I DO NOT OWN TOTAL DRAMA (or mha)

ALEJANDRO

Alejandro woke up this morning, ready for the day satisfied. It was the beginning of the new year and he was happy to say that he didn't have any resolutions to make. He was smart, handsome, rich, well liked, accomplished, and did he mention handsome. Anyway, he has a lot to be proud of so he didn't need any improvement on himself. Although, if he had to make one resolution, it would be to try and one-up his stupid brother Jose.

Once he got dressed, he headed downstairs for some breakfast. He arrived to see his mother at the dining room table being served breakfast by their family's kitchen staff.

"Hola, mama." Alejandro said. His mother turned towards him and smiled.

"Hola, mijo." His mother said. "Did you enjoy the New Year's countdown?"

"Si, many good performers." Alejandro said. He sat down across from his mother, and the moment he sat down, a plate was put right in front of him. "Though I found the aurora was the most interesting part, for something such as that to appear in the sky at exactly the time the ball dropped to midnight. It's quite an unexpected coincidence."

"Jose says he's going to try and come up with an explanation for the aurora's since so many have been asking about it." This made Alejandro roll his eyes, of course his older brother had to find another way to prove he's perfect. And as usual, Jose will rub this in face while calling him "Al".

Unknown to Alejandro or his mother, Alejandro's eyes rolled back for a second and then returned to show his irises.

"And where is papi?" Alejandro asked. "Has he already left for work?"

"Si, he says he has several business meetings today, though I think he just uses that as an excuse." His mother said. This made Alejandro raise an eyebrow.

"An excuse, what kind of excuse?"

"Probably to flirt with one of those young chica's at his work. At first I was annoyed, but after seeing him try and fail so many times it's just sad. So I'm obviously not worried he'll cheat on me."

Alejandro stared at his mother in disbelief. His mother, in turn, paused and eyes widened, stunned by what she just said.

"Dios mio, I don't know why I said all that. You shouldn't hear me speak that way about your father." She sighs and then rolls her eyes. "Then again, you are your father's son and you have toyed with girls before. So chances are you'll become just as sleazy as him."

Alejandro's mother gasped, putting both hands on her mouth. Alejandro didn't know what to say right now, his mother never spoke to him like this before.

"I-I think I need some air." Alejandro watched as his mother quickly got up and walked out to the balcony.

He decided that his mother had the right idea. He got up and left the house, walking into town. He went inside a Starbucks where one of the girls he flirts with is a barista. He walks over to her and the moment she spots him, she smiles and blushes.

"Why hello there, my lovely Lydia." Alejandro said, charming her with his signature smile. "How have you been?"

"My name is actually Lily, but I don't mind that you keep getting it wrong since you're so hot." Lily said. She paused and blushed harder, her eyes widened as she realized what she just said. "I-I-I"

"No, no, it's alright." Alejandro waved his hand assuringly. "I should apologize for getting your name wrong. Lily is a beautiful name, the name of a blossoming beautiful flower to match a very beautiful girl."

Lily blushed even harder, feeling completely flattered. "So can I assume you want your usual?"

"You know me so well, don't you?"

She started making Alejandro's order. "I do, and this "usual" you order is weird. I don't even drink coffee but if I did, this would be the last thing I would order."

She was stunned again by what she said. Alejandro was the same, whatever happened between him and his mother seemed to be happening to Lily as well. He thought for a moment what the problem was, and came up with one thing in common. To be sure, he decided to test his theory. He looked around and spotted a man in a red polo sitting by a table on his laptop, he approached the man.

"Excuse me sir," Alejandro said, getting the man's attention. "How much money do you have in your bank account?"

"About 150,000, half of it actually belongs to my wife." The man said. He surprised himself by what he said. "Wait what?"

Alejandro left the man and approached another customer, a nurse texting by the windows.

"Excuse me nurse." Alejandro asked, though she didn't look up from her phone. "Who are you texting?"

"I'm not texting, I'm typing in what foods to buy for myself. Everytime I ask my husband or my kids to get me something at the store, they always forget. So I gave up asking them and just tried getting it myself. It's annoying but it is what it is." The nurse said. She finally looked up as she didn't realize how much she told. "Wait, why am I telling you all of this? I've never told anyone this."

"I believe I know." Alejandro said, satisfied. He went back up to Lily, who had his coffee ready but was too embarrassed to look him in the eye. So he just placed cash on the counter and left the cafe with his coffee.

As he stepped outside, he took a sip of his coffee and began to think about what was happening. For some odd reason, people can't lie whenever he asks them a question. Normally, he wouldn't see that as out of the ordinary because his good looks alone made women be honest with him. But this type of honesty seemed very deep and personal. What's even more unusual is that whatever this is seems to be affecting both men and women. He kept asking questions to people he passed by and they all gave honest remarks that surprised them, proving his point. He even tried doing it over the phone and it was just as effective as it was in person, so it seems it's not limited to technology.

The more Alejandro thought about it, the more intrigued he was. Perhaps he could use this to his advantage, it would sure be a good way to humiliate his annoying brother Jose. Or who knows, maybe he can gain information on others if they ever become a threat to him. The possibilities were endless.

Quirk: Truth

Whenever he asks someone a question, they have no choice but to tell the truth. As long as it happens in real time, it can work just as well through video or audio.
