CHAPTER 9: LONG AWAITED BATTLE
Jiraiya headed out on his own, leaving his student and his students "Cheerleaders" behind. 'I can't bring those three into this, It's too risky.' He had to keep moving. Maybe, just maybe he could catch Tsunade before she met with Orochimaru.
What was once an ample jog became a strong stride. 'Faster' he thought while running, "faster" he whispered. He continued on until he saw them, his teammates. The people who fought with, his first friends, fighting. Katsuya vs Manda, healer vs killer, friend vs friend, TSUNADE VS OROCHIMARU!
He jumped in, thumb bitten, summoning summoned. "GAMABUNTA!" Jiraiya yelled. Gamabunta's pipe was burning, ash falling to the ground. Toad oil and fire mix, interrupting the fight between the other two Sannin.
"So, our third arrives at last," spoke Orochimaru
"And, most certainly not least!" Jiraiya told his contemporaries.
The lines were drawn, Jiraiya would never swing on his sweet blond, and Orochimaru was; meaning Jiraiya knew who to swing on. The battle was legendary, filled with the biggest creatures, the hottest flames, the most deadly poison, and the most flamboyant characters.
The battle remained like this, a stalemate until Kabuto revealed himself. Jumping from the bushes, a bucket of cows' blood in his hands, he drenched Tsunade. Frozen, the strongest kunoichi in the world stood frozen. Blood, not her own, dripped down her face. There she stood, unable to move as Kabuto approached with his scalpel sharpened with years of experience. The weapon drawn, the young man struck.
"Mind-body switch jutsu" Ino screamed as she switched with Tsunade, and barely jumped out of the way. Blood is drawn as the scalpal scratches Tsunade's face. Ino switches back as Naruto jumps in.
His hands at the ready, Kabuto strikes at Naruto. Angry hands, hands filled with pain from long ago. That doesn't matter now, maybe later, not now. Naruto reacts, jumping back and throwing kunai. Kabuto grabs one and charges at the younger shinobi. Charging forward he stabs at Naruto, who blocks with his hand. With his one free hand, Naruto formed shadow clones, who shaped the chakra in the real Naruto's hand. Naruto lunges forward and yells out, "RASENGAN!".
Kabuto fell back, stomach eaten by the spherical jutsu. Tsunade inched forward. Crying, she began to heal Naruto's hand. "Stupid kid" she sobbed as she stared beyond the blood. The only thing she could think of was saving the young boy who had just proven her wrong. After applying the basic medical ninjutsu she took off her necklace, put it on Naruto, kissed his forehead, and said "I am glad I was wrong about you. You will be a great Hokage, after me of course." Suddenly Kabuto jumped up and ran off grabbing Orochimaru with him. Away from the battle; "Naruto.." Ino cried, "I am so sorry I couldn't help more."
DEATH VISITS GUY 4
Hiashi, having ruined Guy's image in his eyes, still lusted for revenge. The irreparable damage to his career could never be undone. The anger of Hiashi could never be extinguished. After a night of unparalleled drinking, he headed toward the hospital. The night was dead quiet. A mouse's scurry could be heard on the other side of the building. Busting down the door, Hiashi's noise could be heard in every room.
The halls were black with envy of the light in Lee's room. The lamp was burning with fury. Flickering with its last dying breaths. After being left on for weeks, always flickering. Lee could never sleep with the lights off. The dark was unwelcoming, shunning its visitors. The light welcomed you in its warmth, or that's how Lee put it.
A tiger pounces when its prey no longer feels threatened. Always unassuming, never loud, and always sudden. Hiashi knelt outside the young boy's door, note in hand. He hadn't fought in years, but a weak opponent would be easy. The light flickered, Hiashi stood. The light dims, he walks forward. The light dies, Lee fades. Such a simple task. The letter was simple;
Can't stand this anymore, so hard
Boy shouldn't suffer
I'm sorry Lee
-Might Guy

He had done it. The boy's light is extinguished. Guy would break, maybe even do the deed on his own. Hiashi had saved his skin by breaking Lee's.
Down the hall was a darker room. Its contents were just a single man and his picture. The picture was of a white-haired man, two pouting boys, and one cheery girl. That one boy, the one in orange; he knew that boy. He was a prospect for his daughter. That girl; she was one of the girls he was "watching over". Two causes of his misery in one picture. Gentle fists are just glorified slaps. Slaps that burn. Slaps that cut off chakra. Slaps that can extinguish. Hiashi extinguished. Then, Hiashi wept. Wept with a feeling he'd never felt. His flame, his will of fire, his meaning in life, gone. Finally accepting his reputation was extinguished, he was done. "GOD YOU'RE RIGHT! YOU'RE SO RIGHT! I GIVE UP! HAVE MERCY ON THIS FAILED MAN!" Hiashi's flame was extinguished. The drowning water built up behind his walls crashed through his soul. Hiashi fell, drowned by his ambition and desire; never to desire again. Hardly worth his effort.
