Twilight let out a frustrated huff as his gaze followed that of the suns, something he'd been finding himself doing since the end of his first adventure. He found himself warped into another reality, a new adventure. But this time is different, this time, he's met with multiple versions of himself, versions that he has come to recognize as family, quite in the literal sense. At least in the case of the old man, though he may not know.

He found himself mulling this thought many times as he got closer to the leader. Even now, as he trotted through the woods, quite a distance away from camp, he couldn't get the old man out of his mind. He shook his head, trying to focus on the task at hand. He took one last longing look at the sinking sun and turned away, and he was met with a familiar face.

"Everything alright?" The old man noticed something off.

"Mhm," Twilight barely let out as brushed passed him, pulling out an arrow after a boar caught his eye.

The greenery of the forest made him blend well with his surroundings. He let out a breath as he pulled back an arrow, his eyes sharp as ever, his mind as calm, and his heart beating with a pang of anticipation. All of this came crashing down when he heard a whisper.

"No, everything is not alright." His leader leaned.

"I assure you." A pause was felt before he answered. It's gone, he lost his focus and put down his bow, the boar now much more distant than before. He blinked, trying not to lose his temper or patience at the loss. "You distracted me." He finally looked at Time.

"My apologies." The older man put a hand on his shoulder. "I was under the impression that you were already distracted."

"I told you, I'm fine." He decided to pack up and leave, as dark has almost taken over the forest.

"Where are you going, there is still some light to spare." Time looked to the sun through the trees.

Twilight didn't bat an eye. "Only a little. Do you need help with anything?" Although his mood was soured, his heart couldn't help but be pure.

"Yes, actually." He patted the ground next to him. "While we have a few minutes left, I would like to talk."

"Talk?" The ranch hand unconsciously obliged, sitting to where his leader ordered. "About what?"

"About you." The old man didn't look up as he was pulling out what looked like an ocarina. "This is the Ocarina of Time; do you know of it?" Time looked up at him only with his eyes.

Twilight merely shook his head. "It's very beautiful." He commented.

"Yes. The Princess gave it to me at a dire time." For a second, his mind reeled back. "Yes… I played many songs. Magical songs."

Twilight suddenly felt very odd. Misplaced. 'Why is he telling me this? Is he going to reveal his secrets? Is he going to tell me that… No. It isn't possible that we are related. Is it?' Twilight's thoughts ran. He was brought back to reality with a familiar song, and his eyes shot up to his mentor playing the ocarina.

"Epona's song… You know it?" He gasped.

"Who taught you this song?" Time put the ocarina down.

"My father. Who taught you?" Twilights brows were furrowed.

"My wife."

There was a puzzling silence. Twilights expression softened. They both looked into each other's eyes, trying to find answers.

Twilight cleared his throat. "Well, it isn't odd to have some parallels. We've-

"No, this is different." Time stopped him. "This is personal."

The moon had long risen, yet they both remained despite knowing what dangers it could bring. Time carried a soft yet desperate look in his eyes, as if he had anticipated this, as if he knew the answer to this, Twilight noticed. He reflected the very same look, only with a tinge of confusion.
