NOTE: I clearly underestimated how chaotic my life would be with the addition of a child. Regardless, here is the chapter. I hope you enjoy.
Location: Southern Agricultural District, Vale.
Time: 3:19 AM
"Good morning, students. I know none of you expected to be put in this kind of situation today but Vale has need of you."Glynda Goodwitch's voice echoed throughout the speakers of multiple bullheads flying through the skies of Vale.
Team JNPR was in one such bullhead with multiple other teams native to Beacon when Jaune's Scroll vibrated.
"Reports from Vale's Police Department and the Security Force tells us that the Grimm are rushing in from a breach in the Southern Wall. The bullheads we are on will drop us near the gap and our mission then is simple."
Fishing his Scroll out, Jaune gulped as he saw the gap Professor Glynda was talking about through a recorded feed sent to his leader's Scroll. By the looks of it, a whole section of Vale's wall collapsed and the Grimm were using it to stream into the city.
"We need to plug the breach and stop the Grimm from overrunning Vale." Professor Glynda ordered but Jaune could only shake at that.
Plug the gap and stop the Grimm? It was easier said than done.
Not only did they have to fight off the Grimm, they had to build a wall at the same time.
How do they even begin to do that? Jaune didn't know how to build a wall and he was sure none of his peers did either. What then? Call a construction crew? They could barely bring themselves to the first place, how much harder would it be to bring in a crew?
Screeches filled the air outside the bullhead as Nevermores and Gryphons tried to harass them. Before they could even do much damage however, Atlas fighter drones flew in to protect them.
Nevermores and Gryphons died as bullets tore through their wing membranes.
Jaune's heart calmed down a bit at that. At least they weren't alone.
He knew for a fact the students from other schools were doing their part to help the city. Haven was in charge of holding the backlines. Vacuo was assigned the duty of hunting Grimm who managed to sneak in via the sewers. Atlas was going with them part of the way to search and rescue civilians still trapped in the Agricultural Distract.
And then there was them.
Students from Beacon itself were in charge of holding the frontlines and stopping more Grimm from coming into the city just like Professor Glynda said. The most dangerous job.
Even now he could see Grimm of all shapes and sizes running into the city through his Scroll.
Gods only knew how many were truly inside the city now considering the recording was already almost half an hour old. Whatever calm and relief he felt from watching the Atlesians tear into the flying Grimm evaporated at that thought.
All he needed to do was look out of the window and-
Jaune blinked as the world slowed.
Normally, Jaune would be nauseous by now because of his motion sickness but it seems his own body was too stiff and wound up to even entertain the notion of being sick because right at that moment, he saw a streak of white.
Any other time he would have ignored that streak but this was different. He could see Grimm converging at that location so his eyes were naturally drawn to it. What got his attention however was the woman who had hair as white as snow.
He only knew two women who had hair that white. Weiss Schnee and her sister. Jaune also knew they already flew by Winter's location earlier when her voice welcomed their reinforcements so that meant one thing.
Weiss Schnee was in Vale and judging by the black-haired woman beside her, so was Blake Belladonna.
Before he even knew it, Jaune was already pulling the bullhead's door open.
Eyes snapped towards him even as he focused on his girls' particular location.
"Arc! What the fuck are you doing?!" Cardin shouted but Jaune only ignored him.
He could not ignore his girlfriend however.
"Jaune?! What are you doing?!" Pyrrha called out beside him, making him grab her chin and aim her face at the direction he was looking at.
Her gasp told him everything. She saw the same thing but they had no time for any more discussions because any second now and they were about to pass Blake's and Weiss' location.
"Go do the mission! I'll catch up!"
Was all Jaune managed to say to his team as Jaune did what Jaune did not think he would do.
Jump straight into danger.
Not willing to suddenly put his girlfriend in danger, his hand left Pyrrha's face as he fell through the sky.
It was only then and there however did everything finally managed to catch up to him because…what the hell was he doing?!
He just jumped out of a bullhead while it was flying through the sky!
He couldn't help it. He screamed.
"AAHHHHHH!"
He flapped his arms and legs to control his descent but all it did was allow him to aim where he was crashing. It did nothing to slow him down as the ground came closer and closer.
Jaune continued to scream as he tried to look for anything that could help him. All he had was Crocea Mors in his sheathe and Argent Rose magnetically locked on his hip.
