A sleek black car drove through New Eridu as nightfall slowly descended on the town, holding the famous idol Astra Yao inside as passenger while her manager/bodyguard Evelyn Chevalier drives the vehicle keeping both hands on the wheel. Astra looks out the window in silence, holding her arm as Evelyn maintains a serious expression after being persuaded by Astra to park at her favorite perch overlooking the city.
The girls remained quiet after the day they had with Astra sneaking away from her work responsibilities to celebrate her birthday walking through town. She maintained an inconspicuous disguise, only wearing a simple pair of shades as her disguise but she somehow avoided being seen… until she found herself needing the help of a certain Proxy to help her out of an alley in Lumina Square.
Though, she made it as far as Reverb Arena with her new friend's help, her closest companion Evelyn eventually discovered where she was and peacefully brought her back after giving her thanks to the Proxy that made Astra's birthday a little more exciting. However, the two women didn't sort out their feelings completely, which made Astra a little pleased Evelyn adhered to her request to stop at the perch out of town for a chance to speak with each other far away from the public eye while enjoying a breathtaking view of the city.
Both ladies got out and gazed at the town from the cliff, the buildings glowing bright from all its lights as the nightlife began to perk up throughout New Eridu. Astra looked on admiring its beauty while Evelyn stood with crossed arms, keeping her serious look on staring at the same site. The women stood at opposite sides of the car with Astra slowly taking a couple steps forward, keeping her pleasant smile on as she closed her eyes and tucked some hair behind her ear while leaning on the front of one foot, keeping her hand in place while the wind softly blew over the ladies.
Astra enjoyed the breeze, feeling free from the bustling lifestyle she and Evelyn undertook for a few moments as her blonde bodyguard looked over at the idol. Seeing her clothes and hair blow in the wind while Astra kept that peaceful image, even Evelyn couldn't help feel captivated by Astra's amazing aura. Evelyn turned in place, looking at Astra while dropping her arms as her face softened witnessing the idol she cherished so deeply. No matter how many times she looked at her, Evelyn always felt enthralled by the beautiful idol.
Astra got the feeling that Evelyn's gaze was fixated on her, looking sideways to give Eve, her Eve, that warm smile she was known for. It wasn't the first time Astra felt Evelyn's purple-eyed gaze locked on her appearance, but she didn't mind. In fact, Astra and Evelyn were a lot closer than people realized, their bond only picked up by Astra's most attentive fans, who loved shipping the two ladies to the moon and back as Astralyn, to the idol's amusement and manager's secret flattery.
Evelyn soon shook her head to snap out of her trance, nowhere close the first time she had to will herself back to her own senses. She held a hand to her side, wearing that stern look again as one fitting of a bodyguard like herself would keep up.
"Miss Yao, we can't stay here for long. You've got another big day ahead tomorrow." Evelyn reminded her.
Astra tucked more hair being her ear and looked down, holding her arm with a solemn expression mixed with mental fatigue, thinking about the workload they still needed to do in preparation for her upcoming concert.
"I know… But can't we enjoy this view for just a little longer?" Astra asked.
"I'm sorry, but we have a tight schedule as it is." Evelyn persisted.
"But we shouldn't have to focus on thinking "go, go, go" all the time." Astra argued after turning to Evelyn.
Evelyn tried to persuade the idol to get back in the car, but she saw Astra climb onto the hood instead, sitting on it with her legs together while lying on her hip. Astra kept her hands on the hood at her sides, looking up again with a smile.
"Eve, sometimes it's better to stop and smell the roses… to appreciate what we have now." Astra said, casting her eyes upward while lifting her right hand to the sky.
Evelyn saw the stars in the sky Astra was looking at, a little taken aback by their beauty decorating the scene above as Astra moved her hand close to ball into a fist on her chest, lowering her smiling head with closed eyes.
"If we always keep going forward, we'll miss out on moments like this… moments we can share together." Astra said before looking at Evelyn while keeping her smile and fist in place.
"Not everything has to be related to work when we're together. So, can we stay a little longer… Pleeeeease~?" The idol begged a bit, sounding a little childish at the end.
Eve grew a small smile herself, lowering her head to shake slowly with closed eyes, amused at Astra's behavior. She didn't the idol was wrong in her thinking, the blonde bodyguard actually understood Astra's viewpoint… if only to find an excuse to do anything else but idol work for a bit. Eve was just more strict thinking about keeping Astra on top of work.
