A what-if story where Link from The Legend of Zelda (preferably Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask) replaces Bilbo Baggins as the main character of The Hobbit. This is mostly based off of the Peter Jackson trilogy of movies rather than the original Novel. I came up with this fantasy to escape boredom while at work one day, and I realized there was a lot of potential to it

Two friends are split one chosen by Sauron to be his third in command and the other to be the Hero of Time and be a guardian of the Light. They fight over ideals, but the Hero tries to bring him to the Light and stop the useless fight (summary sucks, I know)

After saving Hyrule from the darkness of Twilight, Link feels as if his life has lost its purpose. He unknowingly makes a request to Farore to give him purpose again. Farore answers his request by giving him the chance to join a company of Dwarves on their quest to kill a dragon and reclaim their homeland. Will Link find his place amongst his strange new companions? Maybe more?