A crazy thought of using Argent Rose to slow his descent by firing explosive rounds to the ground entered his mind but he didn't think Argent Rose had a round big enough for what he needed.
And so he was back to step one of falling to the ground.
It was like Initiation all over again. Unlike Initiation however, this time, Jaune had his Aura and his Semblance.
All he could do as he plummeted to the ground was close his eyes and Amplify his Aura.
White blanketed the world and all too soon, Jaune was crashing into the earth.
Smoke and dust flew all around him as Jaube lost his breath.
He would have liked to say that he stuck the landing so awesomely that he managed to do a superhero landing, alas Jaune was not cool like that.
Instead, he struck the ground chest first and bounced at least once before managing to get his bearings.
His only saving grace was that the smoke produced by his landing obscured him from view as he tried to get his breathing back.
Standing up, he heard groans from behind him as the dust died down.
Instead of turning around however, his eyes land on the man in front of him.
His first words after that embarrassing landing?
"Cool scar."
Cool scar? Cool scar?!
Way to rub someone's suffering in, right Jaune?!
He blushed embarrassedly as the man made a complicated face at him.
In his defense however, the sight of the SDC brand stamped on one eye while the other was covered by a half-broken Grimm mask went unbelievably hard.
Combined with the dark long coat and grizzled look, it embarrassingly called to his inner eighth-grader that yearned to be a dark hero of justice.
Before he could humiliate himself even more however, a familiar voice jolts him out of his thoughts.
"Jaune?" Blake called out with wide eyes as Weiss gawked behind her.
He turned to his side a bit to glance at them and his eyes automatically tried to find the rest of their team.
"Where's Yang and Ruby?" He asked as he turned back to the man in front of him, completely missing Blake's and Weiss' stricken looks.
"Jaune." Blake called out slowly and something about her tone immediately set him on edge. "They're-"
Before she could answer however, another voice came down from the sky.
"JAUNEEEE!"
All their eyes immediately snapped upward to see Pyrrha Nikos crashing down into the earth like an avenging angel. Her eyes were set in fury as she struck the ground in front of him. Unlike his own landing, Pyrrha managed to use her shield to absorb the impact and do a combat roll ending in a crouch with her spear out.
Everyone paused as they looked at her before she suddenly glared at him. Jaune reeled back at the anger in her eyes as she rushed towards him.
"Don't ever leave me like that again!"
She gave him a half-hug before rapidly turning to face their enemies again side by side.
"Right, sorry." Jaune nodded embarrassedly as he extended his shield with Crocea Mors still on it while holding Argent Rose with another hand. "Where's Ren and Nora?"
"They stayed with the bullhead to help plug the breach." Pyrrha shook her head as Jaune sighed relievedly at that.
That was good. As much as he wanted to have his whole team here, he didn't want to completely abandon their duties to Vale.
Besides, he knew that if it came to a fight then he could trust Pyrrha to face the guy in front of them and all he needed to do was not get in her way. Not very manly, he knows, but he didn't care about manly. He cared about keeping all of them alive.
Still, a fight was the last thing they wanted.
It was bad enough that he couldn't seem to find Yang and Ruby, Blake and Weiss were still tired and injured behind him.
Jaune couldn't just take the chance to let them be hurt further.
So he tried to look for any kind of way out of here that wouldn't result in conflict but all he saw were more problems.
Already, he could see the Grimm starting to encircle them and he was sure they were only waiting for a chance for them to let their guard down. It was smart really, because Jaune knew that if the Grimm charged now then the guy in front of them would have no choice but to work with them.
Taking the time to look at the guy in front of him, Jaune could see small horns poking out of his red hair.
A Faunus then.
And with Roman Torchwick and Neopolitan peeking from behind the guy, he could only come to one conclusion.
This guy was with the White Fang. And as if there wasn't enough for proof, the guy glared at him.
"Human."
Jaune had only heard that hate from one other person before.
LT, the big Faunus who beat his ass back on the docks all those months ago.
See, normally, Jaune would be scared whenever the memory of LT assaulted his mind. Sue him, that was the first time he honestly thought he would have died.
This time however, he wasn't scared.
Why, you ask?