Evelyn walked closer to the car's hood where Astra remained sitting, looking like the queen she always appeared as to her fans and Eve. Evelyn loved seeing Astra pose with grace and poise so effortlessly, looking so natural with the dusk horizon behind her as the perfect backdrop. Evelyn bent over a little, dangling her busty chest with her outer wrist on her hip balling her fist and lifted a finger with her other hand.
"Maybe for a little longer… but promise me we have to be back before 9 p.m. We can still make it back in time for you to get your sleep for tomorrow." Evelyn said.
Astra nodded, thanking Eve for letting them stay before returning her gaze to the sky, stargazing with wondrous eyes. Most people would've kept their eyes lingering on how Evelyn's massive bust hung down before, but Astra had no need to act pervy or lustful over the purple-eyed manager. She knew Eve was beautiful, both girls knew how beautiful the other woman was. So much so that the need to express verbally how gorgeous their partner was wasn't necessary between them for a long time, just seeing how the other saw them was all the proof they needed. To them, even the brightest stars paled in comparison to the beauty of the other.
Evelyn tilted her hip to the side a little after standing up straight, smiling a little at Astra being almost hypnotized by the starry sky up above.
"I'm just glad you got to celebrate your birthday safely with your new friend, even if you skipped out on work today. You know how dangerous it is for you to be in public, you'd get mobbed in an instant." Even lectured a little, shrinking her smile.
"It's possible I wouldn't be able to find you if fans crowded you today, much less this close to your concert."
"I know it was foolish…" Astra said, lowering her head again with a small frown across her lips as held her arm again.
"But it's just not fair! Treating my birthday as a work day isn't right!" She whined a tad, looking at Eve.
"I understand completely, but it can't be helped, Miss Yao." Evelyn said after letting out a little sigh, crossing her arms while moving her hips to the other side a little.
"I won't let you indulge in these fantasises forever; you can't let your fans down!"
"I won't, Eve! I know this concert is important to my career, and to this city! I just… I feel I deserve to have this day to myself, at least." Astra argued back.
"At least you spent it with your new friend. Wasn't that satisfying enough?" Evelyn asked.
"It was, but… I had a bigger wish for today… To spend it with someone else." Astra said.
Eve held a quizzical expression, asking who Astra had in mind, seeing Astra turn to her again showing that winning smile once more.
"…You, of course." Astra said with a hopeful tone.
Evelyn gasped, slowly taking a couple steps back while covering her mouth with one hand. Astra smiled a little wider, giggling to herself as she looked to the sky again, leaving Eve stunned almost speechless with an equally stunned expression.
"I… I didn't know." Even said after some silence, moving her hand to her chest.
"I didn't know I was your wish." She said again, her chest rising and lowering from light pants of shock.
Eve had the sense to stop stepping back when she heard Astra talk again as Astra kept her eyes closed, and her head looking forward.
"Of course you are, Eve. It can never be anyone else." Astra said with soft happiness before looking at Eve from the corner of her eye.
"Our new friend did help make today a little more special…" Astra said before turning her head to the stunned Evelyn.
"But it can never be perfect if I don't spend it with you. Even a little bit." Astra said lovingly with a slight head tilt and closed-eye smile.
Eve found herself entranced again by Astra. Her words, her demeanor, her appearance was like out of a painting. A perfect modern-day Mona Lisa that used to exist in times of the old capital. The blonde bodyguard was left breathless… speechless. Astra simply had her heart like none other could hold… and the feeling was returned in kind from Astra looking at Eve with all the love in the world for her manager/bodyguard. Their lives simply weren't complete without the other.
Astra shared that sentiment shifting her position a little to rub the hood of the car a little a bit with both hands, looking down for a few moments of silence before tapping the metallic surface softly with one of them, looking at Eve again with that bright grin spread across her lips.
"The view isn't complete without you." Astra said lovingly again.
Eve found herself moving forward slowly, seeing the unmoved Astra wait for her take her time until Eve felt her leg brush up on the edge of the hood, allowing her to climb onto it and nudge herself closer to Astra. Evelyn propped a foot on the hood, bending a knee up as she placed both gloved hands on the hood at her sides, fingers loosely curled on the metal looking at Astra. The idol moved closer, placing her hand over Eve's gently and used the back of her right finger to stroke down near Evelyn's ear a couple times, keeping her smile before leaning close to speak.
"Now the view is perfect… and it's never looked better." Astra whispered.
