter will be chapter 3
next chapter chapter 3
