For the last few days since it was revealed that Yua was the doctor's daughter, life had been very difficult for the doctor and Kal'tsit. Every day, several operators would come to their office with complaints, accusing the doctor of having favouritism towards the white-haired lung. Some operators were even threatening to leave; Kal'tsit could see that they were just angry.

The ancient feline reminded them that Yua was still an operator of Rhodes Island and would still carry on with whatever job or operation she was deployed on. Kal'tsit also reminded them that she was still helping the innocent and infected, and they should judge Yua on her actions and not on who her father was.

"This is starting to get to be too much of a headache; first, everyone finds out about Yua, and now we are still stuck in Iberia." She remembered her current situation. After the incident with Amiya and W, it was discovered that the landship had taken some damage and was unable to move anywhere. The engineering department had been working tirelessly to get the landship moving again.

This meant Kal'tsit had to send another letter to Irene explaining that Rhodes Island could not leave due to mechanical issues. Irene replied to her and said that they could stay in Iberia for the time being, the condition being that as long as Rhodes Island continued to give extra aid to the Iberians in the meantime.

"At least we can give some more help to the Iberians before we leave." Kal'tsit thought, that was the only good thing in these past few days. Looking over to the doctor, Kal'tsit could see he was clearly distracted; he wasn't able to focus on his work as much as he normally could. The ancient feline knew what it was that was distracting him, so she decided to tell him to confront the issue. "You should go and see Yua and Amiya. They probably have their own issues to deal with right now. They will more than likely want your help." The doctor lifted his head up and replied, "Not yet, I still have too much work to do, I will speak to them both later."

Kal'tsit was not happy with his response. He was using work as an excuse to avoid them, which was the last thing that they needed right now. Kal'tsit called him out on it. "You can't just say you have too much work, I can see right now that you can't focus on it; the longer you leave this issue, the worse it will get, So put your pen down, get out of this office, and go and be a father to your daughters."

The doctor couldn't argue with Kal'tsit; she was right. The longer he tried to avoid what was going on, it would only come back to bite him later. He nodded and then got up from his desk and left the room to go search for them. Once she was alone, Kal'tsit called out a familiar name: "Red." The lupo then appeared and asked, "What do you need, Doctor Kal'tsit?" Kal'tsit replied, "Your mission regarding Yua has changed. I still want you to keep an eye on her, but for different reasons. If anyone tries to hurt her, I want you to protect her. Understood?" The lupo didn't know why Doctor Kal'tsit had changed her mission, but she would comply nonetheless. "Understood, Doctor Kal'tsit. Red will protect her." The lupo then left, and Kal'tsit returned to her paperwork. She wondered if the doctor could sort things out with his daughter and Amiya. She hoped for Rhodes Island's sake that he could.

The doctor walked toward his daughter's room; "She must be going through a lot right now." The man pondered about his daughter. Quite a few operators probably saw and treated her differently now that they knew she was his child. Once he was outside, he knocked on her door and spoke, "Yua, it's me. Can I come in, please?" After a few seconds, the door opened, and there stood Yua. The doctor could tell the white-haired lung probably hadn't left her room much in the last few days; she probably wanted to avoid as many people as possible. Yua then questioned the doctor, "Hello, Father. What did you want to talk about?" The man told the lung what he wanted, "I've come to talk to you. I know that these last few days have been difficult, and I want to help. Can I come in so we can talk in private?" The girl nodded and let her father into her room.

Yua sat on her bed while the doctor sat at a desk in her room. Once the doctor knew Yua was ready, he then rapidly began questioning her. "How have you been? Have you been eating right these past few days? Has anybody been giving you trouble since they found out?" Yua then held up her hand. "Slow down, father," she said. "You are asking me too many questions. Don't worry, I am fine." She then paused for a few seconds before speaking again. "Hoshiguma has been bringing me food these last few days. She knew that things would be difficult for me since it's common knowledge now. I didn't want to be around people, and she could tell, so she has been getting me food from the cafeteria. Hoshiguma doesn't hold it against me for not wanting to tell her." The doctor was grateful that Hoshiguma was understanding and bringing his daughter food. He would have to thank the oni the next time he saw her.

