The Trolls were gathered in a circle, deeply engrossed in a game of Troll, Troll, Bergen. Smidge moved around the group, her voice loud and energetic. "Troll, Troll, Troll, Troll..." Smidge called out, circling her friends.
Holly raised an eyebrow. "Dang. Is it normal in Troll, Troll, Bergen to go 20 minutes without pickin' a Bergen?"
"No," Poppy replied with a grin. "But this is Troll, Troll, Bergen Deluxe."
Smidge suddenly tapped Holly. "Troll, Troll, Bergen!"
Holly sprang up, excited. "Woo-hoo!" She and Smidge dashed around, leaping over obstacles. Smidge eventually tripped and fell but managed to land safely.
"Oh, my Guh! Safe!" Smidge exclaimed.
The Trolls cheered as Holly grinned. "All right, I'm it, y'all!" She began circling the group. "Troll, Troll, Troll, Tro-" Her hand brushed against Poppy's hair, and she froze mid-step. "Oh! My stars! Poppy, your hair!"
Poppy blinked in confusion. "Um, what about my-"
Holly hushed her. "Shh, shh, shh!" She ran her hands through Poppy's hair, marveling at it. "The texture. The body. Ooh! The follicle integrity! Oh, Poppy, when it comes to hair stylin', I consider myself a bit of an amateur professional. Will you let me do your hair?"
Poppy grabbed her calendar. "Let me check. Hm. No, doesn't look like I'm scheduled to turn down the greatest idea I've ever heard! So, yes!"
Holly's eyes sparkled. "Ha-ha! Well, then buckle up, girl!" She spun Poppy around until she landed in a chair. "'Cause we're about to put some woo-hoo in that 'do!"
When Holly was finished, Poppy looked at herself in a mirror. Her hair had been transformed into a massive, towering style. "So, what do ya think?" Holly asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Poppy stared up at the colossal hairstyle. "Wow! I mean, it's so... big!"
"Oh, I know! Bigger than a Country Troll mile!" Holly beamed, handing Poppy a mirror. "Don't you love it?!"
A small bird landed in Poppy's hair. She forced a smile. "Holly, I... love it!"
Later, Poppy nervously approached Branch, her giant hair wobbling precariously. Floyd was already there, chatting with Branch.
"Whoa," Floyd said, eyeing her hair. "Let me guess, Holly styled your hair?"
"How did you know?" Poppy asked.
"Holly did the same thing to me." Floyd stated.
Branch smirked. "You don't love it, do you?"
Poppy sighed, collapsing onto Branch. "Oh... not exactly! What I loved was the bonding time with Holly. But the hair... it's just so big!"
Branch popped out of the hair like a gopher. "Then style it the way you want. Problem solved."
Poppy sat up. "You mean undo Holly's do? No way! That would crush her."
Floyd chuckled. "Or worse, she'd hit you with one of her infamous guilt trips."
"Guilt trip?" Poppy asked, confused.
Floyd nodded. "Holly's a master at it. She once told me, 'I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.' I still can't look her in the eye."
Determined, Poppy exclaimed, "There won't be any guilt trips today! I'll learn to love this hair."
Floyd raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, good luck with that."
Poppy's giant hair caused chaos wherever she went. She toppled tables, blocked views, and accidentally crushed mushrooms. Eventually, she returned to Branch and Floyd, exhausted. "OK! My hair is just too big!" she wailed.
Branch looked at her. "So, you're gonna get it styled the way you want and just tell Holly it was too big?"
"Absolutely not," Poppy declared.
Floyd shook his head. "Here we go."
Poppy hatched a plan to stage a freak accident involving a hair-eating Crunch Clover. Branch reluctantly helped, throwing banana cupcakes to make Poppy slip. After numerous failed attempts, Poppy's hair finally got caught in the plant's mouth. "We did it!" Poppy cheered, throwing her hands up.
Later, Poppy approached Holly. "And then the plant chomped the whole hairdo right off! So, you see, Holly, that's why my hair is back to normal."
Holly's eyes widened. "Oh, no! Poppy, that... that's just awful. You loved that big hair!"