He blushed as Neopolitan winked at him while blowing him a kiss from behind the Faunus. So instead of remembering how he got his ass beaten and his head almost caved in, Jaune remembered what she did to him.
The fact that she was cupping the air and sliding her hand up and down only served to drive his point further.
True, she might have used Ruby's face at the time but it was still her who gave him a blowjob! Embarrassment immediately flooded his body as he saw Neo's tongue poke out of her lips.
He took solace in the fact that it was better than being sad and depressed considering how many Grimm were circling them now.
Still, his girlfriends did not like that.
He heard Blake and Weiss gasp behind him in realization but this time, it was Pyrrha's turn to growl. "Hussy."
"Woah there, big red, no need for name calling." Roman Torchwick chuckled before flashing them a smirk.
Seeing his chance to ingratiate himself to his girlfriends and avoid any possible punishments, Jaune moved to defend Pyrrha.
"Hey, he's the one who started it!" Jaune immediately shot back, waving at the Faunus in front of them who just called him human.
"Are these the kind of friends you have, Blake? So childish." The guy sneered with a glare as Jaune reeled back.
This guy knew Blake?
His eyes immediately snapped towards his raven-haired girlfriend who looked away shamefully.
What?
"Adam, please-"
Well now, Jaune couldn't help but interrupt at that.
"Wait, this is Adam?" He asked with wide eyes as a mad plan started to form in his mind. "Your ex?"
"And who the hell are you?" Adam snarled as Blake flinched back before turning towards him nervously.
Judging by the way she was acting, this guy scared the hell out of her!
Well now, his mad plan just turned a bit cruel. All he needed was confirmation that he was about to do this to the right guy.
And there it was.
A grin slowly crept up his face as he saw Blake nod with wide eyes.
Confirmation.
This was Adam alright.
Mustering every bit of confidence and excitement he could, Jaune lowered his shield back to his hip as he stretched his hand to Blake.
Trust me. He mouths with the brightest smile on his face.
Blake might have frozen a bit for a moment but Jaune had never given her a reason to doubt him so she does. She does trust him.
It only took a moment for her own hand to reach his and then….he pulled her close.
Blake gasped and he saw Weiss blink behind her. He only gave her a wink however before turning back towards Adam who suddenly froze at them. Magnetically attaching Argent Rose back to his thigh, Jaune put his other hand on Blake's hips.
Placed like this, there was no denying what they looked like.
They looked like lovers.
Which was exactly what he was going for.
"Damn." Roman muttered appreciatively but Jaune only ignored him.
Instead, he kept his gaze pointed at Adam.
This….this was the guy who hurt Blake and so Jaune puts on the most cruel smile he could.
"You asked me who I am? Well, the name's Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, and boy does Blake love it."
And to really sell it, Jaune poked out his tongue and pulled Blake up into a searing kiss right in front of her ex.
He heard Pyrrha and Weiss gasp in surprise but for now, theirs were not the reaction he was waiting for.
"LET HER GO, HUMAN!" Adam Taurus roared, pointing his sword at them.
There it is. Adam Taurus glared at him from the corner of his eyes but Jaune only ignored him.
He kept his eyes on Blake even as Pyrrha raised her own shield, ready to protect them from any surprise attacks.
"Jaune, this isn't the time." Blake resisted for a bit as they separated but Jaune has kissed her a lot by now that he knew how to get her going.
His hands slid to her sides as he gave her the most charming grin he could.
"Relax, it's all part of the plan." He replied as he stared Adam in the eyes, he could see the anger, the pain, and the grief in the man as Adam grew tense.
The plan was simple, make Adam Taurus so angry that the Grimm goes for him instead of them. Not only would Jaune set their enemies against each other, he would also be able to pull his lovers to safety.
To do that however, he needed Blake's cooperation.
"Trust me." He whispers beside Blake's cat ears, causing them to twitch cutely as his breath ghosted over them.
Part of Jaune wanted to bite softly into them right now but he rejected that impulse. Previous experience told him that would just make things too intense for Blake.
And as much as he was doing this for show, he didn't want others to see her like he did. Blake's pleased face was for him and his girls alone.
Blake shivered at his words before nodding slowly and relaxing her body against his. "I trust you."
That was all he needed.
Jaune placed themselves sideways for Adam to see before diving back in to kiss her.
