"Now" Rayleigh turned his attention to Spencer startling him and the rest of his crew.

Spencer swallowed a lump in his throat when he saw the look in Rayleigh's eyes .Now he regretted drugging them and dragging them into his ship. If he hadn't done that he wouldn't have been dragged in this mess.

"Wait, Rayleigh" Roger immediately jumped in front of Rayleigh when he saw him reaching for the hilt of his sword.

"What the hell are you doing Roger? Move! "Rayleigh said as he tried to move passed Roger to no avail.

"Come on Rayleigh. Look at them. They are pitiful " Roger said as he pointed at the beaten up vulture bounty hunters.

"Roger is right. They might be more useful alive than dead" Naruto said with a nonchalant tone.

The vulture pirates watched fearfully as their life and death were discussed in a carefree manner.

"Very well" Rayleigh relented before sheathing his sword back causing the bounty hunters to sigh in relief.

Naruto turned to Spencer and said" Hey you, you mentioned something about a marines base earlier. Where exactly are we heading?

"We are no longer heading there"

"Not that it's a bad thing, but why?" Naruto asked, concerned about the sudden change of plans.

"You guys need information. And I know just the place to get it"

"Where?"

"Drum kingdom." Spencer answered with a dull expression. Today was the worst day for his crew. What was originally supposed to be an easy job had quickly gone out of hand. If he had known he would have not gotten involved with them.

"Drum kingdom?" Rayleigh furrowed his brows before he turned to Spencer and demanded. "Where is your log pose? Give it to me"

Spencer was about to refuse but when he saw Rayleigh reaching for the hilt of his sword he immediately turned to Taro and ordered. "Taro, give them the log pose"

"Spencer are you sure?" Taro looked uncertain when he heard his Friend/captain ordering him to give away their lifeline. But what he didn't know was that Spencer was doing this out of the fact that he was afraid Rayleigh would massacre his whole crew if he refused.

"Give it to him, Taro. It's not like we have any choice to begin with" Spencer said causing Taro to click his tongue in disdain before tossing the log pose at Rayleigh.

After Taro handed the log pose to Rayleigh Spencer immediately added when he saw Rayleigh about to walk away. "I can take you guys there if you want. I know the water around that place. But in exchange I ask that you let my crew go"

"Captain?" The bounty hunters turned to their captain with tears in their eyes .They were drawn tears by their citizen compassion. Every one of them has been a part of the vulture bounty group since it's creation. They have gone through thick and thin together. Nobody knows their captain better than they do. And their thoughts was confirmed with their captain next words.

" I am officially disbanding the vulture bounty hunters group.

" Captain! The vulture crew members shouted in protest. Although they had expected that captain to take such a drastic decision who was beyond their expectations.

" You can't do that captain!

" We won't leave you !"

" We are the vulture bounty hunter crew, we came been through worst !"

" Yeah "

" He's right "

" Of course "

" We won't submit to some measly pirates ! "

" Enough! " Taro shouted silencing the group. However, rather than get angry they all looked at him with pity and sadness.

As the vice Captain of the vulture bounty crew, he and Spencer had put in considerable work and effort into making their bounty crew into a well known one, even if it was only in this part of the sea.

Ignoring their expressions Taro continued. "The captain has already decided our next course of action. As of this day the vulture bounty crew is no more. You guys no longer have any Obligations to us. Once we get to the next Island. We will all go our separate ways"

Taro fought back his tears after he finished speaking trying His hardest not to cry. His heart felt heavy right now. The vulture bounty crew was their life and dream. And now they were being forced to give that up.

'Vice captain'

"Are you satisfied now?" Spencer asked Rayleigh with regrets evident in his eyes.

"Good" Rayleigh nodded apathetically before adding. "Now, have them abandon ship"

"What?!" The whole crew panicked when they heard Rayleigh's words. Abandon ship? That was practically asking for them to give.

Spencer immediately stepped up and shouted. "You can't do that! There is no island in sight as far as I can see. And moreover, the ship is too big for just the five of us to handle"

"He is right, Rayleigh. We can't do it alone. It won't be too late to get rid of them later" Naruto said with a shrug. Although the ship wasn't too big that the five of them couldn't handle it, it would just be stressful. Being the rational one out of the three of them Rayleigh should know this.

After a short moment of contemplation, Rayleigh relented and said. "Fine. They can stay. But if they try anything funny." To get his message across, Rayleigh placed his hand on the hilt of his sword in a threatening fashion causing them to take a step back in fear.

"We won't, I swear!"

"Never!"

"We swear on our lives"

"I don't want to die!"

The bounty hunters shouted in fear. They have all seen what Rayleigh could do with a sword. Neither of them wanted to be on the receiving end of it.

When Rayleigh saw the fear in their eyes, he took his hand off the sword and said.

"Good. Now all of you to your station. We set sail for arabasta"

"You heard the boss, all of you to your stations if you still want to keep your heads" Taro shouted when he saw Rayleigh reaching out for his sword again. The bounty hunters immediately responded.

"Man the main sails! raise the anchor! Set a course for arabasta!"

