(Mid Chapter Authors Notes)

I look over my body, a frown on my lips.

In just one moment, my power level almost quadrupled... that was... an experience... did that free perk just give me the equivalent of an extra zenkai? That's sort of kick ass.

I'm fairly certain I'm the strongest in town now... by like a large margin.

Also... I have a Pocket Dimension now? that is... neat?

Like, a personal one... I also have some sort of 'demiplane' which holds my mine.

At least I'll have a place to keep spare clothes.

It appears I can also 'equip' items as well. In fact, I also have a 'vanity' where I can just flat out 'hide' what I am wearing or change it into another type of clothing.

But that was free... meaning I still have all my points. ROLL TIME!

Rolling.
Behold Haxcalibur (Worth: 400 CF)
Congrats, you broke the crafting system. Anything and everything you make, build, enchant, or otherwise create is now ten times better than it really ought to be. Make an ordinary dagger that does 12 damage? Now it does 120. Pick up an endgame weapon and enhance it for its supposed max of 200 damage? 2000. Guns that hold more bullets and do more damage, magic staffs that massively amplify your magic, armor that shrugs off OHKO's, potions that let you ignore 110% of fire damage, weapons with ten or twenty enchantments. And if that wasn't enough, you'll learn anything crafting related ten times as fast, just to blow the competition out of the water even more.

"..."

Hah?

That-

Okay?

I guess I'll be taking this... I mean, I don't get why I wouldn't.

I might take up the art of sofamaking... purely to make a very comfortable chair for myself.

I'm fifty points short...

I lock it in.

A wave of energy washes over me, the tipped trashcans and exploded cars seem to fix themselves, a few people appear here and there, those who died in the conflict.

"Well... I guess it's over, then." I sigh as I rise to my feet.

I'm going to bed. Today was exhausting.

"So. What do we know?" A pink skinned woman with short orange hair questions as she walks alongside a similar looking girl.

They were birthed from the same fruit, after all. Something with a near infinitely small chance.

"Earlier today, numerous Time Breaker forces teleported into the protected space for Era Gaia. Judging by the technology left in certain places, it appears that numerous portals were somehow opened to a nearby dimension which housed their attacking force." The second replies.

"Technology? That implies that they had people in the Time Patrol in order to set it up." The first notes.

"That's right." Wairu nods.

"Who?"

"That... is what we are trying to figure out. We have theories, but not anything concrete." The kai begins.

"What do we have?" Chronoa questions.

She had been left almost entirely out of the loop due to what's happening in the time nest. Dozens of important keystone events were targeted at once... from Raditz to Goku's battle with Omega Shenron.

"We believe that the time breakers contacted those in Era Gaia who were... dissatisfied with their stay here." Wairu Grimaces. "Which I believe might have been a result of mishandling by those who were responsible for getting the new additions settled."

"Wait- is- is he a suspect?"

"I'm not sure." Wairu bluntly shakes her head. "It's certainly possible. He himself has been burned by this inefficient system of ours. But... he himself has stated that it is going much better for him now."

"We will be forced to thoroughly check our managers... if this is true, a lot of them will need to be replaced. Even if they aren't part of the time breakers, they still allowed this to happen." The supreme kai of time frowns. "The damages?"

"All fixed with a use of the Black Star dragonballs." Wairu nods once.

"We... might need to replace those soon and let them sit for a few thousand years." Chronoa frowns. "I don't even want to think of what black star shadow dragon would be like."

Chronoa splits into two, an illusion forming over one of the clones. "I'm going to go look over things really fast."

"You mean that you want to go visit your saiyan friend?" Wairu questions with a knowing smile.

"N-NO!" The girl and her sputter at the same time. "I just want to see what happened to the cities."

"Suuuuure." Wairu rolls her eyes.

"Mining away." I hum to myself as I repeatedly punch a solid rock wall. "I don't know what to mine, I'll mine this anyway... in this Minecraft day- so beautiful-"

A literal mountain of earth smashes down on me as the ceiling collapses.

"HAAAAAH!" I roar, exploding my aura and creating a cavity for me.

The earth is utterly vaporized, but large hunks of greenish rock fall to the floor which I pick up, making small 'pop' noises with my mouth.

What am I doing right now, you might ask?

Collecting ore...

That's it.

