(Chapter 1: A Hero out of Time)
It would be a daunting time for Ben Tennyson who armed with the Ultimatrix and regarded as one of the greatest heroes of his time, was now locked in the final battle against Vilgax and his armies to end the intergalactic conquerors threat once and for all. Yet as the 33-year-old Ultimatrix wielder alongside his friends and allies made their final push to end the galactic warlords' threat for all time, one fateful moment would change everything for Ben Tennyson and send him off to be made a hero once more…in a time where heroes are all but gone.
(Vilgaxia, September 10th, 2025, 1:54 Pm)
It would be a hard-fought battle as Ben now as Ultimate Atomix currently fought against Vilgax who utilized the power of the Alpha Rune to hold-off against both the Ultimatrix wielder and Gwen who was preparing a spell of banishment once and for all..
"Gwen! We're gonna have to do Black Hole Sun, while we've got him on the ropes! Otherwise, we're screwed. if we don't." Ultimate Atomix called out as he unleashed his Oppenhammer attack to send Vilgax into upper orbit once more
"Ben, if we do this. I don't know if I can get you back this time. The Alpha Rune and Ultimate Atomix don't exactly mix together well." Gwen said in her Anodite form as she raised a mana shield to block the multitude of tendrils made of magenta and blue eldritch lightning at them
"It doesn't matter, Gwen. What matters is that we get this done for everyone who sacrificed so much to get us here." Ultimate Atomix replied as he used a Royal Fission Flush to send out a multitude of stars-like bolts of atomic radiation to disintegrate the tendrils en masse
"Grandpa is on life support and at deaths' door because of him, Rook is dead, my team is dead and dying, Kevin's nearly dead too, and Helen, Manny, Alan…We have lost too many people and we have come too far to not finish this, Gwen! So I don't give a hot crap about what happens, all that has to happen is that we end this once and for all! Vilgax's conquests end today." Ultimate Atomix further spoke with so rage, regret and determination that he once more began to glow like a living sun
"Ben, I know…It's just that…I can't lose you too." Gwen spoke struggling not to come to tears after the past 4 years of war
"No matter what happens, you won't ever lose me. I'll always be here where it counts, Gwen. Even if I'm a hundred universes away, we're family and that is something that will never change no matter what…So for familys' sake and everyone that's been with us, let's get it done." Ultimate Atomix said back
"I've come back from worse than whatever else is gonna happen. So no matter what, I'll find my way back to you and vice versa…Like you always say, I'm the worlds' luckiest doofus." Ultimate Atomix added in trying to ease the tension somewhat with the forms approximation of a form
"Yeah…Yeah I know, and you'd better. You still have to be an Uncle to Devlin after all of this." Gwen told the massive form of her cousin
"I know Dr. Dweeb. Now come on, let's do it...We have a warlord to kill." Ultimate Atomix said as the two bumped fists before flying off
All the while Vilgax whose armor had considerable sections of it blown off, his body sustaining a large handful of radiation burns that even with the power of the Alpha Rune empowering him; that he could feel his insides being cooked nonetheless from the ungodly amounts of radiation and other attacks from the near 3 hours long battle having been pumped into him. Yet his thoughts were broken when he was the shout of Opperhammer and an accompanying fist-shaped burst of emerald hued atomic energy the size of a city block rammed into him at speeds near as fast as light itself.
The warlord in question summoning a barrier or mana in the shape of a conglomeration of eyes and squid tentacles to protect him from the Oppenhammer heading towards him, yet for all of his ability to wield the power of the Alpha Rune; he nonetheless found his barrier being compromised by a balista-sized bolt of arcane lightning summoned by Gwen. Which while not powerful enough to shatter it outright was enough to blast off large sections of it to where the Oppenhammer was able to engulf and subsequently send Vilgax furhter flying into the depths of space, where he was blasted through one of Vilgaxia's moons and into its second one.
But not before Ultimate Atomix was there to use Fisson Buffet to take the shattered remains of the moons around him and atomically transfigure them into a multitude of rocket-propelled missiles the size of houses that rocketed towards Vilgax who swung out with his sword that unleashed arcs of dragon shaped flame the size of bullet trains. Wherein the streaks of flame collided with the moon fragments turned missiles; causing a multitude of explosions to light up the star-filled sky to the point that it hurt to even look at, as Viglax threw up a shield of otherworldly power to protect himself from the fallout.