Their tongues entwined with each other and Jaune felt the relief and love come off of Blake's kiss.
For his part, he himself was happy to find her safe. While he didn't expect to find her and Weiss here with the rest of their team still missing, Jaune was glad that he at least had this moment to reassure and comfort her.
Still, they had a part to play. He needed to show Adam Blake was a willing participant and so he did.
His hands slid down to squeeze her luscious backside. He felt her moan into the kiss but it wasn't enough just yet. He kissed her deeper and not to be outdone, Blake slid her own hands up his back and pulled him closer.
It was the moment he was waiting for.
"BLAKE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Adam screamed as Jaune pulled away with a smack.
Blake looked breathlessly at him and he saw the blush prettily creeping up her cheeks. As much as he wanted to get lost in her beautiful amber eyes, Jaune had a job to do. He turned to Adam and wore the cruelest smile he could. It wasn't much but combined with his words, it got the job done.
"It should be obvious now, don't you think? Blake is showing her boyfriend some love."
Adam's jaw slacked at that as Jaune took note of the Grimm growling around them.
The plan was working.
No longer were the Grimm looking at him and his girls with hunger, this time, they were looking at Adam Taurus.
"I don't believe it." Adam murmured and Jaune saw Blake frown at that.
She hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded before opening her mouth as she looked at him.
"It's true, Adam, Jaune is my boyfriend now."
He doesn't know what makes him do it but before he even knew it, Jaune was opening his mouth to speak.
"Sorry, Adam, but I'm the upgrade."
The taunt leaves his mouth and his eyes widened before a smile grew as he saw Adam's anger crack. Grimm growled around them before tightening the circle by a bit.
Blake turned towards him then, her pretty amber eyes glinting before a grin crept up her face. It seems she understood what he was trying to go for.
All her fear and worry evaporated as he looked at him in awe and love.
Jaune blushed a bit at that.
He didn't really like to play the bully but not only was this a means of survival, this was also revenge.
Adam hurt Blake.
In his eyes, the guy was just getting his just desserts.
Though perhaps Blake's next words were a bit too excessive even for Jaune.
"He is." Blake nodded cruelly as she snuck an arm behind him but she wasn't done just yet.
"He's bigger than you."
Jaune's eyes widened as he felt her cup him. Whether that was true or not, Jaune did not care. All he cared about was how Blake suddenly massaged him.
"He's better than you."
He gasped as he felt Blake mold her body against his.
"He lasts longer than you."
He squeaked as she finished with a saucy smile before kissing his neck.
Damn, talk about emotional damage. Why fight him when you can crush him with words?
Jaune hardened, Pyrrha chuckled, Weiss huffed, Adam gawked, and Roman whistled appreciatively as Neo pouted at him before grinning as she made kissy faces.
Now if only those were the only people who were watching then he wouldn't have a problem.
Alas, who would have thought that they weren't the only ones there?
Location: Southern Agricultural District, Vale.
Time: 3:20 AM
When the first explosion happened, Lisa Lavender thought all hope of her staying relevant was lost.
After all, who would want to read about Pyrrha Nikos visiting an orphanage when Vale was being overrun by Grimm?
Hours of tiring effort and staying awake deep into the night went down the drain like the cups of coffee that went down her gullet.
Still, the world abides. It did not care for the amount of effort she put in on one thing and all she could do was adjust to it.
It took Lisa a few minutes of expressing her frustration after the initial explosion to gather herself but here she was, marching to get the new biggest scoop once again.
Her direction?
The breach.
She knew that no normal news crew would go there considering that's where the Grimm were coming from but what choice did she have?
It was the best way to be the most sensational news reporter in Vale.
It wasn't something a normal person would do but she wasn't normal, was she?
She was exceptional.
Say what you will about Lady Browning but the skills Lisa learned from her proved to be useful in sneaking around and defending herself from Grimm, still, it was not without risk.
Slipping past the defenses the police erected to contain the Grimm were easy. Hiding from the Grimm were a bit harder but it was still doable. Fighting them however was something she wanted to avoid.
Once a fight ensued, there was a high chance she would be bogged down and being bogged down was the worst thing that could happen.
Not only would the Grimm overwhelm her once they gather, she would also be sent back with the rest of the civilians by anyone who happens to come upon her rescue!
And that was unacceptable.
