This is my newly written story based on the former Netflix show "All Hail King Julien."

It was nighttime, and Ted and his wife peacefully slept, but the Red-Fronted Lemur, Ted, struggled to rest. He tossed and turned, seemingly trapped in a troubling dream.

Dream Sequence*

"I'm such a loser, all alone and cold. Dorothy is gone," Ted lamented, trying to warm himself. Suddenly, he heard a twig snap nearby. Trembling with fear, he called out, "Uh, who's there?" The growling sounds around him made him clutch onto his wedding dress tightly. "Hello?" he asked, his voice wavering and panic creeping in. The snarling noises grew closer, and he realized he couldn't risk calling for help. Instead, he took off running.

As he sprinted away, the sound of multiple footsteps echoed behind him. He turned to see several Fossa approaching. "Oh, I shouldn't have ditched her," he muttered to himself as he left a trail of urine dripping down his legs. Breathless, he pushed through the foliage, tripping over branches but keeping his balance. Soon, he spotted a cave in the distance. "Finally, shelter!" he thought, relief washing over him, but that sense of safety quickly faded when he heard growling behind him. "Oh, my stars!" he exclaimed, dodging just in time.

Ted had never run so fast in his life. He spotted a fire ahead, but a paw swiped at him as he got closer and tumbled forward. "Ow, my leg!" he cried, turning to tend to it. Suddenly, a menacing figure with glowing red eyes appeared before him. "Please, I'm too young to die," he whimpered, tears forming in his eyes. Just then, he heard a battle cry echo nearby, causing the shadowy figure to halt, its teeth inches from Ted's face. Curiosity overcame fear as Ted peeked from behind his hands.

Then, a mango was thrown out of nowhere at the Fossa, momentarily blinding it. Seizing this chance, Ted sprinted away, desperate for safety. Another Fossa jumped out in front of him, this time foaming at the mouth with another battle cry, and then a type of lemur appeared. Only this one was slightly familiar because all Ted could see was his back. "Sage?" he asked, noticing his vast biceps, though the color scheme was off. His eyes tried focusing hard to make him out, but it was challenging.

"Hide," The baritone voice said, and Ted didn't hesitate to obey. He hid behind a cave wall and peeked out to witness epic action. He watched as the masculine lemur punched and kicked the two Fossa individually. "Oh my, he's an outstanding fighter," The Red-Fronted Lemur said while blushing and continuing to study him. His eyes were filled with hearts.

Dream Sequence Ending*

Ted finally relaxed with a smile while snuggling with his own body. Then, he opened his eyes, looked at what he was doing, and sighed. Even though he was tired, he sat up, stretched, and got up. He stared forward until he heard his wife wake up. Ted, what're you doing up? Dorothy said in a sleepy voice. "Oh hey, uhh, ..just getting some air," He disappointingly responded, and with that clarification, he smiled and returned to her beauty rest. Ted softly smiled, but then it faded away as he turned away. His eyes were filled with guilt as he buried his head in his hands and cried softly until a ghostly voice was heard, which Ted instantly recognized. "Mom? He looked up. She went around the corner, so he went after her, but when she turned to face him, she reminded him always to be true to yourself and to stop living a lie." Then she disappeared after saying she loved her son. "I love you too, Mom," He said tearfully.

He noticed that his wedding gown was hanging up. He stared at it with such intensity and slowly reached out. Suddenly, Mulan's Decision started playing in the background. He eases his hand back cause he still feels an obligation to his wife. He was unsure until his alter ego showed up. Snake? He spoke. "Remember, I'm the man inside you," He said as he prepared to take down the gown, turn to him, and put it against him. "Ted began to cry more, but Snake held his chin up and smiled. The Red-Fronted Lemur noticed his eyes up close, and then, out of nowhere, he dove in for a kiss, though it was soon cut short as Snake eased back. "Who am I? He asked, wondering if he intended that kiss to happen. "That, my friend, is for you to figure out' He disappeared. A motivated Ted puts on the dress. "I am me," He said with power in his voice.

Ted went through the montage of Mulan's Decision; he went back into the door, looked at his sleeping wife, stood by her bedside, and contemplated on whether to either give her a goodbye note or to kiss her goodnight, implying he'd be back soon which he won't. He still cares deeply for her and will do anything to make her happy. He suddenly got an idea; he keeled down and started saying his deepest wishes softly so she wouldn't hear. After finishing, he went out the door with his wedding dress on. It was still nighttime, though he shook it off as come dawn, he could begin his era.

After the long montage, he found himself wandering the forest. "Boy, it sure is creepy in the dark all alone," he said until he heard a crack, which made him turn out of curiosity. "Hello?" he asked. Suddenly, he was rushed and knocked down by an unknown figure. Fear gave him goosebumps before he could see who it was, as he noticed Karl. "Please, help me," He pleaded. Leaves started to rustle before he had time to act on the choice. The Fanaloka held out his hand, which Ted was reluctant to do for valid reasons. "Promise you won't do anything bad? He asked. "Cross my heart," He said, already frightened.

Ted wasted no time and took his hand. "Wow, you have soft hands," he said. "Thank you," he responded after being helped up. Karl heard someone approaching, so he tackled the lemur into a nearby bush. Ted was underneath Karl, who was trying to conceal his breath control. "Okay, I think we're safe now," he said after the footsteps faded. "So, what're you doing out here? Karl asked, getting off of the lemur. "Oh...it's a long story," He said, sighing. Come back to my place," Karl suggested. Ted's heart was saying yes, but his mind was at a standstill.

I know this isn't much right now, but I just wanted to introduce a new and improved Ted. Please know that Ted will have multiple love interests. I got an idea in my head of what I wanted this story to be.