However, in doing so did Gwen quickly cast a spell to turn the mana-created construct against him and transmutate it into a set of manacles and binds to essentially hogtie the warlord, as Ultimate Atomix with the shout of Atomic Asura sprouted forth 6 additional pairs of arms made of fiery atomic energy; as Gwen rushed beside him as streaks of light at the struggling Vilgax. Wherein Vilgax was then left to be assaulted by Ultimate Atomix pummeling him with his punches and elbows that packed enough power to make nuclear bombs look like sparklers in comparison, whilst Gwen was using a massively amplified Haste spell to strike out with an Infinite Mass Punch in the form of faster than like kicks and punches to Vilgax's body.
The Tennyson's sparing no expense in unleashing absolute hell against their long since archnemesis to the point that the intensity of their attacks could be seen as a star trying to collapse in on itself from the amount of power that began disintegrating any nearby celestial bodies. Wherein Vilgax who tried to escape from his binds was despite his great strength unable to do so, given that even as he was being pummeled by the dynamic duo in question at speeds approaching faster than light, was Gwen multitasking into using her innate mastery of mana to continuously reinforce said bindings.
Wherein, by the time they finished their assault on Vilgax who looked like he'd been trampled by a herd of Vauxsaurians; did the hyper-evolved alien; finished their assault with an uppercut from all arms of his Atomic Asura from Ultimate Atomix, and, Gwen unleashing a vicious reverse roundhouse kick with enough force comparable to a plasma cannon from a star Destroyer. With Vilgax being sent careening for thousands of miles, both of them began preparing for their own attacks with Atomix firing a Gamma Roulette as 12 beams of high intensity gamma rays rocketed outwards, while Gwen fired off a combination of a Super Kamehameha mixed with a Finger of Death spell.
The twin attacks merged to form a spiraling mass of radiation and necromatic might that hurtled towards him at relativistic speeds, with the warlord barely being able to break-out from his binds only for Gwen and Ultimate Atomix both transmute the debris of the meteors and comets he'd crashed through into new ones to hold him in place. Leaving him subject to being plowed into a large moon so hard that a crater the size of Texas was formed, his body being shredded, melted, and decayed by the combination attack; that forced him to call upon the Alpha Rune that flashed erratically from having to continuously regenerate Vilgax's wounds, as it repaired them once more.
"Gwen, how're we looking on the spell?" Ultimate Atomix asked as they few towards Vilgax
"I just need another minute and a half; maybe 2 to 3 minutes." Gwen answered back
"That's plenty." Ultimate Atomix said as they continued to fly towards Vilgax
"I will admit, the two of you have put a greater effort than many of the heroes I have taken hold of…Even that idiot Aadwaitya; didn't impress me this much when I ripped this from his bloated corpse." Vilgax spoke as he rose forth his greatsword brimming with power once more
"But this rebellion of yours ends now. From this point on, I will end the Tennyson bloodline once and for all." Vilgax said as he turned the blade of his greatsword into a 6 headed hydra with metallic scales
"Over my dead body, Vilgax! Microwave Singularity Madness!" Gwen and Ultimate Atomix shouted as the hydra breathed out a blast of concentrated mana
With the combination attack being launched as a pulsing mix of microwave radiation so intense that it was comparable to a red giant, and gravitational magic that turned into a warbling mass of radiation and ultra-dense gravity that even Ultimate Atomix had to transmute nearby meteors into chains strong enough so that neither he or Gwen would get sucked in. All the while Vilgax's sword blade turned hydra's proceeded to unleash blasts of mana turned solar energy into the warbling mass of power headed towards him, that rocketed forth as streaks of energy so powerful they could vaporize continents with the greatest of ease.
However, as the beams of energy made contact with the Microwave Singularity Madness, they were not only absorbed into it at a gluttonous pace but in doing so only served to enlarge and empower the attack to the point it was the size of Oaklahoma in scale, with Vilgax having to transmute his sword back to normal after seeing his attack only strengthen that of his enemies. As such he focused as much power as possible into his bare hands as he proceeded to grab and with every ounce of strength he possessed and all that he could muster from the Alpha Rune did he begin compressing and forcibly crushing the attack downwards.
What with Vilgax roaring in pain as he did so, feeling his muscles, bones, and flesh snap and shred to pulp, to the point that he felt his armor and cybernetics cooking themselves into implosion as he began to work the radiation and gravity-filled mass into something he could use to retaliate against the Tennyson's. Did Ultimate Atomix use Vilagx's moment of intense concentration to teleport behind him and use a Alpha Lancer to charge his right hand with an egregious amount of Alpha Radiation in the shape of a knights' lance to pierce through Vilgax's back with great ease.