"Setting a course for Drum kingdom!"

"I feel more like a tyrant than a pirate right now" Roger said when he saw the bounty hunters running around the ship with fearful expression on their faces.

"What's the difference?" Naruto asked blankly from beside Roger.

"Being a pirate is more fun" Roger laughed causing Naruto to facepalm at his flippant attitude. 'Idiot'

"Drum kingdom here we come!"

And just like that the crew set off for Drum kingdom. A lot of things happened on their journey. One of them being the total destruction and capture of the gorge pirates by a marine battleship. The incident had happened not long after the gorge pirates suffered defeat at their hands. It was said that they were brought down by the same marine that captured their captain.

This news came as a shock to everyone in the first half of the Grand line, most especially the Roger pirates.

However the biggest news was the assimilation of many infamous pirate groups to become a single pirate crew. This incident took the world by surprise, since the pirates were all big figures known across the Grand lines. There still wasn't news about the reason for this joint action or the one in charge of it which made everyone nervous and curious about it mysterious leader.

A lot of things happened during their time at sea. Some good, some bad while others had everyone on their feet. Especially the rookie marines that has been terrorizing pirates everywhere.

After almost a week at sea the ship finally arrived at the harbor of arabasta.

"Land ahoy" A bounty hunter shouted from on top the crow nest before pointing into the distance.

The crew turned in the direction he pointed at only to see a Winter island with tall icy mountains in the shape of drums.

"Here we are Drum kingdom" Spencer introduced at the grand sight of the desert kingdom. Despite it being a winter island the kingdom was still a beautiful sight to see. Snow flakes fell down from the cloud.

The ship soon arrived at the harbor and docked beside the other ships. Some of the ships even had a Jolly Roger signifying that they belonged to pirates. After they disembarked the vulture bounty crew disbanded after a heartbreaking goodbye but Taro chose to remain by Spencer's side.

"Man it freezing here" Naruto shivered uncontrollably. He could feel the cold in his bone.

"It's the climate condition here. Drum kingdom is known as a winter island. It always winter all year round" Spencer said as the ship neared the harbor.

"If I knew I would have bought some sun scream" Naruto groaned as he tried to shake off the could.

"This island is way too cold. It makes me feel like I'm about to Freeze over" Roger laughed as he walked through the busy town of Drum kingdom. He wondered how the people of this island could go about their days with smiles on their faces despite the cold weather.

"Can you two stop drawing attention to yourselves?" Spencer questioned when he saw people casting strange looks their way when they heard them complaining.

"Good luck with that " Rayleigh scoffed when he saw the frustration on Spencer's face. For once he was glad that someone else could experience what he had to endure every day.

"By the way where are we going?" Naruto asked Spencer perplexed. Not long after they had gotten of the ship Spencer had claimed to know a place where they could gather information.

"It's a bar not too far from here, Taro and I used to go there a lot to buy and sell information." Taro nodded along with Spencer's words.

"A bar?!" Naruto and the others promptly snapped towards Spencer and taro.

"what?" Spencer blinked owlishly at them before he was suddenly hit by a sense of epiphany and shouted. "No, no, no! it's not like that I swear!"

How could he have been so stupid? The whole reason he was in this mess in the first place was because he had invited into a bar.

"It not what you guys think! We meant well this time" Taro immediately added in to prevent them from losing their lives over a little misunderstanding.

Rayleigh sheathed his sword back and said. "Well it doesn't matter. If the bars turns out to be a fluke I won't hesitate to cut you up"

"Understood. We are here already" Spencer said as he pointed at a plain cooking bar hiding in a corner of the snow covered street.

"Well then let's go!" Roger shouted before matching into the bar with the rest following behind him.

The bell at the entrance of the bar chimed alerting the inhabitants of the new arrivals. They turned towards the door to see a group of five walking into the bar. They looked away shortly after scrutinizing the group.

"This way" Taro said before leading the group toward the bar counter where an old man was busy filling the shelves.

Spencer slammed his fist on the counter and shouted.

"Hey, old man! We'll like to order"

The old man grumbled underneath his breath, cursing them for ruining his peace. However his attitude did a180 when he turned around and saw Spencer and taro standing with the counter.

"Taro! Spencer! You guys are still alive? I thought you did after not seeing you for weeks."

"As you can see, we are still alive and well. We ran into some troubles on the way so we had to make a detour ". Spencer coughed nervously while sneaking glances at Rayleigh.

"At least you guys are well."

By the way who are those people behind you?" The old man questioned pointing at Rogers and the others. The three of them have been standing there for a while now without saying a word.

Spencer glanced at the three of them before turning back to the old man. A thin smile flicker on his face as he said.

"They are my friends. I brought them here hoping to help them get information's. Do you by chance know anything?"

"Not much" The old man stopped to pour all of them a drink then continued. " Only that they has been a lot of marines coming to this island lately. Almost like they are looking for something or someone."

"Marines?" Taro pecked up when he heard that world. " That had never happened before."

"What the hell could the marines be looking for out on an island like this" Naruto asked. The marines have a problem that they are trying to amend as much as possible.

