Episode 158: All's Fairy in Love and War
Ash, Brock, and Brenda walk down the street of a city. On their way to the Rest Stop for the Grand Festival, our heroes are ready for a short break from their travels before once again hitting the road.
Ash is thinking something over. "So, I know James will be competing in the Cosmic Conference. But I don't know about anyone else. I wonder if Ryu got his eight gym badges. If he's competing, he might have no choice but to give me that rematch."
Brenda asks pragmatically, "Ash, are you sure you want that? He beat you last time. He could singlehandedly be the reason you lose the Tenno League. Wouldn't it be easier for you if he somehow failed to get his last gym badge?"
Ash laughs at the thought. "Easy? Sure. Fun? No. I don't want to take the easy way out. If I win the Tenno League, I want it to be because I beat the best that Tenno has to offer. Ryu, no matter our differences, is among the best for sure."
Before the discussion can continue, the group's attention is drawn to a nearby battle on a battlefield next to the Pokémon Center. Someone orders, "Florges, finish the poor thing with Dazzling Gleam!"
"Floooor!" A Florges raises its arms and aims at a downed Flygon. It fires a pulse of disarmingly bright light that knocks the already injured Pokémon away. It lands knocked out at the feet of its trainer.
The Florges' trainer chuckles mockingly. She's a young girl wearing a pink dress with white lace. Though everything about her presents an image of cute and innocent, her face says the opposite. She looks nasty and cruel as she laughs at her opponent's loss. "It's just as I told you. Your silly Dragon Pokémon was worthless against my superior Fairy Pokémon. It's battling 101. Dragons lose to Fairies every time. Plain and simple." She laughs some more.
The Flygon trainer glares at her. "You don't have to be so mean about it. You were the one who challenged me, remember?"
"Yes. I did. To show you the pathetic truth of that inferior Dragon-Type you seemed to like so much."
The Flygon trainer shakes his head in dismay and recalls Flygon to its Pokéball. "Just leave me alone!" He runs off.
The girl shakes her head in disapproval. "How sad. Even after that thorough beating, he's still in denial." She recalls Florges to its Pokéball.
Ash steps up to her and demands, "What was that?"
"What was what?" she asks, as if she had done nothing wrong.
Ash shakes his head in dismay. "The way you treated your opponent! You showed him no respect!"
"Ha! Respect? He didn't deserve any. He trained a Dragon-Type Pokémon."
"So what?"
"So, anyone who would stoop so low as to train such a lowly Pokémon must be pretty lowly themselves."
Ash is in a stunned state of disbelief.
She looks him over. "Let me guess. You train a Dragon-Type too."
Ash crosses his arms. "I have in the past."
She rolls her eyes. "Unless you denounce those past mistakes, it makes no difference." She pauses. "Scratch that. It makes one difference. If you don't have any Dragon-Type with you, then I have no reason to battle you. Get out of my sight."
Ash clenches his fists. Even Pikachu looks to be on the verge of getting aggressive.
Brenda whispers to Brock, "It's funny how she's the exact opposite as Ryu, and yet her reason for not battling Ash is the same." Brock nods in agreement.
Someone announces, "So, you're the one I've heard about that's slandering Dragon Pokémon and Trainers. I'll show you the strength of a true Dragon Trainer."
Ash gasps. He looks back to see Ryu approaching. Behind him is Dragonite, and riding piggyback on his shoulders is Tyrunt. Ash gasps. "Ryu!"
Ryu glances at Ash but otherwise ignores him. He walks right past him and stands before the Fairy trainer. "I'm assuming you're Titania, the self -proclaimed dragon slayer?"
The girl laughs. "I didn't need to self-proclaim anything. Training Fairy-Type Pokémon naturally made me that. But yes, I am Titania." She looks him over. "And you must be Ryu, the favorite choice for next to claim the title of Dragon Master." She grins sadistically. "I've been hoping I would come across you one of these days."
"Then why waste any more time? Let's battle so I can show you all the ways you are wrong."
Ash gasps. "What!? You're challenging her to a battle!? But she doesn't have any Dragon-Types! Why does she get to battle you, but not me!?"
Ryu glares at Ash. "She dares to insult the pride of the Dragon-Type. She has to be taught a lesson. You are only annoying."
Ash sulks slightly. "Annoying?"
Ignoring Ash, Titania announces, "It would be my pleasure to instead teach you a lesson. Let's battle."