His colossal fist reached in to not only grip the Alpha Rune but also begin overloading it with radiation, as he kept the combination attack at bay; meanwhile Gwen began to work on putting her spell of banishment to work as arcane sigils and runes of brilliant royal blue and magenta pulsed around Ultimate Atomix and a struggling Vilgax. Wherein the world around them began to vibrate as runes of banishment began to form and spin faster and faster; that they had became an obscenely swift torrent of arcane symbols around a struggling Vilgax and Ultimate Atomix, as Gwen struggled to also draw upon the strength of the Alpha Rune to enhance to magic of the spell.
All the while Ultimate Atomix was using his radiation powers to make it so that the damage dealt to Vilgax would be nothing short of cataclysmic in its entirety to where even the regenerative powers of Vilgax's cybernetics, as well as his own regenerative abilities amped by that of the Alpha Rune would be rendered null and void.
"You know that even if you defeat me, Tennyson, that this will change nothing? That there will be others will rise in my name, and carry out my will to conquer the stars." Vilgax spoke as he struggled against Ultimate Atomix's death grip as he used Atomic Asura to put Vilgax in a full body submission hold
"As long as you die, then I'm fine with whatever happens next…Besides, there are plenty in my camp who will make sure your forces never get another chance to fuck over the galaxy…It ends here, Vilgax, once and for all." Ultimate Atomix swore as the magenta and royal blue light grew brighter and brighter
"If you truly think that Tennyson, then at least let me give you a parting gift…A reminder that no matter what you do, you will never escape me." Vilgax spoke as he used all of his remaining strength and a considerable portion of the Alpha Rune to impale both himself and Ultimate Atomix through the gut
'Shit, this is gonna suck! But…I cannot bitch out now, not when we're so close!' Ultimate Atomix thought to himself as the banishment spell soon began to reach completion
"Ben, its ready!" Gwen shouted through
"Then do it, NOW!" Ultimate Atomix roared to Gwen who nodded in tears but not before sending a telepathic goodbye to Ben
'See you on the other side, doofus…Thanks for being the best cousin I could ever ask for.' Was the choked telepathic words of Gwen
'Same to you too Dweeb, and don't worry. I'll find a way back one day…Until then keep being a kickass sorceresss. I swear if you aren't Dr. Strange on steroids when I see you again, I'm gonna be disappointed.' Ultimate Atomix spoke back through the connection
'I'll be strong enough to get you back, Ben, I promise.' Gwen said before the banishment spell took hold as hundreds of halos of arcane might surrounded the two before collapsing in on them in a flash of arcane power and might
Wherein in the aftermath of it all was left the heavily smoking remains of the Alpha Rune, as the spell worked to send Vilgax and Ultimate Atomix banished throughout space-time, yet the combination of the Microwave Madness, and the overcharged Alpha Rune had one unforeseen side effect. Given that it had done as intended in catapulting both throughout space-time, but in doing so sent Vilgax who without the Alpha Rune's power found himself being atomized by the pressure of the spell, in tandem with being pinballed across space-time.
But the fact that Ultimate Atomix soon found himself being blasted across not just any of the universes he'd been through but something else entirely, as colors never before seen to human eye appeared before him, sounds, sights and all sense blurring together into an unrecognizable mess that made it nearly hard to focus. Whilst the Ultimatrix wielder was slingshotted into an entirely new universe, as he was smashed through a new universe…a new time…all together that saw him being smashed and pinballed across the length of a tunnel of cosmic energy so intense that he felt himself being distorted and stretched in ways not humanly possible.
And as he did so whilst being catapulted and smashed through this weird storm of kaleidoscopic color; did he bear witness images that confused and bewildered him, one was of a giant of an armored man sitting upon a bloodsoaked throne of skulls where fiends battle and fought one another in displays of carnage; of which he could have sworn that the giant stared back at him. Another were demons of various genders engaging in debaucherous acts that made the Ultimatrix wielder want to vomit, others was of a corpulent green-skinned titan laughing with a sickening chuckle as he labored over a foul-smelling cauldron, and a 4th was a blue-feathered bird like demon pouring over nigh-endless texts of eldritch knowledge and horror.
Wherein even as he made a force-field to protect himself against it did everything blur and distort together, as he hurtled throughout at speeds faster than light, causing shockwaves so powerful as he did so, that they would destroy solar systems as though they were made of rotting clay and mortar…Minutes. Hours, days, passed before he found blinking one moment to find himself in the familiar yet unfamiliar star-filled void of deep space, before he blinked again to find himself in re-entry as he swiftly descended into a cityscape of an unknown planet.
The result despite being covered in a force field was a cacophonous explosion that eviscerated everything in several-mile radius, despite his using his powers to slow his descent to what degree he did not know as everything went white around him…But what he did so as what felt like hours after crashing; his body smoking from being slungshot through dimensions, space-time he could not fathom, as he managed after nearly 5 full minutes of stumbling to his feet from his unwelcome crash landing to fly out of the crater.
