Chapter 57:I Have Many Names

Alfanheim- the Forest Realm

Robin used Demone Fleur to force Spandam out of the library as Chopper marched out.

They then saw Tew Tom manifesting from a dot hole, and Blueno manifested doors in the air after he appeared from the shadows.

Tom looked like he had come from a very...tense meeting given his bandages on his hands and his serious expression.

From one of the portals emerged an abnormally tall young man with extremely long legs, dressed in a black suit. He had short brown hair and closed eyes that opened into black pupils with no iris with narrow slits.

Charlotte Takaiko- Oracion Seis Group no. 01.

"Ah, so you're the ones causing the ruckus," Taikaiko said, his voice a low, unassuming rumble. He took a step forward, his legs moving with the grace of a giant spider. The ground beneath him seemed to sigh under the weight of his stride.

"Oh, you guys are just support. You already screwed things over and are on a narrow thread. Just sit back and watch.," he added to Blueno and Tom. They didn't even bother to respond as they looked down.

Goldberg stepped to barely look down on the tall individual.

"Degyagyagyagya," Goldberg said. "You're really tall."

Suddenly, he noticed Takaiko jut his hands to perform a Shigan on the Giant, but he blocked it with his animated shield, which wrapped its tongue to halt the limb. However, he was blind-sighted by the kick that instantly knocked the wind out of him as he landed with a thud on the ground.

Not wanting to take chances, the tall youth attempted a Shigan at Goldberg's arteries to have him suffocate and bleed to death, but he noticed his arm was covered in multiple arms.

It was the manifestation of the supposed Flower-Flower Fruit of Nico Robin.

"Should skipped the smear campaign and just allowed us to put you out of your misery. You cambion.," remarked the youth as he leaped to avoid a palm strike from Chopper's Monster Point.

Chopper was not one to back down. He sensed that Takaiko's speed was something to be wary of, but he also knew that Robin was not to be underestimated.

"Goldberg. I'll treat him! I'll catch up once everything is clear on his end.," explained the reindeer as he carried the unconscious Giant away. Taikaiko attempted to kick him but Robin caught him in a Grand Jacuzzi Clutch with her Demonio Fleur form. However...

"Devil Fruits have no nuance...they're exactly what they say on the tin. Like my power.," he said as Robin began to bend unnaturally and her bones began to crack.

Saul then punched him as Mime- his daughter looked on. However, the Oracion Seis member used Kami-E to slither out of the impact and move to attack the half-Giant with a Rokuogun. However...

Saul's Past

The Giant saw a much younger Mime carry a tool kit awkwardly but then tripped as she attempted to walk back with it.

"Dereshishishishi. You're really into becoming a blacksmith. I won't force you to be a librarian if that's your dream.," the father noted to his daughter as he helped her up.

Mime's cheeks flushed as she took the tool kit back into her arms. She had always been a bit of a clumsy mechanic, more comfortable with the weight of metal tools than with the gentle touch of books. Her clumsiness was a constant source of amusement for her friends and a gentle scolding from her parents. She missed her mother.

Saul then hugged her and said,

"There's a girl who's suffering all alone right now. And I'm her friend. It really hurts that I'm not strong enough to do anything about it."

"Can I-I meet her one day?"

"Dereshishshishi. Of course, I think you'd both get along splendidly," Saul chuckled warmly, his heart swelling with pride and hope. He knew Mime had a gentle soul, and Robin's kindness was something he admired from afar, hoping she'd still keep it.

Present

Takaiko managed to pull out an incredibly long katana- Sobietatsu Nire to skewer through the giant mid-attack and then used Rokuogun while the Giant was still dazed, the combined blow causing Saul's eyes to blur as his mechanical parts started to wind down as blood ebbed out.

Robin was struck numb, unable to register what happened till he landed with a thud. Suddenly, the revelation became clear as she rushed towards him with Mime in tow. Chopper having placed Goldberg far enough, dashed to attempt to save him...but realized it was too late.

"Nonononononononono. You can't go now! I've got so much to-," said Robin while Mime cried "Father!"

"I-I always wondered why I got to live this long...Ohara shoulda been the end for me. But I managed to see you again, having hope with friends to live by...and having an angel like Mime with my gal...and experiencing so much...Dereshishsishi! I've extended my life to do what I wanted- I die with no regrets!," he said as he stood up much to the Oracion Seis member's annoyance.

"Everyone likely doesn't understand that message just earlier, but the time will come soon when those who are unaware of the D shall realize what they stand for. The D is-," he added before Takaiko used a Rankyaku to slash him.

Saul stood motionless with a smile on his face and his body limp while standing proud.

Momoiro Island

Kuzan and Garp realized a sensation vanish as they both teared up to varying degrees, knowing what happened.

Alfanheim- the Forest Realm

Robin despaired as did Chopper and Mime as Takiako looked at Namae who flew to bow to him.

"Always the creepy kid.," observed the tall long-leg. "Anywho. Take their names away so she can stop pestering us."

The black-haired, winged youth reached out but was blocked by the massive crow ramming into his gut.

As he did so, he spewed out a selection of words spelling out: O-D-I-N.

Takaiko realized the implications and attempted to swat it away with his kicks, but the Raven ate it.

It was then covered in purple smoke as the avian took on a more humanoid and gigantic frame and people began to become aware of a lost individual whose identity was obscured from history via Namae's implied power.

"I am All-father. Lord of the Aesir. Friend of Wealth. Enemy of the Wolf. One of the Flaming Eye. The Blind One. Battle promoter. Malefactor. Bor's son. Vee and Vili's Brother. Lord of the Undead. Odin- the previous true king of Yggdrasil or as it's currently called Elbaf.," spoke an aged yet resolute voice.

The dust cleared as it revealed the massive form of a gold-clad armored Giant male who towered over a normal Giant in height. His winged helmet had horns that seemed to actually be a part of his head, two raven-skull-shaped shoulder guards, and a shield on his left arm that had an insignia of a burning red skull with flames that resembled two horns. Emerging from the back of the armor was a purple royal cape with light purple fur trimmings. An odd black covering covered his right eye and he had a long-white beard.

In his left arm, he wielded a golden spear with a black raven-like figurehead around the base of the spear with a golden eye on the pummel- with golden wings adorning the eye.

Borrson Aesir D. Odin- Former Member of the Rocks Pirates/Former King of Elbaf.

Next Chapter: All-Father

Author Notes: I knew from the moment he came back, I knew I had to kill Saul because it undid a lot of the tragedy of Robin's backstory. I've added more details such as how he became a valued member of Elbaf society for both Giants and Nivadell Dwarfs as well as a father to a daughter.

Takaiko is essentially my answer to an intimidating Long-Leg villain because it made for an interesting premise.

The real highlight was the introduction of Odin into the story- being someone I wanted to introduce for a bit and always planned it to be the raven that hung around Minerva.
