Chapter Six: Testing and Courtrooms
—————————
Outside of Starling City:
"Is that the fastest you can go?" Cisco asked Kara through the ear piece.
It had been a week since Supergirl was revealed to the world along with the Hood who was out killing people.
"Are these tests mandatory?" Kara asked, flying around.
"Yes," Winn nodded, he had been helping Kara as her tech support and Cisco helping from time to time when he was in Starling, they were now testing her powers. "I need to know you're in full control of your powers."
"Stamina, strength, speed," Cisco listed off things when Kara flew around again making glass break.
"My best friend just broke the sound barrier," Winn squealed.
Kara soon landed on the ground near them, "Is that all?" Kara asked "Cat wants to go down to that thing Oliver is going at the courthouse and of course as her assistant I have to be there," Kara rolled her eyes.
"Yeah," Cisco nodded.

Starling City: Queen Mansion
Oliver walked into the living room of the Queen mansion as everyone was watching the news. Moira is sitting on the couch with Walter standing behind the couch and Thea standing next to the couch.
"Over the past 15 years, Mr. Redman has withdrawn more than 30 million dollars from the plant's account. Mr. Redman claims refunding the Halcyon pension plan has always been his intent. But sources say Redman was coerced by the vigilante." The news reporter says as a sket of the vigilante pops up "On other news; Supergirl, named by Queen of Social Media Cat Grant, have been having savings and not so good savings," a video of Supergirl appeared showing her doing a good deed then not helping as much.
Oliver extends his arm in disbelief toward the television. "These guys get more air-time than the Kardashians, right?" he said.
Thea stared at him "Five years on an island and you still know who they are."
"I've been catching up. It's nice to see how much our culture has improved while I was away."
"No, the city used to be different. People used to feel safe." Moira said.
"Oh, what's the matter, Mom? Afraid we're gonna be next?" Thea asked.
"Do you have any questions about today, Oliver? It's a simple proof-of-life declaration," Walter asks as Moira stands up and Walter straightens his suit jacket. "Just read out a brief, prepared statement to the judge, and then your death-in-absentia judgment will be voided," he added
"It's fine, Walter," Oliver replied, "I've been in a courtroom before," he told Walter as Tommy entered the room.
"Four times by my estimate. You know, there was the DUI, the assault on that paparazzi douchebag, stealing that taxi, which was just awesome, by the way, and who could forget peeing on the cop?" Tommy listed off the things Olivier had done before the island and some before Kara.
"I wish everyone would," Moira sighed.
"I'd hang, but we're headed to court." Oliver told Tommy.
"I know, that's why I'm here," Tommy said "My best friend is getting legally resurrected, I wouldn't miss this for the world." He smiled.

Starling City: Outside Courthouse
The Queen car pulled up to the courthouse everyone steps out and is instantly swallowed by the press, cameras and microphones being shoved into Oliver's face.
"Mr. Queen, can we get a comment, sir?"
"...return to civilization after five years on a deserted island."
"Can you tell us what happened on that island, Mr. Queen?"
Questions thrown at Oliver.

Inside the Courthouse
"My father didn't make it," Oliver told the judge " I almost died, I... I thought that I had, because I spent so many days on that life raft before I saw the island."
Kara stood in the back of the courtroom next to Cat Grant listening to Oliver speak.
"When I reached it, I knew..." Oliver paused for a second "I knew that I was gonna have to live for both of us," he continued "And in those five years, it was that one thought that kept me going." He finished.
"Your Honor, we move to vitiate the death-in-absentia filed after Oliver's disappearance at sea aboard the Queen's Gambit five years ago. Unfortunately we will not be requesting that the declaration of death filed for the petitioner's father, Robert Queen, be rescinded. The Queen family is only entitled to one miracle, I'm afraid." The lawyer spoke.
"Uh, was it really important for me to be here Ms. Grant?" Kara asked as she followed her boss.
"Of course it is Kiera," Cat told her assistant "You are my assistant and you're also the fiancée of Oliver Queen you're expected to be here."
"What?" Kara stopped.
"Oh please," Cat rolled her eyes stopping the face of her assistant. "You might have gone blonde but you gave pictures of you all over the internet as Oliver Queen's longest romantic relationship even with the cheating."
"Kara," Laurel walked up to Kara and Cat "Ms. Grant."
"Ms. Lance," Cat nodded "Come on Kiera the press waits for no one," with that Cat walked off not waiting for Kara.
"Kiera? It's —"
"Laurel don't," Kara let out a sigh "I've given up on correcting her."
"Well," Laurel sighed "Hey how have you been?" Laurel asked "We've hardly seen each since Oliver's return..."
"I've been...swell," Kara said as she looked over Laurel's shoulder to see two of Laurel's friends from work.
Laurel looked back at her friends then led Kara away from them "What's going on?"
"He knows about the twins..." Kara sighed and Laurel looked at her with a worried expression on his face "Then we talked at his welcome back party."
"How did that go?"
"He was like he's changed and told me to stay away from him and it's better for the twins to not be around it."
"He's a dick."
"Ladies," they heard Tommy's voice and turned to see him and Oliver walking towards them "Didn't know you were going to be here."
"My boss made me come as her assistant and all," Kara told him not looking at Oliver.
"What are you doing here?" Laurel asked them.
"Oh, they were bringing me back from the dead. Legally speaking." Oliver told her.
"So what do you guys think of this new hero and vigilante?" Tommy asked.
Laurel and her friends just walked past Oliver and Tommy while Kara turned to walk away.
Oliver stared as Kara walked away, Tommy wanted to make a smart comment about him letting Kara go but decided not to.
"Come on, buddy, shake it off. Let's go." Tommy said.