Ryu and Titania have taken positions on either side of the battlefield. Ash, Brock, and Brenda sit on a bench to watch. Titania asks tauntingly, "So? Will it be that big, strong Dragonite who battles me?" She adds sarcastically, "By the way, super creative choice on that one. I've never seen a Dragon Trainer use a Dragonite before."
Dragonite growls deeply at her.
"Or maybe it will be the literal runt. You might as well use a baby against me. The outcome wouldn't change."
Tyrunt also growls.
Ryu responds, "No. I'll be using a Pokémon that will pose a much greater problem for you. You fancy yourself a Dragon slayer? Well meet my Fairy slayer! Duraludon, to battle!"
"Duraaaa!" A Duraludon appears and repeatedly pounds its interlocking arms together to make an intimidating clanging noise.
Titania laughs. "I see what you're doing. Duraludon may be a Dragon-Type, but it's also a Steel-Type, which is strong against Fairy-Types. It won't make a difference. In a battle between Fairies and Dragons, Fairies will always come out on top, even with other types thrown in. Let's prove it." She takes out a Pokéball of her own. "Time to sparkle! Go, Granbull!"
"Bull!"
Ryu momentarily freezes as his eyes widen, then an uncontrollable anger momentarily grips his face. He says spitefully under his breath, "Disgusting creature." Dragonite looks to him with worry but says nothing. It's another moment before Ryu can wrestle back control over his emotions.
Brock comments, "This battle just got even more personal for Ryu. Remember, he first met Dragonite when it rescued him from a pack of Granbull that were chasing him."
Ash nods. "That day not only cemented his passion for Dragon-Types, but his hatred for Fairy-Types."
Ryu doesn't waste a moment. He orders, "Duraludon, Flash Cannon!"
"Luuudon!"
Titania chuckles derisively. "He thinks he can outshine us. Show him a real sparkle, Granbull dear. Dazzling Gleam!"
"Bull!"
Both Pokémon launch bursts of shimmering light at one another. But, somehow, Granbull's Dazzling Gleam seems to absorb the light of Duraludon's Flash Cannon and grow even stronger as a result. The pulse of glittering pink light overtakes Duraludon. The stalwart Pokémon has its feet planted firmly in the ground but is pushed back several feet by the force of the attack.
Titania chuckles with amusement as Ryu grunts. "Granbull, darling, now let us show him why even a Steel-Type Dragon Pokémon is of no concern to us. Use Break Brick."
"Bull! Granbull!" Granbull sprints at Duraludon on all fours. Its foreleg paws glow as it readies its attack.
Ryu is just about to call his counterattack when he freezes up. Seeing Granbull sprinting at him on all fours has forced him into a flashback of the incident where he first met Dratini. A vicious wild Granbull had run at him in much the same way.
Ryu snaps out of it and orders, "Metal Burst!" But it's already too late. Before Duraludon can ready the attack, Granbull has pounded it with its fists.
Brock shakes his head in disapproval. "If he had ordered Metal Burst in time, Duraludon could have returned even greater damage than it took onto Granbull. But he was just too late."
Ash comments, "Something's off with Ryu. I've never seen him hesitate before ordering a move like before." He shouts, "Come on, Ryu! You're better than this!"
Ryu sneers at Ash. "I don't need you to tell me that." He returns his attention to Duraludon. "Duraludon, move in for Body Press!"
Duraludon leaps into the air and aims its fall at Granbull.
After a quick snort of a laugh, Titania orders, "Dazzling Gleam!"
"Granbuuuull!" The pulse of sparkling light forces Duraludon off-course. It has no choice but to impact the ground in front of Granbull.
And with it needing to recover from the fall, Titania orders, "Brick Break." Granbull begins to pummel the downed dragon with an intense ferocity.
Ryu's eyes go wide for a moment. Dragonite looks to him with worry. Tyrunt seems concerned as well. Once he finally forces his emotions away, Ryu shouts in an uncharacteristic rage, "Destroy it! Steel Beam!"
Despite the beating it's taking, Duraludon forces itself to roll and face its attacker. It raises its arms, and its body begins to glow as it gathers energy for the Steel Beam.
Titania seems unworried. "Put the pathetic thing out of its misery."
"Gran! Bull!" Granbull puts its two fists together and slams them down hard onto Duraludon's body.
"Ludon!" First it stops glowing, then it goes limp. Duraludon is knocked out.
