CHAPTER 28: REVELATIONS AND GENESIS
"MOM?!" cried out Itachi, dropping the picture. The woman collapsed to the floor, blood leaking around her. Now Itachi had to deal with two unconscious family members. He put both on separate couches and waited for either to wake up. He hoped Sasuke would do so first, hopefully reformed.
Hours later and Sasuke began to stir. "What, where am I?" asked the younger Uchiha. "You are in the hut by the river in the Land of Grass," answered Itachi, "You were in the genjutsu for over two hours." "Yeah, that was something. No matter what I did I couldn't escape the loop, not until I forgave and understood you," said Sasuke. "Izanami," responded Itachi, "I used Izanami to help you understand." "I just don't get why the clan would betray the leaf like that," said Sasuke, "I always thought the Uchiha were loyal." "They used to be," said a waking Mikoto, "They were until Danzo." "Mom?!" yelled Sasuke, "Itachi, why is she here?" "In all my life I have seen strange things; I find it best to just wait for an explanation, Sasuke." Sasuke stayed quiet, waiting for their mom to explain herself. "Please, go on," said Itachi.
"Right," said Mikoto. "The Uchiha were one of the founding clans of the village, as you know. But, they were never treated in this way. The Senju always had a bigger presence, with all the Hokages being Senju." "I thought only three were," said Sasuke. "I don't know about the current one, but the first through fourth all are related to the Senju." "How were the third and fourth Senju, they have completely different names?" said Sasuke. "The third is by marriage, his wife was one of the more prominent Senju women: Aiko. Aiko was a wonderful woman and was considered Hiruzen's closest advisor. Lord forth was blood related. His mother was Tsunade Senju, but it was a very young pregnancy. Tsunade was only fourteen at Lord Fourth's birth, leaving him up for adoption because she didn't see herself fit to be a mother." "What about Danzo, how did he turn the Uchiha to rebellion?" asked Sasuke. "I can answer this one," said Itachi, "Danzo was the one who forced the Uchiha into police work. He then forced the Uchiha to the outskirts of the village, all in the name of security. He then put Anbu to spy on them. Danzo never trusted the Uchiha, maybe he was right, but his actions all caused the Uchiha to want to rebel. They felt they were pushed into a corner; they didn't like it, so they were going to free themselves of it." "That is right," said Mikoto, "Danzo forced our clan into a corner, but he did it out of fear. He truly wanted to protect the village, but the Uchiha weren't the threat he thought them to be." "And how are you alive mom?" "I'm not sure. After Itachi's murder of our clan I should have been dead, but I woke up in this house three weeks after the clan's death with no memory of being brought here." "Huh," said Sasuke, "That is something." "Mom, we can't stay here!" said Itachi, "The village and the Akatsuki are after both me and Sasuke." "Why are the Akatsuki after me?" "They know I was going to look for you, so they'll look for you to find me. I'll split up from the both of you to lead everyone away." answered Itachi. "You will do no such thing!" ordered Mikoto, "I just got my boys back and I'm not losing either one of you!" "Yes ma'am," answered Itachi, "Where are we going to go then?" "Mount Myoboku."
In said destination, three blonds are in the mist of a wonderful conversation. "Ask me what?" asked Ino. "I was going to find a ring first," said Naruto kneeling down, "but while you're here. Ino you are the most wonderful girl I have ever met, would you please do me the honor of marrying this fool?" Ino started to cry. "A-are you ok?" asked a worried Naruto. "Yes you fool, a thousand times yes!" said Ino between tears of joy. The pair ran toward each other and shared their first kiss as fiances. 'Thank you pervy sage,' thought Naruto, 'I wish you could have been the one to use the lines you gave me.'
"Hey Naruto, what do you think of this: Tsunade you are the most wonderful woman I have ever met, would you please do me the honor of marrying this fool?" "I guess it's good," responded Naruto, "but I don't know if Granny will like it." "Give your master some credit. I know women, especially Tsunade, this will work." "When are you gonna try it?" "When we get back, she'll run into my arms for sure!" said Naruto's grinning master.
Naruto loved that memory, he always wished that Jiraiya could have gotten the ending he always wished for. But, he knew Jiraiya probably never even used that line. Still, he missed his master. Ino started talking, snapping Naruto out of his reminiscing: "We have so much to plan, oh where's the honey moon gonna be? My parents, I have to somehow tell my parents, and Sakura. Sakura is going to be so excited to hear about this!" Ino walked away, fantasizing about how perfect her wedding is going to be.
"You know," said Tsunade to Naruto after Ino walked away, "He did end up using that line." "Oh," said Naruto, "Did it work?" "No, but sometimes I wish it had." They both sat there in silence for a minute. "Granny,"
"Yes Naruto."
"With me going to be a father and husband, I have been wondering about my own parents. Who were they, where did they go, why am I all alone?"
"Naruto I think it's time that I told you your whole story, you are ready now."
The pair spoke for hours, with Naruto asking decent questions and Tsunade giving educated answers. This continued for some time until a lone toad messenger entered the room, "I have a message from lord Fukasaku: friends of yours have reached our mountain. Friends you will have to see for yourself. Hurry."