Still, the risk of death was worth it because Lisa Lavender landed the best scoop of her entire career.
There she was, hiding and resting behind a partially demolished store on her way to the breach when she heard the sounds of fighting and two loud crashes in successive order.
Peeking outside, Lisa Lavender came across the most sensational scene she would ever see.
Roman, Neo, and a man looking awfully like Adam Taurus faced Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Weiss Schnee, and black-haired cat Faunus.
Lisa gawked for a moment and before she knew it, her Scroll was already out of her pocket and recording the interaction. It was just in time because the next thing she knew, Jaune Arc was kissing Blake Belladonna.
Lisa raised an eyebrow at that as a grin crept up her face.
"Saucy, passionate, I like it."
Yet it was nothing compared to what happened next. She gasped. She giggled. She recorded.
She was sure the public would eat up everything they were going to see.
Blake Belladonna's sensual gliding against her lover.
Weiss Schnee's surprised but jealous face.
Pyrrha Nikos' expression of fond exasperation.
Yet the most intriguing reaction would come from Adam Taurus.
Who would have thought that it would cause Lisa to record the greatest, most scandalous, and sensational news of her career however?
Location: Southern Agricultural District, Vale.
Time: 3:21 AM
Adam slowly shook his head.
It broke his heart to see Blake like this, lustfully holding the human as if she couldn't live without him.
This wasn't like her at all.
The Blake he knew was never a simpering fool even when they were together. Sure, she may have followed his lead most of the time but she was headstrong, passionate about the cause, and had her own thoughts.
This….whore, who clung to the human male tightly, was nothing like her at all.
"What have they done to you, Blake?" He asked mournfully.
He saw Blake reel back a bit at his tone before looking at him confusedly.
"What are you talking about? They did nothing to me, Adam."
Adam only shook his head at that however.
"No, the Blake I knew would never enslave herself to humans." He stated as he sheathed Wilt inside Blush to gather his resolve, Aura, and focus. "No matter, whatever was done to you, I will end it and free you."
"Damn, dude, you are actually crazy. No wonder Blake broke up with you."
The human had the audacity to speak to him as he put his arm over Blake's shoulder.
Adam's focus immediately snapped to him at that.
"Silence, human! I will not have you tarnish our relationship with your slander!"
"It's not slander if it's true."
Adam's eye twitched at that.
"I will not listen to your lies, human. Your words might have worked on Blake but they won't work on me."
The blonde frowned uncomfortably at his words before opening his mouth to speak again. "I-what? I'm not trying to work anything on you. I like girls, I'm sorry."
He heard chuckling from the women beside the blonde but Adam's mind was busy blanking out to pay heed to them. Fury started to overwhelm him as he gritted his teeth but before he could even answer the human's insolence, Blake was already stepping forward with a sad smile on her face.
"I'm sorry, Adam."
No….
Her sad smile slowly turned into something happy as Adam's fury turned to fear as he dreaded what was coming next.
"This might be hard to hear for you but this is my own choice." She closed her eyes as a blush crept up her face while heat sufficed her body.
Gods, please no. He pleaded but it was futile.
Looking at her now, despite the raggedness and tiredness she was most likely feeling, she looked lovely.
It is certainly with that loveliness in her face did Blake open her eyes to speak to him.
"I love Jaune Arc by my own free will."
Adam felt the world explode into white as his heart broke yet in reality, nothing happened.
Nothing except the screaming coming out of his mouth.
"TRAITOR!"
The word left him before he could even think of it but as he saw Blake's unaffected face, he found himself not caring about stopping it. Instead, it only fueled him further.
Gone was the love he had for her and only grief, pain, and fury remained.
"BLAKE BELLADONNA! YOU DARE WHORE YOURSELF TO A HUMAN?! I PROCLAIM YOU A TRAITOR TO YOUR RACE!"
"I-I didn't!" She flinched and Adam reveled at finally getting a reaction yet still it was not enough.
"What do you call your own actions then?! You, who have enslaved yourself to a human! You are a disgrace to Faunuskind!"
Blake looked stricken at his words but Adam's heart only burned in both fury and pain at the notion of Faunus enslaved under Humans. He had no care left for a wanton whore who would willingly enslave themselves to their master-
"SHE IS NOT!"
