Chapter Five: Guardian Angel or Wrecking Ball

Starling City: Danvers Apartment

"The passengers of Flight 237 appear to have a guardian angel," the man on the TV reported "When, what many report to be a female flying form..."

"Oh my God," Kara let out a squeal. After saving the plane she went straight home setting the babysitter free of the two sleeping kids.

"...Rescued them from certain death," the newsman said "Leyna Nguyen is live at the scene."

"Thank you, Rick. Guardian angel or human wrecking ball?"

"What?" Kara's eyes widened as the news woman continued "You try saving a plane for the first time!"

"Oh my god," Kara heard a voice from behind her, she turned around to see Thea standing well she looked high and drunk but she stood there her eyes wide, "It's you." Thea muttered.

Before Kara could get a word out Thea had collapsed, Kara catching her before she fully hit the ground.

Kara had placed Thea in her bedroom while the girl was unconscious, she knew how to handle this situation as Thea has done this before showing up at the apartment drunk, high, or both. She had placed some aspirin and water on the stand next to the bed.

She had never taken the girl home or to a hospital because she knew Thea would get into trouble, so she helper Thea each time and every time she tried to bring up rehab but Thea always shot it down and Kara didn't want to push. She had also texted Oliver from Thea's phone so he wouldn't worry.

While waiting in the living room, she sat in silence worried for Thea. The TV was shut off.

Then her phone rang on the coffee table, her screen lighting up showing Alex's name and face.

Kara picked up.

"Hey Alex."

"You revealed yourself?" Alex immediately asked "What the hell were you thinking?"

Kara flinched slightly at Alex's loud voice, "I have perfect hearing Alex. No need to shout," Kara said firmly.

"Why would you? And that's not even the first time!?" Alex continued to yell "Your going around no suite, no masking, just Kara Danvers saving Oliver and Tommy and now a plane!"

"Yes Alex," Kara said if it was nothing, this was the subject Kara and Alex would always disagree one "I did save Oliver and Tommy wasn't going to listen to them being kidnapped, and yes I didn't save a plane wasn't going to let innocent people die!" she whispered-shouted.

"Kara you can't be doing these things you aren't fully prepared and with this new vigilante there in Starling—"

"I think I can handle a man with bow and arrow," Kara cut Alex off "Alex I'm tired, I just carried a plane, I'll call you back."

"Kara—"

Kara had ended the call before Alex could finish, she laid back on the blanket that sat at the end of her couch.

Queen Mansion

Oliver sat in the living room of the Queen mansion watching the news, it had mentioned Adam Hunt being attacked by a person with a bow and arrow, they called him the Hood.

Then it immediately moved to the plane and the mystery woman saving the plane, along with them trying to make connections to see if it was the same woman who saved Tommy and himself.

And they went to both subjects calling the woman a Guardian Angel and the Hood a vigilante saying it's possibly a good thing with the mystery woman being here around the same time as the Hood.

Oliver looked up at the door waiting to see it open, when he had gotten home he went up to Thea's room to talk with her but she wasn't there so he waited downstairs for her to get back.

That's when his phone lit up;

Thea: Hi Oliver, it's Kara.

Thea: I just wanted to tell you that Thea's here with me so you, your mom, and Walter won't worry.

Oliver smiled at the screen knowing Thea was save and sound with Kara.

Oliver: Thank you.

He shut off the TV going up to his bedroom.

The Next Morning;

Danvers Apartment

Thea had woken up before anyone in the house, she slowly sat up her head pounding, she looked to the side to see the water and aspirin immediately downing the two at the same time.

She got of the bed slowly making her way out the room and into the living room to see Kara asleep on the couch, she might have been high and drunk but she knew what she had saw, Kara was the mystery woman.

Kara had opened her eyes hearing Thea's heartbeat, she sat up to see Thea standing in the entrance between the living room and hallway.

"Thea your up."

"And you have powers," Thea said. Kara opened her mouth but Thea held up a hand silencing her "Don't say I'm crazy or I was too high or took drunk, I know was..." she paused "But I'm not crazy I know what I saw."

Kara let out a sigh, this was another person close to her finding out her secret two days in a row, if Alex wasn't happy about her revealing herself then she wouldn't be happy about this.

That sigh told Thea she was right so she walked over and sat next Kara, "I want an explanation."

Kara nodded, she opened her mouth starting to tell her everything.

"Good morning, National City. Our top story, the only story anyone's talking about," the news was on as Kara exited the elevator "Who is the mystery flying woman who saved the plane? Along with saving Oliver Queen and Tommy Merlyn."

"Are you crazy?" Winn noticed her immediately.

"What are you talking about?" Kara asked, she held Miss Grants coffee in her hand.

"What am I talking about?" Winn repeated "I'm talking about you being on the news carrying a plane."

"Oh..." Kara had no excuse to give Winn, he's been her best friend since High School, he knew about her alien side but she didn't need everyone calling her about her being the woman going around saving people.

"If you're thinking about being like your cousin you need a suite," Winn's face turned into a smile as those words left his mouth "Luckily Cisco and I have been working on something for you."

Kara's eyes widened, she thought he was going to try and talk some sense into her about not doing it, what shocked her even more was that he and Cisco had something already made for her. Winn had asked her permission to tell Cisco about her being alien on the day that he and Cisco had gotten engaged and she gave him her blessing.

"You have a what?" Kara asked.

"We thought you might become like your cousin one day and well..." Winn shrugged "We were right."

"And what if I didn't?" Kara asked.

"Then we would have gave it to Astra," Winn shrugged.

"And if she doesn't become a hero?" Kara raised an eyebrow.

"We sell it." Winn shrugged again nonchalantly.
