Over the past few days Ch'en had been mulling over her defeat to Yua. While at first, she wanted to just keep a very close eye on her, that eventually evolved into wanting to know what secrets she had, and Yua had a lot by the looks of it. First of all, how did she know all of Ch'en's techniques, whatever Ch'en did the other lung was able to counter it as if she knew what she would do.The white-haired techniques also looked like modifications of Ch'en's own techniques. Then, there was the fact that she was appointed as the doctor's assistant so quickly.

She didn't look like the type that could handle paperwork, so there must have been another reason why Yua was appointed as the doctors assistant so quickly. Finally, Yua said that she grew up in the slums. In Lungman, there were many infected in the slums so Yua must have come into contact with them at some point. If the lungs mother was also infected the the chances of her becoming infected seemed inevitable. So why wasn't the white-haired lung infected herself?

"That does seem odd. Others have gotten infected from much less, Yua should have gotten infected someway." Ch'en's intuition was telling her that her story didn't add up. She had to be lying, but why? The blue-haired lung knew she had to find out. Yua couldn't hide her secrets any longer. Ch'en decided to find her fellow lung, she would do whatever it took to find out what she was hiding, heading up to the doctor's office Ch'en believed Yua would be there...

Kal'tsit had just received a letter, Irene from the Iberian inquisition had replied to her, reading the letter Kal'tsit had a small smile, she could finally start putting her plan together, this would determine if Yua was truly an enemy or not. The ancient feline heard a knock at the door, which drew her attention. Putting the letter in a draw Kal'tsit told whoever was at the door to come in, Kal'tsit was then greeted by Ch'en, if the blue-haired lung came to her office it must have been serious Kal'tsit theorised.

"Hello Ch'en, what can I do for you?" Kal'tsit asked. Quickly looking around the office Ch'en could not see the doctor or Yua anywhere, "Hello Doctor Kal'tsit, I am looking for Yua. Have you seen her?" Why did Ch'en want to see Yua what the feline was thinking. The feline thought that it must have been about the spar they had the other day. "Yua has gone into the city with the doctor. You will find Yua there." Thanking Doctor Kal'tsit Ch'en then left the room to head down to the entrance of the landship. Kal'tsit then went back to the letter, soon Rhodes Island would be heading to Iberia, they would spend a few days here just outside a city in Colombia to get supplies for the landship and to let the operators relax a bit before heading off.

When Ch'en arrived at the landship entrance, she noticed a lot of the vehicles were taken, "Probably a lot of operators are in the city." The lung thought. Swire would probably be in the city looking to buy something expensive and Hoshiguma was more than likely riding one of her bikes in the desert. This made things easier for Ch'en. The fewer people that were with her, the fewer questions that she would be asked. Getting inside one of the vehicles, she started it up and drove out the entrance. After a fifteen-minute drive across the desert Ch'en could see the city. She also saw how many vehicles were parked outside, which meant a lot of Rhodes Island operators were here. Yua and the doctor were somewhere here. Ch'en didn't know how long it would take to find them.

Parking up next to the rest of the Rhodes Island vehicles Ch'en got out and headed into the city. While walking around the city Ch'en kept bumping into other operators. Many of them said hello and asked how the blue-haired lung was doing. Ch'en replied hello back and told them that she was fine. She wanted to keep the conversations short because she remembered why she was here. She had to find her fellow lung. Eventually, after what seemed like ages Ch'en spotted Yua, she was with the doctor.

They were outside a small cafe; Ch'en couldn't hear what they were saying due to the distance, she wanted to find out what they were talking about but she didn't want to get spotted. Ch'en crept closer and made sure she kept out of sight. "Are there any operations coming up?" Yua asked the doctor. The doctor replied, "Not that I know of, although Kal'tsit might be working on something, but she hasn't told me yet." Ch'en heard this,"So they talking about work, even when they have time off." The blue-haired lung thought while listening in. Ch'en found this admirable, especially in the doctor. Speaking of the doctor over the time she had known him, she had grown...fond of the man, yes fond. She admired the man's qualities. Hopefully, at some time in the future, she would get the opportunity to know the man better.

"Don't think about that Ch'en, remember why you are here." Ch'en reminded herself. Her mission was to find out about Yua. She needed to stay focused on that. Yua and the doctor then got up from where they were sitting and left the cafe to go elsewhere. Seeing that they were moving Ch'en moved from her hiding spot and followed them, making sure to keep her distance. Several operators saw the doctor and Yua and went up to them. Seeing more operators coming the lung hid again, she didn't want to be spotted by anyone.