I've got some iron... then there's the special skyrim metals which I am going to be carrying a metric assload of.

"This is probably good enough." I decide as more dirt begins to crumble downwards.

I blast upwards, energy surging as I carve through the earth, eventually shooting out the top of a mountain with a rattling boom.

"Now... for the other things I wanted to do today."

I had made the energy constructs that normally mine things for me fuck off so I could fulfil the masculine urge to dig a hole.

My clothes swap to stretchy saiyan armor.

As my power begins to rise, my body grows, golden fur quickly spreading across my body.

After a few seconds I land with a colossal thud, my large feet creating craters in the earth.

I let out a low growl, a golden tail swishing behind me.

"How do I fucking work this-"

A searing pain seems to enter my mind as my body begins to shrink, it's like a single puzzle piece clicking into place. An annoying ache that disappears the second you pop your back, a rubix cube being solved.

It feels... right.

A low growl leaves my mouth, this pain dulling as I grasp hold of my body with Biokinesis- the best power I could have ever gotten- all that remains is an annoying itch.

I let out a loud roar, throat aching as my power surges higher and higher.

"HRAAAGH!"

The land around me is blown away trees uprooted, the mountain crumbling slightly.

I look to my hands which shake, spying red fur travel up my arms from my wrists.

The corner of my mouth turns upwards as I allow my full energy to explode outwards, utterly glassing the little mountain mine. Molten slag begins to drip down and pool at the bottom of the massive crater.

*Ping*
Become a Super Saiyan 4: +500

"Heh... heheheh... HAHAHAHAHAH!" I laugh, power surging.

"Haaah." I smile before doing a few lightning fast jabs.

"Heh. Never thought I'd grow this strong." I observe, my voice sounding rougher... harsher... stern with an undercutting edge to it. "This would be more than enough to put that fucking snake frieza into the ground... no doubt about that... hell, I doubt it'd make much of a difference if he could also do that mask thing Cooler does..."

"Hell, I might even be a reasonable match for the likes of Cell."

My power abruptly surges as I blur through the sky, blood pumping loudly through my ears.

I stop, allowing the sonic boom to catch up.

"If I couldn't before... that'd let me do it." I mutter, gazing down at my fist.

Behold Haxcalibur has been purchased.

"Roll again."

Rolling.
The black books: (Worth 400)
Created by Hermeous Mora, Daedric Prince of Knowledge, these seven books are tomes of esoteric knowledge with a special property to them. By reading them, you will be taken to an island within the realm of Apocrypha, and subjected to a test. What this test is differs from book to book, ranging from complex puzzles to a gauntlet of combat. If you die in the books, you will be returned to the real world unharmed, but should you succeed you will be granted powerful abilities.

I drop from my super saiyan four form, a skeptical frown on my lips.

Nnnnnno. Yeah. This is a bad idea. Gonna pass.

I watch it re-roll. 'come on something good... ANYTHING good... I just want something that doesn't fuck me over or-'

"..."

"oh... oh shit..."

"Heh..." I laugh. "heheheh... AHAHAHAHAHAH!"

I madly cackle at my new perk, a bright grin on my face. "OH THIS IS JUST PERFECT!"

Bundled Power: Minor Blessings, Unnatural Skill, Divine Child (Worth 700 CF)
Minor blessings (100CF) For one reason or another you've got a god who cares slightly about you and has seen fit to grant you some minor boon within their domains. Choose one god from any pantheon and gain a minor boon from them. The god will care slightly about you but unless you go on to further distinguish yourself it will be more of a minor interest in your affairs than someone they feel the need to help (Effectively think a diminished version of one ability a demigod might have, think minor ones are stuff along the lines of breathing water, lucid dreaming, or appropriate vague extra senses, useful but nothing especially major). This can be taken multiple times.

Unnatural Skill (200CF) Whether from your heritage or just being that good you've got one particular mundane skill that your feats which border on supernatural. Whether you're a smith on the level of the Cyclopes, a near prescient tactician or a swordsman who is nigh unstoppable with a blade your feats will be legendary. You are on a level within your skill such that only other beings of legend can hope to match you. This may be taken multiple times. You may not choose magic but you may choose a particular application of magic if you have it already (so curses, enchanting might work, more specific gets a bigger boost).

