The Truth Within The Whispers

-

Connar tossed and turned through out the night...
Moaning and groaning unpleasantly...

Haunted by the many...many... voices... in her head...

"Ms. Connar...Ms. Connar~!"

She tried to block them out.

"Don't hold me back, Ms. Connar...You know who you are, you must remember now!"

She clenched her teeth and threw her pillow over her head.
No...
Stop...
Go away, Go away, Go away!
Go...a...way...?

a sudden calmness washed over her.
Visuals became clear before her eyes...
Am I...dreaming?
I see...a lighthouse.
Is that the Academy Lighthouse?
But wait...there's someone there...

A Blue Haired male stood in the shadow of the lighthouse.
It was hard to see his face in the shadows at first.
But his blue hair all but glowed in the light of the moon.
As did those hot megenta colored eyes...
He turned to Connar slowly, not saying a word
"You...Who are you?" she blinked," What's going on? When did I get here? And how?" she asked, "I thought I was asleep in bed...so..."
But he remained silent.
He then turned to her and approached her slowly...

"Wait...something doesn't feel right." she took one step back, "S...Stay away from me...!"

For whatever reason...this presence, whenever he approached nearer, filled her with an undeniable anxiety...
A Panic that only grew as he got closer.
Like something she was desparately trying to keep locked back, was slowly forcing its way to the surface...clicking...and turning the mechanisms in her mind that built up the mental wall that she kept such things locked tightly behind-
The boy looked on at her...and smiled.
It was a warm smile.
A Kind smile.
A Familiar smile...and a chilling one.

"...Who...are you?" she asked for his name...but he said nothing. Just stared at her...and smiled.
This was strange.
Whoever this was, was someone she knew...but couldn't remember.
"Who are you!?" she asked him again...
And again...he didn't say anything at all.
He only maintained his smile and pointed north.

"You want me to go in that direction?" she asked him, "Why? What's over there?"
The being portraying such a smile soon faded away when another voice echoed around her, only this time it wasn't female like when she held her Dark Magician Girl.
This was a strong male...and it took form of a vibrant light, dismissing all shadows that surrounded her...and fizzling out the presence that had filled her with dismay.

"Follow the light."it said,"It will lead you to me."

"To you?" Connar studied this orb of white light, "But...who are you!?"
As she asked this however, the light had faded, and a shining giggling orb swerved around in his place.
"A...light? A different one...Are you the light the voice told me to follow?"

"Come along, Ms. Connar~!"it teetered in a sing song chirp,"Follow me, he's waiting for you!"

"But...who are you talking about?"

"You must remember now, Ms. Connar, it's important that you do!"

With that, the orb took off, hypnoticly luring Connar to follow.
"Where are we going?" Connar, mumbled, they seemed to walk forever.
At least she did.
Meanwhile the giggling ball of light could float.
Suddenly she felt the wind change, and it caused her to raise her head.
"There...up ahead." she pointed, "Is that...a well?"
The orb teetered and giggled, floating around in circles above the well.
Curious, Connar drew closer to it.
She placed both hands on the stone walls.
She could feel a cool breeze coming from within it as it softly blew her hair around her.
Suddenly the light stopped and manifested into a feminine form.
"I knew it...it's you!" Connar gasped, "You're Dark Magician Girl!"
The female duel monster giggled.
"That's it..." Connar sighed and fell to her knees, while her head hung down toward the grass beneath her.
"Now I know I'm dreaming."
She blonde monster sighed and shook her head.

"There's so much more going on here than you realize, Ms. Connar."she said,"That's why it's important that you remember!"
"But...I don't understand..." Connar said, slowly looking up, "What is it that you keep telling me is so important for me to remember...?"

"They're memories that you locked away yourself a long time ago...They are apart of who you are..."She said,"The time has come...you must rehash them now and face who you are."

She pointed into the well once more, and Connar stood.
If this was a dream anyway...

What difference did it really make to look within?
She swallowed hard and faced the darkness beneath her, one that lit up slowly as another light rose from the darkness.

"Ms. Connar, It's been a long time..."