"Beats me. Maybe it's a very dangerous pirate or something or whatever. I just hope they keep it as far and from me as possible"

As soon as he said that the door to the bar blasted open and a dozens of marines rushed into the bar startling the inhabitants.

"What's going on?" Naruto asked, feeling clueless about the situation. Rayleigh immediately turned to Spencer and taro who raised their hands signifying that they knew nothing.

The marines quickly rushed to a corner of the bar and surrounded a huge man with a bandana seating there. "You. You are under arrest."

"That man" Spencer's eyes widened when he saw the man being surrounded by the marines. A look of shock and fear appeared on his face.

"That's…"

"Gurararara" The man laughed before he grabbed the halberd resting on the side of the table and stood up, revealing his full height as he towered over the marines. The marines subconsciously took a step back in fear when they saw this. The man turned to the man leading the marines and asked. "Do you really think you can capture me with a couple of weak marines, captain?"

"Do you know that man?" Naruto asked when he heard the fear in Spencer's voice. Spencer nodded and said. "That man is Edward Newgate. He is an infamous pirate who took on a marine battleship by himself. The bounty on his head is three hundred and twenty million "

"THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY MILLION?!" Naruto and Rayleigh exclaimed in shock. Naruto turned back to look at Edward standing tall amidst the marines. Rayleigh tightened his grip on his sword When he heard that. This was the first pirate they'd encounter with such a high bounty. However despite hearing the bounty Roger didn't seem to care. Instead he laughed excitedly and said.

"This is going to be fun"

"Why are you hesitating? It's just a number we gave him. Arrest him!" The captain shouted when he saw that the marines we're still struck with fear. The marines promptly snapped out of their fear and cheated at Edward. Between their captain and the pirate, they feared their captain more.

"Then come and get me!" Edward swung the halberd in his hand In a wide arc sending a couple of marines flying. As the fight started to get tense the people in the bar started clearing out afraid of being dragged into the fight.

"Rayleigh, Naruto, let's go" Roger said

"Wait Roger?" Naruto tried to stop him but Roger has already joined the battle. Naruto and Rayleigh exchange looks and sighed before joining the fight.

"Who the hell are you guys?" A marine demanded when he saw three other people joining the fight. They weren't informed that they'll be fighting other people.

"Nobody important" Naruto answered before kicking the marine away. Edward and the marine captain that had been fighting each other also took notice of the three of them as they defeated one marine after the other.

"Who the hell are you guys?!" The marine bellowed in rage as he watched his marines get beaten unconscious.

"Your fight is with me!" Edward shouted as he swung the halberd at the marine captain prompting him to block with his katana. His arm nearly went numb from blocking the attack.

"Tsk" The captain jumped away from Edward, putting some distance between them. He looked from the Roger pirates tearing into his soldiers and Edward. His gaze filled with hate. Although he wanted to continue he knew that he stood no chance against them.

"This is not over Edward. I will make sure that you all pay for this" The marine captain said before signaling for his soldiers to retreat from the bar with their beaten comrades.

"I'll be waiting. Gurararara!" Edward laughed as he watched the marines retreat with their tail between their legs.

"My bar!" The old man freaked out when he saw the damaged that his bar had taken. The entire place was in ruin. And worst part is the marines ran off without paying him for the damages.

"Sorry about that Raul" Spencer sweat dropped. He felt guilty since he was the one who brought Roger and the others to his bar.

"You really should start thinking things over before you act, Roger. That completely had nothing to do with us!" Rayleigh shouted at his captain for acting on impulse. He was about to eat him out some more when he noticed Edward walking towards them.

"Thank you for your help friends. But you should have just let me be. Helping me has brought unnecessary troubles to your group."

"It's not like we had a choice to begin with" Naruto grumbled underneath his breath as he sent a side glance at Roger.

" If you don't mind, can I know your names?"

"Naruto" Naruto said with a short nod.

"Silvers Rayleigh"

"Gol D. Roger. " Roger grinned before immediately adding " Will you consider joining my crew."

"Your crew?" Edward eyes widened in surprise. When they had first joined the fight he had thought that they were some thugs or bandits that joined the fight for fun. Never would he have thought that they were pirates. "You guys are pirates. Then how come I have never heard of you guys?"

"Because we are a new pirate group. We recently just got our bounty " Rayleigh said before pulling out their wanted poster for Edward to see.

"Twenty thousand!" Edward exclaimed when he saw the bounty poster, refusing to believe his eyes.

"Is it that high?" Rayleigh asked clueless. He rechecked the bounty poster to see if he missed any details. Naruto and Roger were also curious at Edwards reaction since they thought that it was pretty decent.

However Edward shook his head and said "Not it's low!"

"Low!"

"Your bounty is the lowest bounty I have ever seen in my life!"

"WHAT!!!!"

There we have it. One of the legendary figures of the series has finally been introduced.

I really really had to restudy one piece to get the full gist of it. Crazy how much details you have to take note of just not to make mistakes.

But like I said before, if you notice any mistake or misinformation please let me know. I am also open to ideas.