Wherein after transforming back into Atomix standard and pulling Vilgax's sword free from his gut, did he use his powers of atomic manipulation to seal the wound shut, before he once again transformed himself back into his human form…Bruised, battered, and bloodied but content at having helped finally end the Chimera War, and as he looked up at a brilliant navy-colored sky, using Vilgax's claymore as a crutch to steady himself; he looked up with his one non-swollen eye to take in the almost dilapidated cityscape surrounding him.
"Well, Ben you finally did it. You finally killed VIlgax and put an end to the bastard that nearly killed Grandpa…Granted my everything is busted, but at least I have my bag of tricks with me, to get me patched up and ready to go. So at least that's something, on the positive side." Ben said as he trudged/half-limped forward in using the bloodied Claymore as walking stick
"The only question is, where even did I get sent? Because, I know for sure that I'm not in Bellwood anymore…" Ben further spoke to himself as he continued forward to explore his new surroundings
(Karakinos, April 20th, 952. M30, 2:10 Pm)
Meanwhile, as days passed onwards on Planet Karakinos; Ben wasn't the only one on the presumed to be barren planet as the Matriarchs were after being mysterious teleported from their legions to this mystery planet were in the midst of scouting out their new surroundings and figuring out where to go forward.
"Rogal. How is our new camp coming along?!" Asked Jahgahtai Khan
"It is still a work in progress. But within a few days if not a weeks' time, with Perturabo's assistance we will have an adequate place of lodging." Rogal Dorn curtly answered back as she continued her work
"Good. Because, the less I have to hear that Fulgrim's petulant whining about being stranded; without somewhere to make herself look like a painted whore, the better. I swear if she spent half as much time worrying about her looks and practiced with a blade. That she could contend with Furiosa and I." The Khan replied tired of hearing the Matriarch of the Emperor's Children bitch about not being able to maintain her 'perfect' looks
"You know as well as I do; that asking her to not worry about her looks. Would be asking Leona to be sociable, or Furiosa to not be a furious berserker, or Konstance to be…Konstance." Rogal Dorn replied as her fellow Matriarch sighed
"...Fair enough also has anyone been able to find Furiosa wherever we have found ourselves? I know that Sekhmet and Mortarion went looking for her earlier…On our father's golden taint it shouldn't be hard to find a 9-foot-tall madwoman." Jaghatai Khan questioned regarding their lost sister
"Your guess is as good as mine, Jaghatai…That being said…I am hopeful that she is found soon, the last thing that any of us need is to have her rampaging; father knows where…Either way, leaving her alone on an unknown planet in the midst of deep space is bound to spell trouble." Rogal Dorn answered back
"You act as though she's going to get herself killed by some fucking xenos, or a damned beast from the Warp?" Jaghatai Khan spoke as her fellow Matriarch finished building her portion of the wall
"Then again, knowing her, by the time we do find her. Anything living or otherwise will be a bloody mess." Rogal Dorn said back
"Then that is why we have the likes of you, Morgana, and Sekhmet as contingencies against her. After all, if there is anyone that can subdue her it would be the lot of you." Rogal Dorn further replied
"Don't forget about the Perturabo and Leona. Those two are more than a match for that raging beast of a woman." The White Scars Matriarch pointed out
"Fair enough." Was the reply of the Imperial Fists Matriarch
"...Do you think anyone will find us out here? At the very least wherever 'here' is…for all we know we could be in the midst of Chaos space. Then we would truly have a problem on our hands." Jaghatai Khan questioned
"It is hard to say. Without knowing where we have been transported to, I cannot guarantee an answer." Rogal Dorn answered back as blunt as Thunder Hammer to the liver
"But, what I do know is that one day we will be taken off this rock. Our father and the others will no doubt see too it immediately. After all, with 12 of us having gone missing. It won't be long before search parties are sent to look for us…Until then we remain patient, build fortifications and scout outwards to see what remains of this world, or if we are the only ones hear." Rogal Dorn told her sister before going back to work in building the rest of what should be their temporary home
'If anyone comes to our rescue, hopefully its Guilliman. If anyone could get this done, it would be her.' The Khan hoped to herself
Meanwhile, Konstance Kurze known as The Night Haunter, The Matriarch of the Night Lords, and one of the most feared amongst her sisters was currently deep in thought, as she was caught in the midst of one of her visions whilst searching for Furiosa…Only this one was an incredibly odd one to the Night Haunter as out of all of the visions she had been cursed with over her many years of existence, this was one of the rare few that looked to be pleasant.
