"Are you seriously leaving to go see Spike, again!?"

"Yes Buffy, I am," Eris was walking downstairs with the Slayer following closely behind and incredibly angered.

"I just don't understand why? He's evil and gross," the Slayer grabbed her cousin's arm and pulled her to stop at the base of the stairs, "he's dangerous."

Eris shrugged off her hold but remained still, "the chip put a stop to any danger he really had."

"Physical danger, did you forget he sided with Adam?"

"I get it, he's not the greatest, but I have horrible taste in men and he's great in bed," she took a deep sigh, knowing full well that her words would not change Buffy's opinion, "I'm going to go and talk to him, and I'm going to be perfectly safe."

"I can't change your mind, can I?" The Slayer received a shake in response, "I can't stop you, and I think you're stupid but I get the whole vampire attraction thing. Just be careful."

"Don't worry, I'm not falling in love with him, its just sex. But thanks," Eris gave her a pat on the shoulder and headed out the door.

Spike was relaxing on his couch with a beer and blood bag when he heard the loud thumps on his door. Knowing who it was, he placed his blood bag to the side and opened the thick, creaky crypt door, "about time you showed up."

"I wanted to wait until it was nighttime, so you got your beauty sleep," Eris stepped inside and moved over to his couch to lounge across it.

"I have supernatural healing, you lost yours when you got cured," he said as looked at the bruises and cuts he inflicted on her. She looked so fuckable on that couch, and he would have taken her right there and then if he didn't need to talk to her.

"Yea I know, if only I could have kept it just a little longer, then I wouldn't be so achy."

"If you did that then you would have stayed a demon, that and forever hunted by the males," he grabbed his beer and leant against the tomb, wanting to get down to business, "why did you sleep with me?"

"Getting right to the point, huh?" she took a moment to gather her thoughts before answering, "you are different."

"I'm gonna need a better explanation than that."

"I'm getting to it. What I mean is you treat me different than everyone. I got dumped and everyone treats me like a wounded kitten, and all they do is walk on eggshells around me, but not you," she picked up the blood bag Spike was going to drink and looked it over as she spoke, "you treat me as you always have, teasing the hell out of me and pissing me off, hell you seem to understand heartbreak better than any human I've ever met."

"This is all very sweet but that doesn't explain the sex," the vampire walked over and gently grabbed the blood bag from Eris so she would look at him.

"I feel drawn to you? If that makes sense. I don't know if our fling back before I knew who you were made my brain get all screwed up, but I keep wanting to be around you or fuck the shit out of you," she sighed and leant her head against the back of the couch, "did I catch feelings? Who knows, but I at least know I like being around you."

Spike looked at her and crossed his arms, mildly surprised by her answer, yet pleased at the same time. He didn't dislike her, he wouldn't have had sex with her if he did, and she was a lot more tolerable than the other members of the Scooby Gang, she didn't treat him like a monster like they did. This was good, he could have her as his entertainment, lessen the boredom that his chip created, "so you may have feelings and like sleeping with me?"

"Yea pretty much. Is that a problem for you?"

"No, not really, most people who try to keep feelings out of sex always end up having one of them catch feelings."

"I don't love you or anything, I just find you attractive and like you for more than your body."

"How sweet. We can keep the sex thing going," Eris cocked her head to the side in curiosity, where was he going with this, "I'm bored and killing demons can get pretty stale."

"And you think sex is going to cure that?"

"Not just that, you're at least enjoyable to be around when you're not insulting the hell out of me. Plus, you get to use me as a rebound."

She watched him silently as she debated on what she wanted to do. She knew she didn't have any real feelings or anything, most likely a mild obsession born out of sex as many men and women seem to suffer. Its never really happened to her, one-night stands were all she had and never wanted anything more, but she supposed vampires were different. Hell look at Buffy, she fell hard for a vamp, it must run in the family.

In the end all she wanted was sex and something to take her mind off Graham, "so no strings attached sex?"

"Yep."

