I DO NOT OWN TOTAL DRAMA (or mha)

AXEL

Axel was in her backyard on her bench press, lifting weights while her brothers were using other workout equipment beside her. While the three of them were listening to hardcore rock music, she was listening to another one of her zombie apocalypse podcasts. She grew up with four brothers and a single father and adapted a tomboy look and personality from them, sharing their interest. Yet despite that, they always made fun of her belief in armageddon. She wasn't sure why anyone else in her family didn't believe in it, but she stopped being bothered by that a long time ago. They kept calling her crazy and paranoid, but she'd rather be paranoid than unprepared.

Once the podcast was over, she set her barbell back on the rack and sat up. She breathed heavily and was about to play another episode of the podcast when one of her brothers spoke.

"Seriously, Axel," Her third eldest brother Tony spoke. "When are you going to stop listening to that doomsday crap and just listen to some regular music?"

"Lay off Tony." Her second eldest brother John said with a smirk. "Our sister doesn't believe in happiness. Happiness means the zombie's aren't coming, and our awesome music adds to that happiness."

"Wow, that's a new one." Axel said sarcastically, returning the smirk. "How long did it take for you to come up with that one, hours?"

"Daaannngg." Her eldest brother Robby laughed. "Short and sweet, not bad sis."

Axel and Robby fist bumped.

"You should know that any food and supplies you store up for the end of the world, we'll just steal it." Her younger brother Danny said simply.

"Yep, thanks for letting me know." Axel said with a nod. "And that's why I've been training to kick anyone's butts if they mess with me, including you four losers."

"In your dreams sis." John laughed, along with his other three brothers. The four boys stopped what they were doing and went back into the house, laughing along the way. Axel felt annoyed, everytime she claimed she was just as strong as her brothers, all they did was laugh. Apparently, it didn't matter what manly things she did with her bros, she was still treated like she was the weakest link but because she was a girl.

Which is why Axel decided to extend her workout longer. She got on the floor and started doing push ups, only this time she listened to a different podcast. This one was about the ones that didn't believe in the end of times, and how they will suffer in damnation for doubting. Axel was able to connect with this one because no matter who she talked to, everyone doubted her. Her father, her brothers, her neighbors, the other kids at school, even the cops whenever she did something they considered juvenile. Those memories started to make her mad, especially when they called her names and pulled pranks on her. Sure she had the physical skills to dodge and avoid most of them, but they still hurt her more emotionally than physically.

Unknown to Axel, her eyes rolled in the back of her head and then returned to normal. She felt something was off, because she was able to do push ups easier despite how tired she was. It took her a few moments to realize there was something wrong with her hands. She stopped and her eyes widened as she saw that both her hands, up to her wrist, were coated in metal. She got on her knees and held her hands out, not knowing what was happening. She picked at her wrist to see if she could get it off, but that didn't work which meant she wasn't wearing any gloves. She put her hands on her cheeks to see how it felt, and just as she figured they were cold metal just as they appeared.

She held out her hands again and to her surprise, the metal was gone and they turned back into regular human hands. She put them back on her cheeks again and was relieved that they felt like they used to. She stared at her hands and could only think of one question.

"What the heck is going on?" She asked out loud. She had no idea how something like this happened, maybe she was just dehydrated from her workout and seeing things. She looked around to see if anyone else was around, and was relieved that that wasn't the case. Her eyes then stopped on her phone which she remembered was playing her podcast.

She began to think about all the doomsday podcasts and books she read about as an armageddon enthusiast. She has heard of many end of the world scenarios; zombie, nuclear, asteroid, deadly virus, overpopulation, even global warming. But she never figured something like this would be possible. Could this be a sign of a world ending event, and if so, what does she do now? She would like to put these metal hands to the test, if she knew how they worked. She was already imagining how she'd smack and chop up everyone who doubted her as a big I told you so.

She was surprised again when she saw that her hands turned back to metal. She didn't know how it happened, but she was glad. She stood up, got into a fighting position, and started throwing punches. But she kept getting surprised as she saw that her metal hands now had four metal spikes where her knuckles were. She held her hands out wide and the spikes were gone. She clenched her fist again and the spikes returned. She kept clenching and unclenching her fist and learned how the spikes appeared on her metal hands.

Axel felt excited because whatever this was, she could use it to prove others wrong and aid her against the apocalypse.

Quirk: Spike Fist

Whenever she feels aggression, her hands turn as solid as metal. And when she clenches her fist, her knuckles turn into four metal spikes.