Eve softly gasped, seeing Astra lower herself from her ear a little and giggle with her free right fist close to her lips. Eve had to look away for a bit after, trying to hide the blush across her cheeks being close enough to feel Astra's warmth, still surprised she was seen as worthy enough to be next to someone so beautiful and pure inside and outside.
"I'm… I'm sorry. I never meant to overwork you, Astra." Eve said before looking back.
"I didn't mean to ruin your birthday. It's just… the concert will boost your career so much."
Astra kept her smile, hearing Eve's reasoning while moving her free hand onto Eve's thigh, making the bodyguard feel Astra gently caress her thick leather thigh and rub it gently.
"You didn't ruin it, Eve. As a matter of fact… it's never been better. I know I risked a lot going out on my own today…" Astra said before leaning her head on Evelyn's shoulder and closed her eyes.
"But it led us to this moment… Our moment of peace… together." Astra said further, holding her grin.
Evelyn couldn't help smiling at Astra, adoring how pleasant she was to the bodyguard. It wasn't the first time Astra leaned on Eve, but they felt natural in each other's comforting company after being close for so long. Evelyn reached her far hand over to stroke some of Astra's hair aside, letting the idol lean back up after taking some of Eve's strokes from her gloved fingers. Eve stroked the back of her fingers down Astra's face a bit before tipping her chin to look deeply in each other's eyes.
"If we were meant to have this moment today… then I'm happy I could make it a little more special for you. Happy birthday, Astra." Evelyn said.
Astra's pink-and-black eyes stared lovingly into Eve's purple-eyed orbs, keeping her smile as she saw Evelyn lean closer slowly and they both closed their eyes, letting their lips meet soon in an unrushed kiss. They held each other's lips as long as they could before parting to just kiss each other again, smiles worn on both girls' lips. The blonde bodyguard repeated this routine on Astra's wonderful lips at a delicate pace, letting both idol and manager enjoy the moment for all it was worth with each of their glossy pink surface meshing with one another. Astra even felt Eve's hand move from her chin go to cup her cheek, making her hold it while holding Eve's other hand on the hood, lifting a couple fingers to lovingly squeeze.
They moved their heads just as slowly to enjoy every soft kiss with each other as the lights from New Eridu shone from afar, lighting the side of their figures softly. Eve continued to lead the kisses with Astra as the idol smiled from each parting, loving they got to share a truly special moment in the final hours of her birthday. She loved how careful Eve was with her, treating the idol like a true queen… and the brightest light in the bodyguard's life.
Eventually, Evelyn stopped the stop kisses on Astra, letting the girls look at each other as Eve unusually made a request to the idol she adored endlessly.
"Can you wear that new dress tomorrow? I-I just want to see how it looks on stage during testing. For seeing how the lights would shine on it and such." Eve spoke with a tinge of rare nervousness in her voice.
Astra smiled listening to Eve's tone, her own adoration for the blonde relishing Eve's adorably light shaking voice.
"As long as you spend tomorrow with me when we're done with work. Is that a deal?" Astra offered.
Eve accepted the deal with her own small smile, promising the idol to spend whatever free time they had tomorrow with each other to make up for how her birthday went, despite Astra being happy at how much she loved today.
Astra wrapped both arms around Eve's neck, catching her by surprise deepening their kiss. Eve closed her wide eyes and hugged Astra's back, letting the idol take control as they softly moaned together while softly breathing through their noses, a rare instance of their passion for each other taking over on an intense level. Astra easily saw through Eve's excuse of wanting to see her in her new outfit, but Astra knew it was because the blonde was excited to be the first to see the idol in her dress. Eve had no doubt Astra would look every bit as angelic, if not more when Astra wore her new attire.
Astra continued to surprise Eve after they made out in each other's arms for a bit, breaking the kiss to pull Eve on top of her while lying on her back with a smiling giggle under the windshield. Evelyn's eyes and face were softly shocked at Astra's action, seeing the idol beneath from her rare naughty move. Astra cupped her cheek, nodding with her smile as a sign of their trust giving silent consent for Eve to remain on all fours over her. Eve smiled back, loving how much of a spark of joy Astra was in her life, making Eve clutching Astra's wrist from the change in position to sliding her hand into the idol's, intertwining fingers strongly squeezing each other while Astra wrapped her legs around Eve's by hooking her left leg a little stronger than her right bending around the other one of the blonde's more half-lazily, making sure Evelyn wouldn't go anywhere.