Yua then spoke again. "Because I have been in my room the past few days, nobody has been giving me any trouble. If anything, I am more worried about Amiya." That was another person the doctor needed to help, not just his blood-related daughter, but the other person who he saw as his other daughter as well. He had let them both down these last few days, and he knew it; he was going to change that. Before deciding his next move, he asked Yua a question. "Yua, do you hate Amiya? I know that with what happened with W, it caused everyone to find out that you are my daughter."

Yua couldn't hate Amiya; in her timeline, Amiya was there for her as much as she could, despite the circumstances. Even when Yua made mistakes, the cautus never held it against her; if anything, she supported her and made sure that she got better and didn't make those mistakes again.

In response to her father's question, "No, father," Yua said. "I understand why Amiya did what she did. In fact, it was great that she brought W down a peg or two; at least W can't blackmail you anymore." Satisfied with her answer, the doctor told her, "Great! Then you can come with me to see Amiya. I'm sure seeing both of us will make Amiya feel better."

Even though Yua didn't want to see any other operators right now, she owed Amiya. Although the Amiya of this time wasn't the exact one she knew, Yua could at least return the favour to her in some way. Nodding at her father, the two of them got up and left her room to go see her sister. On the way there, they encountered many operators; some avoided the pair or acted overly polite to them. The white-haired lung realized the only reason they were acting that way was because they didn't want to get on the wrong side of her father. Yua knew it would be different when she was on her own; she had to prepare for that.

Eventually, they found Amiya's room, and Yua was the one who knocked. They didn't hear anything at first, so Yua tried a second time and said, "Amiya, me and my father want to see you; can you please open the door?" After a minute or so, running was heard, and the door flung open. Amiya then pounced on Yua, and they both fell to the floor in a hug. "This again?!" The lung thought as Amiya had her in a tight hold.

The doctor was just watching this; he knew that Amiya wanted to bond with the person who was practically her sister. He thought it was quite touching, eventually though, he could see Yua mouth, "Help me!" Seeing that his daughter needed a hand, the doctor spoke, "Okay, Amiya, that's enough; please let go of your sister." Amiya then let go of Yua, and the two of them stood up.

The doctor and Yua could see tears streaming down Amiya's cheeks; they knew she had been crying. Once she had calmed down, Amiya then spoke, "I'm so glad I got to see you both; I thought you might have hated me." Yua shook her head, "No, Amiya, I don't hate you; you were just looking out for your family. How can I hate you for that?" This answer put a smile on Amiya's face. The three of them walked into her room to talk. After an hour or so, everything was cleared up between them. Amiya was happy that Yua didn't hold anything against her. The cautus told the lung that from now on, she wanted to bond properly with her. Amiya wanted to be the best sister she could to Yua.

Yua also promised she would be a responsible big sister and help Amiya in any way she could, which resulted in another crushing hug from Amiya. Seeing his daughter's bond together like this put a huge smile on the doctor's face from behind his mask. He had more of a reason now to cure oripathy; he didn't want either one to lose the other due to this disease. In his mind, he owed it to Yua's mother as well. He then thought of an idea since Rhodes Island would still be in Iberia for the next few days at least.

He then spoke of his idea to the pair. "Amiya, Yua, since Rhodes Island won't be moving for a little while, why don't we spend a bit of time in Iberia together tomorrow? Neither of you will be on shift, and I'm sure Kal'tsit can handle me not being in the office for one day; what do you say?" Amiya responded enthusiastically that she would love it. Yua also agreed with the idea. Seeing that they agreed with the idea, he spoke again. "Perfect. Tomorrow morning, we will grab a vehicle and head to a small town. Just to see the sights and have a good day away from the office, just the three of us."

The doctor then got up and left the two of them to carry on talking. The doctor was still getting used to all of this, but he promised that he would do all he could for them. They would have a bright future, and he would do whatever it took to make it happen...
