'thought'
"Speech"
"Powerful Creatures Speaking, like a dragon or a god"
"Text via book or newspaper... when those are around..."
I gaze down at a muzzled reptile inside a large bird cage, a frown on my lips.
It's slightly gecko-like with two bulbous eyes, quadrupedal with a long spade-tipped tail. A trail of spikes go down its back as two twisted horns sprout from the base of its skull.
It is green in color with two little brown wings.
Rias is stood nearby looking at the little dragon.
"Huh. Not really used to seeing dragons this weak." She notes, tilting her head. "In fact, the last time I saw a dragon would probably be a Sprite Dragon in the familiar forest... oh right! Familiar contracts! We should get one for you sometime! I've got a book on it."
"I'm not sure what I'd want as a familiar... maybe I could do the contract with the less human celestial spirits? That'd be interesting." I mutter as I look at the dragon.
"Well, I'd imagine you could use a familiar contract on even the humanoid ones as they're the same species. dragons being able to turn into people doesn't mean they aren't suitable for familiars."
"Huh." I hum before I take out the book on takeover magic I retrieved those long months ago, briefly re-reading a part of it.
"Alright. Let's try this. For the record. If I'm not in control, just beat it up a little and I should be able to lock it away. Though... keep in mind that even if I shift forms it is still my body... so if you do any permanent injuries to it... I'll also gain them."
"TAKEOVER!" I call out.
And suddenly it's dark.
I blink down at a gecko sat before me.
'huh?'
It seems just as surprised as me, cocking its head to the side.
"SCREEE!" It shrieks as it lunges for my face.
"GAH! FUCK!" I scream as I roll backwards in the sheer darkness.
A torrent of flames spew from the dragon's mouth.
'you little-'
I narrowly avoid the plume, punching it in the face.
It crashes onto its side, letting out a surprised shriek, one of its limbs being wrapped in chain.
"..."
Huh?
Its moves are sluggish, but in my surprise a bolt of fire strikes me in the chest causing my eyes to widen.
My legs are wrapped up in those same spectral chains.
We...
Are fighting to see who is in control of my body...
I hold out a hand, numerous bolts of crimson metal shooting forwards and bashing into the small dragon.
It is cocooned in chains, being locked to the floor as the inky darkness gains a dirt floor. The little dragon gaining a metal collar connected to chains that is locked in place with a metal spike that has been driven into the ground.
A...
Mindscape prison?
MINDSCAPE?!
That gives me an idea.
But first? This seems a little... tame...
I hold my hand towards it, watching as thick enchanted ropes coil around its limbs, its mouth is closed with a wool fire-resistant muzzle and several more ropes appear across its body.
Suddenly I am pulled from my mindscape, causing me to blink down at my hand.
Sounds return to me as I look around. "Huh... that was... something."
I close my eyes for a moment, my body glowing briefly.
Two brown wings appear on my back as the skills of this little reptile come to mind.
There's not much.
I am now shirtless, little green scales appearing around my body.
My nails have extended into claws.
If I had to make a really obscure and vague comparison... I sort of look like Deacon from that one cartoon network movie, 'Fire Breather'...
Was Deacon even his name?
Duncan?
It might have been Duncan.
Shame that movie never really did anything. It seemed like a pilot for a tv series.
I point two fingers at the ground, like I'm about to fire a special beam cannon or something- another thing I should probably figure out in this life-
A magic circle appears just in front of my fingertips. A little bolt of fire being shot out at high speeds.
It strikes the floor quickly followed by another and another.
It's like a handgun, really. A bunch of swift firebolts that are compact, fast, and have a surprising amount of accuracy.
A moment later a stream of fire shoots from a slightly larger magic circle. More of a 'flamethrower' than the 'bullets' from the prior attack.
"Well." I mutter as I clench and unclench my fist. "That's quite interesting. I got its flames. How strong they are in comparison to my Ignis and Firebolt spells... that's to be determined... if I'm correct, my physical attributes should have also increased. We can test that later... now comes the hard part... a dragon with both super speed and a paralytic stinger that can freeze an adult man with one simple jab."