Poppy hesitated. "It was... very big."
Holly nodded solemnly. "Don't you worry. This ain't your fault. It's the fault of whoever discarded that banana cupcake! And I'm gonna find 'em."
"Wait, what?!" Poppy shouted, chasing after her.
At Branch's bunker, Floyd and Branch were just hanging out when Poppy came in all frantic. She tried to get them Holly confronted Branch. "What? Poppy, who's coming?" Branch asked, bewildered.
Before Poppy could answer, the elevator doors opened again, and Holly stepped out with a fiery determination, Floyd trailing behind her looking slightly apprehensive.
"Holly, what..." Floyd began.
"I see you've packed yourself a bag, Branch. Fittin', seein' as you're about to go on... a trip," Holly interrupted, her voice sharp.
Floyd and Poppy tried to get Holly to stop but she didn't listen. Holly's focus remained on Branch. "Tell me, Branch. Do you have any idea how long it takes to get really big hair?"
Branch blinked, struggling for words. "Uh... I...I mean..."
"Course you don't. You're too busy havin' yourself a good ol' time, droppin' cupcakes for Trolls to slip on, to even consider the commitment it takes to get really, really big hair."
Her glare intensified, and Branch stumbled back, overwhelmed.
"Holly, I—" Poppy tried again, but Holly cut her off.
"Poppy loved that hair, Branch. Poppy, tell him how much you loved that hair."
"I..." Poppy hesitated, looking between Holly and Branch.
"She loved that hair! And after years of bein' nothin' but a good friend, you repay her by takin' that away?!" Holly exclaimed, her voice rising. Branch tripped over a table and landed on the floor.
"Oh! Ugh! The guilt! So intense!" Branch groaned dramatically.
"Why didn't you love the hair, Branch? Why?!" Holly loomed over him, her expression fierce.
"Aah! I'm sorry that I made you mad!" Branch blurted out.
"Holly, maybe we should just let him..." Floyd interjected, but Holly ignored him.
"Oh, Branch honey."
Branch looked up at her, confused. "Huh?!"
"I'm just disappoint..."
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Poppy shouted, stepping between them.
"No?" Holly asked, raising an eyebrow.
Poppy sighed heavily. "I told Branch to drop that cupcake. So that I would slip on it."
Holly gasped, and Floyd raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Poppy? The architect of your do's undoin'? But... but why?"
"Because... I didn't like the hair," Poppy admitted, looking sheepish.
"You didn't like it?" Holly's voice trembled with disbelief.
"Sorry, Holly. It was just too big, and I didn't want to hurt your feelings. But now I realize that's silly. I mean, we're good friends. And when good friends tell the truth, it doesn't hurt their feelings."
Holly's face softened, though her tone remained firm. "Well, actually, it does hurt my feelings. Real bad."
"Oh," Poppy said, her face falling.
"But, Poppy girl, sometimes feelings get hurt. I'll get over that. It's your hair. You're entitled to style it however you please."
"Huh. Thanks, Holly. And yeah, I can style it however I please!" Poppy exclaimed, her excitement returning. "Maybe I'll get a mohawk!"
"Ooh, yeah. As an amateur professional, I'm gonna have to veto on that one," Holly replied with a laugh. Poppy joined in, and the tension eased.
Meanwhile, Branch lay on the ground, shivering dramatically. "It's so cold... it's so cold..."
Floyd rushed to Branch's side and hugged him tight. He whispered sweet brotherly things to help get him out of Holly's guilt trip. Holly felt guilty for doing her guilt trap on her friends' brother. "Tell you what: I'm gonna find some way to make it up to ya both," Holly said brightly.
Later, Holly styled Branch's hair into an enormous tower. "So, what do you think?"
Branch looked up at the towering hairstyle. "Holly, I love it!" A bird landed on his hair, causing him and Poppy to roll away.
As they disappeared into the distance, Floyd chuckled. "Now that's what I call a hair-raising experience."
Holly then added some highlights to Floyd's hair to make him look cool and fun. "Well, you like it?" Holly asked.
"This is amazing. Thanks Holly."
"So we good now?"
"Yeah." Floyd said, "We're good."
