Set a year or two after the movie takes place. Chiju finds herself in an unexpected predicament. She was settled in a town and soon became their main healer, though she was only going to stay for a few weeks. Kotaro brings in an injured Nanashi to Chiju, and soon the past starts to catch up with her.

Kotaro and Nanashi have escaped to take shelter in a completely new village for the time being.Times are tough but Nanashi has assured them that they will always be together. Kotaro wants to learn so much from Nanashi so what will happen when he grows up a bit? Feelings for his savior? And what will happen when the old man's brother comes for revenge from Nanashi? Haunted by his past, and still healing from his wounds, Nanashi once again journeys forward with his main goal to protect Kotaro. But when the two come across a mysterious girl, trouble seems to find them.