Wherein she was on another planet, dressed in a navy blouse and black long skirt where the sun shined bright above amidst clear blue skies; a modest house behind her as she found herself on a porch where the one thing that shocked her the most came running up to her. That being a small boy of 10 years of age with her as black as her own and skin as pale came running up to her with bright green eyes; calling her mother asking her if she was going to play with him and his brother…with the Matriach in question stock still at the fact that a vision would have her becoming a mother to any child.
Konstance, unable to answer as the child claiming to be her son, asked her repeatedly until he was stopped by an older boy who looked to be entering his teen years with the same black hair and green eyes, as well as a man who wore a wedding ring. The man while shorter than her was powerfully built and strong at nearly 6 and a half feet, with the same bright green eyes as the children claiming to be hers', with brown unkempt hair and a equally unkempt goatee beard that strode over towards her with a friendly, reassuring aura about himself, as he wore a strange green and black gauntlet on his left arm.
Asking if she would be ok while he watched the kids and reminding her that their anniversary was the following night, with Konstance only being able to nod as she saw the mystery man in her vision smile and jump up to kiss her on the cheek, before rushing off to go and spend time with the two black-haired green-eyed young boys. The long-since feared matriarch watched with a sense of curiosity, happiness and joy at the thought that a vision would give her a potential future where she could not only be happy with a significant other, but also become someone worthy enough to love and create life in two young children.
However, Konstance was soon snapped from her vision when she felt the presence of none other than that of her red-skinned immeasurably powerful Psyker of a sister Morgana the Red; who noticed her fellow Matriarch not only have a thoughtful if not genuinely (non-murderous) happy smile that was accompanied by tears streaking down her face.
"What do you want, Morganna?!" Konstance Kurze hissed in anger of her vision being taken from her
"I was just curious to see what was it that had you smiling for once. After all, its rare if ever that you look even remotely close to being anything that isn't outright murderous, or sullen" Morganna the Red wondered remarking her sisters' previously almost blissfully happy expression
"So pretell, what was it?! I'm dying to know what vision you experienced to make you cry tears of joy." Morganna the Red further spoke as she began to use her Psyker abilities to see what it could've been until Mercy was pointed at her throat
"Pry into my mind without my permission, and you will see just how 'joyful' I can get." Konstance Kurze warned as Mercy sparked to life whilst a menacing sneer soon stretched across her face
"Fine, fine, even I know not to pry into what horrors goes into your mind without permission…The last time I did that, and I had to deal with that blasted 'Night Haunter' of yours." Morganna the Red spoke knowing that Konstance's mind was not a particularly fun place to venture in
"At least you have 'some' common sense." Konstance Kurze curtly responded before striding off to continue looking for Furiosa
'Does that vision mean I may finally have a chance to truly be happy? Can I finally be allowed to know true joy in my wretched life? Or will I be cursed to again kow nothing but misery and suffering?' Konstance Kurze wondered to herself as the image of the man in her vision would stay affixed in her mind as she continued alongside Morganna
(1 week later, Terra, April 28th, 950. M30, 1:45 Pm)
Meanwhile, on Terra itself; none other than Minerva Guilliman was with Malchador as the two were currently hard at work searching for where the now 12 missing Matriarchs had vanished off too out of nowhere, with the fact that they had vanished into who knows where was incredibly concerning.
