Hey, I know one chapter just vanished, but it's because it doesn't fit with what I'm going to put in next. Because the Chinese New Year is approaching, I can't post as often as usual, but I won't forget this fanfic and will come back to it whenever I have free time. Here's is a peek at the chapter I deleted. It fits with the storyline but doesn't fit when Albus is in two places at once. You can just think of this as background reading, what was happening when Albus was at Hogwarts. P.S. Thanks for all the lovely PMs and reviews! they keep me going.

Chapter: Old Times

Albus could hear voices in the living room. His dad was saying, "You do not want to do this." Then, a familiar drawling voice answered, "How interesting, because I do want to hurt you."

It was the Christmas holidays. The worst one Albus had ever been through.

He crept along the hall and poked his head into the living room. Draco Malfoy and his father were there. They were sizing each other up, preparing to duel.

Then, at the same time, Draco and Harry shouted, "Expelliarmus!" Their wands repelled and broke apart.

Malfoy moved his wand like a whip, "Incarcerous!" Harry dodged the ropes which thudded to the floor and pointed his wand at Malfoy, "Tarantallegra!" Malfoy threw himself out of the way.

"You've been practicing, Draco."

"And you've got sloppy, Potter. Flipendo!" The spell hit Harry, and he was sent twirling through the air.

"Keep up, old man," Malfoy sneered.

"We're the same age," Harry retorted, trying to disarm Malfoy."

"I wear it better," Malfoy replied as he bounced Harry up and down on the table.

"What's going on? I only left this room three minutes ago!"

Albus's mum entered the room through a back door, and Albus hastily withdrew his head from the doorway. A moment later, he heard his mum say dryly, "So, what did I miss?"

Chapter: Relying

Albus sat in the hallway, listening intently. Malfoy said, "I can't talk to him either. Scorpius. Especially since-" His voice broke, "Astoria died. I can't talk about how losing her has affected him. As hard as I try, I can't talk to Scorpius. That's what this is about. You know the power of friendship. I always envied you them, you know - Weasley and Granger. I had-"

"Crabbe and Goyle." Ginny finished the sentence for him.

"Two lunks who wouldn't know one end of a broomstick to another. I know."

Malfoy, looking surprised continued, "You had fun, you know? You liked each other. You had fun. I envied those friendships more than anything else. Being alone - that's so hard, and I was alone. And it sent me to a truly dark place. For a long time. Tom Riddle was also a lonely child. You may not understand tha, but I do - and I think Ginny does too."

"He's right."

"Don't lose the boy," Malfoy continued, "You'll regret it. And so will he. Because he needs you, and Scorpius, whether or not he now knows it.