My transformation quickly fades as I bring my hands together in front of my face, thinking deeply. "Alright, soooo uh... huh... maybe I could create a barrier of some sort with Archive?"
An archive screen appears in front of me as I frown, it distorts slightly as I press my hand on it, like touching one of those old box televisions. Static crackling against my hand.
"I could make this work." I note as the screen abruptly shrinks, draining less of my magical energy.
I duplicate it several times, the magic circle in my hand spinning as I do so.
I begin layering the barriers against each other, much like shingles. After around ten minutes a dome covers my top half, looking a lot like a golf ball or crystal ball.
"Alright, can someone hit this-"
I flinch as a blast of magical energy strikes the dome, crashing through one side effortlessly, shooting just above my head and out the other side of the barrier.
I let out a small breath as the holes quickly mend, being replaced by more screens. "Allllright... not as protective as I had originally hoped... uh... oh! Right. let me try this."
Runes- much like I would stitch into cloth appear on the screens, my magical energy is greatly drained- nearly ten percent just from this small barrier.
This... might work. I'm honestly fifty-fifty on it. On one hand, runes. They should apply to things that aren't cloth theoretically.
On the other, a lot of the enchantments depend on materials.
"Can you-"
*CRACK-*
I flinch as Koneko slowly wanders over and smashes her fist against it. Cracks cascade across the section she hit, but the rest of the barrier is fine.
"Mn. Get on with it." The deadpan girl rotates her hand in a 'hurry up' manner. "I want snacks..."
Mental note. Spend some time later coding the runes to be shaped to look like shields. But for now...
"A-Alright." I mutter. "This should be good enough... if it's not oh well. You're all here."
With a dull flash a strange dragon appears.
It has the body proportions of a velociraptor, but the head of a shark.
It lacks any real wings merely having two shark-like membraned fins on its back where wings would ordinarily be.
It is shackled far worse than the first dragon. Tail trapped in a sleeve of wrought iron, its mouth is muzzled, eyes covered.
Its legs are tied together with chain, and its arms are pinned to its body with a harness.
"Well... let's try this- Oh wait. This dragon supposedly has super speed and a stinger that can paralyze." "Wool make... Cocoon."
My legs are trapped in a snuggy of death as I nod once. "Alright. Let's do this. TAKEOVER!"
With a flash... I am in darkness.
A barrier springs to life around me as I begin casting my spells.
the dragon reacts quickly, a stinger slamming into the dome-like barrier around me.
I watch the screen ripple a small crack appearing.
The dragon then turns and rapidly begins circling me, body only a blur.
The barrier around me lifts slightly off the ground as I cast another spell, cloth beginning to pool around my ankles.
I wait, watching the dragon move faster and faster.
"Wool Make... Viper Snare!" I call out the magic circle in front of me glowing brightly.
The cloth explodes outwards, covering the floor.
In the distance... I can see my little Terrible Terror captured and locked away.
I watch the swift dragon quickly race around, a smile on my lips as-
A single string of wool slips over its clawed foot.
As it continues to run, the floor lifts up, the very ground itself clinging to its foot and wrapping around the beast.
It lands with a thump as I smile and raise my hand.
The gathered cloth raises up, then smashes onto the floor.
Chains seem to coil around the dragon.
Its body is tightly contained as I repeatedly slam it on the ground.
After five blows and a dull flash the dragon is teleported close by to the smaller terror.
I walk over to it, to see it loosely shackled.
I glance to the terror, seeing it in the same position I left it. Wrapped in thick rope and cloth.
I do the same to the speed stinger, taking my time to ensure it can't break free.
I'll need to figure out how to create a mind palace... that'd probably be helpful for any further takeover nonsense.
With another flash my consciousness returns to the real world.
"W-Well." I breathe after a moment. "It was deceptively fast."