Divine Child (400CF) You are the direct child of a god of your associated pantheon and gain various benefits from this. You gain lesser manifestations of your parent's domains as well as generally being better than an ordinary mortal. You may take most any god as your parent but to take one of the heads of a pantheon as a parent you must take the "Fate finds you interesting" drawback receiving no points for it (you can also do this with a lesser god to get greater powers). Generally this will give you insight into and some control over your divine parent's domains, a son of Poseidon for example can control water and ships, talk to horses, cause minor earthquakes and is empowered within water.

"Purchase it all!"

250 CF short. Would you like to lock in this perk?

Ah... I can't... just get the first and second now and lock in the third?

I pause, looking over the perk itself, eyes narrowing slightly.

"How does one make two hundred and fifty points as quickly as possible... and how can I fully abuse this."

I blink twice, a plan coming to mind. "Well... that second perk... 'You may not choose magic but you may choose a particular application of magic if you have it already'. So if I choose something extremely specific... say for instance... kaioken... I might be brought to the forefront of Kaioken mastery in the time patrol."

Plus, Kaioken is probably an achievement, as is 'Mastering' super saiyan.

Yes! That should do it!

Wait... or I could get legendary super saiyan!

Let's try it!

My hair flashes gold, sticking straight up as a brilliant aura surrounds me, I gain a firm grasp on my capability of feeling pain then slowly tap into the Ikari state.

My power rises higher and higher, the golden aura beginning to shift in color.

My body bulks up slightly as I reach a times ten multiplier... but nothing happens.

"Huh..." I mutter.

I feel surprisingly in control... That is unusual.

I drop out of super saiyan, focusing on Ikari itself.

Ten times... t-twenty? Thirty?! Forty... fifty...

There was NO WAY I could have used Ikari up to fifty in super saiyan! That's ridiculous! Fifteen AT MOST!

So why does it feel like I can keep going?

Seventy five.

One hundred.

One fifty. Two hundred.

My power balloons outwards, the ground shaking, but I can still keep going.

Three hundred. Four hundred.

Ikari has officially surpassed regular super saiyan. one or three it doesn't matter anymore.

Five hundred-

My body shudders slightly, an immense- but dull pain washing over me as I tried to jump up to six hundred.

"Alright body. Five hundred's the limit. I get it." I whisper under my breath.

But what if I-

The strain lessens as my strength surges. The multiplier from Ikari growing larger and larger.

Six hundred. Seven hundred. Seven fifty-

I drop the form entirely quickly healing myself.

"Well..." I whisper under my breath. "Seven hundred and fifty- times one point five- is the overall limit it appears... so about a fourth of super saiyan four?"

I am curious though... why was I able to access so much more?

I ponder for a long moment.

"Could Ikari... be like... sort of an 'Ultimate' form? Drawing out the power of my stronger forms while retaining my 'base' form?

The reason I can push it so high is because of Super Saiyan Four, right?

The question remains, what happens if I try this with Super Saiyan four? Adrenaline boost works with it, but will Ikari?

"I suppose that's a question for another day... but damn I think I want to enter a tournament!"

"You're good." I state as I look over someone. Their ribs were utterly cracked before, but now they're just left with a bruise. "Your strained muscles will heal on their own. Give it a day or two."

We've been getting a lot of training related injury patients over the past twenty four hours. So, I'm sort of rationing my magical power.

It appears that nobody wants to be in the position they were in before. Where someone else can freely decide if they are to live or die.

I can respect it, honestly. I'm still sort of seething about being lain low by APPULE.

The only way it could have been worse if some sort of time breaker Mr. Satan showed up instead.

"Um... excuse me..."

I blink twice, turning towards the voice of a person I didn't feel the approach of.

"Oh! It's you." I note.

The girl from the bar a while back.

"Hello Scallion!" She beams.

"Hi... I... don't think I ever... got your name?"

"Oh..." The girl blinks twice. "It's Toki."

"Toki..." I repeat. "Well, Hello Toki, are you hurt? What can I do for you?"

"I just wanted to make sure you were well... ah... that idea you gave me really came in handy for my work." She begins.

"It wasn't really that big of a deal... you're the one who learned it." I shrug.

"..."

"Your eyes are still golden..."

"They are." I nod, a small ghost of a smile on my lips.