"How exactly do 12 Matriarchs suddenly vanish from their legions without a trace? Even someone such as Morganna would have left a trail of Warp energy, it they were to disappear so suddenly…But instead, we have little if any to go off of." Minerva said in a moment of equal parts frustration and thoughtfulness
"So that continues to beg the question of what or who could have done this?" Malchador wondered as they looked over the ever-expansive map of the Imperium and all connecting sectors
"...And you are positive that the sudden departure of your sisters was not Warp-based?" Malchador questioned the Ultramarines Matriarch
"As far as I am aware, yes. I have checked with the captains of my sisters legions and from what those of the Thousand Sons, Iron Warriros, White Scars, and Luna Wolves have told me so far. They vanished without so much as a trace…One moment they are there with their legions, and the next vanish in a blast of green light." Minerva informed the Emperor's right hand after days of meticulous contact with her sisters' fellow legions
"They suddenly vanished in a blast of green light, you say? Are you positive this isn't related to the Warp, or even that of the Necrons?...Trayzn has become active again." Malchador questioned in finding the latter to be one of the more likely ones
"I had thought of the Necrons as a likely option. However, I had to rule them out as a culprit. Given that if this was his work, then why not capture all 18 of us in one fell swoop…From what I have heard of him, and has been told to all of us by our father and you yourself. Trayzn does not deal in half-measures." Minerva replied in having ruled out the Necrons as a culprit to the sudden disappearance of the Matriarchs
"That is the one saving grace to all of this. The Necrons having even a single Matriarch would be disastrous to say the very least." Malchador said back knowing that the Necrons having something of such esteem in their 'collections' would be a terrifying thought
"Undoubtedly so…However, I was able to reach out to Freya and inform her of what has happened. Luckily she was amiable enough to agree to help in the search for our sisters. Although, I could do without the smell of Fenrisian mead on her breath when I did so." Minerva told the wizened old man
"While she may not be my first choice when it comes to matters such as this. She is the most reliable when someone is needed to get something done." Minerva further spoke knowing that the often raucous Matriarch herself was nothing if not diligent in what was asked of her when the time called for it
"Agreed. Although, much like those wolves of her; her temper and gluttony for battle are nothing if not migraine to deal with. At this point, I am surprised she hasn't challenged Furiosa to a duel to prove her mettle as one of the strongest of your sisters." Malchador responded knowing that the Space Wolves Matriarch was a handful' despite being the most steadfast of the Emperor's soldiers
"Until that time, I must remain focused on the matter at hand. The faster we find them, the better. Neither the Nerons, the forces of Chaos, or Emperor forbid the Eldari find out about this. Otherwise, the Great Crusade will become far more complicated." Minerva said back
"While I agree, I would also advise that you get some rest, Minerva. While it is admirable that you are dedicated to the task at hand, even a Matriarch needs to rest." Malchador spoke in regards to the dark circles under her eyes
"I can rest when we have recovered them safely…While the Imperium will stand strong no matter what happens. There is only so much that their Legions can do, without their Matriarch to lead them." Minerva replied knowing that it was paramount that the missing Matriarchs' be found immediately
As someone who specialized in the logistical and logical side of things, Minerva knew full well that having 12 missing Matriarchs; who served as the exemplary symbols of the Imperiums' might go missing without so much as a warning or signal, was something that could prove disastrous in the long term if not dealt with swiftly. Given that without the likes of a master saboteur in Branwen Corax, the immensely powerful psychic in Morganna the Red, or the military leadership of Leona El'Jonson or even the mechanical prowess of Perurabo that things could go south quickly if not handled.
"I understand your concern, Minerva. More than anyone do I understand your desire to see them returned. However, we must remain patient and contact the other Matriarchs to have them aid in this trying time…To stress over this when nothing can be done but that, serves neither of us any good." Malchador replied knowing that the best thing they could do was to remain patient
"Fair enough, Malchador…Still, what are we to do in the interim? There is only so much that can be done; before our enemies grow wise to the fact that we are missing over a dozen Matriarchs." Minerva said back
"We will continue on as normal. The best thing we can do to throw off any assumption that things have taken a potential turn for the worse. Is to remain vigilant and continue as per normal…To panic and throw caution into the wind would be to invite diaster and ruin into our ranks." Malchador said with a voice that came from decades of experience
"Forgive me, I am still new to being a Matriarch. To go from managing logistics on my home planet, to not even several years later; being in charge of my own legion…It is, It is stiil a surreal experience to go through." Minerva replied still finding the task of a Matriarch daunting to say the least
"That is more than fair to feel that way. After all, you handled it better than most when we found you. I still remember when we made Konstance a Matriarch to the Night Lords…The poor girl was a bloody mess, figuratively and literally." Malchador spoke with a small shiver at the terror that was the Night Haunter when they eventually found her crucifying the skinless bodies of crime lords on Nostromo
"But that being said, you have all the potential and more to help lead not only the Ultramarines. But the Imperium itself to greatness. Things like that take time, and while your homeworld prepared you considerably well to do so. You still have much to learn about the greater galaxy." Malchador further spoke with an encouraging tone to his wizened voice that brought a small smile to the blonde Matriarch's weary face
"Thank you, it is a good thing to know that I can depend on you for counsel." Minerva said back thankful for his reliable counsel
"I am the Emperor's right hand for a reason aren't I? My counsel has helped the Imperium go through hellfire and all sorts of blasted nightmares, and come out stronger for the better. As such my counsel is always at the disposal of our dear Emperor's favored daughters…All you need to do is simply ask." Malchador responded his crinkled face stretching into a small smile
"That being said, I am again advising you to take a moments' rest to regather yourself. You are of little use to anyone, on barely a few hours rest. It is the least you deserve for your hard work, to find your sisters." Malchador further spoke