"Unnaturally so... almost certainly faster than a cheeta, hell, I bet it could even see- and possibly dodge- bullets.
"S-Seriously?! You managed to defeat something like that?! How? You don't really seem like you'd be able to react that quickly yet!" Rias shouts.
"I used its brief moment of being stunned to create my archive barrier, which I then raised slightly off the ground a moment later, then spread out a massive web of wool strings across the ground. The dragon circled me, and just when its claw began to lift one of the strings, having slipped under it in its high speed, I quickly captured it and repeatedly slammed it into the floor. Until the spell forced it to submit."
"I... see." Rias mutters under her breath.
"Anyways. Food time!"
Over the past two months... after adapting to my new body... I have been messing around with magic... or rather, the new magic source I have been given.
It appears demonic magic is... kind of simple.
It's an interesting path of power to pursue.
Kind of limiting though.
I'm looking forward to seeing how far I can push it.
You see, at its core. Demonic magic is more of a... neutral... energy.
It has some corruption aspects to it, but not in the whole 'Fel Energies' sort of angle.
No. It appears to have a symbiosis with its user.
It passively improves the strength of the user, the more demonic power you have, the stronger you are. This means devils get somewhat weaker as they use more and more energy. Like an athlete facing exhaustion. It also can take effects that you desire to happen and make it a reality.
After creating an orb of demonic power- I seem to have quite a large reserve, Rias didn't stop cackling for around ten minutes. probably the Apprentice Essence- I was able to freely change it to many differing elements.
Fire. Water. Wind. Earth. Even electricity though that notably took more effort.
It seems demonic power fills in the gaps of what you don't know in order to get the effect you desire.
In DXD a human would need to do numerous calculations to decide the factors of their spell. How the energy is generated, how large the spell is, what direction it is shooting, etcetera. But demonic power can be all 'oh? You want that guy and his three friends dead? A sweeping explosion? Alright I got you.' Then it just creates a wave of fiery explosions that sweep across the surroundings.
But. There's a few limitations to demonic power.
Its body enhancement aspect and ease of use is certainly powerful. But with human magic, you could do much more complex things. Like manipulate gravity. Or maybe some sort of spell that only targets a certain race.
Racism magic.
Hey, wait...
Isn't that kind of what slayer magics are? and what Law and Fairy Law are?
I shake my head, closing my eyes.
Demonic Magic is also slightly less efficient. Not noticeable, really because on average Devils just have more magical power than humans, but it is still worthy of note.
Anyways, I've also more or less started on silk make.
And let me just say...
Wow. Silk feels really good.
I'm currently working on designing some clothes.
"Annnndyyyyy!" Rias calls out.
"Yes?" I ask, eyes slowly straying across the room.
"Make me some cute new clothes!" The girl pouts.
"I've been trying to do that for the past couple of weeks now." I reply with a half-lidded stare.
"But you haven't even taken my... measurements... yet." The girl continues.
"I'll do that after I decide on a design." I frown, closing my eyes.
"Do you want a suit?"
"Mnnn" the girl hums, cocking her head to the side. "If I want to be professional, I guess."
She seems to think on it some more. "Actually, that sounds quite nice! I bet I could ROCK a suit!"
"I'll give it the basic strengthening and stain resistance enchantments. I'm going to try a new technique where I weave two thin layers together with the runes on the inside of the cloth." I decide before slowly nodding. "I'll start with pants. That'll probably be simpler."
"Oh! Can you put the Gremory crest on the back?!" The girl grins
"If you show me what it looks like I'll try." I nod slowly.
"AWESOME!" She beams.
"..."
"So. Where's Koneko and Valerie?"
"Oh. They went to be escorts for a caravan. They'll be back sometime tomorrow." The girl states. "So... we have the whole house to ourselves."
"Mhm?" I note as I look over my archive window, deciding what color of suit would look better for Rias.
"Andy." The girl pouts. "You can't be this dense."
"I'm not. You're too young for me." I reply. "Come back when you're eighteen."