Ryu's arms drop to his side. His entire body registers a stunned disbelief.
Dragonite questions something with a worried growl. Tyrunt nudges at his face with its snout.
Titania recalls Granbull. "Well, that went exactly as we all knew it would. Thank you, Ryu. You have helped me to prove once and for all the inferiority of the Dragon-Type and all those who train them. You were a big help." She turns and leaves, laughing all the way.
Ryu continues to stand still.
Ash hesitantly asks, "Ryu…are you okay…?"
Ryu finally moves in order to recall Duraludon. "I'm fine." He turns and leaves without another word. Dragonite hesitates for a moment before following him.
Brenda shakes her head. "That was a blatant lie. There's no way he's fine. Not after a loss like that. It was personal too."
Ash takes a deep breath. "I've kind of always wanted to see Ryu get taken down a peg. But not like that. Never like that… That was…brutal…"
Brock agrees, "No one deserves to lose like that. It's dehumanizing." Something comes to him. "You know, I promised Nurse Joy that I'd help her out at the Pokémon Center today. I should be going." He runs off without any further explanation.
Who's That Pokémon!?
Its mighty legs are capable of running at speeds exceeding 40 mph, but this Pokémon can't breathe unless it's underwater.
Ryu steps up to the counter of a Pokémon Center and places a Pokéball down on it. "My Duraludon needs medical attention."
Brock answers, "Certainly. Would you like to be present for the treatment?"
Ryu looks to Brock and suppresses a groan. "What are you doing here?"
"My job." Brock makes no further attempt at an elaboration.
Ryu sighs. "Fine. Whatever."
Brock picks up the Pokéball and beckons for Ryu to follow him.
Once in a treatment room, Brock places the Pokéball into a machine and turns it on. He explains, "Just give the diagnostic machine a few moments, then we can begin treatment." Brock looks silently at Ryu for several moments.
Ryu crosses his arms. "No. I don't want to talk about it."
Brock feigns ignorance, "Talk about what? I bever asked if you wanted to talk about anything."
Ryu sighs and sits down on a nearby chair. Tyrunt jumps down from his shoulder to his lap and lies down. Ryu absentmindedly scratches the side of the Pokémon's head. Tyrunt seems to take great enjoyment from this.
Brock looks over the readings from the machine on a screen. "Yup. Your Duraludon took an extreme beating."
Ryu scoffs. "You didn't need a machine to tell you that."
Brock shrugs. "Maybe not, but as a professional I still need to be sure. If I hadn't just seen the battle for myself, I'd be asking exactly what happened to put Duraludon in this state."
"Once again, you don't need to be told that."
"It might still help the treatment if you give me your account of the incident."
Ryu stops scratching Tyrunt and looks towards Brock with irritation.
Brock shrugs again. "You don't have to. I just figured I'd throw it out there." He takes the Pokéball out of the machine and then releases Duraludon from the Pokéball. The Pokémon, still knocked out, is sprawled across a large medical table. Brock observes the injuries up close. "I must admit, I have noticed a trend when Dragon-Type Pokémon battle Fairy-Type Pokémon. The injuries sustained, whether the Dragon-Type was victorious or not, always seem just the slightest bit worse than you would expect from any other battle."
Ryu instinctively snaps, "That's because Fairies are brutal creatures who take pleasure in the pain of Dragons!"
Brock nods as he performs a careful inspection of Duraludon. "Is that your professional opinion as a Dragon Trainer, or a personal one?"
Ryu realizes he's been tricked into talking about the battle and crosses his arms. "Does it make a difference?"
"It could. I saw how personally you took things in that battle. There was none of that cold detachment I usually expect from you."
"So what if it was personal?"
"Nothing's wrong with letting things get personal. In fact, things only make sense if you were getting personal. After all, if it wasn't personal, why would you ever bother to battle a Fairy Pokémon with a Dragon Pokémon?"
Ryu asks with a hint of anger, "Excuse me?"
"Sorry, I figured you would understand. You're the one with the philosophy that dictates that a Pokémon's type is the end-all decider of its power. You're the one who always claims to be above others simply by virtue of being a Dragon Trainer. So, if types are so important, then wouldn't that mean that there's no logical reason to take your Dragons into battle against a Fairy? If we go strictly by the types, a Dragon-Type simply can't beat a Fairy-Type."