Evelyn felt Astra's "entrapment" of her position, growing her smile as her chest hung down along with some of her hair. Eve's beautiful purple eyes stared at Astra lying on the hood waiting for her, feeling that burning love for each other in their hearts. Only their special love fueled their affection for each other; not lust, no sensual neediness or a pining sexual drive to take the other lady. It was a beautiful love, one that made each girl not afraid being their authentic self around the other and accepting everything about their partner, flaws and all, that made both idol and manager/bodyguard cherish their partner. Eve sat in a chair looking up with her right leg crossed and crossed arms under her chest, hugging herself lost in Astra's performance loving seeing the idol still gave it her all like it was the real deal.
As expected, Eve was captivated by Astra's new bedazzling outfit in the stage lights while seeing Astra sing and perform her heart out with her lively stage presence. Evelyn even shyly looked away and combed some hair over her ear when Astra gave her a wink during her song, still amazed by Astra's unyielding charisma. Soonafter, Eve applauded the idol in her seat with a smile when Astra's performance ended, seeing her hold the mic's stand and stretching her other hand to her audience of one, showing Eve her winning smile. Eve soon signaled the bright lights to cut off, leaving Astra and her new clothed no longer bathed in bright lights. Even in regular illumination, Astra's new outfit still looked gorgeous.
Eve got up and took Astra's hand to help her off the stage, catching her by the sides when Astra jumped off gracefully into her arms, looking like she was floating for a moment before feeling Astra wrap her arms around her neck. Astra wasted no time kissing Evelyn again while the bodyguard held her close around a little tightly by the waist, making the blonde return the smooch without hesitation as they were the only ones present at the staging area. They reminded each other of their promise, having lots of spare time now to spend Astra's birthday normally even though it was the day after. Eve wasn't one to go back on her word, vowing to make the rest of the day Astra's best day ever while holding the idol close, loving their bodies pressing on each other as they shared smiles and admired the site of each other's beautiful eye colors.
Astra kissed Eve again lightly with a foot lifted and hung in the air like a classy lady after moving some hair from Eve's face, thanking her for always being there for her as someone to prop up the idol or catch her when she fell, making Eve tells her she's always be there for Astra, like she was from the start of Astra's career being her first fan and cherished the idol as her own family. Before Evelyn knew it, Astra took her by the hand to lead her outside as Astra giggled excitedly about the day they will share. Once Astra changed into her normal clothes, she led Eve to the roof of the venue to ask Eve to do something special to start the birthday celebration together.
Once Eve accepted, Astra turned her back to Evelyn and closed her eyes while spreading her arms out, much like that famous scene from the Titanic. Evelyn stood in place wondering what to do until Astra looked her over shoulder, holding her smile looking at Eve from the corner of her eye, making Eve feel beckoned to approach her. Eve did comply silently, growing a smile as she slowly walked up to Astra and gently wrapped her arms around the idol's waist, hugging her softly as rested her chin on Astra's shoulder. Both girls felt the wind blowing over them, their hair and clothes gently blowing them in the breeze with closed eyes for a while. Eve felt Astra's hand touch her face after a while, smiling at each other as Astra touched Eve's hands with her free one enjoying her bodyguard's gentle embrace.
Astra asked after for Eve if the idol could capture their special moment with a selfie, something Eve accepted unusually along with adding her own idea: they would take the same picture near the end of the day at this spot with Astra wearing her new Chandelier outfit as a way to bookend their day together. Astra was more than overjoyed at the idea, loving the sentimental meaning it would have.
With Eve's permission, Astra posted the pictures to her social media platforms, showing Eve resting on her shoulder as they smiled at the camera, one picture from the afternoon shortly after rehearsal was done and the other sometime at dusk during evening. As promised, Astra wore her new dazzling dress in the second picture per Evelyn's request, revealing her new outfit for the first time to her fans while showing how close she and Eve were, definitely riling up the group of fans who shipped Astralyn strongly in the process. The icing on top was the message Astra left along with the two pictures of herself and her manager together.
"From the first time I stepped on stage to my ventures on the big screen. You're always there to prop me up and catch me in your arms when I fell. In many ways, you were my true first fan, whether I performed in front of 5 or 50,000 people. You're always in the crowd watching me soar, and I'm super happy to have you at my side as we travel through the cosmos together. This journey would never be the same without you, as you burn brighter than any star… Your light glows like a shining beacon in my life… and you help us soar higher than any wind that can carry us. You're strong, beautiful, loyal, loving and patient. I couldn't ask for anyone better to stand with me and cheer me on just as hard as all my Astranauts.
