Chapter:- 1 Returning to the Past
Naruto is fighting his best friend in all by but blood Sasuke in the valley of the end. As they continue fighting the valley as well as surrounding forest and mountain is being destroyed. As Naruto is countering every attack of Sasuke he became annoyed that the dobe is countering him so he decided that to overpower Naruto he Would need the Biju chakra from the Nine Biju that he captured using Planatery Devestation.
With that in mind Sasuke started to absorb the Biju chakra and marge it with his Susanoo but couldn't control it well and because he absorb more than he can control and when he realise that he tried his best to control the chakra with the help of his Rinnegan but it's too late.
As Sasuke is absorbing the biju chakra Naruto is on the ground thinking what to do when he heard his friend Kurama said " Naruto he is taking chakra from all nine biju and marging with his Susanoo but he is taking too much that he will not be able to control we have to stop him even it's meaning to kill him."
Hearing this Naruto sighed and said " I know Kurama but I don't want kill him. I have to find other way so that I can bring him back to light and bring him home just like I promised Sakura" to which Kurama roared " ARE YOU STUPID YOU DAMN BRAT WHEN WILL YOU SEE THAT YOU CAN'T SAVE HIM. LOOK AT HIM WHAT HE IS TRYING TO DO. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU AND THAT PINK HAIRED TEAMMATE OF YOURS IS OBSESSED WITH THIS DAMN UCHIHA WHEN HE TRIED TO KILL BOTH OF YOU MANY TIMES NOT TO MENTION THAT RED HEAD BRAT THAT IS FROM THE SAME CLAN AS YOU IS OVERLY OBSESSED WITH HIM AS WELL. WAKE UP AND SEE THAT IT IS BEST TO KILL HIM THAN TRY TO REASON WITH HIM."
Kurama's Word shook Naruto to the core as he started to think what his furry friend has said and even though he want to refuse his word but can't as he see that he is really obsessed with saving Sasuke and bring him back to the village so that Sakura will be happy and love him back. Yes he who is ignored in his childhood by all wanted to get attention of any kind latch onto Sakura and take her abuse because she at least gave him attention even it was bad kind and he was really stupid because of his silly crush he even rejected Shizuka who is far more gorgeous and hot than Sakura. Then his best friend and a brother in all but blood Sasuke who he himself want to save because even with his Superiority and Inferiority complex he is the first one in his age group to actually acknowledge him as rival and best friend when others didn't. Sure Sikamaru, Choji and Kiba was friend with him but they also dismissed him as weak looser and dead last they truly started to acknowledge him after Sand Sound Invesion.
All this thinking is hurting his brain so he shook his head and decided to thought about it later as it is not the time to think about his short comes because he have to stop Sasuke or the whole world will be destroyed. So he asked " Ok Kurama do you have any plan how we are going to negate it?" to which Kurama said " Hmm the option is really limited if you knew Flying Thunder God then it would be easy but as you don't know that we have to it another way which means we have to absorb the excess amount of chakra so they don't explode but there is a risk because you can die by absorbing that massive amount of chakra" to which Naruto sighed and thought " Well I don't have any other choice any way let's hope that we succeed so that the world didn't get destroyed" with that thought in mind Naruto gain go into Tail Beast transformation and started to absorb the chakra but the amount is huge and it's already too late and soon Naruto became blinded with because of the light with one thought is going through his head " No I failed to protect everyone".
After that Naruto is blacked out though he regain his consciousness soon enough but see that he is in his mind scape and with him was all the biju and Sage of the Six paths. Seeing him Naruto bowed his head and said " Sorry Rikudo jiji I failed to protect everyone" as he said that tears is streaming down from his eye.
Seeing this Hagoromo sighed and said " No Naruto you don't have to apologise you tried your best but it's my fault for giving Sasuke Rinnegan and half of six paths power. I thought that when I gave my power to Asura the curse of hate was born and giving both of you equal amount of power it will eventually come to end even you both fight as both of you will be equally powerful but I didn't expect Sasuke to use Rinnegan like that.