"Dragon-Types are superior to all others. Even the ones they are weak too."
Brock suppresses a chuckle. "That's not what I saw out there today." He pauses. "Though, in fairness to you, you did try using a Steel-Type Pokémon to counter the Fairy-Type. So, we're back to types being the end-all. Except that Titania proved that wasn't the case by defeating your Steel and Dragon-Type with a Fairy-Type."
Ryu stares wordlessly at him.
"You know, this makes me think of a story. Did you know I used to be a gym leader in the Kanto Region? I had a reputation for my strength. Many trainers were too scared to even try battling me. My Rock-Type Pokémon were all top-notch. And with their secondary Ground-Types, Electric-Type Pokémon wouldn't even begin to stand a chance against them. I thought it would be absolutely foolish for any trainer with an Electric-Type Pokémon to even bother challenging me. So, when one day a challenger came to me with nothing but a couple of weak Pokémon plus an Electric-Type, I simply laughed at him. As expected, I beat the trainer thoroughly. But that didn't stop him. That stubborn trainer was set on using his Electric Pokémon to defeat my Rock and Ground Pokémon, no matter the disadvantage."
Ryu scoffed at the notion. "He obviously failed. Are you telling me I should give up on ever beating Fairy Pokémon?"
Brock shakes his head. "No. Not at all. That trainer threw all the traditional knowledge about type matchups out the window and came up with a set of rules all his own. With a combination of hard training and creative thinking he defeated my mighty Onix and claimed the Boulder Badge as his very first in an extremely long line of gym badges."
Ryu raises a brow. "He managed to defeat a Pokémon that was immune to Electric attacks with an Electric-Type Pokémon?"
Brock nods. "That he did." He glances back at Duraludon. "Trying to use Duraludon's Steel-Type moves to beat a Fairy-Type Pokémon was a smart choice. But the smart choice isn't always the right choice." He feeds some medicine to Duraludon. The Pokémon has just begun to wake back up. Brock grins. "There we go. I would suggest letting it take a break, but your Duraludon should be back in good health."
Ryu takes back the Pokéball and bows respectfully. "Thank you." He turns to leave.
Before he's out of the room, Brock adds, "Oh, and Ryu?"
Ryu pauses at the door. "Yes?"
"That trainer with the Electric Pokémon who beat me. The one who proved to me that types aren't everything when judging a Pokémon. That was Ash and Pikachu."
Ryu stands in place for several moments and says nothing. Then, without a word, he leaves.
It's Dracovish!
Ash shouts, "Come on! You have to battle me! There's no way I can let things stand like this!"
Titania laughs at the notion. "What conceivable reason could I have to battle the likes of you? None."
Ash clenches a fist tightly. "If only I still had Curemodo with me. Or if I could get Gible, Goodra, Noivern, or Dragonite. Then I would teach you a lesson or two."
"You don't need to battle her on my account."
Ash jumps up in surprise to see Ryu walking towards him. He feigns ignorance, "Huh? Battling on your account? Who? Me? As if." He crosses his arms and tries to look aloof, but does a poor job of it.
Ryu shifts his attention to Titania. "I want a rematch."
She stares at him critically. "What? Was one defeat not humiliating enough for you? Do I need to make it two? Because I gladly will. I'll wipe the floor with your pitiful Dragons as many times as it takes to drive in the fact that you are worthless. Ha ha ha."
Ash questions, "Ryu…are you sure you want to do this…? You…you don't need to prove anything… To me at least…"
Ryu glances at Ash for just a moment. "Are you trying to prove yourself to anybody but yourself when you continuously pester me for a rematch?"
Ash pauses to contemplate. "Well…um…no… I suppose not…"
"Then you understand what I'm doing now."
"I…guess I do…"
Titania nods. "Wonderful. I'll get to utterly embarrass the pride of Dragon trainers twice in one day. Lovely!" A malevolent grin breaches her mask of innocence. "Let's dance, Dragon boy."
Once again, the two trainers take up positions on a battlefield.
Brock walks up to Ash and Brenda on the sidelines and asks, "Did I miss anything?"
Brenda explains, "Ryu just challenged Titania to a rematch." She sighs. "I just don't get why. Nothing has changed…"
Ash asserts, "Nothing needs to have changed. If you have the will to change the outcome, that's all you need."
Brock adds, "I think something has changed. Just watch."
Brenda stares at him for a moment. "What do you know that we don't?"