"I'm curious... you said you were Isekai'd, riiiiight? So, like, how old are you?"
"Mentally or physically?" I question.
"B-Both?"
"Mentally? It's... it's been about a year since I came here, so nearing twenty-three. Physically? Whatever's convenient to me at that very moment." I blandly shrug. "Schrodinger's age, if you were. If there's a 'thirteen year olds eat for free' deal at a restaurant. I'm thirteen. If I need to be like... I don't know, eighteen to drink, I'm eighteen."
"Hmph. A mere seven year age gap is literally nothing for devils." The girl huffs.
"So. Has anything interesting happened on your missions?" I question, changing the subject as I begin to spin together a deep burgundy strip of cloth.
I'll likely make some more colors just to see what looks better on Rias.
I didn't want to go full red or a deep black. Purple wouldn't look good on her. I can already tell.
Well, maybe? I'll check.
A light blue would clash horribly... she might be able to pull off a darker blue suit though... one that is a similar shade of blue that burgundy is to red.
Green? PHAHAHA absolutely not.
So. Navy blue, Burgundy, Black... hm... white could work as well, it'd make her red hair look even more striking.
"Well. There's a new girl at the guild hall now." Rias begins.
"Hm?" I hum, eye flicking over to her. "Is that so?"
"You'd know that if you actually WENT to the guild this past month!" The woman growls.
"I'm gonna be honest. The fact that I'm routinely taking a shower every other day is already an achievement for me." I shoot back with a dry tone.
She pouts at me.
"Please continue?" I gesture for her to continue with her story as I create a strip of navy blue cloth next. I hold it up, the cloth covering Rias' upper torso.
Nnnnope not feeling this one.
"Well, it was a brown haired girl named Cana. She so cute! She's got some nifty card magic from what I've seen."
"Ah? Card magic? Like Gam-"
"Like Gambit!"
"I thought you were a weeb. Not a geek."
"I CAN BE BOTH, ANDY!" She proudly exclaims.
"You're probably any nerd's wet dream." I snort with an eye roll.
"Am I yours?"
"No comment." I weakly reply. "So... this Cana girl. Anything else about her?"
"She seems really interested in that one Gildarts guy..."
"Ah. Fairy Tail's strongest S-Class." I nod slowly.
"You know him?" Rias blinks.
"I've heard of him, if that's what you mean. They had to physically install a bunch of mechanical parts under the city to slide buildings out of the way to the guild because he kept accidentally breaking shit." I scoff, looking back to my strips of cloth.
"W-What?"
"Yeah. Ridiculous. Buuuuut he's arguably one of the strongest mages in Fiore let alone Fairy Tail... I am honestly unsure who'd win between him and the guild master. She either has a crush- hilarious considering Gildart's magic is named 'Crush', or maybe she's his daughter that he doesn't know about. Who knows. He seems reckless enough to not know he has a daughter."
I look to Rias. "So. What color do you want the suit?"
"I'll leave that up to you. After all I haven't read six books on fashion." The girl smiles.
"Black, Grey, or Burgundy. Take your pick."
"Red's nice. So, I'll go with the Burgundy."
"Nice... here. Take this money and go buy me a mannequin."
Rias blinks twice.
"What? You just expect me to magic up some clothes and have it fit perfectly to you? I'll need to size them and I doubt you'd want to stand there for possibly hours while I slowly but surely create a pair of pants for you... let alone the dress shirt, jacket, vest, and- oh. I should probably ask... are you more of a bow-tie kind of girl or do you want a legitimate tie?"
"Tie."
"Correct." I nod slowly, planning to roast the hell out of her had she chosen bow tie. Probably saying something like 'what are you? Some little kid in a propeller hat with a comically sized swirled lolipop?'. But seeing as how she didn't, I'll move onto other things. "Any special enchantments?"
"Durability is a must."
"Of course." I agree.
"Stain resistance would also be helpful. Virgo already works a lot."
"Honestly, she asks for more work, but fair point, getting a stain would make you look less professional." I add in.