"Ah..you...you're the voice from before? at the Lighthouse!" exclaimed Connar,"You sound...so familiar to me..."
Almost like...

My dad...

"As I should..."it said.
As the light rose up she reached her hands out to hold it.
"I am-"

THWACK

"Ooooow~!" Connar screamed and whimpered holding her head.
When she came to, she took a quick look around her.
She was back in her Dorm Room.
It seemed that as she slept she rose up and smacked her head against the bottom of the bunk above her, bringing her back into the waking world...

"CONNAR!" there was a pounding on her door, "Connar...we heard you screaming! Are you okay?"
That was Syrus at the door.
A sigh of relief released from her as she rubbed at the bump on her head. "Man...that was an intense dream..." She said as she rubbed the stinging bump and glanced toward her dorm room window "It's morning...but I feel like I didn't get any sleep at all." she sighed.

*Bang Bang Bang*

"Huh?" She glanced toward the door.

Right-
Syrus-

*BANG BANG BANG*

"Uh, yeah I-" but she didn't even get to finish that statement when her a Brunette neighbor crashed his way into the door "Eeek!" She squealed and found herself thrown out of her own bed. "Jaden!?" Connar called out, She had heard Syrus, didn't expect both him and a painicked Jaden Yuki to be on the other side-
Let alone full on tackling their way in!
"What gives?" she huffed, "Why are you banging on my door like mad men!?"
"You weren't answering us!" Syrus stated, " And your door, it was like...stuck. It got all hot- Like- GLOWING RED hot- we couldn't touch it- and- so Jaden-"
"Wait...what?" asked Connar as she shook her head to try to make sense of his panic.
Jaden didn't spare much time to answer.
He quickly shuffled his way to Connar and spoke to her.
"Connar!? Are you all right?" he asked.
"Huh?" Connar blinked her baby blues, "Uh...yeah...why wouldn't I be...?"
"...I...I'm not entirely sure." he stated, "Something just...felt...off." he said, "And for whatever reason...it centered itself around you."
"Around...me?"
Jaden nodded.
"We tried to talk to you-"
"Yeah, I heard you- I even tried to respond and tell you I was fine before you blew my door down-"
"But WE Couldn't hear YOU!" Jaden stated.
Her eyes got a little wide with a puzzled expression.
"Like...We could hear your voice in here." he said softly, "but we couldn't understand a thing you were saying...it was like...muffled or disoriented-"
"Like someone was shuffling your words around or something- it was weird, man!" said Syrus.
"That...is strange." she said softly, "I could swear It sounded like I was speaking perfectly clear to me-"
"Maybe you were." said Jaden, "But it seems something else, didn't want it to be clear to us..."
"Don't say weird things like that Jay-" said Syrus, "That's really creepy..." the boy sighed before quickly shifting over to her clock on the night stand, "Connie- is this time right!?"
"Huh? yeah...why." she yawned.
"Because- We all lost track of time!" he panicked
"Come again?" Connar couldn't quite understand what was going on between being awake and asleep with her strange dreams and Jaden's sudden arrival on the scene talking about weird things- it was all throwing her for a loop that she was trying to make sense of-
"WE'RE LATE!" Syrus belted out.
"Ahhh Oh No!" Connar gasped and panicked, "NOW it makes sense!"
"Wha-HEY!"

She shoved the brunette and his partner out the door and slammed it on them.
A lot of slams and fumbling could be heard from inside, and Jaden chuckled as he heard the girl fall all over herself countless times.
Within minutes she burst through the door and grabbed them each by the wrist wrist and started running ahead.
"What's that thing you always say, Jaden?" asked Connar," Let's make tracks!" she beamed and laughed at her own rotten luck-
Man Dad is NOT going to be happy with me!

This sudden waking brought peace to Connar, shaking away the chills that dream had left in her-

Primarily involving that strange boy she saw within them...

However, Jaden's presence seemed far more than just coincidence... His response was almost panicked- and if what he claimed happened, was actually true?
She was sure she'd have to face the mark it had left on her eventually... especially if he is somehow involved...
But as of the day ahead, she first needed to face her next class-
And Possibly her father's wrath...