Brock simply grins without a response.
Titania asks mockingly, "So? What will it be this time? Will you be allowing your poor Duraludon to take a second embarrassing defeat in one day? Maybe you'll try something different. Let me guess. If Steel doesn't work, you'll go for Poison. A Dragalge perhaps? A Curemodo?"
Ryu shakes his head. "None of that. If I'm fighting to prove that type matchups aren't the end-all of Pokémon battles, then I need my choice in Pokémon to represent that conviction. Dragonite, to battle!"
His Dragonite leaps into the air and flies onto the battlefield with a triumphant roar.
Titania laughs at the prospect. "Ah, yes. Dragonite. Some might call it the archetypal Dragon Pokémon. I call it cliché. But regardless, your careless choice in Pokémon will lend that much quicker of an end to this, so I suppose I should be grateful for your consideration towards my time. Thank you."
Ryu barks, "Just send out your Pokémon."
"You're no fun. No fun at all. Ah well. It can't be helped." She pulls out her Pokéball. "Time to sparkle yet again! Go, Granbull!"
"Gran bull!"
Ryu's face tenses upon seeing the Pokémon.
Dragonite looks back to its trainer and gives a reassuring growl.
Ryu nods. "Yes. You're here with me. I understand." He points forward. "Dragonite, use Wing Attack!"
Dragonite roars as it flies straight at Granbull in preparation to slam its glowing wing into the Pokémon.
Titania reacts with her usual mocking laugh. "Granbull, darling, use Ice Fang."
"Buuull!" Granbull bites down with frozen fangs on Dragonite's wing just as Dragonite enters its range.
Dragonite roars in pain.
Ryu is quick to order, "Aqua Tail!" Dragonite rears about and slams its whirlpool-cloaked tail into Granbull's side, forcing the Pokémon to release its grip and sending it tumbling away. "Now Thunderbolt!" Fast on the heels of the previous attack, Dragonite flings electricity at the still tumbling Granbull.
"Cute, but it won't make a difference. Even with a variety of different move types to cover its weakness, a Dragon is still weak to a Fairy. Show him, Granbull! Dazzling Gleam!"
"Bull!" Granbull shakes off the shock of the Thunderbolt and unleashes a pulse of sparkling pink light.
Dragonite is forced to the ground by the super effective attack. It grunts in pain.
Titania takes pleasure in this inflicted pain. "It is the nature of something so wretched as the Dragon-Type to be subjected to such damage. That is why the Fairy-Type was created. To put you arrogant Dragon-Types in your place. Granbull, use Brick Break." Granbull runs at Dragonite on all fours.
Just like before, Ryu freezes up upon seeing the brutal Pokémon running towards him and his Pokémon. For just a moment, he's back in the past. He's a child and he's surrounded by a pack of wild Granbull. One Granbull is running at him just as Titania's is.
"Gran! Bull!"
Child Ryu is too terrified to do anything but cower in fear. But then a Dratini leaps in from above and gets in between Ryu and the Granbull. "Tiniii!" It glances back to Ryu with a reassuring look, then it uses Thunderbolt to stop the charging Granbull in its tracks. It looks back to Ryu and asks, "Tini?"
Ryu looks at it with wide eyes.
Just as it did as a Dratini, Dragonite looks to Ryu reassuringly along with a confident growl.
Ryu nods. "Right. Dragonite, use Thunderbolt!"
Dragonite stands back up and roars as it unleashes an even more powerful bolt of lightning at the incoming Granbull. The situation may be the same as when it was a Dratini, but the Thunderbolt has increased in power more than tenfold.
As Granbull is flung back, Ryu shouts, "Dragonite, let's show them the Ultimate Dragonic Technique!"
Ash gasps. "Ultimate Dragonic Technique!? Like what Dragon Master Holloman did!? He combined Dragon Rush and Flare Blitz to create the most powerful Dragon move imaginable!" He recalls how Holloman's Mega Charizard X merged the powers of both Flare Blitz and Dragon Rush to create a phantasmal dragon of white flames and purple energy that overwhelmed any other attack.
Brock nods. "It would seem that Ryu is attempting to replicate it. Dragonite can't use Flare Blitz, but perhaps they found a replacement."
Dragonite launches itself in the air and uses Thunderbolt to surround itself in electricity. At the same time, it also cloaks itself in the dragonic energy of Dragon Rush. The electricity is absorbed into the form of the Dragon Rush, creating an electrical serpent that encompasses Dragonite's body. It's nowhere near the scale or spectacle of Charizard's version, but it's still impressive in its own right.
