"Excuse me?, how dare you say that. I'm sorry Conner but my brother died three months ago on an island!" Makenna stated harsly.
"No Kenna he didn't" Jason interuppted. "Kenna Tommy is indeed alive."
Makenna looked at him with fire in her eyes. "What are you talking about!? Wait, now it makes sense. It was really you in that house we found those stones in."
Jason nodded in shame. "Yes. That was Tommy's house."
"Makenna" Conner stepped in. "Please help us. Mesogog has taken him and we need your help. He wanted you to help. left us a vide diary if anything happened to him. We know his past and about you and how your his sister. Please come to our base and hear us out"
Makenna felt the tears fill her eyes but the betrayal was fresh. "Okay i will help but after this i am going back home, back home to Angel Grove. A place where there is no evil anymore as i will be no part of this ranger crusade."
Conner and Jason shared a look as they headed towards Conner's car. The drive was short and silent. Once they arrived they walked into the dino lab.
"Jason, thank you for coming" Hayley spoke with a light smile. "Makenna nice to see you".
"You know each other?" Ethan questioned.
"We do. I met her when i thought Tommy had died". Hayley answered him. "Makenna i am so sorry we kept this. From you".
"Well I'm waiting for you to tell me the trurh". The anger in Makenna's voice rumbled.
Jason went to stand behind Hayley. "Tommy didn't die as a result of an accident on the island. The island was attacked but a foe name Mesogog." Jason started. "Mesogog found out that he had found the dino gems so he destroyed the island to get to Tommy and the gems."
Hayley began to tell her side. "Tommy escaped the island as it was destroyed. The day of his "Funeral" i spotted him in the distance. He told me to hide the secret because he didn't want you involved in this again after what you went through in Blue Bay".
Jason squeezed her shoulder as the grief caused Hayley to cry. "Makenna you went through so much he didn't want you to get hurt or worse. He knew the sacrifice you made in Blue Bay almost killed you."
Makenna rubbed her arms as she fell into a nearby chair. "H-how?. Her voice cracking. "How does he know?"
"He was there" Jason told her. "He watched as you sealed your powers in that gem."
Thats when it hit her. That day with Hunter she saw a light in the shape of a bird.
"Your animal spirits are connected. He felt all the pain you went through so he sent his falcon to watch over you". Jason fnished. "Please Makenna help these new rangers, help them get him back, get your brother back"
Hayley walked over handing her the newly formed dino bracelet with her gem on top. "This belongs to you"
Makenna took the bracelet. She felt the warmth go through her body as it glowed brightly. The roar from the relic inside waiting to be freed. As she slipped it onto her wrist the other three rangers stood beside her.
"What's inside it?" Kira asked.
"You'll see when the time comes". Makenna replied with a light grin. "I promise i will tell you my story but first we Tommy back. Hayley where is he?"
"He was in Mesogog's lair but they have moved him to a cave south of here." Hayley replied. "I showed the other their there bikes but i get the sense you don't need one".
Makenna walked over to her. "I don't. I never thought i would unseal these powers again"
Makenna walked over to her three teammates. "I know we just met but i hope you can learn to trust me"
"We do" Conner assured her as Kira and Ethan nodded.
Jason and Hayley watched as the four of them ran out. Jason felt how angry she was with him. The betrayal in her eyes. "She's going to hate me after this."
"Do you really think she will leave?"
"I do, Makenna always means what she says its one thing i admire about her but the anger she has in her now will overtake her and I'm afraid it will get her hurt even worse." Jason spoke in a whisper. "She was so innocent when i first met her but as she leanred our identities she wanted to do anything to help us in any way she could. Tommy became her hero but now things are different. Hiding this broke her trust she had in me."
Hayley touched his shoulder.
"When she sees Tommy alive I'm afraid the bond they have may break". Jason finished.
Meanwhile in a nearby cave Tommy groaned as he arms were numb from hanging from the ceiling. Ropes digging into his wrists. He managed to lift his head as Zeltrax entered turning off the life force extractor.
"Break this stone Dr, Oliver and we will spare the life of your rangers." He told him as he circled around Tommy.
"Never, They don't belong to you. As for that stone i am just a teacher i don't know how" Tommy shot back.
"Fine have it yout way" Else grumbled as she turned the extractor back on.
Tommy's head fell to his chest.
Makenna growled as she saw her brother being hurt. "Conner you guys get the tin head. I got the drones"
"But you can't them all alone" Kira tried.
"Trust me i can" Makenna told her. "Go, i will get Tommy out of there."
