CHAPTER 27: BROTHER
After about five months, Naruto noticed something was different about Ino. She was eating more than usual, and had a belly to match. Despite this, Naruto still thought she was pretty. There were other things though, like the mood swings. Just yesterday she went from being disgusted by him to wanting a hug. Naruto thought that was really weird. Since he knew little about women, he needed help. After much thought he decided on asking Fukasaku, the closest thing to a teacher he had left. "Geezer Sage, why is Ino so weird recently?" asked Naruto. "I haven't noticed."
"WHAT?! How couldn't you? She's gotten fat and mean recently!"
"I don't pay much attention to your friends. Go ask my wife,she's closer with her."
"Right."
Naruto went to go talk to Shima, he thought about asking Granny instead, but decided his teacher knew best. "Lady Shima," he asked, "Why is Ino so different right now?". "Surely you've figured it out," said Lady Shima. Naruto asked: "Figured what out?". "Your girlfriend, she's with child." "How?" asked a puzzled Naruto, "We haven't…oh. I remember." Naruto thanked Shima for telling him and rushed out the door with intent on making everything right. Back in her home, Shima talked to herself. "I sure hope i didn't overstep, but he should of figured it out by now. It is really obvious."
After he betrayed the Akatsuki, Itachi planned to hide out in the Land of Grass. It was a low profile area, separate from most of the world with plenty of caves and small villages. These reasons made it a perfect hiding spot for missing-nin. Sasuke used this reasoning to hide there, just as his brother did. The pair ran into each other outside a small little house on the banks of a mighty creek, overshadowed by a forest of mighty oaks.
Sasuke was the first to the home, hiding in the woods behind it. He might have been a missing-nin, but he wasn't a monster. He would wait for the owners to leave so he could steal food and supplies without physically hurting the owner. He was waiting for the owner, when he noticed a diabolical man. A man he swore to kill. Sasuke waited for the man to reach the tree line, preparing to jump on him. Itachi reached the trees as Sasuke struck, throwing a barrage of kunai at his brother.
Itachi activated his Susanoo to block the attack. Itachi appeared surprised as Sasuke suddenly appeared with his sword readied. Sauke struck again, this time with his blade, but Itachi knocked the sword and Sasuke back. Sasuke struck again, this time with a kunai, a attack that Itachi parried in kind. As this battle was commencing, Itachi began to speak. "Think brother, why were you the only one spared. Why was it that you survived while mother and father had to die?" "You tell me that you sick bastard!" replied Sasuke. "It was innocence brother. You knew nothing of the monster the Uchiha Clan was becoming."
"No, you knew nothing!" "I spared you."
"You ruined my LIFE!" Sasuke yelled, kicking Itachi away from him.
"The clan was going to betray the village!"
"Lies!" shouted Sasuke, throwing an easily deflected Kunai at his brother. "
"You know nothing of the lies of the Uchiha and myself! Mother and father died with a smile on their faces!"
"These eyes can see through your lies!" Sasuke shouted as he punched his brother. "They see what even yours can't!"
"I did this so the Uchiha wouldn't destroy the village in war. No one would have survived. I did this for YOU!"
Sasuke couldn't stand what his brother was saying. "Stop it, stop it, STOP IT!" he yelled right before he kicked his brother again.
"The clan was going to destroy the village!"
"Lies!" shouted Sasuke, throwing an easily deflected Kunai at his brother. "
Itachi didn't feel right using Izanami on his brother, but he had run out of options. Plus, Sasuke set himself up by kicking in the same way twice. Though he had to sacrifice Shisui's sharingan, he felt it was for the best.
Unlike his brother, Itachi wasn't going to wait for the home owners. He instead propped his brother on his shoulder, and kicked in the hut's door. He set his brother on the floor and looked around. He recognized that picture hanging on the wall. Slowly, he approached and lifted it from where it hung. "How would this be here?" he asked. The door creaked open and the sight of the figure who walked through caused Itachi to drop the photo. "Mom?!"
Back on Mount Myoboku Naruto ran to Tsunade's tent. "Granny, I have a request." "What is it Naruto?" asked Tsunade. Naruto told her, causing Tsunade to gasp, "You have to ask Ino about that kind of thing. It's not the middle ages, women have rights now." "I know that, I was planning on asking Ino." "Ask me what?" asked a third blond.
