A young girl and her baby tumble through the doors of Leman Street leading to an investigation that touches on Long Susan and a lawyer practice with an interesting reputation.

Set Series 2 post episode 4 pre episode 5. Silas Duggan is found murdered besides three policemen. As the trio hunt for the person responsible they are drawn into a world of business and corruption. With three dead policemen they are under the gaze of Commissioner Monro. At the same time Long Susan is forced to reveal a secret that will change her life.

One-shot follows events at the end of Ripper Street Series 2. Jedediah Shine's backstory is a mystery and so I started playing with the idea that there may have been a woman in his past that knew him like no one else had. A longer story is in mind, but this short piece helped me get started.

It all begins with an innocent tumble down a flight of stone steps at the docks. Little do Drake and Jackson know that soon they'll see Inspector Reid fighting for his life! All three of my old 'RS' stories, 'How Hard the Inspector Falls', 'A Dental Dilemma', and 'You See Before You a Man on the Brink' have also all been absorbed into this one!

I decided to write what I imagine could, potentially, happen in the moments following the very end of 'Edmund Reid Did This'. Please note that this story is written assuming readers have prior knowledge of the events that take place within this episode. This story absolutely does contains spoilers. Also, this is my first try at writing fan fiction. Be nice where possible.