"Some mild mending in case something does rip it?" She suggests.
"Ah. Slight issue with that... I haven't figured out mending quite yet. It wasn't in the book so I'm having to experiment a bit." I quickly cut in.
"Fire resistance, then?"
I nod sagely. "It'd work well with the base color."
"A shield?"
"Now hang on a moment." I begin. "I MIGHT be able to fit a shield spell in it, but if you want anything that actually matters, I doubt I'll have a way to fit both it, the durability, stain, and fire resistance enchantments as well."
"I guess I can just shield myself with demonic power, then." She shrugs idly. "Yes. This sounds good."
I scratch my chin, closing my eyes. "I also need to finish up those gloves for Grimmel... actually I should finish before I even start a new project."
I can already feel Rias' pouty aura.
"Shouldn't take long, though. If I get to work I should be able to finish them up by tomorrow night... then I get a new takeover."
*Ping*
An-
An email?- OH RIIIIGHT I should be getting my R.O.B. quest sometime soon!
I open the email, my mouth thinning.
"..."
"Alright, soooo change of plans." I mutter under my breath.
"huh?" The girl blinks.
She quickly makes her way over to me, sitting right beside me, her eyes skimming the screen as she lets out a gasp.
New Objective:
Beast that is currently in and could be said to be inhabiting the East:

But what if? What if it were to die prematurely... what if Ur Milkovich, someone who is comparable to a Wizard Saint didn't have to sacrifice her life to seal the demon away? What would happen then?
I stare at the text for a long moment. "You have got to be kidding me... DELIORA?! REALLY?!"
"ANDY! A MISSION!" The girl exclaims.

My mouth is a flat line as Rias and I slowly look between each other and the screen.
"Fuuuuuuck." I hiss. "This is going to suck."
"You talked about a second origin... but what's a third Origin, Andy? Is there an extra magical container or something?" Rias tilts her head to the side.
"A third origin shouldn't be compared to the second origin... it's basically an all or nothing technique. In one singular moment you unlock all the magical power you EVER would have wielded making you practically a god for a short time... however..."
"You lose your magic when that time runs out... don't you?" Rias frowns.
"Yes." I nod once.
"Then... we need to get you your third origin stabilized! Then- then you can use it whenever you want, right?"
"Slight issue with that... I doubt I could kill Deliora even if I had years to train. He's just too tanky and powerful. Doing it in six months is asking far too much."
I rise to my feet and begin pacing back and forth, cupping my chin. "Hell, defeating it at all is already kind of a task in and of itself. You've felt Gramp's magical power, right? This Ur person is a wizard-saint level of strength just like him."
"Well..." Rias mutters under her breath. "We have advantages that he doesn't."
"True." I nod quietly, a frown on my lips. "I wonder..."
"Oh? Do you have an idea?!" Rias smirks.
"Less an idea more of a... well... what's less than an idea... a hunch?" I reply.
"Notion?" Rias suggests.
"More of a vague concept." I sigh.
"Well, what is it?"
I raise a single finger. "Ofuda."
"Huh?" The girl blinks.
"Japanese exorcist use Ofuda to seal ghosts, youkai, dark spirits, and demons... and you've gotten me a few books on the art that I haven't even begun to look into yet." A small smile slowly forms across my lips. "If I want any chance against that... I'll need to prepare thoroughly over the course of these next months."
"I don't know if the Japanese Paper Seals will really work on it. They said it's really big, right? A kaiju?"
"Then I'll just make some out of silk and create a seal the size of a house... and if that fails you use your power of destruction to lobotomize it." I decide. "But first... I'll need to actually learn the art... Glasses me, Rias!"
"Yeah!"
Well... the Rob's forcing Andy to make some moves. Who knows if this'll pay off. With enough prep time I bet he could win though. just like batman.
oh! and this'll be my last update for the year! *Cough* I mean... for unseen circumstances I believe I'll be forced to take a year-long Hiatus... see you all in a few days.
