Chapter Seven: More Courtrooms and Teams

Starling City: Outside Courthouse
Martin Somers was being swamped by reporters as he entered the courthouse.
"Mr. Somers, one question, sir." one reporter requests.
" I don't know what I've done to earn this witch-hunt from Miss Lance and her bosses at the CNRI. But I can tell you this. I am an honest businessman, and I will fight this slander to my last dime and breath. That's all I have to say, thank you." Somers told all the reporters and journalists before pushing past them to enter the courthouse.
The reporters stood outside the courthouse chatting when one of them spotted Oliver and Tommy leaving and Diggle in front.
"There's Mr. Queen!"
Everyone rushed over to Oliver "Tell us what happened inside Mr. Queen!" One tried to push his microphone into Oliver's face.
Oliver ignored all of them as Diggle led them to the car.
"Get back," Diggle ordered as Oliver got in the car.
"What happened in there?"
"All right everyone get back!" Diggle shoves them away then a guy shoved the microphone in Diggles face which pissed him off "Hey man, I'll make you swallow that Nikon! Back!"
Tommy and Diggles had turned towards the car which was now driving off.
"This happens to you a lot huh?" Tommy asked Diggle who let out a huff.

Inside the courthouse
"A father," Laurel stood in a courtroom "A man with a daughter. The plaintiff will prove by a preponderance of evidence that Victor Nocenti learned that his boss, that man sitting right there, Martin Somers, was taking bribes from the Chinese Triads to smuggle drugs into our city."
"And when Victor Nocenti threatened to tell the police..."
~~~
A man slits Victor's throat.
~~~
"Martin Somers had him killed." Laurel added as she stood in front of the jury "Mr. Somers is very well-connected, and has friends in the District Attorney's office. Which is why, if Emily Nocenti is to get justice for her father's death, if Martin Somers is to get justice for his crimes, then someone is going to have to do it for them."

Starting City: Alleyway behind CatCo Media
Winn was exiting a side door stopped when he saw James "Hey what's up man?" James nodded at Winn.
"Nothing...nothing," Winn said "I...I like to come out here and smoke," he made an excuse "Which I like to do in private."
"Actually, I'm here to meet a friend." James told him.
"Yeah, you can meet them inside the building. Yeah?"
"No, uh, my friend likes to make an entrance."
With that there was a whoosh and Kara in her Supergirl costume landed in front of them holding Tommy by his collar before letting go.
"Woah," Tommy wobbled for a second before regaining his speed.
"Sorry..." Kara apologized.
Tommy then saw James and Winn who stared.
"They know?"
"He knows?"
"He knows?"
Tommy pointed to the two men while James pointed to him and Winn and Winn did the same with James and Tommy.
"Winn and Tommy are my friends and James already knew," Kara told them all.
"Yeah" Tommy said.
"Best friend actually," Winn told.
"If I'm going to be a hero, and prove to everyone that I know what I'm doing, I'm gonna need to practice," Kara told them all.
"Start small, get better," Tommy smiled and Kara nodded.
"And to do that, I'm gonna need your help."
"I'm in."
"I'm in."
"I'm in."
Came from all three in union.
"I uh said it first," James said.

Starling City: Queen Factory
Oliver is shirtless, showing all of the scars he had gotten on the island, and starts climbing a thick rope. There were several green arrowheads on a table.
(voiceover): "Martin Somers. Laurel's targeted the worst of Starling City, so it's no surprise his name is on my father's list."
The book Oliver's father had given him laid open on the table as Oliver was hitting metal sticks by using metal bars.
(voiceover): "The city's police and the D.A. can't stop him, or won't. Laurel thinks she's the only one willing to bring him to justice. She's wrong."

NIGHT — Shipping Dock
"You, listen up," Somers walked towards a man "The longer this goes on, the more likely the media is gonna crucify me. You shut this trial down, do you understand me?"
"Yes sir."
The electricity starts flashing and there were grunts, until one light finally came on with Somers being the only man standing until something grabbed him by the throat.
When he became conscious Martin Somers was handing by his feet upside down, a man in a green hood standing in front of him.
"Martin Somers," the arrow said his voice deep.
"Who the hell are you?"
"You've failed this city," he held up an arrow
"No, no, no, no, no, no! Ah!" Somers yelled as an arrow was shot at him but missed
"You're going to testify in that trial," Arrow told him "You're gonna confess to having Victor Nocenti killed," Somers groans as he swings around "There won't be a second warning." Arrow fired again from behind Somers scrapping his cheek as he screams.
Then the Arrow was gone leaving Martin Somers hanging.

NIGHT - Queen Mansion
"I hired you to protect my son," Moira paced in front of Diggle "Now I'm not a professional bodyguard but it seems to me, that the first requirement would be managing to stay next to the men you're hired to protect."
"With all due respect ma'am, I never had a client who didn't want my protection," Dig told Moira.
"I hired you," Moira stopped in front of him "That makes me the client," she told him "Now, where do you think my son is going on these chaperone-less excursions?"
"Ma'am, I truly do not know," Diggle told her.
"And he truly doesn't," Oliver entered the living room and Moira turned to face her son.
"Then perhaps you'd like to share with me you know, where it is you run off to."
Oliver chuckles "I've been alone for five years."
"I know that, Oliver."
"Mom," Oliver said "Alone."
"I see," Moira nodded understanding what her son was saying and hoping he wasn't with Kara again.
"I promise to introduce her if it ever gets to the, uh, exchange first names stage."
"No. I'd rather you promise to take Mr. Diggle with you on your next rendezvous," Moira made her closer to Oliver "It's not safe, you've already been abducted one," she told him "There is a maniac out there, hunting the wealthy."
"That maniac saved my life." Oliver told his mother as Diggle watched the duo speak to the each other.
"This isn't a game," Moira told him "I lost you once and I am not going through that again."
"Okay," Oliver nodded then his eyes turned to Diggle "Dig's my guy."
"Thank you." Moira walked off.
Dig let out a sigh stuffing his hand into his pockets as he looked at Oliver.
"Sorry to give you so much grief." Oliver apologize.
" I served three tours in Afghanistan, Mr. Queen. You don't even come close to my definition of "grief." But I tell you what... You ditch me one more time, no one will have to fire me." Dig walked off passing Thea in a red dress.
"Where you goin'?" Oliver stopped Thea.
" Uh... Somewhere loud and smoky, " Thea told him " And don't bother trying to pickpocket my stash this time, because I'm gonna go get drunk instead," she folded her arms.
"Thea, do you think this is what Dad would want for you?"
"Dead people don't want anything. It's one of the benefits of being dead."
"I was dead," Oliver stepped closer to his sister "And I wanted a lot."
"Except for your family. You've been home a week, and all you do is avoid Mom, ignore Walter, judge me, and hurt Kara."
Oliver sighed. "Don't wait up," Thea told him before walking out.