Adam's eyes snapped towards the voice and he saw Weiss Schnee shakily standing up as she glared at him.
"Blake Belladonna is neither a slave nor a disgrace!"
Adam scoffed at the Schnee's words.
"I wouldn't expect a Schnee to understand the realities of being a slave, after all, you have always been the masters." Adam scowled furiously but he will give her this, the Weiss Schnee did not flinch.
Instead, she drew herself up and pulled herself closer to the blonde man. He frowned but grew curious at her actions and yet his world stops once again when she speaks next.
"If Blake is a slave for loving Jaune then I am a slave to love as well."
All eyes then blew wide open as Weiss Schnee pulled Jaune Arc for a kiss.
Location: Southern Agricultural District, Vale.
Time: 3:22 AM
Her first kiss.
Weiss Schnee was having her first kiss.
She didn't even kiss Jaune the night of the dance despite doing lewd things together, too shy at the time to cross that threshold at least.
Call her a hypocrite but Weiss Schnee was a romantic. Whenever it happened, she always imagined her first kiss would be after exchanging a few words of love.
Alas, it was to be right in the middle of a stand-off against Adam Taurus himself just to prove a point.
Blake better thank her for this because if Adam Taurus labeled Blake as a slave for falling in love with Jaune Arc, what better way to disprove him than to label herself one as well.
A thrill shot up her spine at the thought of her really being Jaune's slave but the point she was trying to make was that it was impossible to make Blake a slave because that would mean a Schnee was one as well.
It was so impossible that one might as well try and break a law of reality. Judging by Adam Taurus' slacked jaw as she glanced at him, he was realizing the truth of things.
Blake Belladonna and Weiss Schnee were not slaves, Blake just left him of her own free will.
And also, Jaune was probably just that much better as a lover for Blake.
Heat rushed up her cheeks as that thought entered her mind and he proves it to her by making her first kiss pleasurable despite the circumstances.
This close, she could feel the hard armor scraping against her chest but as he pulled her upward, she felt safety and security instead of discomfort. What started as a way to disprove Adam's point shifted into something soft and caring.
She felt his tongue pry open her inexperienced lips and Weiss' eyes widened as he licked her teeth. She couldn't help but moan at that and the next thing she knew, he was lashing her tongue with his.
Her eyes closed as she felt his hands slide downwards to her petite derriere. She gasped a bit however when he lifted her small frame upward, her feet left the ground and the next thing she knew, she was instinctively wrapping her legs around him. Her combat skirt bunched up near her hips but she didn't care.
All she cared about was the insistent need, love, and affection Jaune Arc was giving her.
Eventually however, their need for air forced their lips away from each other. Weiss stared breathlessly, her face leveled with his as he carried her by her butt.
"Wow." Jaune murmured, touching her forehead with his as his eyes looked at her in awe.
She couldn't help but feel hot at that as her own hands settled on his nape.
"Wow, indeed." Weiss repeats back with half-lidded eyes and a smile on her face.
"Thanks, Snow Angel." He grinned and Weiss couldn't help but giggle at that before giving him a peck on the lips.
"You're welcome." She replied, blushing at that nickname she used to hate.
Gods, how she wanted to call him that again and again. Eventually however, the world reminds them where they are and who they were with.
"Ahem." Pyrrha cleared her throat and raised an eyebrow as she looked at them.
Weiss blushed as she tried to shimmy down out of Jaune's hands. She missed the feel of his large hands on her face but Weiss only squeaked out embarrassedly at Pyrrha.
"Sorry, I think we lost ourselves there for a moment."
"I'm sure." Pyrrha drawled before gazing cheekily at Jaune who bashfully rubbed the back of his head.
No words were needed as Jaune only needed to open his arms for Pyrrha to leap towards him.
They met in a searing kiss as the two partners made out in front of all of them while Weiss took up Pyrrha's position of guarding them against any surprise attack together with Blake.
They shouldn't have even worried because Adam Taurus, Roman Torchwick, and even Neopolitan gawked at them.
It was a risk exposing their relationship like this to their enemies, especially when Pyrrha and her had their own circumstances why they wouldn't want their relationship to be known by the public just yet but Weiss wasn't worried.
After all, who would believe the words of a criminal over them?
Now if only they were the only ones watching them then they never would have had a problem.