Hearing this Naruto look up in surprise and asked " Umm Rikudo Jiji can't you save them?" to which Hagoromo said " Sorry Naruto I can't as even though you absorb some amount of chakra to prevent explosion it wasn't enough and the explosion destroyed everything and everyone" to which Naruto became saddened and said " I see" but then asked " If that's the case shouldn't I also died as well then what am I doing here in my mindscape?" to which Hagoromo sighed and said " Naruto you are here because we can't let this be the end so I am going to send you to the past but alternate timeline or dimension whatever you want to say" to which Naruto became confused and asked " What do you mean Rikudo jiji?" to which Hagoromo smiled and said " A Timeline exactly same to ours but different at the same time as well" to which Naruto asked " Different how?" to which Hagoromo smiled and said " That will be surprise for you but the time I will send you it will be before Uchiha Massacare which you have to prevent at any cost so will you take the chance and take the burden of savior again?" to which Naruto thought about everything when Kurama said " Kit take this chance with this we can save everyone"
Hearing this Naruto sighed and said " Ok Jiji I will take that offer" to which Hagoromo smiled and said " Naruto come forward" which he complies and stepped forward and said " Ok jiji what is that you need?" to which Hagoromo said " Naruto I am chosing you as my heir and giving you the Rinnegan as well as other half of six paths power and also tweaking the Kekkei Genkai you already have as for now you have the Lava release, Ice Release, Strom Release" which shocked Naruto but he came out of his stupor and asked " Umm Jiji not that I don't appreciate but why are you giving me Rinnegan and why change boil release and magnet release to Ice and Strom release?" to which Hagoromo chuckled and said " Naruto I gave you Rinnegan because you deserve it more than any one as for others I think it will go correctly and not only that I also want the clan from Asuras decendent to be reborn so its became fair I mean if you save Uchiha clan then Indra's decendent will prevail but Asuras decendent will be in the verge of extension so I want you to rebuild Uzumaki clan." To which Naruto sighed and rubbed his temple as the headache that is forming but said " Thank you jiji for giving me this gift but I have a request" to which Hagoromo said " Oh a request you say What is it?" to which Naruto smiled and said " Can you change my hair colour to red just like all other form my Clan" to which Hagoromo blinked for a moments and laughed as he didn't expect Naruto to request that and after gaining his composure he smiled and said " Ok Naruto I will grant your wish"
After that Hagoromo touches Naruto's forehead and pushes his chakra and rewrite the DNA which while similar to his past DNA but the Uzumaki gene he gained from his mother became more prominent which change his hair from blonde to blood red then he twiked it so it look like he genetically has Lava, Ice and Strom release. With that being done He said to Naruto " Naruto I am now going to send you back in the time line I spoke do what ever you wish to change it so the tragedy doen't befall and rest assured your existence doesn't affect the timeline negatively." To which Naruto nod his head and after that everything is went white again to which Naruto panicked but calm down when he heard Hagoromo said " Don't panic Naruto the white light is the indication that you are travelling through space and time so good luck" and after that Naruto lost his consciousness.
Soon Naruto woke up with a splitting Headache and asked " Kurama are you there?" to which he heard a low rumbling and then he heard Kurama said " Yea I am here Kit". Naruto then asked " Kurama did we make it?" to which Kurama said "yes kit we made it now we have to work towards our goal" to which Naruto sighed and opened his eyes and see that he is in Training Ground Seven. He then look down and see that his hand is small and he is wearing a blue Shirt and black pant with black sandels to which he said " What the why are my hands this small and why there is lack of orange in my cloathing?" to which Kurama said " When you passes through time and space it change your body and now you are back to what you are at 10 year old as for orange it is impractical to wear orange as a shinobi and how you didn't get killed I will never know as it screams I am here Kill me." To which Naruto sighed and said " Well we cant do anything about it so lets go to the Hokage office and tell him everything" as he stand up but froze when he heard rustling sound beside him as he readied himself to face who ever it is but to his surprise a girl came out of the bush and what surprise him the most is that the girl is exactly female version of his past self which only appeared when he uses his Sexy jutsu. Seeing this Naruto screamed mentally " What the hell? So this is the change the old geezer was talking about. I surely doesn't expect female verson of myself what next female version of Sasuke?" to which Kurama laughed and said " Wow Naruto now you have a female counter part running around though I will not be surprised if there is female verson of Sasuke is present as well"
As Naruto is in his own thought the girl is looking at him in suspicion as she didn't see this red haired person before so she decided to ask " Who are you?" which snap Naruto out of his trance and he said " Ah sorry about that I am Naruto and I am new here. I was going towards Konoha because I want to be a Shinobi but who are you?" to which the blonde haired girl smiled and said eagerly " I am Naruko Uzumaki and I am going to be hokage some day dattebane" to which Naruto smiled and thought " Yea you will some day and I will help you because technically you are my sister."