"Honestly I hate having dry spells and you're the best fuck I've ever had so yeah, why not?"

Spike smirked at her answer and leant down so his face was close to hers, "good," was all he said before he captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

After spending the night at Spikes place, Eris had joined the gang at the beach for a fun filled day in the sun, something to remind them all that they were still human and could have a littel free time away from the supernatural.

They set up a nice little blanket close to the water where they could place a portable bbq to cook some burgers for everyone to munch on.

"Go Team me!" you could hear Buffy shout as she caught the ball that Riley had thrown at her. She was in a cute black two piece and a sheer blue skirt draped across her hips that blew around erratically due to the ocean wind.

Riley was in a simple blue shirt and beige shorts, nothing fancy but it paired nicely with the colours his girlfriend wore, "anybody ever told team you the quarterback throws like a girl?"

"I do?" thinking to prove Riley wrong, the Slayer threw the ball back to him with a little more strength behind it, though a little more strength from a slayer is a lot more strength for Riley who went careening straight to the ground when the ball crashed against his face, "oh, sorry! No! No, don't you…No, no, no!"

The Slayer began to run through the sand once Riley got back to his feet and chased after her, her shorter legs were no match for her partner's longer ones and soon she was swept up in to the air by him.

The gang had kept themselves at their little area, each doing various things to enjoy the time in the sun. Xander had created a cement holding for the bbq so it would keep sturdy in the unsteady sand, the wind was making it hard to get the fire going but as always, the construction worker was stubborn. He was wearing an orange singlet and brown shorts in a similar fashion to Riley.

Willow and Tara were sitting on a bright yellow and orange towel together and reading their respective books, both were wearing a simple shirt and flowy pants as they weren't particularly interested in swimming.

Anya and Eris were sitting in beach chairs and leaning back to capture the sun's rays so they could get a beautiful sun kissed tan. They both wore small two piece swim wear that caught the attention of many men walking by, much to the annoyance of Xander.

"I'm exhausted just looking at those two," Xander broke the peaceful silence as he stared at Buffy and Riley, "all the splashing and jumping and running…Shouldn't relaxing involve less exertion?"

"Absolutely," Anya replied once she finished looking at her magazine, "exertion can lead to sweatiness."

"Which can cause the pain and heartbreak of stickiness, better to just stay put," Tara chimed in and gave a small grin to her girlfriend.

"I think we finally put the finger on why we're the sidekicks."

"We may be the sidekicks Willow, but I'd totally be running around like that if I had a boyfriend."

"Yes, but then you could ruin the tan we are trying to get," Anya looked at Eris and poked her bare thigh, "it would be uneven because we haven't rolled over to do our backs."

"Good point, I'm staying put," the conversation came to a stop once Buffy and Riley came over to the group, finally done with their exertion.

Willow took off her glasses so she could see the couple before speaking, "Game over?" she asked with a hint of cheekiness.

"Uh, Buffy slayed the football," Riley showed a completely flattened ball to the group before throwing it to the side.

The pair sat down on their own towel and dusted of the sand that clung to their skin before Buffy realised there was no food, "where's my burger?" she asked, much like a child would to their parent.

"Yea, man, I'm starving. Cow me."

Xander spared a frustrated glance at Riley before answering, "yeah, the uh, fire's not cooperating. It's comforting to know that I lack the culinary finesse of a caveman."

"Ignis incende!" Willow suddenly shouted, and with a wave of her hand a large fire appeared in the bbq that grew so big it knocked Xander of his chair.

"Willow, check you out. Witch-fu!"

"That was hot, pun fully intented."

Willow tried to look humble in response to Buffy and Eris' compliment, though internally she was feeling giddy, "it's no big. You just have to balance the elements so when you affect one, you don't wind up causing…"

Her voice trailed off when a thunderstorm appeared in the sky out of nowhere, like it was magic. The group started screaming and gathering up all their things so they wouldn't be soaked from the rain.

You could hear Willow shouting "I didn't do it!" repeatedly whilst Eris shouted, "my tan!"
