Birds chirpped as morning was full swing in Angel Grove. Makenna climbed out of bed that she slept in. Once she got to Angel Grove she went to her first ever home since she still had the keys. She went to shower and get dressed.

Makenna wore an orange tank with blue jeans. Once she ate her breakfast she decided she needed to only one place. To visit her mom.

Makenna sighed sadly as she walked towards the graveyard. She smiled as she saw kids in the playground. She looked as a red ball hit her foot.

"I'm sorry" A little girl spoke running up to her.

"Its alright, here". Makenna passed her the ball. "Oh are you alright, you knee is bleeding"

The little girl looked down. "Yeah i tripped earlier but my brother thinks it was his fault. I told him it wasn't."

"Older or younger?"

"Older, i am 6 he is 8." The girl told Makenna. "He threw the ball too hard and i fell, i know he didn't mean it."

Makenna swalloed hard. "I'm sure he didn't. I have a big brother to and he always looked out for me to".

"Everyone makes mistakes. I better go. Thank you for catching my ball" With that the girl ran off.

Makenna blew out a breath. She kept walking until she came to the graveyard gate. As she got closer to her Mom's grave she noticed a woman. "Who are you?"

The woman stood up and turned around. Kimberly Hart turned to face the teen.

"Kim?"

"Hey Makenna, sorry i was in the area."

"Did you know i was here in Angel Grove?"

Kim shook her head as Makenna closed the distance. "No. Look i am not here to fight okay."

Makenna relaxed a little. "Look i just came to visit my Mom alright. I am not here to fight either."

Kim noticed a tear rolling down her cheek. "Kenna what's wrong?"

"Its nothing alright. Please just leaveme alone". Makenna tried to push passed her but she felt Kim's hand on her arm. "Kim please" Her voice shook. Despite her hate for the older woman she gave in.

"Makenna i know how much you hate me but i think its time we talk. Please come with me". Kim took her hand and led her to a grave under a tree.

"I don't understand." Makenna whispered. "Daughter?"

Kim wiped tears away. "This is why".Kim knelt down to wipe leaves away. "Kenna this is why i wrote the letter. I couldn't handle coming back after what happened down there. Please just let me tell you what you didn't want to hear".

Makenna sighed. She remembered how broken Tommy was after Kim left him. She remembered watching her brother come hom crying. At the time she was just a kid but she would stay and just hug him. She hated Kim for what she did. "Fine"

Kim sat in the grass as Makenna sat next to her. "Kenna when i left to go to Florida it was the hardest thing i ever had to do. Not long after i found out i was pregnant. When i became 7 months along i went into early labour so i was rushed to the hospital." Kim wiped her eyes as tears poured out. "The ambulance i was in was hit. Kenna i miscarried."

Makenna took in every word. "Why the letter,? why leave Tommy? why not just tell him1?"

"Believe me i wanted to. Kenna it killed me not to call but things were bad here. I knew Tommy would get hurt as a ranger to if he got distracted so i took the cowards way out."

"Does he know now?"

Kim nodded. "He does, he has for a long time. I told him when he rescued me and Jason from Divatox."

"Wow. He never once told me, another reason to be angry with him i guess".

"Another?"

Makenna picked at her shoelance. "Yeah Tommy is alive and well. I mourned him for three months only to learn yesterday he was alive and it was kept from me. Tell me Kim how am i supposed to forgive him for that?!."

"Just like you forgave me for throwing you over a cliff". Tommy's voice rang out as his power of invisiblity faded. "I didn't tell you because of what happened back then. I couldn't watch Mesogog do something to you through me like Mondo did"

There it was, the ttruth. Tommy sat down next to the two woman on the grass.

"Makenna that day has haunted me everyday. The look on your face when i grabbed you by your neck, you begging for me to stop". Tommy began. "I watched you roll down all those rocks, i watched Adam run down to get you and there was nothing i could do".

"Tommy" She whispered as she went to sit in front of him. "I thought you were past this. Its been years since it happened."