After that Naruto said " Umm Naruko chan can you show me the way to the Hokage office?" to which Naruko said eagerly " Yea Follow me" and started to run to which Naruto just chuckled and run after her.
After some time they reach the Hokage tower and as expected Naruko berge into the Hokage office and shouts " Jiji" to which the elderly man chuckeled and said " hello Naruko chan how are you today?" to which Naruko said " I am fine jiji but I brought a friend here as he is new to this village and want to become a shinobi" to which Hiruzen said " Oh really?" and look at Naruto who is doing his best to not cry with suspicion and said " Well hello young man who are you and why do you want to be a shinobi of my village?" while thinking " Who is he why did he look like Minato but with red hair and also has whisker like mark on his cheek"
As Hiruzen waiting for Naruto to speak Naruto himself is trying his best to compose himself so he didn't broke down crying and after few minute Naruto said " Hokage sama my name is Naruto and as Naruko chan told you I want to be a shinobi of this village but why that is something I want to speak to you in private" to which Hiruzen look at him more suspiciously but nodded none the less as he signalled all his anbu to leave the office and turned towards Naruko and said " Naruko chan please go to your apartment I will visit you when I am done talking with your friend" to which Naruko look about to protest but complied and left the room. After that Hiruzen use privacy seal to seal the room completely and turned towards Naruto and asked " Ok Young man what do you want to say?" to which Naruto sighed and started to explain everything about akatsuki, 4th great ninja war, him and Sasukes battle to how he came here and why he came. To say Hiruzen is shocked is an under statement as one thought going through his mind " different time line, time travel, war, sage of six path". Hiruzen quickly composed himself and said " Naruto what are you saying is practically unbelievable" to which Naruto sighed as he can't blame him he himself still couldn't belive it. Naruto then said " Belive it jiji I am telling the truth and if you want I can transfer my memories to you but before that could you call Itachi and Shisui so they also know about this as well because I need their help in this" to which Hiruzen nodded and release the privacy seal and called an Anbu and order him to fetch both Itachi and Shisui to which the Anbu nodded and left to bring the two Uchiha prodigy.
After 10 minute a knock was heard so Hiruzen said " Enter" and after that the door of the office open and came in Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha. After entering the room they bowed and said " You call for us Hokage sama" to which Hiruzen sighed and said " hai stand up you two" to which both of them stand up and send a curious gaze towards him then turn towards Hiruzen.
Seeing that their attention is on him Hiruzen said " Ok you two this young man beside you is Naruto and he has something to share with you as well as me" to which they became confused and turned towards Naruto who sighed then retold his story much to their shock. After Naruto finish his story both Itachi and Shisui look at him with incredulously and itachi asked " How can we know you are telling the truth" though he didn't want to belive it but what Naruto said is absolutely true as both he and Shisui have their Sharingan active and they didn't see any chakra fluctuation that will identify Naruto is lying to them but they decided to test him to which Naruto said " Simple you have your Sharingan active and see my chakra is still and didn't fluctuate that will told both of you that I am telling the truth and other method is I show you guys my memory that if you want I can show to you" to which they nodded their head and turned towards Hiruzen and said " Hokage sama he is telling the truth but I would like to see his memory if you gave me the permission" to which Hiruzen nodded and said " It's ok Itachi and I also want see this memory" then he turned towards Naruto and said " Naruto if you please" to which Naruto nodded and raised his hand and asked " Fist bump with me so that I can share my memories with you" to which everyone nodded and fist bumped with him.