"Ah! I came here to see if you were alright... how did you fare in the... attack?"

"Oh. Nearly died. Got a pretty big zenkai out of it. Saved the town with that Super Saiyan girl." I admit with a small shrug. "It was pretty tame, honestly. We got lucky. The strongest enemy here barely surpassed... like fifteen million."

"So that form of yours has power comparable to super saiyan?!"

"Yeah." I nod once.

"That's SO cool!" The girl gasps, eyes practically filling with stars.

I turn as another person enters the building.

Man... these academy students are really abusing the fact that we heal them for free for training related injuries...

"One second." I state as I turn and walk over to the young boy with a broken arm.

His arm fixes itself almost instantly.

"You are... surprisingly good at that." The girl behind me notes.

"It's helped." I admit. "Probably would have died without it."

"What exactly did you have to deal with out of curiosity?"

"Ah... just some frieza force grunts that could probably knock around third form frieza like it was nothing. There was a cyborg as well around five times as strong as them as well, but we managed to take care of him pretty easily."

"I- Oh come on... I literally JUST healed you not even two hours ago. What are you even doing?" I question, looking to someone being carried into the room, clutching their ribs. "I'll heal you, but if you're back in the next day or two I'm just going to let you sit and suffer for a while."

With a golden flash the teen is healed. A lot of saiyans have been doing this.

A low breath leaves my lips as I turn, looking to the namekian that hired me. "Hey, Boss, I'm almost out of energy."

"Take a break." He waves off with a small sigh. "I've almost recovered all of my own."

I turn, taking a seat at one of the many chairs around the room.

"So... did you fight anything?" I ask the android girl as she takes a seat next to me.

"Ah, well, there were a few. The time breakers have their own androids that are quite powerful. Mass produced. They're nothing to laugh at though."

"How strong are they roughly?"

"Oh... there's several types." The girl admits. "Different versions. Each 'mark' being considerably more powerful than the last... I think the weakest is around... maybe around the power of Android nineteen before he was destroyed by Vegeta? But they're all infinite energy models like eighteen, seventeen, thirteen, fourteen and fifteen."

Ah... yeah. That would have been a bit of a problem had one been here. I might have been forced to try super saiyan four early.

This girl is kind of weird... seeking me out like this... but eh, whatever.

"So... do you maybe want to go out to drink again when I'm off? Trade stories and all that?"

"Sure!"

Alright. I'm almost ninety percent sure she's Chronoa. I mean, first off 'Toki'... that's the name of the time bird... Toki Toki. Second off, she let a few things slip after drinking a bit, mainly stories that made her sound older than she looks... like 'that top time patroller used to be just a snot nosed brat back when Toki Toki city was a thing!"

But whatever!

I fold my arms behind my head as I take a seat at the base of a tree, overlooking a small lake, a large waterfall pouring down the face of a nearby cliff.

This is... peaceful. I like it.

My hair is a bright gold as I sit within the super saiyan form, an aura crackling around me.

I'm attempting to 'master' this form.

It'll probably take some time... but, hey, immortal guy here. I've got time.

It's a careful balancing act, honestly.

Suppress it too much... and you drop out of the form completely. Too little, and you're not really doing anything beyond wasting your energy.

Ikari wasn't like that... frankly, it was originally a little hard to turn off.

I suppose that might be a remnant of the fact that it is an Oozaru-based transformation. You can't exactly turn that off. You need to either have your tail cut off, or destroy the moon to get out of that form.

I assume some people can restrain themselves from entering the form like I can, probably the super saiyan fours, but the main thing is that you need to LEARN how to stop it. Super saiyan stops on its own.

I spy a gentle glinting light in the distance causing me to let out a low hum as I rise to my feet.

I float forwards, landing with a crouch at the edge of the lake, gentle little ripples splashing against the shore.

I crouch down, hand digging through the loose sandy dirt.

Eventually I pull out... a Potara earring?

"What is-"

DANGER

Without a second of hesitation my power surges, red fur creeps along my arms as the water in front of me explodes, a large figure shooting from the lakebed.

My jaw cracks as I am punched in the face, shooting across the landscape.

"GHH-" I grunt as I crash into a mountain face, carving through the soft outer layer and smashing into the much harder interior.

"Ssssss." I lowly hiss.