"Be careful" Ethan told her as the three dino rangers ran towards Zeltrax.
Makenna sucked in a breath. "Okay i can do this. Fire Ranger! Power Up!" Makernna felt her body power up as her suit appeared. Her suit was like Kira's only it was orange with a white stripe down each arm. Her helmet was orange with a white stripe down the middle.
"Feels good to be back".
"Welcome back young Makenna. I will be here to aid you". The voice of the relic sounded in her head.
"Thanks Malec." Makenna whispered as she rean towards the drones. "Hey creeps back off".
Two drones charged but she dodged out of the way. She landed a kick to the third.
"Okay time to end this!. By the power of fire i summon thee. Rain of fire descend!" She yelled. The ramgers stood in awe as boulders covered in flames began to fall from the skies hitting the drones one by one.
"Wow!" Kira cheered.
"Awesome!" Ethan yelled as he punched a drone away.
Conner dodged as Zeltrax swung his sword. Conner groaned as he suffered a hard kick to the stomach.
Makenna made a fist. She slammed it into the ground causing a wave of flames to charge at Zeltrax sending him back. "Hot enough for ya?"
"Blasted rangers1" Zeltrax growled.
"Makenna go! Get Dr.O!" Conner yelled.
Makenne ran towards the cave and powered down. She ran to her brother. "Tommy! Come on wake up!" She tapped his cheeks.
Conner and the others joined as Kira used her saber to cut him down. Tne others powered down.
Tommy groaned as he began to stir.
"Are you okay?" Makenna asked him wiping the dried blood from his cheek knowing it was from when they grabbed him. Her heart began to beat harder as he emotions began to come to the surface and she was reuntied with her brother who she thought was gone.
"Kenny?" He whispered.
"Hey you big goof". She replied with a smile. She wasted no time running into his arms. "God i can't believe your here!" She sobbed as he gripped her tight.
"We should get back" Kira cut in quietly.
One they got back to the house Tommy went to shower to clean the dirt off his face. The others went home but Jason stayed in the lab with Hayley.
Makenna sat on the back porch. Her mind was race as she was still feeling her blood boil. She also knew they needed to talk.
"Hey" Tommy spoke from the door.
Makenna stood up before he could get a word in. She did something she never thought she would do. She brought her hand up and punched her brother in the left cheek causing another cut to appear. "How could you? Her voice nothing but a whisper. "I mourned you for three months!. To make this worse you made Jason lie to me!" She started to punch his chest. "I hate you for this!" She kept hitting him until he finally grabbed her around the shoulders so she couldn't move.
Tommy felt her body convulse as she sobbed her heart out/ After a moment Tommy pulled her face and cupped her cheeks. "I know and believe me when i saw it was the hardelt thing i ever had to do. I'm sorry Kenna"
"Its not good enough." She seethed. "Coming to Reefside was the worst decision i have ever made."
"Kenna please can we just talk about this?" Tommy tried as she began to walked inside.
"I have nothing to say. You clearly didn't think about me when you betrayed your own sister. Be safe Tommy." Makenna slipped her dino bracelet off her wrist letting it drop to the floor. "Since you never wanted to tell me all of this then i clearly don't belong on this team."
Makenna slipped out the front door and began to walk to her home. Once she got home she stormed inside and to her room.
She pulled out a duffle bag and wrote a note to Jason then headed to the bus station. She was going back home. Home, to Angel Grove.
Back at Tommy's house Jason walked up from the lab to find his best friend sitting on the couch with his head in his hands.
Jason went at sat next to him. "I take it from the yelling it didn't go well".
"No. I have never heard her say she hated me". Tommy told him. "She was so relieved to see me but now her walls are up. I messed up man".
"We both did."
"Jase how do i fix this?"
Jason sighed. "I don't know. Look get some rest okay, let me see if she is a my house."
"Okay"
Jason patted Tommy's shoulder and left to go home. He prayed she was still there. Once he parked his heart sank, all of the lights were off. He walked inside. "Kenna!?. No answer. "Kenna?!" Silence.
Jason sighed as he entered his kitchen. His eyes landing on a piece of paper. He swallowed hard as he began to read it.

If your reading this then you know i am gone back home. The hurt i feel right now is causing me not to be able to even look at you. When i see you i don't see you as the brother figure i love, instead i see the face of a liar. I am going home. I don't know for how long. Hopefully one day i will forgive you and Tommy but for now all i have inside is hate.

Jason crumbled the note and threw it in the trash in frustration. He had no idea what to do next. Jason went to grab a shower. He knew he wouldn't sleep tonight.