"Its something you never forget. Its a part of why i wanted to give up my Turbo powers so quick. Because if i did i knew you would be safer. Its why i wanted to shield you from all of the evil in the world. I thought if i kept you away then for once a menace like Mesogog wouldn't find out about you".He finished.

Makenna felt her heart break knowing her protector, her hero, her big brother had been keeping this huge weight on his shoulders on this time. Even though he was under spell she understood from Zordon it wasn't him doing it, it was the spell.

Tommy pulled his sister to her feet. "I would do anything to take the hurt away that i caused you."

"I know. I'm sorry to. I'm sorry i left you. I should have let you explain. Tommy you have to understand that i am not that little girl anymore. You can talk to me about anything."

Tommy nodded as he wrapped her tightly in his arms.

Kim watched the two.

"I love you so much Kernna." Tommy whispered in her ear. "Please come back with me"

Makenna pulled away. "Tommy i don't know if i can do this. Blue Bay changed me, changed how i felt about be a ranger."

"What would Zordon say?" Kim spoke coming up to her. "If he knew"

Makenna crossed her arms. "He would say use it as strength and not weakness"

"Kenna i don't know what you went through but he would never judge you if he was still here." Kim assured her. "You can always talk to me if you need to"

"Kenna you were Ryan's ear when he needed someone, maybe its time we be your ears." Tommy told her kissed her head.

"Someday. I will leave you two alone meet you at the car." Makenna began to walk to the car when she heard Kim mutter something.

"I wish she would stay away from Ryan, he hurt her". Kim muttered.

Makenna turned around. "What did you just say?" As her phone began to ring but she ignored it. "Kim i swear to God you better speak1"

"I said you should stay away from Ryan". Kim ansswered.

"You have no right to say that!" She snapped as her phone rang again. "You have no right to say he hurt me, he would never!"

Tommy got between the two. "Easy Kenna".

"No? Kenna he mearly burned you alive!" Kim shouted.

"Kenna take a walk now!" Tommy snarled.

Kanna pushed Kim to the ground. "If i ever hear you say one more bad thing about him i swear i will burn that face of yours off and trust me thats a promise". Kenna growled as she walked to Tommy's jeep. She finally pulled out her phone. "What!?"

"Kenna?"

"Dana?"

"Kenna something happened, Kenna Ryan's been hurt and i need you to come to Mariner Bay. Makenna its bad so please come" Dana's voice broke.

"I'm on my way". Makenna hung up her phone and began to shake. She felt her knees give out byt two strong arms grabbed her.

"Kenna? Hey what's wrong? Who was on the phone?"

She gipped her brother's shoulders. "Um, Ryan- Ryan's hurt" She croaked out.

"Get in the jeep" He told her.

"I can get there in seconds, i can ninja streak". She told him.

After she was gone Tommy turned to face Kim. "Get in the jeep your about to get a rude awakening on how close those two really are. Kim maybe if you understood their bond you would listen to how Kenna and Ryan really met".

Mariner Bay...

Makenna skidded to a stop and ran inside the hospital. She pushed passed the nurses. She ran towards Dana in the waiting area and ran into her arms. "Please is he okay? What happened?"

Dana led her to the chairs. "He and Carter were on a call. When they got outside a woman came up and told him her daiughter was inside. Ryan ran in, Kenna the house fell on top of him" Dana cried out. "He has four broken ribs, a broken leg. He has swelling on his brain."

"No, no, no no". Makenna cried out. Makenna hugged into Dana like her life depended on it.

"Dana" Her fther spoke. "He's out of surgery."

"Please Will is he okay?" Kenna begged.

Will cupped her cheeks. "Makenna, sweetheart he is in critical condition." Will Mitchell took the heartbroken girl into his arms. "Come on lets go see him".

He led her to Ryan's room. Makenna froze in her spot as she saw Ryan laying there hooked up to machines. She closed her eyes as the machine was breathing for him. She began to walk to his bed and crawled in it next to him.