Jaw's broken... shoulder... is also broken.

I think a rib punctured one of my lungs.

A golden aura envelopes me as I let out a low breath, pulling myself out of the rubble.

"Fucking horrid week." I grumble. "Second time I've been forced to take a dirt nap. Not a fan."

There's a blur in front of me, my power surging as I narrowly duck to the side. 'what the hell- who's the Frankenstein?'

Though... I suppose that's incorrect; Frankenstein was the doctor. This would be more Frankenstein's monst-

I narrowly duck backwards, avoiding a punch, a kick is countered with one of my own. The earring is shunted away into my inventory as I slug the strange- Android... I punch an android in the face causing it to get launched back, allowing me precious milliseconds to catch my breath and sort through my thoughts.

Alright.

This is probably one of the androids Chronoa was talking about. A mass produced model. But certainly not one of the weaker ones...

It has purplish skin with large lined patches of skin on its body like a namekian, its head is large and rectangular, being made mostly of metal, the entire top of its skull above the eyebrows is made of some sort of alloy, two piercing- emotionless- greenish blue eyes stare at me. A broken infinity symbol emblazened on the android's forehead.

He wears a black leotard with the number '8000' on the front of it.

A fist soars just past my cheek as I tilt my head to the side, punching the robot in the stomach twice, a ki blast forms in its hand, but I quickly deflect it downwards, with a swat of my hand.

It won't destroy the planet at least... it's far too durable for that.

A thin beam of Ki is shot from my fingertips, it scorches the hardened skin of the time breaker robot, slightly drilling into its body.

I grasp its wrist as it punches towards me, turning and hurling it downwards.

I quickly follow behind it, foot crashing into its throat as I force it down into the earth below.

My sword slides from its sheathe as I slash at the bulky gorilla-like robot.

My attack barely leaves a scratch even as I pump the blade full of energy.

"Sturdy bastard, aren't you?" I growl as I leap back, raising an arm above my head. "EAT THIS!"

As Ki collects above my hand, I swing my arm downwards, creating a massive pillar of energy that washes over the android.

A cloud of dirt explodes around me, obscuring my vision, so I quickly back away, freeing myself from the dust cloud.

The cloud bulges, the bulky robot flying towards me, an emotionless stare boring into me, sparks spraying from the side of its head where some of the metal had been knocked loose.

"I wonder." I begin with a small grin.

I duck its charge, quickly blurring over to the water.

The android is quick despite being so bulky, easily catching up with me, my only saving grace is the danger sense of my sword once more, allowing me to block and deflect its attacks.

'If this draws out, I'll certainly lose, the main issue is that it's quite a bit stronger than me... quite a bit more durable as well, I spent around a tenth of my energy to give that guy the equivalent of a bloody nose. So let's try this.'

I land a brutal axe kick atop the android's skull its large cylindrical ice cream tub of a head acting like a great target as it is punted downwards.

Its momentum halts just before it crashes into the lake, creating a ripple that cascades outwards.

But.

It's too late.

I punch the robot into the lake itself and quickly fly backwards, charging a Ki Blast in my hand.

After around ten seconds the android explodes out of the water, body shaking, head twitching, eyes sparking. It is notably slower now, its flight jerky and uncontrolled. It's not that difficult to spy an opportunity to finish this.

"Such a shame that I fucked up your water proofing." I smile.

"Error." It speaks for the first time, voice deep and distorted.

"Sorry about that." I smirk. "Now it's time to toss you to the curb, you overgrown microwave."

I fly forwards, holding out a hand to the open part of its head, then unleash a point-blank wave of Ki that enters the hole.

*BOOM*

The air ripples as the android falls slack, smoke pours from its now empty eye sockets, and out of the hole in the side of its head.

"Heh." I huff, and with a single kick I spike the body to the shore where it lands with a rattle, one of the arms breaking off and rolling to a halt a short distance away.

I float down, exhaustion filling my body as I drop from super saiyan four. Landing before it, I grab my scouter from my inventory, slipping it on.

I take a photo of the destroyed android, hand coming up to do a peace-sign in frame.

"This is going to go SO hard for my spacebook." I chuckle under my breath.

Yes, I actually rolled the bundle... 1d4 into celestial forge, into a 1/38 into a 1/60. FUCK! you lucky bastard.