Tyrunt jumps up and down in joy at the sight of such incredible power. "Ty! Runt! Ty!"
Ryu shouts, "Go! Dragon Overdrive!"
Dragonite's roar echoes across the field as it sends itself hurtling at Granbull.
Titania's cold exterior breaks for just a moment as the briefest hint of worry flashes across her face upon seeing the technique. She curses under her breath, "No way! It's not possible!" She shoves aside her surprise and shouts, "Granbull, use Dazzling Gleam! Give it everything you've got!"
"Granbuuuuuuull!" Without even flinching at the incoming attack, Granbull stands back up and unleashes its most powerful burst of light yet.
Dragonite flies straight through the light, though not unhindered. It slows upon impact, and is clearly taking damage, even through the great manifestation of dragonic energy that surrounds it. Dragonite slams into its target, releasing a great shockwave and causing a massive explosion. The resulting flash forces everyone to avert their eyes.
The moment the light dims, everyone eagerly looks back with anticipation to see what happened. Dragonite and Granbull both lie on the ground. It's a double knockout.
Ash gasps. "A tie… No way…" He looks at Ryu with worry. "Can he handle this…?"
Ryu hangs his head for a moment. But then looks straight at Titania and proclaims, "I may not have beaten you, but you failed to defeat me as well. I have proven your claim false. Fairies do not always beat Dragons." He pulls out Dragonite's Pokéball, recalls the Pokémon, turns around, and walks away without another word.
Titania stomps her feet in anger. "No way! Don't you dare walk away from me! This isn't over! This was a fluke! Come back here and battle me again! Do you hear me!? It won't end like this! Stop! Come back!" But Ryu ignores her entirely. She falls to her knees and begins to pound her fists against the ground. "No fair! No fair! No fair! You cheated! Cheated!"
Ash, Brock, and Brenda move away from her as fast as they can manage.
Ash runs to catch up with Ryu. "Ryu! That battle was great! I can't believe you and Dragonite were able to use the Ultimate Dragonic Technique!"
"We aren't. That was but a pale imitation. We are still a long way from the title of Dragon Master. Today proved that to me."
Ash objects, "Hey, that might as well have been a win for you, as far as I'm concerned."
Ryu shakes his head. "I don't say that because we lost. I say it because today showed how much we still have to learn." He stops and looks at Ash. "We thought we were ready for the Tenno League. And once we won at the Tenno League, we were prepared to challenge Dragon Master Holloman to a rematch. But I see now the error and arrogance in that assumption. We are far from ready."
Ash asks, "Then what are you going to do about it?"
Ryu stares at Ash for a moment, as if considering whether or not to tell him his plans. "We will travel back to the Dragon's Roost. If not with Master Holloman himself, we will train with his disciples. We will learn the ways of the Dragon Master." He turns to look to the road ahead. "When next we meet at the Cosmic Conference, when next we battle, you'll find us a harder force to defeat than ever before."
Ash's eyes go wide as he gasps. "Ryu…are you saying that we're going to battle again…?"
Ryu nods. "We will. And we will crush you."
Ash grins. "No, you won't, because we have no plans of losing ourselves. But I'll tell you what. You go and get as strong as you can, while Pikachu and I will get as strong as we can. That way, no matter who wins, we will know that the better trainer won."
Ryu nods. "It's a deal." He continues back on his route, leaving Ash behind.
Ryu was already hard to beat, but now he swears he'll be stronger than ever come the Tenno League. Ash already had his work cut out for him, but now that goes doubly so. The Tenno League is shaping up to be tournament like no other. If only to see how this rivalry comes to its conclusion, you've got to stay—
Meowth shouts, "Woah, woah, woah, wait! Hold the phone! What do you think you're doing!? You can't close out the episode without us making our appearance!"
James agrees, "Yeah! That's illegal! Or something…"
Jessie asserts, "You'd all be nothing without your weekly dose of vitamin R!"
"Wobbuffet!"
The three stare at each other for a moment. Then James asks, "Okay, so what do we do now?"
Meowth suggests, "We could do the Motto."
Jessie enthusiastically shouts, "Yes! The Motto! Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"To protect the world from…"
You know what? Just this once, don't bother staying tuned. Just check back later.