"Please don't leave me" She begged as she curled into his side. "Please"

Dana wiped her own tears as she noticed Tommy enter the waiting room.

"Dana"/ Tommy greeted her with a hug. "How is he?"

"Not good, wait, what is she doing here?" Dana growled noticing Kim. "You don't belong here, i would ask you to leave but maybe its time you see what we all see when it comes to Kenny and Ryan."

Dana grabbed Kim by the hand and brought her to the door of Ryan's room. "See that?" Dana pointed to Kenna and how she was laying next to Ryan. "If that's not love then i don't know what is. If that was Kenna in that bed it would be Ryan by her side!"

They all walked inside. Tommy walked over to see his sister asleep. He walked over and grabbed a blanket from a vacant bed and covered her.

Kim didn't know how to react or how to feel. Ever since Makenna got hurt in Mariner Bay and when she said the Titanium Ranger was there all she could feel was anger towards him. She always saw Ryan as a threat.

"I have to go make a call" Tommy informed as he excused himself.

"I better to check on Carter and the baby." Dana spoke followung him.

Kim watched Kenna sleep silently.

"Miss Hart" Will spoke entering the room. He waked over to his son placing a hand on his head and placing the other on Kenna's back. "I understand you see my son as a threat. I assure you he is no threat. I assure you that Ryan cares for Kenna like he cares for Dana."

"With all due respect sir he hurt her". Kim tried.

"Ah, thats all you see isn't it. She never told you the story. Miss Hart the girl you see before you brought my son back to our family when he wanted to leave. Makenna once told me that her mentor told her she would get a chance to help a ranger in need and she did. Kenna is like a daughter to me and always will be. You Miss Hart need to open your eyes and stop seeing what evil does to people but start to see the good that can come out of it" Will told Kim. He excused himself and went to get coffee.

Kim felt shame as emotions washed over her. She looked up as Tommy touched her shoulder.

"She really loves him don't she?"

"Indeed. See not all evil in the world is the same. Yes there are spells from monsters but sometimes influence from evil is just as harsh. Kim when it came to me i was under a spell as the green ranger. Ryan was just influenced, he was conflicted and confused. When Makenna was in Mariner Bay with her school she got caught up in it." Tommy replied.

"Do you think she will ever tell me?" Kim asked.

Tommy looked towards his sleeping sister. "She will, but Kim you need to listen. The thingi don't understand is why he just ran in with no gear."

Kim and Tommy shared a look. She looked down as she felt his hand take hers. Kim grinned a little.

"Ranger again huh?" She fingered the black gem.

Tommy laughed. "Yeah. Doesn't want to let me retire. The three rangers that found the gems are great, they may have a lot to learn but i hope Makenna is able to help me."

Dana walked into the room. "Carter has to go out to a call so i need to go home with the baby. Tommy i want Makenna to come with me so she can sleep in the spare room. Dad is going to stay the night here."

Tommy went over. "Kenna"

"Hmm?" She mumbled.

"Come on kiddo, Dana is going to bring you to her house so you can get some rest okay"

Kenna wiped her eyes. "But what is something happens."

"Kenny Dad is going to stay here and i promise if something changes he will let us know but for now you need food." Dana urged her.

Makenna gave in. She kissed Ryan's cheek and got off the bed.

"I'll see you later okay". Tommy assued her.

Makenna nodded sadly as she followed Dana out of the hospital. Once Dana got home she led Makenna inside where Carter was waiting.

Carter greeted Makenna but she just went and sat on the couch in silence. "How is she? How is Ryan? He asked his wife as he handed her the baby.

"She's scared. Ryan hasn't woken up yet. They are lowering his sedation to see how it goes. Carter please be safe tonight."

"I will". He kissed his wife and left the house in silence.

Dana sighed as she held her baby girl. She went to put her baby in her crib.

"Don't worry sweetie your goofy uncle will be just fine". Dana whispered as she left the room. Dana closed the door. She knew she had to be strong now for her family as hard as it was going to be.
