I never liked the ending, so I decided to have Billy really fight for his freedom

Just a few poems I wrote about Cuckoo’s Nest for a project in English. Since this is based on the novel and not the film, this will only be an interpretation of what I thought the characters’ appearances would be like while reading the novel

Beneath her steely exterior, Mildred Ratched is not so different from her patients. She bolts awake with repetitive nightmares, caresses angelic obsessions, and nurses a nihilistic love. She is not the embodiment of evil, but a cog in the Combine, grasping for some semblance of control. (A little epistolary I wrote for AP Literature :)

Based off the movie - Billy's thoughts leading to his decision to end his life.

How McMurphy ended up on the work farm. Involves alcohol, public indecency and mentions illicit substances. Enjoy!

Since the basketball game went so well, McMurphy tries to give Chief Bromden a football lesson. Pure fluff and cuteness!

Character study written for school. Nurse Ratched may seem cold, but she has her reasons. Just what was Nurse Ratched thinking after McMurphy broke that window? A short journal entry reveals that the stone-hearted nurse we know may be a little more human than we thought. Re-posted so my English teacher wouldn't think I was plagiarizing.

Animal testing- animal products. Alone except for them, meaning that none of my human work colleagues were with me. I shut the door and look around. And yes, those pink eyes were staring, some with recognition and some dead-eyed. I patrol the cages, clear out the five dead ones, put them on the trolley, shut the door behind me, and head back up the corridor to the laboratory.

The night before Nurse Ratched starts her job. One-off. Brief mention of violence.

Based on the Film version. McMurphy comes back from Treatment a shell of the Trouble-maker he was. But is all, as it seems?

This is the Happier Ending for this classic story, written for those fans (especially fans of Billy Bibbit) who were heart-broken by the ending. This happier ending is for you... Rated T just in case (no romance or anything weird, just a bit of gore at the start, but not much!)

This is my variation of what NEVER happened in the book or movie, but something that should have happened. I do love crack pairings. Rated T for language and situations, Ratched's POV. May become chapters later on. Please R&R! Chapter version of this story will be separate from this one-shot.
