The town square was already bustling with energy. Twinkling fairy lights hung between the trees, white chairs were neatly arranged in rows, and an elegant floral arch stood at the end of the aisle. Everything was set up exactly as it had been planned—for Lorelai and Luke.

But now, it was Rory and Logan's wedding.

As people arrived, whispers filled the air.

"Wait, what's happening?" Babette asked, gripping Miss Patty's arm. "I thought this was Lorelai and Luke's wedding!"

Miss Patty fanned herself dramatically. "Oh, honey, something big must've happened."

Taylor Doose stormed toward the center of the square, looking positively scandalized. "This is highly irregular! There are town permits involved! And adjustments to the schedule! Who authorized this?"

Lorelai, who was checking last-minute details near the altar, turned to him with a smirk. "That would be me, Taylor. Consider it a slight change of plans."

"Slight?!" Taylor sputtered. "This is an entirely different wedding!"

"Ah, details," Lorelai waved him off. "Just go with it, Taylor. It's happening, and it's gonna be beautiful."

Meanwhile, Kirk ran up to Luke, looking panicked. "Luke, I have a problem!"

Luke groaned. "Kirk, unless your house is on fire again, I don't want to hear it."

"It's not on fire," Kirk reassured him. "But my wedding toast was specifically written for your wedding. I don't know if it applies to Rory and Logan!"

Luke sighed, rubbing his temple. "Kirk, no one asked you to give a toast."

Kirk blinked. "Oh. Well, that's a relief."

Getting Ready

Upstairs at the Dragonfly, Rory stood in front of a mirror, staring at her reflection. The light blue dress shimmered under the soft lighting, hugging her figure perfectly. She ran her hands down the fabric, feeling the weight of the moment settle over her.

Lorelai stood behind her, adjusting the dress slightly at the shoulders.

"You look stunning," Lorelai said softly, her voice full of emotion.

Rory smiled, catching her mother's eyes in the mirror. "It feels surreal."

Lorelai nodded. "Yeah, weddings have that effect."

There was a brief silence before Rory spoke again, her voice quieter. "Are you sure you're okay with this? Giving up your wedding day for me?"

Lorelai scoffed. "Pfft. Please. You think I want to do the whole thing over again? I married my guy. That's what mattered."

Rory turned to face her. "But it was supposed to be your big moment."

Lorelai reached up, brushing a strand of hair from Rory's face. "Kid, my big moment was the day you were born. I have never—never—been prouder of you than I am right now."

Rory swallowed, emotion building in her throat. "Mom…"

Lorelai smirked. "Don't cry, you'll ruin your makeup."

Rory let out a watery laugh, shaking her head. "No promises."

Lorelai took a deep breath. "This is it, babe. You're about to go out there and start this whole new chapter. You ready?"

Rory met her mother's gaze and nodded. "Yeah. I'm ready."

Lorelai grinned. "Then let's get you married."
