Yua was on eggshells at the moment. At any moment, she thought W would let her secret be known to the whole landship. It was constantly on her mind, Yua couldn't focus on anything else. Even as Doctor Kal'tsit was giving everyone a brief on what Rhodes Island was going to be doing in Iberia. All Yua could do was look at W. The sarkaz noticed the white-haired lung was looking at her and gave a toothy grin back, Yua wanted to wipe that grin off her face, but she couldn't. W would tell everything to everyone on the landship. When Yua, the Doctor, Ch'en and Swire all got back to the landship the evening that they found out about Yua being the doctor's daughter Doctor Kal'tsit ordered them all into her office, the ancient was not happy..
Doctor Kal'tsit reprimanded them all for being so careless. The ancient feline especially blasted Yua and the doctor that they let W find out. W had told her that she knew as soon as she returned. Now Doctor Kal'tsit explained that she had to listen to W's demands and give her what she wanted to keep the sarkaz quiet. She then had a go at Ch'en and Swire for spying on the two. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience for any of them. Ever since then, Yua and everyone else had to be careful, W had Yua and the doctor at her mercy.
Ch'en and Swire had been feeling guilty ever since then. While they wanted to find out about Yua, the way they had gone about it went horribly wrong. W had so much power over the doctor and Yua now, and they played a huge part in it. Both the blue-haired lung and the feline wanted to find a way to make it up to both of them. When the brief was finished and many of the operators had left, both Ch'en and Swire walked up to Doctor Kal'tsit, "Hello Doctor Kal'tsit, can we speak to you please?" Kal'tsit replied,"Very well, but not here, we will head up to the office." The three of them then headed towards Doctor Kal'tsit's office.
Once there, the door was shut. The ancient feline then asked, "What did you want to speak with me about?" Swire was the one who answered, "It is about Yua and the doctor. How have they been?" Doctor Kal'tsit replied, "Not good for obvious reasons, with W knowing what she does, I have no choice but to listen to her demands, W has asked to be part of the same team As Yua for this upcoming operation, as to why I don't know but my hands are tied otherwise I know she will reveal everything." Both the blue-haired lung and the feline looked down in shame. They had really screwed up.
Ch'en then thought of a way to try to mitigate the damage herself and Swire had caused, "Doctor Kal'tsit, we also request to be part of the same team, at the very least we can keep an eye on Yua in case W tries to harm Yua in anyway. We know that she has past issues with the doctor and might target Yua in some way." While Kal'tsit didn't want any more people to be on Yua's team in case it disrupted Kal'tsit's plan, she had no choice, this had thrown a huge curveball for her. "Very well, I will put you two in, I will do my best to keep this from W, but you might want to let Yua know. She has been given a few days off from being her father's assistant, so look around the landship for her." Both Ch'en and Swire thanked Kal'tsit and then left the office. When they both left, the ancient feline was left thinking, "This will make things more difficult. When we arrive in Iberia, I will have to let Irene know the situation has gotten more complicated."
The two of them then started to look for Yua. Their first idea was to find Hoshiguma as she might be training with her. When they arrived at the training centre, they did spot the green-haired oni and walked up to her. "Hello Hoshiguma, how are you?" Swire asked her friend. "Hey guy's, I'm fine, you two okay?" Hoshiguma replied. The lung then said, "We are fine, Hoshiguma. We came here to ask if Yua was here. Have you seen her?" Hoshiguma shook her head, "No, not since the brief, haven't a clue where she is." Both of them thanked their friend and left. Their next idea was to head directly to her room.
Once they arrived, the blue-haired lung knocked on the door and called out, "Yua are you in? We want to speak with you." No answer was heard, so Ch'en tried again, "Yua, I know you are probably angry with us. We came to apologise and talk." Again, no answer was heard, so the two of them decided to enter. When they entered, Yua was nowhere to be seen, there was no sign of the white-haired lung. The two of them were lost as to where she could be, their last choice was to ask any operators if they had seen her, the two of them asked any operators they saw if they came across Yua, but many only knew her codename so they asked if they had seen Operator Smokescreen.
They kept asking until one operator, Beagle, came up to them, "Hello madam Ch'en, Miss Swire, I heard you are looking for Operator Smokescreen?" Both nodded and asked where she was. Beagle replied, "I saw her with W heading up to a balcony to the roof, I couldn't catch what they were saying but Smokescreen didn't look happy and W looked like she was grinning from ear to ear." This didn't sound good for the lung, W being around Yua could only mean trouble for her. Thanking Beagle, the two of them sped off to catch up with them on the roof.
Once they arrived at the roof, they managed to find W and Yua, and W was shouting at the girl, "I own you, understand! You and your father will do exactly as I tell you and you will like it! Unless you want your little secret known to everybody! That wouldn't be good for you, would it?" Yua was dying to punch W, but she couldn't, W could ruin everything for her. Her goal of changing the future was in danger. The lung had no choice but to comply with what the sarkaz woman said to her.
Seeing the way how W was acting towards Yua made both Ch'en and Swire very angry, this had to stop. Ch'en Shouted at the sarkaz , "W! What on Terra are you doing! Leave the girl alone!" Both W and Yua turned towards the shout, Yua looked surprised, and W looked annoyed by who it was."Mother and Aunt Swire! What are they doing here?" Is what Yua was thinking ipon seeing the pair. The lung was glad to see them. Both The blue-haired lung and the feline marched up to W and got right in her face. "Stop this right now, W! Whatever problem you have with the doctor, leave her out of it!" Swire shouted at W.
The sarkaz women reminded them both of the current situation, "Both of you had better be careful when talking to me, I could make this girls life very hard here. All it would take is me to talk. Imagine the consequences if I did that. A lot of other operators certainly wouldn't be happy about discovering who Yua truly is." Both Ch'en and Swire remembered this, W was right they did have to be careful. Otherwise, they knew the sarkaz would talk. Seeing that they understood, W then said, "Good that you both remember, I'm going to be her team leader when we arrive in Iberia, I'm just telling her she better listen to me when we are out there. Otherwise, she will have a lot of angry operators to deal with." Satisfied that everyone understood W then turned to leave, before she did, she told Yua, "Remember Yua, you and your father are my pawns now, so don't forget what I said" W then left the three of them on the roof.
Once they were certain they were alone Ch'en asked Yua, "Are you okay, Yua? I'm sorry we couldn't do more." Yua shook her head, "It's fine, you did what you could given the circumstances" Both of them remembered why Yua was in this situation and felt a lot of guilt, they bowed their heads in front of Yua. Swire then spoke, "We are so sorry, Yua. It's our fault this has happened." The white-haired lung waved her hands, "It's fine. It's my fault, I should have been more careful, and I can understand why you wanted answers."
Thankful that the girl didn't hold it against them, they raised their heads, Yua then spoke, "Why are you two here anyway? Were you looking for me?" They nodded "We felt guilty, so we came to apologise, we also came to tell you we are part of your team in Iberia, Doctor Kal'tsit has said it's okay. She will keep it from W, and we promise will keep an eye out for you." Is what Ch'en told her. Yua smiled and thought "You have always looked out for me, Mother, and Aunt Swire."
Yua then talked, "Thank you, both of you, I really mean it." The other two then smiled. Together, they would find some way to overcome W, but for now, they had to focus on Iberia...