"And what will you do, while I am resting?" Minerva asked
"I will be contacting the Blood Angels. They may not be the best at tracking, but they are nonetheless one of the most relentless when it comes to chasing a target." Malchador answered back
"Good luck. The last I heard of them, Sanguinous was fighting off against a Chaos cult trying to summon a daemon horde." Minerva informed the elderly right hand of the Emperor of Mankind
"Knowing them, it shouldn't take much effort at all if she is leading the charge. Sanguinius is one of our strongest warriors without a shadow of a doubt...A few more decades or maybe even a century, and she could rival even Constantine in time." Malchador said with a small chuckle over Sanguinius's terrifying combative prowess
"In the meantime, I will contact you should any changes arise, Minerva." Malchador told the Matriarch of the Ultramarines
"Thank you, Malchador. I appreciate it." Was the Matriarch's reply before departing
'Now then, where in the Emperor's name could the 12 of you have gone?' Malchador wondered as he began combing through the map of the many star systems to see any potential locations
(3 days later, Karakinos, 950. M30, 2:10 Pm, May 1st)
Back on Karakinos, Ben had used this time to not only explore the seemingly dilapidated city around him, but also using both his affinity for building machines; alongside his intelligence-based aliens to help set up defenses to protect himself and weapons to arm and hunt with. What with the Ultimatrix wielder in question taking refuge in a airship hangar, as a makeshift workshop as he worked on repairing and modifying a H.O.R.U.S drone, installing it with an A.I he and Cooper had worked on named Bahamut.
"Come on, come on, and…There we go!" Ben said with a grin as the drone in question came to life
"Hello, Benjamin. It is good to see you again." Came the resonate baritone of Bahamut
"Good to see you too, Bahamut. Sorry, I had to upload you into a one of the Horus drones, but I am working on making you a newer body to pilot in the mean-time…This was sort of the best I could do on short notice." Ben said to the drone in question
"You do not need to apologize. I am more than understanding of the events that have left you constrained on time." Bahamut replied in understanding
"Furthermore, I must inquire if the Chimera War have been won against Vilgax? Given the serverity of what it has caused for the Plumbers overall, as well as the state of your battalion; when I was last active." Bahamut questioned the Ultimatrix wielder who had a look of bittersweet victory on his face
"We won alright, I even have Vilgax's sword as a souvenir." Ben answered back gesturing to the claymore resting off to the side
'Which reminds me, I really should work on beefing it up. But what to do to make it, even more awesome?..I'll worry about it later.' Ben wondered to himself before refocusing attention back to Bahamut
"That is great news. Although I do not see Gwendolyn or Kevin anywhere?" Bahamut replied as they swiveled their head and floated about to see where they may be
"They aren't hear with us, buddy. Gwen and I beat VIlgax with our last resort plan, but because I was so desparate to kill Vilgax for good. I underestimated what forcing enough radiation into the Alpha Rune to destroy 10 suns would do with Gwen's banishment spell in the mix…Which landed me getting blasted across space-time, and who knows how many other universes or whatever." Ben told the A.I before him
"Then the next thing I know, I wake up on a planet that isn't in any of our maps. Where there's nothing but creatures that look ripped out of a D&D book…Luckily, I still have all my weapons and stuff with my Duffle Bag of Holding I keep with me. But otherwise, we are essentially in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere." Ben said dejected at the fact that he was on an abandoned planet
"If that is the case, unfortunate it may be. What do you wish for me to do?" Bahamut questioned his creator
"I want you to help map the city we're in. I need to know which places are gonna be the best to set up defenses in. Where the best places to search for weapons, vehicles you name it are. On top of that, if there's any supplies I can salvage out of this place…It may be abandoned as far as I know, but there still should be items like non-perishables or something I can eat or drink around here." Ben answered back as he knew that any rotten food around he could use Clockwork to simply rewind back to it's most prime state of being
"Very well, it can be done. Anything else, that you will require me to do?" Bahamut responded
"Yeah, once I get things more established, and get you a better body built. I'm going to need you to alert and update me on anything sentient that you find. If there really is anything other than monsters out here. Then I have to be ready." Ben instructed of the A.I
"If I do find intelligent life on this planet. What do you wish for me to do from that point onwards?" Bahamut questioned
"Once you find it, do not engage whatsoever. I want you to keep an eye out for it and report back to me, on what you find. I'd rather not have you get into something you can't get yourself out of." Ben told the drone before him regarding if he found sapient life
"Understandable, as I would very much not like to experience or know what death feels like. Especially, after what happened on Albaz 1 year and 4 months ago." Bahamut said back as the drone gave its best approximation of a thousand yards stare
"Yeaaaahhhh, sorry about that. We didn't know that Vilgax would summon Way Bigs on magic steroids to fight us. If we knew that, then I would've gotten you out of there sooner." Ben apologized for the event in question much to his dismay
"It is fine, we are all prone to making mistakes. Besides, it was nice being able to command the strength of a…Megazord as you call it; for a time." Bahamut said back in acknowledgment of things happening
"Thanks for understanding, and don't worry. I promise that once we get out of here. That I'm going to make you a kickass new body!" Ben promised the A.I
"Thank you." Was Bahamut's simple yet nonetheless friendly response
"Furthermore, if I am somehow captured by any sentient life that may prove hostile. What do you wish for me to do in that instance?" Bahamut questioned in regards to what the plan was should that fate befall them
"If that happens to you, I want you to self-destruct…Don't worry, I'm building back-up relays into the spare bodies I'm going to be building for you. The last thing I want is to have you get captured and compromised for no good reason. So if it comes to it that you gotta blow yourself up, I'll make sure you'll be up and at it again in no time." Ben answered
Considering that with Bahamut basically being the only acquaintance/friend he had on this planet, he wanted to make sure that he would be able to preserve that consciousness as much as possible. Given that without the A.I in question that had helped him and his allies in the Chimera War fight against Vilgax's forces and proved rather useful during a number of campaigns, that Ben refused to let anything happen to them in any capacity.