While Ch'en was hiding waiting for the other operators to leave the doctor and Yua alone, someone tapped her on the shoulder. Turning around, surprised Ch'en was met with Swire. Seeing that her friend was surprised, Swire asked, "Whoa Ch'en, what's gotten you so worked up?" Ch'en had to make an excuse to make sure Swire didn't question what she was doing "Well, I'm just guarding the doctor, can't be too careful with the dangers lurking about everywhere." Swire didn't buy her friends excuse for a second, "Ch'en, the doctor has Yua with him, also this city has plenty of operators everywhere, I doubt anyone would try to harm the doctor with all these people around." The blue-haired lung realised Swire would have no problem being able to see through her. The feline was a former police officer as well.

Seeing that she couldn't lie to her friend Ch'en decided to tell Swire the truth. She took a breath before she spoke, "Okay Swire I will tell you the truth, I'm trying to find out information about Yua" Swire replied, "Why are you trying to find out information about Yua?" Ch'en then explained about Yua countering her attacks in their spar, becoming the doctor's assistant so quickly, finally about why she wasn't infected when she was around so many infected herself. The lung found all of this too suspicious about Yua. After listening to her, Swire agreed, "I see what you mean Ch'en, it does seem suspicious. We do need to find out about Yua." Ch'en was thankful her friend understood her concerns about the white-haired lung.

"Well, I'll join you Ch'en, we will both follow her." Ch'en didn't really want another person following the doctor and Yua, but it did mean the blue-haired lung did have another witness if Yua was hiding something dangerous from everybody. Thankfully, by the time the two of them finished talking, all the other operators around the doctor and Yua had left the two alone, this meant the lung and feline could follow them. The doctor and Yua went into several shops, and Ch'en and Swire kept their distance. Eventually, it became evening, and the doctor and Yua stopped at a park bench, with Ch'en and Swire hiding behind a bush.

"Today has been good today, hasn't it Yua?" The lung replied, "Yes it has. It's nice to have a break from everything..." The next thing the white-haired lung said shocked both Ch'en and Swire.

"Father..."

Father?!

Did both of them just hear that right? Did Yua just call the doctor her father? When Ch'en and Swire looked at each other's faces, they knew they both heard the same thing. There was no denying it. Wanting to find out what was going on Ch'en got out of her cover and shouted, "Why did you just call the doctor your father, Yua!" When both of them heard the shout, they turned in the direction and saw Ch'en, Swire had also come out of her cover. When the lung saw that she had been found out by her mother and one of her aunts, Yua's face turned whiter than her hair.

"Why did this have to happen?! Why did Mother and Aunt Swire have to find out?!" Is all Yua could think. This was the last thing that she wanted. Seeing that Yua wouldn't be able to speak the doctor spoke up in the white-haired lungs defence, "I know you have a lot of questions Ch'en, but believe me when I say this, we had reasons why we had to hide this" Ch'en then responded, "And what reasons where those, doctor? Do you not trust those in Rhodes Island?" The doctor then explained his reason's, "I only discovered Yua was my daughter recently, it was a shock for me as well. Finding out that she is my family, I wanted to get to know her, that's why she is my assistant. Doctor Kal'tsit recommended it." Ch'en could understand that he would want to get to know his daughter. But that still didn't explain why he didn't let people know.

The doctor then continued, "As for why I didn't tell anyone, other operators would believe that I would show favouritism to Yua for being my daughter, that would cause problems, people might not listen to my orders." Ch'en didn't think that it would be that much of an issue. Sure, a few operators might have a problem, but it would be sorted out over time. The doctor then stated one more reason, "From what I've been told Ch'en, from my past I have enemies in Terra. If they find out I have a daughter, they could target her to get to me." Okay, Ch'en could definitely understand that, no one should have to be worried about their child being targeted by other people. She was satisfied with that reason.

Then another voice spoke out, "Well, you're definitely not wrong about having enemies' doctor." If Yua could get any more paler, she would, "No! Please don't tell me she knows now!" When everyone turned their heads, they saw someone they wished wasn't here. It was W. "Well, you certainly are full of secrets now, doctor, hiding a daughter from everyone. I'm so hurt you didn't tell me." W said in a sarcastic tone. Looking at the face of W, Yua could tell she was loving this. She would definitely use this against the doctor.

"What are you doing here, W!" Ch'en shouted at the sarkaz woman. She did not want her here. Nobody wanted her here, to be honest. W replied, "I was looking to find a way to mess with the doctor, so I was following him. I definitely didn't expect to find out this gem of information. Then again, why were you also following him, Madam Ch'en?" Ch'en couldn't respond, she didn't want to tell W she was doing the same thing as her but for different reasons. If she had a go at W for doing it, she would have been a massive hypocrite.

W knew this and simply grinned, "Well it doesn't matter, I've got what I wanted." The sarkaz woman then looked at Yua, "I'll be seeing you really soon, Yua." W then turned and left. With W now knowing Yua knew it would be common knowledge on the land ship soon, she would happily spread the information.

Yua could only think,"This is going to be bad! Everyone is going to know! What do I do now..."