As soon as they fist bumped with him they saw all his memory from his childhood to the war and his fight with Sasuke and aftermath and it shocked them to the core because they didn't expect such origin of them though Itachi is ashamed of his younger brother's action as he bowed and said " Naruto kun I am sorry for what my brother did to you" to which Naruto simply waved his hand and said " It's alright Itachi let's focus on the ways to prevent it from happening again" to which Itachi smiled a little. Naruto then turned towards Shisui and asked " Is everything alright Shisui you are quite since you came to the office" to which Shisui sighed and said " I am alright just shaken a little what you told and showed us though Thank you for trying your best to save my fellow clansmen and also come back to prevent the massacare of my clan I hope we can be friends" to which Naruto smiled and said " Yea that's fine with me and it will be great to have an Uchiha friend who didn't have Superiority and Inferiority complex" to which Shisui laughed as he really like Narutos personality.
After that they turn to Sandaime who is in deep thought and after few minute he said " Ok Naruto thak you foe the information you gave us and now for your Identity it will raise hell because of your bloodlines" to which Naruto sighed and said " I realise that and after talking with Kurama I came up with my father is half Uzumaki who posses Strom Release and Rinnegan and My Mother is a decendent of both Yuki and Terumi clan of Kirigakure who escape Kiri because of Civil War and met my dad and later have me." to which they look at him in surprise as they thought it was a pretty good excuse but the problem still lays with Naruto having Nine Tails so Hiruzen decided to voice that and asked " Well Naruto that is pretty good back story but what about Nine tails?" to which Naruto thought for a moment and said " Well you can tell them that my parents kept a low profile and died in the Kiyubi attack and dad sealed Kiyubi into both Naruko and me and after that Jiraya took me with him as an apprentice so he can help me master Kiyubi's power so that in future I can help Naruko master Kiyubi chakra and it will not be a problem as I have yin half and Naruko have Yang half or you can say I was an orphan but dad adopted me and after sealing half of Kiyubi chakra in me he send me with Jiraya while assuring that mom would take care of Naruko and we didn't know mom died as well I only learn after coming back" to which Hiruzen thought it is good Idea and said " Well that is certainly good idea but before that he brought out a paper and fill it up" after filling it up he said " Well Naruto sign here" to which Naruto take the paper and read it and much to his surprise it was an adoption paper as he look up Hiruzen said " I know you want to help Naruko and you are from the same clan so why not adopt her she will have a family she so desire" to which Naruto smiled and nod his head and sign the document. After that Hiruzen said " Okay now that is out of the way lets go to Academy where you can take Genin exam" to which Naruto nodded after that Hiruzen turned towards Itachi and Shisui and said " Itachi Shisui after passing Naruto is going to be in your care so teach him about elemental jutsu, genjutsu, and use of Rinnegan also try to help him make jutsu for his subelemental bloodline so that he can eliminate his weakness and became strong enough to reach his goal as well as became the clan head when it will be the time to reintroduce Uzumaki clan with him being the leader" to which both uchiha nodded and said " Hai hokage sama"
After that Hiruzen take Naruto to the academy where Naruto took genin exam and pass with flying colour then both Naruto and Hiruzen go towards Narukos apartment. Reaching there Hiruzen knock on the door which opened by Naruko who seeing them smiled brightly and said " Hello jiji, Naruto kun" to which both of them smiled and said " Hello Naruko chan can we come in" to which Narukop nod her head and assure them in.
After entering the apartment Hiruzen look towards Naruko and said " Well Naruko chan it's look like you have a family member left as you see Naruto kun here is from the same clan as you" to which Naruko's eyes widen as she look at Naruto who nod his head and in next second a Yellow and orange blur tackle him to the ground as she look down she saw Naruko is crying while saying " I have a family" over and over again to which Naruto caress her head and said "it's alright".
After sometime Naruko release Naruto as both of them stand up and Naruto said " Umm jiji can you give me some book on fuinjutsu as it will make no sense if I don't know Fuinjutsu despite being an Uzumaki" to which Hiruzen sighed and nodded though Naruko is curious what fuin jutsu is but decided to ask later with that being said Hiruzen stood up and left the uzumaki siblings though before he left Naruto told him the secreat of beating paper work to which Hiruzen cried and thanked Naruto profusely with the promise to give a Clan compound in clan district for his clan to which Naruto sweat dropped but glad he didn't have to think about the clan compound as it was taken care of. And now he can move towards his goal and help his sister to achieve her goal as well teach her everything he knows. With that thought in mind Naruto said good night to his sister and sleep on the couch.