"Thank you, Benjamin. I am always appreciative to know that you care for me in such a capacity." Bahamut thanked his creator
"No problem at all, buddy. By the way, I will also need your help when I build our getaway ships off this planet. Because if we're going to get outta here, then I'm gonna need someone to watch my back in case things go south." Ben requested in knowing that in being in a new frontier that he would need someone to watch his 6
"Understood, for I am always at your disposal…It is what I was created for, and I will continue to do so until I am of service no longer." Bahamut replied dutifully in his service to his creator
"Glad to hear it. The easy part is the energy source; since I can always just make something from Atomix, or any of my other aliens. The rough part is salvaging parts to make our ships." Ben said back knowing that he'd have his hands full in that regard
"Luckily, we have time in abundance to do so. The planet we are on seems vast enough, and there are still cities and sites we have yet to explore…With enough time, as you, Kevin and the many others of your former squad have taught me. Anything is possible with enough time and dedication, it is only up to us to see it through." Bahamut spoke with resolution and resolve in abundance that made Ben smile
"How could I forget…Its going to be a long, long time while we're here Bahamut. Even longer without everyone back home to help keep me going." Ben said back before looking down at his Ultimatrix
"But, I know that I can't give up. Not when there's an entire galaxy for me to explore once we get off, wherever we are…It's Hero Time, somewhere out there, and once we get our bearings straight out there. We'll have work to do and then some." Ben further spoke his bright green eyes lightning up with the heroic spirit that had him regarded as a hero across the galaxies
"And I look forward to seeing that happen, Benjamin. But until then, we have much to do…So let us get started." Bahamut said as Ben got up from his seat turned into Jetray and took flight to begin scavenging and working towards getting things further set-up for himself
And so in the ensuing battle against Vilgax that has sent him hurtled through space-time, through the Warp and onto an unknown planet within the universe of Warhammer 40K. We also see that he is not alone, as his hurtling across the universes has also brought with him 12 Matriarchs ripped from their various legions. So what is the Ultimatrix wielder to do in a strange new universe, as he works to find a way off this mysterious planet?...Find out in the all new chapters of, Ultimate Alien: Primarch Force!
Alright, that takes care of that, as I hope you guys enjoyed this outting, as my first Ben 10 X Warhammer40K crossover, as I figured that with my still delving into the deep lore of 40K that it would be fun to take one of my favorite series and slam into our absolutely fucked universe. Wherein Ben is gonna be in for one helluva ride to come, as a heads up this is a version of Ben who never took off the Omnitrix and committed to being a hyper-competent superhero.
Furthermore the female Primarchs turned Matriarchs on planet with Ben goes as follows (just so you know I couldn't come up with female equivalents for all of them since there's over a dozen of them).
Lion El'Johnson-Leona El'Johnson
Konrad Curze - Konstance Curze
Mortarion
Angron - Furiosa
Rogal Dorn
Perturabo
Lorgar Aurellion - Lorna Aurellian
Horus Lupercal - Sekhmet Lupercal
Magnus the Red to Morganna the Red
Fulgrim
Jaghatai Khan
Corvus Corax- Branwen Corax
That being said this is Pravus666 signing off until next time, with the next chapter having Ben continuing to fortify his newly found domain, and finding out of the Matriarchs. So stay tuned for all of that good stuff to come.
